It started off poorly as we brought our dog and planned to sit outside ... we were informed twice, once by the server, and again by who I assumed was the manager that dogs were not welcome ... EVEN OUTSIDE. This was conveyed without tact or basic civility. We were granted a table outside despite the presence of our very well-behaved, unobtrusive dog. I ordered steak ... tough and gristly throughout ... fortunately, my dog was glad to assist. The service was slow and very uncoordinated. HOWEVER ... the highlight of the evening was the loud argument between a server and the manager-apparent. I should have sent my steak back ... I suppose I was trying to be optimistic about the consistency and did not want to make the evening any more unpleasant than it already was. For this service and meal quality, I would expect to be paid, rather than pay, to endure the experience.
The General manger, Mike, is one of the most hateful people you’ll ever meet. He cusses at his employees and yells at them in front of customers. My young nephews were present hearing everything word he said. He got in a poor girls face and started yelling and threatening her. Is was a disgrace. He is extremely rude to customers as well. He has no idea how to operate a restaurant, and has no customer service at all. He should not be allowed to manage a restaurant. He has scared away so many of my friends and now me. My family will no longer be eating here.
New ownership no where near caliber or taste of original Samba Loca. Nothing in this restaurant looks or taste Brazilian. I ate at the original restaurant weekly. Had not visited since it moved to a quad on the square. Sadly disappointed in the food. The service was great.
This is a very interesting Brazil style restaurant. Im pleasantly surprised with the entire facilityGot lucky on this visit very few people in. I understand they are normally very busy. The most shocking thing is the prices. Great view good prices, nice restrooms. One other cool thing each table cloth has paper lining. Gets changed after each customer leaves.
Food and ambience rate it. The service a tad suspect this time but is normally top notch. Busy for a Monday and slow tonight. Short staff and seemed to be a kitchen back up. Internet prices do not reflect all the increases. Needs to improve back to their former level.
Ive eaten here several times and it gets worse every time.We came here last Monday with 4 adults and two kids. Food was way over priced and portions ridiculous! I know with COVID a lot of restaurants have limited menus and prices went up, but this was honestly sad. It was the other couples first time eating here and they were very disappointed. My steak was burnt and very chewy. We had gratuity added to our ticket even with 4 adults. We are normally 25%-30% tippers. When asked about the gratuity they said it was a mistake on the server Ryans part and that it shouldnt have been added with only 4 adults at the table. $153 later I dont think we will be back until there are some MAJOR changes.
We ate here tonight for the first time and had a wonderful experience. It was our 15th wedding anniversary and someone was kind enough to send our table champagne. The food was absolutely amazing and exceeded every expectation. The server was polite, friendly, and very attentive. The atmosphere was very soothing and romantic. To top off the wonderful meal, they gave us a complimentary dessert which was just as good as the entrees. We have found our new favorite date spot. Highly recommend!
The food was good, the service was a little lacking. The restaurant wasnt busy around 6pm. We were never served bread, and our meals didnt come with the condiments we asked for. They eventually brought us one of the condiments, but not the other. Come on guys Quality Assure your tables orders. This is how your earn your keep.
On Monday night, My family and I ate here, hoping to enjoy a fine dining experience. I have to say that the large piece of rolled out, white construction paper added on top of our linen tablecloths felt very un-classy. If it were due to the virus reasonings, a bare table top would have been much more enjoyable. We ordered one of the craft cocktails. The liquor pour was a little too heavy, though I know this isnt always such a negative thing. However, for us, in this atmosphere, we missed out on enjoying the actual, amazing sounding flavors of the drink. The serving staff was not seen very frequently and our basic needs were not being met. Communication as to why would have been nice, for we are understanding people, and servers ourselves. Though we could not see what was going on in the back of the restaurant, from what we could tell, it was a fairly slower night. It seemed as though, responsibility was being shared regarding running food and for the girl that ran ours, she is the reasoning behind me sharing our overall experience (Im not a frequent reviewer.) This same girl, was one of the very few, seen throughout our time (because she was standing at the corner of the bar, eating, while flirting with a customer.) She first delivered our bread, so we did ask her to bring out the regular butter that we originally asked our waiter for when he gave us the option. Once she delivered our meal (our server still had not made an appearance,) so we asked her for steak knives so we could actually eat our meal... when she came back, we did need refills, and our server was still not around. So, I laughed and genuinely stated, Im sorry, I know youre not our server! Once bringing our drinks to us, we thanked her and went to carrying on the conversation we were having.... Heres the thing, she never turned and left. She just STOOD there, starring at us in silence, for an unbelievable amount of time! After making multiple looks back and forth between each other and her, completely confused, I laughed and said, what?! She then proceeded with an overall cocky attitude and said, can I get you ANYTHING ELSE?!At this point, we were still in total shock, for I have never had such an experience at a restaurant. Her actions couldnt even be justified as to why she would act like that. Again, as a server myself... helping your fellow teammates when a guest wants something is a common rule. In this case we actually had needs. We were not, by any means, being needy. When she left us, she went straight back to entertaining that same guy at the bar, discussing and laughing at what she just did. My family and I began discussing what just happened. Never have any of us been so disrespected by someone, EVER, and this is not ok.Because we know these things can be changed, and the food was great... I am not suggesting that we wont ever be back or that someone shouldnt try this restaurant... maybe we just picked a bad night. However, regarding her, that does not make any excuse for how she treated us. After asking my server when leaving, he stated her name to be Ana or possibly Hannah.
We found this cute little restaurant on google using the search and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The drinks were strong the atmosphere relaxing and inviting while still classy. We ordered the calamari and it was devoured. Their bread with the garlic aioli we could’ve made a meal on alone. Everyone enjoyed their food however we ordered a combo platter meant to be shared everything on there was delicious except for the ribs. They were mostly fat and eating them just wasn’t pleasant at all. We will definitely be back just no ribs for us next time. Our waitress was also attentive and helpful definitely a reason to return.
Atmosphere and service was amazing. The bread that came before the meal was awesome with the sauce and pico type stuff that came with it. But honestly, we were a little disappointed with our steaks. We got the steak combo and the top sirloin and the short ribs were so tough! Even cooked medium. ☹️Well go back to try something else because the atmosphere and service were so good, but for being a steakhouse, the steaks werent all that great...
I went to Samba Loca for the first time with my partner recently and the entire experience was amazing! The atmosphere is great. Our server was fantastic. He was very nice and personable. Our food was excellent and flavorful! We will definitely be back very soon. Hands down, the best local dine-in restaurant.
Best dining experience Ive ever had. My husband is very allergic to shellfish, but not only did the wait staff let me know that there is a separate grill they could cook on just for him, but they also let me know other options for him that would not be cooked on the grill at all! Wait staff and owner so nice, makes me keep coming back. If anyone has never eaten their food, their creme brulee is to die for. 5 Stars for me, Ill be coming back!
We love to go out. Last night we went to this magnificent place which we didn’t know before. We passed a lovely evening there with exceptional food and a professional crew and an impressive chef. We put this venue in our list and we shall definitely return very soon. We highly recommend.
It was okay. We had a group of six and my food was lukewarm. Some of the food on my wifes food was the same. The food was cooked thoroughly. I think the timing wasnt right one point as far having everything come up at the same time. The atmosphere was pleasant and well as the server.
We enjoyed our meal at Samba Loca. I am not a vegetarian, but do not really like red meat. My husband ordered steak, it smelled so good I had to try it....I will now order steak, but only here. It was out of the world delicious. I ordered the red fish, which was great also. Our server was excellent, lovely atmosphere.
One of the only five star restaurants in Carrollton the staff and food of this place never disappoints.top notch in every way, always on top of it. Food and presentation are unbelievable we were there with a party of 11 the last visit and service was impeccable no complaints.I had one of the best steaks that I have ever had anywhere probably better than Ruths Chris!I wish I could remember the servers name so I could give him Kudos but I have absolutely forgotten. My only complaint where this place is they install televisions over the bar, I like low key dining environments, where food is focus not football.Thankfully no sound.
My favorite lunch is the stuffed burger! I go smoked Gouda and peppers sometimes and then blue and bacon others. You will not be disappointed! They are absolutely delicious, but can take awhile, so don’t do it if in a rush. At dinner, I go for the curry chicken. I love their chimichurri sauce as well.
Nice food. The dressing for the salads and the sauce this place provides for the steaks are really good. We got the meat platter and as it says on the menu, it definitely was enough to feed three adults (comes with two side salads and two sides). Friendly and fast service too.
I was with a group from work so I felt weird taking pictures of our meals! Wish I had though!Such an amazing meal. Seriously I think everyone got a different dish and we for a few appetizers and tried everything, it was all so good! Could have made a meal out of the bread to be honest!
I told my friends about this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the food there is delicious and the team is generous and cooperative. always when we visit this place we pass a delightful evening. warmly recommended.
Love this place, we ate outside. Weather perfect with gentle breeze, absolutely great server and the food is oh so good. I live the skewers. They are all good but my fave is the Brazilian sausage. Complimentary bread with some type garlic cream sauce. Wife loves the steak or salmon. Also, empanadas or little chicken thigh as app. Always good!
Second visit, many to come! Lovely ambience, FANTASTIC food and our server Anfernee (can be mistaken as Anthony when heard) was the best!! He was so respectful and down-to-earth! Spoke with assistant manager (Brent) and manager (Mike) about our wonderful experience, and they were just as pleasant and attentive! Side note: Plan ahead!! Service took a bit longer than wed expected, but food and service THIS fresh and THIS delicious is worth the wait!!
My husband and I happened to stumble on this place looking for some good ol Mexican food and were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant to be a Brazilian steakhouse. This was our first visit and I dont like reviewing the food because everyone has different tastes but I enjoyed my meal and will definitely go back. I think the prices are a little high for just a casual meal but if your looking for a nice meal outside of the chain restaurant box, this is a good choice. There are a lot of menu choices, covering many different meal types like: steaks, pastas, rice, and seafood. Most of the meals are between $20 - $40. My only complaint would have been that I wish the menu explained the meals a little better. Unless you are familiar with Brazilian food names and terms you will end up asking a lot of questions.
The food was very good. When we arrived we were luke warmly greeted by a hostess who turned out to be our hostess. She never introduced herself so we asked her name. Her service was good but she was a little flip when I questioned the cut of the short ribs that was a thick flat rib cut. PS , Im a chef. However we would come back again, the food was very good and fresh. It was an early birthday dinner for my husband do we drove in from Riverdale to dine with his UWG princess.
My husband and I go to Samba Loca for every occasion we can. The food is excellent. Sometimes better than others, but never have we been displeased. The service is exquisite, all servers are polite, friendly, and very efficient. One person stands out among all as the best, Michael, the manager during the day. He is welcoming, remembers his clientele, and is always concerned with out comfort and happiness. There is no job too small, if something needs done, he is right there to do it, or see it done well.Other than the excellent fair, Michael always makes our visit a pleasant experience with his exemplary leadership and skill.
Horrible dining experience. We were so excited to find a Brazilian steakhouse, but it turned out to be a total flop. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it tasted like it was straight out of a bag from the freezer. Everything took 10 times longer to get than it should have. Finally after waiting 45 minutes for our lunch entree, we simply ask the waiter for our check for what we had eaten so far and left. The bar area is beautiful. I am Brazilian and nothing about the venue or the food or the Service reflects Brazilian. Poor food, poor service, high prices, incompetent staff, and loud bad music spell out disaster! I will be surprised to find this restaurant still open for business the next time we return to Carrollton. I do know that we will not be eating there again.
One of our absolute favorite spots in our town! Great service, fantastic food & always a fantastic time. We dine in for both lunch and dinner and have even had take-out. Definitely our go-to spot! The wedge salad, mussels, lamp chops & gouda mac and cheese are all out of this world!
I first dined at Samba Loca with a group of my husbands co workers. This was before they moved to the square. The food was excellent. Since that time, I have taken my daughter there for her birthday (June 2015) and more recently I dined there with my husband (January 2016). Each time the food, atmosphere and customer service has been excellent!!
Very dissatisfied, service was very slow. Food was not what you would expect from a Brazilian restaurant. Ordered Agnolotti pasta, which was an upcharge I was fine with. It was not what I got was basic regular size pasta, which does make a difference in taste. Manager made the excuse that there was four cheeses, the reason it was so big. Im sorry, but I know my pastas. Manager very rude.
Sorry thought it would be better. Steak was 14 oz but 4 oz of fat. App was to have chicken inside no chicken. Salads terrible. Ask about reservations do not know why place was half empty. Wish them luck but i will not be dropping by. Serving food on small plates and bowls does not mean high class just over all boring.
Food is good. Drinks are great. However, the OVERLY SACCHARINE wait staff totally lost them TWO stars. I cant recall being more annoyed by an ass kissing hipster douche. Thats right: I just said Ive *never* been more annoyed by a hipster. You folks know how annoying all the hipsters are, right? Brother, this gent took the grand prize. Some people appreciate a doting waiter. I wanted to spill my plate on the guy just so hed go away for a few. God dang man, we came to eat, not hang with you.Also- our scallops were past their prime. Scallops are tricky tho, so we werent mad or anything... Just be aware.
My family had reservations for Mothers Day at 1pm. Everyone was there and seated by 1:15pm...always a few late stragglers. It was two hours before we received our food. Almost an hour before we even received bread. Not only was Service TERRIBLE, but our server, who rarely checked on us, gave very lame excuses. The manager only communicated with us once, and that was to inform my nephew that they were short on the lamb chops he ordered and asked what he would like instead....this was after we had been sitting for almost an hour and half. I believe our server either misplaced our ticket or forgot to turn it in. Will NOT go back. No excuse for how we were treated.
This was such a wonderful experience!! It being my first visit, it was absolutely memorable!! The setting is beautiful and the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious, and the service is impeccable. I was referred by a friend to dine at this restaurant and I would highly recommend if you are looking for a dining experience, please visit this location and be sure to request for Kaven.
Amazing love the lunch menu, more than dinner. But owner or manager is always there. Outstanding service and food. P.S. he owns Leopolds Pizza too. Best all around. A few tweaks by me perfection. Serve lunch menu all day at Samba loca , more cream in pea soup. Take that thick mozzarella and make it available on pizza next door for a additional charge. Its in your inventory real pizza lovers will pay for it. Your welcome.
The food was very expensive. I got the krazy kabobs and they were 3 small skewers of meat and a cup of rice for $16. There wasnt much flavor and it was luke warm. My wife got the strogonauff and it was good. Decent amount of gluten free choices as long as you are willing to pay a boat load. Service was😒 so so.
Very disappointed in the food and service of this restaurant. I love Brazilian food and this definitely missed the mark. We waited so long for our food, and when we spoke the to the manager, he wasn’t very accommodating either. Our waiter told us that she was aware that the dishes we ordered typically take a long time to come out, but she failed to tell us that when we ordered. When the food finally came out, some 98 mins later, our food was very bland. Overall very disappointing.
I’ve eaten here a few times, and ordered through DoorDash.. the food is normally fantastic! Today, it was disappointing. The restaurant gave the Door Dasher 2 orders. Mine was 2nd. Cold mahi-mahi is not good. The beans and rice were still warm, but the Caesar side salad consisted of the hard pieces in the middle of a head of lettuce. Let’s be clear.... NOBODY likes that... nobody. If I’m paying $20 for some mahi-mahi, my salad needs to be perfection. Y’all need to get it together.
This is my favorite restaurant in Carrollton. Samba Loca has a very diverse menu, and the atmosphere is great for business, pleasure and parties. The lunch menu is great for a quick bite, and the dinner menu is filled with many delicious entrees. My husband and I enjoy date night here, frequently.
We had a great experience at this fairly new Brazilian-influenced restaurant, tucked in a corner of the downtown Square, in Carrollton. The lunch menu had variety and good prices. Loved the lobster bisque, both chicken and Brazilian smoked sausage kabobs, and a Phillypicanha (Brazilian-style Philly cheesesteak). There were many other tempting items, as well. The restaurant is in a lovely restored building, with an amazing bar. Service was very attentive. Definitely will be back.
It was mine & husbands first time there. My birthday. A roach huge leaped onto his head then ran across his forehead. The manager bought us desert and my glass if wine for the disgusting horror we were put thru. Honestly that was a shocking end to a otherwise beautiful dinner with a loving man. However it has left me hesitant to return. I refused for that to ruin our time together but I was shaken inside because it ran right at me when my husband knocked it off his face. Later we recieved a $25 coupon in the mail. Really what should have happened is a bottle of the wine I was drinking should have been delivered to me with a bouquet of 3 dozen red Roses along with the $25 coupon.
We had a wonderful dinner - very pleasantly surprised! Probably the best dinner we have had in a “sit down” restaurant in Carrollton since moving here a couple years ago! We had pretty much figured we had left all the good food choices in Atlanta 😏 The menu choices were fantastic - something for everyone!! Our server McKinnely (sp?) was super friendly and attentive ❤️ As was the entire staff! Because of our fabulous experience we will be back! I suggest saving room for desert as that menu looked incredible 😍 We took a quick stroll around the rest of the downtown square and are excited to try a few of the other offerings!! Thank you Samba Loca!!
We had an outstanding dining experience there from the time we arrived until we left. The food is absolutely wonderful. The restaurant is very clean and in the heart of downtown Carrollton. Asher was our server and I highly recommend that you ask for him when you arrive. My son had a great birthday dinner. He made the comment that this was in his top three as far as delicious steaks. He has been to many so that says alot. You cant go wrong here whether you like Brazilian cuisine or not. It is the place to go while in Carrollton.
My fiance says that I am a very hard critic when it comes to food...lol...not that hard in my opinion...I just really enjoy fine dining...we visited this steakhouse and it was a great experience!! I would definitely recommend and it would be my absolute pleasure to go back!! Thanks Samba Loca ❤
My family and I ate at Samba Loca for Fathers Day 2015. The appearance of the restaurant was upscale but the staff was very down to earth and friendly. This was my first experience dining in a Brazilian Steakhouse and I was highly impressed. I had the filet (medium-rare, without sauce) and it blew any other steak that I have ever eaten away. The black beans and yellow rice was divine and the macaroni and cheese was tongue slap yo brains out GOOD!!! The prices were reasonable, even though the food was expertly cooked and aesthetically presented.Goodbye Longhorn - Samba Loca is my new favorite steakhouse.
I picked up a delivery, they put my company on hold, and never answered which made me late for the rest of my deliveries, they treated me like a second class citizen just because i was picking up a delivery order. One person was nice to me. I will NEVER pay with my own money to eat at this place if they act like they are too good for single mom using delivery as a 2nd source of income.
Ok ill keep it simple. The nicest waitress in town served us, best lunch specials beat even fast food prices for quality delicious food, and I feel like Im welcomed and in a home like place there. Low lighting with a cozy warm feeling.Dont be skeptic, the pizza was great and for 9 bucks on Friday you get a personal pizza, a soup, and salad!Tell Joe I sent you. You wont be disappointed. Those people below are all looney. My coworkers and i always eat here.
Truly the best! Checkout the bar, it is composed of African Mahogany and was designed and constructed by a master at the trade (my father). Humor yourself and try to find a screw-hole. There definitely is a bias, but the bar is a masterpiece nontheless. It was in fact the first bar in GA to have an iced-over draft faucet. - Oh! Did I mention how good the food was? Dont trust me? Check it out for yourself!
We arrived a few minutes early for 7:00 dinner reservation. Told we had to wait for a while and we can’t have a table as the open table is being held for someone with a reservation, apparently not us. There is noone else waiting to be seated. We wait. This is a new restaurant, and we want to give them a chance. We look around. The food score, a rating by the dept. of health required to be posted in a visible area, is missing.10 minutes later – seated at the same table hostess told us we couldn’t have. It isnt very clean.Waitress comes with water and menus. After a wait, she comes back and asks if we want drinks. We ask if there is a wine menu, which she finds for us.Wait wait wait wait wait.Waitress brings us a bread basket. But no bread plates.Waitress comes back in about 10 minutes – no drinks, they only have 2 bartenders tonight [Friday night, small restaurant and not a ‘bar’, so 2 should have been fine, but they are so slow] We order appetizers, our meals, and a wine we ask to be served with the meal.Wait wait.Drinks arrive. Taste like they opened a packet of sour mix powder and shook it with some unidentified liquor – has foam on the top of the margarita.Waitress walks by often, but does not check with us. Finally we wave her down – tell her the drink is terrible and send it back. She returns to tell us that one of the entrees is not available. My husband tells her he will have whatever I am having.Wait wait.Waitress brings us the bottle of wine. We tell her, again, that we want it with the meal and to please keep it chilled until then. Since she is there we ask her what the food score is. She tells us it is posted up front. She looks. It isn’t there. She tells us she will find out from the owner.Wait wait.We have been here almost an hour and have been served one basket of bread and a bad margarita. After another 10 minutes we get our appetizer, but no plates. We ask for plates. Oh! She gets us 2 plates.Another 10 minutes goes by. Waitress comes to tell us that our meal will be up next. She clears the appetizer plates. Finally our meal is delivered. But no silverware.A few more minutes goes by and the waitress comes back with the bottle of wine, which had obviously been sitting in the ice bucket the whole time as all the ice is melted. We ask for silverware. Oh! She goes and gets it. Then returns to open the bottle of wine. Which she can’t open. Finally takes bottle to the back. Comes back in a few minutes with the opened wine bottle. After an hour and a half we have received our meal! We have wine. We have silverware. We have food. And it is okay. Nothing wrong with the food, but not worth the wait either. We decide that we are not even going to attempt to order a dessert or coffee, but that turns out to be a non-issue.Although plenty slow about taking orders and bringing food, plates, silverware, they are FAST when it comes to the bill. We aren’t even asked if we WANT dessert or coffee – the bill is plunked down on the table while there is still wine in the glasses and food on the plates. At least we won’t have a long wait for this! But, sadly, the bill is in error. We are charged for 3 entrees – the two we were served as well as the one that was ordered originally but not available. My husband doesn’t wait [we’ve learned] but goes to the waitress at the back and tells her the bill has an error. So the owner comes to our table to apologize that they did not have the entrée we ordered. We explain that we are not upset that they did not have the entrée. We do not believe we should be charged for food we did not receive. After a few minutes we get the bill again, and this time it does not have the un-delivered entrée listed. We also received a discount on our meal. However, we’ve been here for nearly 2 hours and have not been treated courteously from when we walked in the door to the completion of the meal. And, illegally and a little scarily, we never do find out the food score.
Very rude and disrespectful. Waited for over 5 mins to be seated, and once we were told to take a seat by a waiter, we were then told by someone to return to our place in line and wait to be seated. They were not busy at all. No hostess by the door to seat customers. And all this was at 12:30 in the afternoon.
The inside does not reflect what I would consider to be a Brazilian restaurant! Also the music that is blasted from the back room is quite annoying when your trying to have a nice lunch! The food was decent I would eat there again! But if you have a coupon for this place good luck using it, I have tried to use my 10% off coupon and every time they tell me You cant use it this time but we will take it the next time!
I work 4 jobs..,1 of the jobs is with door dasher. Ive drivem for grub hub, numerous pizza places electrical companies and hvac companies. That matters because ive met a couple of thousand people in doing these trades....AND NOT ONE OF THEM Showed me an amount of disrespect that i was shown there....i came in to pick up an order and i told them who i was and why i was there.....after 15 minutes of waiting i got up and asked about the order and they didnt even know about the order....plus they was so fukin rude.

2022-04-03For dinner on my initial visit, tried a seared Ahi Tuna special that was perfect and the Crazy Kabobs (Chicken, Steak and Sausage) that was good. Both dishes came with tasty sauces and with good salads. Service was excellent. Nice place with nice ambiance.

2021-09-10Excellent. Rib eye cooked to perfection. Best cooked steak Ive had this year. And I travel a lot. Brilliant barman waiter. Polite, attentive. Great wine choice as recommended. Argentina blend. Best meal out this year. 80 bucks for 3 courses and a 14 dollar glass of red. Go, you wont be disappointed.

2022-04-20My daughter had a showing of a movie that she was in at the Cultural Arts Center. We decided to take her out to eat. She chose this restaurant because it was one of her favorite memories from her childhood. My wife and I ordered the Steak Combo (our favorite thing on the menu and the best deal). My daughter ordered the Lamb Chops. My son ordered the Samba Milanese. My mother-in-law ordered the Top Sirloin Cap (Picanha). We also ordered the Garlic Shrimp for an appetizer because we used to order that when my daughter was young. Everything came out quickly and perfectly cooked. This place is the best! I would highly recommend this location.

2022-03-15Lets preface this by saying Im brazilian: this is not a brazilian restaurant, this is an american take on brazilian food. The interior of the restaurant doesnt feel brazilian, the menu is not very brazilian apart from some stuff here and there and the food didnt taste very brazilian also, taking from the 3 items we ordered. The coxinhas were small and felt like the breading was italian seasoned, nothing like the original; the shrimp stroganoff didnt feel creamy; the Picanha was tough and didnt have the famous fat were know from.Apart from that, the service was good, the manager even went and talked to us and comped the picanha.I wasnt expecting brazilian excellency by any means, but I didnt feel close to home at all. If you want to try real Brazilian food, you should go to Marietta. If you want some food that feels american with a twist, youll be perfectly fine here.

2022-06-13Delicious. Every. Time!! Not a bad dish or plate, ever! Absolutely worth the money. We go when we want a good upscale dinner. Weve been after a long day in shorts and yoga pants and weve been when we reserved a table and dressed up as well. You can eat as fast or slow as you want. Or take your time and not order meals till after youve eaten the appetizers etc.Im gluten and dairy free among other allergies. Theyre always accommodating. Have a plentiful gluten free menu. Service is always amazing! If I ever remember to take a pic before I dive into my food I will, but once that food is in front of me, all that goes out the window!

2022-04-254**** We have eaten here half a dozen times over the past six months and we have enjoyed every meal and every glass of wine and every staff member we have met such a group of polite young folks seemingly making a careeer in the industry we’ve ordered specials and straight off the menu and there’s a half a dozen dishes that we haven’t even had yet we kind of meandered towards fish and vegetables and salad which it taste like they make their own dressing and we usually take leftovers to go home and reheat the next day for lunch we usually get here early at 5 PM before the crowd hits I’m coming back next Monday and that’s all that matters :-)

2022-07-03Tonight was our first time eating at Samba Loca and it was excellent! Every single thing we ordered (4 of us) was great. Quality food, well prepared, and nicely presented. Our server was exceptional and the atmosphere was great. I love that we have an upscale restaurant right here in Carrollton. We will definitely be back!

2022-02-21Absolutely loved the food and drinks. We had the lamb chops, sea bass and salmon chips. The service was great as well. The only reason that I didnt give 5 stars is because of the lack of lighting. If you are going to dim the lights at least make sure that theres a fixture at every table.

2022-03-20I struggle with histamine intolerance, and this is the only restaurant I have found with a meat I can safely eat. It’s extra special that the food is incredible. So happy to have a place to safely dine. I enjoy their lamb chops, salad, and sweet potato fries, but they also offer other things like brussel sprouts; asparagus; and plantain chips which are great for people like me. Very thankful to have discovered this restaurant and be able to enjoy a fancy date night with my husband occasionally. (He has loved everything he’s tried there as well!)
