WISH I took pictures of our food. After waiting for more then an hour and spending over 100$ on take out. Out of the 3 meals 2 were half eaten and thrown away. It was very fishy smelling and cold. Shrimp and grits were to thick and had a watery taste, the salmon spin wheel was dry and fishy tasting the only thing that was eaten was the fish and chips which my son 17yr son ate. The dipping sauces were half full and probably wouldnt have done any good anyways. As a foody It wasnt worth the money or trip.
My wife and I made reservations abd they got us in early so it was a plus. It was empty and the set us inside. The bar area looked fantastic so they set us in the back which looked like where they feed the servants. Appetizer ( pork belly burnt ends ) was good, it had a good flavor. For the main course my wife got the filet of beef and I got the cowgirl.ribeye. the mash potatoes was cold the ribeye was bland .the best part of my dinner was the broccoli. My wifes filet of beef was above average and her potatoes was cold and asparagus was pea warm. I did let them know and the owner came out and apologized but I felt he just wanted to get rid of us and all I wanted to do is get out of there. Save yourself some money and just go to Texas roadhouse
Hands down the best hidden gem in Augusta, to the staff, service, food and ambiance its the whole package. The upstairs is beyond sexy and a wonderful enticing experience. The menu is paleet seducing and their rotating items keep ypu coming back for me everytime. I frequent Sheehans a lot and always recommend Sheehans to anyone I know. Get in an experience a top notch time!
I have never felt more racially profiled in my life then I did tonight at this restaurant! My waitress publicly humiliated me in front of everyone stating that she couldn’t serve me a drink because I seemed “drunk “ after severing me and my co workers the same exact drink she singled me the black girl out and for that I will never eat here again and will make sure that this goes PUBLIC!!
I came here upon recommendation from a very dear friend and I am so very glad I did! I have been to pubs all over Ireland and the UK and I thought the Fish and Chips here were decent contenders. I would recommend Sheehans and I will be sure to return next time I am visiting Augusta.
My dinner was superb. I ordered the Catfish Louisiana, which was blackened catfish with sautéed crawfish and mushrooms over grits. It was simply fantastic! The ambiance was quiet and private. A very nice place to go for you and that special person. I will definitely be back.
We started with soup, my wife had the french five onion soup which was fabulous and I had the shrimp bisque. We shared the Duck with roasted vegetables. And it was amazing.Next time we want the Australian lamb shoulder. We cant waitDesert was fabulous but all I can remember is a cookie with ice cream also fabulous.
The food was excellent. My wife and mom had Fish and Chips with a cup of Shrimp Bisque, I had Catfish with crawfish over grits and a side salad. I also tried a Bloody Mary.. Unfortunately it was lacking in flavor, celery, Worcester, horseradish and pepper. The server was excellent! Overall a good experience.
Absolute best restaurant experience ever. We had an event for my moms 50th birthday here and I don’t have enough words to describe how accommodating they were and how flexible and easy to work with the owner was. Of course the food was delicious as well. Favorite restaurant in augusta!
Loved this place. Took my daughter and son in law for first time. Sat at the bar because we didnt make a reservation. Best move because bar staff was very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. We had 2 beef and tuna plates. My daughter is dieting so she ordered a second meal. It was salmon this time. Yeah I know she has always been impulsive especially when she Is enjoying herself. I highly recommend this restaurant it really has that neighborhood feel and amazing food plus excellent staff.
There was a group of seven so the waitress automatically gets gratuity we waited for an hour before she finally came and got our order for appetizers and drinks. I hate to think it was because of our race but other people get their food before we did and we were there before them talked with the owner and nothing was done she still got between $5 and $20 from all of us even though she did not help us at all
Fantastic restaurant! We had the scotch egg, spicy shrimp, and fried oysters for appetizers. They were all good and the shrimp was amazing. I had the roasted duck and my wife had the surf and turf, they were all good options and duck was perfectly crisp. They also have a wonderful bar and Guinness blond.
My wife and I have been three times, and it really is a great restaurant. Rustic on the outside and nice on the inside. The main attraction is the food, best in Augusta! The chef has really hit it bit with all his dishes and the wait staff is top notch. They take reservations and it is recommended because it fills up quickly. Located in the hill section of town and near other shops. Take the time to check out this restaurant, you wont be disappointed.
Sheehans is one of the go to local restaurants for great food and drinks. They do not have an overly broad menu, but still plenty of variety to pick from. Their shrimp & grits are wonderful as is their duck. My favorite is the surf and turf (6 oz. Filet, 5 fried shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus) while my wife prefers the salmon. Their desserts are just as delicious as the rest of their food. Stop on in and give them a try! You wont be disappointed.
This is more gastro restaurant than Irish pub it seems to me. As such, it is a very good restaurant. Excellent adventuresome menu, nice enough to make me want to return for a 2nd visit. I enjoyed their take on catfish for dinner. Very good. We did top off our evening with Irish coffee which was spectacular.
I went here on St. Patricks Day. It was extremely busy as expected, but we got a table fairly quickly. The drinks were fantastic. Some of the best shrimp and grits Ive ever had. Only disappointment was that there werent any traditional Irish dishes offered for it to be considered an Irish pub.
Picked up an order to go. 4 fish and chips. fish tasted like tofu. no taste at all to the tune of $75. I had to approach a waitress in the corner to find out where to get my order & she pointed me to bar. The bartender came out 5-7 minutes later to place 2 bags in front of me and said Ill be right back. She went to ask the latest of the Elderly Martini Drinkers lining the bar, what she would like to have, fixed her drink, served her and then came back to take my money. First and last visit for me to this establishment. Pricey. Hope other items on the menu are better than the fish and chips.
Mary was our server and she was excellent. The staff here at Sheehans are the best in town. They are always friendly and they know every item on the menu, how its prepared, and they are always willing to make a suggestion if you are having a tough time making a choice. I selected the Lacquered Duck and Mary co-signed it.
The other dish was a Catfish Louisianne. Also delicious. The service was excellent and the hostess, in particular, was a huge help. The funny thing is - you would never guess this place was an Irish Pub if you hadnt read it on the door. But dont let that stop you. This is a good spot.
This is the kind of place you go because of tradition, special occasion, or to impress a date. Not at all what I was expecting when I decided to go to an Irish Pub. The food is good, but in small portions, with a hefty price tag. The wait staff is excellent. There is a decent selection of wine here.
Where do I start....we started off with the Vietnamese spring rolls..very tasty just not enough. I then ordered a cocktail What shes having what a refreshing drink. Our waitress was absolutely awesome and suggested putting a little fresh cracked pepper in the second drink...great suggestion! My dinner was superb. I ordered the Catfish Louisiane, which was blackened catfish with sautéed crawfish and mushrooms over grits...AMAZING!!!!!
Staff is great and the setting is pleasant, but my meal was nothing special, and the price of it was way to much. Im sad to say Ill never come here again because of that price tag. 8oz steak, 5 shrimp, 1 small alcoholic drink = $45. If the food was to die for then Id come on rare occasions, but it wasnt anything I couldnt get somewhere else for half the price.
A great vibe make this classic, local, upscale Irish pub and restaurant one of the best places in town. The fun and lively bar area or the slightly quieter upper indoor patio are each unique and great. Our food and service here have always been top notch. For a place known for being a pub, Sheehans has excellent food and service that make it a top Augusta spot.
Love the mussels! Been going here for years, the food is always good, menu doesnt change much, but a great pub close to home that feels authentic. Check out the shillelagh above the bar mirror and try a Scotch Egg with a pint Guinness or my fave Smithwicks. I tell anyone visiting Augusta to try this place.
While the food was great and the service was decent, this is supposedly an Irish pub there wasnt a single Irish dish on the entire menu!! The only thing Irish was the guiness, the atmosphere, and maybe the Scottish egg. No Shepherds pie, bangers, guiness beef stew, corned beef, literally nothing!. Had swordfish, it was good. Like bonefish grill.B imagine going to a Chinese restaurant and there being no Chinese food. This was our experience at the most NON-Irish Pub around.
It is not an Irish pub! Dont go there thinking that or you will be disappointed. It is however an elegant pub with good micro brews selections and a reasonable wine menu. Me and my wife were upset thinking it would have Irish food (none, actually has spring rolls as an appetizer) but we do go here for drinks and oysters/mussels! Great pub and quite place to relax with a date.
First off, its not in the least bit Irish, but from my point of view thats a point in its favor. The food is high-end Cajun, and exceptional (based on the two things I tried). Pricey for the area, possibly, but cheap compared to a similar places where I live. What let it down was a surprising lack of southern hospitality...I was just about tolerated, as a single stranger from out of town. Everywhere else Ive been in Augusta has been just the opposite. Maybe its the neighborhood, which is an odd mix of mansions and shacks.Anyway, if youre not alone, by all means give it a try. Beautiful place, great food.
Really packed, foods really good but inconsistent. Its more of a bar than a place to eat. The patrons are generally rude and lean on your table/chair while standing around drinking. It gets very loud and is really expensive. For the price youd expect more quality and less bar.

2022-03-06Delicious! Sheehans Irish Pub is a hidden gem tucked away on Central Ave in Augusta. The food is fresh with friendly service that feels very much like a small town family restaurant. The Rosemary Chicken and the Filet were both amazing. To top it off they offer an array of homemade desserts that were a pleasant surprise because they are not listed on the menu. If you are a cheesecake lover then you must visit. The prices are on the higher end, but the atmosphere, variety of high end meats, and good flavors are worth the price.

2022-04-05One of the best kept secrets in Augusta, Georgia. From the Fish and Chips to the AMAZING Drive Through Burger - you wont be disappointed. I even asked them to toss a fried egg and some extra bacon on that burger - HOLY MOLY it was awesome!! Their fresh cut home fries dipped in ranch dressing are to die for. Cant say how good it is, you have to try this for yourself!!

2022-05-25Really tasty food, even the grits were good (that I would normally hate). The only disappointment here was they were out of Scottish eggs.

2022-06-06I went with a group of 6 friends and Neal was our server. He was AMAZING. So attentive and friendly. When a to-go order was forgotten he and the manager Zeb were so apologetic, comping the meal and giving us free shots to make up for it. We over stayed our welcome and we’re the only party left in the restaurant. They didn’t rush us out or act inconvenienced. They struck up conversations with us and made us feel at home. The food was PHENOMENAL. If there were more than 5 starts, they’d deserve it!! Absolutely recommend going for a great drink, food, and hospitality!!!

2022-01-04What a great place to have a warm and great dining experience. We met some friends here for dinner and drinks. The environment was cozy and not overly loud that conversation was difficult. The food was quite good and the drinks cold. The 4 stars comes from the server bringing the wrong items to the table 3 times (2 drinks and one salad). I would still return and enjoy the atmosphere and good food.

2022-05-05Not sure if it was because we had a large party or not but the service was pretty bad. The food was not nearly as satisfying as I had hoped. We had members of our party not get their appetizers until after some got their entree. And when they finally came with something the waiter slammed it down, practically threw it down in front of her. Many were left visibly angry. My dish was partially cold. My rice was dried up and old. I probably won’t come back again.

2022-02-06Just went for appetizers and some beers. Great bartenders, met the owner, very nice also. Scallops and the pork belly were delicious. Also had their chocolate lava cake which was really good also.
