I had the best time tonight at RockNTaco! They had music Bingo (which I thought would be silly but was AWESOME!). We stayed through the end… SO. MUCH. FUN.😊… The food was really good. I had the Winner Winner Chicken dinner and my husband had the Brooklyn burrito. Both fantastic! Definitely give this place a shot if you’re in the area.
Food is sub par and overpriced, staff was overwhelmingly uncaring specially the younger manager with brown hair, very egotistical and condescending. Fruit flies in the drinks, not to mention the little amount of alcohol in the margaritas. Overall a terrible experience, change management and I guarantee things will turn around. Best thing about the place is the 3 doors you can use to exit the building.Edit: The owner’s response to my honest review just shows how unprofessional they are. Instead of assuming responsibility for the terrible experience, he/she/they go off on a tangent about some person’s fake ID? I think the owner is paranoid and is looking to shift blame and focus away from himself and his staff, at any cost. Accusing me of never being there? Stop acting like people have it out for you. Get your act together so your other patrons won’t have the same experience as I did.
The food was awesome. What was even better was the service. Our server name was Rome. He was beyond great! If you ever visit this place on a Friday,Saturday and or Sunday ask for Rome. With the food and one of the best servers I have ever had you cant go wrong with Mr. Rome.
Shhh! Dont tell anyone, but Rock N Taco in Roswell is a really fun night out when they have a live band on stage. Lets try to keep this to ourselves, since it already gets crowded enough on the dance floor - I dont need more of you coming to steal my space. ;)Oh, and the staff is amazing - I dont know how they keep it all straight and not spill anything with all of us dancers in their way. By the way, the food is pretty good too!Just a suggestion - maybe when the dancing gets busy they can move some of the tables away from the dance floor so more of us can join the fun.
I’ve tried this place twice and has bad experiences! They always forget food and orders, the Tacos are good. If you actually get what you ordered. For the money you pay, the service could be better. The first time, the hostess sat and flirted with some dude for ever while I waited for my pick up order .
I went to see a very popular and well known band at this establishment. Because of lighting issues the band started an hour late. The manager closed the show an hour early. Very unprofessional. This is not a live music venue. The stage is in the corner there are TVs playing everywhere and the local crowd is loud. It has more of sports bar or meat market feel. The food was ok and the service slow. Our server was great I just think he was over worked. I will not go here again.
I dislike posting negative reviews. Went here for an evening of music and tacos and left with a bad taste in my mouth. Management shut down the show of one of the best bands in Atlanta, called the cops, and started ripping their backdrop down before the drums could be struck. Very unprofessional. Food and beverages were OK. Service was slow due to the large crowd Shyanne brings in.
I’ve been on canton street for 5+ years so I’ve seen things change. This Thursday night I was walking down with a long time friend and went into rockin taco to get a Togo drink, usually that’s all I do and I leave within 10min, but this night I walked in and I wanted to stay as long as I could, our bartenders Jess and Lenny were so welcoming and cool, the band was magnificent, the first live band I’ve heard on this street that killed it, I was astonished that they were playing on a Thursday night, they are definitely the kind of performance that needs to play on the weekend, if Jess and Lenny continue to be there, and also whenever this chaos band plays I’ll definitely be back!!! Best night I’ve experienced on canton street, Thank You Rockin Taco!!
Best place in downtown Roswell! We’ve been so many times that we feel like we work there! “E”, one of the bartenders is amazing! The Sunday brunch will have you antique shopping for airplane propellers afterwards just to sober up(ask me how I know that), and try the crispy waffles with bananas… you won’t regret it! Drinks are strong like bull (toro forté) and the music and TV screens are everywhere! Biggest TV on Canton St! Love this place
Mixed feelings on this restaurant? Venue? Bar? Its got so many atmospheres its confusing. The food is middle of the road, feels like overpriced tacos. Its tasty, but its hard for me to justify $5 for a single taco, especially if I cant subout cilantro, so to get 3-4 tacos it would be $15-20, which just isnt worth it to me.The music is awesome! The patio is awesome! Service is middle of the road. You can tell some workers are working their butts off, and some are just checking the boxes. I empathise for the servers though, because Rock N Taco gets slammed any time theres an event in downtown Roswell, and they dont get enough praise/appreciation.All in all, great atmosphere, meh food, decent overall experience.
Wow they did an incredible job with this place it looks fantastic, the margaritas were awesome, the food was delicious & the service is top notch bartender was INCREDIBLE.The 80s band Denim Arcade they had there was unbelievable and kept us dancing all night. We have found our new favorite place!
Super fun idea! We showed up just in time to eat and watch the band. The tacos were great and the band and drinks even better! I dont know if Ive ever seen so many middle-aged people having such a good time. Probably a great place for single people to meet. Next time Im in town Ill be back.
Excellent location, high-end feel and a terrific vibe sets this establishment apart from others in ATL. Awesome sports bar to catch the big game or fight night. Tacos are large, delicious and filling with a good variety to choose from. Food and drink choices paired well. Fun spot!
I went here one night and had a decent time but only had drinks. Then just by chance we found ourselves at the brewery next door and ended up getting food from here the next day. I was happy with the taste of the food but all 5 of us, including my 3 year old daughter got super sick after having eaten here. It was her first time throwing up and it was horrible. I actually liked the Tacos but only the first time.
I do not recommend Rock N Taco!!!! First of all management is horrific. Instead of fixing a problem that they created, they want to. Call the police and make a huge ugly deal out of something again that their management created. I will never step foot in this place again. Food is okay. Service is okay. I wish the fire Marshall had stopped in tonight!!! Just saying.
Sadly I heard really good things about this place, and I bite into my burrito and a piece of hair slides out of my mouth, I asked the manager and owner for a refund I told him I would pay for my drinks but I still didn’t get a refund. Worst experience would not recommend.
Last night was my first time at the Rock N Taco Roswell. I came to enjoy the band Shyanne because Im a huge fan. I was extremely upset when all of a sudden the management stopped the Band from playing. Not a good move from a customer point of view, and as far as I could see, most of the customers felt the same way I did. There was a mass exodus when this happened. Shyanne is a class act and always puts on a memorable performance wherever they play. Rock N Taco needs to rethink their actions and invite them back for a do over. On a positive note, I will say the bar staff was excellent.
We were visiting Tennesse from Arizona to see family, and drove all the way from Chattanooga to see the band Shyanne for a memorable Saturday during our vacation. This band has an upstanding reputation for both quality and consideration for every venue weve seen them at in the past. The show was cut short due to some TV program coming on abruptly. This bar should take responsibility for their own lack of forethought, and both apologize to their consumers/band and not double schedule events in the future. Most customers were obviously there to see the band. Management was extremely rude and unprofessional about the music suddenly being cancelled, despite the fact that the issue originally arose from their inconsistency and no proper preparations for the nights events. We had never heard of your bar before, and came solely to see this band. If it wasnt for the Shyanne playing tonight, we probably would have never heard of this business otherwise. Dont hire bands if youre going to inproperly manage your events/cancel the acts for a late night TV show.
We sat on the patio for brunch and Bill was our server. He was awesome. Went inside to watch the game and Austin was our server. Also awesome. The food was great. Servers and hostess were attentive despite a full house for college football Saturday. Fun, lively atmosphere. Ill definitely be back.
Mediocre food and the fact that they do not know how to treat the entertainment, makes me never want to return. I have never seen management act tremendously UNPROFESSIONAL!! I feel so very sorry for any other band that has to deal with this lack of organization. Get your act together Rock N Taco!
We love this place! Amazing queso, amazing service, great drinks, & atmosphere! This go around we sat in the little nook off to the right when you walk in. It was more quiet & perfect for us with an infant. They were insanely busy but you couldn’t tell based on the service we received. Our server, Rome, was exceptional & extremely genuine. The food was great too!!
We went there on Saturday night! Our server was friendly and service was good but we got our bill wrong. They added all extras for every item! They are just few dollars totally but still putting them on our bill without us having them was too much. Other than that we had good time and food was good
Went here with my family Saturday night. Thought it would be a fun night for the family but boy was I wrong. The food was alright but the table next to us was swearing at the football game on the TV. When I asked them to please watch their language since I had an 8 year old daughter with us, they shouted WHO DEY and made my 8 year old cry. I will never eat at this place again.
Had an awesome experience today with our waiter, Rome. We came for the SEC championship and stayed for about 6 hours and he was great throughout the entire day. Super friendly, great food at a super reasonable price, and good vibes. This is my second time here and will definitely be back. One of the best spots in the ATL area.#RomeLikeTheCity
Cool and hip place to eat. I ordered the lobster tacos and they were delicious. I liked the atmosphere and location. Its next to Gate City Brewery so thats pretty convenient. Service was great and they were friendly. Our was very busy when we went, but we didnt wait very long on our food. I would definitely go back 👍
It was my first time here but it definitely won’t be the last!! With 80’s music playing this place is Awesome! The ambiance is great and the service was perfect! Our waiter Austin was wonderful, friendly, very helpful and attentive and it was only his first night!! I didn’t take any photos of my dinner because it was so good I ate it too fast.
I will absolutely come here again but ONLY for the food. Our server wasn’t very pleasant. She had an attitude the moment we sat down at the table. I’m not sure if she was having a rough day prior to our arrival but there was no need for her to be so rude to us. She slammed our food, debit cards, and drinks down on the table. Mind you we were very nice the entire visit even though she wasn’t very pleasant. She wore circled glasses and had black long hair. I will be returning for the food because it’s amazing. 10/10 on the food aspect but 2/10 on the server aspect! I never leave rude reviews but this needed to be said.
Tonight was the first time my friends and I went to Rock n Taco. We had a wonderful time. Austin was our waiter and he was very attentive to us. He did a Great job! I would ask for him in the future. The atmosphere was awesome and the food was fantastic. The best tacos I have had in a long time!
Service was good, atmosphere was decent, food was good but a little bit of a let down. Had the carne asada taco which was skimpy on the meat. Also had a buffalo chicken taco but was lacking in the buffalo flavor. My wife had the Carolina tacos which the meat was good but over kill on the BBQ sauce. Salsa sampler was really good, probably our favorite part of the meal.
9/10 for our server. They were great on a busy Saturday night. But never really checked on us. No refills on the fountain drink for the DD.0/5 for the food. It is the blandest food I have had in my life. I got the burrito and got the sensation of tomato while eating it but not much else. Im not a great cook but every burrito I have made myself is better than this one. Literally handed the server an untouched half of burrito to throw out along with the majority of a Santa Fe salad and he never asked a question about it.The steak quesadilla just tasted like American singles but extra chewy. The Winner Winner is half defrosted Tyson grilled chicken strips with some raw, unseasoned sides.Queso was that bland mild cheese dip you get by the tub at Kroger (Ole brand?). The spicy salsa of the salsa trio tastes like watered down Ketchup and Cayenne. Really cant recommend this place. The less spicy two have nothing of note be to said about them. The most flavorful thing we were served was the Sweet Baby Rays BBQ with the Winner Winner. Spend your money elsewhere.Manager did come out and offered $10 coupons to the table when we asked the server about the food quality. Not really ever planning on returning so we turned it down.We started off the night by being told we couldnt sit 5 on a patio that was seating 2 parties of 5+ on it, so I really should have seen this coming.
We went there today after our kids soccer game with a couple of other parents. The server was great helping us get an adult and kid table, he did a great job of coordinating it all and was super attentive and kept kids and adults drinks full. Drinks and food came out incredibly quick and the food was great. The first time we have been here and based on the great experience, it wont be the last. I highly recommend this place.
I went here for lunch on a slow day out of pure curiosity. The food was okay at best. The meat on my tacos were a little on the dry side (good thing I had a big ass cup of Coke). I decided to have plantains for dessert and they were very delicous and cooked to perfect. The gentleman that waited on me was nice aside from disappearing after dropping off my grub. Didnt see him again for about 40 mins until I was ready to leave.
Rock n tacos is one of my favorite places in all of Atlanta! They have live music several nights and they have indoor and outdoor seating! The music is awesome both live and the background music. The food is really good but what keeps me coming back is the friendly staff especially a bartender by the name of Jess shes got the best positive energy and greets all with a wonderful smile The best part of this restaurant is all of the rock and roll memorabilia and as a rock star I really appreciate it. They have a rock walk of stars inlaid in the floor, a Rolling Stones seating area and all sorts of great photos and incased displays of instruments. This is a not to miss when you were in Roswell just outside of Atlanta. Guaranteed good times for sure.
Jess, the bartender, is the most attentive, efficient I have seen. With a packed house & tables to serve, she remembered every order detail, accepted multiple orders with a smile & even made time to bus tables. She ran a tight ship. Don’t lose her! Jess is exceptional.
1920 Tavern is also fun nearby but I love Rock N Taco and the forever young atmosphere. Best live music for Live After Five events and some tasty Taco choices. Despite my opinion that some menu items are overpriced, I come here for the atmosphere, good service and great times. The whole bar was singing a younger fellow happy birthday in June 2020, and it felt like old times again... theres a surfboard signed by the red hot chilli peppers as you go in. And the place just oozes of YOLO, I dont give af, Im gonna live forever goodness.
Rock N Taco was a definite treat. They have a great selection of tacos, as well as other selections such as quesadillas, and other great Mexican fare.I tried 3 tacos, buffalo chicken, carne asada, and the lobster. She tried the quesadilla. Great choices, great food, and great service. Since this was my first time, I tried a dessert as well. The friend ice cream, which was coated in...fruity pebbles! A great tasting dessert.See the pics, will definitely be back.
***Updated review***Friends wanted to go and I was hesitant. A really neat thing happened—a kind bartender recognized me and apologized about a previous experience. That doesn’t happen everyday. I wanted to thank this bartender, your establishment for acknowledging reviews, and will definitely consider returning for dinner with friends to precede good times on Canton St ☺️
It was overall okay. Service once we got it was speedy but the food was just okay. Main problem: We were told the wait was an hour and 15. Come an hour and 30 late they tell us Yeah the chance of you being seated is about 50/50. So after about another 30 minutes we get a text and finally get seated. I get they were busy, but it just sucks to wait that long then be told I dunno, maybe youll get a seat because theyre busy. Ill give them another shot when theyre less busy and see how it goes.
Great live music experience and never a let down in a overall perspective. Great location to down town Roswell. Convenience to other bars in walking distance. Great bands and great adult ( grown folks) atmospherein most cases . Few places rival this live music atmosphere in the Atlanta area in my opinion. Good for dates or just to hang by yourself.
Our server was totally awesome and the atmosphere is super different and unique if youre bored of the typical scenery you get from most bars and casual restaurants in Roswell. Its a good balance between clean and out together, but still casual. Music videos playing on big screens around the bar and a great selection of tacos to order individually.
Visited on a holiday (July 4). Food was good but some of it took a really long time to come out, and everyone was done eating and we got our checks by the time 1 person got their food (they had ordered a burger). Not a fan of the mojito and a few people ordered it but they were all made very differently. Churros were delicious. Manager did give us free queso at the beginning because it took so long for someone to bring waters/see us. We were a big group and they were able to seat us right away. TVs are great for watching sports.
There’s so way to express how grateful I am and what a perfect first experience we had here tonight . It was our first time eating out after all the madness since early March and I am so glad we chose this place . We had the guacamole and salsa trio . Delicious and SO fresh . There’s a salsa for everyone’s taste buds . I had the Steak Fajitas and they were phenomenal . Kids meals were great and good portions . My husband had tacos and he said they were delicious . I had the rocker Margarita and he had the groupie . Thank you to the bartender . Those drinks were well made and delicious! I wish I got the hostess name as she was so friendly and kind to us . The wait was supposed to be 40 minutes with the social distance seating and we only waited ten minutes! They are really on top of keeping everything going smoothly and clean. Our server, was actually one of the owners , John, I believe he said . This is how you run a Successful business with people like him. He was so positive, fun, and caring . Really great service . He really is doing an outstanding job in these hard times . So grateful we had such a wonderful first experience as we have been dying to try this place! The atmospheres was awesome and so relaxing . They are super nice to kids here!! Music was awesome and really cool layout. Thank you so much again to every single staff member that made this happen tonight . Can not wait to come back . Please support this business! It will be well deserved!
I really enjoyed the food here. I got the Hulk (fried avocado taco) and the Tinga (marinated chicken). Both were delicious. We also got a margarita pitcher which was large and strong. The service was meh, but the food made up for it. 3 stars because I’m not a fan of rock. Other than that I’ll consider them one of the #bestTacosinAtlanta:
Our waitress was great... the bartender looked like they just crawled out of bed after a all night bender... food is absolutely horrible.. cannot believe they charge 3-4 dollars for cheap late night dollar tacos.. will never eat there again that’s for sure.. bar is great and the music is great. Just avoid the overpriced food
Every time I venture into Rock N Taco bartender Jess always takes the best care of me. She makes patrons like myself feel seen and acknowledged even when they’re busy at the other end of the bar. She is very knowledgeable in making recommendations and has lively personality!
OMG GO IMMEDIATELY! It was excellent service and such good food!! We sat outside in the sun and we had Kristen as our server, who was amazingly attentive to all four of our needs. And not to mention she was so knowledgeable. Everything she suggested was absolutely delicious, from the quesadillas (both steak and chicken were too good to share) to the churros and the Frieda ice cream. Do Not Leave There without getting the fried ice cream. I’ve had it a million times but something about Rock N Tacos was by far the best. It was a great atmosphere where they also have events with the garage up, and wine nights if that’s your scene. I am so glad my best friend and friends and I went there to eat, it was great. I’m definitely bringing back my boyfriend and sister soon! Thank you so much Kristen- you were the best server!! We all agreed that you need a raise! Definitely go if your nearby and hungry for something small, or big, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave smiling and wanting to come back!
Visited for the first time today and had a very pleasant experience. Sat at the bar and was served by Lisa. She was extremely attentive, efficient and knowledgeable. Beer selection is decent and food was very good. Quac was fresh and tasty, salsa all very good and tacos were abundant and delicious. I was even able to get the TV changed to the station of my choice. If you are looking for a great taco place in the Roswell area I highly recommend it.
Decent?Atmosphere was good and was seated quickly. Good selection of beer, liquor, and specialty drinks. Food was nothing special though, burrito was mushy, tacos were okay at best definitely not worth $5/per. The experience went from fair to questionable when an automatic tip of 22% was added to my bill, and then the receipt asked me to tip on top again. All without any explanation.
First time here. Brandon was our waiter and he suggest some homerun dishes. The pulled pork quesadilla was great, my wife had the brisket and pulled pork tacos and loved them as well. It was a beautiful day so having the doors open with the breeze made the experience even better. Nice decor and vibe throughout. Were not from the area but will definitely come back.
Our server Rome was fabulous. Food was great. We had the chips with 3 salsa appetizer and Queso (very good). We had the Mamacitas french toast on the brunch menu, chicken fajitas, Brooklyn burrito and the winner winner with the mildly sweet gingery chipotle sauce so good I got some to go. They offered is drinks to go and we took to go plates. We walked around the area of Canton st and it was peaceful even though there was a lot of people. Cant wait to try another cafe on Canton st downtown Roswell again soon.
First time going there and definitely wont be the last...Roman my sever was top shelf definitely great at making sure everyone is taken care of. Even made waiting in line fun with bringing drinks to people outside..Also he kept his area very clean and whipped down under the covid guidelines..The band was great and so was the food..
This weekend was my first time going to the Rock n Taco. I had a great time and the food was amazing. The best part of my experience was our waiter Rome. He was so awesome and provided the best service! They are so lucky to have him! Will definitely be going back and requesting Rome for sure!
This place is pretty badass for the live music lover! Although the stage is a bit small, the sound is incredible & the place is HUGE inside. The fact that you can experience the music from outside on the sidewalk is great, especially during the pandemic. And speaking of said pandemic & the few reviews that criticize Rock N Taco for the lack of “suggested” safety measures, remember this: It’s up to you to protect yourself. If you want to socially distance, you can do that here, outside, while listening to great music & drinking your drink.
Jessica and Kendall learned my name the first (crazy) Saturday I was there. No matter how wild and busy it is there on Friday and Saturday night and how many deep it is at the bar, as soon as either of them see me my Colors Light is on the bar, and always with a greeting, even if it has to almost yelled.Rome was fantastic when I was in with a date(!) this afternoon.
The service was horrible. The waiter made us wait an hour before taking our order. The table in front of us showed up 45 min after us and they received their order before the waiter even took our order. I would not come here again or recommend to any of my friends. The food is not worth the wait. I was very disappointed…
Bad service, a single waitress for 10-12 tables. It is assumed that if you refill your glass of juice she has to tell you that there is an extra charge which they do without notifying you and to end up in the midnight menu it comes with small letters that the 20% tip is already coming included. And still she asks me if I want my change?
I’ve never been disrespected more by a staff than I was in this place. Tried to order a beer and waited 30 minutes to get my ID back. The manager and waitress were EXTREMELY aggressive towards my group. Police had to get involved. I highly recommend anywhere else on Canton Street. Do NOT go here unless you want to be treated poorly and have horrific food.
Ever since Rock N Taco opened in Roswell, it has been our favorite bar. The bartenders are the best in the biz. Jess in particular is amazing. She crafts up the best drinks and always makes everyone feel welcome. Her energy and optimism is infectious as soon as you walk through the doors. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if one day while binge-watching Bar Rescue on a hungover Sunday morning, if I saw Jess on the show as one of Jon Taffers expert mixologists. Cherry on top of it all, she always accommodates my tv requests. Even when I want to watch a St. Bonaventure/Fordham game on a Saturday afternoon.
The hostess told us that she didn’t know if there was a table available that she was new and then we would have to wait for someone to return. After probably 10 minutes somebody finally came up to us and seated us and then 20 minutes later no one came to our table so we got up and left. Ridiculous.
Food isnt worth it. Atmosphere is nice, but too many TVs / too loud inside.Just not worth what they charge. Posting this mainly because what they did hosting a Music Festival recently was just reckless and a poor business decision --- dont give these people your business.
Some staff were quite friendly and on top of things; some staff were more interested in chatting with their friends rather than taking orders. Some tacos were pretty tasty; some were mostly cheese and lettuce. Decor and music were great; covid checks not so much. Great concept, but needs refinement.

2021-12-29My husband came here several months ago and enjoyed the brisket taco and a rum and coke at the bar. So today, I wanted to go there too, and off we went. What a fun place!! The service was lightening fast. We got some chips (served warm) with different types of salsa. I got shrimp quesadillas which were packed with flavor and melted cheese. My husband ordered the steak quesadillas that also had lots of flavor. Needless to say, we polished everything off! I do recommend this place and will be going back there soon.

2021-10-12This was my first time going to Rock N Taco Roswell. Saturday around 2:30 p.m. during game day was a good crowd. They have patio seating with a bar that can serve the person inside and outside. Food was good. Parking is is next to the restaurant and was $5. I did want a good cocktail so I ordered the Son of a Peacher Man which was $11. Unfortunately it tasted very watered down. The lobster taco and brisket taco were a hit! Queso with jalapeno & tortilla chips chips was okay. The jalapenos for some reason werent hot at all. Our waiter was very overwhelmed and never came to check on us after the food was delivered. I took him almost 20 minutes to bring it to us. That was quite disappointing. Overall I would have given it a 3 star but it wasnt a total bust of an experience so Ill give 4.

2022-06-07Loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and there were good choices for the kids. The TVs help entertain the kids and really helps bring a great atmosphere to the place. Food comes out fairly quick and the service was good. They have live music on weekends as well. I definitely would recommend this place for all types to enjoy.

2021-07-05I love Rock N Taco! Service is always friendly and their food is excellent. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Theres a $5 parking lot right next to the restaurant, or you can try to find free parking on the streets (good luck). If you love cheese, peppers, onions, and steak, I recommend the steak quesadillas- they are my favorite. They come with a small serving of the most delicious guacamole. Their beef taco salad is also really good. Generous portions- I always leave with leftovers.

2021-07-20The food and atmosphere here is Rock N but the service was AWFUL, or, I could say non-existent! He brought us our food and never returned until we received the check! We got the Chips & Salsa Trio and tried several of their different tacos: Carne Asada, Brisket, Calabash Shrimp & Tinga. I tried their Livin Da Vida Margarita and it was not too bad!

2022-02-13I come to Rock N Taco specifically for Jess and Kendall. They’re the best bartenders in Roswell and owning bars myself I know what makes a good bartender. The food is good, they have great entertainment as well. Hands down the best place to hang out and grab a drink and catch some live entertainment. Just make sure to ask for Jess and Kendall behind the bar.

2022-05-12I just wanted to give Rock N Taco a shout out for our fun night last night! We had a party of seven and Bridget (not sure on the spelling) handled it amazingly! All orders were correct and delicious. She really was working so hard to make sure everyone left happy! The food was delicious and we heard some great live music.
