We normally have great service but not last night. The waiter forgot to order the appetizer and then when he brought the food ask if we still wanted it. I said yes, the appetizer is the only thing my little girl will it. After about 20 mins my husband ask a waitress to please check on it, only to find out it was never ordered. As we were paying the appetizer was brought out. I will go back but will make sure we have a different waiter/waitress. The food was great!
When staffing issues are fixed and an actual cook is making the food, I will alter my review, until then..The catfish filet was drenched in grease with a chicken taste like they used the same fryer. There was only two employees that I could see, maybe a waitress acting as a cook in back.Fries were good though, and our waitress was friendly
I visited on 5/31 and what a disappointment. I waisted $58 on the lunch special with fried fish and shrimp and even though is was cooked fresh to order it had little to no taste the fries were very crispy with no flavor and the seafood was over-battered and under seasoned.I also ordered the large shrimp and crab legs it was also lacking in flavor with huge pieces of tasteless potatoes. The young lady that took my order was very nice however we tossed most of the food as it was not very appetizing. I will stick with Juicy Crab from now on.
I wish I could’ve gave them -1 but since I can’t then I’ll give them the 1 star. My experience with them on today was horrible and they will never get another dime from me or my family. I asked for no sausage in my boil and as I was eating I see sausage spread out all over the bottom of the pan under all my other food. I am a pescatarian and I don’t eat pork so I was livid because I had checked my order before leaving the restaurant but I didn’t dig through it. I asked them for a refund and all they said they would do is make me another order. No sir I don’t want anything from here because you’ve already messed up my order once so no I don’t want it remade. They kept saying that all sales are final. I don’t care about that because it’s your fault that my Order was wrong. I will never recommend anyone to this restaurant or any other one where all sales are final. That only lets me know that you don’t take responsibility for your wrongs and don’t care anything about the customers.
Mary Shannon(Our waitress)I wanted to let you know that you did an awesome job tonight with My family and I.When no one else cared to wait on us even though you were the the bartender you showed up and showed out and everything was perfect. YOU WENT OVER AND ABOVE EXPECTATIONS Thank you again and for the owner I Think his name is Darien or Trick Thank you, You guys ROCK. Best customer service every❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
My family celebrated my 70th Birthday Dinner a day early on Sat. 12 Mar (20+ people) at Shells on Russel and the food was excellent as always but the service we received was AMAZING! “Mary S.” was on our receipt and she was phenomenal keeping up with our needy/drankin family ! I had the low country boil with crab legs and the crab cakes (fried). The next day everyone was talking about how good their food was. I realize that either bad service or food quality may cause a person to give less than 5 stars but both were excellent for our night out. Highly recommend!Oh, and a shoutout to the unknown patron who peeled off a $10 bill from his roll and gave it to me for my birthday! I tried to respectfully decline but he insisted. I definitely plan tp “pay it forward” in the future. Thank you!
I have fallen on difficult times. An employee by the name of Daisia saw my situation. I wish I could give your establishment and Daisia more than a 5 star rating for her kindness. Your chicken, shrimp, fish, hush puppies, and fries are all simply fabulous, and to die for. A truly great experience! Thank you so much!
Drove an hour to have lunch here and it was well worth it!! I will be making that drive again!!!!The food was fresh and delicious!!!Soooo yummy and buttery. Got some lemons on the side and squeezed it on there and it made it even better!!For $22 the portion size was great, i definitely thought i got my moneys worth.Restaurant and bathroom was clean and smelled fresh.Service was good and staff was friendly.
I went to Sea Shells Seafood Restaurant with my family. I had blackened flounder fillet, grilled jumbo shrimp, hush puppies, baked potato and mixed vegetables. All the food was hot and delicious. We also received excellent service from our waitress, Tiana S. She had a great personality, had a great attitude, was very attentive, and friendly. I will DEFINITELY come back.
Ok.....lets get this over with!We got seated at 4:15..... got our drinks and ordered an appetizer of the gator bites. 45 minutes later, my friends salad came out. Ten minutes later, you guessed it....the Gator bites. And just to mention, 2 other tables for their food before we did and they were seated well after us!Granted, the restaurant was very busy with a wait time of about 15 minutes for a table. Decor is nothing eye catching. Dark...black ceiling tile and dark floors to hide the messes made. Lighting was..... decent.Tables we clean but the chairs need updating already. Just looked like they were trying to save money. Now for the waiter....lol. Never did get his name until we got the check. First thing out of his mouth was to praise the ring on my friends finger. And to top it all.....he also made sure he noticed her necklace.Very unprofessional when you have that many people in the restaurant. You should be attending your guests and checking on their order, not worrying about ladies jewelry. Finally, after an hour my friends food came out. She ordered the blackened shrimp and scallops. Now ....if that was blackened, Im the Pope! Scallops were firm but not overcooked.....just barely. Shrimp was cooked right, but like I said.....not blackened. The hush puppies were.... dry....hard.....not seasoned and could have been used for slingshot ammo.My plate came out about 15 minutes after hers.I ordered the fried oysters and grilled Tilapia with corn on the cob and Mac and cheese.I got fried tilapia which was cooked......ok....but not seasoned very well. 2 pieces, but I only ate part of one piece. Just no. No i didnt send it back....it already took an hour to get. No way in hell I was sending it back!Mac and cheese was good. Creamy and had flavor. Corn on the cob was good. A little over cooked but good.My fried oysters were ok. Bland, needed something to bring them up. Not overcooked. Its not a REAL seafood restaurant. Yes they serve seafood, but its more along the lines of a Cajun restaurant and should probably be called something else. Their specialty is low country boil food which is a Cajun style of cooking. Simply because you serve shrimp and scallops does not make you a seafood restaurant.I noticed everyone was getting the low country boil meals , so that tells me you can cook alot of it and get in a container and serve it quicker. When I say container, I mean the metal mini wash tubs. All you get is 2 stars. I may come back on a less busier day and try the low country boil meal....then I may adjust my review, but I wouldnt bank on it.Have a nice day.
This last time I went there, the crab legs have gotten smaller. The Patron margaritas are really great! I think that they need a bigger building for dining in customers. We had to wait a hour to be seated but its worth the wait. I love eating here and the vibe is great.
If you are looking for great seafood to get your fill you have to try this place! When I informed locals aand showed them the pictures they were like where is that? Four of them told me they would be visiting in the next week. A dozen peel and eat shrimp, as well as the same amount of mussels, six big crawfish, and two nice clusters of snow crab...not to mention the three potatoes quartered, sausage and half ear of corn. While the corn was a little soggy (probably because it continued to cook at the bottom while I ate) but it was good with that butter/garlic mixture on the bottom. To finish a hard boiled egg, a bit strange but who am I to judge when the food tastes so good.
We tried to give 1/2 of a star but alas we could not. Soooooo, let me say; that the service was nill. We waited 20 minutes to get iced tea, then 35 more minutes for our food ah I meant slop. The shrimp po boy was missing the shrimp but the fries were great! The wife could not eat her hamburger however she was able to use it to resole her sneakers.Thank ,God for Pepto Bismol!
The food was terrible, got the catfish bone in a house salad ,bake potato and tea.Fish were too big and tasted like they were cooked in old oil, hush puppies were very bland no onion in them at all tasted like fried cornmeal balls with nothing but water in them.I will never dine at this place ever again.
Friendly atmosphere and welcoming hosts. Ordered a Pick Two with fried oysters and two bone in catfish fillets with Mac and cheese, coleslaw, and two hush puppies as the sides. Everything was so fresh that I had to wait a few minutes for my food to cool to thoroughly enjoy it. Flavors were just okay on the fish and I personally didnt like the Mac and cheese, but I really liked everything else. Would definitely return.
Sorry, I cant remember the name of our waitress but she did a great job. We were sitting by the window. Our food was delivered nice and hot. No problems with our order. Our waitress kept our drinks filled. I left with a full stomach and was still able to take a lot of my order home. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Zero stars, they won’t let you go negative stars, Just warning ⚠️, How would you rate Shells. Yesterday my wife and I went to the Russell Shells Seafood Restaurant, placed a to go order. The server said that would be faster. An HOUR, yes an Hour later no food! Other patrons had come into the restaurant 20-30 minutes after us to eat in and received their meals. When I asked at the 30, 40 and 50 minute point where our take out meals were, they only would say they are working on it. At the one hour point I asked and received a refund. They didn’t even offer any compensation. Probably will NEVER go back. Can’t rate the food. Hope if you go your experience will better.
Went there for lunch today for my birthday. Great food and service. Everything was tasty, hot, and fresh. I’ll definitely be back sometime... and will send friends there who are looking for some good local seafood! I highly recommend the grilled shrimp and fried scallops!!
I love this restaurant and its black owned with 2 locations in the same city! My friend raved about the food! I see why now. The food was affordable and is was fresh and delicious! I ordered a Oyster sandwhich, a kids chicken tender and my frend order a sea food platter. We drove an hour to get there but its worth it!
They came for my job. I delivered an order for them that was one item and they messed up the order but instead of owning up to it they said it was my fault, that I didn’t allow them time to pack the order. Thing is I HAVE to wait for them to give me the order, it’s only one item, and handed to me in a tied plastic bag and told to have a good one. What am I supposed to do? On top of being a delivery driver you want me to expo your food too? Bad business practices in my opinion.
This was my second time at this restaurant. The first time I dined in with friends. From what I remember the food was good. I do remember that the restaurant seems dark.Today I picked up.I ordered fried flounder on the phone with baked potato and cole slaw. I was told it would be ready in 5 or 10 minutes. ( it was ready quickly but not that soon).I asked for butter and sour cream with the potato before I left the restaurant since I was not asked when I ordered. When I got home I had 3 very small packs of a butter spread, no butter but did have sour cream. The hush puppies must go back to the drawing board. There were two smaller than golf balls. They are not fluffy and delicious. The Cole slaw needs to go back to the drawing board also. Too much Mayo. Could taste no other seasonings. The baked potato was medium sized but had a spoiled spot. The person splitting the potato could have easily seen that. Now to the good parts! The fried flounder was prepared excellent. The portion was large! This restaurant could step up a level from so so with its decor and light with a bit of work. The food recipes that need changing are the hush puppies and the coleslaw that I have tasted.Otherwise this could be a four star restaurant especially with the amount of food served and the pricing.Would I go again? Yes for pick up. I will not order the coleslaw.Try this restaurant and give your own review. Maybe someone somewhere is listening!
If I could give this place a negative 0 I would. The table that we were sitting at need it to be wiped off and swept up under we all had to stand around and wait because we let the staff know that we were not sitting at a table that wasnt ready to be seated Im not sure if it was the location on Russell Parkway that we attended however nine people at our table alk were disappointed no one finished there meal the food was cold the hush puppies are undercooked and gooey in the middle the fish taste like chicken and the chicken was fried in the same battery as the fish the tartar sauce taste like bitter warm mayonnaise that was poorly homemade the fried shrimp that my daughter received was gummy as if it was sitting out and rewarmed over all a birthday dinner for a friend gone very wrong
When I got here one of the workers that served us was EATING someones meal while on the job, didnt give us sliver ware, cracker used for crab, bibs, the gloves wasnt for seafood it was literally doctors. The waiter that served us also picked up trash then proceeded to serve our food. Mussels without changing her gloves please SAVE YOUR MONEY. Yami crab is 100% better.
My food was horrible!!! I got 4 Cajun butter crab boils, and EVERYTHING was mushy!!! The sauce was clumpy, and left a horrible after taste!!! Plus, one of my crab boils didn’t even have any shrimp!!! I spent approximately $170 for me and my family, only to get home to everyone complaining about the same exact things!!!! I called back to see if they would do anything to fix it, and the girl who answered said there was nothing that they could do!!!! I WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO HERE AGAIN!!!!!
My corn taste like hot water and the entire plate had very little seasoning. This happened last time and I swore I wouldnt go back. Now I am sure I wont go back. Maybe its just me and I over expected. I will make my own moving forward. It better than what I paid for at Shells
About 2 months ago I visited this restaurant with friends. We live I Atlanta and drove almost 2 hours to shop in Warrener Robbins. We waited 45 minutes to be seated and about 20 minutes for our food. It was amazing. Last night we made the drive just to eat at this establishment. There was no wait we we seated right away. Our food was served within 10 minutes of our order. We found that the price had gone up and the amount of food had gone down. Perhaps that was why the wait time decreased. When will restaurants learn that they need to keep the quality and quantity of the food the same? We realize that the price will sometimes increase but if the quality and quantity decrease so will the patronage. I will not be going back to this restaurant.
This was my first visit and the food was exceptionally delicious. The potatoes were moist the sauce was so good with the seafood. We ordered two low country broils. Awesome customer service. The bar lady was so kind to help us even when she normally dont and was willing to place our order, but somehow she couldnt. It was the thought that counted the most.
We got here at 7pm and was seated around 7:20, that wasnt so bad. The waitress came right over and she took our order promptly and was very nice. We are still here over 40 minutes later and hungry. The waitress explained our order had been sent to take out and had to be redone. The seafood turned out to be Very Good !! Disappointed in the wait time, though the meal Great. Will be back, though at an earlier time.
I used to order the combo two ( red crawfish , shrimp, bran legs) a lot 2 years ago, and back to then. The plates had more filled by what supposed be. Last year I had ordered twice which made me so disappointed. Can’t see enough seafood there. All filled by potatoes. I thought it would be a mistake. Then I tried them again one week ago. I am sure they cut a lot seafood from the plate and put all the potatoes to make it looks full and heavy. But that’s not what we expected at all. The customer service was nice. Cashier was helpful for pick up. But not the food! Maybe had five red crawfish and five shrimp , two crab legs ,,, other than that. All potatoes !Can’t believe it. And they even had raised the price. I would never go back again. It not worth what I paid and totally different with before.
I bought a fried shrimp po boy for $13 and a side of mac and cheese. The po boy only had 5 shrimp on it. The hush puppies were very good. The sandwich was ok. I lived in biloxi, ms and ate alot of shrimp po boys. When i looked at the Shells app and looked at the menu, the po boy was $8 with a side. When i ordered the po boy they said it was $11. When i asked why it was $13 total, not $8, they told me the price went up. Dont rely on the website menu
I was skeptical about eating seafood so far inland . But the food was AMAZING ! We had the steak and it was superb! Our waitress was soooo helpful and sweet! My mom got the low country boil and it was so tasty . I would recommend this place to EVERYONE WHO WANTS AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE! 😁😁😁 Seriously considering having my birthday supper here 😂😍 If I could give it 10 stars I would. Although its a bit pricey its so worth it .
My husband took me out to eat Friday night our first time going out to eat since all this mess started with the Corna virus. I really wanted some good seafood. When we got to Sea Shells Seafood, it being a Friday night I thought we would be waiting for a while. But we didnt have to wait very long and we were taken to our table. Our waitress was really friendly and she kept coming by to check on us. She did a great job. But what got me the owner came by to see how we were and we started talking and he even knew of the town we moved from, was totally surprised because most people I tell them the small town and the give me a look like WHERE? Just incase he reads this Thank you so much the service was great, food was delicious and the owner was really a wonderful man. I will sure be telling everyone that wants great food to come see yall
We have placed orders here in the past and have always picked up the orders ourselves. Everytime I have always checked my order and everytime we are always missing multiple items that they correct. Tonight we decided to order from Uber eats. Our bill was just short of $70. Once the order arrived, only one entree.... We were missing an entree, several sides, all condiments, and to go silverware. When I called the restaurant, they were both extremely unprofessional and rude. The female manager refused to give me her name, they wouldnt give me a refund, and the refused to give me any information on an owner other than it was owned by 2 brothers and a last name. The female manager kept putting me on hold and then telling me that one of the owner brothers was standing next to her telling her what to tell me, yet he refused to get on the phone. I have spent hundreds of dollars here in the times I have eaten out. They will not receive another penny ever! All of this could have been resolved if they had either 1 replaced both entrees, or 2 given me my refund. Buyer beware. If this is what a good paying loyal customer means to them, then they will reap what they sow... Also, the order we did receive was 9 very small sweated sea scallops with the breading falling off and 2 of the smallest hush puppies Ive ever seen. $70 for 1 entree that was inedible. We ended having to order food somewhere else. Still waiting on my money back that they refuse to refund. I will be following up with the BBB.
The food is good and the service is as well but the atmosphere is a little strange. There was a DJ blasting music in the small space the night we went (all genres) and then there was about 10 minutes of karaoke by some of the child patrons (singing Disney songs). Weird, fun?, weird...
Okay this is coming from me going to shells the first time ever. There was no wait time we got seated immediately (guess we came at the right time). The service was really good the waiter we had was on point I wish I could remember her name (but she has the tattoos and colored hair). The food was sooooo good thumbs up for that. For 2 pick 2 platters that comes with two sides a kids fish and fry meal and a half of pound peel and eat shrimp we spent about $54 dollars. The manager kept checking to make sure we were good. I really liked that. The whole experience was nice. The decor could spruce up a bit but most times that be the best places to eat! I would recommend this place to people because I really enjoyed my time there and the service was on point to me and Im really big about good service....because it is rare to find now.
I really did enjoy myself. The service was very professional and swift. The waitress are very friendly and helpful. The portions are very generous. The atmosphere is very pleasant and medium tone. The only thing I will say is they should improve the restaurant decor and beautify the front entrance more.
My family and I visited January 1st (3 days ago) and the food was outstanding. I have eaten here there several times and my grandparents and two aunts wanted to try it. Everyone was pleased with the food. Now I want to brag on our waitress Destiny T. Destiny served a party of 9 and she did an amazing job. Everyone food was correct and we didnt have any complaints. Anything we needed, Destiny brought it right to us. I would request for Destiny any time she is working while I am there. Thank you Destiny for having a sweet personality and nice attitude, we truly appreciated you that day.
The wait time isn’t up to standard. Wings barely carried flavor and the fries overly cooked. If my mom didn’t enjoy the crab boil my rating would be a one star. Prices are cool but too much competition for mediocre food. My waitress Mary showed professionalism and made sure she tended to our needs.
Food is Absolutely GREAT. It get very packed and theres no room. Its always a 1 or 2 hour wait. The price varies ALL THE TIME.. Small cups 2.50. The owner have made enough money to expand the place. Once he invest in expansion the place would be the number 1 SEAFOOD place in the Warner Robins area. Again Great Food by little space...
This is my third visit. Wow! This place has to be the best restaurant in the city. You would never think a landlocked city could have such awesome seafood! Its not only the seafood, French fries are perfect and crispy, hotwings are spicy with great flavor, fried pickles are crunchy a juicy at the same time.We went on a Sunday evening with a party of eight. It was really busy. The staff was on it. They are happy, and attentive. We had a waiter named Jason, we didnt have to really ask for anything. He kept our drinks full and had an awesome attitude.
I had a great experience here. The food was absolutely delicious with large portion sizes and they have the freshest raw oysters in Macon. My server was Tammie and she was personable, attentive, and a pleasure to be around. I will definitely be coming back. Also FYI there WILL be a wait because they are popular but it is well worth it. If you dont want to wait just make a reservation and walk right in 😉.
Shells need to improve customer service at the front desk not friendly or welcoming. The last few times Ive ordered and waited the 15 to 20 minutes as told over the phone the food has been warm and not hot.I wanted fresh hot food not warm food that was probably another customer order that they didnt pick up that was given to me. Spoke with a lead and nothing was done about it ,but a sorry its not hot and was asked did I want the food to be dropped again to be reheated.
First off let me start by saying that the Food Is Excellent! Everything has a great flavor. I was satisfied with the portion sizes and price in comparison. Staff was nice. Restaurant appeared to be clean. So now that youve hear the pros lets move on to the cons. The restaurant was small and there for cramped. Im people person but I hated being so close to other people. I also wanted to enjoy company of my party and I couldnt hear myself think let alone carry on a conversation. It was mainly due to a very large loud party set behind us. The wait for a table big enough for 6 was an hour due to the lack of large tables. Basically you have to wait for several parties to leave so that the staff can push 2 or three tables together. But other then that the place is great!
Good not great. While our server had a great personality, they have a few kinks to work out. One meal arrived 10 minutes before the others two and one of them was wrong.Still the food was good and the service, while slow, was cheerful and friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Everything was fine until I received my bill. Not sure when but the prices have changed on the lobster tails but the menu doesnt reflect it. When I brought it to the attention of my waiter he said they made the change not long ago and that it is now $12. Ok well the menu still states $10 and I have ordered one for my self and my child. It wouldve been nice to know prior to do that I could decide if I wanted to order them both. The manager came and stated the same that they have changed the price. To them it was only $4 but its the principle. The manager states that she would try to see what she could do. Are you serious? Honor what is on the menu you give out. It took at least 15 min for them to come back with a new ticket. All though the food was good I cant do business with people who cant honor their own prices.
Love the experience. Prior too ending up at Seafood Shell the three restaurants I ended up at, the wait was at least an hour. The service is quick and I mean quick, especially if you get a drink while waiting. Bartender on point and reasonable prices. Servers are great as well, you don’t have too send for them. And if your a music person this is the spot too be 👍.
Overall, I say the food is good. Not great, but solid enough to satiate your appetite that is overabundance or pricy. Overall, its food is above average. However, everything else is excellent. With its friendly atmosphere of a restaurant with servers that act friendly instead of the, I am here to serve you to make ends meet. Plus being one of the few seafood places make it stand out and be variable. Honestly, I give it 4.5 out of 5 for it is close to a 5 but falls a bit short.
Tried this place for the first time last night. We ordered the crab legs and shrimp low country boil and it was so delicious. The butter they put in it made it better. My only concern was my sons popcorn shrimp came out 10 minutes after we received our food. But he didnt seem to mind because he ate on our crab legs and shrimp until his food arrived. Our server was nice. Overall, its a good place.
My first time was good,I enjoyed the food ,service was okay. Ordered the shrimp dip the chips was from the bottom of the bag...too small to dip, No refills on beverages except when we was leaving asked for a to go tea. The food was seasoned well. Overall experience was okay, if you like seafood go, its a new establishment, they working out the kinks, I will return, but Im going early wait time was long. ......just be prepared.
Came here yesterday for the first time. I dont eat to much seafood in the south because it doesnt have that fresh taste. Destiny was our waitress. She, along with the food was excellent! I never thought Id have Mac n cheese better than my own. Even the grilled veggies were great! Catfish had more bones then what Im used to but that was good as well. My husband got the chicken Alfredo...it came with two sides!!! And the Alfredo was amazing! Will definitely be back
So I have heard so many good things about this place and decided I really wanted to try it. I paid $20 for my meal, just one meal. Then, it took them about 40 minutes to just make my food. I had my food delivered by DoorDash to my job. So then once I get my food, I take a bite out of my catfish, and I swear it tasted like they pulled it out of a dirty pond. None of my food was seasoned, and the best thing I ate was the hush puppies. I was not satisfied, especially for the amount of money that I paid for the little bit of food that I had gotten. Probably won’t eat again.
We went for lunch and we were seated promptly. Our server was pleasant and checked on us. The food was good. My problem is the atmosphere needs improvement. T.V. s throughout playing the Price is Right show?!!!! Prior to it becoming Shells it was a beautiful Italian restaurant. It still has the stucco looking walls and pretty sconces left from its former glory with an added seafood decor with not much thought put into it. My crab cakes were a little over done on one side. Garlic mashed potatoes were really good.
The food is usually good when I go but today was not the case. Me and one of my friends ate here for lunch and neither of us were very happy with the food or the services. Nobody greeted when we arrived or when we left. My friend was trying to let the guy who brought our food out that she had an issue but he blew her off and never came back. So disappointed today.
I ate at this restaurant on Saturday. I must say it was awesome. The food was fresh and the service was outstanding. I would recommend this place to anyone. I will be returning. The only thing that was not really great was the pink lemonade but this place gets 4 stars from me. Everyone should visit whenever they are in this area.
We went tonight, put our name in around 5:40. They were extremely busy. There was a party set up in front for 25( overheard workers talking about it) by the front window at 5:40. Only 2 people sitting there for over a hour. Finally around 7 they took some of the tables apart. We watched people pull up and park, get out of cars with their small children and wait inside for 10 minutes and get sat. Whoever was sitting door at this time wasnt even looking at the tablet, they would ask her about table and she would seat them. I asked her about this and her response was they signed in and they sit in their cars till they get a text. I wasnt born yesterday yesterday so dont blow me no smoke!!! Not worth the 45 minutes drive to try and eat there. While there we watched about 20-30 leave. Need to come up with a better system!
The service was ridiculously slow, and I ordered my food to go 45 before even arriving. My food was ready when I arrived but I had to wait in line almost 10 minutes for them to finish talking and laughing with group of customers in front of me. There were 3 girls at the cash register but only one was working. The other two were sitting there talking about the customers and wouldnt even move to help the cashier that was working. I asked for a butter sauce and it took 10 minutes to get that because the one cashier that was doing all of the work had to go get it after cashing out people behind me, even though she asked the other two girls to go grab one when I first ordered it, but they just sat there. The food was okay because it was seasoned well. There was no egg, and everything was dry. Thank God I waited on the sauce... I will not be back!
We were visiting and we were told to try this place, but that it can get super busy. I was able to find through Yelp that you can be added to the waitlist so we did. When we got there a few minutes after 7pm on a Friday, the place is not that large so I could only imagine what it looks like super packed. We were able to be seated within less than 5 minutes which was great! They were busy at the time, but not too packed. Our server was nice, but not attentive at times. She frequently checked on her other tables around us, but not us so much. We had a party of 5 and a half. Two people in our party had catfish and shrimp. They said it was okay, but certainly wasnt used to the entire bones being in the fish. Another had the blackened chicken alfredo. It was a large portion, but not very flavorful. The alcoholic drinks were okay. We noticed it began to get pretty busy during our time there and once we got ready to leave. Overall it was good, but not the best Ive had.
This place is on the expensive side depending on what you are after. Even so Ive treated myself there a few times now and they are consistently great. Have enjoyed their flounder, house fish (whiting I believe), shrimp and scallops have all been particularly enjoyable. The restaurant on Russell is clean and not in too bad of a spot. Their express location on HW96 keeps the food at the same level Ive come to expect in more of a grab and go environment if you happen to live on that side of town definitely let them cook dinner for your family one night.
My soul and taste buds doing the Happy Dance. First, cut your wait time in half by using the Yelp app! We got there, checked in, got an amazing house margarita made with Patron, waited 15 minutes and was seated, immediately greeted by our server. The oysters were the best Ive ever ever had. Fried whole catfish, fried shrimp, crab leg low country boil (crab legs a tad over seasoned) , cheese grits, slaw, and the famous garlic butter (you could slap that on a shoe and eat it). One of the most memorable and enjoyable food experiences ever. Staff was kind and attentive.
The floors are slippery with grease and the dining room floor looks disgusting it looks very unsanitary and is definitely overpriced for what you walk into. It looks like an old mexican restaurant that they are in the middle of Remodeling but quit in the middle of renovations. The staff are great its just a very unappealing place to sit and eat.
Tonight was my very 1st time here & when I tell you this place is superb...from the hush puppies to the lobster tail was cooked to perfection!!! Service was fast & very very great!!! Even the strawberry lemonade was just right!!! I only wish they had calamari, but still will visit here over & over again!!! I see why it was a little wait to get seated!!! My new favorite seafood place!!! Great job guys dont change a thing!!! See ya real soon!!!
I called to see if I could reserve a table for only 4 bc it was my husbands birthday. Although she said they typically dont do that on such a busy night, she allowed us to bc of the special occasion ❤ When we arrived, our table was ready and we were seated instantly. The 1st thing I noticed was the TEAM WORK throughout the restaurant! 👌 They all worked super well with one another. The place was very busy but our server didnt skip a beat. She stayed on top of our drinks and constantly made sure that we had everything we needed as well as went above and beyond for my children. She brought our ticket, boxes, & to go cups at the perfect time.. Our overall experience that night was AMAZING! Im very impressed with how well we were taken care of. It meant a lot especially considering it was a special event for us. So thank yall for making it a birthday to remember for my husband. We will return for my sons in August!!!
I waited 40 minutes for my food to come, but it was worth the wait. This was the best food that I eaten in Macon GA. I came down from Winston Salem, NC for work. Someone told me about this reasturant, and I had to have some! A little pricey, but what isnt these days. Good food, & kind servers. The only problems I seen their was, time to get my food & its time to expand hire more help. The place is too small for the business coming through there!
Tried to get in on a Friday night for the 1st time...shouldve known better. Too crowded and the wait time was too long...45 mins - 1hr. Others waited, we left. Not much space for seating areas. Will try again next time to offer a personal opinion about the food/service. Ques - Is this place better than The Juicy Crab in McDonough, GA?
It was my Birthday as We sat down We ordered drinks soon after , decided We should have went to Red lobster...told our waitress to cancel our order ,as We got ready to pay for our drinks the manger a long with another Employee came to our table. They asked what was wrong We then explained they We decided to go to Red lobster. The manger said Well have you dined with us before,We my son and I both replied No.He asked if We would vat least give them a chance. We stayed...AND CANT WAIT TO RETURN.IT WAS GREAT 😊😊😊😊😊.THE FOOD AND SERVER AND STAFF !!!THANK YOU Mr.Manager and the female that was standing with you at our table. He also gave me an incredible awesome slice of Cheese cake for my Birthday. Thanks for convincing us to stay.I talked about our meal and service halfway back to Stockbridge. Thanks once again 🤩🤩😘😘
Went there today 6-11-2018 for the first time and OMG... This place was awesome. Everyone was super nice and our server was amazing. The food... It was absolutely the best. The price was very reasonably for the amount of food. I will definitely be going back. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. ❤️❤️❤️
Heeeyyy guys .!! So I am a seafood lover!!! I had heard good reviews about this restaurant so I was very excited about trying it. The service was horrible. When I walked in that hostess were chatty like hens not bei g productive at all... the place is small so watching and clearing tables should be second nature. However she had to clean one off... No one greeted us at the table for SEVERAL MINUTES however the server DID HER BEST and my guest food took so long he sent it back! nevertheless I won be back...PEOPLE PLEASE CHECK OUT THAT CRAB PLACE IN MACON.. YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
Food quality was good. Waited about an hour for a table. Two people in the party. My friend got her food 15 minutes before me, and I had to ask for a manager. They sent someone over pretending to be the manager. I asked can I get my food. She said how sorry she was, but they were busy and sometimes food doesnt come out together. Ok, but 15 minutes! I done with Sea Shells.
Delicious seafood and fun beachy atmosphere. Very popular place, so wait time can be awhile. Waitresses aren’t always friendly - on the last visit, they took a long time to figure out who would seat us and who would find a high chair for us and serve our table. It took maybe 20 minutes between walking us to our table to getting the high chair and menus. We were standing up that whole time waiting on a high chair. Once they figured out who would take care of us, though, the rest of our visit was fine, and the food was very good. It’s some of the best seafood that I’ve had in our area, but their service and organization could use some work.
My friends and I had an awesome experience at Shells Seafood on October 25, 2017 around 1 pm! The food and service was great. The executive chef, marketing guy, and waitress made us feel right at home. We ordered the all u can eat fish and shrimp. Our food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We will definitely be returning with additional guests!
Food came out slow . We were served one by one . We were not able to eat together as a family. We were charged a service fee , nothing indicated such charge would be added and on top of that our meal was priced differently than what was on the menu. Casher tried to tell me that 38 + 38 = $78. Then she said oh yeah thats with taxes added. When I could see that the raxes are added to entire meal not individual items. I want be coming back here again. I am glad juicy crab is coming to Macon.
VERY friendly staff, VERY good atmosphere, VERY clean, and VERY delicious food. It was my first time visiting this awesome restaurant and I look forward to my next visit there. The low country boil was fantastic!! If I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would.
Pretty long wait and somewhat chaotic during however food was fabulous. I ordered the combo #2 Low Country Boil with crab legs shrimp and crawfish. The shrimp was sincerely some of the best Ive had. Cooked perfectly with great texture and freshest, sweetest flavor Ive experienced. Also, they must purge these shrimp live. Absolutely no grit or mud in their vein... in any of them! Great, sincere service and an interesting conversation with the owner before leaving. Yes, Ill absolutely be returning! BTW, even with such a busy crowd they still maintained a very clean restroom. I wish more restaurants took the same initiative!!!
I had the king crab pot with sausage and corn. I also had the gumbo, all of it was delicious, especially the gumbo. I went back a few times while I was there on TDY. I went to a couple other seafood establishments, but ultimately went back to seashells because to me, they are the beat in the area. Also the staff was extra friendly and helpful.
The first couple of times I ate here the food & service was awesome but something has changed and not for the better.I was truly disappointed this time. I ordered the Seafood Boil & when the food arrived, I asked for a crab cracker the waitress said she couldnt find one, I asked for a plastic bib, she said they were out of those also. She never attempted to locate me a crab cracker and I noticed the drink refill procedure hasnt changed, they take your cup along with everyone thats sitting with you to the drink machine to be refilled and they even do this with tea refills. Management truly needs to invest in some pitchers. I wont be returning.
I LOVE seafood & what I love about this place is that the food is FRESH! Yes, the food is a bit pricey, but you pay for what you get. If you want Long John Silvers prices, then you should probably go to Long John Silvers. Wait times can be long (especially on the weekends) & the waitresses are a hit or miss depending on the day. However, all new business have kinks to work out. Im sure that in time, this will be the best restaurant in town!
Me and My girlfriends eat here a lot! We love the place, unfortunately I’m giving 1 star because the service has gotten worse and worse while visiting tonight for my daughters birthday, we were told it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait and once we decided to wait the hostess caught a very nasty attitude as if she was upset we chose to wait. The Managers always says they are going to address it but never does, I have to file a complaint about customer service every time I’m here.
Great food good price a most go to when in Warner robins ga or I the area. A place that youll love and well worth the wait time, also have takeout. About a 30 min to 1hour wait. But a wait thats well worth it with a great atmosphere to wait in as well great vibes outstanding food.
I do not eat crab. I tried it 2 times at red lobster, it was disgusting. I tried it here, I am now a fan! This is the only place I’d get crab from or bring friends or family to. The only downside to that is I had to wait for butter and sour cream AFTER they brought out my loaded baked potato. Also, my friend ordered some food and hers was brought cold. She also had to wait for some butter. I was so full I had food to bring home so I was satisfied and the prices are reasonable.
This is the ONLY place in Warner Robins, you order a pound/half a pound, they give you exactly that! These other seafood places consider half a pound 2 crab legs, not even a whole claw. The food is good and so are the prices! If they had Sea Shells Seafood Restaurants stock I would buy that too!
I was not impressed. Food came out luke warm and was overloaded with garlic butter. Crab legs were overcooked and after all that the wait time was also too long. Also the meal was supposed to have shrimp included and there was none. The best part of the experience was our server Jason. He was on point with his smile and personal service! Thank you Jason. Jason is the only reason I can give a score higher than 1 star.
It took forever for our server to take our order. After she did it took about an hour to get our food. Then when the food got to us it was cold!!!! If Im going to pay as much as I did for the food I expect the food to be warm, the service to be quick, and to not have our server wait on us only once!!!!
The food was fresh and delicious. I has Oysters on the half shell and it tasted as if they just took it out the ocean. The crab boil with snow crableggs was amazing. The butter sauce could be marketed by itself. The waitress was on point. She made me feel like I was in a 5 star restaurant so I tipped ge 3o%. The happy hour drinks are the bomb. I enjoy the margaritas. I will continue to come to back. Its good to check the wait times and make reservations. Everyone there makes you feel at home. Thank you
Ive been here several times and the food is always good, the customer service is great as well but its kind of small and tight in the restaurant and they always have a full house.. They also have convenient takeout, you can order online and itll be ready when you arrive..
Giving this place a 1 star rating is too generous, but unfortunately it doesnt allow for a 0. A coworker of mine recommended it to me and said she enjoyed the food very much. My girlfriend and I were close by and decided to try them out. The wait time was 30-45 minutes, nothing out of the norm for weekend evening at any restaurant. The Yelp wait list the restaurant utilized was very accurate as to how many parties we had in front of us. At least we have one good spot in this review. We went back inside with 2 parties ahead of us. Shortly after a lady with her daughter in front of us became upset another party of 2 was seated before them even though they had been on the wait list longer. They left frustrated, but we decided to stay anyway. The hostess asked us if we would like to sit at the bartop table. We declined and said we didnt mind waiting a little longer for another table. She moved on to the next party. We thought they would be seated at the table we passed on, but they were taken and seated at another table in the restaurant. My girlfriend became very annoyed, but I still decided to stay and give them a try. The hostess sat another party of 2 at the bartop a few minutes later, then shortly after took us to a table at about 6:10.Our server was friendly and engaging, the 2 times we saw her. We placed our drink orders for a sweet tea and lemonade and also for the shrimp dip appetizer. We sat and talked for a while watching other parties be seated, have their food and drinks brought out, and pay for their meals. We even saw our server working other tables. Eventually a manager came and asked had anyone seen us. I assured him we already had our drinks and appetizer order put in, but we were waiting for them. A little while later our server came back, without our drinks still, and let us know our shrimp dip was coming out soon. She also went ahead and took our entree order, that we never got. That was the last time we would see her at our table. More time passed and the hostess came up to our table and asked us had anyone waited on us yet. We jokingly told her yes, someone had taken our orders. A different server finally brought us out our dip after traveling all over the restaurant with it. Still no drinks though. This was the last time anyone came to our table. The dip was just as bad as the service we had experienced. The dip itself was generic queso with sprinkles of rubbery looking shredded cheese on top. The few pieces of tiny shrimp that were in it sank to the bottom of the dip. I guess they were going for an authentic feel of fishing for your own food. The shrimp themselves were obviously frozen precooked shrimp that were probably brought from the Kroger in the same shopping plaza the restaurant is located in. They were overcooked and had a distinct freezer burnt taste. The chips were warmed up Tostitos Rounds that had been overly salted. Again, Kroger must have had a good 10 for $10 sale. We were very disappointed at the food. The entire time my girlfriend noticed the manager had been eyeing our table, probably noticing our frustration. I was ready to just pay and leave, but no one ever came to check on us anymore. Eventually we left cash on the table to pay for what they called an appetizer. We immediately left around 7:10 hungry and thirsty, much like when we came in.I will never be going back, and wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone. I cant really comment on the food, but based on the dip we had, its probably seriously lacking. The service has to be some of the worst Ive ever experienced. It seems as though the staff doesnt operate very well while its busy, so they definitely need to improve on that. I now have to question my coworkers tastebuds and sanity as well. I really wanted to be able to enjoy a local business and support it, but I cant remember leaving a restaurant so irritated and angry in my entire life.
Everytime I come here something always goes wrong. Whether its an extremely extended amount of waiting time or my order is wrong. Today I ordered the pick two platter and I was not informed of an up charge because of my two selections. The waitress waited until the bill came to explain the extra charge to me before I even got the bill. Needless to say I dont plan on coming back.
Came on 9/14 The customer service is AWFUL . The front desk attendants were laid out and seemed as if they did not want to work today. Their attention was WAYYYY below average and not welcoming or inviting by no means. I didnt even want to eat the food or order anything because the service was disappointing. if you dont care about customer service this is your place but I would not spend my money here.
It is a great deal for the amount of food you get and everything was seasoned deliciously! Also had great customer service even though something went wrong with our app, the OP manager Willie made sure we got something else for free due to the wait. We will definitely come back!
I do not recommend eating at this place. We were seated after 6pm the waitress treated us we gave our drink orders then ordered the shrimp dip. We waited for about 10 mins before the manager greeted us because our drinks still havent arrived and our menus were still in front of us. Another 10 mins passed still no drinks but we got our shrimp dip which was just store bought chips heavy queso with about 4 shrimp in it (which was also store bought) this appetizer was $8. Heres the kicker still no drinks which was just fountain drinks. The server walked past us several times and even came and took our food order still no drinks. We finally had enough left $10 and walked out. I do not recommend this place at all and truthfully it doesnt even deserve 1 star. We were there an hour and all we got was scrappy cheese dip with nothing to drink and terrible service.

2022-03-28The dining room and bathroom were both pretty dirty. I had the pick two with grouper and shrimp. The 2/3 of the grouper was mostly crust and salt with a thin little layer of fish. The other 1/3 was good. The fried shrimp was cooked well and had good flavor. I thought the tarter sauce was great. It had a slight remoulade flavor that was nice.

2022-03-24WOW!!! This place is incredible! My waitress was Mary! She is super sweet and very attentive. This was my first visit so she brought me samples of the sauce so I could taste them before ordering. I went with the spicy cajun. The flavor is super rich and full of flavor! She recommended a small combo which I got shrimp and crawfish. They shrimp was cooked perfectly! Super easy to peel and the texture was on point! The sausage, corn and eggs were all delicious. I truly cannot say enough about the flavor of the food and sauces. What made the restaurant most memorable was the excellent customer service offered by Mary. My order had accidentally been made to go and was sitting. When she discovered the mistake she had them remake the order and offered me a discount for the inconvenience. Honestly, had she not said anything, I would have never know the difference, as the food more than made up for the wait. Nonetheless, you will not find better service in most other major chains. Thank you Mary! Pleasure to meet you and looking forward to my next trip to Warner-Robbins, GA! Oh yeah...almost forgot. The oysters were fresh and served at the perfect temp with all the fixins!

2022-04-14Me and my wife only ever came here twice and the last time we came here, we only got the steamed Oysters. So, this review is mainly towards the Oysters, themselves.Overall, I thought the oysters tasted pretty good. They arent comparable to the type of Oysters Ive gotten in Atlanta, but if you live in Warner Robins these have been the better of the ones Ive had around here.On another note, the waiter took quite a long time to bring our waters. We had to stop her and ask about our waters, in order for us to recieve them. I dont exactly blame her for that, considering that she may have been having a bad day, but Im also going to have to include this in the review. All in all, the oysters were okay and the experience was alright. I wouldnt come here much, but I did enjoy the food.

2022-05-041st time here.Nykira was superb at her job! She was sooo very pleasant and attentive to our hour and a half stay. She offered great suggesting for dinner. Refilled our drinks before we emptied em. And continued her smile constantly. As the restaurant filled, she carried her happy energy to other tables. The bacon spinach cheese oysters were LOADED with cheddar cheese. Making these very different from the usual Rockefeller style. The fried scallops were a bit overdone but scallops are very hard to get right. The spicy coleslaw was different. The whiting and grilled scallops were a little better without the breading.Nykira was so great and made our visit overly worth the trip!If u stop in, ask for Nykira!!!

2022-06-19I made an online order for raw oysters and shrimp and grits. After arriving to pickup the order I was notified that I had to eat the raw oysters in the restaurant. That wasnt an issue ,but the site did not mention this while placing my order. While in the restaurant I waited about 25 minutes for raw oysters. The restaurant wasnt packed at all and there were plenty of servers in the front of the restaurant. Once I received the oysters I reminded them about my other half of the order. They acknowledge that it would be coming up soon. The oysters were great by the way. After finishing the oysters I waited about 40 minutes to get my shrimp and grits. One waitress kept coming by to apologize. Another lady came out of the kitchen to ask how I wanted my shrimp cooked. I told her whatever way was the fastest. She then left and came back a couple minutes later and asked what name was on the order. It was under my wifes name and then she went behind the register to bring me the food. Not sure how long the food was sitting there for, but I waited inside that restaurant for a hour and a half for shrimp and grits on a non busy day and time. Needs to be better communication there.

2022-02-13I’ve been here several times and always had positive experiences. I’ve even left a good review before. However, my experience today has been quite a disappointment. I try to have patience as I know places are currently short staffed, but they had plenty of people working tonight. Our waiter came right after we were seated and took our drink and food orders. My husband and I both ordered sweet tea. We proceeded to wait THIRTY mini without getting our drinks. The only reason we finally got them is because my husband stopped the waiter and asked if we could get our drinks. He said he forgot and went to get them. Tables that he had sat after us got their drinks and food before we had drinks. I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous. The food was good but at this point, it isn’t enough. I did also find a hair on my catfish so I just stopped eating that piece. After being here an hour, thirty minutes after getting our food, we sat with empty cups and never were asked if we wanted a refill. Ten minutes later he asked if we needed anything before we got our checks and my husband asked if we could get more drink. So disappointed. The manager checked on almost every table but ours multiple times. While standing at another table, she did ask if anyone had been to our table. I shook my head yes but before I could add that we still hadn’t received our drinks and it had been almost thirty minutes, she said, “I was just asking.” And walked away. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. Matter of fact, this is only the second one I’ve ever left. Won’t be back for awhile I believe.

2022-02-13Food was good. It always is. Service was lacking. Our server was nice, but inept. We got our drinks after 15 minutes of waiting. She didnt come back to the table until about 10 minutes after the food arrived. We finally got a refill as we were walking out the door. At the end of the meal when she brought the check we were informed there was a 3.5% charge to pay with a card. Nothing posted in the restaurant about this at all.
