Very nice and accommodating staff and a nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised with the room and how stocked it was. I was easily accommodated with an early check-in without a reservation, it was seamless and the staff member (Justin) at the front desk was very nice, professional, and courteous. The breakfast offered is very good as far as hotel breakfast go. The rooms are well stocked and clean. I was able to cook all my meals in my room. I did have some dishes that needed a rinse but is that really that big of a deal? The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I would highly recommend for extended stays or even if you’re just passing through.
Such a nice hotel. Staff is so sweet and friendly. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The rooms were clean. Updated and had a full kitchen in the 1 bedroom we stayed at. The pack n play we requested was BRAND new and had a nice clean protector. Would go back again. Love it.
Very nice hotel!!!Check in was smooth and easy and the front desk agent (Justin) was personal and knowledgeable. Our suite (room with extras) was fantastic. If you like early breakfast there is a a complimentary breakfast with multiple choicesParking is free and also easy joining the parking lot for the Marriott Courtyard (WHICH IS ALSO A GREAT HOTEL)Yes we will stay here again.
The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, from the front desk to breakfast and housekeeping. There was definitely some age in the room as far as seeing scratches on cabinets and walls, stain on a table, etc., which was expected, but that never made us feel like the room was not well kept or sanitized, which we very much appreciated during these times. Breakfast food was good for hotel breakfast, but the breakfast staff was what made it so pleasant. I wish all restaurant staff treated customers the way they treated guests. Lastly, location is great, plenty of places to eat including those in walking distance. Right off the highway too. Will definitely stay here again!
Hotel is nice and clean. Whoever designed the kitchen sink area needs to be retrained. The sink is large and deep and in a corner, but the faucet is behind the sink and very difficult to reach unless you are tall or have a stepstool. Quiet place. Breakfast was hot and offered a great selection.
We had an amazing stay. Super location and a fantastically comfortable room with a full kitchen (6th floor corner room overlooking the treetops)! Professional and friendly service & great amenities. Our only feedback is that the return vent needed to be dusted and there was a long black hair on one of our towels. But, overall, we would most definitely stay here again!
I have stayed at this hotel twice now. Both times, the hotel was clean, comfortable and met my expectations. What makes this an exceptional place to stay at is the lady who runs the breakfast in the mornings both times I have stayed there. She is such a kind and friendly person and her joyous spirit left me with a smile to start my day. This is very unique for a hotel. Who needs coffee when she is working.
The rooms/suite is extremely well planned with a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, spacious counters, large sink and 2 stove top burners. The walk in shower is all perfect. The dressing table is a nice touch, the sink and counter space was enough to accommodate your personal needs. The king bed was very comfortable and the reading lights beside the bed were great. The workstation desk was very spacious and the number of drawers was adequate for extended stays.
Staff is kind but my request was not conducted. Some was clean but some parts were not perfectly cleaned or fixed (e.g., vent, toilet door, right side of bed ramp). My family stayed with the points that made us somehow feel accepting a not-the-best room because the room would not be inspected throughly. I requested an early check in but the room was not ready when we arrived even though the app stated the room was ready. As a gold elite member, my daughter expected a welcome candy and amenities but anything was not offered. I would like to point this out to improve services. Overall, my family enjoyed the stay. Thanks.
This was the cleanest hotel I had ever stayed at they were actually in the elevators wiping down the hand bars sanitizing everything as you went the breakfast bar everything was like Jimmy Deans individually wrapped cereal into visually wrapped the pool area was really nice but this is a cleanest room I think I have ever stayed in I will highly recommend it
The team at this Marriott property where awesome! Our bulldog would not get on the elevator or walk up the stairs so we could get to our room. The staff tried tirelessly to help him go up the stairs or get on the elevator. At the end they moved us to a room on the first floor where we stayed for 3 days. Great hotel, and even greater staff!
Friendly and efficient staff. Great location, clean and efficient hotel. Kitchen amenities were good and other dining options or grocery options are close by. Quiet location with places to walk or run for exercise.I’ve stayed here several times for business for the above reasons.
Hospitable staff especially Manny & Justin at Front Desk, Ameena F&B Supervisor, and Claribel in Housekeeping. It was clean and well maintained. Breakfast options although good couldve been tastier. Room was a bit smaller than usual for a Residence Inn but clean. Hallways were a bit cold considering it was late summer. Couldve had charging ports for devices near bed as is common these days. The above notwithstanding, still an enjoyable stay.
This is my second time here and the location is great. Unfortunately, I asked For a room change because the first room assigned to me stank like rotten meat, the second room was better but I noticed Some dirt in the kitchenette sink and loose hair in the shower. The room was also dusty. I have Been itching badly from my stay there. I hope there no bedbugs though. I’ll rate it low for cleanliness.
My K-9 and I were treated with the utmost pofessional, courteous and personable service that I could ever imagine for a six week stay. Housekeepers left the room spotless despite the dog hairs everywhere. The front desk personnel will make sure everything is perfect for your stay. Really, there is no need to look elsewhere --- make a reservation here now rather than wasting your precious time looking elsewhere.
The staff is very friendly & the hotel is conveniently located to sit you close to everything you could need - restaurants, shopping, the highway....The front desk associate working the afternoon of 24 January (Justin, I think) was very friendly & efficient during the check-in process, which is always appreciated. He was friendly with a warm smile every time Id pass through the lobby. Great service! Housekeeping does a great job keeping the hotel clean and, even though I did not utilize the shuttle service, the driver was was very friendly whenever I saw him. True southern hospitality from the entire team! The only reason for four stars as opposed to five is because my suite had a shub. One reason I selected this hotel over another is I strongly prefer a stand up shower, which I had during my first stay here. The staff was excellent, the four is not at all representative of their efforts, only of my preferences.
It very nice hotel all the staff ate courteous and polite. An the maid service is 5 star they clean everything even door knobs and handles they sanitize and stuff. An then there free breakfast served between 6 and 9 am is delicious. An there pool area is nice they have a big propane gas grill with a big screen tv by it. An they have nice furniture in the pool area and in the lobby they have smart tvs and nice furniture. An then they have a deluxe laundry room where u can wash your own laundry for 50€ to $1. An they have a gym to that nice has treadmills, stair stepper machine, exercise bike, and free hand weights and stuff which is really nice to. An then they have a conference room where u can hold parties or meetings on that is spacious nice and comfortable. Overall i give my stay there 5 stars for service, cleanliness, rooms, breakfast, gym, pool etc etc. I would recommend anyone to most definitely stay there in the residence inn @ the marriot. Like i say the staff are kind , courteous, respectful, and overall they care bout your concerns, cares, needs, issues & problems. An are there to fix it and tend to it right away that what i call A one 5 star plus plus service.
I had to come to Atlanta for work. I was not looking forward to staying in Atlanta until I got to my room. I was very surprised at how nice, clean and big it was. If I had known before hand I would have planned better as it had a full kitchen! I loved my stay. Everyone was very friendly especially the lady who put out the breakfast every morning.
I was under the impression that this was a no pets allowed hotel, my first night, not only did someone came into my room with a whole different key. There were dogs everywhere, some barking and almost attacking people. It’s was very unpleasant and for the amount that I paid it was definitely not worth it
This used to be my favorite hotel in all of atlanta area. It is shame that it is getting worse every time I stay here. Where do I even start? I was really tired from driving for over 8 hours and without saying anything handed over my credit card and drivers license. The clerk gave me the Duh, What do you want me to do with these? look. What else would I want aside from checking in? No welcoming of platinum member, no mention of welcome points, just a simple hand off of my keys and I was in. I am attaching the pictures of the rooms. Furnitures and wall decos need upgrade. The morning after I found that the ironing board couldnt be used. I asked for replacement and the same clerk who welcomed me says shes all by herself and the ironing board cannot be replaced until housekeeping come to work much later in the morning. I insisted that I need it to iron my shirts and she begrudgingly says shell ask the neighboring courtyard hotel. A similar looking yet functional one was put in my room later that morning. It is now my 6th night here at this hotel and they still didnt take the old one even after several requests. Tonight, since the housekeeping didnt replenish anything in the bathroom, I asked for some more shampoo. I also needed quarters and detergent to do my laundry. A different clerk manning the lobby says, I am all by myself and no I dont have any shampoos or quarters This hotel had been booked solid for the past week and the hotel owner decided to have one employee managing hundreds of guests? I had to walk up to the courtyard and got me the quarters and shampoos. Currently this hotel costs about $60 more per night than the courtyard. The lady who handed over the quarters and detergent reminded me of how other hotel treats you.Mark my words, I will never ever come back to this hotel. This had been the single worst hotel stay in my life. Nothings in stock and no one at the hotel care for guests comfort. They are not even sorry and I am sure they are just as unhappy about working here and it shows.
After staying at a SpringHill Suites by Marriott property recently and being blown away by the cleanliness of their rooms/facility, and their friendly staff, I had high hopes for this property. My family typically chooses to stay at Residence Inn when we travel due to the space and breakfast accommodations. I havent disliked my stay at any hotel, as much as I did this one, in a while. I was so disappointed with my recent stay here its unbelievable. My brother was getting married, so I was in town for a joyous occasion however the hotel accommodations were poor. First incident, there was hair found in my wash cloths and towels. I told the guest services rep and she stated she would notify the housekeeping manager to come speak with me. That never happened. I went the next day to follow-up on the incident and the housekeeping manager came. She seemed very disinterested in my concerns, which was appalling because usually someone would understand your frustration to finding hair in a clean laundry item. Second, the bathroom shower was dirty and the sink was clogged. I informed the guest services rep of this as well. They had someone come unclog the sink, and at the looks of what was coming up when maintenance plunged the sink, it is evident they dont check rooms after residents leave. It was gross. Third, I know the hotel allows pets, but theres no to have pet hair all over the carpets. On various floors, as you step out of the elevator, there is pet hair everywhere. The only reason why they dont 1 across the board is because of the young man who assisted me at check-in. He was great. I have yet to hear from the AGM or GM in regards to my disappointment. The guest services rep said she told them about my concerns, yet still nothing.
As I have stated, I have stayed at a number of hotels in the Marriott Chain, ergo my Ambassador Elite status. When I first arrived I was upgraded with hesitation (the general manager had to get involved), after which I was upgraded. My stay length at this point has been one month, and I recently extended for two more weeks at which time I was told I had to vacate my upgraded room to move to another. So after a month time, you can accumulate a number of items. So to comply, I packed up all of my personal items and moved to a room adjacent to the elevator... Any other time I have stayed at a Marriott, and after being upgraded, I was never asked to move to another room. If not for the proximity of where Im working in Duluth, I would move to another hotel, very disappointed.
Absolutely the most amazing place to stay. From the quick, easy, friendly check in, to the wonderful, clean, spacious room, to the amazing staff, this place will not disappoint. They make you feel so welcomed and we felt like we were talking to friends when we got to talk with staff members. The beds are amazing, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Absolutely no complaints at all.
I stayed here for two weeks in December for work training. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and updated the rooms are, with an almost full kitchen! So much better than a regular hotel!! The lobby was lovely to spend time in and the front desk staff were always so friendly and engaging!
Comfortable room but my customer service experience gives this a 2 star review. I needed to take a business zoom call late at night (10pm) while my wife was sleeping and went to the lobby. Lights are dimmed, no one around but the TV was on so I turned it off. It was immediately turned back on by the front desk staff who was arguing with me that it is her job to keep the TV on and they need the TV at the hotel for the guests...me being the only guest in the lobby isnt that my choice? Continuing to argue with me saying its her job and either the radio or TV has to be on which both were but refused to turn off the TV and kept the volume very loud. Not great when your front desk staff continues to argue with valued platinum elite guests...
Was in the area for a business trip and selected this hotel based on the reviews online. Was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and took care of me during my stay. The breakfast and evening social was well stocked and the food selection was good. My room was clean and everything was in working order. What I enjoyed most was the pool and patio area. It was nice to sit outside and relax after a long day and enjoy the sounds of the pool waterfall and the decor and landscape made it feel like an escape to an island. I would stay here again hands-down.
I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel 2 months this year. This is the only quiet hotel that I have encountered this year, the rooms are soundproofed. I am very very sensitive to noise and this feature is very much appreciated. Clean hotel and housekeeping were very capable. I travel for work and this was an enjoyable stay. Decent breakfast, I miss the chocolate croissant and fruit smoothies in the morning. The manager was very personable and will stop by to greet guests. Worthy of the Marriott brand, good job staff! Will return.
I have stayed in this hotel for more than 2 months and really enjoyed it. The staff is very friendly and helped me in every possible way. I am vegetarian but in the breakfast, they have a lot of variety and every day they serve delicious breakfast. The staff will ask you personally about the food and they make sure you enjoy it. They provide the shuttle service which is a plus point and it is very useful especially for someone like me who is very new in the country and unaware of traffic rules and places around. The housekeeping is the best, every day they keep the room clean, change towels, put utensils in the dishwasher, the room looks fresh when you come back from work. The rooms have a kitchen attached, they provide popcorn, sugar, coffee and have sufficient vessels. The staff of this hotel makes it one of the best places to stay. I highly recommend this hotel for stay.
The Residence Inn was very comfortable and was perfectly located for my business needs. I really enjoyed everything about this hotel: the room, the staff, the breakfast and the social events. Its rare to say about a hotel but the showers here are amazing. A perfect way to start or end your day. The breakfast choices are great. And while this hotel does not have a restaurant, the mixers provided on certain days had some great food and company if you wanted. I loved the infused water that was available in the afternoon/evening when I returned from my day. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Hello my name is Arijeta and I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and I absolutely love the staff here. Helen is such a sweet, professional and helpful person that works up front. The rooms are very clean. The cleaning ladies do a great job. Everyone that works up front is professional and nice. Highly recommend this place.
Very nice hotel, the staff is unbelievably friendly and goes above and beyond for the guests. Very clean kitchen, they even have a clean laundry room (the housekeeping laundry not viewable to guests).......most hotels dont keep up the back areas very well but this one does. The management is very professional, well mannered. Id HIGHLY recommend staying here.
1st time staying at a residence inn. While I do not expect superior excellence; at this type of hotel, I do expect my monies worth. On our floor the rug smelled like wet dog. Our room was slightly dirty: counter still had grease and crumbs; dishes in cabinet were dirty; We ended up going to sprouts to buy orange cleaner and essential oils to make it cleaner & smell better. And really thats all it took a little effort to make a better impression. And while this may not be others experience here, sadly it was ours. The front desk girls were fantastic, always helpful. Internet is NOT for business professionals, so work may suffer if you need high speed internet. More of a family hotel than a business one. While there I did see and hear pets in the rooms. So I say Dogs Rule this hotel :)
I stayed at this place for two months and without surprise everything was good. The room has a little but functional kitchen and everything was clean. After a week there was a little incident with my room, so without hesitation I got a different room. All in all the service was very good as it should be. Special thanks to Joanne for the Mix, the food was always delicious!
Not worth price!!I stayed here for one night before leaving town on business and it was not at all what I expected. Female business traveler and Ive stayed at a lot of Residence Inns before in many different cities because of the comfort and being able to have space to work and a dedicated kitchen space and full refrigerator etc that you get with extended stays, but this hotel is subpar, staff is nice, but hotel is not clean. Room had a smell, the carpets in hallways were gross, everywhere in elevator had streaks. They lack attention to details in the rooms, my bed was pushed forward and beneath the headboard there was all kinds of candy, crumbs, and hair. The floor in my kitchen was sticky. The major surfaces, like refrigerator and light switches, and restroom cabinet all needed a good cleaning. At 3am a young lady was screaming at the room next to mine. The hotel next door is much nicer and cheaper too. It is managed by same people, but Courtyard is cleaner and much more the Marriott feel. Did not try breakfast because left so early. Bed was noisy. Stay next door 100% of the time.
Hotel is beautiful, clean and updated. Lobby is a nice expanded area where you feel comfortable just hanging out. Room is super nice and modern. Elevators are fast even when sold out. Housekeeping kept room clean but they do not have enough linens to even leave 1 single wash cloth in the room for 3 people!!!!! Even upon calling to request them (2 days in a row) we were told we are out. Breakfast was a complete disaster. Staff was rude, food was empty, they have 1 waffle machine to accommodate this large hotel and juice machine was broken. I am super nice when I speak to people and nothing I said warranted the rudeness of staff. Beds are super comfortable and fitness room is nice with updated equipment. Pool area looked great.
Our stay was over not a bad one but the third shift - overnight front desk staff/person was always hard to get them to be at desk in order to try to renew our room. They would take a long time to come to desk not sure if they were working or in the back room asleep. Over all a clean hotel only complaint was housekeeping were very loud one morning apparently upset with someone on staff regarding room cleanliness etc.Rates are also way too high on most days and they were not fully booked .Overall staff seems pleasant but distracted at times.
Staff were very nice and helpful and friendly. Room was way beyond our expectations, it came with everything even dishes!! The bed was very comfortable and tv was not a blur like most. The only complaint was the internet was too weak and I could not connect my ipad to it but other than that it was a nice location close to everything and clean and friendly place to stay.
I have stayed here the past two times Ive visited the Atlanta area. Great location, quiet, rooms are very spacious. The only complaint I have is that housekeeping ignored the Do Not Disturb sign and didnt announce themselves when they attempted to come in one morning on my second trip. Dont know what happened there. Thankful I had the door security guard in place.
The Lady that checked us in went out of her way to make us feel special. She is an asset to your organization. Her customer service was better than any we have had in the last four years of any hotel chains. I normally book over 100 rooms per year and she has been the best by far. I reserved 11 rooms for our high school wrestling team and they all enjoyed this location. This place was clean, fresh and comfortable.
I stayed at this hotel for a business trip and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is perfect. The rooms, the layout, the amenities, the location. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The fitness center was well maintained and managed. You can tell that the staff here takes pride in the hotel. The breakfast buffet had the standard fare for hotel stays, but you can tell it was real food and was fresh. I will continue to use this hotel whenever I travel in this area for work. Hands down.
This hotel was by far the best Residence Inn that Ive stayed. The stuff members were always one step ahead of me and ready to help when I needed it. The location was great. It was close to the main highway and many restaurants. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
I stayed here during a Vow Renewal ceremony and the experience was wonderful!Very clean, spacious, modern layout with stainless steel appliances (home away from home). More importantly the staff was professional and pleasant, this hotel also offered free hot breakfast that pretty decent. Id definitely stay here again as well as recommend it to both family, friends and YOU.
Enjoyable stay overall. Recommend calling this property direct prior to checking in to make sure your original booked room is actually available. I was traveling with my family of 6 and booked a large one-room suite (King, Queen, and Sofa Bed). I was notified upon checking in that none of my requested room types were available and the hotel had split my reservation into two separate King/Sofa rooms. Only one of which was clean and ready to go. We huddled up in that room until the other became available almost an hour later. Also, points off for not recognizing elite status and offering welcome bonus points or food/Bev credit.
We stayed here August 12-14. The hotel lobby & rooms were very clean & well maintained. We really enjoyed the mini kitchen in our room. The bed was very comfortable & the sitting area was a nice place to relax. The hotel also offers a shuttle service within a certain mile radius of needed.
We have stayed at this hotel twice now and the consistency of the staff and amenities is exceptional. Breakfast is a plus and a very great start to the day. Customer service is alive and well here throughout.Location is perfect and we chose it for an event at the Gwinnett Center which is right around the corner. Plenty of food and shopping nearby within a few miles. Rooms are clean and have that extra space and comfort that you are looking for on an extended stay.
Hotel was well maintained, and staff was nice. Received my keys and went to my room the door wouldnt not open. I went to the phone by the elevator to ask for new keys and I was asked to return to the lobby. Usually someone will meet me on the floor to bring new cards. Got the new keys and the door still would not open. I returned to the elevator area and called the desk, this time someone came to the floor and checked the door. The lock was dead. I was then given a new room. The staff was nice, but should have come to the room when first asked. The area was nice, well located near dinning.
An awesome and pleasurable stay with all the comforts of home and more. Excellent staff and welcoming feeling. Great location to shopping and restaurants. The complementary breakfast was perfect and the variety leaves you satisfied. Modern décor and very little things are thought of in all aspects of the hotel. You will not be disappointed. Thanks to all the staff involved. We will be back.
Our stay was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and truly seemed interested in addressing all of our questions. The breakfast was very nice; the area was clean, and the attendant was constantly working to keep all items stocked. The rooms were clean and very pleasant. If we are in the area again, we will definitely choose this Residence Inn.
I was able to reserve a 2-room suite for my daughters 13th birthday sleepover with 3 of her friends. It was the perfect setup as they were in one room and on the pullout sofa while my husband and I were in the master king suite with our own separate bathroom. I will only do sleepovers this way because the suite is perfect. You have your own full kitchen with dining table. Its like your own mini-apartment away from home. We loved our stay and we will stay again in the near future - Residence Inns by Marriott are the best!!!
I stay at this wonderful hotel on a weekly basis and all staff treat me like family. Guests will not be disappointed when staying at this facility. The staff is very nice at the desk and I dont think it has anything to do with the front desk staff. Everything was clean including the kitchen area, sheets, and the bathroom.
I was charged a $100 pet fee for spending just 5 hours in this hotel with my 8lb house-trained dog. They do not pro-rate. It may be ok if I had stayed there for a week but we spent just 5 hours there while en-route to visit my sick Mom. They would not even entertain any discussion other than to state that it was policy.
Attended my Nieces Graduation and stayed at the Residence Inn Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf and can truly say, it was my home away from home. It was all I expected and more. The hotel was very clean and accommodating and the staff very friendly and attentive. I had a wonderful stay there and would recommend in a minute to Family and Friends. Although nestled away in a quite area, it was still very close to some great shopping areas. It was also in walking distance of the arena where the graduation was held, but I drove over. I hope the management and staff will continue too maintain and care for their hotel and guess for years to come. They have a great product there that would sell itself with their help. My next trip to Atlanta, I would definitely be staying there again. Thank You to the staff for a great getaway well enjoyed!
People, stay at Residence Inn. Its like being in a studio apartment - a luxurious studio apartment. The staff are bright, professional and caring. The in-room amenities are exceptional. I will definitely stay at Residence Inns in the future, and this experience has been one of the most satisfying of all my travels (and Ive been traveling a lot throughout the last 40 years). If you want a slice of home on your trip, whether business or pleasure (or like me and my Dad, as hurricane evacuees) stay at a Residence Inn! You will NOT regret it!!
The hotel was excellent! I was attending a religious convention and needed peace and quiet and I received that and more. The hotel was very modern and sleek inside. The hotel accommodated me by moving me to the top floor at the end of the hall so I was able to have peace and quiet. Initially I was hesitant about staying at a hotel that allowed pets but my room was very clean and I didnt hear any barks from any animal. I hope to get the same room next year. Thank you Residence Inn!!!
This was a nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. I picked the hotel because it had an electric car charger.when I arrived the Tesla charger was not working. They let me know there was another charger at the courtyard. I was able to charge my car the whole time I was there. I used the pool during my stay and the pool was a little small but nice. One issue with the pool was the depth was completely miss labeled. The part marked as 4 feet could not have been much over 2.5 feet and the area marked 5 feet did not even come up to my waistband and I am 5 feet 9 inches tall. I would hate to see someone hurt themselves jumping g in thinking it was five feet.
I dont travel often but, when I do, I like to feel at home as much as possible. Residence Inn Atlanta/Duluth provides spacious, upscale, comfortable and clean rooms. Plenty of room to tuck your things away or just spread out. Their amenities such as complimentary full breakfasts, evening light fare (appetizer style), internet and smart TV made me feel right at home.
Stayed here for 2 months while helping out a different branch with the company I work with. Great place to stay. Hotel life isnt ideal for 2 months but the staff made it great. Always gave recommendations on things to do and see while I was here. I think a quarter machine would be great in the laundry room. Quite a few times the desk was out and had to wait. A Few times housekeeping lacked but OVERALL the stay was good.
My stay here was great. I wish I couldve stayed longer. The staff are all very nice and the rooms are clean. The ambiance is calm and quiet. I had virtually no issues while I stayed here. The rooms actually look like the photos online lol. I stayed on the 3rd floor in a studio suite. I had a nice view of the pool. I definitely recommend this hotel. Great value for the price.
The rooms were clean and the morning staff was friendly, we absolutely loved Tyler. Our overall 3 day stay was pleasant and we will book again in the future. To be a pet friendly hotel the rooms nor did the hotel smell like animals were there or had been there which is a plus for me.
Travelled with friends from South Carolina for a concert at the Infinite Energy Arena. This hotel is a great location for anyone attending an event at the arena and the hotel has a shuttle to get to the event. In warm weather, the arena is a close 10-15 minute walk. In cold weather, be sure to arrange return transportation if the event runs late. The shuttle service ends promptly. The hotel property is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and courteous. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant, Marlows at the foot of the hill has excellent food. I recommend this property and will definitely return to this hotel when attending an event in the area.
This new hotel makes excellent use of the latest hotel design and materials to provide a clean, comfortable stay. Primarily, however, the staff is friendly and alert. We felt secure, knowing that the front desk staff was paying attention (and courteous) to us and others as we entered and left the lobby. We also enjoyed Marlows Tavern just a short walk across the parking lot.
Was highly disappointed with the service. Staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, stayed 4 nights never received housekeeping. 1st night had requested no service due to getting in late. 2nd night went to front desk at 4pm to find out when housekeeping would be by and was told they havent made it to our floor yet by 515 still nothing went back to front desk to request at minimum towels. Made my own bed and replaced towels. 3rd night again after 4 had to request service and didnt get it. Asked to speak to General Manager and the front desk was refusing and got the housekeeping manager. Finally received a call by the General Manager my last night and was told they were short staffed. For a Marriott property got less than 2 star service. You can do better!
To start the first room that we were placed in the air did not work, and some of the dishes were not even clean yet. Then they moved us to the second room smelled really bad, and was still dirty. Then on the second day the landscaping company came to mowing edge when they were edging around all the curves they apparently do not have a guard on their weed eater or edger causing all the debris to be thrown on your car and cause damage.
I booked here for the convenience of getting me and my family to Arena. Literally 3 minutes up the road which was excellent for not having to deal with traffic in Atlanta. Hotel was nice and very inviting. My room was beyond amazing I felt right at home. When you walk into the suite you have a kitchen area and large sofa sectional with a desk and chair for personal use. There is a large bed tucked away in an alcove which leads to a even larger bathroom. Plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy your trip whether for business or pleasure. My only problem was that I could not connect to the internet with the password they gave me and I tried several times before calling downstairs. I finally gave up and used my HOTSPOT from my work phone.
I am a Platium member of Marriotts rewards and hve spent ***y nights in Residence Inns acrooss the country and always have a great experience. Bathroom very large and spacious with a nice dresser/mirror set up outside the bathroom. Pool w/ overhead rain in shallow section was refreshing and jacuzzi hot. The bed was very comfortable and sported quality linens.
Excellent facility... very clean from the lobby, breakfast area, pool, exercise room, guest suites, and hallways/grounds. Everything was updated and was handled with ease. Enjoyed the hallways and elevators having air. It was comfortable in and out of your suite. The entire staff were helpful and treated each guest as if they were the only one registered.
Staff was helpful and friendly. I left my drivers license on the lobby counter and the staff returned it to me the next morning after confirming my identity. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the decor was modern and pleasant. My only complaint was the noisy air conditioner. The compressor was in the room. Other than that, it is a good place to stay.
Our stay at this hotel was a wonderful experience. Our church youth group attended the Forward Youth Conference at the Gwinnett Center with 17 teenagers and it could not have been better!! The staff was very accommodating and understanding of our group. The rooms were very well decorated and furnished and the beds were the most comfortable ever. We will definitely choose this hotel next year and would recommend it to anyone needing a location close to the Gwinnett Center.
The room overall was great! What did it for me was the poor customer service. The Front Desk Representative who checked me in, attuned was horrible. You could tell she did not want to be there. Once I checked out, my billing was wrong. I called to get the issue rectified and it just so happen the same representative was the one who took my call. Again she was not helpful, her attitude was horrible, and she placed me on hold and she nor the manager never came back to assist.
The bed was extremely comfortable, hotel was clean & appeared to be very new. Staff was very friendly & kind. Would not recommend the free breakfast, the quality doesnt match the hotel. I suggest making other breakfast arrangements. We travel often, and were overall very pleased with this hotel stay!
My stay was fair due to staff and the maintenance of the rooms/suites and property. I was placed in a room for persons with physical disabilities, the toilet had plumbing issues, some items in the room were in disrepair, housekeeping came to my suite more than one hour before check-out, breakfast ended too soon---9:30am, the amenities were compact, would have preferred an indoor pool, landscaping needed maintenance, trash receptacle near exit was overflowing and was never removed during my stay, excessive pet fee, desk clerk was unable to explain excessive charges at check-out, was over charged after departure, when I called to resolve, left a voicemail, but no one ever returned my call. My stay ended in disappointment and being over charged after departure. Please make some staff adjustments. I do not recommend this hotel.
This facility is fresh, clean and comfortable, the exercise facility is adequately equipped and stimulating. This facility comes in under the mark if you are a frequent traveler accustomed to Residence Inns typical experience of friendly receptions, member perks and evening receptions. Despite the premium price for this location (in comparison to another location nearby), the experience is not premium. Upon arrival the reception is not warm (often no clerks in sight), there is no welcome packet, the evening gatherings offerings are sparse and frequently do not start at a consistent time (as late as 8:30 or as early as 6:30), making it difficult to plan your evening.
I recently stayed at the sugarloaf residence inn location and had a great stay and excellent service. The staff are wonderful and make your stay feel like home. The GM Jeff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is stress free. He is always interested in your day and helping out in any way he can. On my most recent stay, Jeff helped me resolve a rental car problem while I was at work which made the stressful situation much easier to handle. Thanks to Jeff and the rest of the staff for doing a great job!
After checking into the hotel, I started to unpack when I noticed the room wasnt very clean. Yes to an ignorant eye it would appear to be clean but the entire room was dusty, and the kitchen drawer knobs were sticky. My next few days were fine I had no issues. However when my Mom came to visit with our dogs(who I will add are allergy free dogs and do not shed) we checked the website and it didnt say there was a charge so we didnt feel we needed to do anything. The day my mother left, housekeeping knocked and asked if I wanted my room clean, I explained that I just needed 30 min because my mother was leaving. She said it would be a while I said that was fine, that I would be leaving soon. However I had a feeling she wasnt coming back. So at 345 I called to the front desk to see if they were sending up housekeeping and the lady who answered informed me that housekeeping was still there and she was sure they would be up. After hanging up she called right back and interrogated me as to when housekeeping knocked I guessed around 12:30, she then proceeded to tell me that housekeeping had already left for the day and asked if there was anything I needed, I was very unhappy and told her yes I need toilet paper. However, I never received it. Another day later that week I noticed I was running out of toilet paper again and thought surely housekeeping would refill, however that was not the case. I went to the deck and asked for it, when I explained how housekeeping didnt refill my toilet paper, the woman at the desk made up excuses for housekeeping never accepting their fault. This toilet paper issue happened another time. Finally as I checked out of the Residence on the 22nd I was informed that I was charged a $100 dollar fee for my dogs stay. This is ridiculous, for the simple fact that no one ever told me I was being charged, the website differs from your policy; on top of the fact that the day my dogs left was the day my room was never cleaned. Overall this place would be a whole lot better if the housekeeping staff cleaned properly, my family owns a cleaning company and I am aware that the things I was requesting were not the moon and the stars. And if the management would own there mistakes.
There were problems, but the staff was wonderful. If you have a conference to attend this hotel is well situated and the rooms are very livable. Hotel breakfast is very much what you get everywhere, but there is a Chick Fil A across the street if you need a change. There is also a Starbucks nearby and lots of places to get dinner. Biggest challenge is the parking lot. Not enough spaces when the hotel is full. I dont mind walking up the hill to get the hotel from another parking lot, but I do mind leaving my car in a less secure lot.
Friendly atmosphere, impeccable service and clean rooms. All the comforts of home with great foods/restaurants to choose from. Whether youre shopping or taking a break from work to just have some family leisure time, this hotel will serve you well. I highly recommend you stay with the Residence Inn in Duluth/Sugarloaf.
When you need to get away to chill, this is one of the best places to be. The environment, both inside and outside is very relaxing. Staff members are very courteous and helpful. The hotel is new, very clean and well maintained. It is strategically nestled on one of the high points in Duluth, away from the stress of Atlanta proper. I have used this property more than six times since it opened and will always go back.
My family traveled to Deluth with me for a NPC fitness competition and this was the perfect place to stay considering it was a minute away from the Performing Arts Center-Gwinnett Centre. The room was very clean. The breakfast items are delicious. The staff is very friendly and accommodating when weve needed something.
It has a nice feel, good breakfast options. The day shift staff was friendly not so much for the nightshift. The hygiene could be better as had someone elses hair all over the shower on check in. Some sort of body fluid stain on the sofa that looked like dry ejaculate. Bathroom floors need mopped as has fluid stains around toilet and old foot prints on the tile floor. No laundry bags or small trash bags for the week of my visit.
This hotel has very nice and modern looking rooms. The room service was great and the hotel offers hot breakfast in thier lobby. The tvs in the room have a nice amount of channels. The hotel also has an outdoor pool and a small gym. During my stay I did not have any troubles and hope to say at this hotel again soon.
The outward/inward appearance of this hotel (Marriott by Residence Inn) looks great. However house keeping cleaning crew need to be more attentive when cleaning and should do a Q/A to ensure they did not miss any area.Hotel Staffs should take ownership of user complaint and try to help. The pool size is a joke for this beautiful hotel. My kids where very dissappointed by it
The rooms are very nicely appointed, but if you need a bathtub you must book a 1 bdrm. The Studios ONLY have a walk-in shower which was inconvenient for us since I couldnt bathe my daughter there. We ended up at another hotel for the following 2 nights that had a tub because they were sold out of 1 bdrms. I was sad we had to leave because otherwise the rooms are very nice.
Stay here only if you have pets. yeah, of course there is expensive pet fee for checking in. If your puppy barking, dont feel sorry to the next room because you will hear the same anyway.Comparing to the other place charges $25 per night per pet.I stayed without pet, we stayed with our 5 weeks infant baby, but it wasnt sanitized enough for this newborn baby. I found few pet food on the carpet.Front desk was awesome kind and nice.I checked out very early for personal reason which was 11pm instead of next day in the morning. But I never received receipts by email as the lady told me when I was checking out.
It feels like I’m coming home every time I am in town and stay at the Residence Inn. The staff is always friendly and makes sure that I have everything I need. The location is conveniently located off 85 with a grocery store and many restaurants nearby. The nightly mixers are a great benefit if you want to keep it low key and have a light meal with a beer or glass of wine and socialize with other guests. I always make sure this is the hotel I book when I stay in the Duluth/Lawrenceville area.
This hotel was exceptional. I stayed for 7 nights with my wife. The hotel staffs were eager to help you and the janitorial service was amazing. I checked in early at 2 PM and the receptionist, Tina, found me a room less than 3 minutes of arrival. I highly recommend this hotel.
The property is great, the staff is awesome except for the General Manager. In the hospitality business a difficult situation can be handled very diplomatically and effectively. Overall great hotel, great staff-workers.The property is very well located in Duluth, convenient, nice view, safe environment.
The hotel inside is modern and trendy. The sink is at the correct level for a modern wheelchair and you can actually use the bathroom sink to see you upper torso rather than the top of your head. The whole place is spotless. I travel here a few times a year and will always stay here.
The hotel suites were nice but the room details said it was a shower only (the glass shower) but it was a bathtub. The toilet clogged up after 2 uses and we contacted guest services. They stated that maintenance wouldn’t be here until the next day and told us she could move us to another room. The only available room was a studio and we booked a 1 bedroom suite. We asked if she could just send someone up here with a plunger and they did. We plunged it ourselves to avoid moving to a studio. Two hours after we checked out I noticed they charged me twice $180 and $250. My total was $155 with taxes and fees. Neither of these amounts were correct. I called the hotel and they said charged me $250 for a smoking fee. I told the lady I didn’t smoke in the room and I don’t even smoke cigarettes. I smoke cigars and black and milds. She charged me for having tobacco products in the trash can and the housekeeper showed her the “evidence” (tobacco). She even said she didn’t charge me because of the smell and even said there was no smell. There couldn’t have been because I don’t smoke cigarettes. So basically I got charged $250 for smoking out side and discarding tobacco products in the trash can of my hotel. Hotels charge you $250 to take the smell of smoke out not because you discarded a tobacco product, which is completely CRAZY. If I didn’t smoke in the room and the lady even said there was no smell just the “evidence” then how can you charge me??? Warning: don’t bring a packet of cigarettes or cigar or whatever to your room and/or discard it there YOU WILL BE CHARGED. Apparently they’re banned altogether but they have smoking areas outside. Ridiculous, I’m never booking this hotel again. I would’ve rated 4 stars if they hadn’t of charged me for tossing tobacco products in the trash can. I spoke with the manager this morning and he had the nerve to ask why I discarded my tobacco products in my room if I smoked outside? Because I can. Why does it matter? They’re going to be in my possession either way no matter where I throw it out. My boyfriend and I stay at different hotels monthly and have never had an issue with throwing my tobacco in the trash and being charged a smoking fee. They have refunded me for the smoking fee but the housekeeper told the manager that there were ashes found in the room which is a complete and utter lie. I smoked outside in my car. It seems like they like to lie to gain money from fees. Still won’t be booking this hotel again, but I am grateful for the return of that ridiculous fee.
Very nice accommodations. The Tesla chargers are what brought me here versus other hotels. Management if you read this, please mark those spaces for electric vehicles only though. They were occupied by gas cars which made them impossible to access. Not much good to us if we cannot use them.
The hotel was very comfortable. It was clean and very well maintained. The rooms were extremely well equipped and pleasantly decorated. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The manager was visible and hands on. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business and vacation.
Everything is pretty decent except I run into a smelly bathroom. Smell like a sewage in the night. And bed is right next to the bathroom. I turned on the toilet exhaust fan for 24 hours and it won’t help at all. Window is completely sealed. The tiny amount of fresh air for air conditioning unit won’t help to relieve the terrible smell. Maybe backdraft damper is stacked to open so back smell is pushed back into my restroom by toilet exhaust fans from restrooms on other floors. Or something wrong with the p trap or water seal for the floor drain. No technician works in the night. Hotel is booked fully. So no room to switch for me.
In this day an age of mediocre customer service this is not the case when checking in with Josh! He is friendly, professional, and just a caring person! I was hosting my family reunion and most of my family members stayed at this hotel. Josh and his counterparts were the epitome of great customer service!!!!
The room at Residence Inn Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf was very inviting and comfortable. There are restaurants within walking distance and a 5 minute drive away. The hotel offers an evening social, laundry center, breakfast, exercise room. It has a beautiful pool area with large screen TV and fireplace. The hotel is a wonderful place to stay. I was there for 16 nights for pleasure and always looked forward to returning to my room for the evening.
An excellent place to stay! This Residence Inn Marriott and the Courtyard Marriott Hotel next-door are new hotels and located in a great new area. There are great restaurants and shopping places every direction you go. This particular Residence Inn is very nice and super comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Highly recommend this place! The staff were without exception friendly, polite, & efficient. The rooms are comfortable, roomy, & provide some nice extras - kitchen area, nice seating area. Anything we needed was quickly provided. Accommodated our large group very efficiently.
Me, my wife, and daughter rented a room for 3 nights. We arrived on Sunday. When we pulled out the sofabed, there was feces in there on the mattress along with the stains from it. We were pissed. They had no more rooms and I already reserved the room in advance and couldnt cancel or else we would be penalized for 1 night. As a result, I spent my 1st night sleeping in the car in the freezing cold so that my wife and 13 year old daughter could have the bed. The 2nd night I spent sleeping with my head down on the desk like I was in elementary school all over again. My back and neck are both killing me because of sleeping uncomfortably for 2 nights straight and sacrificing. I will NOT be staying at this hotel ever again and will let friends and family know about my experience. I will also be contacting their corporate office as well because this is ridiculous.
Ive stayed at this hotel frequently over the last few years and it continues to be maintained as a top notch property. Its extremely convenient to Interstate 85 and shopping at either Gwinnett Place or the Mall of Georgia in Buford. The suites are very comfortable, as are the beds, and the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.
After a long drive to this area on business, I highly recommend Residence Inn. I always stay at this establishment while on business simply because of the ease at check-in, the amenities, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff. This hotel is ideal for convention or conference stay because of the ease of travel to and from Duluth, Lawrenceville, and Buford, Georgia.
Marriott is my place to stay and the name typically signifies quality and service.Unfortunately, my recent stay did not. Perhaps it was because I was using my points as opposed to being a paying customer? From the moment I arrived at check-in time (told that there were no rooms ready and to come back in 45 minutes after bringing in all the baggage to only turn around and reload my car...no sorry or apologies) to getting in a room where there was hair and stains on the sheets, it was a disaster! The staff was not the pleasant Marriott staff I have come to expect and almost seemed put out when there was an issue to correct. Not wanting to disappoint my children as this was supposed to be our mini staycation, I stuck it out. They didnt enjoy their stay either.I will continue to be a Marriott fan, but this location is off my list!
Stay at the hotel was good. However the staff member provided us with misleading information. We were advised the taxi to the airport would cost $50 usd in total however upon reaching the airport the taxi driver charged us $60 usd each!! Had to pay $70 usd above our budget.
I was in town for a week to serve at the Catalyst conference and stayed at the Resident Inn across the street from the convention arena. WOW! This place was fantastic. Everything I needed was in the room, and the staff treated me like family more than just a paying guest at the hotel.Great choice for anyone working ot traveling to North Atlanta.
Last week was my second time staying at Residence Inn Duluth. Just like the first stay it proved to be the best choice! The room was exceptionally comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to freeway and there are lots of restaurants in the area. I will definitely stay there again when I am in the Atlanta area.
Location is right next to the venue for a local crafting exposition--treated exceptionally well, including automatic change to a room for handicap for visiting in-laws. Very Hospitable! Only complaint is that the tile floors get very slick when damp--not good in a high humidity area.
I would consider this hotel on my top list every time I travel to Atlanta. It provides a good hot variety breakfast and additional light snack in the evening (beer, wine, cheese, chips, sliders, etc...). Room is very comfortable with big bathroom and a built-in kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove and dish washer. Exercise room, swimming pool and washer/dryer are also available. Highly recommended.
This new facility is well positioned in the north east Atlanta area. The rooms are fully equipped, the staff is courteous and helpful, and you will find no untoward surprises at this hotel. This hotel makes an excellent spot for visiting nearby Lake Lanier as well. An outstanding property.
The hotel is what you expect from a residence inn. The service, however is below standard. The female concierge is incompetent and does not know where towels are to give guests. She gave the excuse “ housekeeping is not here yet, I don’t know”. You should have towels on hand. Also no one at the front desk answers the phone. When I went down after calling for 30 mins, she was there flirting with another guest while the phone was ringing. Poor service. I expected more.
I have stayed at the Residence Inn Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf several times and it has always exceeded my expectations. The rooms are condos and are so clean they shine. The dust is so thick it is all all around the registers on the walls. The staff are really good people. The next morning we went to breakfast which again exceeded our expectations as to a full breakfast.
Have the room reserved ready and make sure House Keeping check the room for pullout coach sheets. Also have house keeping double check if the privacy sign is up. My was not and my room was not cleaned one night. I was given dish liquid and a trash bag to take care of the room myself!
Same thing I already explained on the previous page. I do not like to be made to feel stupid when traveling and I don’t know a lot about where I am or hotel rules. Especially when the only reason I did the online check in is because the email made it seem like I had to.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Residence Inn Atlanta NE/Duluth Sugarloaf. The Suite was extremely clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was delicious and the overall hotel and surrounding area was exceptionally clean and well cared for. Beautiful, clean, pleasant facility.

2022-02-12We stayed at this property 3x while selling and moving and waiting for a new home to be built in 2021 and early 2022. We stayed a total of almost 8 weeks. We were always treated like family by everyone working there. Every request was handled quickly. The room and bed were terrific. They even had tech support help us connect our Apple TV in our room. Housekeeping and front desk and maintenance and the breakfast team were all amazing.

2022-06-25Very nice room for extended stay. The layout was comfortable that gives separation of living space. The location of my room had a great working view. The beautiful landscaping softened the experience overlooking the magnolia and crape myrtle. The pool area was nice, but some of the cushions need replaced as were showing stains. The pool itself was very relaxing and inviting. The staff was always warm and polite. Eager to make the stay enjoyable. For me the bed pillows were the best comfort for my sleep. Nothing wrong with the mattress. I prefer a mattress with a little more firmness and these were very plush and soft. Sadly for me, with a little extra around my midsection didnt give me the support I realized I really need for a good night sleep. The breakfast was ok. Nothing special and not really a satisfying start to the day.Overall, if and when Im back to this area of NE Atlanta, I wont hesitate staying here. Very clean and quiet.

2022-02-01Positive: love the location and room features. Breakfast was one of the nicest one during the covid era. Negative: cleanness, especially bathroom wasnt clean enough to meet my expectation. Able to observe stains on shower booth, sink and toilet seat.

Guys, sometimes, its good to just get out the house. I left my home to change my every day scenery. I pampered myself with a dinner, and relaxation. Enjoy yourself first. 2022-02-03An very nice residence inn, has a pretty good location but a very bad approach. There is a blind corner that is pretty high traffic making it dangerous to enter from one direction. Rooms are very nice but I was pretty disappointed in the lack of an evening reception. All staff I have encountered have been very helpful and friendly.

2022-03-18I really like the place although I had a problem with one of the girls one day who caused me to get upset. She didnt speak english and didnt understand something I asked her not to do. The manager made it up to me though so know complaints. This place would be everything if there was bathtubs in the rooms but eh. The guy who works at the night shift, 11-7, is one of the nicest most helpful guys I ever met.

2022-06-20I enjoyed my stay at this inn. The bed felt like I was sleeping on clouds. This was the best sleep I had in years! Ill be ordering their pillow top from their website
