On Friday February 22 I had a birthday event at Remington Range. There were 9 of us total, ranging from beginners to advanced shooters. The Staff at Remington Rang were very professional in the manner that they organized my event. Matt and John were the main two that made sure we had everything we needed to SAFELY use the range. I do believe that the crew at this range understands that safety has to come first in order for people to enjoy themselves. So, if you own or thinking about owning a Firearm, swing by Remington Range, ask for Matt or John. Great job, and I will see you guys soon.
The staff at the Adventure Outdoors range is consistently unpleasant. Unfortunately this range is close to my house and, because of proximity, a place I go to practice with some frequency. But when time permits, I’d rather go almost anywhere else in Atlanta. The staff is so unfriendly it has become a running joke among fellow shooters—especially when so many other ranges and gun shops are pleasant and helpful. **EDIT** Response to owners reply: I didnt come in with loaded magazines. I never do. Not sure what youre referring to and unfortunately you didnt address the customer service attitude of your associates. Most businesses seek to provide solutions, or at least give the appearance on a public platform like Google Maps. I attached a screenshot of my initial review along with several others--seems like many people share my concerns.
Great selection on guns in general. However, customer service is terrible. Out of the 20-25 different employees i have spoken to over time 90% of them were either rude, or just acted like you are a pest for asking about a product.Every single time I have called to ask about a product or its availability it’s treated as a burden.Take your business to a smaller store if you can help it.Also, their accessories are subpar. They stock only the most typical items that could be bought almost anywhere.
This shooting range is just fine. Safe (watch the video one time and get a range card, and of course a nice range master inside the shooting lanes). The lines are fine, the controls work, there is tape etc. It is a bit narrow and more tables would be nice. If you want to shoot there is nothing wrong with Remington Hall. The store is huge with thousands of guns, accessories, and just about anything else you need for your shooting needs.
Adventure Outdoors thank you for your AMAZING gun selection that kept my husband occupied for several hours. He enjoyed your wide selection of guns and your staffs great customer service. He enjoyed getting to make use of some range time while I was in a conference. Thanks for taking great care of him and he will be a loyal customer whenever we are in town! Staff keep up your AMAZING customer service.
I have been a store customer for at least 25 years if I can include the old location and have spent a lot of money over the years and sent a ton of people there. The selection and pricing can be really good. I have wanted to try out the range. I have rural property and most of the year I shoot there but in the winter I do go to a range a few times. It so happened my friend recently had hand surgery and felt like he needed smaller lighter gun. I offered to let him try my Sig 365. He lives in Marietta so I suggested we meet at the range at Adventure. At home I got out my custom target revolver and the Sig and I filled three hard to fill Sig magazines with target ammo I bought at Adventure and made sure the weapons were clear. My friend got there first, checked out the store and bought a couple boxes of ammo. A sign on the door but not on the website says no loaded mags so in the lobby I emptied my magazines and cleared my carry micro. I went in waited a while to speak to someone at the desk he was nice and mentioned if we had not been there we would need to watch a video before we got a lane and he jokingly said “but you get free popcorn”. I have 50 years handgun experience, but don’t at all mind a safety video particularly when I know other shooters will have watched it too. I get to the room and jokingly say “hey there is no popcorn”. It’s all down hill from there. Some big guy says you need to leave your bag outside. I asked about security and that must have been an insult. Then he asks have you been drinking? I was shocked and said “no not in the last two weeks” (Literally I drink 3-4 beers a year and maybe a half dozen cocktails and frankly I have not yet had a drink in 2020). Then I am getting the evil eye like I am lying to a cop then he asks again and then asked if I had been upstairs. Well that’s the first I heard about any upstairs. Is ther a bar upstairs? Then he asks if I have any guns or mags in my pockets. I could not say no as I was not sure if I had tosssd the micro in the bag after I cleared it so felt my jacket and my empty mouse gun was still in my jacket so I pulled it out. Outside you recall I dumped the magazine and put it in my bag with the empty mag trying to abide by the sign. I showed him the gun had no magazine and racked the slide and he wanted me to rack it and hold it open so he could see. This was feeling exactly like a nightmare stop by a cop with a serious attitude. I realized no way was this going to change to fun or a good experience not was I ever going to become a “good guy” so I said I was leaving and had a feeling I was somehow not going to be allowed to. I was the entirely 100% cooperative honest and polite. At 65 years old as an educated professional and a paying customer I truly don’t don’t need to suffer this attitude . This winter I have been to 3 other metro ranges and was treated great every time by genuine customer and safety oriented employees the same has happened for decades at every range I have ever visited. I drove 30 miles to meet my friend and and try this place; honestly if I lived next door to this place I would forever more drive 30 miles to shoot somewhere else. You can see from a couple other reviews many people have no problem but some do and a couple felt it was because of skin color well at least I can say an older white NRA guy can get the Gestapo treatment too.
I just joined the AO range membership after dumping Stoddards post about 5 years of loyal patronage, as they regressed from been awesome top notch to their current state.Been AO customer for a while, I always enjoyed their terrific, almost unbelievable store, so for $25 a month the range was definitely an option worth trying. I bought from this place about four guns before, and it feels cool buying there, famous place. Some guys behind the counters are super knowledgeable, and I like coming on weekdays when they arent overloaded with a crown and can talk to you, offering opinion, offering options, really superb shopping experience. Because they got so much of good stuff, they arent pushing to you one brand or one model. So the range... fist impression: the range is clean, which is great, the air quality is great(!!!) they make you watching a movie, which is great as it adds to safety, they have range officer on range, which is again for safety is awesome, operating targets pads are simple and intuitive. Everyone was attentive and polite. Nice. The shooting stations are separated by transparent walls which is nice, makes it easy to observe areas around you instead of restroom-like privacy cabins, have very steady shelves with slots for ammo, so the loose rounds wouldnt be rolling around and fall off. What I didnt like though is the range ammo I used, it was dirty as s..t and it took a significant cleaning effort afterwards. On other hand, theres plenty of ammo to choose from in the store, so next time Im going to opt for something nicer.Oh! As I joined the membership I got pretty cool AO members shooter shirt and cap! A very nice shirt with ventilation and sweat absorption, Im impressed.Again, Im a fresh there, but first impressions been good.
ZERO! ZERO! ZERO!My rating would be a Zero or a negative number if it was possible! From start to finish this place was a very bad experience! To start from the beginning my short lived membership with these people was ALL bad!I am not allowed enough space here to tell it all so I will just highly recommend you dont get a membership
Ill-tempered old man by the counter told me to unload 15+ magazines so he can inspect each round. I thought about it then said youre more than welcome to unload and reload them all. He looked irate about it after I refused his request. I requested to cancel my membership he got very infuriated and told me its my fault me and my friends are shooting steel at the range. I dont shoot steel at the range and they are loaded beforehand to save time at the range. I have no idea who you are talking about and you are making unwarranted claims against me. Then at the range pretty sure he sent his helper to check on me and stopped me during my range session to check my ammunition again. When trying to cancel my membership they gave me the run around. Remington range sent me to customer service who sent me to Remington range who sent me back to customer service, thanks for wasting another 15-20 minutes of my time. I wont be back
I didnt have a bad experience like the others at all. it was my first time so they had me watch an 8 min video. I brought my own targets and they provide a large cardboard backer for you to tape targets to along with making tape. I cant comment on the price for targets.I liked the target systems that allowed you to enter a distance. I couldnt get mine to turn in the timed mode. I thought it was easy to use. they allow you to shoot your reloads here where other ranges dont.the only thing I didnt like was the grates under you to catch brass. I couldnt retrieve mine, however they said next time to ask for cardboard to put over the grate. I suppose the grate is a plus for those who dont reload cause youre not slipping on brass on the floor. I shot for about 2 hours and paid $12. Id recommend going.
I have been a customer at Adventure Outdoors for over 10 years. I have used your range in the past and always been been impressed. I bought my wife to range for a refresh on her Smith & Wesson . The clerk Weymon helped my wife explaining gun safety and shooting rules. She was was impressed with Weymon and when she called her girlfriends about his help and assistance when they go to the range.
Customer service at the range has taken a sharp nose dive. This range used to be my favorite spot to shoot. Staff behind the counter either unaware of policy or just don’t care. Make sure when you get to your range that a new piece of paper telling you not to shoot above the line is placed there or they will charge you. I’m leaving this review right after leaving the range and I am sooooo disappointed at this place. It deserves less then one star.
I was referenced here by one of my coworkers I saw that I could order my firearms online and pick up instore which I thought was fine considering I live in Stone Mountain and I sometimes go to that side of town so I ordered 2 firearms I liked hoping to pick them up, I also placed a separate order which I canceled a few days later just fine and mind you they’re supposed to call you when your order is ready to be picked up yes, But now I Waited over a month and a half since I placed my order so far and received nothing no calls no text or email at least to tell me if they have been “back ordered” or something so now I’m worried about my money.. I tried calling to get an update on my order because its my hard earned money I decided to spend with them but I was greeted with an automated system and No answer . I texted the customer service option on the website and I was texted back “call in tomorrow and ask for Annette she can give you a updated status” me knowing better I said ok I called the next day to the same number with the automated system pressed the options for operator waited no answer tried the order check up and “more assisnatce” and no answer so I texted again and this time I got “What do you need to know about your “weapons”? Were we ordering something for you? “ So I sent a picture of my receipt and explained my situation they replied with “If they are not available or they are backordered with the manufacturers and distributors, we have to wait until they are available. We are at their mercy.” And I thought to myself it’s my fault how? At least let us know what’s going on with our order so I asked for a refund then they hit me with “In no way are we trying to do you wrong. Please understand that more guns were sold in the month of March than any month in the past many years. That put a big strain on supply chain. Throughout the industry” once again I thought to myself its my fault how? But I guess I probably couldn’t of picked the worst time to purchase firearms online hoping to pick up In store..Save your self the headache and go to the store in person..End of story I’m driving over to them in Smyrna just for a refund🤦🏻♂️waste of time and money for me at least..can’t speak for others.
Do not do business with this store! I have tried twice to order something from them and both times have received the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I normally dont leave reviews and just choose not to support the business instead, but people need to be warned about this place. No one in the store can seem to access the ability to track orders placed and just shrug their shoulders. Both times I have been given a date as when to expect my order, only to have it not honored and to top it off have no one know where the order is in transit AT ALL! I understand things happen and orders can get delayed, but they cant even tell you where it is let alone if anything has happened. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone who knows anything. Ive called so many times trying to get answers just to be hung up, put on hold until I hang up and try again. I will never shop at this store again and do my best to make sure everyone who asks about this places knows what they are getting into.
Another great range day with my son(13) had a blast. Range officers are as always polite, informative and ready to assist. I would visit more or maybe get a menbership if I lived in the area. Now Im at The Cheesecake factory smelling like gun powder (which I think is the best fragrance out there)
Normally I have a decent experience here but yesterday fell extremely short of that. There was some scale tipping range master with glasses going lane to lane harassing everybody for no apparent reason. I didn’t catch his name so I’ll just call him Thanos because this guy was busy meddling with everyone in a very condescending manner. I’m ok with enforcing range rules & safety but it got to the point where it was annoying. I had just finished firing my pistol & was adjusting the sights on my UNLOADED rifle & Thanos taps me on the shoulder pointing out signs in the range I’m very capable of reading on my own. I said I’m just adjusting my sights & he looks at my target & says “yea I know but the same can be done with your target at 30ft too.” I didn’t even get the opportunity to put my mag in & make the necessary adjustments to my target before he came pointing out noticeable rules that are posted everywhere. Then as I was packing up he came to the empty lane next me breathing heavily & leaning over the counter staring like a mad man. While still hunched over in the other lane he poked his head into my lane to make sure I didn’t shoot above the $3 penalty line. He then went back to staring crazily as if he was plotting on ways to make hell even hotter. As I was walking out Thanos made his way to another lane to wreak havoc. So much for that membership I was considering here. If you’ve read this far Beware of Thanos the range God pirate ladies & gents. This is in response to the owner: you know what’s unappreciated the unnecessary trolling & prejudices he displayed in there after I paid my hard earned money. If someone insulted your intelligence & was ignorant toward you I’d think you’d find it offensive. I wasn’t going to put it out there but the others he was being disrespectful towards were of the same race as I am & I don’t think it’s a coincidence. Just put a sign up that says “No Blacks Allowed” already if he’s going to be allowed to “do his job” the way management instructed. If I knew his name I would have used it in my initial review. I don’t have to hide behind a review it was what I actually experienced in your range. I get it tho you want to protect your brand & employee but you weren’t there so don’t tell me how I need to respond to the lack of customer appreciation. I guess it’s my fault he’s not trained or cultured enough to respectfully interact with everyone that doesn’t look like him right? Just so we’re clear I didn’t break any rules neither was I being unsafe. I did absolutely nothing to warrant the bad guy I’m in charge attitude he gave me. If I’m doing anything wrong by all means correct me. I know It’s hard to fathom but I can actually read & comprehend I didn’t need all of the theatrics from him. I didn’t see him giving any caucasians hell for no reason. You could probably care less but I won’t be coming back to be disrespected or to spend my money in Remington Range. To the owner: obviously you didn’t read my first review very well because I didn’t break any rules & I didn’t need a verbal assault from your employee. Get your employees the proper training on how to speak with & how to treat your customers. You weren’t there for the unnecessary exchanges so stop it with the tough guy act. You don’t have the answers Sway. If management is anything like you it would have been a waste of my time to speak to either one of you. You could have a million shooters there it doesn’t take away from the fact that you all are racist at Remington Range so miss me with the statistics brody. I’m in Adventure Outdoors at least once a week so If I’m doing anything wrong it’s a terrible job at hiding. You racist bigots don’t scare me I’m familiar with your kind. Life goes on trust me 🙃 One last thing buddy the range rules apply to everyone right? Well why is it that Tom & Billy didn’t get any range gospel spit at them? Why was it just the black couple in the corner, myself, & the other two black shooters? Answer that since you were there.
Went here several times by myself and with group of friends. Range DOES NOT ALLOW steel cased ammunition. Will make you unload magazines and will actively take away your ammo. Upon asking they claim that steel CASE (not core, not tip, not jacket) is a hazard to their range. They will allow shooting 7.62x54R though, so I guess its not that much of a hazard. Make you watch a 10 minute long safety video before hand.In group of friends we got 3 lanes, were not told that we would get kicked out after an hour. In the range we were in, 3 lanes were broken/not operational, and management decided to let more shooters in, and saying we would have to wait in line to get back into the range. No RSO on the range, even though lots of new shooters, so my friend and I had to basically act as RSO for 4 people.Lane controls are unintuitive and sometimes broken. Instead of having just a switch to move the target in/out theres a garbage printerscreen function control that requires 4 button presses before you can set a target distance. For a charge by the hour range they do everything in their power to slow you down and not much to improve the experience.
Good prices, but didnt feel like I was welcome there at all.Aside from this very helpful Cuban guy, everyone seemed like they had more important things to do and several (5+) employees; a heavy guy, the gunsmith, and everyone in the front wouldnt even look at me.Theres probably 30+ employees in this store at any given time. So I could infer this isnt a shortage issue.Im not sure if they were working on their gun safety thesis, or rehearing a Kurt Russell movie but can you seriously not stop a conversation with a fellow employee to help a customer?Does American Outdoors want your business?Sure.Do they want to keep you safe?Definitely. Are they trying to help you improve as a shooter?According to who you are.Is this just another knock-off version of Cabelas, where you can get in, get out and not have to speak to a soul?Yes.Do I think they genuinely care about their customers?Absolutely not.
Worst Range ever, my family and I were discriminated against from the time we walked in we got looks of horror no one even opened their mouth to speak. Once time to shoot we were given such a hard time one of my family memebers decided he didn’t even want to shoot anymore after paying and didn’t even care about the refund that’s just how BAD it was he was going to let them keep his money. The customer service representatives were very unprofessional while I understand this is a gun range and not a million dollar company respect is due to a dog and your job is your job. Take pride in it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone! Not of the colored anyway!
I used to love coming here, but when I came in & saw they had a new policy that included a $3 fee for shooting above a line on target, I knew it was time to change shooting ranges, as I walked in they were trying to justify a $12 added fee to an older gentlemen who barely touched the surface of that line, he explained other ranges don’t even care (which is true). I now knew money & greed were a priority. It now becomes a game of how many dollars in added revenue can we get for someone simply missing the target.
Once again I went into the range and received A++ service from Chano, the associate there. I love the passion that he has for the job but also making sure that everyone is safe at the same time. He made me feel do comfortable with a fire arm. Thank you again Chano for the amazing service.
Excellent experience. Cost effective and safe. I couldnt recommend going here more.Kinda tight enclosures though - got burned a few times by ejected shells that ejected straight up and bounced off the top of my enclosure forcing back on me. Not cool to get burned from hot casings. I had collared shirt buttoned up completely - didnt keep two of the shells from hitting my right shoulder and then to my neck (as I was shooting) where they stuck. Of course an ejection path that tracks back over your head is the primary reason - and I had a XD9 which I had to sell - petty sure glocks and most other pistols have safer ejection paths.
This place was so bad I would give it no stars if I could. This was by far the worst shooting range I have ever been to. the service was slow as molasses. expensive! you have to watch a stupid video for 8 minutes beforehand, we were there for half an hour and we still had not popped a shot. No steel casings which is stupid! and almost dropped my gun 2ice during ammo inspection. Finally we left with not one round shot.
It seems that Race and Age is played a huge factor as some employees and the manager take your concern for employees disrespecting the customer being very hostile and speaking to a paying customer in a nasty tone and Manner isn’t acceptable . It’s sad that a employeee I the range has to apologize as she realizes I’m being followed out and being treated In a bad manor . Regardless if your speaking calm after respectful they don’t respect you as a equal .
Very unsafe place! Teenagers playing with guns like a toy in the waiting area of the range. They tell you to watch a video about safety in the range but looks like that safety doesnt apply in the waiting area of the range. Not a good place to take your family or friends..
Well-run, well-ventilated, spacious double range with a total of 17 lanes for shooting handguns, carbines, rifles and even shotguns (slugs only). Huge store full of shooting supplies next door, and try the meaty Brunswick Stew and smoked BBQ at their in-house restaurant.

2022-03-10First thing, customer service is terrible. The reason for the one star is primarily that. If I am going some place to spend my money, show the customer you want their business. Second, I have never been to a range where you are charged for shooting the upper portion of a board that your target is attached to. I’m not a sniper , but do my best to hit my target. People are at the shooting range to practice, you have to expect misses and mishaps that’s the cost of owning a gun range. They charge you $3 for every hit on the aforementioned cardboard . Don’t miss your target that’s all I have to say. Other than that , the range is very nice .

2021-10-08Came here in lieu of my regular range(closed for IDPA match) to plink. Brought 2 handguns and some ammunition in a bag to shoot. Intended to purchase some range ammo and targets, but was asked to leave because I had steel cased rifle ammunition that I had honestly forgotten about in my bag.I offered to surrender the offending ammunition as well as my bag and just shoot store bought ammunition, but was turned away anyways. None of the handguns in my possession at the time are capable of firing the offending steel cased .300AAC Blackout ammunition. I was made to feel like I was some kind of criminal for an honest mistake. Tony was not helpful when I called to discuss.Take my advice and go to a range that is more considerate of its customers, where the staff cares about their work and has the ability to use common sense. There are many ranges in the immediate area that offer better service with friendlier staff at a similar price.

2020-02-29I would like to once again let all concerned know that I have had a wonderful experience at Remington range .. Matt, was extremely helpful with all my questions and made some very good suggestions concerning firearms. The whole environment is positive friendly and at the same time professional! I would and will recommend this range to everyone!I would like to make a correction to my last post ... Micheal Madden is the person who has helped me and my family to get set up with a family plan at the range. He’s knowledgeable, friendly and helpful! All the personnel at the range are professional and attentive! It’s always a enjoyable experience!

2022-02-07Extremely disrespectful and rude I called to ask questions about the firing range I was greeted very rudely and was hung up on after I disclosed that I didnt have a holster because Ive just purchased a firarm for 1st time and I havent got a holster yet he would have been better off offering me to purchase a holster then being rude but just because you own a business doesnt mean you know how to conduct business

2020-09-07My son and I just went to the range, and had a great experience. Blair was one of the nicest and most respectful persons that I have meet there in a long time. Not saying they are bad people but Blair went above and beyond. It was a pleasure meeting her. Hope she is there a long time. Just what Todd and the crew needed. Thanks again.Robert Jones

2021-05-11Had ammo that was lead core and the magnet stuck so I got banned. Offered to purchase other ammo and was told I was banned for 24 hours. I had no clue there were traces of steel in the lead core ammo I purchased. I understand it’s policy but I will never do business at this range nor store again.

2021-03-18Do not get a range membership there. If you need to cancel it you will have to stop by and do it on there terms. Meaning within 5 days of end of month. Has to be done in person you cant just call them and say I would like to cancel my membership. If you move out of state they want copies of a bill with your name on it via email and then you can go through all that process. Its a bunch of bs if you ask me. I wont be back there again. I was told when I got the membership for the range I could cancel at anytime by phone.

2021-06-02Kind of rude people you come in they’re asking questions and they look at you funny. I know some parts of the Georgia country are not the best places to go in the world but I would expect better customer service for my money. Did it have a good selection of firearms or Ammo either, this place is on its way out of the door.

2020-01-30I do not recommend this range or their membership. Im all about safety and I understand that a large gun store with a range needs to be strict about unknown shooters firing guns for what is most likely their first time. Knowing what these rules are and having been to the range a few times I decided to get a membership. My thought was a range member has a name on file, should make the check-in/check-out process quicker. Also because you are a member perhaps they know you understand the range rules and wont scrutinize you as much. This was not the case. In fact it felt like they took a longer look at me because I came to the range prepared. They added a new rule where you have to empty any pre-loaded clips because they want to check for steel case ammo (Adventure Outdoors claims that the steel case ammo rule is due to flash hazard on the range. If this is true then it means they are not maintaining the range and/or the ventilation isnt working. However we all know its due to them recycling and reloading ammo for profit.) Even though my targets had the size printed right on the front I still had to pull it out and unfold it to show I wasnt lying. I decided I wanted to rent a gun from the counter because its part of the membership. What they dont tell you is that you must buy their ammo at the range. At first this seems like a common sense rule because they dont want to harm the firearms but if you take a look at their guns you will notice that they have not been cleaned, and are in very rough shape. Also the ammo I was firing was purchased minutes prior at Adventure Outdoors (Same ammo, same brand.) I even had the receipt, but that did not matter. If I wanted to shoot their gun I had to buy another box at a significant markup. At Adventure Outdoors they run deals for range members every so often. I attempted to use that discount twice and one time it worked the second time they took down my info but no discount was recorded. Back at the range, I have never seen the place adequately staffed. Sometimes the place is empty, sometimes its a room full of shooters, two staff members working and several staff members hanging out. To summarize, the membership isnt worth it. If the range is having flashup issues then is not safe. Thats not on the shooters, thats on range maintenance. Dont give them your business and stay safe out there!EDIT: I almost forgot to mention, when I realized I had been played I immediately went to cancel the membership, thats when I was informed you can only cancel on the last couple of days each month.Response to owner: Clearly I read the rules and you did not read my full complaint. Management is your issue here. There are other ranges that have comparable memberships, some cheaper, some more but you can guarantee that they are more professional about how they handle themselves.

2019-06-25Had a great time with my husband here at their range. I enjoyed watching the informative training video they make you view before you can start shooting. That is very responsible of them. In addition, a supervisor walked us into the range and ran through a list of rules and regulations, which helped us get started. The store is full of sporting goods, everything outdoors or athletic that you could want is available here. Only complaint is that I had to find someone to help me on the sales floor.
