Friendly staff and great atmosphere!! Stopped by for an art show and stayed for the afternoon. Definitely recommend and will return!
I love this place! It has something for everyone - large variety of beers on tap, mead & wine. The owner, Adam, was nothing but delightful to me & my friend when we came and sat at the bar. He was informative about their beverages besides just being an attentive and engaging bartender! Ordering garlic knots as a snack from next door was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!
Visited on my recent trip to Atlanta. There was a very large variety of beers on tap(Good mix of local/national) wine, ciders, and several different meads. The bartender was extremely helpful and social. I loved the atmosphere of the place as well; had a very speakeasy type of vibe going on. It was awesome to see the staff constantly intermingling with guest and encouraging feedback. MUST GO!!!
Cody, Adam and Kellyn are so welcoming! They always have great options for craft beer, wines and of course their very own mead! The building is beautifully decorated. I love being able to go, and feel like I’m at home while sitting on one of their couches. They do a great job of trying to help out their community by hosting art shows, comedy shows, etc. If you’re in Marietta and looking for a chill place to have a beer and some laughs, I would highly recommend Shezmu!
Amazing selection. Always thought I hated all beers, but they managed to find some I actually liked. Bar staff were attentive and gave great recommendations, and were happy to give samples. Music is awesome, atmosphere is laidback but refined—it’s comfortable, but also is no dive. Visiting from PA, and already excited to come back during future visits.
Drink choices for every type of drinker from mead to craft beer to seltzers to non alcoholic wines. Bartenders do a great job experimenting to find you the perfect drink while being friendly and fun to be around. Comedy shows, art displays, live music - you can’t go wrong on any night of the week. I’m here often and it’s one of the coolest spots around. A must for tourists and locals!
Awesome place with a ton of options for any palette! They have a great selection of mead, beer and wine. The staff is super friendly and will help you find something to your taste! You are welcome to bring in your own food as well. They have local artists work featured on their wall and fun games to play while you drink.
Shezmu is a delight in every way. They offer a vast selection of craft beers, local wines and, of course, the mead. The crew is welcoming and the place itself is wonderful to hang out with friends. They have games from corn hole to water pong and everything in between. Local music and other entertainment is offered on the weekends. Even artwork from local artists each month is featured on their walls. And if you are hungry, great pizza and more comes from Night Owl next door. You really cant ask for a better local hangout.
The mead is fantastic, and their selection of wines and beers is well-researched and large. Cody and Adam are kind and knowledgeable. Shezmu hosts fun events like comedy nights and art shows. The atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back. Highly recommend!
Ive never had a bad time here, and anyone Ive ever brought here loves it! They have 30 beers on tap and a huge wine list that should make pretty much anyone happy. Their meade selection is great too, including the in-house meade they make here. Ive heard some great things about the events and art shows they have too, definitely check them out! 12/10 would recommend.
Great selection of beer, great team, great spot. Owner always looks for things that intrigue him. Ask the crew whats exciting to them, or roll the dice for something new!
Lots of drinks on tap (even if you aren’t mead crazy like me). Naunet, their flagship mead, is delicious. One of the best meads you will find out there. Perfect amount of dryness with tons of honey flavor and super crisp. My banana, which is a hopped mead with a lower abv, is very good as well. It drinks like an IPA with very mild IBU’s, but isn’t one note like a lot of IPA’s. Has a complex and delicious flavor that you just need to try. You are missing out if you haven’t visited this place.
Cody is always pleasant to chat with and the beer of course is wonderful. Cant wait for another visit via the marietta beer bus. I think were going to have to get a bigger bus soon!😆
Went originally to buy a piece of art but the bartender was sooo nice!!! Went again for a friend birthday. Was so much fun very mellow atmosphere. Bartenders are friendly and helpful with selecting something you will like!! Mead Mead Mead!!! Not a lot of places carry it or make it so duh!!!! Thats fantastic!l right there!! They also sell local art!!! Got one of my fav prices there!!
I love this place so much! We spent New Year’s Eve here, had our mixed bachelorette/ bachelor party here, and honestly we’ve spent sooo many weekends here. Wonderful atmosphere, so many great games to play, food is supplied by the pizza joint next door and is just great. And don’t get me started on their drink selection: tell them what you like and the incredible bartenders will find something just for you. Cannot recommend this place enough.
Amazing and friendly staff! Beer selection is delicious, but their mead holds a very special place in my heart. So glad to have this spot close by and highly recommend to any beer lovers.
A fun and relaxing atmosphere. Since they dont brew beer or wine (they brew Mead!) then that allows Shezmu to sell beer and wine from other brewers...so...you get a GREAT selection of local and non-local beers/wines AND house made mead! Also! You can order food (Pizza) from Night Owl pizza in the same shopping center and have it delivered (walked down to you)! Good times...
Shezmu is my go-to place! Always friendly service thats welcoming and knowledgeable. Like that they have beer, wine, mead, and water :) so there is something for everyone. Enjoyed trivia pre-Covid so hope that comes back. Bought some of the coolest art pieces from a couple of their events Delicious options for food within walking distance. Cant say enough wonderful things! Check it out, you wont be disappointed!
I was pleased to have something fun and different to do. This place has a great atmosphere, it was clean and very friendly. They dont have food but allow you to bring food in which is cool. Limited drink selection, but I am not a wine or beer lover. The comedians were a bit rusty from being out of work for a bit. Will go back and hope for a few more laughs.
Super yummy meads and a wide variety of beer and wine! Very fun and relaxing atmosphere. Love meeting up with friends here after work and ordering Uber eats or grabbing tacos and the taqueria next door (they let you bring outside food in) and enjoying delicious drinks. Great little spot in Marietta. 👍
Love Shezmu! Been many times after either being in a show, or seeing one, at nearby Out of Box Theatre. The employees are always friendly, helpful, and make you feel like a regular even if you aren’t! They often have live music, and you can order food from nearby and eat it there while you have your drinks.
Went for axe throwing and Megan did an amazing job teaching me how to throw, being there when my party needed and had an awesome personality! All around a fun experience
Shezmu Cellars is a collaboration of two great dudes that have a passion for wine, beer, and mead. They showcase some wonderful made house brews, and some of the best craft brew makers in the country, The atmosphere is warm and inviting.
Great drinks for Georgia wine lovers, mead haters (or lovers), draft beer jockeys, and flight enthusiasts. Only place to taste and get a bottle from far away vineyards. 10/10 will go again!
Honestly the lack of service was what killed it for me. One bartender was flirting with another woman at the bar not paying any attention to other customers and the other two seemed to be flirting with each other. Management didnt seem to care either. Im disappointed because Ive heard great things about this place.
Amazing place I visit when in the area with great selection of wine, mead, & beer. I dont like beer but they suggested a mix of 2 that I actually enjoy so be sure to ask for recommendations.
I just met Megan, Amy, and Morgan. And they are the coolest. And they have axe throwing. I highly recommend it and Ill be back again!!!
Nice atmosphere, friendly bartenders, and extensive selection of wines and beers. I highly recommend the Sweet Sally and Apfelwein for my sweet wine drinkers.

So disappointed. I love mead and this place has terrible service and terrible mead. I visited on a Thursday and was ignored by the bartender and the product was awful. Do not recommend.

Had such a great experience! I came here with a ladies group for the chocolate and wine pairing event and really enjoyed myself. They had a great selection 👌🏼. They were very thorough with explaining the ways to hold the wine glasses, how to sample the wine to let the taste flow and the types of chocolates to pair it with. Overall, highly recommended a event gathering with the ladies or a day date.

2022-04-28Me and the wife came here as an impromptu date night and we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with an robust beer and wine menu and a very charismatic bar tender.This place seriously rocks. They have awesome beers , a great ambience, and axe throwing.It’s definitely a place where you can be engaged from start to finish. Axe throwing comes at 25$ per person per hour, but realistically after 30 minutes I guarantee you’ll be tuckered out.You can refresh at their bar where they’re super efficient and have more beer choices to fuel your throwing arm.Wines were decent, but I would recommend the mead instead.Go for the mead, stay for the ambience and fun

2022-03-19Love all the drinks, the service, the people, the events! We attended two comedy shows and they were hilarious and a super cozy small atmosphere where you are close and involved in the show. The bartenders rock, they remembered what we drank the last time we came and are super friendly! Its bring your own food and you can bring whatever you want to eat. They have tables and are super accommodating.

2021-03-27This a great place tucked away in an industrial park off the loop. They have local wine and local craft beers. Even if you are not into the fermented beverages, they have non-alcohol choices that are craft. We will return.

2020-10-11We threw our parents a surprise party here and everyone had the best time. The live music was amazing! His name was Jordan and i cannot say enough about how great he was! All the girls working were so friendly. They helped us set up, kept our drinks filled and the vibe was amazing! They even let a few of our guest up to sing and even a few bartenders sang a few. Great time had by all! Thank you thank you!
