I’m so sad to write this because I had high hopes and also the wait staff was amazing. Especially Mr. Reggie from the bar - I hope I got his name right - the mask really muffled the sound. He really was phenomenal. Unfortunately the food was not.The bread was probably the highlight - it came with whipped butter, pesto and olive oil. Super yummy. We started with the octopus, which was very chewy. There was one bite that I enjoyed, the rest wasn’t worth the calories. We got about 4 dishes - a linguini, ravioli, risotto and spaghetti. Also not pictured were the meatballs. To put it simply, the linguini tasted bland, the ravioli was hard and the seafood in the middle looked like it was from a can, I’ve had better risotto, the spaghetti was also hard & the meatballs were mush. If you like those things go for it. But in my opinion, for the price, these dishes need work.
I am writing this currently sitting by the toilet waiting to throw up. I’m texting the friend, who ate here with me, who is also sick to her stomach. Not a great ending to her bday celebration. Perhaps someone didn’t wash their hands or maybe the ingredients were old? The three dishes we tried were okay, but didn’t wow me ( we had the LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE, RAVIOLI DI FALSO MAGRO, and I think FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE) All very bland, not worth the money. I’ve had better pasta from fazolis. Maybe it didn’t taste good because it was spoiled? Whatever it is, it’s lighting me and my friend’s entire gastrointestinal system ablaze. It’s such a shame because other than the food there was a wonderful ambiance, we had a wonderful server, and good drinks. Those are the only reasons I gave it 2 stars. See pictures attached.
We dined at Serena Pastificio on a recommendation and could not have been more pleased - from the ease of the reservation, atmosphere of the restaurant, top notch service and delicious dishes from appetizers to dessert. We would highly recommend this restaurant and intend to visit again soon.
We love this place! Consistently EVERYTHING GREAT! Last night we sat outside and listened to the band, Bourbon Brothers, while drinking great wine and eating delicious food. Sydney was an amazing, knowledgeable server who made recommendations that we loved. From the hostesses, to the manager, and bartender, Jane, the servers were knowledgeable, pleasant and seemed to love their work and fellow team members - and their patrons. It’s an all around celebrating- life vibe and….the price point is perfect for the quality experience! I highly recommend this place! By the way… a meatball atop my Caesar salad was an extraordinary choice. Thank you!
Great place and food. I love the design and decor, its relaxation and intimate and comfortable. The food is great. We say at the bar and each had an ananas drop o drink, very sweet, and I had the Bolognese sauce and my boyfriend had the spaghetti. The staff was very friendly and approachable.I would suggest getting a reservation but we were able to get a seat at the bar.
Sydney was our server. I have to say she was an amazing person and brought to the table much more than just food. We shared a connection and a respect that you dont get most places. She was an amazing person and an amazing server. Ownership should really recognize her talent and how she benefits their operation... I could go on for paragraphs describing her kindness and thoughtfulness, but In a nutshell she deeply cared about our experience at the restaurant And we were grateful to her. Last but definitely not least had a slight issue with my stake...Will Fixed it no questions asked and took good care of me and made it right. Outstanding customer service ...he has it down to a T. I could not be more satisfied with his management and Sydneys service. 5 stars well deserved.
They have a lot of work to do. They were out of bread which meant we had nothing to nibble on while we waited for food, the food was lackluster, and we were sat in the back next to a service entrance, brightly lit, zero ambiance compared to the rest of the restaurant so I was really bummed as this was a special date night. The Kale and pear salad was awful, I had to send it back. Kale was raw and large stems attached. Literally inedible. My date had the Caesar salad and that was actually really good. Best thing we ate. No vegan options for me other than literally boring spaghetti.
Where do I begin?? We arrived for an early dinner and it was nicely empty. Maybe 3 tables seated inside and 3 outside. While the inside was so beautiful, we opted to dine al fresco. Next time, well come inside. Anyway, our server, Maddie (sp?) was super sweet, very attentive without being overbearing, and gave great recs. We started with the Caesar salad. It was so good, I wanted another. I ordered the mezzalune arigoasta or something like that. Basically lobster and crab stuff ravioli with lobster on top. When I say it was EVERYTHING... OMG! Hubs ordered the linguine with white wine and garlic sauce. Comes with clams. At first it was really dry. So, Maddie brought out some more sauce. Not very saucy. More like juice. Unfortunately, it was terrible! It was just overall a bad dish, so we sent it back. The server who picked it up wasnt our server, but she was super nice and accommodating and took the plate back, no questions asked. Shortly thereafter, the manager, Holly came out to check on us and we placed a new order with her. She was so nice! The fondutelle, I believe was the name of the dish?? Iono another ravioli dish. He got a side of grilled chicken, because this dish was meatless. OMG! This was so good, I had to try to make it at home a few days later!!! It was one of Maddies original recommendations. Anyway, after we finished our dinner and our bottle of wine, we ordered a round of cocktails -both super delicious- and then dessert. Whatever the chocolate mousse was, if you like chocolate, get that!! Beautiful atmosphere, fabulous service, amazing food and drinks! We will be back and SOON!
Really nice ambiance especially outside. food was a bit lackluster .. i had to send back what i originally ordered. maybe it was what i got because my boyfriend loved his meal. the meatball appetizer was fantastic! our server, sammy, was absolutely amazing! he was very informative and kind. even though i sent something back, the other staff members were kind as well. i would come back just so i can explore other things on the menu.
Outstanding. Our server mike was so nice and gave great advice about the food and the beer. The pasta itself is so fresh. We had the clam linguine in white wine sauce... Simple but amazing. I had the ravioli served with crab meat in lemon. It was incredible. Ambiance is lovely u can sit inside or on the terrace. Highly highly recommend it .
Went here a couple of months ago with a group for a company dinner and finally felt compelled to write a review.Decor and Ambiance: 8/10Food: 3/10Drinks: 3/10Service: 4/10Value: 3/10Decor:Decor is beautiful and tasteful throughout -- youll feel as though youve been transported to a majestic garden of Italian goodness. However, the positives stop there.Food:Pasta was dry and slightly above room temp. At an Italian restaurant, pasta should NEVER be dry. It tasted as if it had been made days before and had been sitting out for a couple of hours before finally being served. Could have made myself better appetizers and pasta in 10 minutes from pre-made Costco ingredients in the microwave. Not even exaggerating here. The only good part was the bread.Drinks:Drinks were VERY pricey, which is usually fine, but the taste needs to back it up at that price point. Drinks were single noted and lacked any complexity that you would expect at that price point. Might as well stick with beer.Service:When we went, there were staff yelling at each other about what to do about a tapped out IPA for 30 seconds while I was trying to pass through them, maybe discuss that not in public. Also make sure to double check your bill for water -- they served us bottled water without asking (the vessel could have passed for a tap/filtered water vessel) at about $10/pop. Thats about 12x the price of what gasoline is right now per ounce. Not cool and borderline scam. Yes, I understand the value of bottled water in a restaurant setting, but YOU SHOULD ASK EVERY TIME. They also sat the group at a table where we were literally scrambling to fit our plates at the table. If your booth seating is 12 feet long, your tables should not be 9 feet if youre planning on seating people along the entire 12 feet of booth. When this was brought up to the server, she pointed at the plates and gave a gesture that suggested hey if the plates fit...then you should be good. Guess what? Humans are larger than plates.Value:Everything is about 2x more expensive than it should be. Youre paying for the ambiance and a few good photos here -- nothing more.
Great new addition to the area - has some room to grow.Service was good but needs refined - water glasses often ran dry, also please stop having the staff deliver food in attempted Italian accents. The food was all good. And I think value for dollar is above average for the area. Will definitely return to Serena and hope as they get a few months under their belt positive changes will make it even better.
Came to get carry out and was told it should take 15 minutes by hostess.. 35 minutes later it came out, no utensils available. Got back to the hotel and the portion was appetizer sized. 2 entrees, no sides and a cocktail, plus 18% tip and it was $80. Still had to go get more food for my son. Salmon was really good though. Bar tender was very friendly as well.
The star is for the decor and the music.Upon entering the restaurant, we were pleasantly greeted and immediately seated. The location is beautiful and the menu items made it hard to decide what to choose. But, my daughter and I were set on starting with what we were sure would be a great salad, and waited for a server to come to our table. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, and with the exception of two other tables to the left and right of us, a patron dining at the bar and another party of 3 seated near a front window, the place was otherwise empty. We noted staff walking about and wait staff periodically tending to the table of approximately 5 near us, and bringing a check to the table of two who were about to depart. As, their table was cleared, we were certain someone would come to take our order.; so, we waited…and waited. After about 10 mins, in an attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt, we both surmised that the pandemic may have them short-staffed (despite observing a near empty restaurant and noting the re appeared to be sufficient staff); so, we continued to wait and wait and wait. No one EVER came to our table - EVER! After 20 mins, we left. The food may be wonderful, but I’ll never know.
A very nicely laid out place. The food was excellent and our service was great. I had the sausage fritatta which was very tasty although the potatoes were a little over cooked. The lemon tart was great for dessert. The Newton apple drink was awesome. It was a very pleasant experience.
The place is beautifully decorated and the food is good. There is room for the manager Will to have better customer service. Came with a group of 7 total to celebrate a birthday. Made a reservation for 1pm, and requested outside. There was only 2 parties outside and no parties inside. Will was at the door and quickly made up excuses as to why we wouldn’t be able to be accommodated outside, from there isn’t a table big enough, to we can’t rearrange the tables because they don’t fit together, even when we suggested being at adjacent tables and it was okay if they didn’t touch, and his response was “the tables outside don’t move”… ???… nonetheless we pressed on and we’re seated inside in a beautiful atmosphere and we’re quickly greeted by Mike and Austin and they took EXCELLENT care of us. It was Austin’s first day and he really was crushing it! Mike was so great, gave great suggestions and kept the drinks flowing. The food was overall great and the cocktails (Italian margarita esp) were top tier (shoutout to Kurt). They both offered to take pictures for us and provided a birthday dessert. Ending up speaking with Devin (sp) the General Manager to express the concerns with Will, he did apologize which was appreciated. My suggestion would be to avoid Will at all costs since he isn’t very helpful and clearly makes things up as he goes. So happy Mike and Austin were able to turn the experience around for us!
Went here for my birthday dinner and to celebrate with friends. The food was decent but from the first entree that got to the table it took another 30 minutes for my friends foods to come. By that time all the other food was cold and hard. We asked for bread and they told us they ran out but then we saw other waiters bring bread to their tables. They didn’t have a lot of the things on the menu, telling us that they ran out and don’t have it anymore but it’s hard to believe since they lied about the bread. They also charged us for the things that they told us they don’t have. Apparently they have no paper napkins?? They told us to go get it from the bathroom and use those? This wasn’t even the beginning though because when I was making the reservation the manager Devon was very unhelpful and not accommodating. He told me he wouldn’t add an extra chair to my 7 top reservation since it’s Valentine’s Day weekend and they will not be taking big parties. But I got there and it was barely even busy, many chairs available, and lots of big parties. The waiter also never came by and and was no where to be found when we needed her. This was probably the worst experience and worst birthday dinner ever. Definitely will not be coming back here for the rude manager and terrible service and mediocre food that they apparently all ran out of.
Thoroughly not that impressed.1. They led us, a party of 3, all the way to the back to a giant table and I guess were were supposed to share that table with a bunch of strangers? Like what the heck, we were dressed up and not ugly, why did they do that?! We had to request another table that was obviously open.2. The bread was foccacia and a tad dry. They gave us olive oil and balsamic but it was upon request. They said they would refill but they never did.3. Food: that spotlight dish with clams was DRY. Nuff said. The pesto and ravioli were alright, but quite SMALL portions for the price. We were informed that there is a new chef and sous chef.4. Drinks & ambiance: were fantastic...they can probably just cut out the food and feature themselves as a bar and be OK.5. Service: most servers were nice but they were not given the right memo about parking. They told us we would get validated for the full time we dined, and then 4hours of grace period after the point of validation. But friends were still charged $3 to get out of the garage, prior to 4hours.They should clearly write this out on their website to minimize confusion and questions.Overall I think the drinks and ambiance alone would be a 5, but when you add in the food and weird seating, it brings it down to a 3.
I went here with my girlfriends to catch up on life and we had a grand time.Things you should know:I. LOCATIONWithin Colony Square. When it comes to parking, you have two options: 1.) Valet and pay $5 or 2.) Park in the garage and end up paying what my friends paid.. $22 each.II. SERVICENo complaints. Everyone here is accomodating. I will say, the restaurant has a seating policy for reservations where EVERYONE in the party has to be present or you have to wait at the bar or their waiting area. I wish I knew this in advance because my friends are chronically 30ish minutes late. We lost our table.III. QUALITYFlavorful and presented wellIV. CAPACITYVery full and busy for a Saturday evening (as expected). Reservations help IF everyone comes on time like theyre supposed to.
Its Day three, since this restaurants opening and let me tell you something! Why you aint been here yet? I had an awesome lady to have a meal with right here yall, check out the pictures!Holly the manager welcomed us and made sure to check on us as well.Reggie, at the bar, makes you feel like you at your mothers house eating Sunday dinner. He is a true professional, and so the staff is what makes this place amazing. The food is amazing. This place is going to put Atlanta on Italian food lovers radar.Like a modern day Veni Vidi Vici. Veni Vidi Vici was the premium Italian restaurant on 14th Street in Midtown Atlanta, for many years!
Wandered into this place after visiting the High Museum. Its at Colony Square, only open for a couple of weeks. Its an airy, lovely place inside and with open concept, Italian themed. The best part to me was the friendly, knowledgeable bartenders. Reggie was awesome! His recommendations were on point. The Crudo Di Ricciola was light, delicious, perfect summer nibble. Reggie called it Italian Sushi. Hamachi fish on thinly sliced cucumber. Id go back for this dish.
Absolutely the worst dining experience I have ever had! We were all excited to be there but it quickly went downhill fast. We were seated at a 4 person table for a group of 6. Asked very nicely if we could get a larger table, we couldn’t even put a plate in front of some of our group. The manager was very kind and moved us after a small wait. When we got to our new table, we sat for at least 30 minutes with no water glasses, and the waitress came and irritated asks for our order but we had yet to even see a menu, so we asked for some, and they were thrown down at our table, as well as water glasses slid across the table. We finally ordered some apps, which had great flavor. But then was never back to get our meal order. Another 45 minutes goes by and the waitress comes by and tells us the kitchen is closing in 15 min, we need to order. She never asked for it! We finally order, by this time it’s incredibly late everyone around us has been served and we still have no food. We ask to talk to the manager and our food had still not even been entered in the computer yet. By this time, we just want to leave. No effort was even made to try to serve us our meal, no comps were given to even try to make things right! We were outraged, absolute worst dining experience we have ever encountered for fine dining.
We had a dinner reservation for 8 people to celebrate a birthday but were seated at a table that can only comfortably accommodate 6 people. We made it work by requesting an additional chair from our waitress and moving around. The service started out well. Drinks, appetizers, and salads came out timely but the service declined from there.Entrees came out lukewarm with multiple mistakes. A male server was rude the second time he brought out the same incorrect items. Those entrees took a while before it was corrected and brought out. One order of fettuccine alla bolognese didn’t have as much noodles and just a bunch of meat sauce as if the kitchen ran out and just served whatever they had left. All of the entrees were bland. The waitress cut the custom cake we brought into slices prior to asking or us seeing it without a candle, a single happy birthday from the staff, or the cake topper from the box. Gelatos ordered to eat with the cake were forgotten and we had to remind the waitress later when we were getting the check. We were told they could not split checks, and could only accept two cards. But watched as a party of 8 women dining near us were given individual checks and they accepted 8 payments for that party. We were also charged a cake cutting fee, that was later removed. All the issues were addressed with the manager who was slow to rectify the issues. He did acknowledge splitting the other partys check/accepting 8 payments but claimed it was the waiter’s mistake. But after the manager was called, there were additional unprofessional encounters with the staff and our waitress INCORRECTLY CHARGED ONE CARD TWICE.For the price you can definitely go elsewhere for a better dining experience. The service is poor, the food lacks flavor, and the staff is unprofessional.
I hosted 2 events at Serena Pastaficio -- a private dinner with 20 guests, and a reception with ~85 guests -- both events completely exceeded our expectations. For dinner we had a private room and 2 designated servers for the group, it was honestly the best service Ive had at any restaurant since the pandemic started, and for a group of 20 nonetheless. The food was UNBELIEVABLE, we had a more limited pre-selected menu because of the large group size, but every option from appetizer through dessert was to-die-for, no one left hungry. For the reception we reserved the entire outdoor patio space, and were given a private bar in the gorgeous outdoor area. Once again we had wonderful service, and great food & drinks. On top of all of this, the adjacent Colony Square area was very nice for pre- and post- event entertainment.I would whole-heartedly recommend Serena Pastaficio for anyone looking to host a dinner or reception in Midtown Atlanta.
Third time there and it was so bad with service this visit. $26 for a Manhattan and it was a half full coupe. I complained but wasn’t offered the rest of my drink. The service was scattered but friendly. For a $250 bill for 4, I expect stellar service. On the flip side, the kitchen knows how to make delicious food.
Unfortunately, we have to leave this review. We had high hopes for this fine dining restaurant. We went to this restaurant for my wife, and friends birthday celebration. We just wanted a pleasant experience, we didnt need anything extra, just decent - not even great, service. Thats all we expected. After being sat, and receiving our water, the waitress was seemingly non-existent. We spent our entire meal without drinks, rarely being checked on. It was aggravating because she seemed to spend quite a bit of time laughing and talking with another table, which wouldnt have bothered us, but her attitude was terrible. Comments were made, and she was extremely rude when asking questions about the menu. She was not friendly at all, not helpful, and acted like she just didnt want to be there or help.We chose not to speak with management (We were just ready to get out of there at this point - my wife was really disgusted with how she was treated) after reading the other reviews about how management treated prior customers with issues, we thought a review might be best instead, although, it doesnt appear that anything will be done. We spent quite a bit of money, which would have been no issue at all, if the service and food was adequate, but it was not even close to being so (Dont worry - we still tipped, we really shouldnt have, but did so out of respect - not that we received the same). We enjoyed some of our food. My food was great in certain sections, but other parts were really undercooked, and didnt taste the same throughout (The bread was really good, but half was really burnt, the other half wasnt). Everyone else thought the food was nothing to brag about. Its unfortunate because we had high hopes for this restaurant. Again, we dont expect anything over the top, just decent food, and decent service, but I cant say we received this, it was just inconsistent with inadequate, and rude service. We may try again in 6 months or so to see if they can get it together, but for now, we will not be returning.
Pros:- nice location, atmosphere- outdoor & bar seating area are nice- good & interesting wine listCons- lack of knowledge around wine menu- menu states to ask about vegan options, SHOULD state ask multiple times and confirm at every stageDidnt realize until the end of my vegan pomodoro that while my requested no parmigian wasnt on top, it was definitely blended into the sauce which I thought was garlic initially. They also make their pasta fresh so now I have no idea if the pasta offered to be as an option was even vegan. Disappointing that I brought it up multiple times and was still served the wrong thing.
Gorgeous restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Staff was really pleasant and attentive. They get the stars. The food was just bad. I had the kale salad and it was drenched in dressing and cheese. I love dressing and cheese, it just had no balance or finesse to it. it had a couple thin slices of pear that were nice, but totally out of balance with the rest of the dish. The true crime was the risotto. It had shaved parmesan on top that had hardened into a rubbery flake. The risotto was so peppery, it was offensive. it truly overwhelmed any hint of porcini and truffle, and just tasted bland yet assaulting at the same time. I couldnt finish the dish and it felt wasteful, but there was just no way I could eat another peppery bite.Perhaps Ive spent too much time in Italy, but I was just disappointed. I did enjoy my wine.
It was our 5th time having dinner at Serena Pastificio. It was a Wednesday, we sat for the first time outdoor. It was not too crowded and our waiter was perfect. The wine too. However, our food was not. The Polpo Arrosto was (very) chewy, the Cavolo Nero (Kale salad) was swimming in an extremely salty and creamy dressing, making it almost impossible to eat. The Cesare salad was great, and the Gnocchetti Sardi (pasta dish) would have been good if it not had been covered with very hot red pepper flakes, which were everywhere and killed the taste of the dish and made us cry.Hopefully, this was just a case of the chef having his or her day off.We usually dine at Serena Pastificio with 2 or 3 friends and our experience has been a hit or miss, with some dishes being very good and others really not.But we like the atmosphere and the decor of Serena Pastificio and hope that the kitchen will make some adjustments with time, since it is a fairly new culinary kid on the block.
The bread was the best part of the meal. The entrees are just bad. Bolognese tastes like what you get from a jar at a grocery store and they don’t cook their pasta to even al dente — way too firm and undercooked. Just not a good dining experience at all. Service was fine but wouldn’t come here if you want good food.
Came here on a Saturday night at around 8pm. The restaurant was busy, the decor and ambiance were really nice and the food was excellent. The service on the other hand was terrible. Our server neglected our table the entire night, and while our drinks were lingering at the bar for 10+ minutes multiple times, she was either folding napkins in an empty room (in the middle of a busy Saturday night rush??) getting back massages from another staff member or just hanging out and chatting by the computer. Super bummed…we spent $300+ and were treated poorly the entire time. Won’t be back.
Food, Service, ambiance, this restaurant has it all! My husband and I went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and they did not disappoint! The pasta was fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious! We were treated to glasses of champagne and a free dessert for a seating mishap. The front desk was super accommodating and the bartenders were awesome. This might be our annual dinner place to celebrate our anniversary going forward.
Not veg friendly and kitchen / staff was unwilling to accommodate - I came here for a work dinner, which was a set 4 courses, and asked if they could make a salad with no cheese as my salad course and they brought me a bowl of plain romaine lettuce, no olive oil no balsamic (apparently they don’t have balsamic which seems very odd for an Italian restaurant??). I did not get anything for a second course (other got cheese boards with nuts and olives, they could have put some nuts and olives on a plate for me), pasta with tomato sauce for my third course which was just ok, and nothing again for the fourth course dessert. Had the staff tried to be accommodating, I would have asked for some berries for dessert (they definitely had berries because I saw them on the chocolate dessert). The people need vegetarian and vegan options. It should not be challenging for a kitchen to throw a few tomatoes in a salad or a few vegetables in a plain pasta. It was very awkward when the group of 20 people I was with were waiting for my 2nd and 4th courses to come before they started eating and nothing ever came! Staff was not helpful.
This was an impromptu Saturday date night that I decided to plan for my husband and I as we love to try new places. The vibe was great and the interior was beautiful. Our server was very knowledgeable, gave us 5-star service, was very attentive and cheerful. This review does not reflect him at all.Drinks were wonderful and well balanced. The food is where we went wrong. Our entrees came out first and fast (within 10 minutes of ordering) which makes me think that they might have been pre made and sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be order. We did not receive our appetizers until about 10 minutes after the entrées arrived.I got the Linguie Alle vongole( Clam with white wine pasta) which was flavorless and had no body to it. I could not even taste the white wine in the sauce and had to add a packet of hot sauce(found in my purse) to give it any flavor. My husband got the bone in veal; which was undercook and we could not cut it with the Steak Knife provided, but we could cut the semi cooked parts with the butter knife better. The salad had a wonderful anchovies dressing, but the leaf of the lettuce were sliced so thin that it would have been easier to use a spoon to eat. The Polpo Arrosto was just ok and not worth the $27.All in all the food was not worth the price and we should have just gone to Rumis or Establishment for dinner before our movie.
Food never showed, no one checked on our party of two. Angry tables all around waiting for drinks, water, or a server. We sat at the bar, with 4 bartenders and took our business elsewhere when I realized we were asking for water for the 3rd time. The service is awful. Ordered a bottle champagne and it came opened and only had 2 glasses worth of champagne. Save your money, time, and irritations for a more worthful experience.
Great ambiance, we love italian food, but unfortunately it was such a disappointment in service and even our food. Waiter spilled warm water on my husband, didnt even apologize, my husbands food came out super salty, he went to change it out and forgot abt us and we didnt get his food for another 45 minutes after I was almost done with my meal... and they wouldnt even come by the table to check on us to see if we needed anything. Overall not a successful night out- im sad bc i was super excited abt this place. To top it all off after we left we realized they billed us incorrectly, over paid abt $100 :/
I recently celebrated a birthday and Serena Pastificio was the restaurant selected for the celebration. Prior to the evening, my bestfriend was in communication with one of the restaurant managers to coordinate a dinner for 12 people. We were told there would be a deposit necessary, which is standard and understood. Two days before the event, I put my credit card on file to hold the deposit for the table! The deposit ended up being the entire amount of the proposed dinner which was $1200. Explained as a $900 minimum and $300 in taxes and Gratuity. The day of 6 of the 12 guest canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The restaurant was alerted to the change in the party size 6 hours prior and advised they would update the accommodations to the new party size. Upon arrival the host advised the party had been moved from the larger, more decorated sitting area to a smaller area. My guests and I ordered drinks and begin to order food. We were alerted 10 minutes after putting in our orders that 3 of the items we ordered as entrees were not available and we had to make new selections. The bartender came over to our table requesting empty glasses stating the bar had run out of glasses. Once the meal had completed, no dessert was ordered. It was clear our table had fallen under the $900 fee for the table and were told I would be updated with a new bill. It has been two weeks and nothing has been updated! The restaurant reported a contract for 12 people to my credit card company. Not one email or call has been completed in reference to the request for an itemized bill from the evening. I am now stuck with paying over $1200 for a dinner that could not have reached more than $500. Terrible experience. I highly do not recommend Serena Pastifico.
Very RACIST! They were very accommodating to a white party of 8 women but not to my black party of 8. They sat us, a party of 8, at a 6 seat table but gave the party of 8 white women the largest table in the house. Double charged my credit card hundreds of dollars and cut a birthday cake before the birthday girl got to see it. Who cuts a birthday cake before its presented and admired? Our waitress was young and dumb. It was just one issue after another and the manager REGGIE made everything worse. Im never going back and I hope they get shutdown soon.
This is such a great addition to the Midtown list of restaurants! Nestled right in the new hangout spot of Colony Square, this place has a very vibrant atmosphere with modern decor and an incredibly nice staff. One other thing about the staff - I was very impressed with how timely they were being a new restaurant. Furthermore, the food and drinks were great (meatball app has an incredible sauce which they give you bread to dip with) and the pesto pasta exceeded our expectations! My girlfriend and I will be returning here for brunch with friends next weekend :)
We had a wonderful dinner here! Kayla’s service was awesome- great pace to the meal and she was so helpful with suggestions and pairings. The Bolognese was incredible, one of the best we’ve had in Atlanta. The Fondutelli was a creamy truffle dish with crispy leeks on top and it was delicious! The espresso martini is expensive but delicious and the wine list, while not huge had a great selection. We had both red and white! Would definitely recommend and come back!
5 stars all the way!! Went for a girls night; service was great. We came late after our reaer and they made a way for us to be seated. The ambiance of the restaurant was very very nice. I had the bolognese and it was very good!! One of my girls had the mussels and they werent that fresh but over all the food was good!!!
Really good service and food but with a few major setbacks. The calamari was very crisp and tasty, and was served with a really nice oil/pesto sauce. As for entrees, the ravioli with white truffle sauce was delicious, unique, and definitely the dish to order. However, the fettucine Bolognese was very disappointing. The dish was very bland, tasting as if there was next to no salt or seasoning at all. In addition, a Bolognese sauce should be tomato based, whereas the sauce here is pretty much just oil with a few clumps of bland ground meat. The pasta was also mushy and overcooked for that dish. Fortunately, all the other food was good, but I would not enough to justify the very high prices.
My husband and I came in last night just wanting a quick bite while wandering around colony square and was pleasantly surprised! Kayla was our waitress and she recommended some very tasty dishes and seemed so sweet! First she recommended some cocktails so we followed her lead with a round of Italian Margaritas then the Arrosto to start was AMAZING. I would come back just for that alone. The short rib was my entree and it did not disappoint and to top things off I had the “chocolate bomb” for dessert . Needless to say I’ll be back for dinner and twice more for brunch for their blood orange mimosa! The service was amazing and the decor is gorgeous! I’ll be planning an event here soon.
Dined at the bar. Food was flawless. Our visit was enhanced by the bartender “Jay” . Present but never bothersome. Food was exquisite.. bar experience great. Management while present , was preoccupied with vendor conversations? Global diner , wished. He may have said “ Hello”? Seemed inexperienced for the ATL market? However ..! All things improve in time. GO There it’s is phenomenal ⚡️✨💯
I’m not sure what these bad reviews are about. I dine out a lot and have been to places where the food was awful, service sucked and management didn’t care. This place isn’t it! Sometimes people are miserable and just look for reasons to destroy businesses especially after a pandemic (have a heart for gods sake!) Anyway, the spago, fettuccine, bread, drinks everything was absolutely amazing! The service was outstanding! Everyone was so nice and the management staff really hustle to make sure everyone is having a great time. Please give this place a chance. They opened during a pandemic and despite the current environment they are staffed and doing their best so please don’t let these miserable people leaving there *bulls** reviews deter you from visiting this place. You will not be disappointed!!
The atmosphere is nice. its modern/unique with cool lamps. however, the cocktails were poorly made. I mean like, undrinkable. not sure what the bartender situation is here. the food was okay, but not more flavorful than other italian restaurants in atlanta. sadly, I dont think well come back.
Normally, I would be forgiving with a new restaurant, however the service was not good and I could have made better food at home. My risotto was made as if the cook had never head of risotto and was challenged with making the dish and failed miserably. Space has a nice, clean, Scandinavian aesthetic but that was the only enjoyable part.
Really slow service. Between waiting to be seated and the delay in our waiter taking our order, we got our first drinks 40-45 minutes into our reservation. The food is good, but the service is just so bad. Either hire more people and pay them whatever you have to pay them or don’t operate at full capacity. I’d go back if it were properly staffed, but under current operations, no way.
Manager is the rudest person I’ve ever met, he attempted to put his hands on me. I was a customer who was just trying to pay and an older couple were harassing me about not have a mask. It turned into a altercation. Manager grabbed my card out of my hands when did the transaction, then threw my card at me and was told to leave.Funniest thing is through is that this nice restaurant was breaking several laws.Big one was - Illegally refilling liquor bottles using other liquor. If I asked for grey goose would I actually be getting that or some cheap liquor that’s just labeled grey goose?

2022-01-13Went in for a Birthday celebration. The staff was non·chalant and no staff member wished Happy Birthday or offer a dessert with a candle at end of the dinner. Service at the bar was Luke warm. The server at the table was great even thou there was no Birthday greeting or an offer for a cake piece. The Birthday boy was NOT happy.Surely not a place to celebrate a birthday. The food was great and the atmosphere and interior has been done tastefully. We ordered quite a few dishes to try them out. The lobster was cut up with gravy and onions. Not my favorite. The server or the person at the entrance did not ask for validation ticket. We had to come back and the door was locked but we knocked our way to it. (It’s not a fast food and we expect a reminder).Location : Inside colonyParking : $3 with validation. $12 plus without validation.

2022-01-15I really enjoyed the food here, and that was during the opening week so I assume its only gone up from there. The octopus was exceptional, and they had a great selection of wines with attentive and helpful servers. The prices were a bit on the high side compared to other comparable restaurants in Atlanta, but otherwise no complaints.

2021-12-14It’s a beautiful place but the waiting service is too long and the service could be better! Other than that, everything in the menu was splendid!! Would definitely come here again. I love the interior space and how everything was designed. I think the bar is the most special place within the restaurant. It’s a great restaurant to come with a significant other. Remember to get your parking ticket to be validated. Hopefully another location could come in town!

2022-05-09The Atmosphere was beautiful but the food was lackluster. We went during lunch and a restaurant was not busy. We ordered our meals thinking would get a decent size portion but two of the orders of ravioli or cold. When we asked to send it back they did not warm it up. They brought out the same cold plate. We had to order an extra meal to feel satisfied. It was overpriced for the lunch portion. Honestly disappointed.

2021-08-15A wonderful new Italian restaurant in Midtown. The menu isn’t too large which makes it easy to choose a dish. Their pasta is made in-house and it tastes fantastic. Our favorite part was the service. The hosts and waiters were really attentive and friendly and made us feel super comfortable. I hope they’re successful and I know we’ll be back!

2022-02-13Overall the food was delicious. However we were highly disappointed in our table. We made a reservation and had asked for a table in the main dining room as it was a special occasion. Instead we were sat in the back corner next to a host stand. We constantly had servers next to us putting dishes in a sink, entering orders, and picking up napkins and utensils. Our table was bumped into multiple times by busy servers. It really ruined the ambiance for the evening. If people are paying $100+ for dinner, they really should not put them in this location. We even asked the hostess if we could go to another spot but she said no. It was a very disappointing experience. The main dining room is beautiful and if we had been there it may have been a better experience.

2022-05-21The coffee selection was ok (my group had a cappuccino, a latte, and drip coffee and we all thought it was just standard ok). The dragon fruit cocktail was good (at almost $20 Id be sad if it wasnt)! French toast was the best part of the meal for sure with the French onion soup tasting yummy as well! The quiche was ok but only had a few pieces of ham that werent evenly distributed, which was disappointing. If youre looking for an aesthetic brunch this is great, but the flavors may not be worth the price for foodies.

2021-10-14This new restaurant is located in the new Colony Square renovated area next to the IFC movie theater. The location of the restaurant is really nice and will enhance your excitement for the area. Now for the food, I think the dishes were delicious. The Cioppino and Mezzelune Di Aragosta were delicious. Nice portion of seafood in the dishes and the flavor was really good. The ceasar salad was good and the anchovies were fresh. The wine selection isn’t large but a good selection of wines (especially Italian). The restaurant is definitely going to be pricey due to location but it is worth a try.
