So I booked a spa day for my wife Jan 19th for Valentine’s Day. We are staying in Blue Ridge for our honeymoon. We were very excited about the day with all of the positive reviews on google. When I called the lady was very nice told me all about the packages and the spa, even gave me recommendations for dinner afterwards. Well fast forward to Valentine’s Day and I call the spa a couple hours before appointment to confirm that they have a shower that we can use to get ready for dinner after the spa treatment, and we are told that there is no appointment booked for us. After looking they can not seem to find our reservation. I ask who was working on Jan 19th at the front desk and I am told they have no records of who works when? Then I ask how would I know so much about the spa and services we booked, and she laughs at me and says I just looked it up on the internet and that basically I am lying about booking an appointment and there is nothing she can do. I ask to speak to a manager and she says there is none available and one will call me back shortly. Guess what, no call. I can’t speak for the spa services because we never received them but customer service for whoever works the front desk when we called was terrible. But I guess they will never know who that was because they don’t keep track. Thanks Serenity for making our honeymoon so special 👎🏻..Update: I did receive a call later on from a manager named Tammy who was very nice and very apologetic. But unfortunately that doesn’t fix the bad experience we had.
Omg, this place is better than the reviews.Chocolate covered strawberries on a charcuterie board, at check in to our rooms. Our room is beautiful, and comfortable.Tub will swallow two people it is so large.Hot water on demand, is great. Our couples massage started with the bathrobes from heaven.Show up early and take advantage of a steam bath.Once ready, you are escorted together to the coues waiting area and given more strawberries covered in Chocolate. The massage allows for upgrades...do it it was worth it.My wife had a tea tree oil scalp massage, and I had the deep muscle oils used, wow. Then back to the steam bath, and a final shower.Worth every penny.
Girlfriend brought me here for my birthday. Wasnt sure about it when we drove up, but it is super nice! Suites are big and they gave us fresh baked goods for breakfast, a whole plate of chocolate covered strawberries (almost too many) and grapes and cheese, and a bottle of wine! Jacuzzi tub is fantastic. All this before even going into the spa! Couples massage was exactly what I needed. Salt cave was better than I thought it would be- super relaxing. Having a great birthday and will definitely come back!
Let me start by saying the staff were super friendly and awesome. Loved them. The facilities were gorgeous. But the signature mani/pedi my sisters and I got were definitely the worst I have ever gotten anywhere. Everything was fine until they did the polish. They didn’t remove the oil properly, so the polish never even set up complete on some of our nails. It literally smushed off our toes after letting it dry for a couple of hours. Not only that, but the nail tech who did my nails got polish all over my cuticles. The second layer of polish didn’t cover the first layer of polish, so it’s opaque in some places and sheer in others. I had chips before the day was over. Two days later and they’re so chipped that I’m going to have to remove the polish. It was such a disappointment. 😟 It was for my sister’s bachelorette trip, so we wanted it to be really special for her. Sadly, I would never go back here. At least not for a mani/pedi.
WOW. We were vacationing in Blue Ridge and decided to stop in for a couples massage. Not only were we able to get in the very next day, but the experience was incredible. It was a true spa experience you see in the movies. Very friendly staff with beautiful decor and relaxation/quiet rooms. Chocolate covered strawberries & pretzels, snacks, etc. The staff asked us to come early to change into our robes and shoes so they didnt impede on our massage time and we could relax. Locked lockers to put your stuff in, sauna, steam room, and everything you could possibly need in the locker rooms. 10/10, they knocked it out of the park! Must visit if you are in the area!
We booked a couples massage while visiting Blue Ridge on vacation. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and calm. The waiting rooms and locker rooms were wonderfully peaceful. We enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries and treats before our massages. The massages themselves were fantastic. Both of our massage therapists were so friendly and incredible at what they do. Definitely encourage a visit if you’re anywhere nearby.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day at Serenity In The Mountains. We got there late in the afternoon, so the lounge was a little crowded. However, when they found out it was our anniversary Kenna went above and beyond to make sure it was special. I enjoyed my massage, although my massage therapist was a little more chatty than I was feeling at that moment. We had a salt cave session to end the day. All and all I would definitely go back. Thank you everyone!
A little piece of heaven on earth! The facial was absolutely the very best part of my experience! It was a very relaxing couple of days. The suite was beautiful and very thoughtfully stocked. The chocolate covered strawberries were amazing, wine was very good also! I loved the spa setting, quiet, comfortable and plush. The salt cave was pretty chilly but just grab an extra blanket or two and it will be fine. It was a wonderful Mother / Daughter getaway and I highly recommend it.
Highly recommend! We had the most wonderful, relaxing day. We did a girls night package. It included a salt cave session, a massage, a facial, and a pedicure. And a night in the two bedroom suite after our spa services. Everything was incredible. The salt cave was quiet and relaxing. Every service was handled by amazing professionals. We were given robes and sandals to wear for the day and waited for each appointment in the quiet room. Low lights, soft music, tea, water, and snacks were all wonderful and a nice break spot between services. The locker rooms are spotless at all times. Restroom facilities, showers, lockers with a personal code, sauna, steam room, even toiletries are all available through the day. It was a much needed breath of fresh air in all the stress of daily life. I was able to read and rest and relax. The suite after was stocked with wine and glasses, a snack tray, and all the items we could have possibly wanted for a quick breakfast. Jetted tub, spotlessly clean rooms, and comfortable beds made the stay that much better. Close to downtown Blue Ridge and we even made a stop at Mercier Orchards before heading home. Definitely add this to your must do list for either a girls weekend or a nice romantic getaway!
I’m a local and have called twice to inquire about salon services. Both times the woman answering the phone couldn’t tell me anything about their salon services saying “all of the stylists have their own phone numbers I would have to call them. When asked for contact info was told to go to the website”. Recently I tried again, looking for a makeup/skin care lesson for my pre-teen & basic makeup done. Was told no. They can’t offer any of that. When I asked if they could refer me anywhere is was told to try looking for an Avon lady on google.
The owners of the Farmers Mark Lane insurance agency I work for treated the staff to a spa day at serenity. (Stepp Bailey is my husband) The other ladies had been there before and raved about it. I kept wondering why we would drive all the way to Blue Ridge when there had to be lots of great spas in Atlanta. But after going I can see why. We were treated like royalty and truly felt like Queen for he day! We got an 85 minute massage, ultimate facial and pedicure. Can’t say enough good things about each and every person I came in contact with. My massage was incredible, my facial was so soothing and refreshing and the pedicure was the best I’ve had in a long long time. Highly recommending driving the extra distance to experience the serenity spa!
Have taken a couple trips with mom and sister for much needed relaxation. Enjoyed massage and sauna. Prices are reasonable.Staff is very helpful. Havent booked the room for an overnight stay. Very quiet and peaceful spa. Definitely worth the drive.. They offer many different procedures I am going to have to try.
This was a birthday celebration stay and almost a 2 hour drive. This was my 1st visit to Serenity. The lodging was great. Its a rustic cabin vibe but a hotel. Chocolate covered strawberries, cheese and wine are provided. (However we had to run out to purchase a wine opener). Theres also a quaint gazebo to enjoy the sunset. My spa day started with paperwork and any upgrades to preference. I selected the deep tissue massage and marked the area as well as several upgrades. I received an erratic type of massage and the therapist was quite bland, I wont say negative but just bland. It was as if she was making sure to touch the checked boxes. However no focus on the area that was marked. She overlooked a few of my upgrades. It certainly wasnt any deep tissue massage Ive been accustomed to by professional massage therapist. It was serene but less than relaxing. My facial was however fabulous and serene!! She focused on calming me and had to apply an upgrade that should have been applied during my massage. I recommend Larissa!! The salt cave was the highlight of my spa experience, I strongly recommend!! My pedicure was traditional and Ashley is awesome with a positive spirit. The front desk could use some sprucing up on customer service. I strongly discourage once a customer has expressed dissatisfaction with a service, telling them its your most recommended staff, thats like adding insult to injury. A sincere apology and a wed like to ensure a better experience in the future would have been sufficient. People do have off days or limited society diversity. Overall it was a Great celebration not letting anyones limitations ruin my March Celebration
This was the nicest place I have ever been to!! My husband and I had the couples massage. We both didnt know what to expect, but it was so nice!! We were given slippers and taken to the changing rooms to put on fancy robes. For the womens changing rooms, there was ability to take a shower and there was shampoo and conditioner provided. There was also hairdryers and really anything else you would need. After putting on our robes and slippers we were taken to the couples waiting area and was given a plate with chocolate covered strawberries and pretzels. There was water and snacks also. Our masseuses took us to the nicest room where we laid near each other. After the massage we were taken back to the couples lounge to relax. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a day getaway.
Been going there for years. Most of the time for couples massage, pedicure & salt cave. Request a specific massage specialist due to my husband’s injuries. She is aware and targets those areas. Was looking forward to this session as always. Didn’t get the girl we asked for. Went to check out & book another session as usual. Told them during check out about the mistake & why she is specifically requested. Oh sorry, that’s $385. Needless to say, we didn’t book for another appointment. Sure felt like they didn’t care we’ve been coming for years. Just pay and be gone. Nope, work hard for my money. Expect a little more consideration
We had the best time ever. The couple’s massage was incredible. Dawn gave me my massage and Margaret did my wife’s. They were very professional and accommodating. They, along with the rest of the staff, are incredible assets to your company. I will definitely be back.
My husband and I went here yesterday to celebrate our anniversary. We drove over an hour to get there as we don’t live close. We opted for the couples massage and many things about the spa were done well. The check in process is fine. The quiet room to wait in and all the facilities are lovely and serene. They are taking Covid precautions which we appreciated. My husband enjoyed his massage. I opted and paid for a deep tissue massage and it was lacking. The massage was relaxing but it wasn’t like any deep tissue massage I’ve ever received. It really didn’t feel as if it released muscle tension or soreness and certain parts (the neck massage and the upper back) were just odd. I even told the therapist I have knots in my upper back and he didn’t address them at all. He never asked how the pressure was. I’ve had really good massages here a couple other times we’ve been but this wasn’t one. When I pay extra for a certain type of treatment, it’s nice to get that treatment done well.We left and tipped them well. That’s just how we do things and I didn’t want to make a big deal of it when we were celebrating a special day. It’s also hard to explain that it just wasn’t quite right. Ask a lot of questions about which massage therapist you’ll be getting and what their specialty is when you make an appointment. That’s my advice.
Relaxing atmosphere, incredible people who work there, and one of the highlights of our honeymoon. They were so amazing we have decided this has to be a once a year trip. We are from Atlanta and this was the perfect couples massage. The salt cave was such a unique experience and so relaxing. Definitely make time to come here and enjoy yourself. You will feel so pampered!
I went to Serenity for the first time today as a local to the area, and it was wonderful!! I had the mini manicure and a pedicure with Tracy (if I’m remembering her name correctly). She was incredibly kind, nice to talk to, and did fantastic on my nails. I will be returning in the future! ☺️
After a long and stressful 2020, a day here was exactly the kind of experience I was looking for. We did a full body 85 minute couple massage in the treehouse and had the most amazing time. The heated table, weighted blankets, and fireplace were among the special touches that made me know this place went out of its way to be extra relaxing. The sauna and steam room in the locker room were the perfect cappers to an amazing experience. Thanks ladies!
First time experience there. Been passing this place for years. Me and my daughter had a relaxing time. Very professional. The deep tissue message and the seasonal body wrap was amazing. Dont be in a hurry when combining these together. Very relaxing atmosphere. Being in the healthcare field, this was what we needed. Highly recommend this if you have extra money to spend. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Loved it.
Where to begin...? AMAZING! Always amazing. I love this place. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and highly skilled. I have been here a few times now and i am.never disappointed. Today Jody gave me undoubtedly the nest.massage i have ever had...and i have had many. I will continue to visit Serenity everytime i am here.
I had my first professional esthetician service at Serenity in the Mountains in Blue Ridge GA. The facility is clean and beautiful with an awesome experience as soon as you step through the door. Kristi did a #JetPeel service and I am impressed with the entire experience that was served with love. Thanks everyone! #spas #northgeorgiamountains #smallbusinessappreciation #selfcare #serenityinthemountains #esthetician
Overall a decent experience, but some disappointments. My husband and I waited for over 30 minutes to be retrieved from the waiting room, only after we asked an attendant to check on our reservation. The massage itself (we paid extra for deep tissue) was mostly rubbing. We also paid extra for a “scalp massage” which consisted of my therapist scratching my head and loading it up with product. It didn’t feel great at the time and I felt disgusting afterward, having no choice but to shower (thankfully the spa did have all the provisions for this). Note: paying for the add-on services does NOT extend your massage time. I do feel a bit ripped off.
My husband and I had booked a couples massage while on vacation in blue ridge. There was a party going on in the quiet room and it was super loud when trying to relax in the lounge area. I was told I could relax in the “couples area” but it was going to be in a different area because there was ANOTHER party in the normal couples room. I was brought to a tiny area with 4 rocking chairs and another man was in there waiting for his wife.. it was kinda awkward waiting in this tiny bedroom like area for my husband with this other man. the massage itself was wonderful and the therapist were great. I feel that they should inform you when booking that there’s party’s going on because it really took from our experience. I told my mother about this (she had got us the gift cards after having her massage the day before) and she called the manager. The manager who was there pretty much said that there was nothing that could be done. Next time they really just inform guests who are making appointments of this stuff going on! People are paying good money for a relaxing time.
I went to Serenity in the Mountains for my birthday trip and purchased the Girlfriend Getaway. One of my guests had to cancel, due to travel bans within the AirForce, and I was forced to tell the front desk this, the morning of our spa services. Typically there would financial consequences for a last minute cancellation, but the receptionist, Bobbie, was VERY accommodating and professional. Her customer service exceeded my expectations and I was very pleased. The masseuses, estheticians, and nail techs all made us feel welcome and important. I’d come back here any time, and plan to make this a yearly trip!
We have had the most amazing experience at Serenity. They pay exclusive attention to detail, and run an efficient and friendly business. They have gone above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The spa package we purchased was exquisite. My masseuse, Denise, has perfected her craft of massage, shiatsu, and reflexology techniques. Serenity is definitely worth the money! Only minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, and definitely a hidden gem.
Had a spa day with some of my gal pals. We havent been here is some time, and they have made a lot of changes. Was happy to see that nothing had changed in terms of wonderful service and great staff. From the woman who made our appointments to the service providers, all were wonderful. I started with an 85 minute deep tissue massage, and it was fantastic! My back and neck had been hurting a lot, and I had a terrible headache that day. By the time she finished, the headache was gone and I felt so much better. That was 3 days ago, and I still feel better! Then I had a signature pedicure with hot stones....so lovely. My feet are as soft as a babys bottom, and it is so nice to look down and see pretty feet! My friends loved their services as much as I did, and we are coming back in a few months to get even more services...highly recommend this gorgeous, rustic mountain getaway!
I booked with Serenity in the Mountains for a Girlfriends Getaway and we had the most wonderful experience! You cannot beat the price for the service you get. Our suite was spotless and homey and even came equipped with a bottle of wine, breakfast from Merciers Orchard, and chocolate covered strawberries/cheese for your stay! The spa was clean and quiet and the services I received were some of the best Ive had (especially the pedicure and facial). By the time the weekend was over, we were already planning our next trip!! I absolutely have no bad things to say about this spa and was thrilled with our stay!
This was my first time coming to this spa and I must say that I will be back! I have been to a few spas and I can say Ive had one of my best experiences here. I had three services, a massage, facial and body scrub. Each service was in a different room and you had a wonderful lounge area that you relax in with light snacks and drinks. When you arrive you complete some paperwork and then are taken to the back where you are asked my shoe size, given some slippers and a chip with a number on it. I was then escorted through the lounge area to the locker room, once in the locker room the chip and how to choose my own code for the locker was explained. In the locker was a nice big fluffy brown and tan robe. You change into the robe then wait in the lounge until your first appointment. The locker room had 3-4 changing rooms 2 bathrooms, a sauna area, a few showers and long counter with sinks, a large mirror and an area to dry your hair and or reapply makeup. My last service was a facial. She starts off asking about problem areas and if your skin is dry oily etc. I was then given product recommendations after and I purchased a daily cream which was a bit pricey. It was a 2.8oz tube of skin cream by Image Skincare Vital C for $45 dollars!. My total experience here was amazing I really enjoyed the lounge area where you can sit and chat with your friends between treatments of lay back and relax I will be back and bring my family to enjoy as well.
The room are wonderful and so restful. You are near donwtown Blue Ridge for shoppung and a grocery store (Ingles) is at the bottom of the hill. I had on of the best massages I have ever received. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeble in their skill sets. Very nice place to help recharge mind, soul and body.
My Aunt and I had an amazing girls day at Serenity in the Mountains. This is such an amazing place! It is the most peaceful and relaxing spa that I have ever been to. The amenities were wonderful, offered so much, and the room where you relax before/after treatments was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the best facial I have ever had in my life. I would recommend the Ultimate Facial! When you visit, the Salt Cave is a must. It was so unique and relaxing. I am going to be visiting this spa every time I come back to Blue Ridge!
Always a wonderful experience at the Spa in Serenity Mountains. The atmosphere is relaxing, private, and their amenities in the locker rooms are wonderful, clean, and delightful. You definitely loose track of time there. I’ve had a private massage and surprised my significant other with a couple’s massage and he loved it too. They always offer you peach cider after your booking and you are welcomed to stay there for as long as you like until closing. Will definitely go back any time that I can.
This is my 4th weekend trip to Serenity Spa. Its an annual sisters trip. I have never been disappointed. The accommodations, the spa, and the staff are all 5 star. We book our trip for the next year before we leave. Cant wait until next year when all the new services are in place and the renovations are complete. Thank you Linda for offering a relaxing, fun place to stay! See yall next year.
It was the most amazing experience across the board. The rooms are huge , very clean , decorated impeccably . the spa really surprised us. The staff is amazing and the service incredible. We enjoyed our massages so much today that we are booking two more in the morning. This may be the best spa experience we have ever had.
My mom came to visit me from charlotte and my son attended our third visit to the cave and we had it ourselves. As the recording came on to wake us from our sweet peace and relaxation we began to situate our arise and a young worker bursts open the door and begins to cackle and ask loudly multiple questions about our experience. The man was speaking on the recording as we abruptly had to get out, and get rushed by the entourage of employees getting ready for a massage session in the cave with all their arms full and standing At the door. I felt like we didnt matter to them at that point and were being hurried out. Prior to our session we enjoyed the coed waiting area downstairs and used the restrooms. My son was halfway down the stairs to use the restroom when he was literally yelled at to “stop, just stop right there she said, there are guests downstairs we dont want to bother.” Are we not valued guests too?
I love Serenity in the Mountains spa! I have been coming with girlfriends for at least eight years. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The only negative this time is it was very cold in the waiting room and in the hallways. Ive never experienced that before so maybe the heating system was in need of repair but, all in all, it was a 5 star experience! Ill be back in January with a group of 13 ladies! Cant wait.
2 times I have booked a massage for my wife for her birthday as a surprise. Both times I asked them not to call her because it was a surprise and both times they called her and ruined my surprise. They also told me both times that after they called her they saw the information in their computer that said not to call her. So if you are planning a surprise for someone I do not recommend using them. I will never use their services again.
Everything we experienced at serenity in the mountains—from the huge suite (the pictures don’t do it justice—it’s beautiful!), to the kind service by the staff, was top notch! The spa was beautiful and so nice, with beautiful facilities, and yummy snacks and refreshments! I’m a foodie, so the fact that the quality of breakfast and treats that they stocked our suite with before we arrived and that they provided for guests at the spa was so high, was super important to me! They treated us like we mattered and that they were happy to have us there, and you just don’t get that most places. I’ve also seen many spas and resorts trying to cut costs around every corner, lessening the overall experience for the customer, but that was not at all the case here! Just the opposite, it seemed everywhere we turned, I saw another way they went the extra mile just to make our stay so wonderful—like going to the local farm market to get us breakfast treats (and a non alcoholic drink in the room because of my dietary concerns)! :)
Yet another amazing experience at Serenity in the Mountains. The facility is a beautifully maintained and always growing with updates and improvements. This year we added the Himalayan sea salt cave to our half day spa package and loved it! Had a fantastic massage, cleansing facial and mani/pedi. Every employee was professional, welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to go back!
I think I had the first scheduled Deluxe Trio of the day, arriving at 8:30am. Everyone tending the desks were welcoming and attentive. I never had a question as to what to do or where to go next. I had my facial with Leslie and I wish I could take her home to wash my face everyday. I was extremely relaxed and my face has never felt so clean. I highly recommend her. I can’t remember the name of my masseuse, but I know she’s from Quebec and does an excellent job. She gave me the exact amount of pressure I requested and gave my body full attention. Her attention to detail was incredible, it truly felt like a treat. Lastly, I had Brianne (or maybe Brianna) for my mani/pedi and she was the sweetest thing! She did a terrific job giving my nails and cuticles needed maintenance. You could tell she cared about her performance. Overall, my day at Serenity in the Mountains was a vacation away from my vacation. A treat I will revisit if we ever travel back to Georgia. Thank you all so much!
What a gem to find on our Blue Ridge vacation! My husband and I were in Blue Ridge for our anniversary and on a whim decided to get a couples massage. I picked the one with the best ratings and was not disappointed! The facility is so nice and the staff was very friendly. The amenities were nice and this place has a very relaxing atmosphere. The girls that did our massage did a great job helping us relax and enjoy the experience. I would love to go back for some of their other services if we lived closer or ever go back to Blue Ridge. You will not be disappointed if you try them out!
My wonderful hubby surprised me with a half day spa package. It was my first time ever going to a spa and being treated like a princess. I had such an amazing experience I am already planning to surprise him with a couples massage (you can do it in a treehouse!) And facials! He totally deserves to feel like royalty the way I did! My hubby is the best and this place comes in a close second! =^.^=
My daughter (who is 16) and I absolutely enjoyed our experience. When you walk in it’s comforting and inviting. We got the couples signature massages. Oh my GOSH.....you have to get that package! It’s mixed with deep tissue massage with hot stone therapy along with relaxing music and a homeopathic smell. Then when they are done you are leaded into a relaxation room where you continue relaxing and maybe fall asleep. They have a sauna and steam room as well. A showing area and small snacks with this wonderful iced lemon water. Love this place....will DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!
Staff was friendly but would not get my nails done here again. I had my nails done 3 days ago and the gel is already coming off because my cuticles were painted over, making it easier to come off. Also, there are big blobs of polish on one side of several nails, and not an even amount on the other side of the nail.
I have gotten a 1-1/2 hr. Deep tissue massage when that was over I was so relaxed I was about a sleep. They dont rush you off the table, I give you about 15 minutes to afterwards. Also you can use the sauna and take a shower before you leave, if you wish to. It was a very good experience
Love the environment! Staff is always nice & friendly. I got my hair done (highlights, cut & style). The lady kept trying to talk me out of every thing I was saying, as if she knew what was best for my hair. I knew what I wanted but she acted like she didnt want to do it because she didnt like it. I got my nails done (shellac polish). My nails werent evenly painted, nail polish was lumpy & think in places on my nails.
My husband and I came for a couples massage for the second time for our anniversary March of this year. The warm welcome and friendly help that we received upon arrival was more than I could have imagined. The environment was warm, relaxing and the aroma was very soothing. The couples waiting room for the couples massage was very nice and also relaxing. The actual room for the massage was fantastic. Very rustic, warm both in decor and temperature as well as giving a real sense of relaxation and well being. Our therapists were fantastic. We were so relaxed and felt very tranquill. I highly recommend the couples massage for any couple wanting a fun, relaxing and intimate time together.
Wow. Came here on my honeymoon and everything was absolutely incredible! The people are great, the massages are amazing, the facilities are always updated and VERY cool, and the experience was second to none! Cant say enough good about this place. If you need some TLC and relaxation, Serenity in the Mountains is your new jam.
Ive used many of the services offered at Serenity and have never been disappointed. Everything is geared to pleasing the clients--the interior decorating, the warm welcome always received, efficient check-in check out,and the delicious peach cider served in champagne flutes is always special. The place itself is located conveniently off 515 but once inside one might think they are hidden away in the woods...quiet,calming and relaxing..The best spa in North Georgia!
This facility is so nice and relaxing. Cant say enough about this place, except I wish they would have explained the amenities to us when checking in. We accidentally, from another visitor, found out that we could have gone to the spa area complimentary every day we stayed there! That would have been so nice! There was a huge, active wasp nest (4 in diameter) in the outdoor sitting area that we reported twice. It was still there when we left! Hoping they heeded to throw away the wholy inflatable mattress we slept on. Every 30-60 mins we were having to air it up... that tile floor is so hard when sleeping on it😲.
We didnt visit the spa, but we stayed in one of the rooms. The room was recently renovated and was very quiet and cozy. The bathrooms were very luxurious, the shower HUGE, and the kitchen was modern. My only complaint is that the couch and recliner in the living area were dated and broken. They seemed out of place with the rest of the furniture which looked fairly new. The manager did have the recliner promptly fixed when we asked, though. So, perhaps we just had bad luck.
Scheduled for a deep tissue massage, was told by the young man that his hands would let him know where I needed pressure. My massage consisted of being rubbed with his forearms, I paid too much money for something I wanted and didnt get. I called three times to speak to Tammy about the problem only to be told she wasnt in. For the amount of money it costs to go here, you should get what you pay for and I didnt! Would never recommend this place and will not be back.
I booked a couples massage through email a month in advance of our trip to Blue Ridge for me and my husband. When we arrived they had us fill out the information form and change into robes, but had us wait in separate waiting rooms. After about 20 minutes the woman who seemed to be the manager in charge asked me who I had booked our reservation with. She asked me to pull up the email, but my phone didnt get service. She said they didnt have a record of our appointment and printed out her email correspondence to prove that I was wrong about having an appointment. We changed back into our regular clothes and left, a full 30 minutes after arriving, having no spa treatments. When my phone finally got service I found the email that clearly stated we had a confirmed appointment for that day and time. My husband was so frustrated that the woman was rude, he brought the phone back and showed her that it was their error. They did not offer to give us any sort of discount or free service, just offered to reschedule, at which point we had no desire to give them our business. The managers attitude was the tipping point, she could use a refresher in customer service. We are pretty understanding people, if she had just admitted her mistake and made an effort to make it right, we would have had a completely different experience.
OMG!!!! I have lived in Blue Ridge for almost 5 years and I just came here for my first time last week! WHAT A GEM!!!! The minute you step inside you are treated like royalty!!!! The space is very rustic/cabiny, true to the location, but this offers a new type of charm that would be a cool touch for out of towners. Throughout your visit you may be amongst other clients, but your experience is very personal and private. There is a waiting area where you can enjoy light refreshments and a very relaxing atmosphere. They offer lockers, showers, steam rooms, a sauna and other great accommodations to help you prepare for the service you are getting. The entire place was SPOTLESS. There were people available to clean, answer questions and attend to any need you may have during your time there. I had a 55 minute massage. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Very private. Very calming. From the private room to the smell, the music, the lighting, everything was set for complete relaxation. My massage therapist was OUTSTANDING. She hit every area just right and was very attentive to my needs while respecting my privacy. I cant say enough about this place! It was an AWESOME, FIRST-CLASS experience and not only will I most certainly be back, but I plan to purchase gift cards for friends and loved ones in the future!
Have been here 4 times and always wonderful! This time, however we arrived and did not receive the refreshments( chocolate covered strawberries, cheese, donuts, etc) in the suite like we had the previous 3 visits. When i called to ask, the front desk lady all but laughed at me for expecting them! She told me they only came with packages. This has never been the case before and if we had known we would have eaten before we arrived! I am taken back at the way the situation was handled and how I was patronized by the front office. I will think twice before I come here for a fifth time! Shame on them!!
Growing up locally, I have been familiar with Serenity in the Mountains for years. I have been in here and there for services. Recently I had a facial and pedicure with my girlfriend and was blown away. I do not think that I have ever been so relaxed. The spa is immaculate and the staff was extremely courteous. For guys hesitant to visit a spa, I HIGHLY recommend this one. I loved it and will definitely become a regular :).
Everyone is very nice, and the atmosphere is nice.... the mani/pedi we both got werent along the same quality u would get at such an upscale resort . My feet were peeling the next day and within 2 days our mail polish was coming off in areas. Im surprised they dont do any kind of designs there. I guess for almost $700 for 2 people for their half day plus an extra service added on for both of us, Id have expected more. The other services were great but compared to the price, I would have loved something that had a residual comfort. Nice but pricy,..not sure id day it was worth no long it will take to pay that charge down. :(
The rooms are spectacular and the staff is exquisite. We have come from Florida twice in six months for the wonderful services and attentiveness of the staff. The owner is hands-on and committed to creating a relaxing and serene environment. This place never disappoints and we will continue to book.
You get what you pay for. Its pricey, but worth every penny. Wife and I did a couples massage. Masseuse listened to where I said I was hurting at worked those areas very well. Left feeling great. The guest locker rooms and bath area was also fantastic. Everything was clean and flawless.
I have been going to Serenity for years!!! Hair, Nails, the whole 9 and they are the most cheerful relaxed people I have ever come across!!! You can tell they love their job and want to help you! Oh and if you have never tried the Girls Getaway I highly highly recommend it!
This is the first massage Ive ever had in me and my husband do a couples hot stone massage it is a first-class the best massage ever and the people in the place theyre very nice and very clean and I highly recommend we will be going there again we paid $260 for a 85 minutes hot Stone couples massage
Terrible visit. My wife has been there several times and had a wonderful spa experience. We gave our Son and Daughter-in-law a gift certificate for a getaway weekend. When they got there they told them they had a gift certificate, but the attemdamt, charged their card. That took a bit to straighten out. The free breakfast was some fruit and pastries from the Ingles across the street. The pastries had ants. My Son complained and the same greeter said, that happens sometimes. Their massages were great and the room was well appointed. The greeter was generally unpleasant. They were told there would be no one there on Sunday so they would need to settle their bill on Saturday. Go there for a massage, but I wouldnt recommend the lodging. Unpleasant and incompetence makes for a poor lodging experience. Such a shame. We are trying to figure out if the uppleasant person was the owner.
The most wonderful place to go for a relaxing spa day!!! Facial, massage, manicure and pedicure...treat yourself to one or all!!! Then enjoy some quiet time in the relaxation room (wait till you see it!!)...sipping tea, coffee, lemon water, or their wonderful peach cider!!! Make it a girls day or just pamper yourself!! Husbands/significant others...gift cards are available...do a couples retreat!!!!
Room was very nice and welcoming with snacks and drinks that were more than expected, room was very clean and robes for every guest that were wonderful. Spa services were top notch. only complaint would be noise level coming from above our room at times and very early in the morning.
The services were very good yet was disappointed of so much chatter in “Quiet Room.” I told two staff ladies to see if they could quiet them and they did nothing. I walked out of the room and asked a third person who apologized and moved me to the couples quiet area which was more peaceful prior to my services.
Don’t bother with their website, just call them for info or reservations. Accommodations are above and beyond. As they say, the only thing missing is the mountain view. They’ve thought of everything for their rooms. There are locally sourced snacks, milk, wine, etc complimentary in each room. The spa services and facilities are top notch. Conveniently located just minutes from the Mercier Apple Orchard which is also worth visiting.
Enjoyed a weekend of pampering with my daughter and daughters in law at Serenity In The Mountains. Went on referral of friends who loved it but I had no idea at how fantastic it would be. The suites were amazing with comfortable beds and amazing bathrooms with tons of room. Décor was beautiful. Booked the Girlfriend Getaway and arrived to a fabulous platter of chocolate covered strawberries, grapes and crackers and cheese along with a bottle of wine. Included also was an assortment of muffins, fried pies and apple cider donuts as well as fruit, cereal yogurt milk and juice for our breakfast in the mornings. The spa treatments were amazing - wonderful relaxation spaces, and many options for treatments - we had massages, facials and mani/pedis. No rushing between treatments and opportunities to enjoy the sauna and steam room as well. Very affordable and an absolute great experience. Plan to return and spread the word to friends.
Serenity in the Mountains Spa was just what the name refers to - serenity! I went there on a bride-to-be weekend with my daughter and her friends. It was great! They enjoyed the time of bonding. These weary mother-of-the-bride bones needed the wonderful treatment that I received at this beautiful, serene place nestled in the beautiful mountains of Georgia.
My husband and I have been to this establishment several times. This by far was the worst experience we have had. Massage was great. It was the before and after treatment that we received that made us more tense than when we went in. We came here for our one year anniversary in hopes to spend time together. There wasnt a couples waiting room available so we were separated for the first time. My husband was then given female shoes and told he had the size he asked for, when he requested they be replaced. Shouldnt have been that hard but for the staff, they just couldnt believe they made an error. Massage, went well although my husband didnt recieve a neck warmer because they were out so he had to lay on his back for 30 mins without one. Afterwards we were again told that they were out of the neck warming supplies. Then it happened, when going down the spiral stairs, we were met with the news that there were no couples room avaialbe and we would again have to desperate. We were not even given 3 minutes to enjoy out time shared as a couple. We were also told that I could sit on the couch downstairs because It was on the mans side. I wad then just told to go to the womans room where there were no seats and many people on their smart phones. At this point I just wanted to leave. Stress doesnt even begin to explain how disappointed and devastated we are. Thanks for ruining a large part of our anniversary. Not even an apology from the lady downstairs. She shrugged and said... Were busy
My experience was awful, and would not recommend to anyone really. Initially it appeared very nice, there was a large sitting area very comfortable. The facial was good, but the manicure and pedicure I felt very rushed. To top things off walking back from the other side of the building wearing a bathrobe that was provided to me to the locker room to get dressed and they turned out all the lights down a long corridor, and it was totally pitch black, which gave me severe anxiety. When I complained they laughed it off telling me about another time it had happened to someone. I was not laughing and my already not so good experience turned out horrible. Now it is pitch black outside and some employees were outside and said that takes a lot of fu----- nerve right there. Not sure if they were referring to me or not, but hearing it just topped the whole disaster off.
I had my a prenatal massage, facials follow by hair it was all great not only that I was spoiled from my hair stylist she had to do some research and watch videos mixing color to get close to the color that I ask for I highly recommend this place and would like to thank my stylist Carmen.

2022-02-16We made an appointment while in Blue Ridge for our anniversary. We had the couples massage and it was very relaxing. You arrive early, you change into the most luxurious robe. Then they have a men and women relaxation area and one specifically for couples, where you enjoy chocolate covered strawberries before your massage. After the massage, we had their elixir and was told we could relax in the sitting area in the room we had just had our massage for as long as we like. In the dressing rooms they have a sauna, showers, and makeup/hair area for the women.

2022-02-16Not much on the outside but inside is gorgeous. Very professional & organized. After checking you someone leads you to a locker room & youre always lead where you need to go. Relaxing rooms for separate gender or a room for couples to sit together in front of a nice fireplace. My facial was wonderful & relaxing. We wish we couldve had massages too but they were all booked since it was for Valentines day.

2022-06-17My cousin and I were visiting Blue Ridge, GA and based on the ratings we saw online, we decided to book at this place. When I called to make the appointment and spoke to a lady on the phone, I thought something was a little off, but I didnt want to make a big deal about it.. After arriving at the place, I had a question about their add-on services, and I received somewhat of a curt reply and was a little taken aback. The massage itself was good - both massage therapists did a good job. After the massage was over, we headed to the ladys locker room to shower and change. The locker room attendant (or whatever her title is) seemed irritated because my cousin placed her belongings in the wrong basket after taking them out of the locker. We immediately removed them out of the basket, but it didnt end there. The attendant was folding the spa towels as we were using the mirror and sink to wash up, and she was acting as if we were in her way and we felt that we had to rush out of the room. I noticed then that she followed us out of the locker room and into the exit room to pay for the service. Thinking about it now, she was probably there (in the locker room) to watch us..Even as we left this place, when we were paying for their service, we could definitely sense the hostility.I would finally like to point out that I have been to many luxury spas in Atlanta, Houston and other states. I work for a very large corporation, and we get spa gift cards and group outings as a reward and recognition program. I have never experienced such hostility in any of the spas I have visited before.I would NOT recommend Serenity In The Mountains if you are a person of color and/or have an accent.

2022-05-11Overall the spa was very nice. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The relaxation room was nice. We chose the quiet room which was more relaxing. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There were 3 of us in my party. We started our day with a spa pedicure. Out of all the services this was the worst. If I could rate my services individually I would give the pedicure a 2. The nails were not cleaned and trimmed, the filing was lack luster. There was now massage to the feet or legs at all. The polish used supposedly contains a base already so no base was applied. My polish was lumpy and only lasted 2 days. Lastly, they don’t used traditional pedi chairs put have you climb up to a shelf like seat which is extremely uncomfortable. Next service was facial. This was the best service hands down. I came out very relaxed.I would give the facial a 5. Next was a relaxation massage. This was in no way a massage it was more like touching in all the check off areas. It wasn’t horrible but nothing similar to any other massages I’ve ever had. He never even touched my neck and shoulders. I rate the massage at a 2.5. Lady was the salt cave, while I’m not sure I got any real benefit I can say it’s a good way to end the spa day. It’s very calming the room lighting was beautiful, it was very cold but they did provide blankets. We ordered a charcuterie board and it was very nice. Only thing was we had to ask about it. It had been set up in another room and we were never told it was there whenever we were ready. So overall not a bad day and I would recommend the spa but make suggest you voice your expectations upfront. I do not however recommend the pedicure service.

2022-03-28I had an amazing massage by Tabitha. She was courteous and kind and really listened to what I had going on with my body. She was able to perform an 80 minute deep tissue massage without causing pain....something that never happens for me! She made my experience so enjoyable and I will 100% be back to the spa because of her...and also cuz the place is amazing of course! Thank you so much Tabitha!

2022-03-16Great place to relax while on vacation. Loved the spa pedicure, feet and legs felt nourished after the cold weather dried out my skin. Then tried the salt cave and breathing so much better. Its a must try to help with inflammation too.
