FRAUD! The owner of the salton motor company sells cars with problems (many lights on and errors on the dashboard) and additional service from PWI that covers absolutely nothing. PWI does not refund damages, its just money thrown in the trash. The owner of salton motor tells all sorts of stories and does not return the money. On all questions to return the money very rudely says threats and hangs up. PWI also refuses to do anything and return the money! Policy number J19196****Be aware , there can be many problems here.See you in court!
Joe was the best sales person ever! He made me feel like I made a great purchase. He wasn’t pushy nor did he try to rush me. My Lexus was having an electrical problem a week after I purchased the vehicle but Joe and Mr. Salton took the car from me and fixed the problem free of charge. I haven’t had any problems with my car since! Great job, 5 stars, definitely recommend.
Customer Service was good,. However, the product was not so good. I bought a car from Salton for my son only to end up putting an extra $3000 into the engine and transmission. My advice would be to bring your own mechanic if you want to buy from this place.

Always feel a little skeptical of used car dealers because of the reputation most of them have. But we just bought our 2011 Honda Pilot from these guys and they were FANTASTIC! It was so quick and easy. Mr. Salton was very knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything I was signing. Our car came with a warranty (WOW!) and it was a really good one too! Says a lot when they guarantee their cars. Anyways, he walked me through the warranty page by page, bullet by bullet. He was very thorough and kind through the whole process. Not to mention we showed up right as they were closing and they were still patient and very kind! We did not feel rushed or any sense of irritation as we browsed and test drove. Overall, it was a great experience and we will recommend to others! Great job, team!

I stopped at Salton by mistake, the vehicle I was originally interested in was at the dealership behind Salton. Joe, met me outside and after finding out what I was looking for directed me to the correct car lot instead of trying to make a sale to me. I went to the other dealer but did not buy the car I was originally interested in. Upon returning to Salton, Joe met me again and helped me find a newer car at a lower price. The financing went smooth, the quickest Ive ever exerpienced. Joe, Jeff the owner, and all of the staff were extremely helpful and made sure all my needs were taken care of. Would certainly recommend visiting Salton Motor Cars, and will definitely purchase from them in the future.

Went and bought a 2009 Ford Mustang on 4/09/2021. Joe was the one who completed the sell. We were given a 3 month 5000 mile warranty. While processing the paperwork Joe told use that he has had 3 different mechanics look over the car to make sure nothing is wrong with the car. We drove the car from their lot all the way home to Fayetteville Georgia. Upon parking the car it started leaking fluids. We call the warranty company to open a claim and took it to their mechanic. After the mechanics looked at it we were told the thermostat housing is cracked. And of course thats not covered under warranty. So Thanks Salton Motors for getting down us for S9575.07 for the car and then $ 573.37 to fix it!!!!!! Be careful doing business with them!!!!
We brought our son by to car shop, but we have not purchased a vehicle yet. However, I must say that I got really good vibes from Joe. He was very friendly and professional, and I could tell he was different than your typical car salesman. Our son is still looking for a car, and even if he doesnt buy one from here, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! Thank you Joe for a one of a kind experience!

Im not ignorant when it comes to auto maintenance and purchasing vehicles. After a long day of being lied to, poor costumer service, and long trips to my mechanic for vehicle inspections, I finally stumbled upon a Lexus at Salton Motor Cars. They kindly offered I bring the car to my mechanic, and the car was beyond mechanically sound--no leaks, clean, and no hidden issues. There were a few concerns I had about the vehicle that were not mechanically related, and when brought to their attention, they offered me a great price on the vehicle. Not only did I get a great price, but they threw in their warranty in case anything happens, which they pay extra for! The service, the price, and the peace of mind with the warranty make buying a car here a no brainier. I see this place has a ton of other great reviews. Believe them!
This was a very different experience than your typical certified dealership. Mr. Salton and his staff were very welcoming and upfront with you. They answered all our questions, and ensured the car we ended up purchasing was clean and ready to go. While I was initially skeptical about this place, it ended up being a great experience in the end. Highly recommended.
I brought my latest car from Salton motor in Georgia. It was the best encounter with a used dealership ever. The entire staff was extremely friendly , courteous, willing to go out there way to make me comfortable. I am extremely satisfied with them and with my new Benz. This is the best car dealership I have ever used!! Loyal customer for 5+ years. Customer service is awesome. The business is clean. The cars are reasonably priced and the experienced owner makes the paperwork process fast and simple. I always receive an envelope to be organized and everything is explained in detail up front, there is no blind-signing!!! You get what is described and driven and every car I have bought was a great buy. Great miles, great price and well maintained. LOVE LOVE LOVE this dealership! Joe and Jeff are the most honest and helpful men and dealers in the business! I had some trouble with another dealer and they guided me and helped me through it! We went to look at a vehicle and took it to a mechanic to look at. We were told it would cost $3,000 to the car where it needs to be. Oil leak, AC didnt work I could go on & on.
Recently purchased a car from Jeff and his team at Salton and I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their vehicles and overall customer service. I looked around at other cars at other car lots and I didn’t find any other cars that were in as good of shape as the cars at Salton. They don’t put beat up, rusted out cars on their lot. They had all the service records for work they did on the car and happily fixed an issue with the window switch. Next time I am in the market for a used car, I’m not wasting my time driving around anywhere else, I’m heading straight to Salton!

After purchasing a car last Easter it was totaled 3 weeks later. I was able to find an exact replica. Really enjoyed this experience. Joe was great. They dont attack you when you arrive. We were able to test drive the vehicle with no supervision. My husband purchased a fully loaded Expedition and was eststatic to drive it home!!!! Would definitely recommend this dealership.
I dont usually take time to do online reviews, but feel like I should. I had nothing but a positive experience with Jeff. While I didnt end up purchasing a vehicle today, I appreciated his attitude and the time he took to show cars to my husband and I. Jeff wasextremely knowledgeable and helpful. I hope to go back soon to purchase a car.I read a lot of reviews prior to making a visit to Jeffs shop, majority of the reviews are extremely positive so when I read the negative comments here I ignored, and I am glad I did. When the negative reviews are personal attacks, that speaks more so on the reviewer than the business. If you are reading this I encourage you to give Salton Motor Cars a chance! Dont believe the hate.
Drove 3 hours to see a 4Runner that Jeff had. He was very courteous and offered to hold the vehicle while I was driving there so that it would not get “sold from under me.” Did not end up buying the car since it had bad rust problems in obscure areas (the interior of the sunroof) which were not visible in pictures, but I think Jeff just seemed to miss it- it’s not an area one would typically check for rust and he was very apologetic about it. Very low pressure car dealer, he let me look at the vehicle as much as I wanted and even stayed after closing time. Would shop here again
UPDATE: DO NOT TRUST THE SURESALE INSPECTION PROVIDED WITH EACH CAR. GET YOUR OWN MECHANIC TO CHECK IT OUT. Suresale inspection missed about $900 of repairs that should have been easily identified in a basic inspection. They did nothing to help once I told them their inspection missed these components. The warranty (also provided) conveniently covered everything except for the components I needed replaced. The Suresale label is virtually meaningless, dont trust anything about it. I dont think the owner is aware of how Suresale operates, so I dont blame them. Should be fine as long as you get your own mechanic.I had my car totaled while visiting my sister (Im from Florida) and the insurance company only gave me five days to use a rental car. I was in a huge pinch, and I went from dealership to dealership in Atlanta and consistently felt pressured to buy immediately or otherwise just couldnt seem to find a car that fit my needs at a decent price. Jeff and Greg were great, fun to talk to, and didnt pressure me at all to make a decision. Easily the best used car buying experience Ive had. I love the Subaru Forester I bought and so far have no issues with it. I would highly recommend this location!

The owner Mr. Jeff Salton is a man of integrity and simply a good person. I encourage anyone looking for a good used car to give Jeff a call because he really does sell to sell again.
Mr. Salton, Joe the salesman, and even their secretary were an absolute pleasure to work with. Flew in from PA to grab a car and drive it home. Everything was as pictured and described or better than expected. No complaints at all. If I lived closer I would send everyone I know there.
We had a really great experience here. My husband was looking for a used Mazda Miata for a long time, we test drove a few but none were really had the quality we were looking for. At Salton not only did we find the car we wanted, but the service was awesome and Joe was really great! Youll feel comfortable, no high pressure.

First of all if I could give negative stars I would. Overall it was a decent experience. I cant even say good because 6 months after purchasing a car I find out Im looking at over $1000 in repairs. The main problem is that the owner lied straight to my face about work that was done to the car. I was told the car was lowered professionally, upon having it inspected, I find out that the quality of work that was done with the lowering of the car was equivalent to an amateur mechanic working out of his home garage. Had I been told the truth from the beginning this would not have been an issue. But now Im stuck with $1000 worth of work to be done and no explanation as to why I was lied to. Your typical salesman. Coming from a sales job myself, I give my customers 100% of the truth and details up front and in writing. This place has definitely lost my business for life.

The Owner Let me Test Drive the vehicle for a whole 24 hours, and take it to my mechanic. All checked out good, so we went through with the purchase for my wife. Also got a USAA Member discount on top of the already great deal. They were very friendly there and down to earth. Would definitely buy again from them.

I drove two hours because this lot offered the vehicle I was looking for at the price I was looking for. What I found was not only the vehicle at the right price, but the easiest buying process I’ve ever experienced. The kindness and helpfulness of all that work there was fabulous. They even drove the vehicle to me (two hours away) at the end of the week!
I can honestly say from a professional stand point, I haven’t bought a car from hear yet, but I plan to in the next couple of weeks. So far, this place is impressive and I will update my review once I have purchased the car I want from them. I’ve checked their BBB they have an A+.I called them about a car they have that I’m looking for. Jeff called me back as quickly as he could. Even highly recommended a PPI (pre-purchase inspection)Sure there’s always going to be a negative review and I have read theirs.... It’s a used car, want a new car, go get one. car fax are great but not every service is reported by the previous owners. They can not be faulted for this. If it doesn’t come up and they aren’t told, they can’t honestly tell you. Small mechanics don’t always report servicing. Want it reported you’re going to have to take it to a reputable mechanic. Solo motor sports, the dealerships, Eurofed, etc.... also, do your research on the car in which your purchasing. Know what issues could be had at any given time. Like the car I’m looking at. Timing belt is due at 100k.... the car I want is only at 99k so I know buying this I’ll be looking at a timing belt in the near future. A lot of people buy cars not know that cars are different and need a certain type of care and upkeep. Don’t go faulting a business who has more good reviews than bad just because 1 out of 20 times something doesn’t go perfect. Go into the dealership with knowledge, and an open mind. You won’t be as disappointed. I’m looking forward to my purchase with this dealership....... 16 days!!!
This used car dealer works hard for buyers. The Customer Service is good. They have a team that is focused on Reviewing each vehicle for driveability and safety with cleanliness. The car I was interested in driving was clean and Marshall was very thorough Im answering my questions or concerns.
Overall: Worst car experience I have ever had. Dont go to this small car dealership unless you want to be sold a pile of junk and get lied to. If i could give this company zero stars I would. Complete waste of time and money. Completely unfair, and definitely taught me a lesson: Never go to small car dealer ships.At the beginning I was really excited to purchase my 4runner, it had a clean carfax, came with drivertrain warranty for 3 months, and the seller was super nice and eager to meet. The seller told me it was one of the best looking 4Runners he had ever seen, had low mileage, and ran great without any problems (Gotta love these salesman right). Within a week the VSC Trac, engine light, and Vsc lights came on. Replaced the gasket (so it wasnt that common error with 4runners). Took it back since I still had my warranty, and I was rudely attended only to get the codes reset. They rudely took my keys, gunned it into the road, and said there wasnt any problems because if there was, the lights would have come on (which is not true for bad catalytic converters since they take a while to come on again, which they did). They later tried to charge me for bringing it in, and I laughed took it to a real dealer only to hear that the front and rear breaks were gone, and the catalytic converter had gone bad (several thousand dollars). Tried to contact this cheap shop, and found out they had fired the seller who gave me the 4Runner (How convenient). Spoke to the owner and he assured me that his best mechanics had done their due diligence and had nothing to worry about. I travel a lot for work so I didnt drive it for maybe 1 month and my driver train warranty expired. A week later my windshield cracked and after further investigation it turns out someone before me (maybe the dealer but hey I am not pointing fingers) replaced the windshield and incorrectly installed it into the unsafe rusted frame. Rust so bad that safelite wont cover it. He also incorrectly glued the rubber seal around the windshield, which causes more rust and several hundred dollars to fix. The carfax is clean, but I have reason to believe the car was in an accident, went unreported and they hired some amateurs to make it look drivable. Waste of time and money.

This fella let me drive 2 hours to look at a car. He said he would cover my gas if I wasnt impressed with the car. Guess thats how he gets you in. I was unimpressed with the vehicle. His exact words were, I dont like to work to sell cars, they sell themselves . Guess thats why he has many cars that have been on the lot for 200+ days. He clearly did not want to earn my business. I left disappointed & with less money since I wasted the gas to go look. Bottom line, they were very unprofessional. As a business owner, I would never want my client feeling the way I did after meeting with him. Cliche used car salesman.

2022-06-15I am not one to leave reviews but this one needs to be said. Salton Motors is everything you don’t expect from a car lot. They were upfront, honest, no hidden fees, timely in responses and so much more. I live about 4.5 hours away yet my daughter found a car online she was in love with. This was not the first one so I was slightly skeptical of buying any used car online simply because most came “as is.” In other words buying online would be going into it blind. But not with Salton. They send it with a 90 day warranty to put your mind at ease. Not only that but were completely upfront in their inspection of the vehicle and what they replaced. This type of service and honesty is hard to come by in the business. I literally was able to purchase this car strictly from text in a couple of hours and had it delivered the very next day. Still have never “spoken” to Brent. Saying I am impressed is an understatement. Thank you from myself and one happy teen girl!

2022-02-12An Honest Dealership for once! My buying experience was smooth as butter. When I called to inquire about the vehicle I wanted, there was no pressure and I was treated badly just for shopping around. The service was so great, they actually picked me up at home so I didnt have to drive up there, purchase the vehicle and come back for it. If you dont get Brent, ask for him because he is a great person that has your back and doesnt mind sharing knowledge! Overall 10 stars outta 5 for Salton Motors

2022-01-20Honest, genuine used car business! Great experience with Brent and Jeff recently buying my 4Runner. I know they could have sold the car to someone else who would have asked fewer questions and taken less time than me, but they were happy to let me get a 3rd party inspection and then worked with me to reach an agreement with their mechanic to make sure a couple of issues were properly fixed. (And they paid to fix a broken door latch, glove box, and fabric tear!) Im always skeptical of salespeople when I walk onto a used car lot, but it quickly became obvious that these guys run an honest business and want to make sure their customers have a good experience - so they come back in the future. 2022-03-02What a great car purchase experience! Brent and his staff went above and beyond to ensure that the vehicle that I chose was just the way that I wanted. My car was perfect for me. One thing that I was amazed about was the time that it took for me to get financing. Most car dealerships take almost 5 to 6 hours! With this dealership, it was so done so timely. 2022-01-30We purchased our 2011 Lexus RX 350 from Salton Motors, and could not be happier with both the vehicle and the service that we received. The staff provided excellent customer service, were honest, and quite helpful. Salton Motor Cars offers quality vehicles and stands behind its products. 2022-02-09If only all car dealerships could have Integrity like the guys at Salton Motor Cars….. honestly, I’ve found a lot of good quality cars at other dealerships as well, But what separated Salton apart from the others is their Code of Ethics. I noticed them posted on the wall inside. And Everyone who works there seemed to embody them. The GMs name is Brent and he found better Financing terms for me than any of the other dealers in Atlanta., And I’m pretty sure that part wasn’t easy….LOL. There was never any pressure to buy. The paperwork was fast and effortless, Brent was incredibly transparent and honest. This car buying experience sets the bar high for other deals to model themselves after. But I think that for Brent and his team at Salton motor cars, it’s just other day at the office…

2022-06-205 Stars to the people who work here! 1 Star on for the Vehicle I purchased! I bought a 2008 Acura MDX 6 months ago and have put no more than 2,000 miles on it due to the battery going dead every 3 days! I have purchased 4 batteries, even the most expensive battery of $150 and still won’t stay charged! I have had it checked out and being that it is not the starter, alternator or battery… I hear it may be something electrical! Along with that, every day I have to buy power steering fluid! I am very disappointed being that I went here for a dependable vehicle being a new Mom! I know older models will have trouble and are as is but, this is the most disappointing vehicle I have ever purchased from any buy here pay here. No time to enjoy the vehicle or feel safe on the road with my little one in such a short amount of time after being told this was a great vehicle!Please be careful with the Vehicle you choose here!

2022-03-25Brent went the extra mile on this sale. Love the truck and he was honest about the minimal issues it had (paint chips, etc....). Very sharp truck and priced correctly. I drove 2+ hours to purchase the truck and was not disappointed.
