Windshield had a Crack, needed replacement. Went through insurance. Told to drop car off before 9:30. We dropped car off at 9 am. No communication all day. Drive up at 4:45 pm 15 minutes before closing and he said car wasnt done. They needed 30 to 45 minutes to finish.
I have used this locations many times , very clean and organizedThe team is very professional and keep me informed at all timesGreat work always . BEWARE!! Two different repairs made at this shop. Both a lot smaller than a dime. Both times the repairs cracked across the glass - with no additional impact on the glass. So of course we had to buy a new windshield. They credit you the repair money back, but instead of a $250 bill - you get stuck for $500 plus. The people are nice, but it sure feels like a scam overall. Forgot to mention our windshield wipers do not work correctly now either. I took the vehicle back and the tech said he did a factory reset on them. Didn’t help - it’s almost like the glass has high and low points which cause this weird double take at the end and delays in the middle of the wipe. Find another vendor!!
I had my windshield replaced by Safelite in April 2017. It was a routine job involving road debris and a long horizontal crack. The work was performed through my insurance company as part of my coverage.After the windshield was replaced, I discovered that both the driver and front passenger doors on my car were badly scratched. The scratches were the sort you might expect from a person wearing a belt or pants with rivets leaning against the car, which the rep from Safelite would have had to do to reach the top of the windshield. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice this damage when the Safelite rep was onsite due to shadows and where the damage was (who inspects the doors after a windshield replacement?), so I called it back in to the service center that had originally scheduled the service.At this point I was told that because the damage occurred in an “uncontrolled setting,” which is to say a public parking lot, they couldn’t confirm that they caused the damage.I then escalated through the local repair center in Cartersville (who shows little to no interest in fixing this) to the Safelite “Executive Services” line and their reps.By the end of May, Safelite had finally “agreed” to partially pay for the repairs on damages they had incurred, but as of July have not actually done so.Strongly recommend finding literally anyone else to perform the work on your car. In a pinch, get a video camera and closely monitor the work they’re doing. Not worth the hassle, unless you just don’t care about your car.
They convinced me that their windshield was the equivalent as OEM glass. Their glass created a milky haze on my windshield that affected my vision. I would clean the glass and the milky haze would reappear within a day.I called to complain that their glass is not equivalent. It is missing some kind of coating to prevent this. I wanted to return this glass and get OEM. They refused. I asked how much to just pay for a new OEM windshield and their quote was just under $2K!So, I went to their competitor, got an OEM windshield for $1200 and the haze is gone!Never again.
I contacted Safelite to request a quote. The office was closed, but the recording referenced that we could get a quote online. I went to the website and it was very sime and easy to navigate online. The quotes appear to be very comprable. I did not feel it was expensive for my vehicle.. Feel free to navigate a request for quote online. Youll have your estimate within minutes.
Terrible! You cant call the shop directly to ask if they will work on a small 2in cracked $3k RV windshield. Only you show up and they immediately tell it needs to be replaced. They also said it is impossible to stop a crack yet there are countless professional grade products and well established procedures in doing so. Just look at YT. So a 30 minute drive and terrible customer service. Safelite dont care Safelite replace. What a scam and a waste of time.
They do a good job, but 2 out of 3 times theyve shown up late, even though they had a 5-hour arrival window. Yesterday. I waited from 1 to 6 for Rob to arrive. At 6:00, I get a text that William was on the way and would be here in 5 minutes. More like 15 minutes. My repair was a simple one, he was finished in about 25 minutes. I just hate I had to wait all day for it.
These people did a fine job on my truck although did have to return. Had an early appointment and while the tech was preparing the new glass found that there was some swirling already on the coating, ask me if I wanted a discount or to come back later and hed have a new windshield. I opted to come back later and it was installed easily within 2 hour time frame great job
My windshield repair failed so I called to get my money back. I was told that you cannot have a refund only a credit towards having the entire windshield replaced. The original crack that I payed $175 to fix was a centimeter long as I called as soon as it happened. The fixed centimeter crack is now two inches long. I think the money back life time guarantee is a little misleading since the repair failed and now I would have to pay the difference in repairs which is $316. I would be better off going to another company and replacing my windshield there as they are cheaper $274. I WILL NOT be using safelight again.
I made an appointment via the website for windshield replacement, and I get a call to see if I could come early, I called back and confirmed. Which is why 2 stars, it was easy to make an appointment. However it goes downhill from here.The worker J##n pulls my car in gets it prepped and then he thinks its a good time to look over the replacement glass. It is full of scratches and cant be used. Shouldnt you check out the glass as soon as its delivered before having the customer arrive? Well he tries to set up mobile install, but it is going to rain the next day. But heres the kicker, he wants the mobile installer to come to my house, drive my car to the store and install at the shop but wait, there are no appointments available for ME to drive my car to the store and get my windshield changed. J##n pushed his alternative approach to hard, and no I am not comfortable having a stranger drive my car. No way ever! Wont be using or recommending these folks to anyone. Btw-went to a local competitor and got a better price and they did it the same day.:)
Horrible experience! Jonathan installed a new windshield incorrectly and it cracked down the middle days later. He also didnt replace all of the screws he had taken out. Instead, he glued down the weather strip where the screws should be been put back. I spoke to Craig (the branch manager) and he couldnt have cared less. I had to call customer service and they made everything right. James was the follow up tech and he was awesome!
Absolutely horrible. Disorganized and unable to take care of business. Three weeks ago we got in touch with SafeLite to fix my back windshield. The appointment they originally made was canceled the day before, because they hadnt received the glass. They made an appointment for the next week with a 5 hour window. I spent all day waiting for them to come. When they never showed up we called them and they said that the technician that had the glass went home and they would come first thing the next morning. The next morning they called and said that they didnt have the glass. A week ago I got a rental car from them and they said the glass should be in Thursday. Well it didnt come. Tomorrow I am supposed to move and my car still has a shattered windshield. I am extremely outraged at the service (or lack of) that we have received.
I had my windshield replaced in March at the Cartersville location. Immediately after that I started getting lots of water draining into the passenger foot area. I called to report the leak and they sent a technician out to my house to repair. He couldnt fix the issue, so he said I need to call the company national office to file a Warranty claim. I did that, but they didnt have any appointments immediately available. Since I didnt want to drive the vehicle in the arrange I asked them to try for something faster and they said they would call me back. They never called, and I eventually had to start using the vehicle. After a couple weeks, I called the national office back again and made an appointment. Today, we took the vehicle in for checking and the local Safelite tech and manager said its not their fault... they say the sunroof is not draining. I find this to be highly unlikely because the vehicle did not leak prior to the windshield repair. Something they did as part of the repair impacted the sunroof drainage. I spoke with the manager he denied any responsibility and refused any further action to fix. He did say that this happens a lot... which is concerning. Buyer beware... I would not recommend the Cartersville location.
The staff was great but the website left a lot to be desired. I tried to schedule an appointment but the software/app did not notify me that it didnt work. The windshield wasnt ordered so I had to come back the following day.The work was done well and all windows cleaned as per their guarantee. I would use them again when the need arises.
No Glass for my 2016 Toyota Highlander and NO appointment.Came in on 05/09 for chip repair, Jose said glass needs to be changed, he looked on his computer in the back and said I have 8am on 05/13 openI accepted the appointment, and they said Good Bye, see you on Wednesday.I just showed up; only to be turned away.They have no record of the appointment and no Glass for my car.I took off from work to be turned away and another appointment scheduled.This is Totally Unacceptable.Joey Soko---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------well re-scheduled for 05-15 2020, came in waited 40 minutes to be turned away again, windshield was still not ordered.Was told Jose has made another mistake entering my appointment.They should fire Jose, or spend some time training him correctly.Newest appointment is for 04-20-2020We shall see how this one goes, so far I have wasted hours and a have driven 107 miles for appointments, and the windshield was still not orderedVery Very FrustratedJoey Soko
Everything went smooth! I dropped off my car, walked over to get a pizza, came back, and it was finished. The calibration of my Lane Departure seems to be working well (even though the Honda place said it wouldn’t). The guy who installed the windshield was very friendly! 😊👍
Had a back window bust out of my SUV and i called safelite to make the repairs. All looked good and the technician was super. However 11 1/2 hours later the glass shattered while I was sitting in my SUV. Called the no warranty department and they send a tech. Out to tell me safelite will not be honoring their warranty. Needless to say the warranty is a complete joke!!I called the corporate office to see what they will do.Obviously safelite uses you have a warranty as a selling point and clearly does not stand behind it at the local stores.After whatever happens with corporate I will be a #neveragain customer.
Edit: The manager did call me and after another delay due to rain, I got a discount and the manager offered to have someone come out the same day. Tech wore safety gear so not to repeat the gashing that James recieved from my shattered window. My back glass was fixed and looks great. I probably would not use Safelite again because it was such a hassle. Would have been very pleased if the communication had been there.Absolutely unnaceptable. Having my shattered back glass replaced, if anyone ever completes the job. Five days ago (Tuesday), a pleasant technician (James) showed up at around 3 oclock. Unfortunately, James happened to injure himself while on the job and had to go to the hospital. I felt as though someone should have come out and finished the job, but maybe they were very booked. So we rescheduled for today (Saturday) from 12 to 5. My husband was able to get off of work to stay home and wait on our tech, Andrew. Now before James came to my house, he gave me a call and let me know he would be arriving around 2-5. I havent heard ANYTHING from Andrew all day. My appointment was again supposed to be from 12-5. When 5 rolled around, I got a little worried that Andrew might be running late. So I called the call center around 5:45. They were unable to reach the office or Andrew but told me that it still looked like that I was on his route. She also gave me the techs phone number which rang straight to a full voice mail. At this point Im more than annoyed but Im still on the list. So I wait another hour and call the call center again. I get, Im sorry maam but I cant give you any more information since we cant reach him and the office is closed. ANOTHER HOUR and Im starting to accept that Andrew is probably not coming since it is 8 oclock and dark. I called the call center AGAIN and Wesley was so nice and listened to my frustrations. Of course now everyone is gone for the weekend so management will be getting back to me on Monday. I hope? I hope that they get their stuff together as my life does not revolve around their TERRIBLE communication and Im in nursing school and my husband and I both work. And my car is undriveable. We can not afford to miss any more days buy well see what happens if I hear from anyone on Monday.
Went in for a chip repair at the shop in Cartersville. The guy working on vehicle was doing a few things at once. The part they put on the windshield to fix the chip fell off, not once but twice while he was away from the vehicle. When done he said it did not turn out very good and gave other excuses. I asked if it had to do with that falling off twice he said yes but it was someone else fault and not his. The chip was way worse than it was when I got there. Read the other reviews on this shop. Save yourself some time and money and go somewhere else.
Called them out to replace my windshield they cut my broke one out and said they couldnt replace it becouse of a little serfice rust on the factory paint..so I ground out the entire windshield area to bare metal primed and painted it, after two days they returned saying they couldnt install it becouse it was painted. So now my car is still sitting outside with no glass..worst experience ever. So now Im getting my lawyer involved becouse of damage to my dash..
I was told by the call center that the crack could be repaired for free (covered by insurance) because it was smaller than a dollar bill. I drove 30 minutes to the nearest Safelite location in Cartersville (from Woodstock) only to be told it would have to be replaced for just under $500. Bait and switch!
I have 2000 for excursion and busted my back windshield out of my car they were the only place that would do a replacement for me and not kill me with the price !!! They replaced and cleaned up all the glass from my car in less then a hour I highly recommend them to everyone that were awesome!!!
Normally love these guys but they just royally screwed us. We were travelling through Georgia yesterday when a rock hit our windsheild and it began to crack.....throughout our drive the crack was getting larger and larger. Since we are headed to bumpy roads in the mountains we called them up. They were very nice on the phone and gave us an 8am appt for the next morning (today). So, we wake up super early so we can get this fixed and get back on the road....drive to their location for our appt and they tell us no go....somehow the appt got set for next Sat? Makes no sense bc we explained in detail we are only passing through. Needless to say....we now have a damaged windsheild, no ability to get it fixed, and barely an apology other than....we could do it later this afternoon. Sorry, but your error in scheduling should not cause us further delays and hardship.
We had a windshield replaced by Safelite in February of 2016. It started leaking. After 5 attempts to fix it and damage to our car, the manager finally took the car to the shop and repaired the windshield. That is the beginning of the nightmare-the car (a four month old, brand new car when Safelite first touched it) began to smell so badly that you could smell the mold and mildew from the outside of the car. My wife had to throw away one of our daughters bags because after it stayed in the car overnight, it smelled so bad that she could get the smell out. To date, we have not had our car in over four months. Our Safelite contact changed cell phone numbers without letting us, the dealership, or the body shop have a way to contact him. The body shop bill remained unpaid for over a month and the bodyshop began calling my wife at work. Now, the car sits at a dealership who told me this morning they are waiting on Safelite because they have all the parts ready to put the car back together. Safelite wants to repeat a service that has been done and failed two times for the smell. We have made thousands of dollars of payments and insurance on a car that I do not even have. We go weeks without contact form the Safelite Rep and end up having to call him and play phone tag. To their credit, Safelite has provided a rental car--that is the only positive thing I have to say. I would not recommend Safelite, Consumer BE WARE!!!
I took my car to have my windshield replaced due to a crack that I had filed a insurance claim for on 6/4/19. When Alvin started to change it he called me out there to look at it. Him, Johnathon, and their boss said that I had a stress crack. Also that nothing has hit my windshield to cause this. So I explained to them about me going to Pye Honda in Dalton and they said that it was caused by something hitting my windshield!! More or less it was my fault. So the guys at safelite typed up a letter stating that it was a stress crack. I took it to Shottenkirk Honda in cartersville and they did the right thing!! They replaced it for free. Thank you Alvin and Johnathon!!

2022-06-22They did a great job on replacing my windshield. I found a couple code online that helped me save some money since I was paying out of pocket. Job was done in an hour. Staff was courteous and explained everything when I got there and before I left. Thanks for the great customer service.

2022-07-19I had them repair my windshield on my truck after a pebble hit it and was assured that I would not have any issues. Now my windshield has a crack spreading from that repair. If you have the option to use someone else, do so. Now I have to look at paying the full deductible to repair as it is not just a chip.

2022-07-18One of the worst experiences I’ve had with a service company. 1st windshield was put in got cracked which I was fine with. Accidents happen. 2nd windshield was way off centered which caused a leak when heavily rained. It was a work truck so i wasn’t to concerned on look so I just calked it myself.

2022-07-13My windshield got a stress crack in it after a repair. The repair technicians were rudely laughing. The repair technicican took me out to my car where he took a flat lock and tried to groove a knick in my windshield that doesnt exist and said that a rock hit my windshield which is a lie. Theae men are unteustworthy and do not know what they are talking about. The manager refused to give me a number to reach someone to complain.

2022-02-27This was the worse experience ever. Safelite replaced by passenger window. 2 months later, my window would not roll down. They sent a technician who after a couple hours tells me my window track is broken. Now when I try to roll the window down it makes an awful noise, which it did not do that before he was here for 2 hours. Then he tells me they couldnt repair it and they would have to go to a junk yard to get the part because they cant get them. I called my dealership and they said the part would be in 2 weeks.But he said they would have to get it from a junk yard. They offered to install it for free, image that. Really free but you said you didnt break it. Worse service ever and he broke my window track and lied about the part. And lied, said he didnt do it. We watched him on the ring door bell and he must of pulled my window out at least 5 times. But he didnt break the track.... do yourself a favor find someone else who stands by the warranty and doesnt lie to your face.
