I love this club. I was with Celtic until it formed into Savannah United. One coach I would like to give a shout out to is Coach Kieth. He really helpful with all coaches and the club. He also used to be my coach. Another one is Coach Dustin who is sadly not their anymore. He was also my coach believed in everybody, like we went to pks 8n a game and he put the smallest person on our team to kick last and he made the pk and made us win. I love the attitude, humor, and hardwork in the coaches. They have trained weak players into better players and better players into even more better players. One Vision, One Community, One Club!!! Savannah United!!!!!!!!!!
Where do I begin? Truly not an academy level program...not anything like programs abroad. It is a rec program at best. The club only shows interest in children who already show natural promise (example: they will invite them at academy level to elite or pre-elite training, which is just an extra night of training. On top of that, they make great effort to keep this secret from players and parents who are not invited, causing only poor feelings, rather than being straight with them.) If any of your kids want to learn football, sorry, soccer, from scratch, best to find a small program with committed and consistent coaching staff. (SU can not keep coaches and we have had our share of inadequate coaches). SU is too big and really seems only interested in numbers (hence collecting money) and serving those they have become closely affiliated with (nepotism without being related or cronyism). We have bounced around from club to club and they really are all the same...the big ones are, rather. If you stay as long as 2-3 years, you will see parents bouncing their kids back and forth between them.If you are looking for an entrée or pathway to college, do proper research. Do not engage any club in talks, as they will only toot their own horns and, if they are lacking scruples, will talk badly about other clubs to make themselves appear more attractive. Rather, look to their standings state wide and look to see how those standings have developed over time. If you do not see much progress from year to year, following a specific age group, steer clear. If your child just wants to play or you only want to get your child engaged in an activity, stay local if you are from outside of Savannah or only register them for rec. if you insist on playing with SU. At least you wont feel annoyed by spending as much money for so very little.
They deserve a 0 star. All they are after is money. They do not care who is training the kids, how the kids are being trained. If you complain, the coach will be informed and your son/daughter will be yelled at and be a bench warmer. Look for another option like I did wasting my money for a year.
Unless your kid is a special talent, skip United. This weekend my boys team of five kids, squared off against the United select team of twelve of the best young soccer kids Ive ever seen. It was unsafe, and when one of our kids got hurt, we went from having no subs to literally playing four on five, against a team of twelve at noon under 100 degree heat. It was not fun. It was glaringly obvious where United puts their money & effort. It sure isnt into little boys who want to play a fun soccer game. United took my money & has given us the absolute worst soccer experience imaginable. Never again.
I have never experienced such a negative parent experience. Extremely LOUD, extremely ignorant and uneducated of the game. I had to put in ear buds not to listen to media, but to drown out the trash coming out of the mouths of the parents. Someone needs to address this. Specifically, 19U Classic 1D.

2020-11-16This is our 3-4 season with Savannah United & we love it!! I have twin girls that play with Coach Robert Long. He is a great coach, really loves the sport and cares about the kids. Makes it fun while teaching them the sport. The fields are great in savannah, always organized and ready. Never a problem, look forward to playing with them for years to come!!!

2015-04-02I have been a soccer coach for around ten years. I recently moved both my kids to Savannah United to see the difference. I have been amazed by the professionalism and overall outstanding knowledge of the coaches and staff. My kids have improved well beyond what I could have imagined. My wife and I would and have recommended that our friends try this club. We were told that this club was not family oriented and that turned out to be the farthest from the truth. My daughter is a traveling softball player also. The staff and coaches were understanding of our dilemma and helped us to ensure that she was able to get the most out of both sports. We appreciate all that the coaches and staff have done for us.

2015-04-03Being a player on a Savannah United Academy soccer team has only deepened our sons love of the game. The Academy/Select programs are filled with excellent coaches who are very dedicated and highly skilled. This opportunity for players to move beyond a recreational team atmosphere is a fantastic experience. When a player is ready to commit more time, travel, and dedication to the sport, Savannah United Academy/Select soccer is the way to go for an opportunity of more competitive play. Our son has participated in the skills training as well and we have been very happy with his progression. The skills program is fantastic and gives specific attention to improving each players skill level. We are very happy to be a part of the Savannah United soccer club and look forward to many more seasons.

2020-09-26Received an email stating the first practice was 2 weeks before the start date. No person of contact or coach name. Get to the complex, wander around for 25 minutes and found 4 other families looking for practice. Couldn’t get a hold of anyone so we left.2 weeks later show up and can’t find the field. Go and stand at the “Information” tent for 10 minutes before someone shows up who can help us. Get to the correct field and talk to a coach. Never asks a name just kicks us a ball and walks away. My kid gets no further attention from a coach. After 15 minutes we leave. They clearly only want money and don’t care about families’ experience. Do yourself a favor; save your money and sanity and find ANY other organization. We’ll be signing back up for Soccer Shots next season.

2015-04-02I am a parent whose child has played several seasons of Savannah United soccer, in the U-6 program. I have been pleased with the clubs communication with parents, overall organization in practice and game scheduling, their attentiveness to players needs, and the coaches enthusiasm for the sport. The coaches emphasize teamwork and skills with the younger players, and are very effective at teaching the sport to these young players. We look forward to many years with Savannah United.

2015-04-03My son loves soccer thanks to the nurturing, fun coaches at Savannah United. Soccer is by far his favorite activity. Even as he gets older and the game becomes more challenging, it still gives him great joy because Savannah United keeps the game fun.

2015-04-02My three daughters have been with SU since their beginning and have loved every minute of it. I have one in Academy and two in Select, so that means lots of practices and also lots of traveling. Mine didnt start playing soccer until they were 9-10yrs old, so they had to learn the game quickly to catch up to their teammates level. Savannah Uniteds coaching staff have trained and encouraged my older girls to become PDP, DTC and ELITE players in just two short years. I have no doubt that with the coaches guidance, my youngest will follow in their footsteps on the field!

2015-04-02We have been a part of Savannah United Soccer Club since it formed around mid 2013. Our kids have had a good experience learning soccer from some fine youth soccer coaches in the Academy and Select programs. Not only have they received some fine coaching from a variety of the clubs soccer coaches, they have been taught how to play the game with respect, learned the values of team work and gained many friendships with other youth soccer players. The club ( from my personal experience ) is also focused as well on its very youngest soccer players ( those between 3 and 8 years old ). It provides them with sound technical training as well as fun environment to develop a positive outlook for their soccer experience. This is truly a community club that is engaged with its soccer family in a variety of ways.

2015-08-20Savannah United teaches your kids to love the game of Soccer. So less expensive than a big city soccer club. We Savannah are so very lucky to have US Soccer Accredited coaches working with the kids. Savannah United is a great soccer club.
