I took a direct hit to my left eye. I called the office and specifically asked if there was an ophthalmologist on staff. I was told yes. They were very accommodating and fit me in almost immediately. When I got to the exam room, I saw a diploma for optometry . I asked the doctor about it and she verified that she was NOT an ophthalmologist. Thats a very important distinction. Again, they were very kind, but inaccurate. I thanked them and went to a different, correct Dr.
Dr. Kannan and her wonderful staff go the extra mile in helping find the right glasses that are suitable for me. You can tell that Dr. Kannan and her staff work well together and treat their customers with the utmost respect. Thanks for what Robins Eye Care has done for me!
We were asked to come in 20 mins early, (appointment was @3:30), and we still havent been seen, there is no paperwork or insurance for us to update. Its 4:00p.m. and still waiting. They could have at least had the courtesy to let us know they were behind schedule; why does the patient have to be the one to figure out whats going on.
Everything was very pleasant. They took time answering my questions. They explained everything to & gave me options so I could make the best decision for me. I have been going to Robins Eye Care for a few years. I have never been treated disrespectfully in any way. I highly recommend them!
Today was my first visit to Robins Eye Care on Margie Drive in Warner Robins. My visit was excellent, and everyone was very personable and interested in my eye care and health. Everyone is genuinely friendly and courteous to patients and make you feel special. They make a great Eye Care Team for their patients!
My daughter has been going there for a few years and so far every experience has been a good one. We enjoy the doctor. The staff is courteous and they try their best to accommodate on the schedule. With The pandemic, I know it has been hard but they remained helpful even offering a temporary pair of lenses when we had to wait on others to arrive. I hope it always stays good.
Today, I walked in for the very first time and it was a very pleasant experience. Excellent facility! Very professional and courteous. I thank all the staff and Dr. Kannan for the warm welcome and being so attentive. I would highly recommend this optician office to anyone.
Doctor was very nice. However, I felt like every one was in a rush to get me out of there. My insurance was supposed to cover the eye exam. However, they didnt want to take the time to call my insurance and make sure I was covered. So, I end up paying out of my packet. I think customer service needs a little more help. I called my insurance and Im covered. I guess I needed to do their job.
Would not recommend services here. Was the worst experience that I have ever experienced in all my years of being not only on the patient end but also in the healthcare provider services realm as well.Myself and my son were needing to get eyes checked and reached out to set appointment as new patients with Robins Eye Care. We were set appointments for 3:30pm & 4:00pm on a Friday after aprox. 3-4 weeks out. At the time of setting up the appointment my insurance information was provided to them upon request so that they could be prepared for my visit (pre-verification of eligibility and benefits...etc).While driving to appointment I called to inform we would be running about 15-20 min. late due to hitting object in road and having to pull over and check vehicle and was advised that it was fine (arrived at 3:55pm).Upon arrival the staff at the front all though friendly was quite obviously not well trained nor prepared for our visit. Our insurance had not been pre-verified all while staff from back was trying to rush through getting my sons eye exam completed even before anything was prepared up front. When the front staff realized there was an apparent problem in the system with my sons verification result I immediately tried to reach out to the insurance company to resolve. Meanwhile an assistant from the back came up with my sons chart advising there would be a high copay amount (even though preventative eye exams are covered in full) I asked where she came up with that figure and she advised that since they dont have anything to go by and needed to hurry because they were supposed to close soon that they would just bill the eye exam against my medical benefits. This immediately seemed wrong and made me and my husband feel uncomfortable, especially since my son is not even on my medical plan (only on my dental and vision).... so how can any of this make sense. I could tell the staff was very sketchy at this point and was told I needed to hang up with my insurance company and complete my eye exam I felt like I was being pulled two different directions. Trying to get the needed info for front staff (because insurance not pre-verified prior to visit) and being rushed to back from the staff in the back. Then out of nowhere feeling so confused on what to do a woman who appeared to be the optometrist herself came storming out and said she has shown more patience than she needed to and they needed to close at 5 and I needed to hurry up. I immediately advised my son and husband that we needed to leave and take our services elsewhere. Not only does nobody ever deserve to be treated as an inconvenience but on the grounds of strong ethics and integrity I refuse to be involved in any kind of fraudulent activity (such as filing a false claim against my medical benefits for an eye appointment unnecessarily).
A simple and thorough eye clinic. Staff is vey helpful. Dr. Kannan is funny but serious about taking of your eyes. Technician on premises. This is so retro, I like it.Pros: Staff polite and Eye Care is strong. Location convenient.Con: Some of the equipment looks dated. Only one doctor (but a good one) on site.Bottomline: Great Place to get your eye exam and glasses without the Big Lens Company phoniness. Give it a go.
Great experience at Robins Eye Care. Nice facility, friendly and professional staff. Dr. Kannan was very professional, friendly, thorough, and made my eye exam a very pleasant experience. Keep up the great work Robins Eye Care! I would recommend Robins Eye Care for your next eye exam!
I don’t think I can speak enough about, the doctor who took care of me. She made me feel so important. I’ve never had a Doctor Who made me feel like, I was home. Her care and concern was over the top. very friendly, but to the point. I’ve never had a doctor treat me like I was human like Dr Anitha Kanna did. So if you are looking for an eye doctor, we need to go see her. Best Eye care, and bedside manner, I have ever experienced. She’s friendly and amazing, and she don’t have to tell u she cares she show it. I truly cannot speak enough of this person. She’s the best
They are always friendly, attentive and experienced. I really like the eye doc, she has a great sense of humor and keeps it simple.Although I dont wear prescription glasses, the selection Ive seen looks to be a good assortment and of high quality.I enjoy going here and feel welcomed when I show up.
Had to make an unplanned visit today. Have an infection in my eye. Appointment made quickly, staff was very friendly and efficient, and doctor came into exam room very soon. Dr Kannon was very thorough in examination and explanation of my problem. She ordered meds via online to drug store and I was able to pick them up right away. She even said if I had any problem, she would see me right away. Very pleasant experience.
The atmosphere was pleasant. Each employee was respectful to each other. I personal received excellent customer service in all areas. I would highly recommend Robins Eye Care to anyone who needs a Vision Center. The location is easy to locate. The center is always clean. Each employee spoke softly and respectful to each other. THATS POWERFUL !!!!
It wasn’t their fault that the insurance company didn’t update my record online. However, they could have told me when I got there that I had to pay out of pocket instead of when it was time to be seen. I could have spent those 30 minutes on the phone with the insurance company to verify that I had insurance. Instead they wait until it was time for me to go back and not give me enough time to verify. Then as I finally got confirmation from the insurance company after being on hold for 18 minutes, they kicked me out telling me to reschedule my appointment. They also allowed another customer to harass me and my daughter about wearing a face mask. We had literally taken 1 step inside, and we were on the way to the counter to get her one when this other patient starts to berate us about her not having a mask. The employees said nothing to her, but it embarrassed my daughter so much that she started crying. Due to them treating me like a liar and allowing another patient to make my daughter cry, we will never be visiting Robins Eye Care again.
Dr. Cannon and her staff are simply the best. They are always professional and they get you in and out with the utmost efficiency. My family and I always go to REC, but one year I went to another eye doctor and I regretted it. My eyeglass prescription was poorly made and my contact prescription was a joke. I couldnt even use them. After that experience we decided to always use REC, even after we moved to Florida we drive to Warner Robins for all of our eye care needs.
Im impressed. I phoned on a Friday not expecting to get an appointment until one day the following week. No, they wanted me to come on in. Dr. Kansan and all staff that I met were kind and professional. Icing on the cake was that I didnt have to fill out a multitude of sheets, only two!
Awesome Service!!!I am a Hospice Survivor who was diagnosed with PTSD due to critical illnesses.Today, Sept. 20, 2021 is the first time this year that I actually left the house, and I would like to thank Stephanie at Robins Eye Care for her compassionate words of encouragement that made me feel safe. She really made me feel like someone cared.I called the center because I woke up with something floating around in my eye. Dr. Kanaan was so patient, encouraging, and took the time to explain what was going on.As long as Robins Eye Center is in operation, they will be my primary choice for eyecare!Thank all of you for sharing your professionalism, and hospitality during this season of my journey.
We love Robins Eyecare! Ive referred friends and family based on the years of great experiences weve had with the staff and Dr. Kannan. From the exam to eye wear selection and fitting and follow-through they are friendly, attentive and professional. The high tech retinal exam doesnt require dilation which is a real plus. Ive always been pleased with prescription accuracy and quality, too.
Brought my 15 yr old son for his first eye exam...and he needed glasses. I took him to Robins Eye Care after my own great experience about a year ago. Same exact treatment...first class. From the outstanding Doctor and staff and their professionalism and kindness, to the gentleman who put the glasses together and fitted him, and finally to the prices that cant be beat, Robins Eye Care is the best eye care center in middle GA by far and I highly recommend to anyone...family, friends, and public.
Had painful cyst like bump on bottom eyelid, Dr. Kannann say me immediately and prescribed cream. Staff is always courteous and professional. Dr. Kannan is extremely professional and kind! She makes you feel as if you were the only patient there, spending time and listening to concerns. Would highly recommend Dr. Kannan to Anyone!
We are very pleased with everything from start to finish at Robins Eye Care. The check-in staff is very easy going and kind, and Dr. Kannon has always been thorough and caring, helpful with changes and explaining things with patience. The confidence with which they offer eyewear selections put us at ease. Always a great experience!
Warning to do not use this office. While the Dr is good her front office staff is horrible. We have. Used this Dr for years but no more. I have been called three different times about my insurance. Apparently no one there can read or write. They cannot get it right. When I complained they told me to go elsewhere and hang up on me. Repeat to not go there
My family was patients at Robins for over nine years and received excellent service. Unfortunately the new staff that’s there now is very unprofessional, I even asked to speak to the manager and the customer service staff I spoke with refused to allow me to speak to the manager. Dr. Anita is awesome, but due to the unprofessional staff that’s there now I wouldn’t recommend this office.
My whole family goes to Robins eye care and I have only postive things to say... Dr. Kannan was very nice and thorough with our exams. The staff was nice and very helpful. I had been to 2 other eye doctors before finding Robins eye care and Im thankful I have found a great place. :)
Excellent service! Dr. Kannan uses the latest equipment for eye exams that eliminates the need for dilation! The office staff is extremely proficient and knowledgeable! While I was choosing my new frames Dr Kannon stayed with me to ensure the frames were not only the right size but look great! Best service ever!
Got in pretty quick. New machine to take a good picture of your eyes, so they wont have to be dilated and you dont have to sit and wait, which makes the visit much quicker. Thats the best thing!Everyone was friendly and professional as usual. Ill continue to go there.
Dr. Kannan skilled and knowledgeable doctor. Dr. Kannan does a very thorough eye exam and has helped me quite often over the years with different eye problems and questions. Dr. Kannan staff is very friendly and helpful. I have recommended people to Dr Kannan and I will continue recommend people to her.
Im always nervous going to the eye doctors only been wearing glasses for 2yrs. Robins Eye Care made it comfortable and less nervous. Although, today was the day to try contact lenses! I was able to get one out and back in within less than 10 mins. Now, tonight Im struggling to get them out taking an hour...lol. Each day will get better, I really need them to work I hate wearing glasses! I got this!👍
If You Are Looking for an Eye Doctor, look no futher🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟This is one of the best, pleasant professional Doctorsaid Office I have visited. I have been going here for years & do not plan on changing. Dr.Anitha Kannan is amazing. She explains things to me as well as the workers in the office. Everyone are so friendly. I love going to Dr. Anitha Kannan. She is the Best & I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed. I will also Post this recommendation on my neighborhood website that is connected to about 10 other neighborhoods as well as our neighborhood website that is just for our residents. I told my best friend about her & she scheduled her appointment the same day🤗Linda Arrington
I have gone to Robins Eye Care for several check ups in the past and have had great experiences! The staff is very friendly and caring, and what I like best is that they always go above and beyond for you when possible. They really do aim to please. I definitely recommend them!
Does not stand behind service. My wife had a complaint about the glare with her glasses and about floaters. They tried to charge a copay and use our medical insurance rather than just do a traditional eye dilation instead of using a machine. We have used other optometrists and had to have re-exams, but we’re never asked to use our medical insurance for that service. Sounds like double-dipping to me! After arguing the insurance issue, was met with a very poor attitude by the receptionist. Fortunately, we did receive a full refund for the glasses. I cannot give this business a good recommendation to anyone.
Ive been attending Robins Eye Care for several years. My prescription is a challenging one yet Dr Kannan always has me seeing clearly! I couldnt be happier with the eye care and I always find the staff helpful and friendly. I highly recommend a visit to Robins Eye Care.
Absolutely love these people. They are always friendly, fast, and professional. We were on our way out of state and my daughter lost her glasses. They took care of her and got her frames same day. I really appreciate how far out of their way theyll go for their customers. They also accept our Tri-Care Prime, for all the military families out there.
I appreciate the warm and kind atmosphere as well as the empathy the staff exhibits. I am terribly nearsighted, age has generously given me farsightedness, I also have astigmatism, & an unstable cornea... Dr. Kannan and her staff help me laugh, bring me a bit of joy, and help me to see. All of this is wonderful and I am very grateful.
Dr Anitha Kannan and her staff are excepional. She has been our families optometrist for over 10 years. They are very personable and provide the best optical services at the highest standard of excellence. We truly thank them for their outstanding service to their patients and our community. Steve W
I havent been going to Robins Eye Care very long but one thing that Ive noticed is that Ive had to wait a pretty long time to see the actually doctor when I go there. However, when you do see the doctor, she really takes her time and goes through everything with you which I appreciate. I personally think it makes up for the wait time.
I wished I had read the reviews first. The doctor was nice but her staff. RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE. Desperate for a pair of glasses as I broke my normal pair. After glasses did not come in by the time I was told, staff member told me I did not need to call as they would call me. Then I waited another two days and ended up calling again and was told oh yes theyve been here. Where was the phone call.Sign at front counter says BE NICE OR LEAVE Well Im going to take their advice and be like Jack and hit the road and I aint never coming back.
This place is a joke!!!! I took my daughter here and had her yearly eye exam. I was told that my daughters vision was ALMOST 20/20 and she was fine and didn’t really need glasses but she could try them if she wanted but yet my daughter complains that her vision is blurry and the dr tells me my daughter is lying about her vision being blurry. So after arguing with the dr she ended it with well I’ve been doing this for years.. well I got a second opinion come to find out my daughter is near sided and needed glasses. I would not recommend this lady to anybody. I only gave one star so I could write a review but I really give her zero stars.
Absolutely awful experience. Dr. Kannan prescribed me contacts that were the wrong size for my eyes - leading to months of pain, corneal ulcers, and boxes of contacts I can no longer use. Their services are very, very expensive and they charged a ton for poorly built glasses that are looking dingy and almost falling apart months later. I would never trust this place with my eyes again. BEWARE
2014 was my first time experience with Robins Eye Care and it was excellent. But, I had an unpleasant experience with scheduling my children much needed annual exam for 2015.Robins Eye Care staff schedule appointments based on the person insurance carrier. For example, I am insured with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia. Therefore, I can call during business hours and get the next available appointment. Whereas, if you are insured with any Medicaid programs; you have to call weekly to attempt to schedule an appointment. Its very heart breaking to know that my children weren’t seen by Robins Eye Care center for 2015 because of their insurance carrier. The Medicaid patients are second to the non-Medicaid patients. Therefore, if I have to be second to your services, I don’t want your services.
Ive been a patient here for over three years. They are always quick, I have never waited more than ten minutes to be seen by the doctor. I honestly dont even mind waiting, because the staff is so friendly. They all laugh and joke with me while I wait, I have never had a bad experience here.
Dont waste your time and MONEY!! -THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!Terrible Experience for me and my Husband! We were Both given INCORRECT PRESCRIPTIONS That made us BOTH DIZZY AND NAUSEOUS!! The Woman Optometrist would NOT Correct or Stand Behind their Service or Lack of Service!!They were too Busy with the 1 Girl that fits you for glasses to Help and there was a long wait and a lot of Excuses!! They had NO Descent Glasses .to Chose from. We Both had to Pay for Another Exam at a Different Eye Center to get the Correct Prescription that We should have Gotten at Robins Eye Care.. They should Re name it Robins We Dont Care Center!!
I had a wonderful experience with Robins Eye Care , the girls are so professional and kind , they took very good care of me today , and Dr Kannan was wonderful and so professional , I will tell all my friends and neighbors what a great safe place Robins Eye Care is and I will continue to see them for all my eye care needs 😚
This place will rip you off, the moment they knew I was trying to get my frames at a another place, they over charged my insurance so that I couldnt use my limit any ware else and then over charged me for contacts. She charged me more this time because I was not getting my glasses from them. I will never ever come back here again.Even other places stated that a lot of people stopped going there because of the same issue.

2022-08-29It was my first visit to Robins Eye Care, so I was asked to fill out new patient paper work. This was not a problem for me. In fact, I was expecting it. But as part of the paperwork, I was asked to sign a statement saying I received or was made available to me their privacy policy. I did not sign this statement, because to my knowledge I did not receive a copy of their privacy policy nor was it made available to me. I turned in my paper work. Later, the receptionist asked me to sign the privacy policy statement on the form. I told her the reason why I didnt sign it, and she told me that they would find their privacy policy for me. She informed another employee about my refusal to sign, and that person told me that the statement was right there on the form above where I was to sign. I told her that that was not their privacy policy, but their financial policy. Really, Robins Eye Care, this is part of your standard procedure for new patients and you dont even know what you are asking your patients to sign!!??!! Well, as it turns out, someone finally did find the privacy policy statement. It was laminated to the clipboard that was given to me. Okay, I was an idiot to have not notice it, I suppose, but it was underneath the two forms that I was asked to fill out, and who looks at the clipboard or anything laminated to it? Couldnt they have informed me, as part of the paperwork drill, to please read their privacy policy laminated to their clipboard? Oh wait, THEY didnt even know it was there. I will say, however, that the technicians who took the initial measurements of my eyes and Dr. Kannan were very professional. Although, I was surprise that I was not given the option of having my eyes dilated and photographed. I was just put in front of a special camera that took a wider view of my retinas. I hope that my insurance covers the entire cost of the visit (minus any co-pay). If not, I will be updating my review and giving Robins Eye Care a lower score. Stay tuned.

2022-09-08The staff and Dr. Kannan are ALWAYS professional and very pleasant. From the moment you walk in you feel comfortable, treated with respect, kindness and in an efficient manner. The exams run smooth and quickly, while Dr.K. answers ANY questions or concerns you may have, she explains everything in detail leaving one feeling informed and knowledgeable of the procedures that took place. I often recommend Robins Eye Care to friends.

2022-08-30I have been going to Dr Kanan for many years. She is very thorough and always ensures your questions are answered. The ladies at the front desk are very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Kanan also has a mask policy which I am grateful for. She has to spend all day in peoples faces and the fact she wants to keep everyone safe and healthy is appreciated. I would highly recommend to anyone!

2022-08-02My son came in to get an eye exam. On the day of the eye exam, I called Robins eye care and told them that he was a college student and just needed the eye exam and we would be coming back together to pick out glasses the next day. When we came back in the next day, the two employees seemed very busy and did not seem to have time to help us with anything. There were no other customers in the store that I could see. All I really wanted was to get a copy of Noah‘s eye exam results. We looked around at frames and did not see any to our liking. I asked the woman at the front desk several times for a copy of the results of my son’s eye exam. She seemed to have no idea how to perform this. Eventually, after several requests, she went to the back, printed out a document, and brought it back out to me. She would not allow me to have the copy that she printed out, so I asked her if I could see it for a minute, and I took a picture of it.After spending a good 35 minutes in the store without anyone able to help us, we decided to take the results of the eye exam and go elsewhere to look at glasses.Upon taking this prescription elsewhere, I was told that this prescription shows that my son is blind in one eye. That is absolutely not the case. At this point, I have zero confidence that this exam was done with any fidelity.I also had an eye appointment scheduled for August 2 for myself. I received a call during the day of August 1 asking me to call back and verify my appointment that I had made a month earlier. The call was made at 10 AM in the morning and the deadline given to me was 3 PM to return the call. As a high school teacher on the first day of school, this was an impossibility. Between the hours of eight and three, I barely have time to go to the restroom or even look at my phone, much less make a phone call. I did not get to listen to this voicemail until after 3 o’clock. Therefore, I assumed that the appointment I had been waiting a month for was being canceled. This seems rather extreme to me. I called this morning and left a message letting the employees know that many people are unable to return calls with such immediacy during their workday. I let them know that they could go ahead and cancel my eye exam and that I would not be back. I cannot express fully enough how displeased I was and am with my experience. I do not know the name of the woman who waited on us, but I do know that we attempted to speak to both employees and neither one seem to have time to work with us.

2022-08-17Warning ⚠️ Will not see you unless you wear a face mask! Absolutely absurd. No mention of this when I called to schedule an appointment. Upon appointment confirmation after I’ve had this scheduled for a while now, this is when they choose to mention their policy. Ridiculous, ineffective, and unnecessary. Canceled my appointment and look forward to being seen elsewhere. ✌🏻

2022-06-03Dr. Kannan is the best!!! If it wasn’t for her my torn retina probably would have gone unnoticed and I would have lost my eyesight. She made sure I was seen the same day by a retina specialist and thank goodness I was. He lasered the tear that day and I’m on to the healing process. Her staff is very friendly and helpful and very patient with me as I was trying to pick out a pair of glasses. I would recommend seeing her you won’t be disappointed.
