Enjoyed myself! It was a dope bar. It does get a lot of requests for the VR experience so it depends on when you get there to see the wait time. Now you can RSVP if you have a larger group and it would less expensive as well. The system itself is very sensitive and sometimes the haptic feedback is a little slow. Love the music that was playing, and nice decor. Drinks were a little pricey but they serve beer, some wine, and liquor. No food, but you can pay for snacks such as popcorn, or pretzels. Nice trendy crowd, upbeat music, and the parking is not the largest. It is located behind a building so it it not visible from the main road so look ever so closely for that left or right turn depending on which direction you are travelling. Its behind the stores that are being renovated adjacent to the frames shop to the main road.
Been wanting to visit this place for about a year now and we finally came on a date night. The ambiance is cool the vibe is definitely a younger crowd like 20s so if you want just virtual reality then come earlier. It gets pretty interesting as it gets later in the night. The virtual reality was cool but we had to keep getting help because the handles werent calibrated and then we signed up for 1 hr but they only gave us 30 minutes. Some of the games didnt work that well either so there was a lot of breaks in playing the games. The ladies room was nasty with no soap and strange activity but I guess thats a club vibe for you.Drinks were very strong.
Really like the idea of this place. My husband and I have come a few times and it seems to be getting better but we always experience technical issues with the equipment which results in wasting the time that we’ve paid to play. I’m optimistic that the controls become more advanced and that the process becomes more seamless with time.
Overall this place was pretty neat! We went on a Friday night and it got super packed! I would say go around 11 we went at 9pm and it was way to early. The DJ had the crowd going, great drinks and overall great vibes. We played multiple games and that was fun also. The only thing I wish you could do is play the game at the same time that’s a bummer because you have to take turns. I will definitely come back and give it another try.
Came here with another couple, and we all had a blast. It was the first VR bar experience I’ve had, but I’m sure it’s far from the last. It was a pretty cool experience overall. The headset was pretty uncomfortable though, and if I’m being honest, I’d say that I think that the games could’ve been a little less glitchy when the time limit is as firm as it is. (We ran into an issue with two of the games freezing up). That aside, I would definitely say this is an engaging spot to bring friends to play games and enjoy quality time out and about! Try it out for sure!
Ugh, I was really looking forward to this place, but was really let down. It has an awesome vibe and layout, but their sign-in system, video game glitches, and service needs to be improved greatly. Our original wait time was supposed to be 30 minutes, but ended up being almost an hour because of various technical issues. When we finally got our booth, the game froze and was not responsive twice causing us to get help to reboot the system. This cut into our play time which was not compensated. I thought this was unfair and such a bummer. By the end of the experience, I was just fed up with this place and wanted to leave to go someplace else.Good concept, but poorly executed.
This was one of the most unique experiences Ive had! Its got a small-bar atmosphere with as very cool VR gimmick. My husband and I had never experienced VR before and ended up doubling the time we intended to play but it was TOTALLY worth it. Definitely check it out if youre looking for a unique experience!
If you own or regularly use VR, this isnt a place youll be interested in. You wont find DOOM or Skyrim here. Instead, this place excels at being an introduction to VR and a fun place to go with people who havent or rarely used VR.The drinks are good albeit on the expensive side(my cocktail cost $11, but was worth it). They didnt offer any food which was a bit of a bummer, but understandable considering how nasty those headsets would get if people touched them with hands covered in food. The VR itself was somewhat expensive as well ($20/half HR), but that is for a booth which can be split between multiple people. As an introduction to VR, they offer about 20ish games of different types so there should be something for everyone in what they offer. As is often the case, PCs at a place like this can be temperamental. About five minutes in to our first game, the PC froze. The employees fixed it quickly only for it to happen again a few minutes later. Rather than make us deal with that machine all night, they switched us to another booth which had no issues and reset our time and added extra for the inconvenience without us asking for any compensation which was nice.
Had a great time here! Cool experience and low prices. Only 40 for 1 hour of game time. Came on a Thursday with no wait. Each beer comes with a shot which was an unexpected surprise. The staff was friendly and helpful as well, definitely a place in ATL to check out or cool date night spots. Don’t wear heels!!
Arrived at 845pm...barely no one in building. Waited 15 min for someone to get to the front desk. Then was told itll be a 35-40 min wait till all systems were up & running, & they will call us when were next. Waited 1.5 hr. No one called/or texted. Took additional 15 min to find hostess again! Now the place Is packed & no rooms available. Even worse , she acted like she didnt remember us nor did she put our names down. Told us to give her another 15 min & we will have a room. 20 min. Later we approached a different hostess about our room....omg!! Again we were NOT on the list & so many ppl were complaining about malfunctioning systems. Waited another 30min. We will not be back, & willing to drive further for better service & operations. Spot was really chilled tho & good vibes, but if going for vr...seek another.
Great bar. Slow service but that’s it. The worst part is the parking. They have a parking lot behind the bar but beware. If you do not park directly behind them and you decide to park in the ABSOLUTELY UNMARKED parking lot beside it you will get booted. They have one sign towards the entrance behind the dumpster complete invisible to anyone pulling in saying do not park here. You will get booted. Nothing you can do but pay the $75 charge to get your car unbooted. Complete BS. Have more warning and people will know instead of screwing over people that want to have a good time.
When we went there was a wait, but we went to the bar got a drink and talked a little and it was ready before we got Restless. 1st time doing anything like this and it was awesome, cant wait to go back. Theres a great number of games you can play, we didnt get to them all.
Went on a Friday night and the place was packed! The drinks were strong. Parking was not the best. I had to park off a side street and thankfully I shared my location b/c by the time I left I forgot where I had parked. There was no cover charge (at least for ladies.) I had a good time here.
Insanely fun! This place is such a gem, I cant believe I didnt know it about it sooner. Drinks are good but you can totally have an amazing time and never look twice at the bar. Its just that much of a hit. The DJ was INCREDIBLE (I actually thanked them, because the set was so dang good the entire time) & the staff is super helpful. Its affordable, but youll definitely find yourself wanting to be there all day! Its best to have somewhere to go, otherwise youll keep extending lol Overall would recommend to anyone. Actually already pitched it to my job for our next outing!
Hate the fact that they blast trap music at max volume. I came for the VR and to have difficulty listening to the speaker is incredible frustrating especially on BEAT SABER. The establishment is for VR, the bar part is supposed to be secondary. A quick remedy would be to add doors to the cubicles or headphones (but then guests are left to the winds). It also doesnt make sense to not have all the songs for Beat Saber.
Soooooo. NO. The design is all wrong. Drinks spilling on computers. People playing VR on wet floors. I organize. Even though VR didn’t take off. You all should have invested more into the start up. No Good and mix drinks on tap. Unique. Games are fun. But not work it. Cut of and freeze the entire time. NO GOOD.
If youve never experienced virtual reality gaming, stop by Revery: VR Bar and play for a while. Im not great at gaming, so I was a little intimidated before my first visit—but I had absolutely no reason to be. The staff member that helped my partner and I get set up to play was really nice and helpful, as were the folks behind the bar. If youre a VR newbie like me, I recommend arriving just after they open—between the hours of 5 and 7 pm so you wont have to wrestle with crowds and can get as much of a primer as you need before you start playing. There are games and simulators for people of all stripes to enjoy and I cant wait to go back.
Really awesome place to hang out! The video games are really fun and the customer service is great. You pay by the hour to play virtual reality games but if theres a problem with the rig theyll add more time on for you. If youre looking to party and chill then the dance floor is great and music has always been good the times Ive been.
I love this bar!!I don’t drink, but my friends do and this place is perfect for us all to have a good time.Early evening, gaming is the move. Staff is super knowledgeable and willing to help with getting acclimated to the headsets/games and there are lots to choose from - make your friends choose drunken bar fight >:)Around 11 or so djs start and consistently they play CURRENT/GOOD/VARIANT music which I’ve struggled to find in Atlanta.Dance floor, bar and glass VR booths all coexist but each space can certainly be it’s own.*QUEER FRIENDLY*
The bartenders here have no concept of watching the bar to see who has been waiting and for how long. They serve from left to right as if there is a line not realizing people in the middle may have been waiting longer. As a bartender of over 15 years the concept of not looking up to make eye contact with guests to acknowledge them is foreign to me. I told the bartender last night I had been waiting longer than the gentleman to the left of me and he argued with me about it. Customer service here is horrible.
Really cool bar! its the first VR bar Ive heard about in midtown and it definitely didnt disappoint. its pretty spacious and you can get your own room with a VR setup so you can kinda experience the whole place while having your own area as well. its pretty clean and has a cool aesthetic. kinda pricey but worth for a night with some friends!
I don’t go out much since COVID but this was a fantastic experience I not only had a ton of fun I also felt very safe!!! The owner clearly cares about safety everything is clean and they had Plexiglas for each group to even further insure safety. I give a 10 out of ten review and frankly a must go for all locals and visitors
ALWAYS a good time! I have been here, hmmmmm about 9 times and every time I love it! The drinks, the atmosphere, food(snacks), and of course the games! Perfect place to hang out and laugh with friends. The only thing I can even remotely say anything about is the wait, but it is expected with such a small space.
Good concept, but the game space itself feels constricted. I cant imagine playing with a larger party, as it felt crowded with only three people in my group! Id suggest going for maybe a date night, but stick to a smaller group for a better experience. Theyve got a few kinks to work out with the game systems as well, but the staff is accommodating and friendly.
I was visiting Atlanta and I heard about this place. I was curious about a VR bar, and I expected bad drinks but they were sooooo good! I recommend the draft carbonated cocktails, they taste great. Also there are some good Korean drinks like 소맥 which is famous in Korea. Great place to bring a date ❤️
Enjoyed it totally. A real dope vibe to getaway from norm and customize a moment together. Red light and cool music, great drinks and real fun. Take pics of your friends and explore the many games to play. I liked the bow and arrow one especially. Im going back with different friends everytime and show them this place!!
Revery is a really fun spot, and a great way to experience VR with your friends. The draft cocktails are always solid and though they dont have a food menu, the bar snacks are great. Staff have always been friendly and helpful as well, and the overall atmosphere is exactly what youd want for a VR bar.
I organized a company team event at Revery and it was a hit! It was a large crowd of 12 people and everyone took turns with the games. We had food catered and Michael organized having a table set out so that we could prepare a food bar. We had drink tickets and everyone enjoyed the cocktails (the Tommy Sennet is great!). Overall recommended for groups to enjoy either with friends or coworkers.
Revery VR Bar is the best! I did a corporate event at the bar and we had the entire place. Everyone loved the concept and the decor is amazing. This was a real big hit especially with our engineers and product teams. Great venue! Great service! Great fun!!!! 1000+ stars!
Super unique experience. The VR setup is pretty cool. There are several booths that are sectioned off by glass panels/walls. After getting a booth, youll have to take turns one at a time. There is some eyewear and a couple of hand controls. I really didnt expect my senses to be so closed off when wearing the VR set but it really puts your focus on the game... and leads you to walk and flail your hands in all directions! As for everything else, it was alright. The wait time for a booth can be long and the cocktails arent that great. Finally, I havent had a problem with parking the couple of times I went. However, there are not a lot of spaces. Definitely recommend to carpool or rideshare.
This place was great. First VR bar Ive been to. The drinks were good and the drinks/VR time was fairly priced. It seemed like they were still working out kinks in their VR system (at least the one I used), it would become inactive and crash during certain games and interactions.

The actual bar is awesome. Decor is cool, wait times are long but worth it. However, one of the employees let some of her friends who just came in grab a room when we were first in the queue and had been waiting for 30 minutes. Then another group got ahead of us. The other employee was a nice enough dude, albeit high the whole time lol. Overall, a great addition to Atlanta but its poorly run and managed and thats a shame because it deserves better. Make sure you ride them about getting a room or you may not get one at all despite what they say about texting you when something is ready.
Maybe I had too high of expectations for this because of reviews and what I thought the technology would be like. The only good thing I experienced here was the beer. The selections for drinks are different than your usual but in a good way. The Tona beer was great and tasted like a Corona but better. Did not try the food but it looks like just small snacks. The very basic instruction you get was VERY BASIC. I mean not much suggestion or help really. We had a group of about 6 and we had to ask for help more than it was worth it because that time counts against the time you pay for to play the game. The system took forever to load games or would just freeze in the middle of a game. Unless we were not shown properly how to access more games there was only about 10 we could find and most had no purpose at all. The only ones with real purpose was like space shooting ones and they could have had way better graphics than what they did. The plank walker game is a cool experience to the whole VR thing but again no purpose so you just walk around a city or fly through the city basically doing nothing. It was cool to have a TV so you could see what the person playing could see.The signage for the place from the street is almost impossible to see as we drove past it twice. Other people from the group drove past it too. Parking is in the back and you do not have to pay for it.Sadly I do not think I will go back as I do not see it being worth it. I was expecting at least video games like we played as a kid or something more interactive. Great concept but just lacking in variety.
Where to begin. It was not what I expected. More like a quickly thrown together mashup of a hip-hop hole in the wall club and a vr bar. With no real sound proofing or way to separate the club from the vr booths patterns frequently would end up in the lanes of walking traffic mid vr experience.
Our team at work made a reservation weeks ago. The entire team left the office and drove an hour across town, only to discover upon arrival that our reservation was cancelled without notice. Apparently they got a better offer from someone else who rented out the venue. Remarkably unprofessional.
Really disrespectful when you consider that my whole company team had a reservation for today but we werecancelled at the last minute - with no notice- so some record label could have the whole venue. We all spent an hour drive here only to find all this out while were all sitting in the parking lot. Extremely unprofessional. Glad to see that that quality of your service is entirely dependent upon who throws the most money at you.
My friend DJs there Thursday nights so I was super excited to go when she said was a VR bar. When I walked in, I was blown away! Such a cool space and whats cooler than a virtual reality bar?? Its the future man! You gotta go. It was tricky to find the first time but I havent gotten lost since.
Let me start by saying that the atmosphere and drinks at this bar are good, but if I just want atmosphere and drinks, there are simply other bars I can go to. I have to admit, I had really high hopes for Revery because Id played VR games before. VR is an experience that is based on sensory immersion. The headsets are designed to completely transport you by changing what you see and hear the moment they come on. The problem we experienced is that the HTC Vive in the room (more of a booth really) we were assigned to for our hour did not have the built-in headphones that come on most VR headsets. The most popular VR game out right now is Beat Saber, a game that relies on rhythm and sound for a fun and successful play session. Attempting to play Beat Saber at a bar blasting its own music without the built-in headphones to at least attempt to block it out is worse than playing it with no volume. You are actually actively thrown off by the music playing around you, ruining the VR experience completely.Im not the type of person to complain directly to a business or demand my money back, but as far as Im concerned, Revery simply did not provide me with the experience my friends and I paid for. We paid for immersion and that is impossible if there is no sound. What bothered me even more is that some of the booths had headsets with the headphones on them, which means that youre basically rolling the dice on which youll get. I had been talking this place up to my friends (who had never tried VR before) for weeks and finally got a group together to go, but I definitely will not be recommending it further or coming back myself.
Fun little spot to hang out and play VR but be warned that you probably wont be able to hear anything from the VR headset in the evening because Revery essentially turns into a loud club. Also, prices are on the upper end so be prepared to bring friends to split the cost.

2021-12-11First thing I’ll say is the drinks were good … VR was fun once we finally got it calibrated and working …. The service was good … I had an issue with my tab and they fixed it immediately. If you start a tab make sure you check your receipt… they fixed it so all is well.. I would say if you want to do VR get there before 11 because after 11 it get crowded.. DJ was good , good mixture of music… I would go back but earlier so I can play more games .

2022-02-28Fun games and awesome drinks. My husband and I spent an hour here for a date night and would highly recommend. We were taken to our cubicle on time and did not have any issues with the VR system. The staff came to check on us periodically to make sure we were ok and also gave us tips on how to play the games if they saw us struggling.

2022-06-28I recently went to VR to experience the hype. I honestly had a good time until I asked a guy named Billy to make me a drink. He rudely told me that the drink was out with a attitude. I asked him to make me another drink since the other drink was out. He made it but off of one drink which was a tequila sunrise had me uncontrollably messed up to the point where it felt like he mixed my drink with brown and white or laced me. I should not have felt this way off one drink. However, the security was very respectful and made sure I made it to my car. I feel like if it was not for them I would be in a car wreck, deadly harm to myself or others and in jail right now. Besides that I would go back to see because the security made me feel safe and the music selection was decent.

2022-02-25If you are into virtual reality games then this is a pretty cool place. You have your sections blocked off where you are able to play serveral different VR games. The drinks are pretty good bit they could do better with serving a full menu. I guess since its a gaming place they only sell like appetizers. After a certain time it does become more of a club scene but they do let you know that on the website.

2021-10-10A lot of fun -- staff was very helpful and there were about 15-20 games (if I recall correctly) to choose from. Wife and I took turns playing. I dont know if they have multiplayer but the booths I saw only had one VR headset each.

2022-05-26What is the purpose of patting people down before entering the establishment, if you let people who are carrying in. The purpose of the pat down is to make sure you don’t have any weapons……. I had to leave early because someone in my party saw multiple people with guns. On top of that, there was one time the workers forgot about us because they didn’t get our number so we wasted about an hour of time with no extra play time or compensation. Get to the booth and only a few of the games were working. So in a nutshell it’s an alright place. Not very big to be having a live dj and what not but it’s cool. The security is a joke so keep your head on a swivel and eyes open since you are in midtown as well. Drinks are about $10 and no entrance fee.

2022-03-26Strange vibe. Bad DJ. He kept jumping eras and none of the crossfades blended. It’s like he was too young to distinguish between early 90s and early 2000s music, and he also kept playing what he wanted to hear. Lots of technical issues with the equipment, which tripled my wait time. The VR rooms are open so you can see when people are having issues and waiting for staff support.Pluses: good air circulation, good amount of seating if you want it (though we didn’t sit). Very inventive cocktail menu that’s on tap and reasonably priced for ATL.Might try it again right when they open.

2022-03-06Not as cool and as hip as we thought it would be. We arrived and were told there was an hour wait. We actually totally understood this and went to the bar to grab drinks and hang out. We were so early the dj wasnt there yet but they were playing cool chill lounge music. One of the bartenders was rude and one was really nice. The rude one didnt want to explain any of their specialty drinks to us when I asked what was in one of them. The nice one totally gave us a great recommendation from their menu. They have special cocktails that Im assuming might change up every now and then? And those are featured on a board hanging behind the bar, but it was hard to read which is why we wanted to ask for a bit more info. Drinks were HELLA pricey, like $11 each.As for the gaming -- we didnt get to play (we left early and went to a different bar instead) but we did walk around and watch others for a bit. The game rooms are completely open, so you can see right into any groups session. Take that as you will. The games are pretty basic: we saw a boxing style one, what looked like a zombie game, and fruit ninja. Theyre all AA games so probably a couple of actions to do but nothing intensive and basic graphics. I was kind of hoping the game selection would include a few Triple A titles too in the mix with the way the prices are set up for these rooms lol.Basically, imagine if you took the VR gaming demo spot from a Best Buy and moved it to a small club with led lights inside. That would be Revery!

2022-04-29Never got a chance to experience this establishment. Here’s the reason:On 04/28/2022 at approximately 11:50pm. After reviewing the website I found that I can call and make reservations. I was excited to call and make reservations for my girlfriend and I for the following Saturday. When I called, a girl answered and I instantly gave her my name and told her what I wanted to do. She simply said “they do not have reservations only walk ins” and then abruptly hung up, I wanted to obtain more information from her, but she didnt give me a chance, and I found that very rude and disrespectful from a place of business. My first impression and interaction made me change my date night ideas. Really wanted to check this spot out but I’ll find another VR bar in Atlanta.

2022-05-18Friday and Saturday are the best! The crowd is so diverse. Underground feel where everyone actually dances and mingles. No cover!
