Dr. Lamothe is very thorough and attentive. He has a gentle touch and I was comfortable during my entire experience. His staff is also great and they have great attitudes. Would highly recommend this office for any dental work or headache issues.

Not only have I had exceptional service for my dental services (cleaning, etc.)- I had the opportunity to be treated for my headaches. After going to many doctors about my headache Dr. Lamothe helped to identify that my headaches were being caused by TMJ. After undergoing a series of treatments that included both at home care and in-office treatments, my headaches were no longer existent. If you are struggling with headaches and cant find anything that works, it could be TMJ!
Dr. Lamothe is best dentist I ever had!! I was terribly afraid of the dentist. He and his staff make every effort to ensure I am comfortable at every visit. Dr. Lamothe is very supportive and thorough explaining whatever treatment is needed as well as preventive and daily oral care. One star is generous. Although the staff is really nice, not a great experience. I have a love one that needed denture and it is taking them nearly a year. Setting multiple appointments to get their denture plate fitting correct. I do understand Covid might play a part; however, seems like they were setting unnecessarily appointments, repeating the same procedures. I have been there, too. I was scheduled to get a couple of teeth extracted. At the last minute was suggested to go see another dentist and never came back. The overall service is disappointing service for me but especially my loved one.

So much more than a regular dentist officeI I had no idea that a dental concern could give me such headaches and make me lose sleep. I went to every doctor I could find and even tried many holistic approaches to find relief but nothing and no one could help.Dr. Lamothe and his team identified the problem immediately. My concerns were multiplied by the fact that everyday stress from work and worries caused me to grind my teeth at night. My treatments with Smyrna Dental helped to pinpoint the problem and relieve my headaches as well. So grateful for their expertise. They helped me get more than a good nights sleep but really allowed me to get my life back.

Pretty disappointed with my experience at this local dentist. I made an appointment to get some bonding redone on my front teeth. I had just had a full examination a few months prior so we agreed to do the bonding on a specific day. Total bait and switch situation - they get me in the chair and take all my information I see the dentist who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She says they overbooked and no longer had time for my procedure just the exam. I said “what exam??” She said “well you opened your mouth and I looked at your teeth”This place is a total scam! I’m in shock. Please comment if you know of any reputable dentists in the Smyrna area! Definitely steer clear of this place

Dr. Lamothe is the best dentist in Atlanta. He is knowledgeable, honest and caring. I drive 30+ minutes from Norcross to visit with him in Smyrna because I know I can trust what he says and that he will take care of me. His care during my tooth extraction and implant was excellent and his after care with continued dental service and cleaning has been great. I would 100% recommend him. Working with his front assistance Lisa and his hygienist Wendy have been great experiences.
This is the best dentist I have found in ATL area it seems like some dentist are into overcharging for more cosmetic options. However for me personally I am only interested in pure dental health and Dr. Lamothe has been my go to for such. He was not in my network but I enjoy his service so much its worth it and for me it wasnt pricey either way. Also the staff was very personable and friendly. So win win win all around.

THIS IS THE BEST DENTIST I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO! Always clean and professional. Dinous is such a sweetheart and is very through. I dont like going to the dentist but she definitely helped me a lot and calmed me down and ensured me that there was nothing to worry about. She really knows what shes doing. She takes good care of me everytime I go !

I recently had a consultation with Dr. Lamothe and I loved him! He took the time to inquire about my medical history, which no other dentist has ever done. Together we came up with a plan to get my teeth fixed. I felt he was honest and I respect that. I went in for a cosmetic fix knowing that I needed a lot more done, he would not do the cosmetic fix because he stated he wanted to crown the tooth and he didnt want to double charge me. I respected that also. His staff was fantastic and being that its hard for me to get out of work continuously they are very accommodating in doing as much in one visit as possible. The staff is funny, nice and professional. I felt completely comfortable. Most dentist offices make me feel ashamed but not here. Highly recommend!
OMG, OMG, OMG, Wendy girl I am in love..... I could not find anything wrong or to say bad about this place even if you try to find something because people do; you will not be able to all the way down to the reminder of your appointment.... I tried to get a problem out of the reminder come to find out it was my mistake I had the date correct but the day was incorrect so we laughed about it. The office as well as the crew that work in the office is/was very professional and clean I had no complaints. Wendy was awesome she was my hygienist. She took her time and talked me through everything she was getting ready to do and everything she was going to do. I want in for a cleaning and I could not stop looking at my teeth once done. On the way home a couple of cars blew at me because I was in the mirror. I held up Dr Lamothe business card and told them if you go here you will know why I was in the mirror at the light. Note I have not been to the dentist well over some some something Years. Yes Years....... I said it so do not judge me, but guess what I walked out of there with no cavities and I am still blessed... Dr. Lamothe went over a lot of information and things I need for correcting as well as setting up a virtual to help me decide on how I want to go about getting my correction take care of... I can honestly say I have found my dentist for life..... Ladies keep up the good work in making Dr. Lamothe shine I am for sure he will take care of his crew with a big fat bonus..... 😉
Pros - curbside checkin, friendly hygienist!Unfortunately that’s where the pros end. This place is running a sort of bait and switch scam. You set an appointment for a procedure, when you show up they try to push veneers... once you decline, they cancel your appointment while you’re sitting in the chair! Due to overbooking.. there was no one in the office lol. She continues to say “just the exam for today...” I said what exam?! She replies... any time you open your mouth for a dentist it’s an exam. I literally just pointed the problem area out to her? Crazy... never experienced anything like it. Be careful out there! It does look shady from the outside so I should have known
My old dentist had closed up shop and I had been out of the country off and on for over a year and needed my teeth cleaned. I felt the work done was great. I got an email about my appointment beforehand. I showed up and they went to work promptly; I waited hardly at all. The work was professional. The hygienist was nice. Afterwards, Dr. Lamothe had to fill in a cavity and was quite sensitive to making sure I didnt feel much before he went to work. I noticed a big difference in the quality of my mouth & teeth afterwards -which is something I honestly didnt expect. I would recommend this office to anyone seeking a dentist in the Vinings/Smyrna area.
In sum, Dr. Lamothe is great, but his poorly-run office and unprofessional staff mitigate his good qualities. If you value your time and appreciate professionalism, look elsewhere.I was referred to Smyrna Dental by a retired dentist I respect, so I was expecting a great experience. For the first year, everything was fine. The staff was professional, the dentist was great--no problem. But my most recent experiences have been the most unprofessional medical services I have ever received.During my most recent cleaning, the hygienist kept telling me how much plaque was built up and how I must not be flossing. She kept this monologue up throughout the procedure until I finally told her to stop. I didnt understand the shaming--it was unprofessional, unnecessary, and untrue. I had buildup because I hadnt been able to schedule an appointment in over a year, not because I dont brush and floss.If someone comes to the dentist, they obviously know they need some work done. Theres no need to repeatedly point out the obvious. A more appropriate way for the hygienist to have handled my situation would have been to just clean my teeth, then tell me at the end that I had a lot of excess buildup, ask me questions to find out why this was happening, then provide product recommendations and teach me techniques to keep it from happening again.Anyway, at the shaming visit, the hygienist didnt even finish cleaning my teeth. She scraped them, said she couldnt polish them that day, had me buy $18 mouthwash and some special flossers, then scheduled me for another appointment 10 days later.Ten days later, I went in for my appointment and was told they were running 10 minutes late. 45 minutes later, I was told to reschedule my appointment because the office didnt have any more clean tools. When I expressed my frustration, the person at the front desk told me, Well, you wouldnt want anything dirty in your mouth, would you? No, I would not. However, dirty tools in your mouth or reschedule your appointment shouldnt be the only two options--especially after making me wait 45 minutes.Yesterday, I went in for my third appointment. I had scheduled it for a Monday because I was told it was their least busy day. When I arrived, I was told they were running a little late again. There was already another client ahead of me, so I did not stick around for what was sure to be a repeat of last week. Now, I am now taking my familys business elsewhere. I took time off work THREE TIMES for a basic teeth cleaning and never did get the service completed.I understand that procedures sometimes run unexpectedly long and know that most physicians double-book in case of cancellations because their time is valuable and they want to be profitable. However, my time is valuable too. At my billable rate, I cost my company over $600 in billable hours by not being available to work during the time I spent traveling to and waiting in the dentists office. This is, of course, on top of the personal vacation time I had to use in order to attend these appointments.This system just isnt going to work for me, no matter how much I like Dr. Lamothe. Its too bad, because hes very close to my home and I really liked the services I received during previous appointments.
After spending months thinking I was having ongoing sinus problems and ear aches, my doctor diagnosed me with TMJ. Dr. Lamothe and Zoey have helped me get my life back!!! Dealing with constant pain and headaches I was extremely frustrated when I arrived at Dr. Lamothes office. Now, after only 6 weeks of treatment, I am able to work hard and play hard again. Best dentist that I have ever experienced!!!!
The Hygienist, Wendy is the best Hygienist in all of Atlanta. The Front Office Manager, Camille is very professional and always provides excellent service.
We have been going to Smyrna Dental for 3+ years and love Dr Lamonthe. The hygienist always makes the cleanings as comfortable as possible. They do however, run behind frequently, so I usually call ahead to see how they are running.
Best dental office Ive been to. Great customer service! You can tell they really care about the health of your teeth, unlike others Ive been to that just want your money. I would definitely recommend visiting thier office. The staff is friendly and fast.
I am retired police went there to get my tooth extracted . Please dont waste your time Dr.Lamothe is a rip-off artist. He made me wait 2 or 3 hours to tell me after he consulted with me that I need to see his friend because something else was wrong...The staff is nice he is looking for the big bucks he wants to do anything else but not pull a tooth. I asked before going if he extracted teeth more than 5 times... I wish I had known that he only wants money and does not care about you as a patient . I gave them my money and left with a tooth that stills needs to be pulled help!

Dr. Lamonthe is awesome! I came in for a second opinion and was able to get the help I needed. I felt very comfortable and when receiving the numbing shot I did not feel a thing. I think I found my new dentist :)
Stories i tell spell tales but this, this is an experience instead.Their flexibility and the great staff were my parting realities. I mean, the doctor is mellow, not rushed, the hygienist honest, no bluff, and the receptionist, well, memory sharp.This is my dentist going forward.
Had a Groupon-type discount service to this clinic. Money ($79) was wasted. Terrible service received. Poor communications - No introduction or greeting made by staff members. The dentist seemed bored/tired during examination and offered no guidance on dental procedures or exam. No dental cleaning performed because dentist claimed there was extensive periodontal disease (not true!). Bitewing Xrays were taken and when a copy was requested, request would only be granted if additional money was paid. Went immediately to another dentist who cleaned my teeth - without the depressed, bait-switch work environment displayed at this clinic.

Dentist nice, but the office staff is very unprofessional. I was told by the office manager to come by anytime for a quick x-ray. I went by on my lunch, but no one was there. Never received an apology by the dentist.

2022-02-09I was Referred to Smyrna Dental & Headache Center about 4 years ago by a friend. Dr. Lamothe did such a super and amazing job on my Upper Veneers that I had to come back to allow him to finish my lower Veneers as well as my dental care. Dr. Lamothes AKA (George Duke) it’s my own joke lol…He works in excellence and is extremely thorough when it comes to his profession, Wendy extremely sweet she is one of Smyrna Dental hygienist after getting my services done today she didn’t fell to educated me on my dental hygiene care as well as been a listening ear.Lastly the front end staff went out of there way to make sure that all of my medical billing and appointment needs where met so I had to drop off some sweet treats.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS! GREAT JOB SMYRNA DENTAL AND HEADACHE CENTER!!

2022-02-02Ive been a patient of Dr. Lamothes since 2009 or 2010. He has provided consistent care, with the health of my teeth being foremost. He takes the time to address any questions or concerns I have at each visit.The staff is courteous and professional. The office looks clean and sanitary whenever I visit. They currently offer curbside check-in and perform temperature checks upon arrival to make sure theyre keeping the staff and patients safe.I recommend my dentist to anyone who asks all the time!

2022-01-05I have been visiting Smyrna Dental & Headache Center now for over 10 years and the experience each and everytime has been an enjoyable one to say the least. Dr. Lamont and his staff has been very professional and caring as well as they just make you feel like family instead of a client or patient. That is why I drive nearly an hour away for my dentist appointment and pass plenty of others on my way to the Best dentist in town.

2022-08-11Ive had nothing but good experiences while at this dental clinic, during my time in the military I had a head injury in which left me with terrible headaches as well as heavy teeth grinding. But since Ive received my Mio Liner i have not had as many headaches, also my teeth grinding has become less of a headache literally!! I would recommend any and everyone to come and give Smyrna Dental& Headache Center a try you wont be dissapointed.
