First time here & absolutely loved it. Food was great, prices are reasonable.
Order was incorrect with items missing. Got a Calizone instead of Pizza. Philly Cheese sub was great. Fries werent. 😒 Had to go back for Pizza and Fried Pickles.
I ordered a pizza called the Smokey Joes. I drove 25 minutes home. When I got home and opened the box it wasnt a pizza. It was an interesting wheel with a hole in the center. The top was covered similar to a Calzones. It was mostly cheese and cut up thin ham. I should have asked more questions. I saw regular pizzas on two small buffet tables a few feet from the register.A buffet of salads fixing. It looked tasty and fresh. They offer canned and bottled beer. I remember 4 types of Pretoria beer. Its a very large restaurant. It was Monday night and it was very busy. The phone was ringing, the service was fast and they were friendly. They have a brick oven. It took a while and the bottom was slightly burnt. Maybe too much cheese. I will go again and ask if I can have a regular pizza. The wheel of cheese may be their signature pizza. Something unique.
The food is always good but the service at the register needs a little bit more training with simplicity of the menu in help customers with what they ordered and offer discounts if possible
Roman Oven has been a staple of Americus for years. Over the last decade plus, the food has stayed amazing and the atmosphere welcoming. The buffet assortment fits every main need when it comes to flavors.
Were not from the area. we were passing thru. The food was good. The place was crowded so we could tell it was a popular local spot. Only issue was that it seemed like they used the same crust for everything, even the desert pizzas.. otherwise, it was a pretty good experience. If were ever back in the area, Id consider going back.
I didnt care for the pasta I got, the fettuccine was undercooked and the cheese tasted like powdered cheese from a box. Not something youd expect to have when you eat out. I have not tried the pizza buffet, since I havent been back there..
Overpriced and gross. Why does the pizza sauce taste sweet?? It’s pizza, its not supposed to taste sweet. Not to mention, the food always tastes stale and the workers look like they’re being held captive. One time I was in the party room and a giant roach chased me. This restaurant seems like it’s breaking about about a million health code violations.. really don’t know how it’s still open. I’ve been tempted so many times to call the health inspector. Needs better management, the big lady is very rude. Overall, this place is NOT worth the money

Best pizza buffet Ive ever been to! Any time we are in Americus my and my husband come here. Place seems small on the outside but there is plenty of room to sit and enjoy.

Yes, the food is good except for 2 things. This is the first time ordering the cinnamon sticks (wont do that again), they were so hard that I could not get a bite. Had to throw it away. I had also ordered garlic bread. I got cheese bread, no garlic. Im not trying to be mean. Dont get me wrong. Roman Oven is a great place to go, just a little disappointed, thats all. P. S. Ill still be eating there.
Very nice atmosphere food and staff is awesome! If they dont have the pizza you want on the buffet they can make any pizza you dream of!!! Try the ham and cheese calzone on the buffet.
Im not generally a fan of pizza buffet, but this was pretty good with a nice salad bar. They have quite a menu too, if youd rather something else. Atmosphere is what youd expect at this type of restaurant. Food was hot and tasty and service was extremely friendly.
I love the pizza, and the food is great, but everyone looks so miserable here and in what world is a pizza place closed on the weekend?! Nobody is enforcing masks or distancing. None of the employees are taking precautions either. Which makes the pizza buffet all the more concerning.
Gross bathrooms!! It’s dark and humid in there. Always trash on the ground. The tables are sticky. The pizza was mediocre, but almost always had been sitting for long periods of time and there are rarely fresh pizzas at the buffet. The workers are almost always rude.
What a wonderful little treasue I found on a recent out of town trip. A lot of variety, even a buffet and salad bar. The prices are good and the portions are huge.

Love roman oven theyre food is really good. But if you buy from the buffet and get full and cant eat everything. They wont let you take it home with you. Most restaurant that is buffet let you take your food home with you. I think if you pay to eat at the buffet you have every right to grab a take out to take your food with you. But overall good food.
I enjoy their food, its awesome. But they have seriously have to do something about the hair. My job ordered food, found hair in the salad. I ordered a salad found hair. Can the people say: HAIR NET!. I think Im done with them.

Amazin atmosphere as well as the dishes they serve weve tried (we are frequent attendees .) Our last visit we had the Turkey Sandwich, as well as a regular garlic, peppers and cheese pizza ( I forget their name for it) but it all was out of this world good. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone living local, planning a visit or just passing through town. A must try!!
Just spend $30 on a pizza. Go to get a slide and each slide just tears in half.. all the toppings slide off.. and has enough grease to fry a turkey. Definitely not worth what we paid. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Great variety good value, good food friendly staff. I ordered the chicken quesadillas & their to die for cinnamon rolls! Delicious. The atmosphere if you dine in is comfortable & casual. The dining area is a combination of tables & booths. A great gathering place.

Probably the best pizza I’ve had in SW Georgia! Pasta and salads won’t disappoint. Off the Chain wings are seriously hot! I love hot stuff and couldn’t finish 6 in one sitting!
The only fast food joint that you have to microwave after delivery and will charge you three times more than it is worth. smh Next time just going to order little ceasers that way it can be hot and ready.
This is by far the best restaurant to eat at, we go there at least twice a week their subs are amazing especially the Olympian sub. The staff there are very friendly we havent had anything yet that we didnt love. Keep up the great job.
I had never been there and I asked a worker there and she was very nice and answered my questions. I had a good meal, fun atmosphere, and I plan to bring my husband in the future
Great pizza. So many varieties of specialty pizza.... either by the slice or whole pie.Very helpful staff. When there were no pie slices that suited my needs (without meat), they made a fresh pie to my specifications, even though it was close to closing time and I wanted only one slice.There is an all you can eat buffet for both lunch and dinner (including beverage) for $10.75, including pizza, salad bar, etc, with beverage included.
Buffet was amazing. Good pizza. Cinnamon rolls outstanding. Wings were good, as told by my son. I ate the pizza, a lot of it.
I sooo love this place. Don’t let the fact that it’s a buffet turn you off. The pizza is really good and always fresh (so many people, but it moves fast), but the lasagna is my favorite!! Oh man it is better than I can make at home. Mac n cheese too! I always eat there when I have to go to Americus for work.
Salad was amazing, and so was the pizza until the cjewse like changed and i couldnt even eat it....

A bit expensive for the amount of food they serve. You dont get too many fries and the wings are not fried with flour, not sure if you have to ask, also you barely get any sauce on your wings. Its decent though but wouldnt eat again.
No regards for peoples safety, not a single server or employee had on a mask. Food was decent, pizza doe was soft but thats about it. Not a very clean or kept up restaurant. No wonder its a dieing town.
I actually dont like their pizza. Too much cheese for my taste. They drown their pizza in cheese. I would honestly never go here except, my husband, kid, friend, and her kid love it. They have a decent Caesar salad, and its a nice place where the kids can eat. They have a chalkboard wall by the booths which is great and the buffet makes it easier for me and my friend to feed our kids without them driving us crazy. It is a casual environment that is good for familys.
We was there at the party room for that day but someone was already they did not even try to ask the people out of the party room no one came to talk to us about our situation we just left and went to the 1800 club where they accommodated us at the last minute and gave us real good service
The food was great, the hostess definitely wanted to make sure people where not stealing. They ask us if we had paid 3 times, courteously. The restuarant its However was not clean and the drink stand constantly leaked leaving a stream across the the floor.. which they only cleaned when customers addressed it.

Oh how we love Roman Oven pizza. But for the past 3 years I can not have meat or bread. So when my men all got pizza they brought me the Pasta Primavera!!! Heavenly! It was so delicious & I could drink a cup of the ranch dressing. Thank you for a fantastic meal!!
We live 25 miles away, but frequent this place most often in the city of Americus. Food is good and priced fairly. We absolutely love their homemade blue cheese salad dressing. 👍
So a few months ago, my guy and I ordered a pizza and some fries for delivery from this place. It was a busy night, I cant remember why, but our food came late and cold. We had ordered once here before (just moved to town) and we knew that the food, when hot, was really good. We called the restaurant after our food was dropped off and were able to speak to a manager and explain why we were dissatisfied. She was super nice and gave us a credit for a free meal.Fast forward to about 5 minutes ago when we remembered we never redeemed the coupon for the redemption pizza and fries. I called and spoke to a very sweet lady on the phone who listened to my drawn out cold pizza story. She spoke with her manager and after 3 months, they STILL honored the credit (not their policy). Pizza and fries are on the way as I type! Yes... they are even delivering AGAIN. Impressive.Kudos to you ROMAN OVEN of Americus, for being a stand up small business, staying true to your word and making the best pizza in town. I will be paying for many more meals from the OVEN in the future, especially after this AMAAAZing customer service experience. Well done!
I love the Roman Ovens pizza buffet. Its always hot and fresh. They have a good variety to choose from and will make whatever you ask for. I requested a spinach pizza and it was delicious. The buffet includes salad bar and a drink for around ten dollars a person. They also have a menu with lots to choose from such as sandwiches, pasta, and some other stuff. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and has a fun atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places to eat.
This restaurant is truly an amazing place. The food is excellent, namely the ruben sandwiches, and the service is wonderful! Its always worth the trip from Albany! Thank you for the slices of pizza today!
I walked in to order takeout and was treated so respectively when I forgot my card in the car. The food was out in 10 mins or less and it was comfy. They brought my take out to me with a smile and invited me back. I love Roman Oven! Amazing service, people and the place is so unique!

I called a head to place an order. Had to wait another 15 minutes when I got there. This Place is way over priced and dull. 13.99 for hamburger steak dinner WITHOUT a drink. Monroes and pats place is the way to go if your visiting Americus Ga. Done with this joint and want be back, they can shut it down. Boring!!!

I had placed an order and the food was not all good. I dont know why and I have eaten from this place several times, but may be because they were getting ready to close. The spaghetti dinner just didnt taste right. The hamburger steak was not all good. I asked for onions and gravy on it and they only put onions on it and it was dry. The chicken fingers was cooked to hard. It was not worth the amount that I paid for the 4 of us.
Very rushed to place our order, bread was like a brick on the pizza and dessert items, been under the lights too long! Sweet tea was good. Not worth the money we paid for the 5 of us.
We ordered a vegetarian pizza for our daughter that was supposed to be brought to our table, but that did not happen. What occured was the pizza stayed on the stand with other pizzas and a lasagna pan was eventually placed on top of half the pizza. In addition to that, the dessert rolls were hard and other pizzas were dried out. The choices were limited and substandard. This was the second time we have eaten at this establishment and definitely will be the last.
First time visiting last night and have to say it was an impressive pizza buffet...the best Ive seen. The selection of pizza wasnt that great (in all fairness I arrived at 8pm they close 9pm) but the items they had were tasty. The cheesy bread and cinnamon rolls are out of this world. Only reason I gave a 4 star is because at 825 a lady came by and shut all 4 TVs off, not that I was watching but I was looking at it while I finished my meal....kinda rude I thought. The other was the fact that they were emptying trash cans Full of trash and carrying these huge bags throughout eating area. I know folks are in a hurry to go home but you can quickly do a trash dump AFTER customers have left.
I ordered a Meaty Supreme with extra sausage and American cheese. Extra cheese was put on the bottom when it should have been on the top. Employees are racist or lazy and dont ask the customer for their name. So they call the name of the pizza. Waited 30 minutes couldnt eat it with one hand for falling apart.
Always great. Once you buy the buffet, they ask you if there is a special pizza you would like on the buffet. We always stop when we are in town.& dont forget to try the cinnamon rolls.. outstanding!
One of the best pizza buffets out there... The pizzas are delicious and the buffet is cheap! If you dont see what you want on the bar dont dispair they will do whatever it takes to make you happy! From pizza to pasta they will make it for you...

For a great slice that doesnt end you have to head over here. They have a buffet option along with a standard menu. For the spicy enthusiast try their wings! The hottest ones should be made into a challenge because they have evil inside that sauce!!!!!!
If you like thick bread pizza, youll like the food. Definitely not brick oven in my experience. But it was hot & freshly made. Will not return.
I grew up in a family that owned a pizza restaurant. I judge pretty harshly when it comes to pizza. I was impressed! excellent crust, right amount of sauce, and proper cheese mixture. The bonus is it is all you can eat. Excellent!
Omg... i dont even like pizza that much and have visit here twice in a week... both times ive been have had a great experience not only is the food great but the staff is so friendly and polite and i love the watery ranch... i Applaud you for your employees i think its the only place Ive been too since being here that Ive not seen any of your employees on a phone... means allot....

They have an amazing selection of pizza of course. However. For those who want healthier options, they have various salads and other dishes that would certainly fit with the lighter side of a diet. There is also a selection of pasta dishes and wings. If youre looking for somewhere local to eat with a good variety, its hard to beat Roman Oven.

It was to expensive ... it was our 18th wedding anniversary not even a small discount at all.. we got a large pizze a small order of fried pickles and 2 drinks and our bill was $39.88 a little expensive for a pizza.
Way overpriced. A medium from dominoes is what they call a large. Its 16 bucks for a supreme but doesnt come with black olives. Adding black olives is like 5 bucks.... soaked in grease and not fully cooked. Disappointing
My wife and I regularly make the drive from our house (30 Miles) to the Roman Oven. The fact that they have an affordable buffet stocked with high quality brick oven style pizzas is hard to pass up on its own but, when you add an awesome menu with tons of variety as well as a southern psychedelic charm all its own its a no brainier. Our evenings at the Roman Oven are worth every mile driven for the past five years and many more to come.
I ordered a traditional spaghetti with cheesy bread. Better containers need to be ordered for carryout spaghetti. The spaghetti is placed in this foil pan with a lid, then wrapped in saran wrap. Its trouble taking the saran wrap off. By the time you get it off the moisture and the liquid from the spaghetti is every where. Also, the spaghetti has no seasoning.
The workers were nice and appreciative. I LOVED the pizza. I like my pizza cheesy and stringy. They gave me just that. So cheesy and yummy. I loved it.

They have really really delicious pizza and desserts. The man who brings out the pizza for the buffet is very courteous. I recommend coming during lunchbtime because at dinner time it is very congested with people.

If youre looking for a job I would not go here the staff and management are as far from professional as you can get. Someone I know got set up for an interview at a set Time and the hiring manager wasnt even doing the interview and the guy supposed to do the interview wasnt even there when he said he would be.

O-M-G Im an Italian at heart and have eaten Italian food all over the country. With that being said, I can also admit this place has the hands down best pizza Ive ever ate in my life! We retired to the Leesburg area and pray we get a Roman there!
The salad had no flavor, 3 small pieces of steak on it either very little sauce. Everything had to be purchased separately. I knew not to buy a Taco salad other then at Mexican restaurant.

Ordered ahead and still waited 20 minutes for salad and garlic bread. The garlic bread was made from what appeared to be hoagie rolls and was extremely greasy.

Finally a good pie in South Georgia. Probably the best Pizza in 60 miles radius of Americus. Friendly self service restaurant with a huge menu. This off the path eatery is well worth the drive if you are close. Very reasonably priced,quaint retro decor, and plenty of room to breathe inside. Would highly recommend Roman Oven Pizzaria if you are not into the franchise pies. One word to describe their ingredients. FRESH !!! You will taste the difference,... PROMISE ! 😋
They have failed to deliver everything that we ordered on multiple occasions. Also, the manager that was on duty the last time we went was the most rude person Ive ever met in my life. We used to be weekly customers but we will never go back now. If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would.

My wife and I came in for lunch. They have a very friendly atmosphere. We shared a taco salad and a small barbeque chicken pizza. Everything was delicious.

The pizza is ok. I dont care for the sauce. When dining in there is a cluster of people waiting to sit at cash register and you have to go through the line to the buffet pizza. I like the fact the pizza is really cheesey but it is really greasy.

Its a shame that I have to post this again about this place I really love the owners I think theyre great people but when you go in my poor daughter again has gone in been assumed to be with another colored family she was there by herself to pick up a and out going call for from Roman oven for herself and of course someone assumed that she was with the black lady in front of her she was well arent you going to sit down and she does Im not with her Im here to order a pick pick up an order that I called in .its a shame that were always assumed to be together when there are black folks around in this place. TOTAL SHAME.

2022-02-02I’m a regular, and my friends and I love to come enjoy the pizza, the salads, or one of the amazing sandwiches. I also highly recommend the spaghetti dinner, but order extra garlic bread because it makes the meal extraordinary.

2021-12-21Disappointing the rude management. Came in at 3:00 and was hastily greeted in a rude manner that the buffet was closed. Nowhere is it posted nor stated that the buffet closes at 3:00. I would gladly have eaten off of what was there had the manager not been rude. All I asked was for one extra pizza to be cooked abd they said, thats the way it is.... very disappointed. Been a customer for years but not sure if I will be back after the way I was treated.

2017-11-02Great pizza buffet! The pizzas are piled with cheese and toppings. I had Supreme, Meat Lovers, and Buffalo Chicken. It was an incredible lunch! An adult buffet with drink was $10 and change. I felt it was well worth it. Ill be back as soon as I can (its 60 miles away.)

2021-11-27We love this place but I have one bad thing to say. Why were u closed on Friday the day after Thanksgiving, thats wrong u shouldnt of been closed people were out their to eat. Its bad enough that u closed on the weekends. But excellent food never complain about the food , we r from Pennsylvania we moved down here 2 years ago and ur the only good Italian food we have found so far..
