When i first got to my room there was water covering the kitchen floor and i had no water . I called the front desk and they said :oh, i forgot to tell you, there is a maintenance issue and there going to fix it tomorrow morning. (or something like that). The maintenance guy came at around 11 and woke me up (i work night shifts). he looked at the sink and said he would have to come back later then asked what time would be good for me. I said 2pm. he agreed then reminded me that if i didnt want to be woken up i should put the sign up on my door that says not to enter. I told him i would if i could but i didnt have one of those in my room. i left the room at 145 and went downtown till 225. I came back and there was even more water on the floor. I was already out of towles by this moment so i used the ones for dishes. I went to the front desk and asked what was going on and the maintenance guy showed up about an hour later while i was eating my food trying to relax before work. he was there for about 40 min. Shortly after he left i lost all water pressure to the newley replaced faucet. Also, in the 10 days i was their, my room was only serviced once. I had the same towel for the entire time. I ran out of toilet paper 2 days before i left. The food they serve for breakfast gave everyone in our group the s#@%s. Overall, would not recommend. I deserve triple points for staying their.
The beginning part of the stay was kind of rocky. I always ask for extra pillows and I know for many people this seems trivial but for me I need them for my legs when I sleep because of a back issue. I always request these when I do the mobile check-in. I got a message back from, I assume the manager, they denied my request for extra pillows stating they were on back order. Even if that is true, I think as a hotel manager I would’ve walked across the street to the Walmart and got some pillows. Regardless I don’t believe the hotel is at four capacity so I think they could’ve moved pillows around. I didn’t respond to the message thinking it would be better just to handle that when I drove down and then I called the hotel and got the same message from the front desk clerk. I have never had this happen before and I had even considered that I would have to go across the street myself to Walmart to buy myself some pillows. When I got there, the front desk Clerk who checked me in was so nice. She recognized me as a titanium member and she stated that she was able to get extra pillows for me. So she went above and beyond to satisfy this request and it was greatly appreciated. I appreciate the effort that she did but I’m frustrated that the first two denied my request
There was a loud group in the courtyard around the fire pit. At 12:00 am, I called the front desk because we had our kids and we had to get up early. The front desk clerk said he’d ask for them to quiet down. At 12:15, the noise continued so I called again and the front desk clerk said he’d ask them again to quiet down. At 12:30, the noise was louder than ever and I tried calling again multiple times, but no one would answer my call. Because we were in pajamas and obviously furious with the situation, we decided it was in our best interest not to go down to the front desk. We were on the third floor and had the worst night of sleep we’ve ever had at a hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay! Love the amenities in the kitchen. Shower had great hot water & pressure, and the little shelves in the vanity area were convenient. Love that the Marriott tvs have access to Netflix & HBO Go. It was easy to connect to wifi. Nice pool as well. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, but were not there any of the nights they had the Marriott Mixer. This location is in the midst of great shopping and restaurant selections!
I paid my reservation of $494.00 for July 9th-11th 2021. Before I arrived to pay, I called first and spoke with Alicia I told her that I’ll be coming from Opelika Alabama around 3:15pm to pay for my room and she told me that was fine and that my room was cleaned and ready to be checked in. I arrived to decorate the room to surprise my son for his birthday. I noticed that there was hair everywhere, the refrigerator wasn’t cleaned, the counter top was horrible and the sofa had food on it. I literally had to go home which is in opelika Alabama to get cleaning supplies to clothe room not to mention pick my kids up and help them pack their things and to pick up my son’s cake. We didn’t get back to Columbus around after 9pm. When we get back keep in my I’m cleaning so I get on the phone to the receptionist to tell her my issues. She asked me if I wanted housekeeping to come and clean the room or move me to another room I told her that I’m just about done cleaning and I didn’t want my money back but the lady should’ve never lied to me over the phone telling me that my room is cleaned and ready to be checked in and hearing her tell me that why you guys can’t let the manager see the rooms before they let customers even arrive to see that the rooms are cleaned or not. After that my daughter tells me that the bathroom is nasty, hair is all over the toilet & behind the bathroom door like housekeeping just swept the hair behind the door and the tub is sooo brown like old mop bucket water with black spots in the tub. So as I took pictures and videos of everything I get on the phone a little after 11pm I spoken with Jay and told him the issues but he told me that the manager would have to deal with it she would be in at 7:30am. I called again around 7:27am the manager wasn’t there I called again at 7:35am spoken with the manager name Melissa. I told her my issues and she told me well you should have reported these issues around check in time, we cannot give you any refund due to you didn’t allow us to fix it. I told her ma’am I live in opelika Alabama, when I arrive I didn’t stay, I decorated the room for my son’s birthday to surprise him, help my kids pack, pick my kids up, pick my son cake up and keep in mind you guys are an hour ahead of time. I told her there would be nothing to be fix if the lady would have never lied to me telling me that my room is cleaned & ready. Also, why can’t managers check these rooms before people check in to make sure for themselves that the rooms are cleaned, so can you just give me a refund for one night. Melissa told me we cannot give you a refund because you didn’t allow us to fix the problem. I said you know what I will never be coming back here ever. I am an Marriott member and my husband comes here every year for our anniversary but I guess you are under new management so we will never be returning. We stay for one night(Friday night) and checked out Saturday morning because my daughter ran to me saying momma it’s a roach behind the tv, we got what we could out the room because I don’t do roaches period. I told Melissa about that and she looked at me like I brought the roach with me and told me oh okay, I’ll let housekeeping know. She not one time tell show and remorse, concerns or didn’t apologize. I looked at her and laughed and told her I will never come back and will call corporate, I also have photos and videos.
They did as well as they could, with all the remodeling construction going on. That means it will be a fresh, new hotel for everyone in the near future. (But we did get a newly remodeled suite, very nice.). Only drawback was the massive amount of construction equipment in and around the property.
Maybe when the construction has ended. My room was not thoroughly cleaned when I arrived the first night. The pull out couch was covered in dog fur, Cheerios and a dog tooth. I went to the front desk to get a vacuum cleaner. They were accommodating but the damage was done. In addition, the bathroom had no wash cloths and towels. We checked in at 11:50 at night so it was extremely frustrating. They sent someone in the next morning to clean, but, it was too late for a first impression.
Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful. Very clean rooms and stocked with dishes and anything you need to stay for a while. Didnt have hand soap or shampoo but sure they would have found some if it were nessesary. This is a good place to come and stay for a week or more. The breakfast was excellent and they also have supper.
On my arrival on July 4, 2018, check-in at the hotel, I was able to partake in the Residence Inn Mix. Free beer, wine, sodas, chicken lettuce wraps, egg rolls, chips and guacamole. Wow! The staff at this hotel is exceptional. My family would get greeted by staff on arrival for the free breakfast the following days, asking if we needed any assistance. The scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, and so many other items to choose made our stay so very happy. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Setup was perfect with a living, dining area. The want list, which some other Residence Inns have are luggage stands in the closet, better lighting above the bathroom sink area, and a swing out magnifying glass for makeup purposes which this hotel did not have. The tile at the foot of the toilet had rust stains and overall the tile was not up to par. The bathtub had some pitted damage. The water shower head pressure was great, which is rare in most hotels, however, it had a short arm which made one have to get up right underneath it by placing feet strategically against the tub back wall. The inside of the cabinet under the kitchen sink was stained and warped from water damage.Overall, this hotel had some flaws, but not enough for me to not book a stay there in the future.
We checked in with Alicia who was the rudest hotel employee I have ever met. All we wanted to do was check in and she was just extremely rude. She also did not seem to know how to use the computer either. She said she was the manager, Marriott can and SHOULD do so much better. Everyone else we spoke with was lovely though.
This stay we didnt care for. The counters and table where dirty, bathroom was dirty with hair in the sink and kitchen floor was sticky. My wife woke up to red marks on her like somewhat something had bit her. The customer service was great and as always we love the fireplace. And the hotel is close to shopping and eatery.
Check in and room was fine. The room was neat and clean as was the lobby area. Maybe I havent stayed at a Marriott in awhile to know if my welcome as a Rewards member was normal or not. The mixer left something to be desired but we were tired so it sufficed - good we had snacks with us. The staff overall was nice.
My stay was perfect. I felt very comfortable in the spacious room as did my dog. Love that its pet-friendly. The staff was great and Charlie shows what hospitality is all about. This is a great location near all the restaurants and shopping. It was right where I needed to be and with all the extras to keep us comfortable.
The service from the staff that I received was great. All the staff members were so polite and greeted me every time I walked into the lobby. Its nice to have employees that work for a company that really enjoy their job. My room was great and bigger than expected. The room was really clean and the bed was so comfy!Thank you for making my trip so much fun, even if it was for work!
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Dog friendly hotel. While we are very careful when we take our dogs places, some people are not or accidents happen. There was no indication of any previous pets staying in our room whatsoever. Hotel was very clean and the separate bedroom suite with kitchen turned out to be a huge help to us.
Every staff member we encountered were very accommodating. I especially enjoyed Chris st the front desk, he had a TON of energy and feel like every hotel could use a “Chris” at the front desk! Special thanks to Charmaine and Veronica, who made sure that our group had rooms near each other and we were even able to check in a little early. Wonderful stay due to a wonderful staff!
The staff there - absolutely the best. Friendly, courteous, helpful - they definitely make you feel like youre wanted there - just outstanding. The rooms - well maintained, clean, up to date, comfortable beds, quiet. The location - whether its Walmart, a book store, clothing stores, or a restaurant from subway to an upscale dinner everything is within walking distance. What a great experience. You get the nice hotel, the clean rooms, the great location and best of all the nicest and friendliest staff around.
I travel frequently for both business and pleasure and my recent experience at the Residence Inn in Columbus, Georgia was everything Ive come to expect being a Gold member with Marriott rewards. From the clean and welcoming lobby, to the knowledgeable and friendly staff my experience at this property was a memorable one. The rooms were equipped with everything needed for both business and leisure. The staff did an excellent job accommodating my early and late check out needs, and best of all I never once received any disturbance from housekeeping during my late checkout! I also have to recognize the best complimentary breakfast that Ive had in a long time equipped with something you rarely see on a buffet, Turkey Sausage! I will stay at this property whenever Im in Columbus on buisness or pleasure great property and location. Kudos!
The staff was great upon checking and ensured our needs were met. The room was clean upon checkin and provided all amenities we requested. The bed was horrible. The mattress replacement is long overdo. The desk agents need to let patrons know when events such as motorcycle racing is going to be happening in the parking lot next to the hotel, so another room can be requested, if needed. The pool is not unkept and the key cards do not work for access to the pool area or for entrance into the hotel from the pool/fire pit area.
Overall my experience was great. My room was not touched by housekeeping the second day of my 3 day stay. Towels replaced and bed made but trash was not removed and crumbs and junk on counters in kitchenette remained. Tip was taken however. Temperature control was inconsistent. Luckily, my room was. Comfortable anyway. My favorite soft leather sandles vanished only an hour after checkout so I wasnt too happy about that. The shower was awesome. I loved the little kitchenette and the layout of the room.
We had a long weekend to spend with our son on a pass from Ft. Benning as he graduated basic training. We asked for late checkout on Sunday to accommodate our stay and pet, and the manager on duty allowed us to check out rather late. This made our last day with our son so very special and stress free; we were able to spend 4 MORE HOURS with him because of this! We cant thank you enough and the staff was excellent. A big thank you to the manager that day. We are scheduled to return to this hotel in August and are looking forward to seeing the staff and OUR SON again. GO ARMY! ... GO MARRIOT!!!
My husband and I stayed there 4 nights. This was by far the best hotel for the price! The staff are very friendly. They are also pet friendly, they even gave us free travel water dishes and treats for our dogs. Our hotel, unlike numerous other hotels Ive stayed at was perfectly clean! The complimentary breakfast bar was different everyday and there were lots of different choices. I highly recommend them!
We rented a two bedroom suite for two couples and enjoyed it very much. The room was very comfortable and had a full kitchen. There was plenty of parking, and registration was easy. The free breakfast was very good. My only compliant was that both bedrooms and living area were on the small side. Not too small to be comfortable, but would have been nice to have a little more room. The hotel is near a lot of restaurants, and a Barnes and Noble.
My Family and I enjoyed our stay at Residence Inn. The staff was wonderful, professional and very helpful. We had a great time playing basketball and lounging by the pool. It is also conveniently located by the shopping area and restaurants. The rooms are clean and they have a good complementary breakfast.
This Residence Inn is not the most elaborate but it is newly renovated, very clean, has spacious rooms, and has decent internet for a hotel. It has great resteraunts within very short walking distance (barely have to leave the parking lot). The staff including management and front desk are extremely friendly. The breakfast is just normal (nothing special) but they provide dinner and drinks several times a week and this is the first time I have experienced that. It is very clean and in a safe area with great shopping (Walmart, Winn Dixie, Barnes and Noble, etc.) all extremely close. They have a free pass to a great fitness club that is less than five minutes away and it is right off of the Interstate. I cannot say enough about how great the staff is.
Residence Inn offers a consistent experience each and every visit. I love the activities they have planned for their guests - even though I seldom had time to participate. If I had more leisure time during my travels I would LOVE to interact with fellow guests as we each unwind from our days.Offering both a small in-house gym and a complimentary guest membership to a full size gym while staying at the property is a huge bonus in my book.I would recommend this hotel, without a doubt.
Our family reunion at the Residence Inn Columbus brought a bunch of people and a whole lot of moving parts with it, and I am pleased to report that the staff at the hotel was quite up to the challenge. They were friendly and professional and went out of their way to accommodate our (many) requests. The hotel facilities are adequate and very clean, beds are comfortable, kitchens small but well-stocked (ours lacked an oven as it was ADA accessible and didnt have room. Ask for one of the other 2-BR suites). Small but very clean pool and outdoor area with both charcoal and propane BBQ grills with seating was a very nice perk. Breakfast was nice, with scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage most days along with cereal, make your own waffles, pastries, yogurt. Prepared fruit limited to honeydew melon and canned pineapple (does anyone even eat honeydew?), but apples and oranges available in a basket. Rooms had minor issues and the outside card readers almost always didnt work, so you had to enter through the front door most of the time. Overall our stay was lovely because of the super staff there.
Stayed here several times in the past and until my last visit, this was my hotel of choice whenever I visit this area on business. I stay Monday through Friday. Pros the staff was always friendly, loved the away from home feel and amenities, love the convenience to highway, shopping and variety of restaurants. Cons, last visit the week of 10/31/16 I had dirty dishes in the cabinets and I woke up to extra visitors in my room in the form of bed bugs, ugh. While the assistant manager was attempted to keep me happy by offering me points on my rewards account before the investigation, and free use of their washing machines and dryers, and a new room, nothing else was done. No discount on the room or even a free night. No call from management above her to inquire about the situation. It seems there was no type of urgency in the situation. They did call an exterminator, who Im told just did comes in whenever a customer complaints about bugs, but when asked about the follow up report, I was told that they couldnt read the report nor had they spoken to Crystal who initially came to my room not once, but twice and confirmed bed bugs which she took the evidence away taped to a piece of paper and would inform management. I did get a voicemail message from Cindy while I was in the process of removing my items from the room. I went down to the front desk and informed them I received a call, but nothing else from her. Everyone I spoke to seemed to not have the authority to do anything else, but what was instructed. Hate I didnt get more of a resolution and will have to find other accommodations in this area in the future. Glad I never take my clothes out of my luggage or put my luggage on the bed for long periods of time or I would have extra travelers too.
The front desk team allowed me to generously use their backroom computer and printer when the lobby printer was down. They went above and beyond to ensure that I could complete training materials for the next day. Most hotel staffers would not have been as generous or gracious. Plus, the hotel was nice. If you have the choice, stay at this hotel!
This location does not live up to Marriott standard. The furniture was dirty and bathrooms in need of an update. My family and I were in town for a function and we ended not staying the night because no one was comfortable with the thought of sleeping in the bed!! After our event we checked out!!
The hospitality is thick. Great room-very spacious and with all the extras to make you feel at home. Pet-friendly. Clean and comfortable. Used the wifi to stream movies without any issues. Noticed the fancy TVs let you use Netflix and such too. Awesome place to stay near the shopping and dining.
My husband and I had a short stay in Columbus, Ga and wanted a nice room, The front desk associate made sure that we would be satisfied with the room before check in. It was clean, and decorated very nice. All of the hotel staff was accommodating and we enjoyed our stay.
Were got there at 4:30 and out suite was not ready. There was no excuse for that. We had made reservation a few weeks ago. It was NOT busy either. The pool is outdoors and dirty. They dont empty their garbage cans. Breakfast was decent, staff was nice, but it didnt compare with normal excellent Marriott service. Very disapointing. Good thing i was in great company, but we all felt the same about the hotel.
Surprisingly pleasant management and excellent cleaners. But dont expect the same experience I had. Most of the employees (management and cleaners) have worked there 10 years in up and were All quitting due to the new Management Company eliminating All Benefits sick time,PTO, and health. So sadly I will not be coming back.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times. Both times I had a queen suite. Kitchen/ living area is seperate from bedroom area. Nice granite counter tops, clean, and adequate size. The bed was very comfortable with nice linens. I rested very well as it was quiet, having asked for a quiet area to get some rest before my meeting. Breakfast was the only let down. I felt it could have been better, but it was free. Overall I had a nice stay and would definitely recommend it as a great and comfortable place to stay. It is very close to all the restaurants and shopping areas.
Front desk staff extremely professional, friendly, & helpful with directions. There was a very nice variety of breakfast foods. The location was good in relationship to business at Ft. Benning as well as downtown Columbus. The only complaint I had was the softness of the mattress that caused me to roll to the center of the bed & not get as good a sleep as I would have liked. Room & bathroom were both clean & well maintained. Price was right.
This property is conveniently located near lots of restaurants and shopping. After a long drive, it was nice not to have to put much effort in figuring out dinner. The property accepts pets for an additional $100 fee, and although that seems expensive, there were few other options in the area. Our room was located relatively close to an outside access door so that facilitated getting our dog out to go to the bathroom. The room was clean and had all we needed. The bathroom was in need of a strong deep scrub, but on the surface adequate for a one night stay. Beds are queens and comfortable. This is a good choice if you travel with your pet.
My service was wonderful. Very friendly staff and manager, maintenance guys, breakfast ladies, reception, house keepers, all friendly. Breakfast was a great variety, everyday some different options as well as everyday favorites, the kitchen ladies were helpful and nice. The entire Inn was spotless clean, attractive, our room layout and bathroom were spacious and set up well, full kitchen was nice to have dishes and everything even dishwasher for extended stay. Most importantly I felt safe and relaxed while staying alone overnights as a young woman lone traveler, you must have a key card to enter the hotel after 11 pm, this feature was a major selling point for me and a comfort to put my husbands worry at rest. I hope I covered everything because my stay was perfect. I will choose Residence Inn Marriott every time its available.
Under renovation, which was no problem to us as we just needed a place to spend the night and were gone before breakfast was served. Therefore, going next door to their sister hotel wasnt a concern of ours. However, the saw dust in and on the dishes, the dirty dishes and the coffee pot without a lid were problems. These were not reported due to the fact that no one answered my call upon leaving at 5:15 a.m. Im sure the dishes just hadnt been washed since the room was renovated...the housekeeping department should not have allowed this room to be used until thoroughly cleansed. Everything else about the room was just fine. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was accommodating and the rest of the suite was very clean. Had I had more time, I would have washed the dishes my self ;)
We had a great time in this hotel . Staff was so nice and they made sure we had everything we needed. Great location, by every store and restaurant you would need. Pool was very nice and clean , we all enjoyed that. Rooms were clean and big and loved having a kitchen table and everything stocked with plates, cups etc.
Front desk staff is very friendly and is slow to some tasks but to be fair there were a lot of traveler during my stay. Maids dont thourouly clear rooms and that you have to leave notes in room for them to accomplish what you need them to do. I traveled during my stay so I was too tired to notice during the beginning of my stay. Once I got hurt and did not travel as much I noticed all that was not getting done and spoke directly to personnel I had an issues with. Other than that it was great socials with other guests Monday-Wenesday, and closeness to all the Mall areas/Walmart-Sams Club. Just for a weekend getaway yes to that. Any long stays there are better hotels that service matches prices......
The hotel was very clean. Shelves were stocked with the utensils ready for use. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were there for a conference and needed an early check in and a late check out in wich they very helpful in making it possible. I will definitely stay here again when in town.
My significant other left his necklace behind when we checked out and the hotel contacted us when they found it. We were go grateful because we thought it was a goner. Hotel was recently renovated and feels brand-new. Staff was exceptional and were diligent in fulfilling all of my random stay requests. I will definitely be back! Located in a bustling shopping district so you have plenty restaurants, grocery stores, and retail stores to choose from in walking distance.
This Residence Inn had the usual grand amenities, such as large living spaces and apartment-size kitchens. The breakfast area offered great food and a plethora of choices. The hotel was very quiet and provided a great opportunity to relax in a peaceful environment. As a bonus, its located in an area of Columbus that provides countless and diverse culinary offerings, most within .5 of a mile. The staff is very accommodating and friendly.
This is one of the good Residence Inns. It’s well maintained and it has a variety of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. It’s about 20 minutes from Fort Benning which is appealing for the soldiers and families who want a little space. Always like the free breakfasts, never understand why this is the smokers stand outside the front door.
We used this off site location for the toastmasters convention in calloway gardens. This locationwas easy to get to and the service was great. The suite was roomy and well arranged and thebed slept great. The suite included a kitchenette and two work tables. The free breakfast wasa treat. The entire staff was professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again whenwe are in the area. Also, check-out was a breeze. Excellent all around.
The bathrooms and there were stains on the bathroom walls, the tub floor was dirty and stained, around the toilet bowl was stained, bathroom ceiling in both bathrooms were covered in mold. The couch in the living room area was extremely dirty to the point we decided to spread some towels on it before we sat down. I put my dogs food out and within an hour there were bugs crawling all over her bowl.I reached out to customer service over 2 weeks ago and no one from the company has responded to me in any capacity.
This is a very well positioned hotel - with excellent amenities and a superior staff. Very close to MANY good places to each, shop, and relax. Very convenient location, clean rooms, and a great breakfast. We had absolutely perfect service in every department.I have already booked another stay in this hotel.
The hospitality, interest and sincere desire to assure your stay is flawless cannot be topped by the staff at this location. The atmosphere, work ethic and true kindness shown by each staff member is a genuine display of southern hospitality. Very comfortable experience, feel like you are home.
I think the overall look of the hotel was great. I make it a point to stay at Residence Inns hotels, however the stinch in the hotel was awful. I informed my colleague of this matter and she said hers smelled terrible too, which resulted in me not reporting it and enduring the 2 days. The housekeeper cleaned my room as if that was their last day working--- I walked in on very poor job- but I guess my expectations after that point werent high for this specific location. Will I stay at this location again? Probably not, I think I expected more because of its location, but I may just stay at another property if coming for business in this vicinity.
I was startled that Kayley was behind the desk and not wearing a mask when I came to check in. I like the facility, but i had a 20 minute wait to check in after doing mobile checkin. The grab and go breakfast got boring fast. There are other types of muffins besides blueberry.
We came because our grandson was finishing OCS at Benning. His mother and family from MD and his brother from MI came as well. The hotel is in an excellent location to Ft Benning. Located on a hill so you can see all around. nice parking. Breakfast was one of the best Ive seen. the staff handled all our questions well.We all enjoyed our two night stay.
A hotel that doesnt feel like a hotel is how I would describe. Very agreeable price especially considering all of the amenities included. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay at decent price. Gym on site, outdoor and in the two bedroom suite I stayed in fireplace, breakfast with good variety and choices.
My wife and I were forced to find a place to stay after our home was struck by lightning and caught fire. The problem was we had two small dogs and needed a place that was pet friendly. After a little online research, we found Residence Inn and are so glad we did. Every single staff member that we deal with from the front desk to the breakfast area to our room attendant have been very pleasant to deal with. We even had to have a minor sink problem fixed and the maintenance guy was just super nice. Staying at this Columbus, GA Residence Inn is becoming our 2nd home while repairs are being done and we couldnt be in better hands.
During my week stay Monday and Tuesday was good. Wednesday I think the cleaning person was wanting to leave early as my room on had bed made and took old towels. No new towels or cleaning done or trash emptied. On Thursday she never even came in room same trash was in room, bed was not done and no new towels. Nothing else was done. I talked to desk person and she said it showed it was done both days. Glad to see they take care of Titanium members well. I left the Springhill next door for this, looks like I will be going back to springhill.
Staff was VERY nice ...and the room was great. We stayed in a suite and thought it was plenty of room for me and my husband and dog.Location ...ehhhh You are behind a Hooters but just ask for a room facing the pool or front of hotel. The car was fine I felt safe walking the dog. You can walk to any chain food restaurant your heart desires( you only have chains in Columbus GA)
We really enjoyed our stay. Only thing I would say is your hotel needs more parking spaces. Other than that everything else was great. Also ice machine should at least be on the first floor if not all floor. I understand people complain about the noise of the machine. Having the ice machine in the breakfast was kinda different because the breakfast attendant that worked that Saturday morning told my husband that she wasnt going to have enough ice to work with because he was going to get it all. During that time of the morning people are getting their breakfast you dont want to see people filling up ice coolers in the breakfast area. Thats but your Residence Inn Team were great.
Currently staying about half way through my stay. Staff is very friendly, breakfast and evening snack has been good so far. There is so much shopping and places to eat ( sit down, fast food you name it its here) at this motels door step. Great place to stay when visiting your soldier as they can have their pick or where to eat and then relax in the room. There is also a movie theater, win dixie, sams club/gas and a super walmart right here ( and much more).Con is cleanliness. Especially out side around the pool. The trash in the trash can and cigarette butts, pieces of paper, broke googles around the pool has not been picked up in the 3 days I have been here. I have only seen staff at the pool to put the hose in to fill it and thats it. Noticed broke glass near pool under windows just off the walk way. Its not terrible, pool is usuable and appears safe, just needs picked up. Though they do keep the towels stocked for it and the exercise room was tidy.. The netting to scoop debris out of the pool is left pool side for self service. Which is nice to clean it before you get in of any recent debris. I go visit my solider tomorrow and google maps says its about a 25 to 30 minute drive south.I would like to add to my review. Its been a day or two since I posted and I did see staff out cleaning up the pool area when I returned around 3pm. Its nice to see the follow through. Thank you. Also its not your fault that people cant pick up their own mess. I would stay here again.
This hotel is to big of a name to have beds that slope. The bathroom needs someone to get on there hands and knees for some detailing around the base boards. If you get a bad nights sleep(which we did) the hotel will get a bad rating. The staff was very friendly but it doe not make up for the terrible beds.
This property meets the high standards and expectations of a business traveller, comfortable, congenial, and has a great feel to it. In the event you experience a problem, the matter will be dealt with satisfactorily to your expectations. I have no problem or reservation about recommending this property to anyone visiting the Columbus area. This property is extremely well located close to many eating establishments (within walking distance) and conveniently located.
I reserved the Marriott as a birthday gift for a second time for my husband. We love the fact that its home away from home and the location is great it gives us a chance to visit the movies and different restaurants which is great because where we live its nothing close. I love the way it is decorated and how soft the bed sleeps. Would recommend the Marriott to anyone.
My family stayed at the Columbus Residence Inn over the Christmas holiday (12/18 thru 12/25 and again on 12/30) and we could not be happier with our decision! Every person on the staff was very welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The staff took it to another level of customer service when the entire family came down with the Flu. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate our needs and make the best of a not so great situation. I wish we would have taken down everyones name, but one person that my wife chatted with a few times was Keta. Please keep up the great work as this will be our place to stay as we visit our family in the future.
The location is great, with lots of things within walking distance. The rooms are nice, nothing overly fancy but everything you need for an extended stay. Plus they are pet friendly. The food at breakfast is better than average and adds a great value to the hotel with a large selection of food, but I have an unfair bias toward the hotels kitchen.
This is a lovely extended stay hotel. It has some odd quirks, like oddly-placed light switches and such, but it is comfortable. The Internet is slow, and you have to pay for the decent Internet. The breakfast is nice, and they have everything you might need for everyday living.
Well so far, its going really great. They ask for a review before I even get to stay all night. The room is roomy for two. Full size fridge, oven range Microwave, to flat stove burners, & a dishwasher. It is right in a huge shopping center where everything is so close, even walking distance. You have Marshalls, TJ Maxx, carters, Ross, Walmart, Sams Club, TGI Friday, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Long Horn, Cheeders, Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bone Fish Grill, a seafood restaurant, BBQ, smoothies, Marble Slab, Krispy Kreme, & More Resturants, a shoe store, Lowes, & so much more. I will be back. The area has everything. The mall isnt Peachtree mall isnt far at all, maybe like 15mins away. You will Not be disappointed with this area an stay. The only thing that sucks is that everything shopping wise close @7pm due to Covid19.
Wonderful stay in a facility which was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Extremely pleased. I plan on staying again whenever I come to this areaEveryone I met, from front desk to outside groundskeepers, were extremely friendly and courteous. Everyone asked if there was anything they could do.The Three Up and Three Down:Three Up:1. Friendly/helpful staff2. Cleanliness of rooms and facility3. Convenience to shopping/restaurantsThree Down:1. Location in regards to railroad. Noise was distracting2. Lock to patio area inoperable, even after advising staff. I had to walk halfway around facility to enter building3. One entrance/exit to grounds. Blind corner when attempting to exit. Thankfully traffic not as congested as it could be.Overall, I was extremely pleased with my stay. This will always be the first consideration when visiting the area. I hope to have the same size room when I come again.
Overall great hotel. Right in the Exit 10 area. The gym they provide access to is large and right down the street (its a real gym). Clean, Large room, Lots of Light, Cute Kitchen, Propane Grill on the Patio with an Outdoor Gas Fire Pit. I cant say enough nice things about the house keeping staff. Great stay!
The facilities and entire campus were very clean and well maintained. Furnishings were modern and comfortable. Wish i had the mattress on my bed at home! Room was quiet despite closeness to road. Will use the Residence Inn when i return to Columbus next year for meeting.
Friendly staff. Good location near shopping and interstate. Be aware the noise level is very high. Hooters is next door and every Thursday evening they have a loud motorcycle contest in their parking lot. If you like really loud motorcycles, this is the place on Thursday nights!
Beautiful stay!! Well kept and the location cant be beat. Its right across the street from all of your shopping needs. As well as resturants. Handicap friendly. However the ramps outside of off set from the actual doors. So the handicap parking spaces are in front of the doors. However you have go behind the whole roll of cars to get to the ramp. Travel on sidewalk back across the front of row of cars to get to the door.Thats only if you use the side doors. The front of the office hase accomodations.Fire place and loung are outside. Very very nice!Mixers were a little skimpy compaired to other locations. And the eating feels a bit too clinical as apossed to worm and inviting. Cramped if you will.
This is location was okay expect the hotel elevators carpet is not well kept it’s pretty unclean and the pull out sofa had bed bugs on it and no one never calls me back on this issue and the toilet in guest bathroom just kept running. And the pool was done more than two days!! And last it was mother’s say weekend you would think they would have done a special muffin etc like the Marriott in Atlanta.
In the beginning we were asked to move to another hotel. We stayed where we contracted for and it turned out great. Laquinta the desk manager was outstanding and should be recognized for being a person who goes the extra mile for her customers. Outstanding young lady!!
I’ve stayed a total of 53 nights in this particular hotel. The first stay was for 41 nights straight. The room I was in was ok, however when someone would use the hot water below me the pipes would start making a piping sound, same thing would happen when I would to. The room ice machine in the fridge also when my out. I told them about this durning my stay and they said we will get right on it. It was never fixed. Then 4 months later I go back and I end up getting the same room, and still the popping and still the ice machine in the fridge was not working. Everything else was pretty good, staff was always nice and helpful minus the fridge anyways.
This was our second time staying at this location and both times was a pleasure... the hotel is located in a convenient area... the front desk staff is amazing...they smile and had welcoming faces... they were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area... the rooms was clean and nice
We recently stayed at the Residence Inn Columbus when we were in town for Turning Blue and Graduation at Fort Benning. This hotel is very military friendly, great discounts for active military. Clean rooms. Gracious and welcoming staff. Location is very convenient, easy drive to base and near dining and shopping. Highly recommend for families visiting loved ones at Fort Benning.
Received a phone call from front desk that were loud - it was 10am and we were getting ready to checkout. Never in my life ever had someone call on noise level. Went down to breakfast buffet - no plates; no napkins; and no food. Cleanliness was lacking. Front desk was rude and difficult to understand.
I spent 40 days in this hotel changed rooms 3 times first roaches coming out of AC vent crawling on ceiling magget on floor carpet. Second downstairs hallway smells like Dog breath from 6am until around 5pm reeks of poop in hallway. Third door handle room 210 double Queen suite broken bathroom toilet is leaking urine from floor loud urine smell. semen on pull out couch roaches throughout. Refrigerator ice machine is non function. The pool is always slimy or not working. The cleaning staff was great they witness all the above complaint and tried to help but the management team above the general manager (AJ) is very deceptive and disconcered an acceptable complaint is based on skin Color its not a black people friendly environment the manager Allson is non responsive if your skin color differ from hers. Its looks good on outside but ugly behind the walls if you are black or other go to Homewood suites 1/4 mile away better experience cheaper better breakfast bar staff is supper resident friendly go all out better pool cleaning standard is much higher. I have video proof of all above complaint and will be posting.
These people are so rude. The staff members are absolutely an educated in the skills needed to manage a hotel. The managers working at the front desk’s are irresponsible and do not communicate well with other staff members therefore causing many problems for customers and residents in this hotel. I do not recommend this place and if I could make a special complaint against every manager at this location I would. Do not waste your money on this place
We stayed at the Residence Inn in Columbus for our sons family day and Graduation from OSUT. Mike the Manager was FANTASTIC! The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. The two room suites, with living and kitchen are is wonderful for large families and groups. The staff allowed us to use the common area to have our family celebrations. Morning breakfasts were fantastic. Stores, places to eat etc. surround the hotel. Would never stay anywhere else if in Columbus! Thank you all for making our stay away from home like staying with family!!!!
This hotel has it all! Located near restaurants and shopping is right across the street. We were in town to visit son at Fort Benning and it isnt far from base either. Hotel is modern and clean as well as stylish. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful with any question. This is our third time in town visiting and this by far was the best hotel.
Great place to stay but unfortunately the rooms and hallway was under renovations. I always enjoy my stay at the Residence Inn for the dinner socials and the breakfast. This time they didnt have the dinne social which i was truly disappointed with. Next time, offer a dinner coupon or additional points for your Elite members.
Needed a weekend getaway and found this place close to home. Friendly smiles and warm welcomes greeted us as we walked in. Quiet environment even though some renovation work was being done. Close to shopping and restaurants which is always a plus. Just what we needed in order to recharge our batteries. Will definitely be going back!
I would come back to this hotel anytime I visit Columbus, GA. The staff was super friendly and willing to help in any way needed. Forget something, just ask. If you are looking for something, they will offer recommendations and directions. Breakfast is hot and ready for you and they have plenty of options.
In addition to being a nice clean facility with pleasant knowledgeable staff, the location of the facility was particularly nice being close to stores, dining, and some shopping. This was particularly helpful as we were visiting from Seattle for our sons army graduation and had no prior knowledge of the area.
Will always stay at the Residence Inn in Columbus Ga, whenever I am in the area. We had a great experience visiting our soldier in training and the helpful staff made for a relaxing and worry free stay! I very much appreciate the special rate offered to military families visiting their soldiers!
The staff at this Residence Inn property are truly the best and once again they out did themselves with their winning ways and hospitable craftsmanship. I wll always come to this property as long as I come to Columbus, GA.AJ, Michelle, staff thanks for a job extremely well done! You should all get a raise for the talents you possess!
I dont remember their names, but every one of the staff members were excellent and helpful. From being greeted at the front door by your administrative staff to your housekeeping staff that checked on me everyday to accommodate any need that I may have had. I really appreciate your staff and their commitment to excellent service!!!
My family and I left the hotel Saturday morning and returned in the evening to find our hotel room door open. The room had been cleaned and the door was held ajar by the door latch. The maid did not ensure the door was locked after cleaning. Anyone could have entered our room and stolen our things. This is unacceptable.
Good night rest is very important and begins with a comfortable bed. My bed was sinking in the middle that I woke up with pain in the back in the middle of night. It was too late to change the room, so I slept on the couch. I asked to switch the room for next two more nights following morning. Not something I expected from the Residence Inn.
From the perfect location, the reasonable price, the very nice/stylish/comfy rooms, very clean everything...to the delicious free breakfast buffet in the morning and friendly staff, we love everything about this place. Have stayed twice so far and is the only place well stay in the future when we visit Columbus.
Disgusting, black mold on the shower ceiling, stains on the walls, stains all over the couch and recliner, we had our dogs food on the floor for 3 hours and there was ants all over the food, its just disgusting, For real, we dont complain about anything but this hotel is bad bad.
I live in Alpharetta Ga. but when in my old *hometown this is my away from metro atlanta stay place...Really nice! #Simplicity #CozyGetAWay #FreeBreakfast (great way to start the day) #Restaurants #Airport #GroomeShuttle #AutoDealerships #Walmart (other retail stores as well) and #Theatre

2022-06-22The hotel staff at this Residence Inn were all terrific. A special shout-out to Melissa at the front desk. She was helpful, friendly, customer-focused, and professional…and went out of her way to accommodate (and sometimes anticipate) our requests during our 5 night stay. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite which met our needs and was fine. Breakfast was OK. Location is great. The high rating is because of the excellent staff. We will definitely return.

2022-05-12Stayed here for a week while visiting family for a funeral. The hotel overall was pretty clean. Front desk staff were always very friendly. Walked into my room and My shoes didn’t stick to the floor so that was nice. Breakfast was good with a decent variety, not fine dining by any stretch but it was hot, tasted good, and it was free. My only complaint is the room noise. You hear every car door, every hallway and parking lot conversation, every room door on your floor open and close. Aside from that the place was great.

2022-06-29As I lay here with my daughter who is ill from swimming in the pool, I am disappointed in this hotel. As a loyal Titanium level Bonvoy member and previous Marriott employee, I expect more. The experience was not a good one. The air in our room didn’t work. The maintenance guy had us waiting all day when the front desk said he would be by in the morning to check it. When he finally came around 3:30, he sprayed the unit or something that didn’t fix it and came back twice to check the temp. On the second time when the temp had not changed, he said he’d be back. When an hour passed with no update, my husband went to check at the desk. They said the maintenance man left. While the front desk did move us to a different room, there was no apology for the inconvenience at all. I was not happy about needing to move since we had so much luggage. Only one of the front desk people has a good understanding of the fact that they work in the HOSPITALITY industry and behaved as such. The manager did offer points for the inconvenience, but every time we were in the lobby, he appeared to be too busy to acknowledge our presence and this seemed odd. Moving forward to the pool…our daughter was dying to swim. The pool didn’t look very clean, but we took a chance. She swam on Sunday and Monday morning was immediately complaining of pain in her ears, eyes and throat. Turns out all are infected and it is clearly from the pool water. Funny since, as we were leaving Monday morning, we saw the negligent maintenance guy haphazardly throwing what appeared to be chlorine bleach in the pool. I sure wish he had done this the day before.I’m very disappointed in this property. I over looked the horrendously stained tub, the sparsely stocked kitchen area, the huge roach who shared our bathroom, the badly hung doors that opened and closed oddly, the not so clean condition of both rooms upon entry and the lackluster customer service from the staff, but as I lay her awake with my daughter and her 101 fever from multiple infections and spending an ungodly amount of money to have her seen at an out of network urgent care since we are traveling, I just had to share. I’d expect this from a Comfort Inn, but not a Marriott. Do better or give up your flag…please…the health of your customers should be your top priority. There were several small children in the pool that day, I pray they are not also ill from this property’s negligence. Do better……

2022-04-22My truck was broken into while staying here along with several others in the same night. I called the police and filed a report. I overheard management talking about how this had been a frequent thing. Yet there had still not been any type of security hired and the parking lot surveillance was not accessible for whatever reason. I have stayed here before and been very satisfied. Im not sure ill feel comfortable enough to do so again without parking lot security.

2021-10-26This residence inn was perfect for myself and my party for our one night. We had been driving for 6 hours from Orlando, coming to the area for a concert. We were very grateful that the room was ready early for us, to drop our bags and leave for the venue. The suites were perfectly polished and we loved the design. We wish we had an extra day to enjoy the basketball court and fire pit. We booked this locations for the extra space and the rollaways (Bonvoy app listed rollaways as an option), however when we were returning from the concert we were told that the property did not have rollaways. No harm no foul, we just used the couch cushions to create a bed on the floor (we were a party of three all needing separate beds). We were so exhausted, as soon as our heads hit any pillow we were asleep. By the time we woke up and went down to grab some breakfast, before hitting the road to drive back to Orlando, it was 9:00am. We went down to grab some breakfast, however everything was cleared out. We lingered for about 20 minutes thinking some new trays would be brought out, which unfortunately never happened. Again, no harm no foul. We made some waffles with the waffle maker and went back to clean the room before leaving (we heard housekeeping discussing in the hallways about the high amount of check outs and the small staffing, we wanted to assist with the departures by hopefully making our room as easy as possible). Overall I would absolutely stay here again, however Columbus, GA isn’t exactly one of my top destinations. We enjoyed your property, and thank you for everything!

2021-12-21After check in, I arrived to my room to find a used toilet tissue on the floor 🤢 the floor was sticky and the room had a weird smell. There was no ironing board in the room so I had to call to get one. Basically, the location and the amenities are the only good things about this hotel.

2021-10-26Fantastic stay at the Residence Inn in Columbus- the rooms are better than the photos. We arrived after hours and had no issues checking into the hotel. The staff was amazing!! It was easy to get Ubers and Lyfts. There are tons of restaurants and shops nearby- most are within walking distance.

2021-10-29New place, friendly staff. Nice looking rooms, great outdoor area for grills and just having a place to sit.Beds were hard, and the new laminate floors transfer sound a lot. 2nd floor was hard to get a good nights sleep because of the people above on the 3rd floor walking around in the middle of the night and the hard floor transferring the sound. I get its easier to clean but carpet helps deaden noise.

2021-07-12Amy was very helpful being able to assist with a room change due to a guest concern. She was very polite and understanding! Melissa was amazing the entire stay!! My 3yr adored and looked for her daily upon existing and entering. She was extremely friendly, sociable, and created a personal bond with my family and I. Marsha was a sweetheart! I had no problem being patient with her considering she had so much to do and assisting so many at one time. She stayed professional at all times. The morning clerk, Im not sure her name, she was the African American lady with the beautiful nails. She was very assisting with my extending and she was friendly and professional as well. Dre was very mannerable and accommodating! He would light the pit for me and helped with linen during his break. The front desk workers never disappointed!! My only concern was not being able to use my employee rate or military discount.

2021-06-08The newly renovated rooms were very nicely decorated. However, we had no lobby space or breakfast area to enjoy during our stay and there was no offer of compensation for this. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful! Pool was rather gross - didn’t even consider going in it. Will be great once they get the breakfast/lobby completed.
