Calling around trying to find someone to box up a small road bike for shipping. Ive done this many times myself--and paid many different shops all over the country to do it as well over the years. In the past year Ive paid $20, $30, $40... sometimes as much as $50 or $60 when theres little to no competition around. These guys quoted me $100--the highest of anyone I called in the area (at least 5 shops). Of course, they have the right to charge whatever crazy prices they want... but if their prices is that high for doing something as simple and easy as putting a bike in a box--which they get for free (incoming bikes shipped to them daily by their vendors)--I can only imagine how expensive their other shop work is. It takes 1/2 hr at most. But, hey, maybe their doing so well--making so much money--in February--that the dont need the work.
I had gone to performance down the road. I already had chosen a bike there. I came here to Roswell Bicycle to shop around. I entered was never greeted walked around the store for about 15 minutes no-one seemed interested in helping several employees were gathered near the register area but not one came out to provide service. Went back to performance bikes and got an awesome bike.
I bought my son his first adult bicycle. Can’t stress enough how magnificent our experience was from start to finish. We where directed with what was the most comfortable bike for my 13 year old.We where not rushed at all, they took there time to ensure that he understood what was new to him, checked and adjusted everything and even let him test ride it around the parking lot.Todd Kaib, you have a professionalism about you that’s to be admired and can see that the same applies to all the staff.Would highly recommend this business for any bicycle needs.
I went to Roswell Bicycles because the bike shops near me are closed on Sundays. I needed to pick up a derailleur cable. I gave 5 stars because they are super knowledgeable, have a solid inventory, and are very friendly. The mechanics talked to me at length about how I can tune my own bike. Their prices are just a little higher than what you can find on the internet but I’m happy to pay a little more because of their customer service. I will return. I would highly recommend Roswell Bicycles to anyone and everyone
Hands down best bike experience ever! If you are in need of a bike Dave is your guys! He’s been selling bikes for 32 years. He’s also an avid rider himself. I appreciated the fact that he took the time. He’s asked us lots of questions. When we weren’t finding the color of bikes in store. He went to the computer looked up Specialized and we found the most perfect bikes for us! Bonus they were on sale! He also fitted us for our bikes. We really appreciated it, my husband just had hip surgery and he took that into consideration and was able to show him how to get on and off his bike easily. Another perk of buying from Roswell bikes is they service your bikes for free for lifetime of your bikes.
Kind of felt smug in there if you don’t have a $12k or up road bike. I just needed a U brake assembly part and chain for my sons TREK BMX bike. New chain was too long and dude said “Can’t help you with the brakes and you’ll need a pin removal tool to shorten the chain”. He didn’t offer to help me or charge me to do it or anything other than “insert or tap your card”. I assume they have a pin removal tool? My field is customer service and, I felt very unimportant. Kinda sad honestly.
I worked with Scott to get an incredible deal on a new Pivot mountain bike. The service team had it set up and ready to ride so I could go straight from the shop to my local trails. Great bike, communicative sales staff, a great deal, and easy to get to from Atlanta. Great experience all around.
A great experience working with Patrick as he guided me thru the entire process of shopping for my first road bike. He provided alot of suggestions and recommendations and I went with what I thought I needed for my biking experience. Didnt pressure or hassle me into buying anything like most salesmen would.
I am big on customer service as I value where I choose to spend my money. My first impression was not a good one. I was in search of cycle shoes and this store was referred. Upon entering the store the young lady was helping a customer and never even looked my way to speak or acknowledge me. I went downstairs and received the same treatment from 2 other individuals that were assisting customers. I waited a good 10min before I asked for help from the young lady upstairs. She came and found someone from the back to help me. The guy appeared uninterested in helping and processed me. I felt uncomfortable and like I was bothering them by needing help. I toyed with even making a purchase because of the treatment I received, but really needed my shoes. Customer service 101, acknowledge all customers that walk into your store and make them feel welcomed. I probably will not be back and will just find some place online for my next shoes or cycle needs. I will also be going back to the store that referred me here to share my experience and advise them to be mindful of recommending places that treat customers like this.
I absolutely had a wonderful experience in the service department... Tried to do a DYI project, replacing my own suspension fork and ended up botching my project. Brought it to Roswell Bicycles and they fit my bike with a better fork and a few additional components that would make my overall riding experience much better. The turnaround time and quality work was fantastic. Thank you, guys!
This bike shop is the real deal!Brought my bike in for an issue I was having and I had a great experience! These guys do good honest business which is greatly appreciated. They did not try to take advantage of me like another shop tried. I dont want to throw that shop under the bus but lets just say I am thankful that I ended up calling and dealing with Roswell Bicycles instead! Thank you Dave once again! This will be the only bike shop I deal with from now on. They have earned a customer for life.
Today i took a trip to roswell Bicycles. I was very pleasantly surprised at how large and well maintained the shop was. Clay in the service department took extra time with me explaining the parts I was looking to replace and was very very knowledgeable. The whole staff was upbeat and showed respect to me being a novice rider. I will definitely be returning and recommending friends!
Outstanding bike shop- the finest I have had the pleasure of visiting. Staff are knowledgeable, friendly and patient, even staying with me after closing time to answer questions and show me a few bikes (I came in just 30 min before closing). I was helped by Parker and TAYLOR; both were friendly, welcoming and made sure I was taken care of. Selection is excellent- fantastic brands and so much inventory! Atlanta is lucky to have this bike shop....
Top notch service! We bought our sons first bike from Roswell Bicycles for his birthday. He is turning 7 and we figured it was time to get a new bike, so we went back to Roswell Bicycles. We met Elizabeth when we arrived and told her we wanted to get a new bike for our son and that he hadnt completely transitioned to riding without training wheels on his current bike. She showed our son how to balance on his current bike and told us that it was most important for him to be confident on the bike, and its better to do that on a smaller bike than one that is too big. She took us outside and let him practice on his bike. After noticing his pedals were getting in the way and the seat needed be lowered, she took the bike inside to have the pedals remove and removed the tail light to lower the seat more. We went back outside again and she let him practice balancing again. Bottom line is that Elizabeth could have easily sold us a bike because that is what we thought we needed. We were very impressed by how she thoughtfully helped our son on his current bike and helped us make the right decision to defer purchasing a bike for him. When it is time to buy a new bike for him, we will definitely come back to see Elizabeth to buy a bike!
I began looking for a new mountain bike and reached out to Roswell Bikes for advice. Kyle immediately responded and we began emailing back and forth for a few weeks and he offer me recommendations based on my budget and never tried to upsell me. I planned a trip (from Macon) and I was immediately greeted with I walked in, and they spent the next 2 hours with me, 1-on-1, making sure I understand the bike I was purchasing, explaining all the features, and letting me test ride.Their customer service is the best Ive ever experienced in a transaction and their selection is incredible - there was a rep there the day we were, and he said its the largest selection in the Southeast. Well worth the 1.5 hour ride.
Absolutely incredible experience.I went to Roswell Bicycles looking for a bike for the wife and was amazed by the level of information and help by the all the staff. I compared the products and prices to online options and gladly went back to Roswell Bicycles for the purchase. The bike, the accessories and a carrying rack purchase was so good, I picked up a new bike for my Grandson for Christmas. If you are looking for a bike or bike accessories, give them a chance to earn your business.
Awesome place got my first high-end mountain bike here Elizabeth was my sales associate and she spent plenty of time letting me look at all the bikes and help me make the right decision for my needs! All the other bike shop so I went to their customer service could not touch this place.
Visited with my two children to buy bikes for all of us. Was in the store for 20 minutes and no salesperson acknowledged us, not even to let us know they were helping another customer and would be right with us.I even stood at the counter facing a salesperson while he looked at items on the computer with a customer. He had numerous opportunities to slightly turn his head toward me, facing him just a few feet away, yet he never lifted his eyes from the screen. It was awkward. On the floor, my kids asked within earshot of three salespeople why no one was helping us, and no one responded. I examined a few bikes of interest and two salespeople walked right by. It was as though the three of us were invisible, and that has never been said about my kids in a store. There were other customers in the store but it was not crowded. No other customers were waiting for help. I appreciate that the salespeople were so focused on helping the customers they were with, but some one should have at the very least acknowledged us.I carved out time to visit Roswell Bicycles because they have a good reputation and support the local cycling community. They might offer good technical advice, but their customer service was nonexistent. They lost the opportunity to sell numerous bikes to our family as the kids grow.
Just had my mountain bike serviced at Roswell Bicycles by Tim McClain, and what a pleasure to deal with. Not only did he do an amazing job on my bike, but was so helpful to inform me of all the upgrades he did on my bike. I was in need of some instruction and he took all the time I needed to understand how to work my full suspension ride.Thank you so much Tim. Eager to hit the trails!I use Roswell Bicycles for both my bikes and I love the great store and repair shop. Super friendly staff.
I just bought a bike from them and the service was exceptional! The staff who helped me set up and tune up the bike spent two hours measuring me and adjusting the bike back and fourth, to make sure I have the most comfortable posture on the bike. They also carry a variety of brands like Specialized, Giant, etc. I am so happy with my bike and the set up and will definitely come back in the future. Ask for Taylor Kaib he will take good care of you.
Have used Roswell Bicycles for the past 3+ years and have found their sales/service staff to be courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable. They are a top rated bike retailer but have never gotten so big to forget about customer service. I have had 3 different bikes serviced over the years and have been pleased with the quality of work and timeliness of repairs each and every time. They are also willing to order that special part that other bike shops just dont carry. I highly recommended Roswell Bicycles, whether a recreational cyclist or a hard core racer!
I walked in to pro shop & was immediately greeted. After stating the equipment I was looking for the young lady put me in contact with Taylor.Taylor had answers to every technical question I had. I have very little knowledge about todays biking scene, geometry & components. With that said I left Roswell Bicycles updated & highly informed of todays idustries standards. As I looked over inventory, Taylor was away gathering various products for me. I had 4 other employees in total that greeted me & made sure I was being helped. The over all experience I had from walk in to point of sale was amazing & above average by far.Now lets shift gears.I felt the need to post a review which is probably the first time I have ever done this for any business. If you are buying bikes or any related gear I recommend Roswell Bicycles! Keep it local & keep it classy Georgia.
W O W ! Sylvester in service is amazing. He is goes the extra step to make it an exceptional experience. Roswell Bicycles is lucky to have him. The sales staff is helpful and friendly. I visit bike shops around the country and I am glad to have this as my go to bike store. I highly recommend......
Have used Roswell bikes a number of times over the last few months for my time trial bike and today for my mountain bike. Each visit has seen a great outcome and each person I have dealt with in the service department has been highly knowledgeable and very helpful. Today Sylvester went above and beyond the norm as after I had mentioned I had planned to mountain bike over the next few days until I had a shifting issue he said he would do his utmost to get me back on the trails. As good as his word he called me twice to give me updates. He also was as good as his word and fixed the bike!Great job Sylvester and Roswell bikes!
Best customer service experience I believe Ive ever had. Bike had been in the garage, unridden for 2 years. Took it to Roswell Bicycles and they took a quick look, made a couple of minor adjustments, pumped up the tires and sent me on my way about 10 minutes later with a minimal charge. Said he could keep it and clean it up and get it back to me in a couple days for $90, but lifes too short. Agree totally. I will be back to see them whenever we have a bike issue, and when were ready to replace the ones we have. All I saw was the service area, but it looked like this place has anything anyone might need related to bicycles.
I have had consistently good experiences with Roswell bikes. A novice rider with two growing kids, I have bought a number of bikes from Roswell and its always been a good experience. They take their time to understand your needs, help with fit and dont rush you into buying something you wont want or need down the road. I recently bought two bikes from Mike and he did a great job fitting both me and my son and helped us really think through picking out the best bikes for our needs. He made sound recomendations and politly challenged us on some of our ideas. It was appreciated. They have good prices on their bikes and you get a lot of value. I highly recommend Roswell bikes.
Roswell Bikes is an outstanding bike shop with a great customer service: they have very knowledgeable sales people, an amazing services department and more importantly have a huge selection of parts, gears, bike. You can find anything from entry level to high end racing gears/bikes. Highly recommend this bike shop.
My 3 year old daughter got her first bicycle last Christmas, and I was looking for a way to introduce some more fitness into my life, so I thought it was time I got a bike for myself. After a few weeks of research online, I was thoroughly overwhelmed with the breadth of options, so when I discovered Roswell Bicycles right around the corner from my house I thought I would swing in and check some out in person.Parker greeted me when I came in, and after a brief description of what I was looking for he walked me through some of the different options, helped me test ride a couple of bikes, and showed a lot of patience with all my questions and my 3 yr olds antics.I decided to think on it for a bit, and after talking it over with my wife we decided to go back up to the shop. I looked at a few more options, did one more test ride, and made a decision. We also decided to pick up a Wahoo trainer, which Parker also did a great job of explaining to us. As a nice perk the bike receives free tune ups for life. All in all it was a great experience, Im thrilled with my purchase and the service I received, and excited to have such an awesome LBS right around the corner.I highly recommend Roswell Bicycles if youre in the market.
Really like the people at Roswell as they really give you great advise. I wanted to go road biking with my mountain bike and after 5 minutes talking with the guys we decided to just put new tires on my bike.Besides I had had a problem with my saddle it was not width enough as Im a pretty tall guy. I was able to test two saddles to see which of the two felt the best. After I choose one Dave told me that I was allowed to bring it back if I found out in 10 days if this was not the right choice. Really awesome advise. If you are looking for a bike shop you found it.
Taylor was awesome! We are novices. He explained bike fit and features and answered all of our crazy questions, didnt try to up sell us or sell a bunch of accessories, only what we asked about. The store has so much selection, youre sure to find something just right for you or your kids!
Went and bought a bike today from Roswell Bikes, and could not be happier with my experience. Dana spent over an hour and a half with us going through everything from sizing to pedals and we never felt like we were being pressured into anything or spending more than we were comfortable with! I know where I will be shopping from now on.
Todd is the best! He always take the time to make sure you get your questions answer and gives you an honest advise when you are searching for a bike or have any other concern, plus the maintenance department has an exceptional service. Best place to go and buy your bike!!!
Purchased my wifes bike here. Cant even get in the store. Covid-19 really has these people spooked! You have to call for an appointment for service or to shop in the store. I was given a two week wait on service. In and out of another shop in 15min. Problem solved and back on the road thanks to another bike shop!
I went in there with a fork with a broken lockout. The mechanic looked at it and told me it was a major repair job and I would need to leave the bike there for a couple of days. I was just travelling through and didnt have any tools so I ended up riding that day with a locked out, rigid fork. When I had a minute, I googled how to fix it. I borrowed a screwdriver and a 4mm allen wrench from somebody and it was fixed in less than 5 minutes. I would not trust this store with any repairs more complicated than adding air pressure to a tire, and even then I would double check their work.
I bought a pretty expensive Mavic wheel from the store. The bearing broke after a pair of months and I went back for the warranty. I was told that the part would be free, as it was bought recently. They ordered the bearing from Shimano. They told me that I would recieve a call from the store when the wheel would be ready for me. Never got a call. When I months later went back to ask for the wheel, I was given a 130 dollar bill for the work and new rim that was necessary. Really the only problem with the wheel was the bearing. I never agreed to pay anything and i was told that the warranty covers the costs. Just wanted to get my bearing fixed. I feel cheated. This store is really overpriced and they are willing to do anything to get your money.
One of the bike mechanics help me look at bikes! Super nice guy!! The sales girl with long brown hair spent 30 mins talking about bike racks with a guy (who did not buy). Once she was done she just hung this poor mechanic out to dry to know specs on these bikes without looking at the websites.
This is not a simple bike shop. The entire sales floor are experts and enthusiasts for cycling. I have always been approached in an educational manner rather than as a likely sales opportunity, so its a great place for someone with no experience to go as well as those that are conditioned athletes
My son and I where where on a MTB road trip in the Atlanta area.We stopped in looking for some Dirt Jumper shoes. Rosewell bicycles has a great selection of everything. We got the exact shoes we where looking for.Todd and Mike also went out of there way to help us immediately fix a brake problem on my sons bike. Forget the big Box Stores , go straight RosewellsSupport your local bike shop They where there for us when we needed them.
Make an appointment really? After driving all the way from Woodstock I arrive and find out you have to have an appointment this is not a doctors office.I went right down the road to try bicycles and they took my bike in and took care of things right away.I can understand wearing a mask but to make an appointment for a bike shop do not give these people your business they think way too much of themselvesUpdateBla Bla Bla. Definitely Democrats
I stopped by Roswell bikes a few times just kicking tires looking around. Clay helped me each time and took tons of time on multiple occasions teaching me all about road bikes. They allowed me to test drive a bunch of bikes until I found the perfect bike.I will continue to drive 40 minutes to shop at Roswell Bicycles. Thanks guys you all are top notch.
I recently had an experience that didnt start so great at this shop, but Kyle stepped up in a big way and well above and beyond what I expected to make feel like the customer is their first priority. I couldnt be happier with the end result, and would highly recommend this shop.
Exceptional service and knowledgeable staff. We were greeted when we talked in and I got to try on multiple sites to see if they were comfortable and fit me. Im interested in riding for a triathlon, so Im glad this gave me an idea where to start. Plenty of parking. I highly recommend them.
Bought my 2016 Addict here a while back. Recently the front derailleur was having trouble. Got new cables/housing and bar tape. It turns out there was a small pin in my front derailleur that was broken off. Instead of having to get a whole new front derailleur, they found an old one and replaced that pin for me. Wanna give a shout-out to Riley for helping me out and doing a superb job. Thanks!
I stopped by Roswell Bicycles to get a replacement spoke for my kids bicycle. It really was that simple in my mind. I absolutely cant believe that after the whole big conversation about the geometry and the calculus and the trigonometry of the whole process, they absolutely refused to sell me a spoke similar to the one I held in my hand. I had to go another day without my kid having a bike. I could understand if this was about a prescription drug -- but for goodness sake, this is a simple metal rod. Im really not sure what to do now. They want me to bring the whole wheel in so they can measure the wheel with their precision instruments. But after the enormously condescending exchange, Im shy about going back there again.
Ive been going to Roswell BIkes for about three years now. Probably my favorite thing about the shop is they are one of the few in Metro Atlanta that not only has accessories in stock, but has a wide range. Not just entry level shoes or helmets, but higher end and fancy ones as well. Most other shops have left those to the domain of the internets. They also have a great selection of nutrition products and especially saddles, which, you would think you wouldnt have buy as often as I have had to. Also, I kinda just like going in there and pretending about all the bikes I could buy... Ill have one of those, and one of these. Typical N+1 problems because they have so many in stock. Even fancy collectors ones in cases I kinda want to break into just to make sure someone rode them at least once!!! I do most of my own mechanikkking but they have always been helpful with parts special orders and they have glued on dozens of tubular tires for my friends. So if their tubies dont roll, theyre gonna be more than competent in every other repair aspect.Pro tip: Park in the lot next to Andretti Carting before you get to Roswell. Much easier to get into and out of.
If your looking for a new or used bicycle, this is the place. Probably the largest selection in the North Atlanta Metro Area. Great selection of both adult and kids, helpful/knowledgeable staff, great technicians, and a great selection of accessories. Highly recommended.

2021-10-20We regularly bring our Mountain Bikes to Roswell Bicycles for service. We are active riders and my boys race Cross Country for the local Nitro Team. The entire staff is knowlegable and offer up professional suggestions, upgrades, or fixes to our situation.I have to give a shout out to Kelly who was able quickly upgrade and service my sons new/used race bike. Additionally, Kelly quickly serviced another one of our bikes between their busy practice and race schedules.Fantastic Customer Service and professional work. Thank You!!

2022-06-15Great shop and stop for your cycling needs. I highly recommend using their tech services. The lead tech Kelly is one of the most knowledgeable mtb techs out there. She will ensure your bike gets the tender care it deserves just like when you go to a doctors. From assessment, to diagnosis, to treatment plan and follow up. All taken care of. Great shop!! Been there many times, will keep going.

2022-05-09I have an older Specialized bike which is becoming harder to find replacement parts. The service department here has come though for me once again with the part I needed due to taking the time to search through a bin in the shop which contains miscellaneous dated bike parts.! He installed the part in a flash and had me fixed up in no time! Then tells me it was complementary.!Absolute pleasure every time I go here! 👍However, this time inspired me enough to write a review!

2018-07-08In a word: impressive. Their bike selection and stock is the best weve seen around so far. Quite a wide variety of accessories as well. The sales staff was helpful explaining to us the difference between the models available and helped us make decisions on the many options.Their service department, while we have not used them yet, offers a lot of good services. On the downside, they were quite busy and had to wait over 10 minutes for a sales rep. But once we did get someone they were helpful.

2019-10-27Best bike shop in the area—they took the time to get me set up right and feeling great about my bike, and I’m a perfectionist (read: neurotic) with stuff like this too. Everyone in the shop has been great but Taylor B helped me and my Fiancée pick out my Tarmac and her Ruby and was also nice enough to answer my 1000000 questions.

2021-08-27Just got a new bike here, and Taylor was so helpful in making sure I had the right frame and setup for my proportions. I had to go back a week later to get a mirror replaced, and again, he took the time to make additional adjustments so that I had the right geometry and was comfortable. Very customer-oriented, and now theyve got me as a customer for future bike purchases as well. And no, this wasnt anywhere *near* a $12K+ road bike.

2022-02-26Best overall local bike shop. Bought three bikes from here over past 10 years and been many times for service.
