Stopped there to get a room for one night the door really wouldnt close turned the air on in the room and started to notice a whole lot of piss bugs coming out of nowhere! I couldve stated in my truck and kept my money. Never again
My family and I had to evacuate Florida for hurricane Irma.. We were 8 adults, 3 kids and 4 dogs. We traveled all of I75 and not 1 hotel had room, not 1 bed to spare. We came across the Royal Inn by accident, went in and took 3 rooms from them, no questions asked, gave us our keys.. Thats it! They were friendly and very helpful. Its not new or modern, but if you need a bed like we did, they were there. We are very grateful for those 3 rooms for 3 days.. Not to mention, its walking distance to everything!
Horrible, Beware You Get Less then you pay for, they have truck parking.....mostly all rented by the month..they have 10 tired traveler needs some sleep rooms, 40 low-income monthly rentals and the rest are you be a meth head or desperate!!!!I checked in night before last, I was told room 1:00am, very quiet..drive around back( semi truck/trailer), I was really, really tired..just wanted shower and sleep..Its was storm windy with rain, so when I walked in room the damp smell didnt surprise me and Ive seen rooms in Alaska and Yukon that were more used then this one, so I thoughtOn entering I had to go #2, just a trigger reaction...as turned the TV on, I shuffled past the bed I noted how frumpy it was made .As walked thru the basin sink area to the bathroom I thought I was walking over a rug or mat, looked into the bathroom and froze..the toilet was cemented to the floor very roughly..the tub looked as old as the Beatles and covered in cigarette burns , the shower curtain was multiple shades of.....tan?But I had business to Do, as I sat there noting the strange specks on the wall I looked for the rug I stepped on.....there wasnt one ...the carpet was tacked down it was just laying on bare slab, no under pad..I need a different room I thought..Finish my business turnt thr light on to wash my hands and as Im washing I see a bug chasing another bug on the light housing, As I head for the door I get a text and got distracted ....grabbed the bedspread to reveal sheets which seemed clean but Im no a crime scene analyst..Some how I got too relaxed and fell asleep on the bed..I woke up about 2 am ish,.As I wake from my nap..I notice another bug in the middle of the TV screen....in a panic of sleeping in that room I called the the front desk ..no answer, again , again no answer..so I grabbed my gear , got in my truck and drove around to the office, no one was there,it was dark but the open sign was on..so parkedrihht in front I went knocked on doorn no responseI dont know how long I sat there(zzzzZ)..decide to go back to room take a shower, change clothes and then leave a $46 lesson...when I got back to the room Id left the heat on..thank goodness..I made quick for the shower I have my own towels #THKGD..turned the lower water on a little brown but it was breif, got it to temp. Turned to shower and.......nothing... at first then sputter sputter, water came from every where but the shower head...WHY DID THEY GIVE ME THIS ROOM? NOTHING ABOUT ME SAYS DRUG ADDICT VAGABOND!!!So now Im standing here in croks only..grudgedly I sit on the edge of the tub on one of their towels..........rinse lather rinse..repeat..No matter what hot water and soap always save the day.All done I dry and start getting dressed and I notice theres bugs everywhere I throw my clothes on grabbed the ice bucket and went on a safari hunt...when I thought Id got them all I decided to take pictures of this dump...see my pictures when I realized I took a picture of a dead for a while lizard yes gecko maybe ..I was done Im out foreve4... I went back to the front desk now open...and some one there ,I go in and theres guy there saying the motel ran his debit card number with out his card or him present.(WHY IS THAT NOT SHOCKING? )The man behind the counter look like Tattoo from fantasy island with a rude attitude..I told him my story and ask to adjust the bill accordingly...he asked me why I didnt tell them about the problems., why I didnt come.ask for a new room...He offered me a different room for my next stay..when I asked about a discount he started talking bolly or hindi..ok I said. You want go that route..Ok I take care of it...since the other guy there was calling police about his identity theft....So two more things look at the pictures the motel provides and then Google map the property.....you find somebody is lying.Second Just pass them upUPDATE 07/2019Stopped by 2 days ago ,,rooms still look the same...just checking
Everyone is correct whom took the time to write a review. I havent stayed there in a long time but i see things havent changed. The manager or whomever it is at the front desk is very rude and not friendly at all and the rooms definetly arent worth what they are charging for them. Everyone that works there is rude and they do constantly stare at you the whole time and then creep around your room as well the whole time you are staying there. They are very nosey people whom dont speak english at all whom you have a hard time understanding them and they most certainly cant understand you when you ask them questions and to top it off they treat you like you are a bother to them as well. Dont understand why all these people are coming to our country that cant speak english and they arent learning our language either but are put into a business where we have to deal with them but we have to learn their language if we want to communicate with them. That doesnt make any sense to me. But thats true also about them trying to rush you out of your room the next morning also. Very bad place to pick to stay for not even a low rate at that. Creepy, nasty environment best thing would be spend extra money and go to next motel down from this one.
Rooms are not ever really clean and youd be lucky to get one that had air conditioning.
Just throw the whole motel in the trash. Its literally a dump. Its very old and run down with duck tape everywhere. Its still has analog tvs and telephones from the 80s. You can tell hookers use the motel for servicing truck drivers and some got beat up due to all the holes in the walls and the dingy sheets. My truck broke down and i was stranded here until some help arrived. Its the only motel with truck parking. I wish my truck would have held on and died in macon. Ill never come back here. Truckers just use uber or lyft and go someplace nicer.
Gross!! Rented the room, walked inside, turned around, couldnt get out!! Door knob was broken, tried to get out of the window, it was painted shut!!! Phone in the room didnt work, used my cell to call front desk. Clerk says ok, ok, i ask if he will come let myself and my husband out. Clerk says ok,ok. 20 minutes later I call the Sheriffs department and ask for someone to come help get us out.😠 Deputy Fowler was my knigjt in shining armour! I asked for a refund, the clerk acts as if he now does not speak english.....😠😠😠😠My advice DONT STOP HERE !!!!!
Creepy, like a Dean Koontz novel. I couldnt stop myself from wondering how many hookers came to their demise at the hand of a sociopathic trucker, while 100 kilos of cocaine changed hands in the next room... had to kill the guy passing through on his way home from somewhere, no witnesses. the dark area in the back... this place should be haunted if it isnt already.
Absolutely horrible. When I read the bad reviews I thought well it can’t be that bad. Well it was by far the worst room I have ever had.
I picked up a friend from here. The place was nasty and my friend was covered in bedbug bites.
No stars period. Left south Florida with my dog and son to evacuate and they wont take pets for hurricane relief no exceptions and the man hung up on me. Rude and careless and I hope they loose business because of this. I am disgusted

This place is far from Royal, if youre on a road trip and want to stop over for a night quite a few places will deliver food and they practically share a lot with Zaxbys
Love that they offer truck driver rates the gentleman at the front desk was very nice, nice rooms, clean and right off the Interstate very Convenient.

This is the nastiest bug invested motel I ever tried to stay in I left the room and sleep in my truck till day night All kinds of people acting loud and out of control all night STAY AWAY from this horrible place should be shut down Pills laying all over the floor Smell was horrible

2021-12-21The worst place ever the room window was open for cold 🥶air to come in. TV Dont have no channels. Remote battery stolen out of it. Phone Dont have card to phone to make a call..I have my cellular phone. So the shower 🚿dont really get hot at all.. this low living $55 dollars remodeling is need in this place ... I only staying 1 night want be back at all

2020-09-20For the money its not bad. Bare bones basic room with a bed ,tv ,table and chairs, microwave and fridge. Its cheap but pretty clean neighbors usually behave and the hotel employees dont bother you too much. Personally I like it.

2020-07-10Very quiet except for the occasional big rig. The manager kept to himself, unlike my experience at the Executive Inn in Warner Robins. Fairly priced, the nicest neighbors and the room was clean and newly renovated. So if youre on your last few of dollars, still have a long ride ahead of you and need some sleep...I recommend the Royal Inn for a night or two.

2021-10-0255.00 night. I found two pills on the floor. A safety pin in the bathroom with rust staining the floor around it. Room had no phone. Microwave was busted and the fridge was nasty.

2021-03-22Walked in the room and there were LIZARDS jumping and running across the beds! Went to get my money back and the little man up front started freaking out and tried to say i messed up the room and all kinds of crazy stuff. Still havent got my money back been over a week and he said it would be 24 hours worst place I have EVER been!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

2019-06-24Rooms were not super clean, although there was no bed bugs. It took all night to get the room cool enough to be comfortable. Too high of a price for such a low grade room.

2018-07-03If you are looking for a cheap hotel this is it. But if you stay on the side that is facing the truck parking be prepared for the noise. The doors to the room arent sealed very well so its really loud. The carpet is filthy so wear socks. Probably best to throw them away instead of washing them because they will be really dirty. Also check out is at 10:30 but just after 10:00 the workers will start beating on the door. Its not a knock. Its a loud beating on the door every 5 mins until you answer. When you answer they will be looking over your shoulder to see if anyone else is in the room. So if you need a shower in the morning before you leave (which you will) do it earlier than 30 min before checkout.

2018-10-21It is an ok place for a truck driver to get some rest. Cable and ac works. Didnt see any bugs. Had an old musty smell. Didnt see hookers or druggies hanging around. Truck wasnt broke into. Its ok for a night or two. Next to restaurants and a store. Price is reasonable.

2018-04-16DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT stay here unless you have no choice. Lets just say the only positives were they are pet friendly and I didnt find any bugs. Manager is rude, room was dirty and we couldnt even take showers because the thing was broke that switches the water over. Would not ever stay here again.
