Excellent customer service my first time eating here. Provided the best service and food that Ive ever received in Augusta Ga. Bathrooms were clean as well as the restaurant. If you are looking for a place to eat I highly recommend Skrimp Shack
Absolutely fantastic service and food! We had the Shrimp with French Fries, and the Mahi Mahi with fries. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious, we will definitely be regulars at this wonderful location. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.
1st time visiting the Skrimp Shack and, mais cher, I felt like I was on vacation in Louisianas bayou country. The Skrimp (shrimp) were plump and juicy and the catfish filets were delicate and sweet. Bon Appétit!
We tried this place for the first time. Was very excited to try it and didnt care about having to pay extra for a side and drink until I got my meal. Got the shrimp and crab po boy sandwich. Very poorly done. Looks like just a loaf of bread with a side of shrimp and small spoon of crab. If you come here for a po boy I wouldnt recommend, but Ive seen some of the other entrees that look pretty good.
Went there for the first time and I must say first the customer service was excellent! I had the catfish sandwich and although I wasn’t a fan of the bread, (bun) the fish was fried to perfection! And the tarter sauce was the perfect compliment! Will definitely be back.
The shrimp was great 👍🏿. The collar greens were perfectly seasoned love them. But my number of shrimp was off I ordered a 20 an got 18. The macaroni an cheese was horrible 😫.
My sister and I recently moved to the Augusta area. Originally from Massachusetts. The food is excellent, fast service and the staff makes you feel right at home. The manager is not only the friendliest but entertaining. We will be returning...
By far the worst experience ever. If I could leave negative stars I would. First I paid for my food after paying for it they proceeded to tell me what they didnt have AFTER I PAID FOR IT. As Im standing there I see another employee drop the hush puppy mixture on the floor and then pick it up and continue to drop puppies with it. Food came with tea which they didnt have and offered me to get several cups of soda which I didnt want cause thats not what I paid for. After all of this I said this is my first time coming here and the first impression is not good. She says once you eat our food youll be back. With all that and finally tasting the food. I definitely WILL NO TO BE BACK!!!!

Although new, they have become popular with our group. Fresh fish, and they pile it on for the sandwiches. The only side I dont care for is the mac and cheese. But they are friendly and good food
Today was my first visit to this place and I must say I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked in the door I was given a friendly greeting from the young lady working the counter placed my order to go did not have to wait more than 10 minutes when I receive my food it smells delicious when I got home everything was packed very nicely not just thrown in a box which is typically what happens everything was seasoned perfectly Large portions at a great price cannot go wrong with trying to surprise I will definitely be back

Came in for lunch today.Positive: The shrimp basket was good. It was more food than I could eat. The shrimp was fried just right and the flavor was on point. The fries were crispy. I prefer thinner fries than what they have but thats just my preference. The place itself was very clean.Negative: Came in for a poboy but was told that they were out of poboy bread (at 11:15 am). The price of the food was pretty high. $13.01 for a shrimp basket with fries and a drink. I did notice after I ordered that they have a daily lunch special for much less. I will definitely get that the next time.Overall: Pretty good. Pretty expensive when ordering certain items but if you go the lunch special route, I think that price is more than fair for what you receive.
NOT our first or last time here. We have chosen Skrimp Shack 6+ times since they opened. Each and every time they exceed our expectations in customer service, food quality, and food quantity! We honestly feel like we dropped in on family for a take-away plate! South Augusta PLEASE TREAT THEM RIGHT! We need their BIG CAT AND SKRIMP TACOS to stay around a good long time! Outstanding!

Had to hit up one of my favorite spots today. As usual the food was great and service was on point! Eating here is like eating with family. Good food and good laughs, (especially if Tre is at the register) 🤣. The Whiting fish sandwich is delicious just know you probably wont be able to finish it, its huge!
With large portion sizes, you definitely wont leave hungry! Customer service was fantastic, we even had two employees come out and introduce themselves! All of our food was freshly made and you could tell in the taste.

Just there today. Fabulous fried shrimp and fried whitefish. We had several sides, all excellent, and they tasted like my grandmothers...huge hushpuppies, green beans, mac n cheese, fried okra and slaw. My husband and I travel a half hour for this food. The employees are gracious, grateful and smiling. Try the Skrimp Shack. You wont be disappointed!
I highly recommend checking this place out! After reading that this is a franchise based out of Virginia, I knew it would be amazing and I wasnt wrong. The fried shrimp and chicken baskets were so tasty, the collards and greens beans were perfectly seasoned. The restaurant was clean, the employees were kind and polite, and the owner came out to check on me to ensure I was having a good experience. Being from South Florida, its been hard to find seafood up to my standards here in Augusta, and I will definitely be back to try out more. Definitely worth the trip if you live outside of Hephzibah!
I got to pay over $17 for a sandwich, drink and fries. The fries were your average, limp diner fries with a crust of Lawrys seasoning salt on top (nothing on the fries in the middle of the pile, mind you). The sandwich: decent shrimp with a whiff of crab meat, weirdly sweet sauce, and white bread roll straight out of the packaging (no sauce or grilling for you). Customer service from the front desk was about what I expected from a fast-food joint (i.e. nonexistent). Overall, I wouldve given this place a much better rating if the food was half the price. For what you get, youd be better served spending your money elsewhere.

It is very welcoming. The food is cooked fresh for every order and is VERY delicious! The fish sandwiches have massive amounts of fish on them! The pieces of chicken that are served on their chicken sandwiches are ALSO beyond enormous! The restaurant is extra clean. And the employees are very generous and kind! I highly recommend everyone track the Shrimp Shack! I guarantee that youll love it!
This restaurant is amazing!!! The atmosphere is pleasant with sultry sounds, and the staff is professional and friendly. They definitely knew what they were doing and what they were talking about. I was impressed how they delivered my order so fast with nearly a full house of customers. The portions are generous but attention to how they are placed should be considered; the bun was folded beneath the fish for my Big Cat Fish Sandwich. Although the fish was seasoned well, I believe I was served whiting. Thus, the hunt continues for a decent catfish sandwich! 😢 Unfortunately, I didn’t get my order of SKRIMP! The nice lady that brought out my carry out order handed me a nicely cinched bag along with a bright smile. I got home to discover my SKRIMP didn’t make the trip. Shucks, ‘that one is on me’. The Sweet Tea was refreshing but a bit watered down. Nonetheless, the shop was neat and tidy. Will I give them a second chance; certainly, they have good potential. 😁
We were told about Skrimp Shack while we were checking out from a store in another part of Augusta, and decided to check it out. We were not disappointed. Suna, the manager, and the entire crew made us feel welcome. I got the Mahi Basket and my wife got the Shrimp Basket. We both got the lunch portion (which at least during our visit you can get all day). The lunch portion was more than enough, and the flavor was amazing. When you purchase a basket meal it comes with a side. I highly recommend the Collard Greens. They are amazing!! In fact, the Collard Greens alone are more than reason enough to visit, and the fish and other sides are just icing on the cake!Make sure you visit Skrimp Shack! You will not be disappointed!
Second Time from Savannah GA to this Great Restaurant. This time I ordered The BIG FLOUNDER Basket to go. Once I got back to my job location it turns out to be Whitening Fish and 21 Sweet Potato Fries 🍟 . Next Time PLEASE CHECK YOUR ORDER!!! At least the Staff was friendly.

I had an Amazing experience with the Manager Alicia. To make a long story short, I accidentally placed and paid for an online order on a Sunday that your business was closed unknowingly. So I called up to the store Tuesday when you all opened back up and spoke to Ms. Alicia explaining the issue. She had me to come up to the store and she took care of my order for me with no issues. She apologized for the misunderstanding and made sure I had my order. Great customer service experience. Alicia represented your business very well!

Been here twice. Went and ordered a grilled whiting fish sandwich and got 2 shrimp tacos along with a fried shrimp combo and fried okra and a side of collard greens. The fish sandwich was extremely dry, the okra was soggy and not fried long enough and the shrimp tacos were very plain the rest of the things were edible.Tried to give them another chance and ordered the Monster Mahi sandwich the fish was beyond dry I will not be returning or recommending anyone there.
We saw the interview on the news a few months ago and wanted to try them, due to what was said and what we saw. We ordered online today. Nothing met our expectations! My po boy shrimp/crabmeat👎🏽(sloppy, no mild sauce as asked online) with a pack of tartar & cocktail sauce, the hush puppies were hard as if theyd dropped them in the grease again for warming, okra no seasoning, fish was just fish. Looked again at the menu pics and my pics I cannot post. It was bad. I sent my pics to my family and friends for their reviews without telling where the food came from. One stated, we were robbed. Another stated, if that place keep it up, they wont be here long. Its too much competition in these parts.😩 Dear Lord thank you for my food... (We dont throw away food)...in Jesus name Amen.
Good Afternoon...Today, July 16,2021 was the first time I ate at the Skrimp Shack. The seafood(fish) was Delicious and Hot. The food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh. I just want to say continue the good work and you will have great success. I live in Atlanta but I come to Augusta often. The next time I visit Augusta I look forward to some hot fish and sides. I will tell my family and friends so they can visit too when they are in Augusta.
Went for the first time on my lunch break, despite it being busy i was in and out quickly with hot good food. The owner even came behind the counter to check on customers to see was everyone order correct and were they doing okay. Shrimp is seasoned to perfection . Will be back

Stop by for first time after Doctors appointment wife and I both had shrimp baskets. Brandon brought our food out it was amazing he asked if we had been there before we said no he said let get you some hush puppies to try. Brandon and his staff very friendly we will be returning soon

Ive been coming to Skrimp Shack since its inception and they never disappoint. The fish is well seasoned, flaky, simply delicious! Honestly I make the sojourn to South Augusta b/c of Skrimp Shack and shall continue to do so b/c of their outstanding food, courteous staff, and down home atmosphere.
The best seafood. People were extremely nice! Very very clean. I even got dessert on the way out. Loved the banana pudding! We need a place like this at Exit 5 in South Carolina! Please come! I will be back. Its just far.
The place takes advantage of the elderly, the communication with management is dismal at best and the food is nothing to write home to mom about. I contacted them about fixing my problem and they insisted that they were happy with their service although I was not (as I received an incorrect order and was unable to eat or feed my kids with basically whatever they decided to charge me for and put in my bag.) Because it sure wasnt what I ordered.

The whiting basket and catfish tacos were just okay. The hush puppies were good. The spicy sauce for the tacos were barely on them and not tasty or spicy. The whiting was bland. I might go back to try the shrimp since that’s part of the restaurant’s name. Will not recommend this restaurant highly.

This could be a gold mine. I got the 2 grilled shrimp tacos. Plenty of skrimp but nothing else. The shells I think were microwaved. Lettuce was almost non existent and the sauce was watery in flavor and texture. Quick grill of the shells wouldve been worth waiting for. Im very picky about fries so these would have been perfect except werent hot.
My wife & I ate there Friday night and the food was amazing. The portions were very generous, the quality of the food was outstanding and the service was even better. If you have not tried the Skrimp Shack yet you need to do so, you will not be disappointed.
My friend and I decided to try this new little fast food place and WOW WE WERE so surprised!! Very fast service and the fried shrimp were cooked to perfection great sweet potato fries and we tried the catfish too. Soooo good best I have had since my last trip to the beach. This is the new fish spot in Augusta. Ample portions for the money. Quality food and plenty to choose from. Customer service and atmosphere are much better than other seafood places I’ve visited in this category! You must try it....you will not be disappointed.

This was honestly the best friend seafood I’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting !! My husband got the shrimp poboy and I got the shrimp basket . Everything was hot and fresh. I don’t know what kind of sauce was on my husbands poboy but it was so good, I was second guessing my choice lol We will definitely be back!

Couldnt make changes to the side selection should have been our cue to leave!!! Ordered the family bundle and after more than 30 minutes we got fish(lukewarm), shrimp(cold) and hush puppies. 5 minutes later came chicken strips, 10 minutes later we had to ask for our fries and tea. Finally got tea and 2 minutes before we walked out we got Hot fries.

The place did not have half the items on the menu, my order was all wrong and there is no way to contact them as the phone goes to a voicemail that says its full. I ended up with food I couldnt eat. Hungry and dissatisfied. I will NOT be back. Way better seafood spots in Augusta.

2021-12-11Currently here waiting on my food and this visit is off to a bad start… the only beverages available were pink lemonade, Sierra Mist and orange crush. They are also out of regular fries 🤦🏽♀️. There are barely any regular drink lids or napkins stocked.UPDATE: This visit was THE worst. I seriously low key want a refund. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED to say the least.

2021-08-19My order was to be crabs. I got excited reading about the owner being from Virginia. Im from Virginia, I thought wow finally I can get a blue crab, maybe fried. 😅 Nope. So, I ordered differently. The chicken taco is not a real chicken taco. Just a chicken strip, old piece of lettuce with cheese. If you looking for a real authentic chicken taco this isnt it, at all. I was disappointed. My graddaughter who is a toddler liked the chicken strip. Also, ordered shrimp and fries. Shrimp were not bad. Fries taste like they were cooked in very old grease. I had to trash them. This entire meal wasnt worth $21. Customer Service was on point. The restaurant was clean.After posting this review the owner did reach out me with an apology and the offer of a free meal for myself and granddaughter. This was appreciated and shows his aim to provide great customer service and a great a meal.

2021-09-22Went today on 09/22/21; Been here twice and I can honestly say my second time was the worst compared to my first time so that is what made me write the review, first the customer services was awful the young lady up front was very rude and dry and acted as I was annoying her with my questions about the food. I ordered the fried shrimp basket and fried okra; my shrimp and okra tasted unseasoned and was half cooked very soft not one crisp to it. I also ordered the mild shrimp tacos with fries, which my fries was old and cold as well tasted has if they was cooked in old grease and they also put mango salsa on my tacos after I ask for mild sauce and again, going up to the rude young lady in the front asking if this was mild sauce because I never had them myself I was unsure and she was too from her facial expression plus I tried it and it did not taste nor look like mild sauce she rudely brush me off and stated that this was mild sauce, but I guess my taste buds were not working this day but I didn’t say anything, according to your website, this sauce taste like the mango sauce and looks like the mango sauce according to your website and in your pictures. I ordered my son the fried shrimp kids meal with grease fries again and was served with a very small cup please see the pictures below and the worker stated that was a kid cup, which there was not libs in sight for this cup and if a kid meal is almost 6-7 dollars I believe that sizes cup is very inappropriate. Extremely disappointment.

2022-07-16Gooood LordT! Yes, it is delicious. It is hot, flavorful, and quick service. Shoutout to the staff, cooks, and brand!!. That Po’Boy sauce is amazing. They devein their shrimp (amen) because I can’t say the same for other fried seafood places locally here and that’s important.

2022-06-09I will say the seafood was ok; I have dined in some of the major seaport cities so the bar for me is set pretty high. I did really like their hush puppies (generous portion) and their banana pudding. The service was exceptional. The woman working at the counter was personable, made menu suggestions, and was cheerful. Prices are running high everywhere; and I am sure their food supply costs have gone up significantly, to address some of the other comments. Dining out now is an occasional treat for most people. That is hard on small businesses; which is all the more reason to appreciate the positive attitude of their staff.

2022-03-03This is the third time ordering from them. The first two times the food was excellent. Today not so good. They didn’t have flounder. Had to get whiting. The fish And shrimp had a strange taste. It may have been old grease. The fries were ok. The hush puppies were greasy. Will not be going back anytime soon.

2022-04-01My family was visiting from out of town and wanted Seafood. I recommend Skrimp Shack from my own personal experience. We ordered The Big Cat, Shrimp and Salmon baskets. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the staff is friendly too! We will definitely be back to try other choices on the menu.

2021-08-10Amazingly FAT Skrimp Lunch with a Fried Okra! So tasty looking when it came out that I didn’t think to take a picture…my only thought was eat. So Delicious! Staff was super friendly. Got two Brownies to go because I didn’t have room for more (Got a leftover box for son’s chicken nuggets that he said he must take because they are so good). Skrimp Shack is a most.

2022-05-12Best experience hands down! Me and my family just arrived from NY, found this restaurant on a tiktok - the owner was amazing. He let us sample a new menu item he was trying - shrimp & grits, which was seasoned to the god’s. The food we ordered was great too! Do yourself a favor and eat here!
