I must say the food was good. The service was not. I got the Shrimp Savannah. The shrimp had the shell, so you would think they would bring you a side plate to put the shells on. Husband got the ribs, again a high end restaurant would bring you a plate for the ribs. But again no.We both got a glass of wine. I had to ask three times for a glass of water, both our glasses were nearly empty. I received a glass of water but my husband did not. I believe a good waitress would either ask or just bring one, but no.
Wow, what a disappointment. This place is packed so I am sure they wont miss one customer. We waited to get in which is fine but once we got in our food took forever and of course when it came out one dish was piping hot the other cold. When the server who brings your food out and says if it is cold please let us know. There is a saying that goes like this, if you have to ask the question, you probably know the answer. Speaking of cold everyone in the one side of the restaurant had coats on it was so cold. They took my pasta dish back and microwaved it. Are you kidding me.... grilled chicken in a red sauce and you microwave it. Tougher than you can imagine. For heaven it is pasta and grilled chicken just remake it. They did agree to take it off the bill or make something else, now think about that, would you like us to make something else, but we are not going to take the time to make what you ordered. 2 hours into a meal and no I dont want to wait another hour for something that should have been correct the first time.
We’ve eaten here several times. It used to be our favorite restaurant. The last 4 times we’ve eaten here, there has been a problem with the food. We are local. Service was awesome! But the food is overrated for the price. I think their burgers are pretty good. But they need to brush up on their cooking skills. Last night we ate here thinking maybe things had changed. I ordered the Shrimp Savannah. The pasta was under cooked, the shrimp were over cooked! And had a terrible odor! I couldn’t eat it! Hope you have better luck!
My husband meet a group of friends here on a Saturday night and it was a great atmosphere and our waitress was great but the restaurant was under staffed. Unfortunately for her she had to much on her. The food was nothing special but priced like it was. The drinks were absolutely great but my husband ordered a Blue Motorcycle and the bartender didn’t have time to look it up that was disappointing. I would go back again and give it another try.
Great variety of menu items to choose from. Shrimp pasta and steak flatbread pizza were so delicious! Carrot cake was a bit on the dry side. Have had better. Good coffee. Ashley was a terrific server. Very energetic and always willing to please. As locals, we enjoy this restaurant very much. Can get very crowded at times! Make reservations.
This was the 1st time my hubby and I had been here after hearing good reviews from other people who had been. We were not impressed. While our server was very nice and accommodating, and also made great suggestions, our food was not cooked to our expectations. We both ordered steaks, medium and we received them almost well done. They were tough and flavorless. We just were not happy. I dont think well return.
The restaurant was extremely clean. Staff was polite and very professional. Dinner was absolutely delicious and well made. Dessert was even better. I had the beer battered fish and chips for dinner and for dessert cheesecake and chocolate lava cakes with ice cream for my children. Thank you for your hospitality and I will definitely love to come and dine here again.
The Savanah Shrimp was delicious. The bartender John was a great guy and was really attentive and friendly. I stopped in here passing thru. If youre looking for something thats close to the interstate but absolutely not fast food you should stop here. They do serve you quickly but the food is amazing and the atmosphere perfect. Not what you typically find just off the interstate. Ill definitely stop here again on my travels.
Sarah was one of the best servers I have ever seen. She was engaging, friendly, informed and so quick with her turn around. Knew every detail about the menu - and knew all the gluten free options. Will definitely make sure we come back here again and sit in her section.
Big menu of comfort food done right with some lighter options too. Smoky wood fire smell had me hungry for pork barbecue but ribs were the closest thing. They did not disappoint. Was pretty noisy but we were there on a busy night. Dont let that stop you from checking this place out.
Stopped here on our way home from Florida to Virginia. Ordered steak and ribs. Steak did not have a good flavor, My Cole slaw had hair in it, never offered hot rolls…. Service was extremely slow. When I got my bill, there was no adjustment for the hair. I had to complain to the manager and she acted like “ what’s the problem?” She told $6 off. Poor poor service. I do not recommend stopping here to eat!!!
Drove all day from NJ and we were exhausted. Ordered take out including 2 well done steaks. They couldn’t even pass for medium. One meal had the wrong sides and 1 we don’t eat AND then I realize they gave me no dressing on the salad. We are maybe 20 dollars worth of food but paid over a hundred dollars. Don’t get take out from this place!!
Sadly, this restaurant was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From taking over 5 minutes for our server to greet us then immediately pressuring us to order drinks, it was absurdly terrible. The ribeye and lamb shank were inedible, the drinks were horribly weak especially for the up charge for an old fashioned, and again our server was mediocre at best. Don’t waste your time nor money here. Not worth it with so many other options close by.
Atmosphere was very nice, food was so so. I ordered a ribeye Medium Rare and it came out Medium Well. Waitress saw me cut it in half and without me saying anything, she offered to replace it. We agreed to order the replacement steak Rare since the kitchen favored over cooking steaks. The waitress took my entire meal back, not just the steak, so i sat without any food while my family finished their dinner. I waited for almost 20 minutes for the replacement meal and by the time it arrived, our entire table was finished with dinner so it ended up in a box. By this point I was pretty annoyed so I ended up tossing it in the trash and ate dinner from the hotel lobby. This place is to pricey to have amature cooks and mediocre wait staff. We definitely wont be wasting our time or money here again.
Dont order a steak. Eating solo, I sat at the bar on a Friday night. The Old Fashioned was legendary. I ordered a 14 ounce ribeye medium well with mashed potatioes and green beens. The potatoes and green beans were outstanding. The steak was a small, thin, pointed piece of meat with no marbling. The end I started on was as ordered. As I continued eating the steak was well done and eventually too difficult to cut with the knife provided. I left nearly half on the plate. It was impossible to get a servers attention as they were busy serving drinks and fawning over the guy standing at the end of the bar who I presumed was an owner or manager. It took 4-5 minutes waving my credit card to get a bill and still no chance to speak about my steak. Service was good, even helping with my gluten allergy so I left a reasonable tip. Go for a drink but dont order food.
The service. The service was awful! Our server never told us her name but she was an older Caucasian lady with black hair and a cast on her hand. The service was slow, and I get that with staffing issues, but to be a server and to act annoyed with your guests…unacceptable. I can’t help but feel it was racially motivated as we were the only table with a person of color, and we were just two people …so to hear that sameServer be hospitable and chatty to other guests was heartbreaking. The ONLY thing I asked her for was steak sauce and I got an eye roll so dramatic, you would have thought I asked for a kidney! I’ve never felt like that before at a restaurant. I would have voiced my experience to the manager but none were present. The food was ok. Overpriced Applebees food, though I may have enjoyed it more if I weren’t made to feel so uncomfortable. The Décor is dated and the carpet makes the entire building smell musty. It was my first visit, and it will certainly be my last.
First time our newly minted Marine ate out since Boot Camp. We drove from Beaufort/Parris Island to Savannah to drop off another Marine who didn’t have a family member and rather than driving back to our hotel in Beaufort, we decided to eat here. The wait was an hour long, which was fine until we sat at our bare table with a hungry Marine and his 2 year old brother. No drink order, no bread, no crayons, for 10 minutes. We finally placed our order, got our food and my stepdaughter’s fish was undercooked. The waitress offered to take it off, which was nice but unexpected because the rest of our experience was not good service. While organizing the styrofoam to-go shells, we witnessed our waitress drop one onto the floor and put it back into the stack for future use. After waiting another 10 minutes with empty plates, we were never offered dessert or coffee (which was needed for our drive back to Beaufort). We’ll be driving back to Savannah again in the morning, for our 7:30am flight. My Reuben was good, the asparagus was salty.
I Love this place! I ate here a few times out of my 2wk stay. It was next to my hotel. The staff was nice & pleasant. The food was Great here. These are some pics of my take-out order.I started off with the Baked Spinach & Artichoke Dip w/ SalsaThe Driver~ Chicken Marsala (Lunch Order)Side order of the Sautéed Spinach & Yellow Rice.I will definitely visit here again the next time Im in Savannah, Ga. But in the meantime, can you guys open one in Miami?!?! Sam Snead will give a few Golf Clubs Restaurants down here a run for the Money💰$💰
Crab cakes was great. Order was wrong i ordered small salad and yellow rice. Had cold Hard french fries no salad. Grandsons chicken fingers were cold and his fries were the same as mine. Wife order filet med rare, came out medium. Baked potato? But my draft beer was ok. Lol
This was our second trip to Sam Sneads - The waitstaff (Amber) was delightful. The steak (ribeye) was mostly inedible. 70% of the steak was left on the plate to be discarded by the busboy. The Southern Comfort Manhattans from the bar were perfect (literally). If there is a Next Time I will go with the Filet Mignon - it is hard to screw up a Filet. With restaurants there is a big trust factor - especially for higher priced restaurants - this is not what I call a high end restaurant but it was still $135 for two not including tip. It is unfortunate that we cannot go to Sam Sneads Tavern and not know that what is going to come out of the kitchen will always be excellent.
My mother and I ate here tonight for the first time ever. It was everything and more. We have only been in town two days, and Sam Snead’s takes the lead. Lol. Sarah was our server and she was awesome, such a vibe. Loved her! Great energy. I WILL be coming back here! We got the Sammy Shrimp to start and it was delicious. Sarah actually recommended it. For entree we each got a flatbread. That sealed the deal for me! Perfection is what is was. The wine list was excellent! So much to choose from, and my Chardonnay paired nicely with my meal. For dessert we spilt the Lemon Pie. 10/10!!!!!!!! Final Thoughts: If you have not been to Sam Snead’s go check it out. You will not regret it and if you do then your just weird. Lol.
The wait staff were supper professional and the food was very, very good!!! I highly recommend stopping here if youre in the mood for something out of the ordinary or regular American cuisine. The menu has a good variety!...and they also sell a line of body polish! Definitely a must buy!
This was my second visit to Sam Sneads...basically giving them a second chance over the first, not great,, time I dined there. This time the service was much better....but the food is still just meh....like an Applebees but youre paying more for the atmosphere. There wont be a third bisit.
This place was very cosy and stylish, host was friendly and server was polite. She was a little busy but had my food out in a reasonable time.french onion soup was really great!! cheese stretched and was crisp. great flavour.the pasta was pretty alright, shrimps were small but they gave plenty of shrimps, about 20 shrimps.
Drove over a hour to go there and get a great stake.got there at 8.pm the doors were locked. The sign said closes at 9.30 pm and there were people in there eating and the person said they closed early because there was nobody there how pathetic what a waste of time and gas.
This is a very popular restaurant with a huge wine selection and 24 draft beers on tap. Very friendly service and our waiter Ed was on point. Very cozy and relaxing. They have a bar that you can visit while you wait for your table. The steaks had a wonderful flavor and cant wait to come back.
Wonderful people working hard to make a wonderful dining experience for all their guest. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and helpful, delivering very good service to us.The food was very good and the prices are fair. (Not cheap, not over priced. A very good value for a much needed dining experience.)I definitely recommend Sam Sneads restaurant.
Good was good but service and speed were a big yikes. Our server was nice but didnt do a whole lot. We waited quite some time for our food and no updates were given. Thankfully a manager noticed and grabbed the childs pasta for our nephew so he didnt have to wait as long. Our waitress never even noticed and acted like it was our fault when they came out with another when the actual food came. Dont think well be back.
From the moment you walk through the door and smell the delicious aromas, to looking at the menu choices, to actually eating, we loved it all! We were a party of four and each of us ordered something different (French Onion Soup, Spicy Shrimp Flatbread, Steak and Ribs, Caesar Salad with Shrimp and the Birdie Burger) and we ALL loved our food! (Only negative comment was that the ribs needed more sauce.) We’ll definitely be back.
There was 3 of us it was horrible. They forgot about us. For being as expensive as it was you would think they would pay more attention. Now the waitress was very easy on the eyes. I am not sure if I would recommend this place. I definitely would not go there again if I was in the area that is for sure !!!!!!
We had a great dinner here. The food took a little longer than usual to come out, but that’s everywhere with the lack of workers right now. Our waiter Edwin was wonderful and very attentive. He kept checking on us and apologizing for the wait. When the food came out everything was cooked to perfection. It’s a good place to eat if you are staying at one of the many hotels near by!
Went here yesterday for the first time. My wife and I decided to sit down at the bar. The bartender Abby was phenomenal. She had a great personality, sense of humor and was very attentive. Here is what we ordered:Appetizer*Flatbread - The options are steak, chicken, vegetables, or shrimp. Abby informed us we can ask for half and half. So we decided to get half chicken and half steak. The steak Flatbread was good, but the chicken Flatbread was better. The balsamic on the chicken half was very delicious.Entrée* Filet Mignon -my wife had this medium well with green beans and mashed potatoes. The only issue we had was that the steak was too charred. Abby noticed and requested a new one for us. Once she brought the new Filet Mignon, it was very good, not charred nor dry.* Lamb Shank - I had this with asparagus and mash potatoes. The lamb was amazing, very tender and the potatoes were delicious. The only complaint I had was the asparagus. They were very charred and didnt taste right.Overall, it is a great place to drink, eat and have a good time. Definitely will return. Just keep in mind that for the price you are paying for, if it aint right you need to be vocal about it.
We went here for dinner on new years day.We waited sometime for the waiter to even come by. First thing he said (SAM) , they were short staffed. Not to be cold, but thats not my problem. When the food arrived it was not up to par. We have eaten many times in the past at the location in Naples, as we live in sw fla. This experience has changed my feelings towards this establishment completely. With so many options for dining, its doubtful we will dine here or any of their locations, again.By the way, no one from management was visable or making rounds, when they certainly should have been .
For $30 I received the wheat chicken flatbread, a well drink and sam burger. The atmosphere was dark but nice. The staff were very knowledgable about the menu and friendly. The flatbread was well presented and tasted very good. The burger was a burger and nothing special. Wishing now that I would have gotten the Red Snapper that was the special. ;) For being close to the Hotel it was nice meal.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Sam Sneads this week for lunch. While our initial experience was a random choice; our planned return for next week speaks to the delicious food, professional staff & competitive pricing. You cannot beat the lunch specials. I would recommend Sam Sneads for any occasion. You will not be disappointed.
Poor customer service; told our hostess that we would like to be seated outside, so she gave us a 45 minute wait time even though no one was sitting outside at the time. 10 minutes later, we were told we could be seated, and she begins to sit us inside, so we had to remind her again that we would like to sit outside and she seemed bothered by that. Our waitress, though friendly, was not very attentive, as I had to tell her twice what I wanted to drink after she brought me out the wrong drink and then had to remind her twice as well that we wanted straws. Also could tell she treated us differently compared to another customer sitting right behind us, possibly because we are a younger couple in our mid 20s, and most of the crowd seemed to be older. Also had an incident where the hostess accidentally ran into the waitress and did not really check on her or apologize. Food; the chicken satay was amazing as an appetizer, as was everything else, except for the ribs I ordered. The BBQ sauce on it was kind of bland and had no flavor. But my fiancée said she loved the burger she ordered. Atmosphere; the outdoor sitting was absolutely lovely, especially since we got to watch the sunset and the temperature was not too bad. Overall, 3 out of 5. Customer service definitely needs work. Also, pay your workers more than $2.13 an hour, maybe you will hire more, and maybe the customer service would get better.
The one waitress in the entire restaurant who does 2 shifts was amazing funny and entertaining! My husband got the fish sandwich which was delicious and I got chicken soup and a Rubin sandwich...yum yum! I also ordered the cucumber cooler, it was so good and we were having so much fun I ordered another. The next time we go back up north from St. Augustine....which wont be till 11/24, Sams will be our first stop for lunch!!
My experience was not on par with the rest of the reviews. I found it to be mediocre at best though I only went twice. I had the lamb shank which was extremely tender but somehow flavorless. I expected the rich flavors of seared meat braised for hours in red wine and herbs but this lacked any of those flavors. The mashed potatoes were ok but a bit dense. I ordered a side of spinach and it was ok. I didnt rate service bc of staff shortages and they were very busy however, on both visits they forgot to bring my water with lemon I requested a couple of times. The atmosphere is nice and cozy though. I dont feel my experience was worth the price I paid for the meal.
Guess we were unlucky. The reviews are great - locals highly recommended this place and we didnt find that it lived up to the reviews. The service was very slow and she gave me the impression that we were a bother. When the drinks were served and we were not ready to order their was a roll of the eyes and she didnt return for quite a while. The food was mediocre at best. My meat was not cooked as I requested, my wife could not eat her meal - we both left the major portion of what was served. Server asked if we wanted boxes - we told her no and the reasons why. We did not complain and the server did not offer anything not even Im sorry you are unhappy. Guess we were there on a bad night. Things happen but it left us with a sour feeling about Sam Sneads
Really disappointed. Only the service was worth the trip. Appetizers were good... presentation nice, beyond that the wow factor wasnt there. The entrees... my son and I ordered two T-bone steaks MR. Temps were on point, but the quality and flavor! Terrible, my son asked me if my steak tasted off, yes... yes they both did, they tasted a mix of carbon and tuna ( it was apparent the grill was not being cleaned. The T-bone steaks themselves were borderline Standard grade at best. Tough, no juice, just not right for the price tag... Take this review for what it is, I truly want to dine here, I love the atmosphere and the service, but they need to step up their kitchen game.
We had a wonderful dinner at Sam Snead’s in Savannah tonight. Our waitress, Ashley, was excellent, very attentive, and prompt. Our steak was cooked perfectly, just like we ordered (medium); enjoyed our veggies too as they were cooked (not al a dente) like many restaurants serve them.Nice atmosphere and good drinks too!
My husband and I were driving back home from Florida to Pennsylvania. Made a stop over night and our hotel clerk recommended this place. Its a little more than I preferred to have spent, but after eating nothing but quick foods and such during vacation, it was a wonderful change to sit down and enjoy a good meal. We both had the pasta with grilled chicken. I had the garlic sauce with angel hair, he had Alfredo sauce with penne. Surprisingly the best part was the chicken! Cooked perfectly, not over done at all and still had that cooked over a fire taste. Id definitely come back again if we ever pass through.
This place is awesome! First time Here and i ended up coming back the next day! The bartenders are super courteous. I ordered tge spicy shrimp flat bread and it was soooooo delicious! More than enough for 1 person and reasonably priced. I definietly recommend coming to this restaurant!
Every time we travel through the area this is our go to dinner spot. Rib eye tonight was excellent as always. Our waitress was Darlene and she was superb. We have had her before and she is always very attentive. She was very busy but handled it well and was very pleasant.I wish there was a location in our area in Sarasota FL.
So, I was between 3 and 4 stars on this one. Had this twice in the last 3 days. First time was 3 Starr’s and this time was just over 4. First I had the top sirloin with fries, green beans, and carrot cake. Green beans were pretty good, steak had amazing flavor (cooked over wood fire grill) but was overdone. I asked for medium (my mistake- good steaks should never be above medium rare) but it was more well done. They gave me 5 bucks off but probably the first time I didn’t finish my steak. Today I had the rib-eye and it was amazing! Ordered medium-rare and done to perfection. Great taste and marbeling. Had the asparagus and potatoes today. Both were okay but they upcharged me for the asparagus (be ware) even though they are on the same “up-charge” level on the menu. Steak was bigger today so no room for dessert. Good meals overall and good service. Ribeye is well worth the extra cost over the top sirloin. Oh, and their Caesar salad is awesome. Had it both times and it was great! They make their own Caesar dressing and it’s the best I have had- recommend getting the side Caesar if you are into Caesar salads at all.
Really good food and great service. Lighting inside sucked and you could barely see. The meat had a bit too much seasoning which covered the actual taste of the meat. I had pork lolipops and spicy shrimp for appetizer and both were great. My lamb shanks were a bit overdone and too much seasoning but still good and tender.
Was really excited to try this place out. My girlfriend and I checked the menu out prior to coming and everything sounded great. We get here and the atmosphere had a nice cozy look. When we were seated we take some time to order and I could not decide because everything sounded good. After placing our orders we had to wait AN HOUR to finally get our food. The waitress, although sweet, did not even communicate the delay or anything throughout our wait! I had to flag her down telling her we have been waiting for a while and she told us she just checked and that it would be out shortly. Our food comes out and my girlfriends order IS WRONG. So, we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for her food! Our waitress told her wed be getting a discount and I thought that was nice because I really wanted to complain and speak to a manager. We get our check and the discount was 7 PERCENT. Just enough to cover taxes.. big discount.I would not recommend this place after this experience. The food was not even good. The complimentary bread was bland and very dry. The service was not that great either.
Great place, great food. We choose outside dining, it was nice and quiet. Service was good, food was cooked perfect. Had the filet butterflied medium well and it is the first time Ive had a steak cooked properly in a very long time. Tea was not so great, maybe just an off night, tea has been good in the past. They are a little pricey but it is definitely worth it to get excellent food. Also I like the fact that they have a gluten-free menu and they have a fair amount of choices.
The service is slow and they got our food wrong 2 times. First time I went there got a medium steak and it was burned. The mashed potatoes were bland and I didnt even eat them. Tried it a second time thought maybe the first time was a fluke but my wives steak was burned and the guy at the table behind me had a burnt steak also. Steak was chard with black marks however not grill marks. Then they brought me another persons credit card with my bill. The other table had my card. Took them a few minutes to find it. Very disappointed because I expected more.
Wonderful service, but okay food. Our server was very attentive and immediately offered to get my boyfriend a new steak when she saw it came out well done instead of medium. The second steak came out more medium well than medium. The mushrooms looked like they came straight out the can so luckily he had asked for them on the side before we knew this. My food came out fine and tasted good. If our waitress hadnt been so great then we wouldve had an awful experience.
My wife and I had identical meals tonight. The 7 oz barrel cut filet mignon with a topping of onions and mushrooms. Outstanding as always. Red bliss mashed potatoes and garlic been beans. We have never had, anywhere, better filets. The garden salads were overflowing with dressing, just the way I like it. I accompanied mine with a merlot that was out of this world. We try to get there at least twice a week.
This establishment is well worth the visit on both pre and post flight. The decor is rich, the beverages plentiful and the food is everything one is looking for. Located approximately one mile from the airport and it is just a hop, skip and a jump. The must try is the flat bread, soooooo good!
Food was pretty good, too much liquid in the chicken burrito bowl. And it felt way too crowded, no option for social distancing at all. This may not matter to some people anymore but I actually still care about this and have to because of family that I live with. I know I always have the option of just staying home but that becomes unrealistic after a year. And it is much easier to be able to eat out if there is some socially distant option
Really some of the best service I’ve ever had with our waiter John. French onion soup came out cold soup and burned cheese. Replaced and comp for it but still cold and not good. No seasoning on the steak filet and the tuna was not fresh. The mashed potatoes where cold and the asparagus was not cooked. Great service though. Not a spot I’d go back to.
Went here for lunch. Service was quick, food was really good. I got the Flatbread for lunch. My colleagues also stated their food was all good, especially the fish. Lunch was a little pricey, but not to bad. They also maintained current social distance standard for our table.
I chilled in the parking lot in my car, had to kill about 10 minutes before I picked up my girlfriend from the airport. I read a chapter of Ian Flemings Dr. No. Almost went in for a beer but I was too pressed on time. Overall solid parking lot experience, good sun placement relative to my position in the vehicle. Would definitely consider killing about 10 minutes in their parking lot again.
We called ahead and were put on the list. When we walked in they first sat someone after we walked in because the daughter worked there. Then they tried to sit someone that came in way after us and those folks said that we were first and we should be sat but the lady said no they called ahead. Lol. So if you don’t call ahead and show up you will be seated right away but if you call ahead you are penalized. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.
Made my top 10 WORST restaurant experiences ever! And I didnt even step foot on the premises! Every other weekend we would order food and the service was okay but the food was pretty good so we kept coming back. Recently, the staff has been horrendous. I called to place a to go order to be put into the kitchen an hour later and was told to Call back so they wouldnt forget my order. I called back an hour later (thinking I could do them this favor) to be met with an answer of, The kitchen is too busy to take to-go orders so we will not be taking them the rest of the night. I explained my situation being that I previously gave them plenty of time to plan. The woman checked with her manager and they decided to take my order.I realize now, that I should have cut my losses. I ordered a salad with the wonton strips on the side. My fiancee, picked up the food after work and when he arrived home, there were no wonton strips. This is (in my opinion) what seperates this salad from what Id make at home. So I was disappointed and called back. I called back, for the third time, they said we could drive back to get them which was not going to work. Then we held the line for about 7 minutes and spoke with the manager Charlene. She asked us to drive back and we suggested they drive to us being that it was their mistake. She instead offered $0.50 off my salad. That was one of the most disrespectful things that I had ever heard. The point of a salad is that all the different ingredients add to the flavor, when one is missing (a key one at that) it changes the taste. I explained the issues I had leading up to the salad and why this culmination was upsetting and she asked what I would like. I didnt want my money back. I wanted my salad, made correctly, that I could enjoy a day that I wasnt so frustrated from dealing with inept service. She offered me $2 off my salad and at this point it was clear that she did NOT CARE about my terrible experience there. Nor did she care about actually addressing the issue. Most importantly, she did not care about my time. I said I will never order food there again because of this and she hung up on me. Very classy end. Ive worked in this industry and I know that if there was an issue we would bend backwards for that customer to keep them happy. Here, they would prefer to insult them and blatantly show that the customer means nothing to them. There are too many food options to act like this these days so their time (no doubt) will come. Bad service, disrespectful manager... if I were you (and I did the smart thing) Id save a lot of aggravation and pass on this place.Afterthought, we did not even receive an apology. It was made clear that we were the inconvenience.
Great food, friendly staff, and a unique golf atmosphere that makes one feel like they are sitting in a clubhouse tavern, with something to see at every corner. I have been coming to this place for a few years now and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I must admit however that the place can be a bit dark at times, and the tavern feel may not be for everybody, but as a golf fan, I enjoy it and the pure amount of detail featured throughout the restaurant. It is just great to have a quality restaurant like this to dine during a long road trip amidst all the fast food and chain restaurants that line the highway.
Sam Sneads is our go to date night spot. The service, food and drinks are always on point! We had a lovely date night today, hubby had a steak and I got chicken marsala. We also had a few cocktails that were tasty and STRONG! I wish I could remember our servers name but those drinks clouded my memory! Well definitely be back soon!
Fantastic food and very friendly staff. I enjoyed my first experience of Long drive world series while eating very good shrimp and steak. The mashed potatoes and green beans were so tasty also. The bar staff were friendly and made a real effort. I would go back there.
Waited one hour to get seated in which I don’t mind but another hour has passed and I’m still here at my table waiting on my food. Would not recommend this place at all. Came from Texas and read the reviews so we decided to try and had been nothing but disappointment . The manager said they were short staffed yet waiters and waitresses all over. 🤷🏻♂️
We called to place an order for pick up on 11/21/20. While on the phone with the staff I mentioned we were staying next door at the Hyatt Place and wed be walk over to pick up our order. I was astonished when she offered to walk it over to us and meet me in the hotel lobby. WOW! Now thats customer service. They have won me over for life. I failed to get her name😩 the ticket just says Host H. Thank youBy the way the food was delicious we ordered the ribs and for price we did not expect a full rack.
We just left after having a birthday lunch for a friend. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Our server was great (we sat in the bar area) Im sorry I forgot her name shes awesome. Went back again and had another amazing server this time i asked her name os Jasmine. She handled our large group with friendliness and a great attitude .

2022-05-02Stopped in for lunch today. Our server was friendly but service was slow. I got the Louie salad and the sauteed shrimp were room temperature, however the salad was tasty. My husband got the black n blue burger which was excellent and fries were cooked to order. It just took a really long time. If you are in a hurry probably look for another restaurant. We would eat here again if we were looking to hang out and catch up with friends. Nice bar, clean dining room, and outdoor seating on the water.

2022-02-13This was my first visit to this restaurant. I ate off the Valentines Day Special Menu. The table set up was very romantic with fresh cut flowers and a candle. We were escorted to a very comfy booth table over watching the bar area. The waiter was very attentive and polite. I order the surf and turf. My steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The crab cakes were an added bonus. The culinary skills for this plate was so beautiful I almost didn’t want to eat it but I’m glad I did. Very nice and we will definitely be back for another date night.

2022-05-15I was greeted by a very friendly and professional staff and seated immediately (Solo dining). My server (Ashley) was amazing, professional, courteous, and had a wonderful attitude! Ordered the Oakwood fired ribeye and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered rare and rare is exactly what I received. You can really taste the oak in the steak, and paired with the sear, creates and amazing combination of flavors! The dish came with mashed potatoes and green beans which both had a fantastic flavor. My experience here far exceeded my expectations and I will definitely return.

2022-04-13We had a party of 6 and our waitress Sharon was great! The food was amazing! We were told it would be a 30 minute wait to be seated and we were seated in 10 minutes. We will definitely go back if we are in the area again!

2022-03-15I have been 3 times in this restaurant. This time I got the Steak flatbread. I got impressed with the size of the flatbread, and it was awesome, very good balance of flavor. Long story short this restaurant is my favorite in savannah so far. Very good food, very good service, very good prices, what else could you ask for ? :)

2022-05-18The service was excellent but the food was decent, the price didnt match the quality of food but the coleslaw was good, aspargus couldve been cooked longer in my opinion but they had a good seasoning on it. the ribs were so big! so guess thats what i paid for, but 50% of the rib was fat so.. got a long island and it was basically juice lol. service 11/10 food 6/10

2022-06-19My husband has been to Sam Snead’s in Savannah several times. This was my first time eating here, and I was excited because my husband always speaks highly of it. We ordered the Father’s Day steak special but were very disappointed with the cook on the meat. He ordered the steak medium rare but it came out between blue and rare. It was a disservice to such a wonderful cut of meat, especially for the price. My fish and chips were excellent, and our chicken satay appetizer was delicious. Our waitress Sarah was fantastic and so friendly. She never forgot about us even though she was very busy. She offered to take the steak back to have it recooked, but we declined since the topping would not have come back the same and my husband would have been sitting, waiting while the rest of us enjoyed our meals. We plan to return, but we will not be ordering any more steak dishes or specials.
