Salsas Bar & Grill in other cities:
Worst service EVER!! My server had to be asked for items ordered multiple times and some things never made it to the table. When we asked for our checks, he told us he was busy and had another server bring them and then had the nerve to add 15% gratuity. We requested to speak to the manager and it took 45 minutes for one to appear. I was very displeased with the service as well as the good.
Manager Claudia Perez very disrespectful!!!! No management or customer services skills!! Will be following up with higher management or owners! I truly hope Claudia is not a part of the Salsas family! Clearly she takes Salsas customers for a joke! Salsas is celebrating 20yrs in Augusta, if they want 20 more they might want to get rid of Claudia!
June 11, 2022: my sister and I met for an early dinner/my birthday at around 4:30 PM. Isabella, our waitress was very attentive to our order which came out piping hot, very fresh and very good. My sister had the Carna Asada fries and Esquites. I had the Fajita quesadilla. This was our first time eating at Salsa’s and I must say it was really good. I don’t know if it was because of the time of day, but everything was really good. I hope this is the experience I have the next time I decide to eat here.
The quality of this place has varied over the years. They used to be really great years ago, and I would have had no issues recommeding them back then. Nowadays, theyve changed the menu several times, and have also steadily increased the prices of several items (I suppose in response to offering a larger set of menu options) while reducing the amount of food you get. Nowadays, theyre pretty ok and if you get a good waiter they will try their best to get you everything you ask for. The food menus can be a little hit or miss, but youll probably find something you like. This visit we had carne con salsa, an enchilada, an order of ceviche, an order of guacamole sauce and some elotes. The ceviche was plentiful but probably a bit too covered in lemon juice. The elote and the guacamole were both kind of bland but when we asked the waiter for more chili powder they were happy to oblige. The carne con salsa was pretty decent (I had it with chicken), and the enchilada was well prepared. Wed come again, but just be aware some of the items may not be 100% to your liking so be sure to ask for an exchange if its not to your liking.
To start off, food is great. But I ended up sitting and waiting at the drive through window for 10 mins , ended up calling the restaurant to get their attention, then proceed to wait even longer for the food that was supposed to be done by the time I got here . Overall burned up my whole lunch and then some to just get some tacos , deff not ordering Togo from here again. Got there at 12:20, didn’t leave till 12:40 .
I almost never eat Mexican food, but I received a Salsas coupon in the mail that made me want to go here. I ordered the lunch specials chicken fajitas for dine-in and chicken chimichanga for take-out as dinner later. Both were good meals. I ate them both quickly because they were delicious.
The waitress is rude with attitude. We asked her for drinks and she keep asking what we want to order. We told her we will let give us few minutes to sip on our drinks. After she brought our drink she went back inside and not coming out. We asked another waiter he said rudely since you are not ordering food she doesnt want to serve you. The funny thing is that we want to order food but not being rushed by they all having attitude and we Dont see anyone waiting for tables. At first we liked the restaurant and sitting outside. We loved the fact the servers are following safty protocol wearing masks and gloves. But their attitude is off the chart. The act like they are working in fast food and not in a restaurant. It is our first time in this restaurant. We have been to other restaurants and they have treated us very well and we always tip the servers 25% to 30% based on their service and friendliness. But I dont think we come back here at all.
The prices keep going up but the quality of food is decreasing.I get the same thing everytime- Shrimp Ranchero, and it has been hit or miss for the past few times. Im not sure if it changes based on whos working that night, but sometimes its missing an item. Other times there are too few shrimp. Its just inconsistent. Further, the wait times have gotten longer, even though I call it in. I still have to wait a bit for someone to come to the window.
The food was excellent!!! Service was fast and efficient!! 4stars because the margarita pitcher for $10 was filled with ice. Whice yield 3 cups. During lunch they have a $2 margarita. So i would have been better off with that deal.. Needless to say, lunch was great, and we finished off with some $2 margaritas.
Best Mexican in Augusta, hands down! Its the most authentic and the menu has the largest variety of dishes. Their drink and food specials are always great and the staff is always friendly. Thursday taco night are their best deals, 2$-2.50$ specialty tacos and theyre delicious. It does get crowded on Thursdays but its worth it! They also have a great patio area and serve a variety of chips and salsa.
This is so far my favorite Mexican style restaurant in the area. The menu has a lot of great options, and theyre happy to customize the orders if able. The chips, salsa (they offer two varieties standard), and queso are fantastic. The decor is neat, and they also have a bar and patio dining. The wait staff are attentive and friendly. The only drawback is that it does get crowded and noisy sometimes.
Wonderful meal! The food was delicious and quick. I got the Tuesday special and was NOT at all disappointed. It was a chicken burrito covered in melted cheese, a side of beans, and a lettuce and tomato salad that I mixed in with the burrito. And the beans were absolute perfection. On a side note, the small $2 Margarita was just perfect to tie up the meal in a neat little bow. Next time Ill be sure to get pictures
Still is a good place for Mexican food. Used to be better before they changed cooks about 5 years ago. Now everything hasnt had the same taste. Used to be seasoned very well ,all of theyre dishes. Now under new management.and has been for several years. The new management and the staff are very friendly and attentive. But the food doesnt taste the same. As well as the store in Evans across from Walmart is different too. And the taste of theyre Mexican dishes not like it used to be. But the staff are very good too. Theyll try to get you what your looking for as far as authentic Mexican cuisine. Jeff Fairley. And a shout out to la cantina in Daniel village. All in house made with fresh ingredients. Should give them a shot if your dissatisfied with the other Mexican restaurants in town.
The wait was about 15 minutes and the hostess was pleasant. When she sat us she only gave us two menus and there was three of us, no big deal. Our server took a while to show up and from there it went downhill. Our drinks took too long since nothing came from the bar. Chips and salsa finally got to the table after we had been seated about 15 minutes. Our server disappeared from the table for the remainder of our meal unless she brought us something. My glass of iced tea stayed empty almost my entire meal, when she finally refilled it she did not include more ice. I drank it that way as I needed the moisture. The food was okay, nothing spectacular, the chicken seemed very dry in two of the dishes we had. When we were finished and ready to leave we had to have a bus boy hunt for our server. I think we will choose another Mexican restaurant next time. The shining point at the end, the hostess thanked us for coming.
I went Monday 9/12 the food was great and nice environment however, my waitor was not the best this time and he forced a tip on my debit card. I tried calling today and didnt get to speak with a manager at all to inform them of the issue. The did however call my bank already to dispute the extra charges to my account. Please be careful when paying with card. I dont leave tips on my card for this reason.
From start to finish, it was a pretty unsatisfactory experience. Our waiter just didnt seem to give too much of a care. We asked for 3 waters, and got 1. Took forever for the guy to come back to take our order. Proceeded to bring out SCOLDING plates, not hot, but scolding and didnt tell anyone.Found a bone in my enchiladas. The beef tip chimichanga was filled with ground beef. The kids mac and cheese was some generic easy mac that was super dry, the kid wouldnt even eat it.Overall, good salsa, but not worth the poor service.
Best Mexican restaurant in Augusta hands down. Claudia treated us like family and the food was extremely good, portions are amazing. And let me tell y’all they have so many different flavors of mimosas!!!!!!!! Definitely coming back. Thanks Claudia for such an amazing time.
Food was really amazing! Cozy atmosphere and great people. I forgot what I ordered but it was awesome and I dont think Ive ever had cactus that tasted this great, needles and all (needles not included). I took some photos but they look like a dissected frog from science class because I took them when we were almost done with dinner which makes no sense. Highly recommend.
I first went to salsas when I was 11 and I am SO ADDICTED to Salsas (In a good way). I love going. This was the first Mexican restaurant Ive ever went to and I cant find another Mexican restaurant thats better! I love this place so much. The food is amazing and the waiters and waitresses are all so friendly! No doubt one of my favorite restaurants.
I loved the salsa. It was mildly spicy and not too thick. My son enjoyed his soft taco, rice, and beans, and I devoured my burrito loco. Outside dining offers plenty of shade. The staff is friendly and wearing masks. There is ample parking. Overall I was very happy with everything.
I went here on a first date because I enjoyed it the last time I went with family. We drove 25 minutes to get there. The food was ok. However the server asked us three times if we were ready to order before we had decided, we were in no rush, it was a first date... Then it took a considerable amount of time to get the salt, pepper, and hot sauce so my food got cold, and I ended up eating it cold and without salt and hot sauce. It made a nervous situation even more uncomfortable. We still left a tip and did not complain but I dont plan on going back. Not worth the drive.
I love Salsas! The food is great, I took a star away because I really dont care for their beef, I stick to the chicken or pork now. The prices are a bit high but it works out well for the portion sizes. Sometimes can get two meals out of one. Im so glad they put a drive thru in !
I had a Burrito Loco, and the cook staff and wait staff were kind enough to let me put chorizo in it as my protein. It was probably honestly the best burrito Ive ever had. They have two types of salsa, one is more mild and somewhat smoky flavored, while the other is a more spicy salsa; you get both kinds as soon as you sit down. The wait staff (thank you so much, Kevin) was prompt and courteous and lit up the room! Thank you guys so much, it was delicious! 5/5 I WILL be back.
We always have a blast a Salsas! The food is fresh, fast, and delicious! The place is bright and cheerful, I love the decor. The staff is always nice. I always enjoy my visit, it is an inexpensive meal that taste like it should be pricey! My favorite treat is the white cheese dip.My favorite meal is the Chicken Taco Salad.
I love Mexican food. This WAS NOT IT. No authenticity, overcooked rice, overcooked corn,Margarita tastes like JUICE. Elotes literally frozen corn on the cob boiled and covered. Nothing like the picture on the menu. Wings were hard and burned. Everything flavorless. I have more to say but do better.
First of all, the food was good. However, my entire dining experience was not impressive. For starters, I came in and sat down on a shard of glass. Did not receive the chips and salsa when we sat down. The tables who came in after us did receive them. I also asked for no onions in my tacos...can you guess? There were onions. Lastly, as I was parched and my mouth was dry as the Sahara desert, no one came by for what seemed like forever.
My boyfriend and I had the best time at Salsas. The food was absolutely devine and the service was beyond amazing. Claudia, the manager of the restaurant took time to talk to us and recommended the best mimosas ever. The restaurant was super clean and beautifully decorated. This is a must go restaurant.
My Margarita taste like juice and it was top shelf, it was nothing top shelf about it. Food taste like it came straight out of a can, heated up and served on our plate. The guacamole was not fresh, nothing was Mexican authentic about this place. The only nice thing about this place was the server.
Spending the night with colleagues. Part business meeting, part birthday celebration, and part social gathering. I the atmosphere is good. This spot is jumping. I really never know what to order so I wait until a waiter passes by with something I would like to eat and find out the name. My old stand by is steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas. How can you go wrong with that combo. For all of you sports fans there are televisions in the bar area to catch up on your favorite team. The staff is friendly and eager to serve, no request is too outrageous (but be considerate). All in all, I did like my visit, and yes I will probably do a return visit to see if I can find my next go to Mexican meal. Happy eats.
Very busy. I received by side and waited for the main part of my entree. Our waiter was apologetic and I could see the kitchen was completely slammed so I wasnt too bothered. The food was pretty good. My only complaint would be the lack of sauce on my fish tacos. They were pretty dry. Id go back the next time Im in town though.
Went there last week to get the chicken soup, walked in waited to be acknowledged, I stopped a male server said I would like to place a to go order he says ok one minute please I say sure so after standing there for a few minutes I sit at the bar the bartender clearly thought I was invisible cause she never acknowledged my presence, so after about 10 minutes of waiting to place my order I decided to call the order in from the bar , bartender takes my order still has not acknowledged me, another 5 minutes go by and she finally says have you been helped I responded I called it in already while I was sitting here waiting for you to acknowledge me, the 1 star is cause the soup was good..
Good tasting food. Place was packed and service was very slow compared to other local Mexican restaurants. Waitress was a little ditzy and keep leaving for long periods of time. Looked as if each waiter/waitress had one table per area of the whole restaurant, there were all running around and bumping into one another. Very unorganized and failure on management. Ordered draft special and tasted flat and watered down.
If you want to try the best quality of Mexican food in town, Then this is the place. However, the price is about 10% higher than other Mexican restaurants. But you play for what you get. The food is always great. Service is almost all the time good. The atmosphere is always great.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Augusta. I love the stuffed avocado. Its stuffed with seafood and cheese and comes with a fresh salad. The salads here are very good. The tomatoes are always fresh a flavorful and the margueritas are the best anywhere around. The food is always served hot and the service is excellent. In my opinion its the best Mexican restaurant in Augusta.
Chips and salsa were great. Ordered chicken empanadas which tasted rancid. I think they were cooked in old oil. Our server was very nice and offered a replacement for something else. (I just hope they found out what made the empanadas tasted so bad). I ate my chicken soup instead which was very tasty.
The food was ok, but our waiter was extremely rude. We asked him if we could have another salsa bowl and he was that we could only have 1 bowl and 1 bowl of chips? Then he said we might have to pay for extra chips? I was confused by all of that - but maybe he was having a bad day. So we tried being extra nice to him and making sure We said please and thank you and he just grunted back at us. Other than that the atmosphere was colorful and vibrant.
Waited at hostess area for 5 minutes. During this time no one acknowledged our presence. We had a great waitress, attentive enough, food came quickly. Menus were dirty, there were actually crushed chips inside my menu. I watched an employee wipe down a table and then wipe menus with the same cloth. Restrooms in need of work and a deep clean.
When my wife and I arrived at the restaurant, we were the only ones waiting to be seated. It took nearly five minutes to be seated. My wife had the steak street tacos, which she said was okay. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Nachos. The order was the smallest order of Nachos I have ever seen at a Mexican restaurant. Most restaurants half orders are larger. The chicken was good, but there was almost no cheese sauce on the chips and no cheese sauce at all on the chicken. The nachos came with sour cream and guacamole (in a small plastic condiment container). All this was at a cost of 9.95. When we asked to talk to the manager, his only comment was to ask if I wanted another order in a rather surly tone. It seemed like he thought we were being very petty and picky. My wife and I hadnt been out to dinner together in a while and were looking forward to a nice meal together, needless to say the food and the managers attitude ruined any chance of that. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant so far in the Augusta area. The food is always fresh, well prepared, and the service is fast and excellent. In addition to all of that I like the cozy atmosphere the restaurant offers. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
Worst customer service. They told us it was a 3hr wait. After we spoke to a lady who was taking orders at 11am that we cannot pay now for later pickup. She assured us to call when we ready for pickup 15mins prior and our food will be ready. After speaking to management they told us. They dont care who we spoke to, its still 3hrs wait. It will be longer the more we argue on the phone!!!!!!!We had a party of 15 people at our home waiting. We had no choice but to order pizza. Cinco de mayo was ruined we will never pay a dime in that establishment. .
Service has always been hit or miss with every time we go. We either get a great waitress/waiter or one that rarely comes to check on us. This last time we went and waited 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. No one every showed. The food may be good (its no El Sombrero in Macon) but we are tired of the inconsistent service. We wont be back.
Tried to place a pick up order. It’s Friday so I looked on their online menu for Friday specials. Chose the don pollo. Called. The lady argued with me that it’s not 7.95 and it was 10 something and acted clueless. I told her to forget it. Was going to be the first time trying salsas. Guess I’ll be sticking to El Rey.
This is our favorite Mexican spot in town. You can find the classics but also some more authentic dishes that can really change up the experience. The staff is efficient and there hasnt been a time weve been out of drinks for more than a minute or two. There are a lot of tables, plus outdoor seating, and bar seating, so the wait is never long.
Better than your typical chain Mexican restaurant in a small town here in the south. A little small is size but I believe its better than Montereys in both quality of service and food. And you dont have the typical cheap Mexican restaurant menu here, you know. The speedy special. Im sure they can make it but their menu is specific to only them.
Overall, the place is one of the better Mexican places (and Ive been to all of them). Its main drawback is the lack of consistency between visits. In fact, I would say it has probably the widest swings in quality compared to most other restaurants. Some days the food is fantastic, while others its bland and tasteless. Some days the tacos come with onion, cilantro, limes, and salsa; other days they come bare.
Today was the first time I had such a bad experience at the restaurant.I order a taco salad with shrimp chicken and steak. The chicken wasflat like a pancake cooked till it was hard as a brick. Steak was cubed steakshrimp was undetectable because it was cooked as long as chicken was so it had a crust. I had to send my unsweet tea back because it had a fishy taste :(. Got water instead. Possibly a new cook? mini side is two table spoons of cheese is $1.75 I was with a group of coworkers. They have just lost me as a customer.
Best guacamole in town (get casero). The staff is always very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The attentiveness can suffer during peak times (Tuesday evenings). The taco plates are very nice and a decent deal. The chicken soup is quite tasty and perfect on a cold day. The place is always clean and accommodates large groups easily.
This was our first time at Salsas Bar & Grill. We ordered some food to go. The hostess who handled our order was great - very courteous & efficient, and she made sure we had everything we needed in the bag. The cheese dip was good but the taco salads were just eh...the shell was super soggy at the bottom and full of juice (assumably from the beef?), so we didnt even finish those. Overall it was a good experience though.
For a “family” owned business during the hard times that everyone is going through my family’s experience today with this restaurant was nothing but horrible! They DO NOT care about customer service or making things better and evidently make enough money for their small business to not worry about losing customers. I called at 11:30 this morning to place my order for Cinco de Mayo for pickup for 6:00 this evening. This was a $100 order and was told to call back 30-45 minutes before 6:00 to place my order and pay. I was told it would not be too busy cause it doesn’t take that long to prepare. I did just as I was told and called at 5:10 and was told there was a 3 hour wait. I explained my issue and how that was not told to me. The girl could have cared less if what I had to say so I asked to speak with the manger or owner. A guy gets on the phone and within seconds he doesn’t want to hear me out so he tells me to hold on. Another girl gets on the phone and when I tell her I was talking to the manager she informs me there is no manager or owner even there (so they lied). She didn’t care about anything g and told me there was 100 people in front of me waiting on orders and it would be 3 hours as well. Then she proceeded to tell me that she couldn’t find out who gave me my info this morning cause she had 7 females working that shift. At that point she rudely says I can put your order in now instead of you going back and forth with me and you may only have to wait an hour and a half at which I said so I can be there at 7:00 (it was 5:30 at this point) and my order will be ready and she said I can’t guarantee it. So you want me to drive 2 minutes to your restaurant and you still can’t guarantee a time? I told her I would go to Facebook with this and she had the nerve to say “ok”! So all my family at home waiting for this food and we got stuck with pizza from Papa Johns! I will never support this small family owned business nor recommend and I will definitely try to change all the minds to everyone I know!
This restaurant is great. The food, drinks, and environment is great. The service is excellent. Gilson is a great waiter, we have an incident with are margarita which my wife spilled and he had gave us a complimentary margarita pitch to replace it with no additional charge. We appreciate him, the staff at LA Salsa Mexican restaurant. The are great.
Salsas is really outstanding! Other than the extremely awkward entrance where the hostess seating area backs up out the door, I dont have any complaints about this experience. The staff is very friendly, prompt, and works hard. The chips were fresh and I love that you have your choice of hot or mild salsa. I also like that there is an ample selection of hot sauce right at your table. I ordered the shrimp ceviche appetizer as a late lunch and it was fresh and delicious. Even though it appeared my waitress got sat multiple tables at one time, she did an excellent job providing drink refills as well as extra salsa. Would definitely come back.
Quick to get food to the table, they should slow it down a bit and take the time to add some seasonings. Never thought I would describe Mexican food as bland.Refills on your drinks dont exist been empty since the meal arrived and assume the check will show up before the waitress does to see if anything is needed.I guess I could drink the sweet tea she brought that no one ordered and she wouldnt take back.Overall there are better options for a good meal. Perhaps Taco Bell.....
4 on a Friday nightWe showed up at 630. They seated us in about 30 which was not bad considering the time. The service was nice, not overly pushy. We sat down and ordered our food. They have horchata, but the server warned use it was prepacked cap before eating. Drinks came in 5 minutes with chips and their delicious house salsa. We ordered and waited 40 minutes for the appetizer. It was good, but the time required to deep fry wings and make some quesadillas should have been much quicker. The dinners showed up 15 minutes after. The food was very good. The price was 7 to 10 per plate. As for authentic Mexican, not at all. Very Americanized. I was disappointed they neglected some core Mexican foods. What they did have was good. I would not hesitate to recommend for anyone looking for a good place to eat.
Great place to visit with the whole family. We have been here twice and have enjoyed hot food and good service. Seems to be a solid place to visit anytime of the day.Clean restrooms and high chairs and nice cuts of chicken in the fajitas. I recommend that you try it out for yourself.
Customer service was good, the food was pretty good the only thing I wasnt please with is our food wasnt right the first time and it wasnt hot and it took them a long time to bring out our chicken tenders/fries and they didnt have enough waiters or waitress on hand so it was a long time before our a waitress came to check on us
Food was a little bland. My friend ordered nachos and it was the smallest plate of nachos I have ever seen in my whole life. Had to even ask for more toppings because it came with like nothing on it. Dont know if it was just an off day for them. Ill go at least one more time to see if its better.
I have tried a lot of the mexican restaurants in Augusta and Salsas has the best taste and quality. Taco Thursday is very popular and there is usually a short wait to be seated. The staff is fast and friendly. They get your order to you hot and sizzling in no time. Great place for the whole family. They are popular on Thursdays for their drink specials as well. Good prices and tasty dishes make for a great night out....i give it 5 stars
Love the Guacamole they prepare at your table. Ingredients are fresh and prepared to your taste. Very generous portion served with crispy tortilla chips. So delicious ! All their food is so good and big servings of all your favorites will leave you satisfied and returning soon.
I love this place. The food is always great and hot. But thus past time when we visited with my husband and kids (it was the dinner rush) , our waitress was very nice but then almost half way through our meal she came to us with our check. She did not ask if we wanted dessert or not and my husband had to slow her down saying we werw not through yet and wanted to order dessert. We were finally ready to order dessert and we asked for 3 fried Ice Creams and 1 flan. She proceeds to tell us there is no fried ice cream and they havent had any for 2 weeks....which is kind of hard to believe. Usually fried ice creams are a staple of any Mexican restaurant. In my opinion they were just trying to get us out the door to serve more people. Well, we had asked for the manager to see if this was true and the manager was a little bit of a smart..you know what. So he eventually says would you like me to go to the back and maybe find one somewhere in freezer....really?! Are you gonna milk the cow at the same time? We are not mad at the fact that there wasnt any fried ice cream, we understand that restarants run out of food that day....but the fact that you javent so called had it for 2 weeks and its on your menu says something.
Service has dropped off badly. I honestly cant tell if they are constantly short staffed and spreading their employees too thin, or if the staff is just poorly trained and cant handle a dinner crowd.Food takes forever to come out; last time my tacos had gotten so soggy that the hard shell was gooey by the time they actually made it out to me. Also had to wait an extra 30 minutes after eating just to get a check. As soon as the food came out, the waiter we had lost interest in us. We actually had to get another server to get him for us, then wait even longer for the check.
First experience here was a few years back on a lunch and had a very long wait time for my drinks and food during lunch. Fast forward to today and its my favorite Mexican joint in town. Their salsas are amazingly flavorful, entrees are the best around, and chirizo dip.
Superb! Ample parking. Great location. This is by far the best place to dine in the CSRA! From the fresh made guacamole, to the sizzling hot fajitas. You can tell the entrepreneurs behind this establishment know what they are doing. They keep improving their menu and atmosphere. The service is quick and attentive. The drinks always hit the spot. They are knowledgable in vegetarian and vegan options as well. I cant wait to be back. Check it out for yourself!
Overpriced below mediocre food:My Fajita Nachos were sad.. beef was chewy and gamey and very little cheese sauce with no other toppings. Wifes Taco Salad was a greasy soup. Daughters cheeseburger and fries seemed to be the best food at the table, but she threw up that night, and she has a strong constitution and no other signs of a viral illness.Obviously, we will never go there again.
If you want to try the best microwave Mexican food in town, this is your place! Refried beans and red sauces tasted like they were canned goods. Now, when your food comes out in 5 minutes, you know NOTHING is made fresh, theres a reason your plate is hot. We were very disappointed with the food but again were from Texas and theres nothing like Tex-Mex food. Nonetheless this is microwave Mexican at its best! We give it 1 star for the spicy salsa and decent frozen margarita but the food needs a lot of improvement.
The service here was aweful! Half my family got there food and the other half had to wait 20 extra minutes. When we finally did get our food we had to wait another 10 minutes for tortillas and silverware. I was severely disappointed. I could almost excuse the service if it was busy but it was not busy at all and there where multiple servers standing around talking. I do not recoment this place at all!
I lived in New Mexico for 30 years and have been desperately searching for Tex Mex like home. I LOVED the chicken enchiladas, salsa and pico de gallo. I would eat here at least 3 times a week if I could. Prices are reasonable and the service was...not great, but they had a few large parties to serve also.
EDIT 2: la única razón que continuamos a comer aquí es que la comida está excelente. Today I had the Carne Asada plate (phenomenal for Augusta) and my companion had the carnitas tacos (good as always.) Jordan was the bartender. He was great. However, it still took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Jordan arrived after doing midshift bar duties (since he doesnt have a bar back) but the rest of the staff was busy playing on their phone or talking to acknowledge us and other guests. Once Jordan arrived, service was fast and smooth...a replay of Oscar. PS where is Oscar?Recommendations: close between lunch and dinner service to allow staff to reset and break. Hire a bar back. Increase service support staff. Ensure the hostess/hosts have adequate shift rotations.EDIT: The ONLY reasons I continue to come here is because of Oscar (best waiter ever) and the kitchen staff. The kitchen turns out some of the best Mexican food this side of the Mississippi. And Oscar always makes us feel welcome and tends to us diligently without being overbearing. The REST of the staff, especially at the bar, completely ignore you. Photo proof. My girlfriend and I sat at the bar for 20minutes and she said nothing to us while standing a mere 2 feet away. Oscar came from the other side of the restaurant to tend to us. Were regulars, but if hes not working werew not coming. Do better.eexican food in Augusta. Brunch was great, the breakfast tacos reminded me of Houston. The black beans and rice = yum. If youre in the mood for a TexMex fix, then Salsas is your spot. They have aguas frescas and the Mayan Mango margarita is banging. I strongly suggest Sunday brunch and get the breakfast tacos.
Reservation means nothing to this place. We made a reservation a week in advance, I arrive 15 minutes prior to our reserve time and they had given our table to another group! My party had to sit on the benches outside and wait past 1:00 waiting for the other group to eat, pay, and leave. Completely disrespectful and unprofessional! Never again.

2022-01-03I went looking for tamales but this is not the place! The lightly fried chicken tamale is a meal everyone should skip. My mom said her chicken taco salad was good however, the place needs a good dusting.

2022-04-25Last week, after 20minutes sitting at the bar someone finally noticed me! It’s just me and 3 other people that I don’t know. Not very busy at 2:20pm on a weekday. Chips, drinks, salsa from customers that were left before I got here and still sitting here. The manager is here at the bar laughing. Just another day at the terribly managed salsa bar!!

2021-10-12Truly enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Monday has a great double special: $4.00 dips & $9.00 Pick Two Combo Dinners w/Rice and beans. Cant beat the price for how much food you get (plus the yummy double salsas). Pace yourself when you go, LOL...plus theres drink specials as well, which I didnt indulge in but are probably worth it.Salsas is definitely a place to stop and between the delicious food, very competent wait staff, and colorful decor...or eat outside if the weather suits your needs. 😎

2021-11-23Good Mexican food and Great service. My husband got the Chimichanga his only complaint was the size of it. He said he wishes it was larger. I had a steak and shrimp Burrito. It was really good. The table side Guacamole is very flavorful as well.

2021-08-11I go here for lunch just about every other weekend. Service is always pretty decent and the food is hot and fresh. If you like vegetables you should try the ranchero special, its so good.

2022-06-03It was good food, but for the amount we spent on 3 burritos I wasnt that impressed especially for the size of the one. The wait staff was on point and quick so thats a plus.

2021-03-23I love good food. I like Mexican food. I love their food. It hit a good spot in my stomach. I enjoyed eating there with my family. The food came quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed their NEW BARBECUE NACHOS.

2022-08-04The food was good, but what brought the rating down was the noise level inside the restaurant. There were no large groups around us but it was hard to hear conversations at my own table. Also, if you run out of salsa, you have to ask your waiter for more instead of having a small decanter at the table.

2022-08-10Finding true Mexican food is not an easy task. Salsas did not disappoint. Food, salsa & chile is truly spicy when requested. I visited with a party of 5 & we loved the menu. The meals were 5/5. Customer service is also great. Our server Pablo was extremely attentive making this location my familys now go-to when in town.
