Although this place has a selection of retro games, some things caught my eye.1) Much like Gamestop, the stickers on their games just overload it. They cover up the artwork.2) The store is just so quiet and bland. I have yet to see a change in their look. Its the same old, same old.3) Their prices. Lets talk about their prices. Yes, they do try to keep up with current prices. HOWEVER, a lot of their stuff is overvalued. A lot of the time, they are higher than Gamestop.4) They value retro more than anything. I understand the nostalgia trip. From someone who grew up in the late 80s, I understand it completely. However, my daughter, has a PS4. She wanted a few games, but their selection is just so small. I have met a lot of people who have newer consoles that have never heard of SNES or Genesis.Spruce it up a little. Change the prices down. Get a larger selection. And then Ill have a better word.
I was passing through the area on a road trip and decided to check out the store, as I am an avid gamer and collector. I was blown away at the astronomical prices on everything. This store is WAY over priced on not only the video games, consoles, and accessories...but because Im a girl, I felt as if I was treated with an attitude of disregard as if I didnt know anything about gaming. I do not recommend shopping here if you want good prices. Everything that I saw was well above eBay prices. More like Retro Ripoff!!
Called in a few minutes before hand, guy on phone was polite and quick to respond to my questions. Entered the store and was served the same way, even had a nice short discussion about the stuff I was buying. 10/10, will shop again.
The staff has this sort of attitude like they have a cork in their a$$. That sort of attitude that makes them come off as if theyre better than everyone else. I would much rather waste $30 more dollars at Gamestop than deal with them. The best thing Retro has to offer, is there Magic selection. Other than that, take 2 minutes and scoot down to Gamestop.
Love this store so much. They have everything!! Old toys and games and they do events for the kids all the time. Everything is well kept and the employees their are amazing. Nice family environment and great prices! Please, you owe it to yourself to pay them a visit !!! 10 Billion stars
When in and had a opportunity to buy a wii system. Was told it couldnt be sold until he was sure the remote worked. We were told to call monday morning and if control worked we could come pick it up. We called for a week straight and no one would answer. Apparently they didnt want our business. My husband and I will definitely not do business with them again.
Anyone who complains about prices can go to eBay and deal with the fakes and broken games you get from there for cheap (you get what you pay for). The market for each individual game changes every day. Prices fluctuate. Some of Retro Reboots prices are a little above eBay, some are a little below. I cannot understand why someone would go to the businessplace of a dealer and expect eBay or Pricecharting prices anyway. Retro Reboot even has a discount program if you buy one of their shirts.Ive only been able to visit three times over the past year and each was a pleasure. The selection of games and collectibles seemed to have change quite a bit which each visit. I always find more than one thing in the store I just cant leave without. I look forward to future visits.
This place is amazing!! The only bad thing about it is, i had no idea it existed 😭. I never go to the mall and look around. I only heard about it after i called gamestop looking for an a/v cord to a nintendo 64. The guy i spoke with on the telephone suggested this place and Im soooo greatful. I was able to get a brand-new controller AND a mothers day discount! 😍 (finally! A little payoff! Jk) Ill definitely return very soon!!
Definitively the best game store in town, even in the Tri-County area. They have the best selection of collectible items, comic books, figurines and figures, card games such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic (MTG), video games and even an arcade! Theyre friendly, fast and their prices are fair. There Fair on trade ins, I usually end up getting more money than any other game store offers.Theyre the only store within an hours drive to host Friday Night Magic.I could not recommend them more, or sing better phrases for them. Five stars hands down if I could give more I would.Ive been a gamer for 19 years, and I expected too many years of business with this store.

Surprisingly good selection for such a small town. The dude at the counter couldnt answer some of my questions, but he was quick to call somebody who could.

The owner is the best guy around. I personally seen it and witnessed this first hand. He is a true gamer with a passion and it shows when he talks to you.
This place is garbage. Their disc games suck because they don’t know how to use a resurfacing machine. Their stuff is way over priced. I want to give this place a -100000000 stars but 1 star will have to suffice.

2022-03-23Loved the items for sale, just not Thomas’ customer service while checking out. Wanted my boyfriend and I’s purchases separate and he was really passive aggressive. It was only 3 items. 2 for me, 1 for him. Like, I work in customer service as well, but I have never treated anyone like they were a nuisance. He even crumpled up my receipt when it printed out and didn’t give it to me.

2017-12-23A few things you can/will experience here:- Enjoyable conversation with the employees- The Ultimate Nostalgia trip- Special services that you cant find many places, especially here in Waycross.- An awesome place to hang out, at a very modest fee.- Decent prices- An environment that fills you with the joy you felt as a kid.Tonight they allowed me to host a fun game of Magic: The Gathering.I asked to rent their two tables (only 10 bucks for the whole night by the way.) and they included a third table for free just to give us extra room.They smashed them together for us and it became our battlefield, we were in the spot-light and it felt perfect - very fun and many players left happy tonight, and are eager to return for more.Thanks for having us!

2021-11-10I bought a copy of pokemon diamond. The clerk informed me that it was a bootleg copy and asked me if I still wanted to buy it. I asked the clerk if I would still be able to trade pokemon with other games. The clerk assured me that that the trading would work. It turns out that it doesnt work and I am unable to trade, so now Im stuck with a useless copy of a game that I wasted 50 dollars on. I dont recommend this place to anyone.

2019-04-14This particular video game shop is pretty unique being that they have a lot of vintage things from the 80s and 90s like, toys, memorabilia and arcades, on top of new games and vintage. I do have to say that a lot of their games are on the high side, but I mentioned that to the clerk at the time and he was nice enough to check current prices and made a little wiggle room on top of that, so thats pretty awesome in my book. Its hard going in retro store sometimes and all the prices are in line with eBay and their hard set on everything. But I would definitely recommend this store being that the store looks very fun and retro and the employee seemed really Lacks in trying to make games fair prices.
