I gave it 3 stars due to the fact it was clean. Wasnt my 5 star hotels. This is in back of the Epic Center. If you want rooms that can join an you have a bunch of children to go to six flags, or a quick one night over I was able to shower 🚿, The Towels were clean. Yes an it was close to family.
If I could give this hotel a negative rating, I would! Reserved hotels in advanced and were notified our check in was between 10 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attempted to call the hotel multiple times to let them know WAY before 10 that we wanted to make sure our reservation was still booked and got no answer! Attempted several times to call throughout our 6 hour trip only for us to get no answer! We showed up and get told our reservations were canceled because we did not confirm our reservations! We have an email as proof of confirmation! It is Labor Day weekend and now we are scrambling to get a room! Do not recommend!!!!!
Hello my name is jakia walker. I stayed there for 2 weeks. My 4 year old son was bitten by bed bugs. He has it all over his body. Also they be switching the price up every day. They go from 85 to 90 to 95 for what. The pool also broke my son out from the chlorine. They is a good hotel. I have pictures to prove that my son was bitten up by bed bugs.
The room itself was around a level of 3 stars. But the website boasts a free breakfast. From the layout of every other hotel on would expect this to be a variety of options including boiled eggs, fruits, cereals and.even a small number of hot items such as sausages and waffles. This place only had 2 high-sugar cereals, milk Little Debbies and coffee. It was, given what is the obvious industry standard, a rip off to those who were seeking a good breakfast. As for diabetics...this is a breakfast that seeks to ignore your needs. Healthy desires for the first meal? You wont find it here. They should not advertise free breakfast in an industry where the standard does so much more than cheap, heavy-sugared cereal. When something lso blatantly obvious is lacking I question everything that happens that is unseen...such as proper linen cleaning.
A/C was off when entered room. Felt >90 degrees and humid. Turned on and left for about an hour; returned with little effect (while eating Frosties as well). Had to keep running full blast all night to cool down room. Reached ~67 degrees by the morning. The A/C was putting cold air out as soon as turned on but couldnt make up for how hot management let it get. Heavily recommended A/C be left on (maybe just turned up when unoccupied) not only for guest comfort but also power efficiency and cost saving for the hotel.Front desk experience was... unconventional. Very distracted, though we were able to get checked in and communicate with persistance. The upgrade from classic motel style to indoor was nice. They had many postings for non-smoking, but there were still lingering smells. The room itself was nice as well as clean. Just hard to appreciate as hot as it was.Located close to six flags and an epicenter. Great value for price if room is made cool for guest arrival.
So for the price you cannot beat this place. The rooms are cozy and the beading is high quality. They have real cable and free wifi. The shower and toilet were in a water closet type with a pocket door. The shower was large enough for 3 people if you wanted that. This was also the only hotel with 10 miles of six flags that was allowing people to use the pool. Breakfast was coffee, juice, honey buns and cereal during to covid-19. All doors were locked except the front. One way in and one way out for security. The staff was super friendly! Id recommend this hotel to anyone and especially to six flags customers. You can walk there from the hotel in 6 minutes.
Well.. where to begin!! After a horrible experience at another downtown hotel we found ourselves here and I’m so glad we did!! The owner was so nice and for the price it was amazing.. warm comfortable and very inviting!! The pool was so relaxing!! We will definitely be back and will stay at the place every time!!
Bed bugs hotel smelled of cigarettes dirty sheets burn holes in bedding and in carpet staff was nice and very helpful but hotel in need of updating. Bed linen was dingy and need to be replaced, burn holes in mattress pad , sheets , blanket and bed spread. Would like to give more than one star but the bed bugs was a reason alone for 1 star 😰🤷♀️🙆🏽♀️
I took my daughter to Atlanta for her sweet sixteen birthday. She wanted to go to the Georgia aquarium and to six flags over Georgia. We stayed here as it was closest to 6 flags and had a good price. The walk from the hotel was very short and well worth no having to try to park. We didnt spend a lot of time in the room but it was clean except for the broken picture above the bed. The computer in the lobby didnt work to print off our tickets either but we worked it out. I would stay here again. But I would like it if they could restock the breakfast more as the first day we had no food there when we got up and the ones that were there were stale. The second day breakfast was much better.
I booked this hotel for my parents who could not stop commenting on how much they loved their stay. The location was great and in walking distance to many attractions. They loved their suite. I got a Face Time video of the room and it was beautiful. Very clean, loved the shower. They said the staff was polite and accommodating. Definitely worth it!
If youre looking for a five star keep looking, but if its a family day/weekend at Six Flags and your looking for a clean, convenient location with great staff at a great price, then look no further! The indoor pool was out of service, which was kind of a bummer, as that was the primary reason for our choice, but after all day at six flags, it turned out not to be such a big issue after all! The staff was awesome, the room was clean, and the bed was super comfortable! The Breakfast was not super, and not very well stocked by the time we came down at 8:30, but it was more than adequate. Definitely our new Six Flags Hotel!
I stay every time in this motel. i found everything new in the room and also at the front as well. they renovate the whole motel. it looks very beautiful then last time. and the rate is also cheaper compare the other motels and as per facilities. staff is same as last time very helpful, calm and responsive. breakfast was very good. i appreciate you guys to make my holidays wonderful. thanks a lot.
For the price and use this was ok. No elevator, bedding was not clean, bug stains on the wall. Refrigerator inoperable microwave old and stained. Also, there was a smell in the halls (old carpet, smoke). Luckily, it is walking distance to six flags and I was there all day so I wasn’t really in the room. I only used it to shower and sleep. The updates are minimal you can still tell it’s an old out dated hotel, but the price was on the cheap side so it served the purpose. Housekeeping staff very pleasant. Because of the atmosphere, I decided not to eat the breakfast.
For the price paid it was fine. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. The lobby smelled of smoke but there were people smoking outside front door. Appearance was dated outside inside looked good. The pool was cloudy. The bathroom shower mostly was dated but other than those it was a good experience. Staff wise check in was a breeze actually was able to check in at 10:00 instead of the 2:00, also was able to park for six flags without paying the $20 parking fee, approximately a city block walk. Breakfast was good we went after the first rush of people and at the end another rush came. Was unable to get someone to the desk due to the busy breakfast for checkout so had to leave key on desk by computer hoping they got it.
Im a choice employee so I try to stay at Choice properties whenever I can. This was the worst that Ive stayed at so far. The customer service at the front desk was not good at all. I stood in front of them for at least 20 seconds before they even said hi to me. The cleanliness of the room was also bad. The comforter had stains all over it so I brought it to the front desk to ask for a different one. The one she gave me was the very last one...and the hotel wasnt sold out...I was told that I had to bring the first one back to my room so that it was accounted for in housekeepings records. The second comforter was not only stained, but a peanut fell out of it and it had a nice big hole right in the middle of it. I went back to the desk and was told that I could see another room...the comforter in that one was clearly stained by pee. I looked for another place to stay for the weekend, but couldnt come up with anything and the front desk staff was no help. The wifi didnt work and neither did the computer at the business center so I couldnt look that way either. We slept very uncomfortably and with just the top sheet. Before leaving for the day, I left a note on the pile of bedding saying they were stained and asked to be changed. The place redeemed itself the second night when we walked in to an immaculate room. We felt comfortable in the room that night, but the customer service never really improved during our stay. The breakfast was limited, but was decent.
I have had my share of hotel stays and this hotel did not meet any of my expectations. The hotel staff was very rude to another guest in my presence. The room was extremely small including the bathroom which has a pocket door. However I was impressed with the size and water pressure in the shower. The pool was very filthy with a film over the top and the filter not in use. Food was okay. They did provide the minimal continental breakfast with 2 cereals, 2 juices and mini donuts. Biscuits, eggs and sausage was an unexpected surprise. The biggest issue was with the parking or lack thereof. Charging theme park goers $5 to park and not having any parking for your paying hotel guests was ridiculous in my opinion. I know there are better places to stay. I will not be staying at this hotel again. I recommend you keep looking.
Positives: Staff was very courteous and helpful. Answered all my questions about the area, responded quickly to issues I had. Room was very neat and clean (except for the hair found on one of the washcloths, but I know the housekeepers cant inspect every towel/washcloth that closely after every wash). Room could use a good paint job (mainly bathroom and ceiling…which was missing a huge patch of paint right inside the door), but this didn’t take away from the cleanliness or comfort of the room. Breakfast was decent (never expect a gourmet breakfast that’s free anyway). Great location being within walking distance to Six Flags.Negatives: The walls are PAPER THIN. You will be able to hear every conversation in all surrounding rooms, especially the adjoining room and hallway. I had to complain to the front desk both nights because the guests in the adjoining room (different guests each night) were being so loud at midnight. The clerk handled it immediately both times. The air conditioner is good about drowning out most noise, but the times that it cycles off, you will hear everything.Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again (but will bring ear plugs to sleep in next time).
The only upside to this place is that the front desk guy was nice and the bedroom linen was up to date. The downside is that this place reaks of various odors including a stench of weed. The shower was also not clean as well. Then my check out was delayed until the front desk clerk verified that I didnt smoke in the room. Ive been in hotels my entire life and have experienced this! . I was only here for one night but would not stay here again.
Walking distance to six flags was the main selling point, Hotel staff was helpful and friendly. We arrived early, 11:30am, on our checkin day and was just going to park and head to six flags. The manager/desk clerk said he had a room available and let us check in. It was great to get settled before we went to six flags rather than when we got back exhausted. The lobby is a little old and the hallways, but the rooms were good. Because there are smoking rooms there is a smell of smoke in the lobby and hallways. But our non-smoking room was fine.I prefer an outside pool instead of inside because of the smell. But probably good in the winter. If i go to six flags again I would probably stay there for the convience.
We have been staying at this location every time we come to Six Flags over GA and it has its ups and downs this time was really good only thing is the pool was closed and had been for almost a year from what we can tell. If you wand a half way decent breakfast then you should bring one or go out to eat. I know what a continental breakfast is but what we were offered was so substandard. 2 kinds of sweet cereal 1 kind of little Debbie cake toast choice of coffee, hot tea, apple juice or orange juice but the rooms were clean staff very good and the price of the room was great we will be coming back soon and I hope that the pool is open and the food selection is better.
Room was nice but staff was not friendly. Room was clean. Beds were nice and comfortable. The staff was not accommodating. The breakfast was pretty good with a lot of variety. The pool was nice and warm. My kids enjoyed the pool. There should have been an alternate door to enter and exit besides through the lobby door to come and go to the rooms.
This hotel is walking distance to Six Flags. Outside is dated, but our room was very nice. Immaculate and comfortable. Great beds and shower. Breakfast was mostly cold stuff, but had sausage and biscuits. Kids loved the powdered doughnuts and bite size cinnamon rolls! This is an older property, but rooms are nice and quiet.
I was concerned about staying here because of the other reviews, even though we have been staying at this hotel back when it was Sleep Inn apx 6 yrs but after getting to the hotel and checking in, then seeing our rooms I was very pleased. The only thing that could have been better is that the pool had been open the breakfast choices need to be larger and I didnt have to chase down my refund on my room deposit. Other than this we look forward to our next stay, which will be soon.
The lobby is hot when we arrived. The front desk only had one person working and another person would look out from office and see a line waiting but did nothing to help. The shower had hair from every guest that ever stayed at hotel and dried soap on walls, not soap scum but dried soap. A previous guest left their gum on top of the shower door. When we checked out the next day, no one was at the front desk. I waited 10 minutes for someone to arrive. I had to call the hotel and let the phone ring 22 times before someone came. This hotel is not run very well. It should not be a Choice Hotel.
So I have to be honest Im giving this place three stars because of the person that was working on the third shift when I checked in his attitude his total demeanor of Personality with me was awful just completely sucked I even made a formal complaint with Choice Hotels over this person the people that were there in the morning... were cordial. Thats the best that I can say. But, my room was amazing!! I was really impressed for what I spent but, you just got to get to the damn room.. lol
Our room was clam with a few cosmetic issues (examples: cigarette burn holes in comforter and duct tape on the AC unit and TV remote). Staff was friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast was better than expected. The location is excellent to the park and well worth walking. The hallway is in seeps need of attention. We would consider staying again bye hope there are some renovation plans soon.
Quinn was wonderful throughout the process from booking to check out. She was great all weekend at keeping other teenage guests quiet in the hall ways. Some minor things in the room needed repair and the AC wasnt cold enough for the way we like to sleep, but that was not a big deal. The location is awesome for going to six flags, as we were able to walk there. Breakfast could stay available a little later in my opinion, especially with a 11 am check out. Overall very pleased with the accommodations.
We travel 200 miles one way 2-3 time a year to visit six flags park and this is our preferred hotel. we have stayed at all but two with in walking distance of the park and this one is our place to stay. for the value, comfort, and security. I dont think it can be beat. the staff are kind, the rooms are good. the food simple but fresh. although the pool was not open this time. we still had a really good experience. and we look forward to our next stay.
The facility is a little worn but very clean. they have the absolutely best staff. From the first person you see at the desk to the cleaning crew absolutely the friendliest. Ive stayed here multiple times while going to 6 flags and its literally less than a 5 min walk to park entrance. I recommend to all my friends and family.
This place needs a major upgrading. Bathroom is too small. Room was too small. Beds were horrible burnt with cigarettes. Floors were disgusting. Hallways felt suffocating due to lack of air. Cleaning looks like it is half done with dirt behind the beds. Phones don’t work properly. Some of the lighting was not working.
The rooms have obviously been recently redecorated but major problems were over looked. The pillows were old and lumpy. The toilet in the room was not screwed into the floor causing it to shift and wobble, the sink faucet is so short it was almost useless. The lights through out the room were dim or not working. The room was tidy but nothing felt clean or fresh. The rest of the hotel looked as though it had not been kept up. The breakfast selection was slim and the medicine vending machine was completely empty. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and up beat. They made everyone in my party smile.
Rooms could use a good deep cleaning. Def dirty feeling. No screen in 1st floor window. Light in shower missing half its cover (exposed bulb). Doors are LOUD. L-O-U-D. Heard them slamming all night. They did have smoking rooms, which is a rarity. Indoor pool looked well kept & clean, from passing by it. Coffee at breakfast was REALLY good, best coffee Ive had in awhile actually (cups are TEENY TINY tho! Bring your own!). Breakfast area was clean & well kept. If youre looking for a smoking room on a short stay for cheap, this is your place. Not a bad are either, surely better than downtown.
When we booked the hotel we didnt know what to expect... But when we checked in late in the evening we were greeted by a very friendly staff... Thebproperty is newly renovated and well maintained... 24x7 coffee in the lounge makes up for the lack of a coffee maker in the room. Comfortable mattresses ensured that we had a good nights sleep after a fun day at the park... That was also another reason for a 5 star rating since its so close to the park entrance... (I think it might be closer than parking in the Six Flags parking lot)... My boys thoroughly enjoyed their stay... Free breakfast and free WiFi... Great value for money!!!
I booked this hotel because of its close proximity to Six Flags, but after I arrived I wish I hadnt. To begin with, Its in a very sketchy area of Atlanta and I was nervous to even stay. The hotel has a very strange smell and the breakfast area could use some updating. Our room had been slightly updated but it was tiny. The pictures online make it look much better than it was in person. We had double beds...clean sheets and no sign of bed bugs but our sheets did have what looked like cigarette burns. I would never stay at this hotel again. Im only giving it 2 stars because I didnt have to pay for parking to go to the theme park.
Very quiet and relaxing and Clean room The Staff was friendly. We had a wonderful time. Easy access to I-20 East/West. 10 Minutes from Downtown Atlanta and also City of Douglasville, There were plenty of restaurants and shopping, this is the best and most friendly place to stay. Walking distance from Six Flags and it is nice safe to walk. We will always stay here..
This is our preferred hotel to stay at when we come to Six Flags we usually stay 2 nights each time with 2 room and stay 3-4 times a year. how ever this stay was not what we are use to. because our rooms should have been ready at check in time 2pm but was not ready until 4pm. I understand that when a hotel is this goo at the most affordable price that it usually is, that it will be full and when you have 2 rooms on the same stay you may have them not side by side, perhaps just down from each other. well this was not the case as they were on separate floors. this is very inconveniate. how ever this is still my place to stay one not so great stay will not cause us to go somewhere else. so maybe next time it will be better.. lets hope.
We have no complaint! This hotel is clean and has great staff, its just a quick walk from Six Flags. It also has a great breakfast. We paid $155 for 2 nights during the weekend for fright fest! So if you want a great hotel at a great price close to Six Flags this is perfect!!
Newly Renovated - Great value for money... close proximity to Six Flags and best of all it has a very friendly and helpful staff and management. We had a power outage during our stay and while it was not something they could control they were out there to ensure that the customers were not worried (it was late at night and it was an area wide power outage)
Horrible experience: rooms way to small for the price and not comfortable at all.. our non smoking room smelled so bad, told the guy at the desk I didnt need to climb stairs due to a broken back and he still put us up stairs n said he would help us.. haha he never came from behind the counter. The chair in our room looked like a dog chewed the arm of it up. The refrigerator took all night to get cool...pool area was so hot you couldnt breath. Just a horrible experience never again will I stay at this hotel
Do not listen to all the negative comments!!!! This place is what it is, a $68 motel. It is clean and very close to six flags. Only negative thing I can say is bring your own pillow, these suck.. lol Oh yeah, the breakfast is minimal but still good enough for most. But the closest place that offers hot breakfast cost $30 more and the rooms are pretty close. To me it was not worth an additional $30 for some scrambled eggs and sausage. JUST SAYING!!! THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
My room smelled awful. I went and bought air freshener and that did not help. My room was by the pool so I thought t was just my room. However the hall smelled like cigarette smoke on a non- smoking floor. A friend also stayed in the hotel and her room smelled awful too, but it was not the same smell as my room. I will not stay here again. I got the room at a great price, I will pay for quality next time. I knew I could not get a refund but I did try to find another hotel close with availability.
The hotel smelled like smoke duration of visit. Had to spray non-smoking room with disinfectant spray upon arrival in attempts to remove smoke smell. Room was not clean. Carpet was dirty, shower was filthy, sheet on one of beds had to be changed the same night of the stay. Even the curtains were dirty. Would have stayed somewhere else if hotel had not charged me for the entire stay upon arrival. Continental breakfast had very limited items. Even the wifi signal kept dropping. Asked for extra blanket and was told that they did not have any. Please do not stay at this hotel. Hotel does not reflect the reputation of Choice Hotels. Please remove this hotel from Choice Hotels.
Really clean room. No problems checking or out...was even able to check in a little early. Breakfast wasnt great. If youre a breakfast eater probably better off going out. If your like me and dont eat it very much then it was okay. Pool was good and clean. Overall great stay especially for the price.
I am not one to complain much but thsi room was so nasty. I felt so uncomfortable. I was excited when I saw it was walking distance from six flags thinking i found my futute vacation spot but I would rather drive from a better hotel. The blankets were disguting. I called the front desk for another only to be told about the i inch hole in the blanket thst the desk ordered new ones and they just never came.
Only thing good about this Motel (It shouldnt even be considered as a Hotel) is that is close to Six Flags......THATS IT! From nasty dirty bedding to dirty floors to roaches in the bathroom to the stale breakfast (honeybuns, muffins, light bread, butter and horrible coffee) to the rude staff that dont want to give enough towels and wash cloths for everyone in the room. This place is truly HORRIBLE! I travel alot and I will tell you there are some Motel 6 and Super 8s thats better than this motel. I had 4 rooms and Im glad we only stayed one night. If I could have got my money back we wouldnt have stayed at all. Go somewhere else please take heed to my warning unless you just like ran down places like this. No working computer. No pool. Unprotected weak Wifi so anyone can steal your information off your phone.
The stay wasnt totally pleasant but it wasnt bad either. The air conditioning unit in the room was something that crawled out of 1953 leaked water all over the floor around it in the room. The air was stale in the room as well. But the highlights were the staff was friendly, they had an indoor pool, and free breakfast in the morning. So all in all ok for the stay, but it does need some renovations.
Hotel overall was dirty. Stains on carpets, pictures on line do not depict actual room, air conditioner barely cooled room, hotel had a weird smell, only one light worked in room, and glad we brought our own sheets! Will never return. Ever!! By far the dirtiest hotel Ive ever stayed in. If we wouldnt have been so exhausted from a day at six flags would have stayed elsewhere.
Overall great place to come and stay a night or if your choosing. This is a beautiful new building in the heart of Atlanta. The communication with the property management was very prompt. Unfortunately we were not here for a vacation. We were visiting an Aunt who was in hospice. Under the circumstances this was a wonderful place to come home to after long hard days. It did feel like home.
Place was well kept enough. There is a charge for more than 2 people per room so be aware. Everything worked fine, but something seemed a little off. Definitely walkable to Six Flags if thats where youre goin. Might be worth spending a bit more on another place if youre going to be using the hotel a lot.
Despite correcting the clerk at checkin when he asked if I was staying two nights, (I was only staying one) he failed to change that in his system and I found out later that I was charged for both nights. I called to speak with the manager who wasnt in at the time and clerk said hed relay my message and have the manager get back with me. He also threw in that they could review video footage and if I had indeed left, they would move forward from there. I let him know that his footage would show that I had only stayed the one night and even offered to provide a receipt from another Choice property showing that I was in another state by that second night. After two business days and no return call, I tried back and the clerk said the manager wasnt in yet but that he had discussed it with him and that I was not entitled to a refund for the second night. I let him know that I understood that it was discussed between the two of them but that I still wanted to speak to the manager directly. Again I was promised a return phone call that never came to light. I called a third time and was told again that the manager was not in...I didnt bother asking for a return call. This is extremely frustrating! I travel a lot and have worked behind that same counter for ten years checking guests in and out, and appreciated it when guests provided us with the opportunity to fix a problem on the property level. More often than not, guests wait to complain to corporate, never providing the property the opportunity to rectify issues in-house. I have tried three times to address this on a property level so as to avoid a bad review, but being ignored has forced me to write this. Communication with guests at this establishment could definitely stand to improve and in the meantime, Id like a refund for the night I did not stay.
The hotel is run down, there was markings on our walls, chipped paint on the walls, mold growing on the bathroom doors. Our phone in our room didnt work, the one front desk person Doris all she cared about was being outside smoking. For that matter it was rare to find the front desk being manned, you almost always had to hunt for the person. The rooms were damp, for some reason which made everything in the room damp. Lastly no where on the website does it say the room doesnt come with a shower/tub combo but beware every single room only has a standing shower. The indoor pool as a former lifeguard made me want to puke, no air flow whatsoever in there and the pool is extremely cloudy, can barley see the bottom of the pool. Yes being next to six flags is great but Id rather pay to park and stay in a more decent hotel.
Customer service was superb. Very accommodating and kind. Room was decent. The bathroom was our only issue. Black mold all over the walls, light switch was malfunctioning, and shower door was broken. The a/c worked great, nice comfy bed, breakfast was decent. The wifi was not good at all though. Yikes was it sluggish. Overall, a good experience though.
This hotel is old and not well kept. It is used more as a extended stay. There are kids getting on the bus from this location. The surrounding area is not a safe area. The non-smoking room that we stayed in was obviously used by smokers as it smelled of cigarettes. They have portable AC units in the hallways. The Halls are musty smelling and there are stains on the floors.
I expected more from this hotel being that it is right next to the hotel! We left out state because of Hurricane Matthew & had to book very quickly. I ended up getting a smoking room whicj was horrible. However, we were comfortable. They just need to upgrade the rooms. All the staff except for one person ws very nice.
The room I was given was Horrible. It did not meet my expectation at all. This is the second time I have stayed at a Sleep in property. The décor is up to date, however it smelled of Mildew/Mold. It appeared to have been painted over. The smell was so strong in the bathroom, I couldnt use it and as a result I am sick. I was not pleased with my stay at all! Dont stay at this location, its not the best.
Lobby smelled skunky on arrival, room smelled ok though. You could tell the hotel was old. Contrary to other reviews I didnt not see any bugs of any kind. AC was dirty & looked nasty but worked. Breakfast was ok, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, bagels, muffins, mini donuts, instant oatmeal/grits, the buscuits, sausage, & egg patties were heated up in microwave then placed in covered buffet with no warmer so they were luke warm at best. Staff was friendly & polite, pool looked & smelled clean but we didnt try it out this time. May or may not stay again.
Stayed here for a Conference next door. Not a good choice! The walkway to the conference was blocked by a fence and not accessible. Cleanliness was an issue. Walls in the room were dirty and stained. Bedspread was stained and had something crusted on it. The non-smoking-room smelled of cigarette smoke. several stains in the carpet in the room. I will not be back!
Our first eoom had a toilet issue, the chair had holes and was gross, the front desk guy came us to our room to argue with my husband about a toilet problem. Second room was a sauna when we entered but looked to be a bit more updated than the last. The pool was out of service. The breakfast was a joke cereal, toast or junk snacks, no fruit, hot food or anything healthy at all!! Very disappointed.
Did not stay, but saw enough to know we didnt want to. Mold the size of a beach ball in the lobby. Entire place smelled like a cigarette mixed with incense. Room smelled like an ashtray. Didnt even get in the door before it got me in the face and I said to my wife: ”NO WAY. Ill load the car back up, but we arent staying here.” The Hampton Inn 1 exit down I-20 West saved us and was nice. Did give 2 stars because the guy working the desk was nice. Very disappointing overall for a sleep inn.
Good news is it is cheap and within walking distance of Six Flags. Bad news is the bottom floor smells like marijuana, the breakfast is very limited, the indoor pool was closed, it took as 1.5 hours to check-in and get into the room we reserved online, and my brother got some kind of bites on his legs from sleep in the bed. This place needs lots of improvement.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights their hot breakfast is only hot biscuit sausage and eggs they have very limited breakfast options so if you are staying more than a few nights you might want to venture out of the hotel for breakfast. The pool is heated and indoors which is nice the first night there was too much chlorine but by the last night was perfect for swimming the staff was very courteous and accommodating. all in all everything was worth to stay except for a crack in the ceiling with hanging plaster and the chair for the desk was broken I do recommend this at a low price and if you are staying close to Six Flags or anywhere else in Atlanta and saving money I would suggest to stay here I have seen nicer hotels but I have definitely seen a lot worse.
The hotels is within walking distance to six flags. The hotel has an indoor pool, which is advertised, however was inoperable all three days of our stay. There is a smell to the hotel and the breakfast bar leaves much to the imagination. But if your primary reason is to be away from the hotel at six flags and to sleep only it is in a great location. This is my fifth stay at this hotel and by far my least memorable of all the experiences.
The overall rate would be average due to this hotel had no elevators; but , it was within walking distance of Six Flags. The staff was nice and friendly. The only problem for our family was no elevators. So, if we were to stay again I will request a room on the first floor.
The Hotel was a nice Hotel and seem to be ran efficiently. My main problem was the early hours of the breakfast bar. We went down to the lobby at 9:35 am (which is pretty early if u ask me) and there was no breakfast, the hotel staff informed me that it was offered from 6:30 to 9:30 on the weekends. I paid a much more than I usually do by staying at this Sleep INN - but I did not feel that I got a good value due to the horrible weekend breakfast hours that did not accommodate weekend travelers.
Would not let my dog stay there. The staff could not have been less helpful, they could barely speak English and could not help us with something as simple as a clean towel or a comforter that did not have stains all over it. The toilet would not flush with just one pull and the lid was broken on top of that. The room smelt like I had climbed in an ashtray to sleep and was as dirty as one too.
The hotel was very dirty and our room smelled like Mildew. All the furniture and carpet was old dirty and worn out. I paid way to much for the room I was given. Bathroom had mildew and toilet paper holder was broken not replaced. no coffee in room but they had supplies to put in coffee. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
The hotel is very convenient to Six Flags. Walk is not much further than from the Six Flags east parking lot. Good value for the money. Rooms are clean, however we discovered ants in the corner of the room and on our luggage upon checking out. Hallways are a little musty (too much wet traffic from the indoor pool?) . The free breakfast is average, with only a few choices. Breakfast dining area is a little short on table & chair space to accomodate more than 15 people at a time. Overall, if youre just spending a night or two while visiting Six Flags, cant beat the price and convenience.
This hotel is very dated. All of the ammenities and decor were torn/worn. There were what appeared to be cigarette burns in my sheets. The beds were uncomfortable, and the rooms were muggy and dingy. Wi-Fi did not work. Staff and breakfast were adequate. I do not recommend.
My room was very clean and staff was exceptionally polite and very responsive. If you do experience an issue during your stay, let the front desk know and they will handle it! Wifi was a little spotty, but I wasnt there to be on my computer or phone so it was fine for me.
PLEASE DONT STAY HERE!!!My boyfriend and I had to wait in the lobby about 30 mins before we could check in because the something was wrong with there computers and I noticed the odor in the lobby. As we were sitting there the housekeeping lady walked by with a long cart full of stinking trash (through the lobby)!!! The guest should not see the housekeeper emptying trash. Stairs, no elevator so we had to tote our luggage. The hallway on the 2nd floor is FILTHY!!! Stain are everywhere in the carpet up and down the hallway and the odor is awful. There was also a small space heater in the middle of the hallway (but its summer). The room itself smelled God awful and there were stains on the sheets. I will never sleep at this or any other sleep inn again. Breakfast was so so...
Its inside which is nice. The main thing I think of to distinguish a hotel from a motel is that a hotel is inside and a motel is outside, and though this is inside it feels like a motel in most other respects. It doesnt have an elevator, the only hallway restroom I noticed was employees only, and the staff is neither rude nor friendly. Its basically what you might expect if you stay at a motel in my opinion, but its inside.
We were pleased with our recent stay except for the double beds. A little too small for grown adults. My husband & I have a king bed at home and felt we were on top of each and didnt sleep well. Would had been better with queen beds. We had 2 double beds because our boys were with us too.
Walking distance to Six Flags. Hallways were dimly lit and carpet was dirty. Room had a very weird smell. Never could figure out what it was. Maybe mildew but wasnt sure.Faucet in room would not shut off completely. Breakfast was very lacking. Almost no food out on counter and over an hour and a half left til breakfast was over. Tiny breakfast area. No fruit. No waffles. Not what we were used to by Sleep Inn.
The hotel is aging, needs a thorough cleaning. The hallway floors had spilled food on them every day. The toilet seat and cover were old, worn, stained and damaged. The walls of the bathroom were dirty and it looked like dirt or mold in the corner of the shower by the door.
The room was clean but a little bit small. The shower worked well but the bathroom was very small and there werent enough towels for 4 people. The ice machine was broken. The breakfast was spartan and several items had run out so I had to ask for refills of the bread and milk. These were all minor inconveniences perhaps to be expected for a hotel of this price.
Great, Great, Great location if you are looking to visit Six Flags, it is walking distance. If you choose to stay here please make sure you have food as a backup in case you get to breakfast like we did and there was nothing there except the juice machine and coffee. I did see housekeeping warming another couple up a sausage and biscuit in the back.Room wise make sure to check and make sure it was cleaned. Overall, we only spent the time in the hotel to sleep, so I would stay here again with my children if we were to visit Six Flags.
The location of this hotel is really convenient. However, with that being said, its my observation that the management takes this key factor for granted and does not take care of his hotel. I am a smoker. The room I was given was so overpowering with the stench of cigarettes, I couldnt take it. The hallways were hot and mildewy-feeling. Breakfast was a typical continental. Sixflags and the in-door pool close at the same time so let the kiddies know ahead of time to make a choice.
We checked into our hotel room, left the building to go to six flags, upon returning our hotel room door was wide open and the air conditioner had been turned off, so it was very hot by the time we returned too.. apparently it was not communicated to housekeeping that someone was staying in that room therefor they left it open to be “cleaned” a washcloth was left on the floor, holding the door open to the room. Our belongings were in the room with the door left wide open, anyone could’ve walked in and stolen our stuff & The only thing we were told was “we apologize”. FURIOUS! The shower was disgusting. There was saturated toilet paper on the seat of the toilet when we arrived. There were stains on the sheets of the beds, It was a horrible stay!
If I could, I wouldnt give it any stars. What kind of hotel doesnt have extra blankets and pillows? It has no elevator for handicapped occupants, theres sketchy manager, and a dirty appearance to the walls and carpets. Not to mention, the wifi is sometimey and it smells like a smoking skunk throughout the lobby and hallways. I dont recommend coming here.
I was VERY disappointed. We had to change rooms TWICE!!!! First room look like mole was in the bottom of the refrigerator and none of the outlets worked. Second room had bed bugs. Neither time was the CSR at the front desk apologetic. Will definitely NOT stay there again. All though the manager did his part, but the rep on night shift disappointed me!!
Unpleasant smell in the lobby and main hallway. Textured ceiling is coming off in the room. Wife did not feel safe. Both the apple and orange juice at breakfast tasted sour. All of the bananas had black spots on them. There were no waffles or pancakes. Bed was ok and sheets appeared clean.
The bathrooms were tiny, and seemed out of place, because they hadnt been updated with the rooms. They advertised having an indoor pool on the website, but the pool was no longer accessible, and seemed like they were changing the room it was in to something else, because it was covered up with wood. The internet was super slow, and they blocked access to a lot of sites, including the six flags website. The beds werent comfortable, and neither were the pillows. I ended up having to roll up a comforter to supplement the bad pillows. The whole hotel smelled like pickles, and marijuana the entire weekend. The ice machines didnt work at all. It was overall a bad experience.
We were very disappointed after we checked in to find out the pool was closed. We were not notified before hand. I have three girls and the pool is the main reason we chose to book with you guys. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they really acted as if they didnt care . On top of that the reception area smelled like pot!! I was forced to find a place for us to stay the weekend. I will not book you guys a again. I gave you a second chance and turns out I shouldnt have.
Pool was closed as well as our toiled was not secured to the floor. It rattled and moved when used and made a loud noise when flushed. Our shower smelled of mildew. It was the worst night we ever had at a hotel. We were suppose to stay 3 nights. We checked out by 8am the next morning.
Just no. Between my husband and myself, we stay in a LOT of hotels both here and abroad, so weve seen some pretty bad places. In all the years weve traveled for pleasure and for work, weve only checked out of a place twice because the conditions were so bad. Ive even slept in a hotel in a place so bad I had to barricade myself in, sleep fully-clothed on top of the covers because of sporadic gunfire in the general vicinity of my hotel and I STILL didnt check out and look for better accommodations. So you know the conditions of this hotel had to have been pretty bad for us to have paid in full only to check out and drive several miles up the Interatate to get out of there. DO NOT be fooled by the clean, updated rooms that look like they not only smell nice but at the very least dont smell horrific. Because the one we had did indeed smell horrific. The room looked like they attempted to make it look like the one in the photo; kind of like those inspiration shows on TV where they have a homeowner pick out a room that cost $40,000 to design but give them a $500 budget and art school dropout to make their dream room a reality. Also, theres not so much a bathroom as there is an indoor outhouse - no kidding, our bathroom was only separated from the bedroom by a flimsy and semi-functional pocket door, you had to turn sideways to step into said bathroom and at that point you were sandwiched between the toilet and the claustrophobic and dark shower stall, so youd better have made up your mind your intent before going in, because once youre in, there is no turning around. But the clincher for us was the absofrigginglutely horrific smell (and incredibly strange and unexplainable humidity) in the room. If Godzilla had a fetish for toe jam and kept his in a jar alongside his dust bunny collection, it still would not have smelled this bad. We checked the room for mummified hookers (this was waaaay past fresh dead; were talking ashes to ashes here), but never located any, so maybe it was just mildew from the humidity or dust from who-knows-what, but any place where you cant imagine touching anything, much less lying down on or ~gasp!~ in the bed or where youd be more dirty AFTER your shower than before (even if youre Mike Rowe) is no place for the living. I dont care if it is just a short walk to Six Flags. Chances are, like us youre going to drive anyway, so why not drive 10 miles further up the Interstate and only pay $20 more a night and sleep more peacefully knowing that 1) nothings going to crawl on you while you sleep; 2) you wont get Legionnaires Disease (or maybe something worse); 3) you wont need an old priest and a new priest to get rid of whatever it is lurking around that smells that frigging bad. Stay where you want, but its not your money youre saving...it could be your very sanity...
This hotel is convenient to the highway and to six flags but I would probably only stay again if nothing else is available (like this time) hotel needs some upgrading , bed sheets not to be thrown out , stains were on them. woke up with the worst backache, pillows arent any good. front desk young guy employee just kinda blah. no personality.
Recommend with caution... Hotel is walking distance from Six Flags which is nice. Rooms are enjoyable but we reserved a non-smoking room, unfortunately it smelled of smoke. Parking at times may be an issue due to close proximity to the park as well as shortage of spaces.
Absolutely awful. Cigerette burn on the sheets, mascara stains on the pillows, odd yellow stain on the sheets, unidentified pink stain on curtains and massive smell of cigerettes in no smoking room. When lobby was approched to ask for a new bedset the dude went to the back and handed me a new set of linens say i dont know if those will fit but it all I have thank you when I proceeded to see if usable just as many stains were found and a 3 inch burn hole was also discovered. Needless to say we checked out immediatly. They did very cooperatively give us a refund which we appreciated.
Worst place ever. A frog was back stroking in the pool told the front desk he just said oh we left the door open so thats why its in the pool. Entries hotel smelled like hot urine. Sheets were stained pillows were stained mattress was ripped I have pictures to prove it worst night ever someone was yelling in the hall way
Ugh, do not stay here. The AC was loud like an aircraft taking off until I removed the filters and cleaned them by hand. There was pink sludge in the shower. The carpet was wet (humidity problem), and the breakfast was definitely not fresh. Biscuits/sausage/eggs were cold.
We chose this hotel simply because of its close proximity to Six Flags and didnt really look at other hotels in the area. After checking in, I wished that we had checked out some other hotels. Sleep Inn wasnt terrible but it also wasnt what was expected and for the money we probably could have found something better.
The staff was excellent in the job they did while we stay there.I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who loves good service and nice quality. Its some things that could have been better like the breakfast which could have been warmer and more cooked but overall i was pleased with my stay there.
Too many issues and not enough time to write it. We werent given rooms that I requested. .was argued with at check in. Moved around. Room entered in the middle of the night. Pool area smelled. No tubs in bathrooms (almost fell ) bathrooms smelled horrible after showers. Food was left in refrigerator after last guest and had to throw it away. I really dont believe I need to say more
The hotel smelled so bad the rooms are extremely tiny I asked for a crib/pack and play never got it. also a girl threw up all in the pool and they never shut it down to clean it..... kids were swimming back in it 20 minutes later that didnt know she had gotten sick. my kids couldnt even swim.
Hotel was ok. Lobby floor wasnt clean - something sticky stuck to my friends shoes. HBO was advertised on the rooms literature said it was on one particular channel, but it wasnt. When I called the front desk to ask the channel I was told a different one. When I tuned in there, it still wasnt HBO.
Clearly one of the older hotels in this area. Every aspect of it is sort of dingy: carpet has stains, walls have stains, my side of the bed in a room with 2 double beds was so close to the wall and air unit that getting up at night was difficult. Breakfast fare consisted egg rounds, sausage, biscuits, bagels, mini donuts, mini cinnamon buns, mini muffins, toast, a small yogurt selection, bananas, coffee, OJ, and Apple juice. Close to Six Flags. No elevator here, indoor pool is a bit on the small side, very warm in the hallways, but the price is right for what youre getting during a weekday stay $60-$75 for us in July. On weekends, the price is near the $100 range per night, not worth it on weekends.
Only a 10 minute walk to the front gate of Six Flags. Quiet at night (early January). Indoor pool door had a sign that it was closed by Cobb County inspectors. Some room items showed signs of previous misuse. Most worrisome was the shower light fixture missing a screw. Wi-fi did not connect.
The hotel was ok, but the customer service wasnt great. The man at the front desk had a nasty attitude when I asked to spreak to management. We spent two nights there, when i wanted to speak to someone in charge, the guy at the front desk told me he didnt have to let me speak to someone. It was just very unprofessional. You spend money at a place, where they have no respect for the people.
Woke up to find Bed Bugs all over my sheets!!! Told the front desk and all I got was an Oh really? and a look of What do you want me to do about it. I asked if I could be reimbursed my money or discounted at the least and he said that he couldnt do anything I would have to call Choice Hotels! I travel for work and I am in 3 to 4 different hotels every week and this has been the worst one Ive ever stayed in. After further investigation I found what looked to be blood on the sheets from someone else who had the pleasure being snacked on as well. DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!
Rodeway inn @six flags the employees are rude and Unprofessional behavior. I feel like if u reserved a room thats your business who u have in there. Even tho I told them who was going to be in room we was my husband and son. And u still come back and tell me I cant have company. Thats why I brought my family with me on my business trip.
You just cant find the customer service we received now days . Not enough room or time to say what all was great at this stay . All of the staff were polite and attentive to our needs . They greeted you with a smile and hello or good morning or have a nice day at every encounter . We had a staff member jump into action ( Hinesh ) , he helped with a heavy cooler out to the car . He didnt say NEED HELP ? He just got right at it . Great walking distance to 6 Flags and a fantastic FREE breakfast bar . It was a perfect stay . We will go back at every six flags visit . Cant wait . Thank You Sleep Inn (GA761)
Close to six flags, but the hotel is dirty with poor lightling, the hotel has neglected maintenance overall the years..,we were not pleased . Sadly this hotel is so close to six flags..,,very poor internet and cellular service in the room, no guest laundry facilities to dry wet clothes , especially with a water park so close to the hotel. This hotel is only recommend if you cant afford to stay somewhere else while visiting Six Flags.
I would not stay here, dirty and smelled horrible. The hotel staff was very rude and not very accommodating at all. The bathrooms were filthy and had an awful smell coming from the shower, the hallway was the same dirty and smelled. The pool was gross and had a green tint to it. It was very overpriced for the condition the hotel was in.
People that work there are really nice they keep the place real nice and clean just need a few more updates and I I could say its as nice as any expensive hotel. Close in walking distance to six flags over georgia. And all together nice and quite and super friendly great little get away.
This place has mold all over the first floor. My mom woke up gagging and coughing in the middle of the night. There are humidifiers all over the first floor showing that something is obviously wrong. I wouldnt stay here until they got the problem under control. Do NOT chance getting sick by this mold.
I have many pictures to show this disgusting hotel. The bedding had a huge hole in it along with stains (gross). There was black stuff growing on the walls in the bathroom, the ceiling was coming apart, there was a terrible smell and the AC unit looked disgusting(there was stuff in it-what did I breathe all night?!). Extenuating circumstances forces me to stay otherwise I would have left.
Awesome place, extremely helpful & very kind staffing. Moved to ATL on extremely short notice for work, not only did they allow me to literally move just about my entire apartment from Kansas into one of their rooms, temporarily of course they didnt even laugh at what Im sure looked like a loon (me lol) while in the process of doing so also helped me store my job box and tools in a safe place for the night. What was ment to be a one night stay turned into a week and I cant think of one thing Id complain about while my stay.. room very clean, beds comfortable, good cable package on TV, wifi strong and fast connection, shower had good water pressure with plenty of hot water, heating/AC unit worked right and good, securid parking lot with video security cameras all over, right next to sixflags pretty much walking distance witch was fun..Cant say enough or thank these guys enough, traveling traidsmen definitely come catch a room here, perfect for on the road working ppl.
Worst hotel I ever slept in!! and trust me I sleep at hotels pretty much every night. I literally had to put my pants on and my jacket to sleep in the bed how nasty and dirty it looked...blood stains and different random stains all over the bed sheets and cover..on top of that the toilet doesnt even work....WORST EXPERIENCE EVER NEVER SLEEPING HERE AGAIN
I was apalled at the horrible condition of this motel. If it wasnt that I had paid with points and couldnt get a refund we would have left. There were cigarette burn holes in the sheets, the walls were filthy, it stank, the bath shower had mold and hair. I am so dissapointed in choice rewards for letting a motel in their chain that has a 4.5 star rating get by with this.
It was one of the most terrible stays at the Rodeway Inn they couldnt even give me my points and Im a choice member because I have no record of me being there nor did I have a lock on my door other than the one that you can use for a hotel Key bugs in the microwave whole hotel smell like smoke
Generally Sleep Inns around the country have been fine. Ive stayed in them for 10 years, about a week per year for business. The Austell, GA location did not meet my experiences of other Sleep Inns. Breakfast appeared to be left over from the day prior, room was not clean and the towels and face clothes were stained.

2022-05-30Good, quite clean hotel. Seems to be managed well. In fact, the main guy seems to be a stickler for cleanliness. Every time I saw him he was sweeping, vacuuming, wiping something down, or giving instructions to the staff to do so.The other big benefit is that this is within an easy walk of Six Flags. Ive sat in the car line to get to parking before, and it was awful. Walking right past that long line (which is a similar walk as to/from some of the parks official parking lots) is very nice. Two cons:1) The rooms are really small. Not comically small, but the beds are double instead of queen, and there really is no room at all for an extra pallet or air mattress if you were hoping to squeeze five people into the room.2) Hotels (not just this one) are STILL saying they have continental breakfast. Thats total bull. Fair that COVID halted a lot of that, and they dont have to offer breakfast, but they should stop using that term if it doesnt have some kind of pastries or protein or something. They have a couple of juices and milk, plus oatmeal packets and a couple of cold cereals (Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes in our current trip). They have coffee in the mornings, not in evenings, not sure about midday. The little breakfast they have shuts down at 9.Hope that helps.

2022-05-10We could see Goliath (roller coaster) from our room! Very cute little room -- everything worked. Nice staff -- very friendly. Nothing seemed broken or run down. I absolutely adored this room and this hotel.

2021-10-27I honestly thought the price on the hotel was daily priced.. until I stayed the one night. I got ate up from fleas in my room, the beds looked as if someone just threw the sheets and blankets over the bed, the hallways and lobby smelled like pot, and overall a horrible experience. I will never stay there again. You are much better off staying somewhere else even if its a higher price. The man at the front didnt even apologize or anything about the condition of the hotel room and just defended it. Please do not stay here... go somewhere else.

2022-04-30The hallway and lobby smells like pot and had to pay a deposit for not smoking in the rooms but it smells like pot everywhere else and no breakfast on a Saturday but said it has breakfast included and the toilet moves when you sit on it

2021-07-12Very hospitable receptionist and personnel, clean property, rooms are kept up, pool is heated, nice isolated spot without too much traffic, AC works great, beds are comfortable with at least 3 pillows. Shower is of good size with really good pressure. Has breakfast from 630 to 930. Would give 5 stars but doesnt serve rib-eyes or lobster.

2021-09-28First off the hotel itself wasn’t very clean. One of the light switches in our room was hanging off of the wall. The fridge was dirty definitely wasn’t cleaned good. The pool was AWFUL. it was cloudy and obviously not filtering good my husband said YOLO and got in anyways but quickly retreated because it burned his eyes. The AC kept turning off in the middle of the night and it was HOT. Not to mention you can hear EVERYTHING. Every time a kid screams, runs in the hall, the walls were thin. Don’t count on hot breakfast because they don’t do that. And on top of it all they keep the deposit! The front desk told me it was voided but my bank statements say otherwise. Just take your money elsewhere because it’s not worth it to stay at the Rodeway Inn.
