Caroline Jones helped me every step of the way from the initial application process to walking me through my new apartment doors. She answered a bunch of my questions through call and email, and always made sure to check up on how we were feeling during the process. If you are getting an apartment at Rosemont Chamblee, I hope that she will be the one assisting you. She has made the experience so welcoming to me.
So many issues. Roaches, packages stolen (from the parcel pending room), compactor always broken/overflowing so there is quite literally a MOUNTAIN of garbage nearly every single day.Missing handrails on stairs, broken fence posts. My upstairs neighbors window screen fell off and it just laid there for months. Maintenance is a joke. It’s supposed to be a nonsmoking property and I contacted the office multiple times after neighbors cigarette butts (and lots of other trash) were ending up on my porch, they did nothing.Best of all, rent was recently raised 20% and the property has only gotten worse in that time. And now, they won’t even replace the lightbulbs in the ceiling fixtures! $300 rent raise, no lightbulbs for you!
Never fixed broken gates and trash compactor. Roaches and bugs. Car break ins and abandoned cars. Stolen packages. Broken down amenities such as gym, pool, and car wash. Old appliances and structure. Incompetent leasing employees. Lastly, there was a murder here few years back. Did not renew and left. When I left, they charged me for wear and tear and failed to notify me. Instead, just sent directly to debt collection for $100 and had no idea about this until the debt collector notified about reporting to my credit. Now, I have a permanent red flag in my credit.
I have been living in this development for 11 months now. It has now changed from Cortland at Cantera to Rosemont Chamblee. I have to admit it started out shaky when my apartment that I had not even moved into yet was leaking gas from the hot water heater. Mind you I drove 10 hours across states to move in. I believe I was most upset that clearly the apartment was not ready for my move in date which I prepared for to including my drive time from my home town.Moving forward, once settled and over the next 9 months things were great! That was a big deal having not lived in an apartment for over 20 years. Maintenance comes out timely for any requests, quiet neighbors, and I felt pretty safe considering having moved from a small suburb city. I had no pests, such as roaches so I did not have to experience the lack of attention towards such a HUGE problem in my book until now.Fast forward to the past month, suddenly I am seeing roaches. My thoughts are that possibly another tenant brought them to our building. You pay pest control fees but I have had literally TWO attempts in 1 month at ridding the problem to say, well there isnt an infestation. One roach is way too many!! They carry disease and to me bed bugs and roaches should be both taken very seriously! When you can no longer enjoy your apartment and are afraid of having company because your cousins may come out to play then there is a problem.I said all of that to say definitely inspect, low key screen your neighbors, and just make sure you will not be left to physically attempt to be more aggressive and spending your own money to rid the problem yourself. Especially knowing literally your apartment can not get any cleaner and you are not the culprit.Update: Literally they have stopped coming to spray altogether and forget I even requested a weekly pest control maintenance which was altogether ignored!! I was told by my neighbors they also have them so it’s apparent our leasing office doesn’t care how we live as long as the rent is paid on time. I believe I’m more upset at this point that before I move I will have to fumigate my apartment to make sure I don’t take the creatures with me. So gross and disgusting on any level whether ‘infestation’ or NOT.. I have more powder down (boric acid) than a Mexican dope smuggler and these pest cross right over the threshold.. RIDICULOUSI’m told Atlanta is unfortunately known for roaches but your leasing departments are the ones who ultimately help you get things under control. I do NOT have them on my team whatsoever!!!
When Cortland sold off they should’ve gave the option to end lease. They’re so ghetto it’s unbelievable all the amenities gone with it. No timely changes in staff availability and maintenance. Can’t even get the signs changed.Maintenance banging on the door and entering without permission when notes clearly say call firstLosing checks and want to send out late fees.RUN
I have been here for 13 years and I have seen it all during my time here.I would have to say that this current management and ownership has been a quite of improvement. Before we had police everynight, breakins, gun shots,it was almost unlivable but since the renovations and increase of rent it has brought a bettter class of people this is no longer the hood.
The maintenance team at Rosemont Chamblee is terrible. I lived at Cantera by Cortland before this switch and they ensured all request were completed in a timely manner. Rosemont Chamblee sends out an automated email after submitting a maintenance request that says “We are working on your request”, you then don’t hear from them for days. There’s no update or anything. I put in a maintenance request 2 weeks ago, I had to CONTINUOUSLY call the leasing office/maintenance, I even personally messaged the property staff manager through our resident portal, all to no avail. It wasn’t until I went TO the leasing office and asked to speak to management regarding this issue that they finally sent someone out. They came out and fixed my request… it lasted less than 48 hours. Now I’m without a crucial appliance in my apartment AGAIN, trying to contact maintenance AGAIN. The leasing team and maintenance team are two separate entities. The ONE woman in the leasing office is PHENOMENAL. I believe her name is Ms. Caroline. The maintenance team? Not so much. If you care about maintenance requests being completed in a timely manner? I do not recommend Rosemont Chamblee.
Please find somewhere better. I thought this place was amazing at FIRST. I toured the property with Olympia, who was very kind and informational. I was pretty happy with what I saw, however after I applied is where things went downhill.I applied online, was APPROVED, then randomly a week later, I get an email saying im denied because of the credit check. The reasoning was very vague and made no sense. I contacted the property several times, through email & phone calls to get the status of my application or even clarity on what that meant.I was TRYING to move from Cortland North Brookhaven here but, it seems after you are denied for whatever reason it may be, they stop caring, they stop responding. They just want your money, but you’ll get it back in a check after A MONTH passes 🥴 save yourself the headache. The reviews recently prove this decision made itself for the better. I am now a happy resident of Midtown Atlanta. Go find better!
I have lived here since December of 2019 and will be moving out on July 1st, 2021. My experience here has been top notch. All of my maintenance issues were resolved quickly, parking has never been a problem and I have never been disturbed by loud neighbors. Everyone here been courteous and respectful. I can get to 285 and 85 in like 5 minutes. The new Kroger is only 5 minutes from here. They remodeled all the apartments a few years ago and they look great. I highly recommend and would live here again. A special shout out to Beth Kujawa; you have been very helpful and thank you so much!
I toured the complex mid March and was extremely impressed and excited to apply once there was a 3-bed apartment available! Come late April a unit opened up and my two roommates and I applied with the help of Olympia, one of the leasing consultants. From there, our experience crumbled. They made us re-apply 3 times, repaying 2 application fees, and keeping us in the dark for days. When we finally were pending for approval they said there were some system issues with our application and that they would get back to us as soon as it was resolved on their end but never heard from them. It was absolutely impossible to get a hold of anyone in the leasing office or get any questions answered. Me or my roommates would call every day and would get two rings and then be sent straight to voicemail. We would leave messages asking to be called back and would never hear from them. This went on for 4 weeks. We finally gave up on Cantera (beginning of June) because we never heard from them or got any updates on our application. It was the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with an apartment company. We really wanted to live there but they didn’t seem to care or want our business.
Since the management team changed, things have gotten slightly better. Although..... my friends tires were stolen when I first moved in, my apartment was broken into, my AC goes out once every month, and 2 burners on the stove work. My fridge was broken for months & finally Cortland stepped in and got me a new one. Panicle was a horrible leasing company, install a security system and keep track of maintenance issues. Renovations are beginning!
Noah was absolutely AWESOME during my move in process. He was super responsive and even the apartment as a whole has been helpful. I transferred from a different Cortland property and chose to stay within Cortland because I know how quick to respond their team is, including maintenance. I’ve had maintenance requests and they’ve all been fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Not only that, but i’m truly in love with my unit. The upgrades have some slight wear and tear from past owners but it’s beautiful and I got new carpet :) Thanks team!
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Looks amazing from the outside looking in. I was so excited to move here but it has been the absolute WORST experience Ive had with an apartment. Price tag seems worth it at first but after moving you will find it is extremely OVERPRICED. I have lived in several apartment complexes over the years, this one being the most expensive, and I have never had to put in as many maintanence requests as I have while here. There will be bugs in the apartment when you move in. Multiple issues with WATER DAMAGE and LEAKS. I have been living here for 4 months and have had two major leaks with flooding into my apartment coming from the water heater of the apartment beside me and apartment above me. Work orders are usually addressed quickly however the issue is never truly resolved. Multiple security issues with the windows, I have been waiting on replacements for 4 months now. Doors WILL open on their own if you do not lock them. Attempted to change apartments but they want to give me a much smaller apartment for the same price. Package system is the worst and your packages WILL GET LOST! Gates are ALWAYS broken and remain open most days. Giving two stars only because the maintenance team has been great to me and the kitchen looks nice when its not leaking.Update 5/12: Since I cannot, or just dont know how to, reply to a response, I will edit. Ms. Donna, thank you so much for your response. You, your office, and your maintenance team should have full details of the follow ups made since the contractor in January as well as the other incidences. I do make phone calls, send emails, and put in service requests when needed, promptly.Fortunately, I will say a contractor was sent out the very next day after my review was posted and the bedroom windows were replaced immediately. I really appreciate that! A contractor also came today to seal up the roof where the leak was and painted the water damaged walls. Dry and dandy, the colors a bit off but he did a pretty great job! I sincerely appreciate that as well. I will say, aside from the windows having to be reordered, service is pretty fast here! Some things are completely out of our control, and I do understand that. Theres no way to predict leaky water heaters or a natural gas leak in the building. Im just afraid of anything getting worse, given the luck Ive had thus far. I will say though, your maintenance team works hard and are so friendly. It is such a big community and I am just one unit but I appreciate all they do.
Love this apartment. I am officially 6 months into my lease and I am already thinking about renewing. The staff are great and very responsive. Great response time from maintenance and excellent location. I took my time reviewing apartments preparing for my move to Atlanta and I am SO glad I chose Cantera! 5/5 - Highly recommend!
All of these pictures have been taken within the past 24 hours. I wish that I could say these were unusual sights, but regrettably, they are not! The abandoned car has been there for months. The overflowing trash receptacle has been overflowing for weeks. Trash can sit outside of apartment doors for weeks. This place needs to quit advertising luxury living. Does this look like luxury living? You be the judge!!
My overall experience at Cantera has been nothing short of amazing. Work orders are completed immediately, and calls are made to assure items were fixed when it is something a bit more serious than switching a light bulb.I have been a resident since November 2017, and hope to be here until I am ready to buy my own home. Which is hopefully near by, as this area is super convenient and close to 85 & I can hop on 285 within 3-4 minutes or less from the moment I leave my apartment. I absolutely love my home here, and enjoy spending my time at the new gym when I get a chance. What Cortland does for their residents to have nice amenities like the new gym and new pool are out of this world. Very luxurious and welcoming.Every time I stop by the leasing office, Noah is quick to greet me by my first name?! When I can, I stop by and say hello because he is just genuinely pleasant. The Starbucks machine in the leasing office literally fell from heaven. The day I am ready to buy my own home will be bittersweet. Plan to stay here at least another 2-3 years. Thank YOU Cantera!
I would recommend living here at Rosemont Chamblee. The apartments and complex are nice with great gym and are located in a good location given the interstates and nearby grocery store. The management team went above and beyond to make our move-in as smooth as possible. The maintenance team promptly fixed maintenance requests items from our walk-through inspection and a water leak from our fridge that occured on our first night. Then management gave us a rent credit for 2 days because of not having a working fridge over the weekend. They also found a garage for me located conveniently near our unit. Overall, everyone has be pleasant and professional to work with which is impressive given the challenges of transitioning ownership.
My fiance and I have toured at least a dozen apartments in the surrounding area. This was our first one and nothing lived up to the beauty of Cantera. The location is awesome since it is right next to Mercer University! What honestly sold us was our leasing consultant Olympia. She is beyond amazing! Between her superb customer service and determination to leave the resident satisfied, she is top tier! We sincerely appreciate everything she has done for us to make our upcoming move as smooth as possible. If Olympia is any representation of Cantera, we made the right choice!
I’ve lived here since May 2018 and love it. The office staff is great, and the service team is even better. Any time I’ve had an issue they are extremely responsive. Everyone is polite and professional. I love the peacefulness of the community. It’s like a little slice of nature close to the city. I highly recommend Cantera. Noah and Kiara were amazing during my recent transfer to a bigger apartment. I’ll be calling Cantera home for a long time.
Awesome place to live! Apartments are newly renovated. The staff are so incredibly nice, especially Caroline, Zach, and Noah. Every time that I walk into the office to study, grab coffee, or ask a questions, they are always so kind. Maintenance is quick and friendly. Amenities are amazing!!! It has been the best experience I have had at an apartment complex.
I have been locked out of my apartment since 9:30 am. I sent in a maintenance request soon after. My door lock malfunctioned and I can’t open my door despite my attempts to do so!I even ask someone else to try, to no avail! I followed up with voicemails, emails and entered comments asking someone to contact me to let me know when I can expect to have access to my apartment. I finally received a call from maintenance @ 1:35 pm apologizing by saying that he has sprint and didn’t have service until now. He goes on to explain that he is aware the reply message indicates your door lock being an emergency, yet this maintenance doesn’t handle as an emergency. Therefore, I would have to contact a locksmith and pay out-of-pocket.I asked him how I would get reimbursed and was told I would need to contact management on Monday. This is the holidays so I can imagine how much it would cost for a locksmith. This is my third lease. During my time here my door lock has malfunctioned before and maintenance came out after hours so that I could have access into my apartment. I will send an update once I have spoken to management..
I love it here! The office staff are always friendly and the maintenance staff are top notch! I have lived at the property for 15 months and just extended the lease for another 15! Looking forward to post covid activities and summer time fun again at the pool. Special shout out to Beth who was understanding and patient with me when I made a last minute decision to extend my lease. Since moving in 15 months ago, I have become familiar with the area and there is a lot of nearby eateries and local bars that have become my spots. Any complaints I may have are minor and are issues you will have at any apartment complex, so with that said, I give this place 5 stars and then some.
We moved in back in May of 2019. The move in process was a great experience and the staff put in the extra effort at Cantera.Living in Cantera was great! We had a dog and there are plenty of sidewalks and poop bag stations. The dog park is nice; it is a converted tennis court (its a nice mulch and turf surface)Maintenance was always on point, if you put a request in, say at night, they would be there 11-1 the next day and had a 48 hour guarantee. We decided to move out because of new jobs outside of the area otherwise we wouldnt have! We actually moved into another Cortland property because we liked being with them so much! Not trying to sound like a brand salesman, but theyre on top of their game.Zach helped us transfer to the property and was very diligent to make sure everything went smoothly. Overall, it was a great customer experience and I would recommend it for the apartments, community, and service from staff like Zach.
I have loved every moment of living at Cantera by Cortland-- from my first property visit to my now 30 days as a resident! All of the staff are super kind and attentive! Noah is always a pleasure, and goes above and beyond to help. I love designing spaces that I can call home, and that means I call on maintenance a lot-- but they are always kind, super quick to complete a request, and just really nice to work with. I am a Mercer student, so the location helps as well, its literally a hop and a skip across the street. The neighborhood is also very quiet, and the grounds are kept clean. Im sure I will be living here until graduation!
We moved to Cantera about 8 months ago and its been a very positive experience so far. Its a beautiful, well maintained community with two pools and gyms where they have fitness classes and yoga, plenty of grills, great parking and its safe as its a gated community. Maintenance always fixes issues on time, we had a huge leak and the external contractors were taking too long to bring equipment, shout out to Noah at the leasing office!! I just spoke once with him and he was right on it and got the issue resolved immediately and kept me in the loop.Everyone at the leasing office is so friendly and approachable. Zach is super helpful and nice and is always smiling, him along with Kiara and Noah plan these wonderful community events which are so fun. Thanks for all the effort.
As a resident for nearly 2 years I can state that I have enjoyed my experience here at Cantera. Specifically, Noah and Erika have provided excellent customer service. Noah professionally assisted with me moving from one apartment to another with my cousin. He always kept us informed of the process and was extremely kind in each of our interactions. If there is an issue, he makes sure to resolve it quickly and efficiently, going above and beyond to provide remediation.Erika is a consummate professional which is refreshing to see based on past experiences with leasing personnel. She is always polite and thorough in taking care of whatever concerns I have. It is a delight to walk in to the leasing office knowing that you will have a pleasurable experience and get exactly what you need done.
Cantera has truly been a great place to live! The apartments are very modern and updated. The community is usually pretty quiet and there are plenty of small green spaces and sidewalks for walking your dog. The complex is very well managed. Maintenance staff addresses issues very quickly. Leasing staff is very helpful and works hard to promote community engagement. The amenities are awesome, new gym with classes and two nice swimming pools. Communication has always been great as well. Zach at the leasing office has been very helpful with answering all of our questions and explaining procedures. The location is convenient being next to 285 and 85. We will miss this complex, but I highly recommend it for anybody looking to move to the Chamblee/Embry Hills area. We are actually moving to another Cortland property (due to job changes) because this management company goes the extra mile for their residents.
I’ve lived here a little over a year now and I don’t have many issues. Maintenance comes super quick and helps with any requests. (They even helped me when I had a flat tire.) The new gym is great and they have classes throughout the week open to residents and their guests. The staff is friendly. The only problem I’ve experienced is that they will randomly turn the water off and send you an email informing you the morning of. (for hours at a time - though it’s usually in the middle of the day when people are at work) I think there was an issue with the pipes, but other than that, it’s great!
Ive been here since 2019. I thought because it was a Courtland property it would be top tier. I was mistaken. Welcome to Cantera Land! First off admission is free due to all the security gates being broken and open literally every month since Ive been here. Not to mention the themed character weirdos ( at the gym, and pool) and robbers who dont live here. Management says you should have your Courtland sticker on your car, but it doesnt matter when the gates are open to the public. Dont forget to visit trash mountain. A frequent attraction for the locals with various trash bags piling up due to a broken down compactor. Lastly dont miss the forbidden fireworks show. This attraction is new this year! Residents are forbidden to use fireworks but since June ive found, heard, and witnessed fireworks near my freaking car! Even though management explicitly says not to use them in the neighborhood. Rent has went up about $300 for new applicants. you would be better off going downtown for the sane price. Cantera aint it......In addition to the response from cantera. The compactor is broken weekly and as far as working closely with the police department...i dont see how. 2 or 3 weeks ago somebodys bedroom window was broken into and we still have yet to be updated on it.
I have had such a wonderful experience working with Kenzie at Cantera by Cortland. I’ve lived in a number of apartment complexes, and I’ve never felt so strongly that they really cared about me, about my well-being, about making sure I felt that I had not just an apartment, but a home. If you are looking to rent and considering Cantera, please call and talk to Kenzie. She is the absolute best and I wish I could rent from her more than once! I have found the absolute perfect apartment for me, and I am so excited to move in!I chose Cantera after a long search and with the different amenities, the price for the apartment, and the gorgeous wooded setting I think it is going to be the ideal place for me. I am looking forward to updating this review once I have moved in so I can speak to my continued positive experience. (*No one asked for this review, and I was not offered any kind of discount or credit for making it. My experience with Kenzie was really just so positive I wanted people to know that, at this apartment complex, you can really work with good people you can trust.)
I recently started to call Cantera my home and so far I am pleased with my decision. The apartment:It has a contemporary look on the inside and the amenities are good. There are swimming pools, gyms, and community picnic/garden areas for residents to take advantage of. The apt is close to both I85 and I285, and right across from Mercer University Atl Campus. It is a gated community with 3 gates. Gates do breakdown sometimes but they are fixed within reasonable time for the most part. The leasing office:Noah was our leasing consultant and he was extremely helpful. He took his time to make sure all of my questions were answered and was very patient throughout the whole process. I visited Cantera twice before signing the lease and Noah made sure I was 100% satisfied with my decision. He was very responsive to all of my questions/requests/issues. Maintenance requests are usually taken care of in timely manner. There are lockers for packages inside the leasing office but most of my packages are delivered to my door.I would strongly recommend Cantera to those who are looking for a place near Atlanta!
I currently reside here and have been happily living here now for 3 years. I enjoy how quickly my concerns get taken care of and how nice the maintenance team is. Just moved into my new apartment and I am extremely happy with our new beautiful renovated apartment! All the brand new appliances are modern and quite stylish. Cant wait for the new gym to be finished. Just want to emphasize that where these apartments truly shine, is in the great team they have assembled!! Very grateful for the wonderful experience that Nicole and the entire team provided us with through our entire transfer process. Nicole made it fun and not stressful at all! Answered all my questions and also very cordial with my wife that wanted to see so many different floor plans. Her professionalism needs to be rewarded and acknowledged. Keep up the great work! If you are looking for a new place to call home, check these new renovated apartments. You will not be disappointed.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could.Since day one of moving into cantera me and my rommates have had nonstop drama; not with each other but Cantera. We signed a lease and paid for a top floor apartment and were set to move in, and the night before at 6pm they called us to say that it had “flooded” and she so “graciously” found us a first floor complex by the entrance (funny because we got a top floor in the back for safety but anyways). She told us we could not move in until everyone had signed the lease she sent to us an hour before we moved in and did not apologize for our inconvenience once and continued to be snarky making rude comments. We are all Nursing students at Mercer, across the street, and the manager proceeded to tell me that she did not like Mercer students because we “cause the most problems”. That is a great comment to make to students there and interesting considering the school is next door and is only a graduate and professional school. When moving in we had several light switches and outlets that didn’t work and when we made a request to get them fixed our leasing agent canceled the request because “it is not their problem” and “just because we have outlets doesn’t mean they work”. The people above us had sex constantly, which is their prerogative, except when the sound can be heard loud and clear from our living room 7x throughout the day AND night. They also had a child above us that would run and jump all day. We filed several complaints, but Cantera told us that there is nothing they can do (even though it clearly stated that excessively loud noises are prohibited and punished in their lease). Our mail is constantly being stolen and the mail room just throws all the packages on the floor, so good luck with mail services here. When I called and asked for help with where something is in the complex, the leasing person hung up on me. The leasing people also come and go, as we have had 3 different leasing people in charge of our stuff in the past 6 months. No one seems to help or want to help, despite their “motto” saying their go above and beyond and treat you like you matter and blah blah blah. It is not true, they do not care about you, as we have never in all our chaos gotten an apology. Our door was also broken for a month and did not close all the way or lock and they did not get around to fix it because apparently it wasn’t urgent. A broken door on the first floor of an Atanta apartment seems like a safety urgency to me. The other night we had the final straw as we were all woken up at 11:45 pm with the people above us jumping and running and banging our ceiling. My roommate tried to hit the ceiling with a broom to get them to stop and they proceeded to come downstairs and try to bang our door down. After our second 911 call for feeling unsafe here because of the people above us, the police said the people were simply “putting together furniture” at midnight. The leasing office said that we are simply on different schedules but fearing for your life seems like a pretty good reason to try to help people living in your complex... or so I would think. We finally got out of our lease (after only living here 6 months) and cannot wait to never live in another Cortland complex. I would not recommend this complex to anyone I know, even if I didn’t like them. This complex is not very safe, and the leasing agents and management seem to not care about your well being or issues, as they roll your eyes when you tell them your concerns. I am extremely excited to move out, and hope that other people do not have to go though the trauma me and my roommates went though.
I am a current resident here and my first bad experience was when I was moving in. I was having trouble getting a hold of my leasing agent to make sure the necessary paperwork had gone through and I couldn’t get ANYONE to answer the phones, so I had to take off of work and drive an hour down here to speak to people in person. Turns out my leasing agent no longer worked there and they hadn’t assigned me anyone else or notified me or my roommate. So, I ask my questions and then find out that they pushed my move in date WITHOUT TELLING US, they were renovating the apartment and it wasn’t going as quickly as planned so we had no choice. Day of move in came and we showed up at the correct time, still not ready so we had to wait for hours for it to be ready. This was extremely inconvenient because I moved to this apartment for school and school started the next day so I had to be moved before then. (And I was supposed to move 5 days prior) . Since then I’ve had a pretty okay experience except for the staff. Now, I am trying to move to a smaller apartment within the complex and I’m having the same horrible experience. I’m being tossed around leading agents with no one notifying me until I call (for the hundredth time) and can’t get the leasing agent I think I have on the phone. Now, with this new agent I can’t get a hold of him. He told me he was sending paperwork 2 weeks ago, but have yet to receive it. I’ve emailed him and the apartment complex 3 separate times... no response. I called today, the woman who answered the phone said he would be back in 20 minutes so I left a message and requested a call back, she said he will call me back in 20 minutes. It is now 6 hours later and no call, and the office is closed. This is the second time that has happened. Normally I would just go into the office and I could pressure someone into sitting down with me to get all of my paperwork done, but with COVID-19 I don’t have that option. I have to move in less than a month and I still don’t have my paperwork in order even though I have been extremely on top of it!*** update 2 months later: Noah has worked with us and tried to make up for these experiences. We love our new apartment and have enjoyed living here so far. Its been clear that the apartment complex wants to remedy our attitudes towards the company and has done a great job at doing so. I really do appreciate all of it and it has made me much more satisfied with the service of this organization. However, we still did experience everything we did. If youre going to live here just make your expectations clear from the get go.
I’ve enjoyed living at Cantera and I can’t say enough great things about the maintenance team, as well as the leasing office staff. Not only are they super welcoming whenever I stop in, they take my concerns seriously and do whatever they can to make my stay more comfortable. Most recently, I reached out to Noah and Zach about an issue I needed assistance with and they jumped on it immediately, making sure to communicate with me along the way. Communication is key in a large complex such as this and there’s no shortage of that. I really like it here!
I’ve been here for about a year now and while there are a few things I would change...- Making sure the gates are fixed in a timely manner- Leasing office responsiveness especially with phone calls. The staff really do try their best to make sure your experience as a resident is the best it can be. Zach and Noah are wonderful additions to the team!!! It’s so refreshing to come across people who genuinely care about the work they do and the people they interact with. Can’t beat the value and the price for a Cortland property.
We lived here for half a year and it was generally a pleasant experience. Maintenance was always there when requested and they even have after hours phone attendance for emergency requests. They were also very polite and nice. As far as the leasing office, I always had an amazing experience with David Duncan. He always remembered our names and was extremely helpful. I hope they give him the opportunity to be in a manager position because I know he would be great. I highly recommend talking to him for your leasing needs. I had mixed experiences with the rest of the staff but overall were good. I do think the rent is a bit high considering its still in the process of improvements to the facility and so some facilities are closed or it can get noisy with all the construction. The apartment was beautiful but small for the price. However, the complex is location is amazing if you work in Atlanta (commute is typically smooth). They have 3 gated entrances which is great. There was an issue with an owner leaving their dog loose. I would still recommend it.
I moved in back in about three years ago into a beautiful one bedroom that was newly renovated. This is a place where you will definitely enjoy taking a long walk by the beautiful gardens and green trees in the compound. Safety, residents satisfaction and keeping the community clean has always been management’s top priority. The place has been undergoing a major renovation, where two additional luxuries pool and gym have be built. This location is so convenient for me to get to work, which is 3miles away and also highways 85 and 285 are around the corner. And if you are a coffee lover like me you will get to enjoy a delicious Starbucks Coffee and/ or the different selections of tea that are available in the new leasing office. You will get to enjoy the nice lounge that is new with a high speed WiFi. Maintenance issues are a high priority no matter how small or big of an issue.I have recently renewed my lease and transferred to a different unit. I needed to move to a ground floor since I had initially lived on a 3rd floor. I am so grateful for the OUTSTANDING and first class service/ assistance I have received from Noah Alexander. Noah worked tirelessly by going above and beyond by showing me every apartment units I requested to visit. Despite the multiple units I request to see in one day or in a short notice; he was not only consistent with his responsiveness but that he did it with professionalism and a big smile on his face. My transfer process was smooth and exciting because of his timely support, and the luxury and beautiful apartment I moved in to. Noah’s excellent customer service skills have made my stay at Cantera a welcoming environment. Just last week, GA Natural Gas accidentally discontinued my service due to their error and didn’t come out until four days later. Noah made sure to deliver a space heater and shared the weather conditions for the week to help with my stress. Truly an amazing employee that Cantera is lucky to have. If you reach out to him know that he will take care of you! This is a great community that is clean, quite and with a responsive, pleasant staff members that are always ready to answer your questions and immediately provide a resident-center services with a smile!
I have loved every moment of living at Cantera by Cortland-- from my first property visit to my now 2 weeks as a resident! All of the staff are super kind and attentive. The leasing office agents especially Erika are great.Erika and the community manager went all the way to get me the best deal I could get The things I like about the apartments is the area - very close to the highway and other places like plazas, gas stations, restaurants, retail and more .Service calls are done same or next day. I would recommend this living space to anyone from the Atlanta area or not.
Ive lived here roughly 6 months now. Overall, my experience has been great! Very responsive leasing staff and the maintenance crew is amazing as well. When speaking with their customer assistance recently, Zach Hale has been wonderful in making sure all my needs were met. Thank you Zach for the follow up.
My 2 years at Cantera have been great. We love the atmosphere and the amenities of the complex. Whenever an issue arises the staff, specifically Noah Alexander goes above and beyond his role to ensure they are fixed in a timely manner. Noah personality and attention to detail is superb! The events that he executes for the community are inclusive and allows for participation by all. He continuously strives for excellent customer service. Through the many changes in staff at Cantera, you all have a done a great job of securing Noah for this location.
Definitely one of the nicest apartment complexes around and very affordable for being ITP! The apartments are all renovated with stone kitchen countertops, all black cabinets, vinyl flooring in the common area and carpet in the bedrooms. They have 2 pools, a great dog park, and a surprisingly nice gym for being an apartment gym
Cantera is a great place to live! My experience with this property has been great. When you walk into the leasing office, you definitely get a feel for the entire community. Every member of the office team is friendly and willing to help. I personally love Natalie, shes the best and Jeremiah. Both have been more than willing to assist in anyway they can. The upgrades are beautiful and once the completed this community will be even better!!!
Have lived here for two years now. The location and amenities are a plus; however, if you move here prepare to never have a phone call answered at the leasing office- you’ll need to call at least 7 times to get one, your mail to always be lost or given to another resident, and roaches to always be in your apartment no matter how well you clean or spray repellent. We have had many ups and downs with Cantera and for the ~most~ Part the leasing staff is unhelpful- we did receive help from Zach on multiple occasions though.
We moved into Cantera around the time it changed from Park Pointe North. We were in a newly renovated unit but we had recurring heater/furnace issues - loud bangs from gas buildup when starting up, and weird heat smell from the vents. We were forced to opt out of that unit for safety reasons when we were abruptly woken up at 4am from 2 tripped fire alarms, and the sight and smell of burning smoke coming out of the heater vents. We immediately raised this concern to management as we can no longer bear staying in that unit. We were ready to move out but they offered us a different unit.Noah has been really attentive, helpful and understanding of our issues and needs during the transition. He walked us through the new unit, showed us its detailed service history to make sure wed have a better experience, and waived some transfer fees. We decided to transfer into the unit and were happy now that its way better and with no issues unlike the previous unit. The Cantera service/maintenance team is also great. They are very friendly, professional and quick to respond to service requests.
I dont live in this property but I went on a tour with Olympia this weekend and she was the absolute best!! She was very patient and helpful and took time to explain the process. I would rent here just for her level of care and customer service alone. Thank you for all your help. Side note: The property itself was very clean and the residents all seemed nice.
This location in Chamblee is ideal for a Mercer student or anyone else who wants to live in a cool, diverse suburb of Atlanta. Highway 85 and 285 are both essentially right around the corner from the apartment complex. Basically all the units have been completely renovated in the last 2 years or sooner and a new community gym, leasing office, and pool have been built in the last year. I love the two pools, the brand new gym equipment, and the work area in the leasing office. Overall, the community amenities are clean and excellent. Zach and the rest of the staff at the leasing office are very friendly and are more than willing to take care of any of your needs as a resident. Would highly recommend living here.
The apartment is very nice and quiet. I have been a resident here for a few years and for the most part have no complaints. I am giving it two starts for the lack of service I have been receiving these days. Lately they have been very bad about taking care of maintenance issues. I have been waiting at least 10 days for them to come fix my dishwasher, skin and light and still waiting. I also called and went to the office to ask them to come and spray my apartment for bugs but they have yet to do that. Highly disappointed
I have lived at Cantera since 2014, when it was Park Point North. The old management company was horrible. Since the property has been managed by Cortland. It has been great living here. They cleaned up the whole area. Removed old dead trees. Repainted the property. Repaired and redid both pools. The new pool looks like something you would see at the Westin. The new Gym is pretty sweat. I actually use it and work out there now. I was going to move out last year. However, with all the new amenities. Its worth it to stay, until I buy my own place. Erika, Hana and everyone at the front office are great! Reggie does a great job of taking care of the property.
Edit: Noah is the BEST. If he ran this whole place itd be five star worthy in my book!!Ive been waiting a long time to finally write this review, because I did not want to give my home a one star. However, after giving the office many chances to improve my experience, they have failed. My boyfriend and I were extremely excited to move to Cantera. The apartment interiors are beautiful and the amenities are like a luxury resort. We literally believed we would have a luxury experience here (you sure do pay for one). The leasing office was extremely accommodating during the process of signing our lease, but once we signed, they practically disappeared. Communication was suddenly severed. I soon realized that it is almost impossible to speak to anyone in the office without actually showing up there. They do not answer calls or return emails.Right away we noticed that our upstairs neighbors seemed extremely loud. I have never before lived in an apartment, so I decided it was most likely normal. Soon, I would enter my home and it would smell like someone had been smoking weed inside. I realized some of my neighbors must have been smoking indoors. Then the bad sleep started. We began waking up in the wee hours of the morning to stomping or music playing loudly above us. I left my neighbors a note on their door, emailed the office, called, and it kept continuing. I understand that disrespectful neighbors can be tricky and out of the control of the office. However, I feel almost that we are being punished, since the only option they have given us is to uproot our lives and move, with the provisions of this being that we MUST be on the top floor. As if we are too much of a burden when we have nothing to do with causing the issue. Also, the apartment is advertised as a safe, gated community. However, my friends car was stolen in the middle of the night. No one ever even notified our community. The gates are NEVER closed, so my friends and I began asking them to please fix the gates since there had obviously been people with bad intentions lurking around our homes at night. Currently, the gate closest to me is closed, yet no ones key card is allowing them to come in. The center gate still remains always open. Also currently, no ones card is working for the gym, even though it is open 24/7. My boyfriend and I have both been yelled at by staff because asking to be let into the gym is such an annoyance to the employees here. Maintenance will also take up to a month to finish an order.Clearly, once the employees get a sale, they no longer care about the residents being comfortable in their homes. I am extremely disappointed by choosing Cantera as my home. It really stinks that just because the office cannot get it together, a community capable of being amazing is such a horrible experience.
Its been amazing living in Cantera for the past four months since we relocated to Atlanta. Nicole in the leasing office has always been of great help for us. When we first came to check out this property, its was one of those hottest days of summer and we drove 6 hours one way on that day. She found this out from our conversation and packed chilled water, drinks and snacks for myself and my wife. This is an example of how thoughtful and caring she is for the residents. Cantera in general has lots of amenities and your concerns are taken care of really well. I highly recommend this property.
I have been living at Cantera for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. The renovations are amazing and the amenities are too but, it’s the exceptional service I’m here to talk about . No matter what they are doing when you walk in they will stop to acknowledge your presence it makes you want to come to the office more. A staff member I would like to highlight is Noah. He’s a great hire though he’s one of the new leasing agents he fits the Cantera Brand really well. He has always displayed excellent customer service skills and he has always found a way to say yes and for that I am very blessed to be apart of this community . THANK YOU CANTERA FAMILY !!
Cantera is a amazing property. Everyone in their staff is nice and welcoming. As I am looking for apartments, I had the great opportunity to have Erika give me a well descriptive tour. She answered all my questions and was very patient in the process. She is an example of the great customer service they have there. The renovations are beautiful! I will definitely be considering this location as my next move in.
1. The gates should be closed most of the time. At least one of the gates has been open for all but maybe a week of my year lease.2. I pay $300 more per month than my next door neighbor with the same size/layout apartment.3. People definitely smoke on the property.4. When someone followed me home (all the way to my door because the gate wouldnt close), it took me 3 days and multiple contact attempts before someone at the leasing office got back to me about when the gate would be closed and she told me the gate isnt meant to be secure anyway, just call the cops?5. I lose packages and mail all of the time because theyre put into the wrong mailbox or put on the floor of the parcel room rather than put in a box. I dont understand why the leasing office cant hold onto the extra boxes to ensure that theyre secure. (picture of parcel room included)6. The maintenance guy came into my apartment twice without an appointment even though I put on the maintenance request that they didnt have my permission to enter without an appointment. Why even have that as an option if theyre not going to respect my wishes?7. People rarely clean up their dog’s poop.
Leasing Partner Noah was extremely knowledgeable & patient with me! I had many questions during our tour, he did not mind. Im very grateful that I chose Cantera as my new home, the Community is beautiful, true representation like the website pictures & thankfully to Noah it was a stress free transition.
I’m attending Mercer for grad school, so Park Pointe/Cortland was the best option considering traffic and price. Before choosing to live here, I had heard rumors of it being poorly managed/not that great/etc. but I soon heard they had new management that was doing fantastic so I looked further into it and loved it! (AKA ignore any bad reviews, because theyre probably from a few years ago!) For the price, this is a great option for living and I’ve really loved the office staff so far. And the updated apartments are so nice! I cant brag more about the staff- they are ALWAYS willing to help me, to go out of their way for me, to make my stay here 100x better! David has by far been the most helpful and has taken care of every problem/concern/question Ive had for the past year, no matter how small! If you are ever looking to sign a lease at Cantera, go to David! I truly couldnt speak more highly of the staff. For instance, I had a huge (and I mean HUGE) package at the front office and not 1, not 2, not 3.. but FOUR staff helped me get it to my car! I also once had maintenance problems late at night that I needed fixed that night.. and they came to my apartment within 1 HOUR to fix it with a smile on their face! Also, the complex is getting more and more updated by the day- which is AWESOME! Im so excited for the new leasing office/gym/pool coming soon! There are always landscapers working so hard to make it look pretty too. And Ive even noticed some apartments getting new windows!! I highly recommend living here, especially to any grad students at Mercer/young adults. Great price, good location, great staff.
Awesome place to stay. Been here for nearly 6 months now and I have no complaints. Staff is great, maintenance is professional and treat you like family! Nicole was my leasing agent...she was not only knowledgeable but she also made the process super easy and less stressful. Reggie is a great manager. Love Cantera! Can’t wait for the new pool!
My experience living in Cantera has been amazing! If you ever want to come check out these apartments ask for Nicole! She is the best leasing agent there is. Nicole made the transition to moving to a renovated apartment so much easier for me and my fiancé. Keep up the good work!
I have lived here since it was Park Pointe North a year ago. I am going into my second year living here and I must say I love my apartment. The renovations are simply amazing and for where I work it is a great location. The reason for such a low rating is due to the staff. I work in retail management so my level of customer service expectations are pretty high due to what is expected of me every time Im at work. When I went to do my move in, after living there for a year prior-- all I was doing was moving to a renovated unit, I was giving terrible service which prompted me to call corporate to have the issue resolved. The day I was to move in to my new unit, no one had the proper paperwork and what should have been a simple 30 minute process, took 2 hours. I have sat in the leasing office and watched them look at the phones ring, which drives me insane to see because it is at least 6 people in the office at the time. I was recently in a terrible car accident. I have attempted to get in contact with the office numerous times and NO ONE will answer the phone. Typically I would just go to the office but being that the accident caused severe injuries I cant do that at this time. Overall, living at Cantera by Cortland has been pleasant. It is not a noisy neighborhood and I feel safe. The only improvement would be to have people in the office who are genuine people persons and can provide exceptional customer service no matter what.
If porch pirate is someone that steals newly delivered packages from other peoples porches, what wold you call someone that steals newly delivered packages from an apartments secured mail delivery room ?Here at Rosemont formerly known Cantera by Cortland, newly delivered packages were not safe before and are not safe now.I lived here for last three years and continue to live. The first two years packages were delivered to leasing office, they were safe. Then with renovation they introduced lockers. When there are no enough lockers, or packages dont fit in, packages are left inside the delivery room. Thats when the thief steals. This is a gated community and the mail room is accessed with a key. Who the thief could be is up to your imagination!
I have lived here almost a year totally love it .The leasing agents are always very helpful especially Noah he is the best always so helpful and friendly . Maintenance always comes quickly and they do a great job. As well as the staff that keeps everything around the property nice and clean .
The facilities are great here! The new pool is nice and the old pool is less crowded. The apartments are also really nice and they have a lot of newly renovated places. The lobby is also very nice, but I wish the lounge area had hours that were longer (especially weekend hours)! Thanks to the friendly staff as well!
I’ve lived here for a year and a half now. The complex in general is nice. For the most part it’s a quiet community living area. Probably a better choice compared to the other apartment rentals close by. I’m disappointed the gate is always open. It would be nice to receive communication about changes with the office staff. The new pool is nice, but things can get a little out of control after office hours. It’s suppose to be a smoke free living environment but my apartment smells like weed when the people above me smoke. They’re just inconsiderate in general. They’re very heavy footed when walking so it sounds like Bigfoot lives above me. It sounds like a game of bowling is happening every night. They have no regards or could careless about a family living below them. The ceilings are very low as well so this doesn’t help the situation at all. I’ve talked to the office staff but nothing has been done. Guess that’s just some of the drawbacks when you don’t live on the top floor or have decent people who are mindful about others around them.
We’ve lived here about 11 months…PROS: Great location and I havent met a person who works here (inside the office or around the property) that hasnt been respectful. The renovated apartments themselves are really nice. Definitely spacious and upgraded which is worth the price that we got at the time we leased. The property is truly a gem and I’m sure it will be even more sought after in the future. I would assume I could eventually give it more stars when construction is completed. I recommend touring for sure.CONS: The amenities that still havent come. When we were looking for apartments, all of the photos on the website had Coming in October written on them then that was taken off and we were told December then when we asked about the leasing office moving to the newly renovated one they said in January but they still havent moved. Now they are saying May, but honestly the office workers themselves don’t really believe what they are saying. They say they want everything (gym, new leasing office, pool, tech center) to open together now and that’s what’s holding things up but that’s upsetting considering some of the stuff like the fully equipped and ready gym cannot be used because they want everything that they promised (a very long time ago) to be opened together. The worst part about this is that given the price we’ve been paying, we assumed we would get to enjoy these amenities (the new gym, leasing office, community center, etc.), but now it looks like we’ll be coming to the end of our lease without seeing them. Also, my husband’s car got hit in the parking lot (badly - like new bumper type of hit). And of course there was no way to track the person that did this as no cameras are allowed in the parking lot. Parking is a little difficult sometimes but I think once construction eventually ends that will free up more spaces. The parking lot itself has a good number of potholes that should be filled. And then the front gates could work a bit better - they close one of them but leave the other open and I’ve seen several residents just drive through the exit gate to bypass the closed lever.Again, location is great. The people working here are awesome (slightly overworked but still extremely respectful and helpful). My husband’s car getting hit was irritating and we wished they could give us more of an explanation but it is understandable that they don’t have cameras in the lot. I have never felt unsafe here and I believe that the property will be spectacular soon but with the amount of time construction is taking - it’s just disappointing that we haven’t seen what had been promised just yet. It will be a year before they have the amenities that were strongly advertised at the beginning of our lease and the only reason we stayed is because they did not increase our rent and it would’ve been more of a hassle to move. If they would’ve increased - even a little - it would not have been worth living in a complex paying for amenities we could never enjoy. Before you lease here please take into consideration that if they’re promising you something, it probably will not come when they say it will.
The worst apartment complex I have ever been apart of! They lied on multiple instances about the amenities, and even lied about the terms of my lease. I was told the new gym and pool would open during my lease time, and it never happened. To put the cherry on top, I needed a 3 month lease for an internship, and they lied about the terms on the contract. Dont get scammed by this money hungry complex, and make sure to read all of the reviews. The only reason this complex has somewhat of a good rating is because they give gift cards for leaving positive reviews. Highly recommend spending the extra money to have a peaceful living situation, because this place is the complete opposite.
Ive lived on this property since it was owned by Post. I have remained here because my apartment is nicely laid out with ample storage space and a generous sized balcony. Im very excited about the remodeling that is underway by Cortland Partners. Hard floors everywhere except the bedrooms! The kitchen remodel is my favorite. The finishes are lovely and Im really impressed with the new space planning in the kitchen. The counter space has been increased so one could now cook a decent sized meal. The staff is very courteous and helpful. What few requests Ive made have been promptly addressed to my satisfaction. Maynard Stamper, the Property Manager is professional yet approachable and fair. I look forward to residing in my apartment for many years to come.
I moved to Cantera Nov. 2019 and honestly love it. The complex is nice (especially the gym) but the staff are what make everything so welcoming. Zach is my favorite, he’s literally the perfect mix of being professional while having fun energy. If you’re thinking about living at Cantera but hate the hassle of moving to a new place, ask for him he basically takes care of everything!
Great property all around; I definitely recommend asking for Noah in the leasing office. I recently had a visit at this apartment complex && Noah was very informative, and a pleasure to be around! Received good feedback from a current tenant, that I met in the office -- she has lived at this property for the past 2yrs and loves it. Currently applying, hope to live here soon.
Cantera by Cortland fell in my lap as an apartment choice so it was a smooth transition when I moved in. The things I like about the apartments is the area - very close to the highway and other places like plazas, gas stations, restaurants, retail stores and more. The leasing office agents are great and service calls are done same or next day. I would recommend this living space to anyone from the Atlanta area or not.
I’ve been with Cantera by Cortland since November. From the moment I walked through the door of the leasing office to inquire about living here, I felt at home! Kiara McNeill was so friendly and available to answer every question I had! She was patient and kind and helped me find my perfect apartment! On move in day, Noah Alexander helped me with the final paperwork and performed my walkthrough. He was thorough and made sure I had everything I needed to feel at home. I’m so glad to call this place home and to have awesome consultants like Noah and Kiara. The biggest thing that stands out to me with this property is that every time I walk into the office for assistance, I am greeted with a smile and called by my name. I’ve never met an office who treated each of its residents like family. Great work guys! Thanks for all you do! ❤️
I have been a resident at Park Pointe North since mid December 2011. I have seen the ups and downs in management; however, I am thrilled that our current management team is on board. They are working so diligently in the renovations and this has been a HUGE boost in the community’s morale here. People I run into are asking ‘have you seen what’s new?” Or, “have you gone to the circuit training yet?’ As I get to see the differing phases and meet the staff, I am glad I am here. One improvement I’ve seen is larger direction signage WOO-WOO😊. As a resident with a low-vision disability, being able to read the signage is really a sight for sore eyes. I look forward to seeing the building numbers go up next! The office staff is awesome-just plain awesome.. They know who you are. They engage. Are attentive. Make themselves available to assist in any way they can. Maintenance staff response is great as well. Any issues that have arisen are taken care of reasonably and/or without delay. Follow up on service requests are made promptly and satisfaction is their top priority.Residents are kept informed of activity, in and around our community; kept up to date on renovations and repairs, even what measures we can take to protect ourselves in inclimate weather! The amenities, social events, open house - everything about our community is good. We’re off to a good start with a “satisfaction guaranteed” finish. Our Community Leasing Manager and Peer Coach, Maynard Stamper is such a blessing. He is greatly respected and loved❤️ (I talk about him in a good way all the time). The construction crew, construction management, on-site workers, staff, maintenance-(heck, even the dog😜) are great. Everyone is informed, great at information-sharing, concerned and take time to hear us; are welcoming, courteous, and we love and appreciate them!I am happy here at Park Pointe North.
I just wanted to take the time to thank you for allowing me to stay in this complex. Every time I pull into the gate I feel safe. Each time I look at the finishes in this apartment I am amazed. I thank Kenzie for her kindness and making sure I was okay at all times. The staff is amazing and I’m settling in just fine.
As soon as Cortland took over, all of my issues have been addressed. Love this place! Wish the new renovated units werent as pricey but, my god they are GORGEOUS!! Maintenance was very fast and fixed everything you needed either the same day or within the next 24-48 hrs. The community is spotless, there are even a few blueberry trees by the community garden. Pools always look great, my neighbors are amazing. One of the best apartments Ive ever lived in.
UPDATE: today was my birthday and it got off to a rough start. I went from walking to the leasing office with tears in my eyes from frustration to heading off to work with a huge smile! After going to the leasing office this morning and talking with Noah my day got 100% better. My original review was 4⭐️, but I came back to give the 5th because of him. If you’re looking to lease here, ask for him! Thanks again Noah!I really appreciate this community. One thing that is really important to me is a reliable maintenance team, and I definitely have one here. Any issues I’ve had have been resolved within a 2 day max. Safe quiet community. Very clean. The only two things I wish were better; pest control (roaches can be a problem) and there’s mold on the wall by my shower head. All in all the good far outweighs the bad in my opinion. I’m on my second lease.
We have lived at Cantera (previously known as Park Pointe North) for almost 13 years now and we have always had the best experience. The maintenance team always assisted us in a timely manner and everyone in the leasing office are excellent and fine people, especially Noah who is always waiting to help people with the biggest smile on his face and ready to try and solve any concerns one may have. Thank you Cantera team
I have lived here for almost 3 years now. I was very happy when Cortland took over and remodeled the whole complex. However, their lack of communication and concern about serious problems on the property are making me think about breaking my lease. I have put in a service request because of seen several snakes on the property. Not only have I seen them but several other neighbors in different buildings have seen them as well. We all have pictures and nothing is being done about it. No one seems to care. We have a new program here called parcel pending that allows us to pick up our packages via lockers. If the packages are there for more than 3 days, there is a fee. The program has not started because at least 50% of the complex has not signed up for it. The last communication we received about it was on 5/24/19. Today is 7/8/19. We have no idea when the program will be implemented and honestly we shouldn’t have to email or call to find out. We can be notified about Zumba classes and a smoke free environment but not about what’s going on with our packages. Mind blowing. Just because the aesthetics of the property are appealing now, does not mean the customer service is at 100%. Looks are deceiving. The hardware on the drawers are falling apart. I’m just very very disappointed. My rent went up quite a bit when the units were remodeled and I thought I would be getting what I’m paying for. I am not and I don’t think I will be here when my lease is up for renewal.
I’ve lived in Cantera for a year and a half and it’s been a dream living here. They truly care about their residents and making the experience of living here easy and fun. The office staff is great and always helpful, particularly Noah! I’ve lived in many apartment complexes in different cities and my experience with Cantera makes me always want to live in a Cortland complex.
Two months in and so far, so good! What I love most is the location. The apartments sit right off of 285 and 85. How convenient?! I also love our leasing representative/consultant David. He was such a great help when touring the property and moving us in. He even gave us a move in package full of cleaning supplies.
I have been living at Cantera for four years now. I have seen the transition from Pinnacle to Cortland Management and they have done an amazing job. The renovations are amazing and location is great. I can safely say that this amazing area and I highly recommend. The staff cares and listens.
PART ONE:I am currently living here and have been for 2 1/2 years . My husband and I has definitely seen this property at its worst. When we first moved here, The property management company was Pinnacle and they were absolutely terrible, to the 100th power! They completely neglected this property and its residents and they even destroyed our documentation so that we could not get our referral fee. Pinnacle promised to have our unit ready and it was not the walls weren’t painted back in its original color, dishwasher was dismantled and the cabinets were in terrible condition. So if you are ever thinking about living at a pinnacle property, don’t even waste your time or money they clearly are just out to get a dime without any responsibility to their customers.PART TWO:Now, presently the property is owned by Cortland living and they have done a pretty good job and turning this property around. They’ve been updating the property for a little over a year and a half, so of course dealing with all the construction and water shut offs has been difficult and not pleasant at all. Overall, the property aesthetically feels and looks beautiful, but there are some cons. The renovated unit that my husband and I moved into a year ago sustained us many issues in the beginning.Firstly, when we moved in, our unit has a thermostat (Nest) that did not work, meaning it was installed incorrectly. So the first month, we did not have heat in the middle of January. They did offer give us a mini floor heater but the thermostat should’ve been working in the first place.Secondly, thirdly, and fourthly, our shower head was improperly installed; it was literally wobbling in the wall, the refrigerator was preventing the pantry door from opening completely, which required maintenance to come in and take the door down and relocate to open in the opposite direction, the paint was poorly finished, resulting in maintenance coming to finish the paint in the bathroom and in the living room. Some of the cabinetry was chipped, the pipes underneath the sink were too short and starting leaking and had to be replaced. LASTLY, our apartment door lock stripped and therefore, locking us inside the apartment. Yep so we couldn’t exit our apartment until we reached out to maintenance to completely remove the external locks off the door to open it. So yeah not safe at all. The finishes are nice and modern, but not child friendly because the drawers, pulls, bathroom sink faucet and knobs have sharp edges.Presently, after finally having everything fixed, which it should have been that way before we moved in, it’s a pretty quiet nice living location. The prices are a little much for all the hassle we’ve had. I’m definitely going to keep looking for other places to live but it’s up to your discretion. Moving into any rental property is always a risk.My suggestion to cortland is to continue cultivating a warm welcoming environment for your residents I really appreciate it, but slow down and pay attention to detail, no one should have to deal with as many problems as we had to deal with; especially moving into a newly renovated unit. It’s just not fair and not very understanding of our time and needs you upoagreed to meet upon moving in .
Cantera is going down in stars for my latest review, because the mailroom has been neglected and has become a playground for possible thieves. Unfortunately many residents including myself are experiencing a sudden uptick in missing packages because they are no longer using lockers and simply dropping them off on the floor. This is a large “3-phase/part” apartment community and currently we only have one mail locker room as opposed to two. These pics serve as evidence of a major disconnect between Cantera management and the shipping/delivery companies. The vendors are no longer using the lockers...it appears the system is broken. Either way something needs to be done. We need an update on this ASAP due to the importance of many of these packages.
I moved in several years ago. I liked it at first. The management and maintenance were fine, and then they got bought out by Pinnacle, and you know what that means......whenever you have new management, its always all down hill from there. They kept one or two good people around to manage the property, but then they brought in incompetent robots who do not know how to read statements. Also rent goes up every year, and they are doing a bunch of stupid remodeling on the outside and a few units so they can get new people into them. Lets see.....of course there are multiple burglaries and a robbery involving a gun about a month or so ago. Later, on the day of the robbery, I decided to call the leasing office to just simply ask what they were doing about renovations. I let her tell me, and not one time did she mention anything about security, like installing cameras, fixing the gates, alarms, or anything. So I told her that it was good to know that even though your tenants are being robbed, that management is still doing nothing about security. I would have given these apartments 3 starts for the first 2 to 3 years. I think the best advise I can give is that whenever you see an apartment banner that says NEW MANAGEMENT, run for the hills.
I came to Cantera to take care of a client of mine and loved how spacious and peaceful this place is. Immediately following her appointment I went to the leasing office where I met the dapper Noah Alexander who guided me through the process of leasing my apartment amazingly. Thanks again for all your help, I love my apartment.
I really love Cantera. The office team is overly nice and willing to do whatever they need to do in order to make sure their residents are happy! Renovations can be a lot but overall the community is extremely nice! If you have any leasing questions, I suggest you see David, he moved me in!
Ive been a resident since January 2016 I can honestly say things have changed for the better since Cortland took over!! I definitely overlooked a lot of the issues and horrible property management prior to Cortland because this was a great location with really affordable Rent. But I can now really say I am staying at Park Pointe for more reasons than affordable Rent. The staff in the front office are truly helpful and actually seem concerned when we have issues. Turn around for those issues is really good and they have also just improved the property overall. No place is perfect of course but I can thankfully say I havent had any complaints this year.
Ok so far they have great customer service. Some of appliances need replacement though. Otherwise the place is clean quiet with no drama from neighbors. I like the management team here , they really work hard to meet residents needs. Cons: Need a better and clean gym , rent increases exponentially every time you are renewing
Erika Andrade u my girl always very kind and professional on all you do. I really appreciate all your effort, always trying to do the right thing and always helping the residents on any issue they might have at the moment. Very quick responsive from her when you contact her for any problem that u have on your apartment and always with the right answer to make your self clear on any misunderstanding u have. Keep it like that girl and stay strongI 100% recommend Erika if it just for looking out, moving in or if u are a resident and it needs help with anythingAnd of course my community Cantera I love this apartment very quick maintenance response on any request you submit very quite place to live in and a lot more from them and it just great complex for living I love it all from here thank cantera’s team
Im giving them 5-stars for effort. I moved in a month ago and Ive had three service requests which have all been completed within 24hrs. This morning my shower had low pressure and the sink was dripping so I put in a service request before work and by the time I came back from work it was all replaced with new shower heads and faucets that are working great. When I moved Kayla said they were under new management and trying to improve and so far so good for me. The only complaint I have is the pest control situation. I will put in a request for that too. This is only based on a month of living here so take it with a grain of salt. Every 6months I will update this review to reflect their performance so they better keep up the good work or I will star them down.
Noah Alexander has been an absolute pleasure to work with during my move out process. He was very informative and understanding during this stressful transition. I’ve lived in the complex since 2017 and Noah has been the most memorable and professional employee at the complex. Please keep Noah around, he’s awesome!!
I actually visited this place a couple weeks ago, and fell in love. The customer service was fantastic! Drew was the one who actually showed me around, great personality and very informative. I was shown a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom. The interior is amazing, Im not to fund of the exterior, I feel it can use some work in that area, as in landscaping and the apartment itself. But overall Im very satisfied and cannot wait to move in as soon as a renovated 2bedroom come available!
Reviews regarding the office staff and how terrible they are are 100% accurate. My lease ended here nearly 4 months ago and since then I have been getting the run around about my security deposit. They all act as if they know what theyre doing but nothing seems to ever get done. In the 10 months I lived here there were multiple maintenance issues, overcharges on monthly rent, and lost documentation (had to bring in my notice to leave at least 4 times). This place isnt even worth one star. Save yourself the headache and avoid it at all costs!
The location is the KEY draw to this property. It is easy to get to 85 and 285 and not far from all other major highways. My work is just 5 miles from this property. We are 10 miles north of mid-town Atlanta. The property is under major renovations (hence only 3 stars) but our manager promises it will be worth the temporary inconvenience. He is experienced with other properties Cortland has renovated and he assures us it will be beautiful.Since becoming a Cortland property in 12/16 - the manager has been very diligent to have activities and meet&greets for the neighbors. Especially things for the children - as with the upcoming Halloween activities in the leasing office 10/31. They are trying their best to create a sense of community.Again, cannot beat the location!!!!! And we all know how stressing traffic in Atlanta can be!!!!
I just moved in the complex on Sept 15 and I am happy to say I am very comfortable. The leasing office is busy, but I believe this is due to the amount of people that live on property. Ms. Pam, the maintenance manager, is very nice and so far responds very quickly to all request, and I am given a timeline of when the problem will be resolved if the maintenance staff cannot come the next day. I look forward to living here until I purchase a home and hope the property continues to improve :)
What a find! Lovely apartment complex inside and out. I recently toured this location with Noah and fell in love with the apartment, amenities, community programs and the staff. Im excited to call this place home and am happy I can end my stressful search of finding an affordable AND nice apartment in Atlanta.
I visit Cantera often because my bestfriend moved in last November; since I have felt nothing less than Welcome each time. Zach who works with the leading office is super kind and helpful. I would highly recommend visiting, and if youre looking for a great home Id start there!
My boyfriend and I have lived here over a year now and we really appreciate all Cantera has done. Noah has been extremely helpful through the moving process to a bigger unit for us within the complex. He has made the process easy and we are very grateful. Thank you for your help Noah!
Park Pointe North has a great office staff the manager Maynard is super knowledgeable and helpful to all the residence also his assistant manager Jeremiah is just as wonderful and will help you to the best of his ability and all the leasing agents will try their best to make you feel quite at home they will answer all your questions give you all the information you need about the community and the maintenance staff is super they try to make sure that everything thats requested to be fixed is fixed, and they tried to give the resident enough information to understand the work that has been done and there unit. Park Pointe North is a wonderful Community come join us
Kayla Hermey is the best!! She took me on a tour in March and I ended up signing a lease that day. She explained how Cortland Partners had recently purchased the property and all of the new changes and renovations going on. She was friendly, straight forward when answering all of my questions and on top of everything. Every time I go to the leasing office, I am greeted with a smile and hello. All of the new cortland staff are great & very helpful! Glad to see all of the new landscaping improvements when I come home from work and looking forward to the new gates! Thanks for all you do to ensure all residents have a great living experience at Park pointe!
I hate having to change my review of this place, but the quality has highly decreased both in property and management. I have lived here for years and until December of last year never had any problems. Cortland partners has only ever been able to help an issue when I go outside my office and straight to corporate. The manager apparently has no control over anything and cannot handle any problems on property himself. For the last two months, my water bill has been much higher than it has ever been, yet they are turning off our water MANY times thru the month. In August, it was 7 different days with no water. September was 5 days. All while having extremely high water bills. I do know we are billed on a community average so after a couple months I went to the office because less usage + higher bill doesnt make sense. The manager of course could do nothing to help or fix the situation, and construction is expected to continue thru the end of 2018 YAY! All the construction has left the property an unsafe mess with equipment/tools, plaster, and other debris lining the stairwells and hallways. I have always loved living here until the last few months and now just cant wait to get out. Used to be a good value for a safe, decent place to live.
Nice apartments. However, I have been waiting for a month to get my administrative fee back! I’ve called and email everyone and nobody EVER return my calls or emails. It is becoming frustrating. What is the point of taking a message, if it is not going to returned and get neglected.
It wouldnt let me leave a review by clicking no stars, otherwise thats what I would have done. I rarely leave reviews, but I feel as a public service its necessary to prevent headaches and hair-pulling from potential tenants in this ratchet rats nest. Heres one example of my misery. I ordered a package abroad that came to me via USPS. They dropped it at the leasing office at the beginning of March. More than once I asked an employee at the leasing office (different each time) to check to see if I had a package. Each time I was told I did not have a package. When I called USPS to see what was going on, they told me the package was marked as unclaimed and was being sent back to the sender. Great! So no one at the leasing office had the care or intelligence, one or the other, to tell me I had a package! This is on top of the fact that you continuously are punished/inconvenienced/fined for doing what you are supposed to do; every time I renewed my lease those idiots lost my proof of insurance. Once, I renewed a lease in July, and in November I began to be charged month-to-month rates since I had not renewed, even though I had clearly spoken with someone in July to renew. I cant get past how much of a joke this place is. Dont plan on dropping outgoing mail in the mailbox station near the dumpster, because that thing is perpetually broken. Dont fall for the location (you can get to the freeway by only going through one traffic signal at most), you as a prospective tenant can do better than this. I promise you.
I have lived here for almost five years now and appreciate the changes the new management team have made throughout the community. I thank Noah in the leasing office for his recent help, as he went out of his way to make sure I was happy and things were done in a timely manner.
What A Great Experience ! I Had Been Looking For An Apartment’s For About 3 Months. I Wanted To Make Sure I Was Making The Right Choice & Came Across Cantera By Cortland & Spoke With Zach Hale He Was Absolutely Amazing From The Time I Walked In The Door This Place Felt Like Home, He Gave A Great Tour, Had Valid Information For Any Question I Asked Or Wasn’t Sure About. He Helped Keep Me Updated Through My Whole Process, Made Sure My Apartment Was As Clean As Can Be Before Moving In. If You’re Considering Moving Here It Would Be A Great Choice & Be Sure To Speak With Zach He Was Very Informative. Glad To Say I’m Officially Apart Of #CORTLANDLIFE
Andrew Kuzmik gives STELLAR customer service! I have been living at PPN for 2 years now and to say its been a BUMPY ride would be an understatement. The previous management of the property was THE WORST, but Cortland has really put forth a lot of effort to clean this place up. I was offered the opportunity to move into their upgraded units, although, it was suggested when they took over the property that residents would at least get another year in their unit before being forced out. As a result of still liking this area, its proximity to our jobs, and the last minute planning it would take to move, we decided to renew our lease. Unfortunately, this came at a +$250 price hike in our rent. The renovated units are nice, however, we were extremely disappointed at how we were led on previously. We were thankful to get Andrew, who was very helpful in the renewal process by going above and beyond to find us the best unit that would fit our lengthy list of things that we needed in order to stay here, and he was able to take care a few of them. The manager of the property didnt seem to care that we were upset with the absurdly high change in pricing on rent and didnt offer to meet with us, nor discuss any deals or specials that we would be able to use in response to the over $200 hike in rent. When in the office, he didnt even bother to greet or ask if there was anything he could do. While the maintenance has gotten more efficient, the complex turns off the water in our building practically every other day and they never adhere to the scheduled time they tell us the water would be back on and there has been plenty of days where the water was turned off at 8am and not restored until well after 4 or 5am the following day. Complaining and reasoning with the manager rarely results in anything, as he is very non-chalant and often places the complex as the victim and the tenant as the issue. Since living here weve had contractors found sleeping in our garage, neighbors parked within it, theft and vandalism to vehicles, and continuous confrontation from unleashed dogs. Contractors park wherever they want on the property, regardless if they block your vehicle and you have somewhere to be.. expect to honk your horn and walk door to door to find who is blocking you. A few of the leasing agents offer great empathy and assistance to the residents while others treat the job as just a place they come to and leave, and not as if people live here and pay TONS of money to do so. I give Andrew 5 stars for service, the property itself 2.5 stars and the central location a 4. Overall, I cant give this property more than 3 stars because they have a long way to go from duplicate email marketing messages, inconveniently timed community gatherings (most occur when the average person is working or commuting to work 9-5), a fancy website, and a half renovated property.
They deserve less than zero stars. At this point Im pretty sure they intentionally swindled me out of the $150 application and administration fee and never had any intention of ever leasing me the apartment. After paying and getting approved I never heard back from them. I called over and over again and my leasing agent Taresah said she would call me to give me the necessary documents to continue the process but she never did. I finally decided to take my search elsewhere. The fee is non-refundable after 72 hours so there goes that.I really hoped I wouldnt be one of the people writing a bad review but here I am. If I were you I would run the other way when you see Park Pointe North in your apartment search.
Paid about $300 for my husband and I to complete an online leasing application, we were told we could move in WEDNESDAY and it was pushed back to Friday. No one has answered any calls so my husband called and they pretty much just sat the phone down and let him remain on hold. its been an entire week later and no one has responded and we still don’t have keys.
Ive been a resident here for a few years and I have been highly impressed with the new management, Cortland Partners. The improvements to the units and grounds have made a huge difference and the staff here is great! David Duncan assisted me several times and he is extremely pleasant and thorough and afterwards followed up with me to see if everything was taken care of.
I was referred to cantera by a dear friend. Noah assisted me Friday m beginning to end. The process was lengthy due to Christmas and new years bit the approval was very quick!! What stood out the most was noah’s kindness which means the most to me because you people dont know how to be kind anymore. The apartment is fabulous as well as the amenities. I didn’t get to meet the property manager so i cant say if they are friendly or not. Noah did ho above and beyond for us as we made a request for a door addition and noah was able to get it Approved !! I look forward to creating memories at this facility!!! Thank you Noah !! Your the greatest god bless you 😊
After renovations I got priced out.Its not as if they added more space or square footage.Dont get me wrong, I had a great experience while living there. The amenities are great. Courtesy patrol was there but youd never know it unless you needed them.Location, location, location....what more can I say?But I wont change my rating because the average rent increasewas between $250 - $400.Gentrification much?
Worst management team, I lived there for a year in a 2 bed room apartment, moved out recently, the AC hardly worked in the master bedroom, paste control wasnt effective throughout the year, had an awful experience while moving, they didnt provide me any checklist what needs to be done before moving, I try to clean the apartment as much as possible, guess what they charge me $250 just for cleaning, they want you to clean everything they way you got it in first day.Tips for future resident1. Try to write down your communication with the management as much as possible for future reference, you never know when you need it.2. Every time you visit leasing office write down whom you are talking and what they are suggesting, you might find a big gap over the time.3. Try to clean your apartment by yourself, dont put anything inside otherwise they gonna charge as much as they can for the sake of cleaning, dont forget to clean dish washer, fridge, kitchen top.4. Never trust leasing office employees word, make it written.Tips for management1. Try to be transparent and help your resident by providing as much info as you can, dont hide any hidden cost especially while moving2. Do a pre-inspection before residents leaving and hint them how much you are gonna charge, it will help them3. Maintain a visiting book whenever your resident visited your leasing office employee, write down the discussion, it will help both party in future.4. Charge your resident reasonably when applicable.
I am currently a resident and I absolutely hate it. The staff is lazy and they just make excuses for everything. Every time I ask a question nobody knows the answer. They just say what ever they can just for you to sign the least. The apartments are filled withbugs and they have a terrible terminator. I requested for him to come buy and he just sprayed it directly on the floor almost causing my to trip in my own kitchen. You can tell that the people who work here are just there for a check and not to provide good service. This is one of many complaints I have made about this swamp hole apartment complex! Dont move here!!!! I absolutely hate this place! I called the front office because our air conditioning wasnt work and they said anything over 80 degrees was an emergency so they would send someone. 4 hours later nobody came so I called back and the maintenance lady said they would deal with it tomorrow! I am literally laying here and I am sweating!
Both Shanice and Noah showed exceptional friendliness while showcasing the unique reasons Cantera is a good spot to live. Having looked at a list of properties that type of welcome and experience certainly help this one stand out. Thank you for the commitment to ensuring I understand bottom-line details and my understanding of immediate and long-term information.
My entire experience has been nothing but wonderful since the day I walked in to apply for my unit. The staff is amazing. They even offered me not only tea/cofee but chocolate as well. Ms Caroline, Noah and Zach all had encounters with me regarding my unit and went above and beyond to meet my request. I have been nothing short of impressed thus far and looking forward to a very long stay with this complex. Thx for being GREAT!
I would give it both less and more stars. Heres why. (Ive lived here for a little over half a year).Pros:- The apartments are fine.- The quality of neighbors is exceptional and international and wonderful, friendly and great.- Even though there are over 700 apartments in the complex, the setup and design of buildings and green places is well thought out, aesthetic and doesnt feel crowded or busy.- Safe for kids, plenty of kids around here and there to play.- Pool, gyms and tennis courts are great.- Most of the full time staff who work under the management are skilled, responsive, polite, and do the best they can under the circumstances.Cons:- The management is probably among the worst I have experienced in this country. (Aside from one, Alex, who is great and follows through quickly and gets things done.)- It is not possible to call the management office by phone, they have a 3rd party answering service that doesnt even know where we are located and is not at all familiar with the complex - they also say they have no direct access to our managing office, even in emergencies….so anything after hours, youre pretty much slick out of luck.- Again the management… Ill give some examples: 1) End of last week, we receive a paper notice they are turning off water on Tuesday 3/25/14 all day. Water stays on all day Tuesday 3/25. All day Wednesday 3/26. No new notices. Thursday 3/27/14 water is turned off. No new notices. Those of us who are home with no daytime vehicle, now have no access to water for 7 hours with no notice as well (all that we stocked Tuesday has been used up because apparently there was no need…). These kinds of things happen once a month, twice a month. Another example, 2) a few days ago I returned from being out in our gated community. Arrived at the gate and there are 3 people working on the gate, including one of the top managers and decision makers. Two other cars are already waiting - None of the staff looks up once or suggests that we go in through another of the 3 gates or offers to open the gate for us. They simply ignored us. Going to the office is a similar experience. Other than Alex, who Ive already mentions, everyone else, that I have experienced, has no common sense of customer service or even normal human politeness.- Also, with over 700 apartments and MANY MANY MANY Dogs, there is no rule about picking up your dogs poop and no real respect about this. Ive stepped in dogs poo twice in the middle of the sidewalk. The gardens and grasses are public, very well-frequented dog latrines and the smells go right along with it. Even though, and especially because there are so many children that love to play and explore in the same places. But the management isnt interested; weve brought it up and they simply told us we are wrong.Anyway, living here would get 4/5 stars if it wasnt for the way this place is managed and the specific people in the positions of power at the office. I would NOT recommend living here. There are probably other great and similarly priced places in the area. Also, note the fees on top of the price of the apartment. Adds more than you think you are paying.Hope this helps.
I do like living here, unfortunately I have to move because I cannot afford the almost %50 rent increase!🤔. I have lived here since 2007 and did not really have any serious complaints. I did ask if there was any change they could make to bring down the new price increase , since I been here so long......but they said no😏.I like my aprtment the way it is, I dont need the granite etc😄. However they said t h.gey need my apartment to upgrade. Finding an apartment similar to what I have is difficult because they are either half the size for a large sum or the same size but too expensive. I am going to miss this area because its quite and I feel safe. , the office staff is ok and the maintenance staff is very prompt when I put in any request.I have recommended this apartment to a lot of people.
Ive only been here a month. The apartments are nice. However, this has to by FAR be the worst management to get in contact with. Never have I been able to call the office and have someone answer. I pay $1200 a month, someone should be able to answer my calls.. I will not be renewing purely based on their TERRIBLE communication. Get it together.
After living at Park pointe north, for the last three years, i was more than fed up and ready to move on to a new community due to the poor management company!!! Pinnacle property management did nothing but make false promises and excuses, when it came to work order requests!!! But then i found my self pleasantly surprised when in January of 2017, when i came into the office to turn in my notice to vacate, that the management was completely different, and what a difference it was!!! I spoke w the property manager, Maynard Stamper, for about an hour, and he told me about all the great things coming to the property in the near future and sure enough, so far all we have seen is greatness coming back to to the property!!! Thank you, Maynard, Jeremiah, Kayla, David and Catherine for all your help whenever i come the office!!! And i cannnot forget to mention the professionalism of the maintenance staff, thank you to John, Tony, and Johnny for always taking care of my work orders w true professionalism and dedication to making things right, not just sweeping them under the rug for the next maint. Person to fix, or lack there of!!! Thank you again, Courtland management, for making my home beautiful and comfortable again!!!!
I would not recommend this place for anyone. I dont normally do reviews but my experience with the management and apartment was horrible. Still dealing with this mess. Two of my cars were flooded do to their negligence. Both were total losses. They refused compensation. Called themselves blocking the sewer drainage to filter the sewer. Well it stormed real bad and several cars along with mine were flooded out. Secondly there were ants in the apartment. Called several times to have issue resolved. It was never resolved. I went 3 weeks without air conditioning. Called the manager several times to complain or set an appointment with her. She was never available. Paid my balance in full before leaving and they refused to give security deposit back claiming minor damages totaled more the $300.00. Very terrible experience. I give this place a 0 on a scale of 1-10.
The management team doesnt care, the leasing office might as well have a rotating door, and the maintenance team either doesnt know what theyre doing or doesnt have the tools to actually fix any problems. Maintenance is a joke. I went 13 days with no A/C last summer in a 6 week period. No one is trained so people throw notices on your door that you havent paid rent, but when you go in the office and show them that you have, they treat you like youre the idiot! Communication between the staff or residents or just between the staff is nonexistent. Theres at least one drug dealer per building, people leave their trash all over the buildings and parking lot and safety is a joke. Spend some extra money and save yourself the hassle. I wouldnt wish this complex on my worst enemy. No one cares and no one is trained. Absolutely horrible!
I am posting here because it seems this is the best way to get a response from someone on the team. I see Beth is the one responding, so this is directed to her. I have sent a very detailed email to Taundra, Erika and Reggie regarding the lack of communication in renewing my lease. This email was sent on August 7th. It is now the 11th and I have yet to receive a response. Seeing that this is a very important request I would appreciate a response by Monday. I have failed to understand how I can receive constant reminders for the pool, parcel pending, and pets but have not received ANY communication regarding my lease. You all definitely did not fail to add the increase to my rent though. Beth, please have someone contact me as soon as possible. Stopping by your office has also not been any assistance. If I do not hear back from someone by Monday.. I will be contacting corporate. Have a great day.
Worst living experience ever !!!! So bad Im contemplating standing out front and informing potential new renters of how extremely bad it is!!! From the moment I moved in I complained of cat urine smells, in the 5 months I was there it continued on to roaches, leaks from other apartments that created an even more feces and urine smell, a broken ac which they didnt fix for 8 days in the middle of summer and the worse problem a black mold infestation which when I brought to their attention they simply painted over it. In all these problems I had absolutely no communication with the manager or leasing office people. I had to call an out of state pinnacle property to get my leasing office to return my phone calls. DO NOT CHOOSE THESE PROBLEMS!!!!!
This is an older Cortland community with five star upgrades! I toured this property with Nicole a couple of weeks ago. I wasn’t sure if this property was for me because I originally had my heart set on another location in Chamblee. She sold me on the multiple upgrades that are taking place around the property and within the units. Basically it’s like you are renting an apartment in one of the their new communities for a fraction of the cost. She was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the entire process. My only issue with this location is that the mailboxes are not in an enclosed space. Minus one star for that. Maybe Cortland will consider adding a mailroom since they are remodeling the property to bring it up to date with the newer communities.
**THE ABSOLUTE WORST*** DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!***Thus far this has been my worst experience renting from an apartment complex, the staff is friendly at first but after signing your lease Hell will be moving in with you, with in my first month of living there my AC went out and they fixed it i called like 20 times about it and they always had a new excuse or solution but nothing ever changed, i pretty much went all summer with out AC staying the night at my parents, i can not describe the hatred i have for this place and the lazy, rude staff. i can not wait for my lease to end in march i am literally counting the days down, the place is nasty there is dog feces everywhere, there is mold growing underneath the carpet , they constantly refuse to respond to your maintenance requests i am surprised these guys havent been shut down yet. there have been numerous break ins, cars stolen, someone got shot in their front door and management sent the news reporters away!i only wish i had read these reviews before moving in, i feel like the reviews on their website are FAKE!Please avoid this place at all costs.
How can you live with no water. Its ridiculous how many times a month the cut the water. I know they are doing renovación, but they cut the water off at least 3 times a week for the whole day. DO NOT move here while they doing renovación. Its a mess they wake you up so early with all the noise. And the workers dont care they already hit my neighbors car. Leasing crew is nice.
I will give an honest and unbaised review to help the next renter, so you know what living at park pointe is like.Pros- Quiet, and convenient area. Close to the highway and have some shopping malls close by.I loved it but for a few major problems.Cons- They have giant roaches, no matter how much you try to get rid of it, they still appear. I broke an expensive lamp running away from a giant roach. Secondly, the parking spaces have some protruding nails that will spoil your car. The front of my car got ripped off as I tried to pull out of the drive way my first week there. I parked at night and did not see those nails. Management said, they would not pay for it and that I should ask my insurance company. Also, after that, I requested for a garage, 13 months after, they have no garage for me to rent even though they promised me one before I signed the lease, my convertible gets rained on. Also, the apartment walls are so light. I can hear my neighbors phone ring next door and the person on top of me moving up and down. I did ask to be transfered and I was told to pay an extra 500 dollers to move to another apartment. Lastly, I came one afternoon to find out that some one had attempted to break into my apartment. The leasing staff is rude and disrespectful. Im very disappointed with this complex. My 13 months lease it up and I cant wait to move. Does any one know any nice places that one can rent with professional staff and safety.
Well.... all I can say is please do not move in here. I moved here from Dunwoody because the distance to me and my husbands job is better from this place, but I really enjoyed where I was. I lived in Dunwoody Place for 6 years and I was NEVER made to sleep in the heat for two days. I have experienced issues with the AC ever since I moved here. It is overpriced and not worth it. My AC is currently out and this is the 4th time in 2 years. The first time they had to replace the unit, but I was made to wait since months because they said it was too cool outside, whatever that means. Now the new unit is out and they claim it is some kind of leak. Again, at least the last time the AC went out they provided a portable, but I had to nut up to get that. This time I am just made to sleep in 80 degree weather with no relief because they were out of portables. I asked for a fan and got nothing. I pay 820 for a one bedroom one bath. That is a mortgage, and for some reason I cant have a working AC for a complete year. Speaking to a manager means nothing. One ear and out the other. The manager claims 20 years in the business, but maybe its the company. Dont trust this place and dont trust pinnacle properties. I will be moving soon and I have kept my apartment in stellar condition, so I expect my deposit in a timely fashion, but I hear they drag their feet with that too. I believe it because it was a hassle getting someone to do a walk through of my apartment when I was trying to renew my lease and add my husband. Old property with old problems. Only move here for convenience if you have to for a short time, but be prepared for the foolishness.
Ive been a resident for the last two years. The management has performed exceptionally well. Id like to mention two people in particular, Ms. Debrah Wright and Mr. George. Both are the most attentive, hard working and kind people Ive ever seen. They are making this place even better. All in all, I highly recommend this community. For those who exercise, there are two gyms, two pools, along with a 1 mile trail directly across the complex. I dont think there is another place as convenient, affordable and enjoyable as Park Pointe North. Thank you PPN for trying hard every day!
If you’re looking for a cozy, quiet and clean place with highly professional leasing office staff, Park Pointe North is your best option. I was helped by one of the most organized, professional, pleasant and understanding team member of the leasing office named Andrew. He answered any questions I had and gave me multiple tours tirelessly and was very transparent about anything I have asked him. His geneun and professionalism, in addition to the hospitality we received when we went the office and during the tour, I was convinced this was the community I wanted to be part of and that same day I made that decision. Thank you Andrew for all your support and continuing to foster welcoming environment into the Park Pointe North community.
I had lived in Park Pointe North Apartments for 3 months around 4 years ago in a studio room, and have moved back in around 1 year ago, again into a studio room. Its not a particularly safe neighborhood (Ive seen safer places) due to the fact that the front gate often breaks down, causing bad people to flood in. However, this place has been undergoing some positive changes in response to rise in crimes in the neighborhood. The management is diligent about letting the residents know of any bad incidents in the neighborhood. I believe there has been around 5 cases of larceny for the past year, but no other serious crimes. I have been notified of those cases every time it happened. In terms of people living in the neighborhood, it should be said that you wont see high-income residents or particularly nice people. Its your typical low-income neighborhood, but none who is anywhere near being criminal (Ive been to worse neighborhoods). The proximity to Mercer University gives the residents here much joy when jogging (its fun to run through Mercer). In terms of pests, june or july can give much trouble of ant invasions despite the apartments being relatively new. Always equip yourself with ant-killer insecticides. The tennis courts here are not kept well. The bottom half of the neighborhood gets to enjoy the better of the two courts, which did make me irritated at times. The pool at the middle of the neighborhood has been closed for last 6 years, but it is finally reopening after this year. The pool at the top of the neighborhood is, of course, always full of people due to the middle pool ceasing to function. The reader may be confused as to why in the world I would give this apartment anything other than poor-fair rating. The reasoning is as follows: this apartment complex is now undergoing a major change in its middle workout facility / swimming pool, and the management are diligent about making this place a safe place. The buildings are not dangerously old, and the noise level is manageable. A walk around the neighborhood is fairly enjoyable as well. If you are looking for a cheap but not overly dangerous neighborhood, this neighborhood is a good choice.
This place is horrible! Do not move here if you want to be safe and want to live in a community who actually care about their tendants. I had a one bedroom apartment that was broken into in the middle of the day. I live alone, as courtesy you would think they would let their residents know when things happen. Also a couple was robbed at gunpoint right outside my window and I didnt know it took place until my neighbor slipped a piece of paper under my door warning me to be safe. The customer service is rude and they cant keep stable staff. The lady who helped me look at apartments wasnt even there when I came back to sign a lease..they were so unorganized. Maintence is a joke. So dont your problem will get fixed unless you got to the office and complain to a manger. I had a wet floor two months of living there waiting on them to fix it. But hey you get what you pay for right? I would not recommend this to anyone living here. Especially not young college students. Prepare to get robbed. People are haunting and preying on people over there. Dont waste your time and energy. If you think Im lying you can get a copy of all the 911 calls that came from that area. The police and gbi that came out to my place said this was the worst place to live and that the phone calls they receive are off the charts. Go elsewhere!
I wish I could give 0 stars. Consider yourselves warned. My toilet has been broken for more than a week I have been calling the leasing office and putting in maintenance requests, still nothing. They are all lazy starting with brian ( rudest person I have met). Dont be fooled by them. They dont make the repairs and raise your rent when it is time to renew and they dont care. They only thing good about this place is the location, but with all the crap that is wrong with this place, that is still not worth it. Run as fast and far as possible
I Came To Take A Tour, I Was Greeted By Andrew. He Answered My Questions With Great Knowledge About The Amenities In The Property. He Was Also Very Informative About The Shops And Restaurants In The Surrounding Area. He Seemed Very Energetic And Nice. He Was Patient With Me When It Came To Deciding The Floor Plan I Was Most Interested In. He Made Great Recommendations About Where And How I Could Place My Major Furniture. I Look Forward To Moving Here After A Renovated Unit Becomes Available. I Feel Good About This Move. Thanks Andrew.
First in reading reviews, I doubt the reviews where they know the names of everyone. These apt have had exterior and interior makeovers. They are still paper thin walls and ceilings. If you want to listen to every sound, great place to live. I lost count of the times I have been flooded and the mold they have painted over. There are gates that never work. No security. Noisey neighbors require 911 calls. The mgt will take your complaints but they wont help. Be sure and do a police report check. Theft, assult, robbery, hit and run etc. There is NO security. On top of the rent increase of 40 percent, they cut down all the trees that block the noise from the street and block the traffic, now you can watch the daily traffic jam on Flowers Rd.
Never had any real issues. I call the main office and maintenance until things get fixed. And they do. Im very happy here. Ive lived in horrible places and this place is wonderful compared to them. I generally feel safe. Its ATL so be aware of your surroundings. Very green and clean. Nice neighbors. Away from 85 and 285. I really do like living here. From what I have read from others is that location matters. Where I am, in the lower portion, its quiet and I feel safe. Im from the country where Im used to trees and nature. I find plenty of it here. So many apts in the area overlook the highway. Not here. As long as I stay in this spot Im great! Advice: if you have maintenance issues directly speak with the main office. Maintenance office tends to be unorganized.
I moved to this community back in May of 2019 after relocating to the Atlanta area from Southern California. It had been over 10 years since I lived in an apartment complex, so I was a little apprehensive and nervous about the type of things I might experience once I moved in. To my surprise, I was greeted by very friendly and accommodating office staff, my apartment was clean and move-in ready, and the community itself has been very pleasant and comfortable to be in.
When Drew, the Leasing Consultant, showed me the newly renovated units at PPN, I instantly knew this was my next place of residence. I was so impressed with his knowledge on the units and his ability to follow up after my visit. He is beyond patient and very welcoming. You cant go wrong with PPN Apartments!!!
I thought IT couldnt get worse than Pinicalle, how wrong I was when Cortland partners took over. Maintenance is great, but thats where the good ends. Water is not dependable, the common areas are not keep healthy clean. I have pictures. Theyre too gross to post. The garage overflows. Got a picture of a raccoon eating the garbage. Apartment manager ls vey defensive and does not seem to know what is happening in the community. Renovations result in constant dust and noise. At 7:20 pm I was still dealing with high pitch noise due to renovation,
Be careful about paying the admin and application fee, make sure your credit is good and you make 3 time you make. Because if not the apartment you like you want get it and they will keep your money and they will charge you for looking at the apartment.Because your credit not good and you dont make that much money.even though you didnt get the apartment.
TERRIBLE Community!!! I moved out over 3 months ago and they have YET to reimburse me for my security deposit! Every time I call they give me the run around and say they will call me back. What a scam and how pathetic. If this is the way they treat you when you move out, imagine how they treat you when you live there! They wont hesitate to charge your account for any small fee but they will duck and dodge you when they owe you money. Terrible customer service! STAY AWAY
I have to admit I was rather impressed with how well kept this community is. The renovation are nothing what I expected. Very creative. The property manager Drew is a top shelf guy. Very attentive and concerned about his tenants and the up keep of his community. I give this place 2 👍🏿👍🏿
This place is terrible Ive been here almost a year Im now in preparation for moving out because of the terrible roaches and other insects issue and not to mention dirty brown water and sometimes no running water with out notice problem. But the final straw has come I am a person who plans ahead so I tell the leasing office I am going to end my lease I will not be renewing !these clowns send me my last month bill price at double the rent! This is ridiculous I never heard of such a thing I never had a balance always paid on time in full but now my bill is over 1200 bucks for this piece of crap apartment I think not! My experience here was really bad but lax b/c I didnt react to a lot. I promise the leasing office staff will be rude and no help and make up some stupid excuse so I say run for the hills pay the extra 200$ for a nice newer updated apartment on the next exit its worth it guarantee! And now the rent is more for whatever reason they are crazy I luckily got a good rate otherwise I would of been out of here with the fake amenities they sale. Get out if you live here its seriously turning into a bad bad neighborhood. It looks peaceful but looks are deceiving!
Ive been searching for apartments for awhile. I felt at home when I visited Park Pointe. The guy that showed us around was Drew and he answered all my questions and went over and beyond to assist my family and I. The major plus about these apartments is the amazingly beautiful renovations taking place. This place is definitely a hidden gem.
I have been looking for a safe place for my college aged daughters. Being an overprotective dad I knew exactly what too look for in a new home for my daughters. First I was greeted by a very welcoming and knowledgeable leasing consultant name Drew than I proceeded to a spacious apartment. Within moments I knew this was the place for my daughters.
I have never lived in this apartment complex, but my low rating is from the process of getting approved. I contacted this apartment because the price and it was in a great location, but they are money hungry! SMH. I spent $250 on the application and for the administration fee and I knew I would get approved because my score is 650. Olympia Haney was my Leasing Consultant and she was great, but she told me that I would have to pay $1,800 for the security deposit plus the first month rent. I was moving into a one-bedroom, one-bathroom $1,300 unit, so they wanted over $3,000 from me and kept trying to get me to use a loan company called Jetty and I just wasnt trying to do that. They kept coming up with excuses on why I had to pay so much, mind you... I dont have any debt, Ive never been convicted for a crime, and I have never been evicted, and Ive had an apartment in the past. It was disappointing because I knew I wasnt going to get my money back, and I kept trying to talk to the manager and she was ALWAYS too busy to talk. Donna is ALWAYS on the phone when you call, so dont waste your time asking for her. Luckily, I reached out to Windsor at Brookhaven and did an application and Ill be moving in on Monday, only having to spend $500 for my deposit and I got approved for a two-bedroom, two bathroom unit and its only $1,400 a month. Long story short, please explore your options and do your research because there are other great apartments in the area that wont require you to spend two times the rent just to move in.
I lived here a little over 2 years. At first, it was fine, but after Pinnacle bought them, it went downhill. Every summer my air would go out multiple times. One time it was out 3 weeks, when it was 100 outside. Trying to get things fixed took many phone calls. There were car breakins that management never told us about, burglaries all the time that I found out about from Dekalb County crime reports and at least 1 home invasion that I know of.Management doesnt really care about anything except your check clearing.
The staff here is always professional no matter what time and day it is. It doesnt matter if the office is packed with future residents or during the renovations. You will always enjoy your visit here at Park Pointe North Apartments.Thank You and God Bless you all!!!
I agree with previous reviews that Cortland management is doing a much better job than their predecessors, which were dismal. However, since the gates started working last week one is doomed to hear their creaky closing. Several times each minute, every day. In fact it can be heard from the Mercer college campus across the road. The second time I reported this to the management I was told oh yes, weve heard, maybe it needs oiling . So that was the response five days on. They know but dont do anything.
Ive been living here for 3yrs now. Ive seen it all and I can relate to all the issues AND praises mentioned in the posts before this review. Im going to be as truthful and as unbiased as possible.Pros:- Decent pricing,- Relatively clean,- 2 separate gyms,- Nice looking and decently maintained common bbq/party areas,- Lots of parking spaces unless the weekend hits or youre just unlucky.- Walk away from Mercer University campus (across the street)- Mix of family and students mainly live here- Decently lit at night- Relatively safe but not close to being the safest place you can live.- Usually a police officer living in every other building so helps with safety concerns- Dog poopie bag stations placed around the large property so helps keep the dung off the shoes.- Fire station is right across the street (VERY quick response time).- They recently repainted the outside of all the units and did some basic patio maintenance so the place looks clean and fresh.- Complimentary carpet steam cleaning once a year (make sure you tidy up and ask management for it).- 2 separate laundry mats near the exercise centers if you dont have your own washer/dryer.- Diverse populace of White, Black, Asian, Latino households (good or bad depending on how racially accepting you are).- 2 separate swimming pools (used to be 3 but one became a modern BBQ/hangout/gathering area). During the summer, its usually packed with kids and families.- A few car-washing stations located around the property (that used to be free) but now charge money.Cons:- The security gates are RARELY ever working. Anyone pretty much comes and goes.- Bottom floors usually have insect infestations (mostly ants) during the summer and heavy rains. Do yourself a favor and buy a bag of diatomaceous earth and spread it along the edges of the problem areas.- There are newer buildings (with newer living spaces) and older buildings so choose carefully- Recently, there have been more crimes in the area (mostly break-ins to cars and ground floor apartments)...possibly attributed to the non-working gates.- Non-working gates and lack of security leads to younger thuggish groups hanging out in the parking lots at night. DEFINITELY not a plus.- Cheaper rent encourages certain types of people to move in which in turn leads to their shady friends to hang around. Ill let your imagination go wild on that one...related to the comment above. This can lead to an unsafe feeling esp. if you are a female walking your dog at night.- Maintenance is usually good and prompt EXCEPT during the summer months where a lot of A/C units tend to have problems...just be ready to run to Sears or Brandsmart to buy a portable AC. You dont want to be caught in the 1-2wk waiting game for your AC to get fixed during this time. ** I warned you!- Keep valuables out of your car. Its common sense but some people just dont learn..hence the car break-ins.- Dont expect to play tennis on the tennis courts during the day. There is usually a group of aspiring young Christiano Renaldos kicking soccer balls around on the courts during the day.- Its a large property so it can get confusing for friends to locate your unit. (not a huge problem but still true)- Some dog owners are not very responsible (depends on which unit you live in) so you might have a dog that barks ALL time or you might find your shoes strangely attracted to dog poop as you walk into the grass during the nighttime hours (because some owners dont pick up after their pets).Bottom line:Its not a bad place to live if you can deal with some of the problems mentioned above. Pricing is good and its relatively safe. Hey you get what you pay for!

2022-03-04Ive been looking for a place to live here in the Atlanta region and after searching I ended up here at Rosemont Chamblee. First and foremost, the process has been very smooth. I dont think Ive ever experienced any great customer service from any leasing agents like what I received from Caroline. She made the process easy and painless. She made sure my questions had been answered and made sure all my needs were met. If you do visit Rosemont Chamblee, I recommend working with Caroline. Shes TOP NOTCH!!!

2022-04-09Ms.Caroline Jones was very helpful with the process of leasing and what documents I needed. She is very quick as well to respond when I had questions and explained throughly. She is very professional and has a great humor! When I came to move in, I went to receive the keys and gate keys. She wanted to make sure that the gate keys I received worked, one of them didn’t and she immediately took care of that. She showed me where my new place is and where my mailbox is located as well. My experience was great and very smooth transitions. I would highly recommend her! Overall I just simply had an amazing experience and usually with moving a it’s stressful but she made it not stressful at all.

2022-05-15The property itself is gorgeous and Caroline is such a pleasure to work with. She really listened to what I was looking for and found me the perfect apartment. She was professional, personable and wasted no time checking in to make sure that I had everything that I needed. One of the best experiences I have ever had with an apartment search.

2022-07-03Elizabeth and Thais were very helpful in getting our lease renewed! We love it here at this complex, the only reason its not 5 stars is there seems to be a problem with mail security. Weve had several packages taken and had to get replacements. Other than that, great location, great spaces and apartments and great staff!

2022-04-09I absolutely LOVE my new home. Im three months in, and like to get a great sense of my community and the work ethic of management and maintenance before providing an accurate assessment, and I have NOT been disappointed. From my apartment search, move in, to actually settling in, it has been a seamless and luxury experience. As a Brooklyn native, all of the amenities provided are truly a gem and luxury- Nest thermostat in my apartment, beautiful light fixtures, various choice in floorpans, pristine and modern pool area(s), grills, picnic areas throughout the community, package room with lockers, community spaces, tennis courts, dog park, state of the art gym (stair master okay!) and the list goes on. I love spending my time in the leasing office with the super friendly and attentive leasing staff, to utilize our conference rooms and work booths to get work done! I also love the authentic sense of community by means of our resident discussion board and our monthly activities hosted by management. Ms. Caroline and Ms. Dana are theeee best! Ask for them upon arrival to tour, and youll gain the most phenomenal experience during your home search. Quiet, safe and peaceful environment- and since I moved in there have been constant improvements to make our complex even more better and comfortable for residents. No complaints. Love it- praying management adds fire pits to our community at some point (fingers crossed)

2022-05-12Wow!! What can I say, Ms Caroline Jones is just phenomenal. She went over and above and out of her way to ensure that my request for a garage was fulfilled. She has left her office several times to ride around the complex with me to find the perfect garage near my unit. She even continued to work after hours by calling on maintenance for repairs and ordering remotes to make sure I had a working and secure garage to store my belongings. At the time when I requested the garage, they weren’t offering garage rentals but I shared with Ms. Caroline my need for storage space and she went to work. She even went as far as ordering a garage audit, to get everything in order to rent them out to residents in need. I mean she really does care about making sure residents have a great experience living at rosemont and it helps that she always has a smile and a wave to share with you as well! I am so grateful for Ms. Caroline, she stuck through the process and didn’t give up until I was satisfied. She embodies excellent customer service. I am confident and comfortable living at rosemont because I know I have her here advocating for the residents at all times. Cheers to Ms Caroline for all the hard work and dedication. I appreciate it

2022-06-11Do not lease here. My apartment is currently 83 degrees and the maintenance technician showed up with 1 a/c unit that doesn’t even fit the window and per the lease contract THIS IS AN EMERGENCY. Being that the unit doesn’t fit there’s more warm air coming in than cool. These apartments are very overpriced and they never make any repairs. They just give excuses or say they don’t pay their technicians weekend overtime which is absolutely unacceptable to hear as an tenant.

2022-02-15Our bedroom ceiling fan has been broken upon move-in. After asking about it numerous times, they say the order is in and they will fix it but still nothing. It’s been 2 months. The office staff is rude and not very helpful. There are spiders and roaches in the apartment. Rent is too expensive to have to deal with all of that. My experience from the application process to now has been horrible. The only reason we continued with moving in is because it’s not far from my parents house. We definitely will not be renewing.

2021-09-14Its only been a week since Ive moved here, and Ive already experienced the misleading promises from the leasing managers and maintenance orders that have taken longer than the promised 48 hours.- The property staff sent us the welcome letter five times because she kept including the wrong emails or mislabeling the correct residents into the new apartment.- We called to confirm a scheduled walkthrough of our apartment before moving in and were told that the walkthrough would have to be rescheduled for the next day because the apartment was still being renovated. This was said to us 1 HOUR before we were to meet for the walkthrough. Its understandable that unforeseeable circumstances may occur, but why are we the ones having to confirm that the walkthrough? Its incredibly unprofessional when a simple phone call would have been sufficient enough to alert us and make sure that we arent wasting our day.- When we were performing our walkthrough with a staff member, we noticed that:• the washer had sticky black residue• the drawers were broken and had crumbs• the vents had dust• the fridge was missing a shelf• sections of the fridge had mold• the refrigerator still had food residue• the closets had spider webs inside. We pointed these out and were promised by staff members that they would send in a cleaning service to address these issues. We were also told that a work order would be placed and the problems would be fixed within five business days. When performing our second walkthrough, although slightly cleaner, there were still issues with the cleanliness. When pointing this out, we were told by staff that we could clean this ourselves. Im not expecting a cleaning service to come in every day for us, but is it not the complexs responsibility to ensure that a renovated apartment be clean?Overall, if anyone is looking into this apartment, I would suggest to do a walk-through before signing the lease or even apply for the apartment.
