Good barbecue. They messed up our order a little but it was still wonderful. Love that fried okra!
Great place to eat.Sometimes a good restaurant can have a bad day.Most of the time the food is good but there are times Im not satisfied with the food.THIS IS NOT THE CASE WITH SHORTYS.IT IS ALWAYS GOOD!!!On average I stop by SHORTYS 2 to 3 times a month for the last few years. I have never been disappointed with the quality or quantity of the food.Besides the BBQ be sure to pick up their salad. Im not much of a salad person however the way they put it together is perfect.

Food was delicious! Service was timely & friendly. Items I like are bbq sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken salads & my new fave the bbq fries! A small is enough for a meal!
We were so disappointed. Read all the great reviews so went there for dinner. The only thing I can say is that maybe their friends are doing these reviews. The rolls, french fries were good, and the coleslaw and mac n cheese were pretty decent as well. However that is where it stopped. We got two dinner plates of pulled pork and pork ribs. The pork was sliced pork (not pulled) and the country style ribs were tough. They were both bathed in a terrible BBQ sauce that was distintly tomato based. Worst part was we paid $40 for this meat that was so bad we didnt even eat it. I would not recommend this place at all! They only got the two stars because of the side dishes.

We pulled up MAPS to find a place to eat. So glad we picked Shortys. The BBQ sandwich was juicy, deliciously flavored and hot. Will stop in next time in Alma.

The people working In there today are very rude and could care less if you need anything.dont know how to run a place.you stand at window needing something they look at you and walk away.even if your busy you still have to be nice to to people.

You could drive by Shortys and never know what you missed- a really good unique barbecue stand. Go inside, the drive through can be long. The staff are accomodating and customer oriented and the food, especially the ribs. I dont believe in best barbecue, it is very artisanal and varied, but the ribs here (quick lunch stop on a LONG wet drive) were great.

2021-10-15My mouth for watering for bbq but when I got the food it was not good bake beans were out a can coleslaw was awful and we were over charged ...our total correct total was 67.00 and it was only two people . Not sure if they put a tip was on our tab 😡😡😡..We came up to ga. For a funeral and this restaurant still has me on toilet...I had to put one star to make a comment..

2021-01-16Im from south florida and just recently moved to Alma, and this place is top notch, the building is a little rustic type place, pretty small inside, with a smoking porch and a front door, you go inside and order and you can sit in a table, surrounded by georgia bulldog pictures, or you can get take out. I fully recommend eating inside, though, as there are not many people and you can get as many free refills and extra sauces as you want. Better for the price. The price is great, the fried pickles and fried okra are amazing, and so is the pulled pork sandwich, the burger, and probably the most popular order that Ive seen, the chicken platter. You can also get 2 sides of fries as your 2 sides if you only want fries, I wholy recommend this place. Very good food, great atmosphere, very clean, and you feel right at home in a small town. 5 stars.

2020-02-08Excellent grilled chicken. Sides of fried okra and green beans very good. Fairly reasonable prices ,menue a little misleading since some items listed are not available. Example beef brisket sandwich, otherwise excellent place Small dining room with five or six tables and screened in porch. Couple of tables when weather is warm
