Ive been going to this gym for over 3 years and I love it! It has a small neighborhood feel with all of the equipment of a big gym. The staff is friendly, its always super clean, and it has everything you need for a good workout. I love that people of all fitness levels can feel welcome and comfortable here. Highly recommend!
Gym is well-equipped for a variety of workouts and activities. However, my rating is because they have absolutely zero Covid precautions in place. At the time of this review (12/29/2021) the seven-day average of new cases in Georgia is about as high as it’s ever been. The citywide mask mandate has been reimplemented. They are not observing any Covid precautions. There is no signage indicating masks are required, there is no room for social distancing when the gym is even mildly (40%?) busy, and there certainly aren’t any of the other measures that have proven to reduce transmission of Covid.Prior to this review, I reached out on social media to see whether they were implementing any Covid measures. They responded they (1) were frequently sanitizing surfaces (pretty standard for a gym if you ask me, and also hard-surface touch transfer is not the primary way Covid spreads) and (2) had implemented a mask mandate consistent with the city mandate. Turns out they were lying about the mask mandate.I understand it’s a 24-hour gym so there’s no way to necessarily enforce it during unstaffed hours, but there’s not even an attempt by placing signage. Add to this that none of the staff wear masks, it’s pretty clear they were being less than candid.Comply with the mask mandate or don’t, but have the guts to own your decision instead of lying to people. It’s bad business.
As someone who used to help run fitness facilities - I absolutely love this gym. It is always tidy and clean, the staff is very welcoming and they are always making improvements to the facility. As a former CrossFitter who no longer CrossFits, but loves functional training, I love that they have a great space for this, as well as any machine you could want. Its really the best of both worlds. If this location is in your area I could not suggest it more!
My husband and I have been going to this gym for years. We’ve always felt welcome amongst the friendly staff and the other members. It’s a great place to work out; always very clean and well-organized which I imagine is not easy in a 24-hour environment. The equipment is generally well-maintained with things very rarely broken or out of order. I also feel like they are doing a great job given the pandemic with requiring masks and keeping everything clean.
Great gym with ample space. The equipment is in great condition. The lower part had free weight, HIIT area, Rogue rack and more. The upstairs is full of weight machines, cardio equipment, stretching area and massage tables. The staff are extremely friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They offer group training, massage sessions, and personal training.I currently utilize the personal training. The program is varied, tailored, and truly personal. My Trainor is attentive and has helped me almost double my strength since starting. The owner can be found here on the weekends, he is nice and willing to be help out the crew.Overall its clean, 24/7, and has all you need to meet (and exceed) your goals.See you there on the MyZone wall. Are you ready?
I have been going to the gym for almost a year now. I really enjoy the atmosphere, the staff, and the other members. It is a short walk from my place and I like that it is not just a bunch of new commercialized equipment you might see at a new chain. It has a rough/warehouse gym feel which I personally like. All around it is a great space and is prime location for the area. 24 hour gym is a life saver for me.
Been going here for a little over a year now and honestly I don’t have any complaints at all. Everyone who works there are extremely friend and helpful. Very safe place during the pandemic, they take all the necessary precautions. I would recommend this gym to anyone interested in working out or just looking to lose a few pounds!
I’ve been a member of this Snap location for about 3 years and it’s comfortable, clean, accepting and most importantly a good environment for any level fitness enthusiast. I’ve visited many other gyms and this is the best in the area. It’s also a big perk to be able to use your Snap membership at other locations across the country. For COVID-19 precautions are being taken, masks required, sanitize hands at the door and temp checks. With plenty of disinfectant around the gym. I feel safe at Snap with the level of cleanliness and precaution they are taking.
Snap Fitness has been a great fit for me. The gym is close to home, the staff is friendly and knowledgable, and the facility and equipment are very well maintained. For a gym of its size, there is a surprising amount of equipment (8 squat racks, for example) so if there ever is a wait to use something it usually does not take long. Currently there are temperature checks at the door, and masks are required during workouts.
Such a great gym with awesome staff! They work tirelessly to keep the facility super clean and make sure all members have the knowledge they need to meet their fitness goals. Membership rates and training programs are very reasonable and totally worth it. Definitely recommend!
Snap Glenwood Park is awesome! The space is huge with high ceilings and lots of natural light. The large space makes it easy to socially distance as they have two, three or more sets of everything - dumbbells, racks, benches as well as plenty of cardio equipment and weight machines. There are two big areas for stretching or floor work - far more than most gyms. The best kept secret is their Small Group Training! Run by their excellent trainers, the group classes a are circuit based mix of strength, TRX, HIIT and mobility and every class is different so it doesn’t get boring. Best of all - no running required!
Great gym. Friendly staff and open 24 hours, which is awesome. My only issue is they play the music SO LOUD at night, often when I’m the only one there. All anyone wants to do is listen to their own music but it’s nearly impossible sometimes to hear over the sound of their stereo blasting old Drake songs on repeat
Jack, Michael, and the rest of the crew make this place one of the better gyms in town. The gym is clean, not crowded, and has the top of the line equipment. The only issue I see is the lack of showers and I’m not able to watch the Braves game while working out, but the benefits far outweigh anything I could ever say negative about Snap in Glenwood.
It seems to be an awesome gym, if only we could have used what we paid for (we didnt access the gym with a keycard even once between two people for the duration of our membership, given COVID).After two failed attempts to cancel our membership with varying levels of misinformation at each point of communication, Michael Gunsallus, District Manager for Snap Fitness Atlanta, refused to honor a refund of membership fees paid erroneously due to his staffs error in canceling our memberships as requested, (and failed to to let us know that he wouldnt- we received absolutely no response). Staff we spoke to at the facility confirmed their error, but unfortunately Michael didnt feel like bothering to fix it, I suppose.During a time where humans are losing their homes, jobs, and more, its rather disgusting to see services such as a fitness center not moving with empathy and understanding. Its clear by the actions of this facility that their intentions are to siphon your funds and provide unclear rules to cancelling your membership, then deny any wrongdoing on their behalf after clear evidence is presented.Im happy to share my experience with anyone interested, but potential gym goers, beware. If you are okay with being locked into an ambiguous contract with no clear resolution, go for it. Otherwise, Id look for a facility that doesnt resort to essentially stealing your money to stay afloat.
1. Friendly Staff2. Latest Equipment (Equipment Upgrades when needed)3. 24 Hour Access4. Cleanliness (Majorly Important)5. Affordable Monthly RatesIm a bit of a gym rat, so I frequent various gyms in the city from time-to-time. What makes any gym stand out more than others is organization and cleanliness. If I visit a gym and the restroom/ locker room is unsanitary, that tells me a lot about the establishment and management.I absolutely love Snap Fitness Glenwood Park.
Watch your credit card statements closely! Staff will give you the run-around when you try to talk to literally anyone in management, then act like theyre doing you a favor by providing the bare minimum of customer service. Im sure theyll reply to this review and act like theyre completely innocent. Itd be the first Ive heard from them in months. The gym itself is fine, if a bit stinky.
Nothing but good things to say about the facilities and team at Snap Fitness - Glenwood Park. They take great pride in their space and it shows. The gym is spacious and clean with a thoughtful layout. Cardio, free weights, racks, machines - theyve got it all. Not to mention at a reasonable rate. Absolutely check these guys out if youre looking for a quality gym in the Glenwood Park/EAV area.
Great gym with great people! The gym has all the necessary equipment for various types of workouts. Very spacious. The staff is phenomenal and always encourage and help with your workouts. Great trainers as well. I highly recommend a membership to this gym which is very affordable.
An honest review! The good:-24/7 access-good amount of machines and equipment-not terribly crowded-staff is friendlyThe bad:-No showers or lockers (but there are cubbies for your stuff (like the ones in elementary school)-They try to squeeze in a lot of machines in the small facility so machines are pretty close together-Some of the machines are in need of some TLC (a deep cleaning, fixing the screen functions etc)Its an okay gym if you dont have any other local options. Small facility space but they definitely try to give you everything. Its definitely worth the 30 day trial!Be aware though that you will be charged a non-refundable start up fee for membership and youll be paying $40 a month after that. At that price you may be willing to go a few more miles out and find a larger facility with more perks. I think LA Fitness does theirs for $30 a month with specials that waive the initial fee.All in all, its worth the money if you literally have NO other options. If they came down on the price I bet theyd see a huge boost in enrollment. Its a shame.
Ive been a member for over 8 years. The primary benefits for me is 24 hour (365 day) access to a comprehensive gym. If youre a Powerlifter or Crossfitter youll be happy to see that have a full Rogue rig with bumpers, plyo boxes, kettlebells, and pretty much any equipment you need for any style of workout.Im surprised to read any review noting that management does not care about customer service, because the owners of this gym have always been incredibly responsive to customer needs. They are always upgrading equipment, and have addressed any of the few concerns Ive had.My only request is that the gym could upgrade to a Concept2 rower and consider an Assault Bike. Im guessing the noise that equipment generates factors into the decision not to have it.If I had to choose one negative, the culture of the gym could use some upgrades. This is pretty much a mind-your-own-business gym. Im not sure why, because the owners seem to be very friendly and conversational. This might not be a negative for some people, but dont come to this gym expecting to make friends or be part of a community.
Better wear your mask at all times while working out or they’ll terminate your membership not tell you about it and then continue to take money out lol. Even planet fitness is better than this over crowded and over priced place. Pick anywhere else. And you didn’t handle it well since I was never notified of the termination and you still took the money out for the month, and had I never called and said anything about it you would’ve kept the money. So how’s that professional?
Very solid gym. From an equipment perspective, they have most of what you could ask for. They have 2 fully duplicative sets of dumbbells in separate rooms, which, for those who lift freeweights, is great. They have 2 smith machines, and multiple racks where you can setup a bench press, shoulder press, or any other bar weight you can think of.As for accessibility. They do get busy between about 5:30 and 7 pm. That said, even during those times, I can usually get on the machines/weights I need within low wait times. There are trainers as well you can engage. Although I never have, Ive seen them in action, and they seem to be think things out well, and be incredibly competent.
If you are looking for a REAL GYM rather than a franchised fitness center or cookie-cutter gym, then Snap Fitness is the place you need to be! When I moved to the city, I needed a gym. I picked Snap Fitness initially because it was close to my work and home and it was not expensive. I really knew nothing else about the facility, but I quickly grew accustomed to the faces I would see in the gym and to the staff working at the facility. Id say that the gym is the best in the city. Ive been to several of the big name gyms, and this one is the best: best quality equipment, best variety, best trainers, best classes, best hours (24-hour access card), best price, best atmosphere. My main gym is the Glenwood Park location, but Ive been to 2 other locations and I like them also. The staff at each facility are friendly and engaging, and this is important to me. The classes are a lot of fun as well and teach you proper body mechanics and form, which will prevent you from getting injured. The trainers really know what theyre doing, and you can trust their instructions. They are all certified trainers, and they really want to see you reach your goals. If you follow their instructions, you will see results. During the classes, you also learn new exercises every week to keep your workouts new and exciting. I take the Small Groups Training classes, and I love them. I have learned to do exercises that I didnt even know existed, and I have made workout friends along the way. If you purchase the SGT classes, you get a MyZone belt to keep track of your effort and calories burned. Ive actually never seen anything like this. Its pretty innovative. The equipment is great and if you want to keep your workouts fresh and new, this gym has enough equipment and stations to allow you to do so. Theyve got real free weights, real squat racks, cardio stuff youve probably never seen before, resistance bands, boxes for jumping, ropes, TRX cables, stretch stations, weighted balls, and all of the usual stuff you see in gyms. They are always adding new stuff, too. The Glenwood location just recently added turf for kettle bell swings, box jumps, and exercises of this nature. I rarely leave the turf! The atmosphere is great as well. The crowd at Glenwood Park is mostly working professionals and post-college adults. The people who are in the gym share a common interest: to improve their health and physical performance. Its actually motivating to see others pushing their bodies to the limit. Ive actually made a handful of friends since I joined the gym, and I look for these people when I come in. Its just motivating to see people that I recognize and I can wave at, we dont even work out together usually. The gyms are never over-crowded and I can always gain access to the piece of equipment that I want to use. The owner is often at the Glenwood Park location, and hes very down to earth, enthusiastic about fitness, and will sometimes hop in and work out with you. The staff always speak to me when I am there, and I was never pressured to upgrade my membership like some gyms often do to their members. If I leave my headphones at home, the music in the gym is very upbeat and I can work out without my personal playlist. Sometimes I actually take my headphones off to listen to what the gym is playing.
I love this place! 24 hour access, clean environment, and low-key staff. This isnt a place to go if you want a lot of classes (although their small group training is great), but its open and airy with all the equipment you need. If you need a trainer, ask for Elijah. He has pushed me a lot, and helped me to lose 35 pounds (and counting)!
Your right Im not a customer. Ive also never been to your gym. Accusing me of breaking your gym policies when Ive never been to your gym nor have I been to Atlanta. I actually live in NY, never set foot in your gym. No you get a one star for taking money from someone after having cancelled a membership all based on a third party complaint and not advising the customer. But after accusing me of something I havent done, I kinda wish I could give you half a star.
I joined this gym in November. Signed up for a 7 months membership! I was told at the time of signing up that if I needed to cancel my membership i could. I really didn’t have any plans of canceling it. But in January I had to fly back to India for work. And I would be here for awhile. So I went to the gym representative and she told me I couldn’t cancel but she would inquire and let me know. Next week I went back to workout and to inquire again since she never got back to me. I talked to a different staff member and he told me I could cancel it. He said I would still be charged for January since I was two weeks into that month! But he said the rest of the months will be refunded to my bank account. He then informed it was canceled. I have been trying to contact them since I’ve left because I haven’t gotten a refund and I think they just lied to me to keep my money. On the other hand I did go to the gym often almost 4 times a week. And the equipment is great! And the best time to go is around 10pm b/c it’s super empty and you’ll get all the space you need. No shower and steam is disappointing. But the fact they are 24 hours was super convenient! Overall though I’m really dissatisfied about binging lied to and cheated!
It isnt too busy. They have everything you could ask for at a gym. The only thing is that they do not have showers ,sauna , steam room or locker room like you might expect from a larger gym. I think these issues are made moot for me because of the excellent location to my home.
My biggest gripe with this gym is there’s ALWAYS Ariana grande or similar music playing at around 11 pm which is the only time I’m able to go. Who is this music for?! I have yet to see a teen girl in the whole time I’ve been here. I shouldn’t have to still be able to hear it over my headphones. It’s way too loud.
BAD COSTUMER SERVICES!!!I joined this Gym for a year before I canceled my membership due to travel. SNAP FITNESS continue to Withdraw money from my account for 7 months. I called numerous times to solve it, I was told the owner will call me back. Sadly NO ONE CALL ME BACK.
24/7 and nice/professional staff! Would be a lot cooler to have a little more space and showers and sauna but I’m spoiled being from a diff town w a lot more options. For Atlanta living on a medium budget, this place rules. No complaints; nothing but a 5 star experience for me.

2022-05-11Ive worked out at over 470+ gyms across the world and can proudly say Snap Fitness Atlanta Glenwood Park is a TOP TIER GYM.[11/10] Cleanliness: I dont think Ive ever seen a gym where there is a staff member on rotation EHOH (every hour on the hour lol) cleaning. Its spotless. They set a precedent for members to pick up their weights and wipe off their equipment. I felt so safe here during the pandemic![10/10] Equipment: In all my years of gym hopping Ive never seen some of the equipment available in this gym. They thought of everything. Its very inclusive for all skill levels. I dont sense gymtimidation here. Its made training here a breeze for cutting, bulking to conditioning seasons. From athletic training conditioning tools, BEAUTIFUL (clean)black turf, fresh stack of KBs, ENDLESS HIGH QUALITY Rogue plates/bars/racks, ropes, DBs, cables, GHD to HYPERICES! I cant believe this price point for this amount of accessibility.Only downside is maybe that there isnt a pre-set up bench press? But Ill take the hip thrust back bar insert as a way better exchange.[12/10] Community & Staff: From Darrius, Tiffany, to Derek Im always so impressed by their compassion and drive to support their members growth. Whether its a kind welcome, motivation to push through or randomly sharing tips to upgrade my workout theyre always the greatest start to my day!*Ladies - This might be the first gym in ITP Atlanta where I havent encountered creepy men. The women here are so kind and supportive! Everyone is in their own zone, respectful, kind and will hype you up once youre a consistent face. Ive done great networking with business leaders in this gym.[7/10] Location/Parking: Location is so safe and accessible! The location looks small from the outside, but its HUGE on the inside. Parking isnt ideal, but if you get there early you can park across at the lot next to Emmys or find street parking between Enso/Kroger!What you dont get: Sauna, ShowersWhat you get instead: A gym YOU WANT to consistently show up to and build into your healthy lifestyle routine.Highly recommend.

2022-05-17Darius and Co. know how to run a gym. This is the perfect neighborhood spot for a workout -- it has everything you need for heavy lifting and serious cardio, all in a great-sized space with wonderful folks running the place. The equipment selection is amazing -- they have an abundance of squat racks, free weights, unique and traditional machines for weight training and cardio, and warm-up/recovery space with foam rollers and massage gun devices -- and its always clean. And, although mundane, its worth mentioning that contract terms such as monthly fees and club enhancement fees are also clearly and conspicuously communicated so as not to catch anyone off-guard. This gym deserves all of the love and positive attention that is coming its way.

2022-04-25I love going to this location, plenty of squat racks and over just very well put together. Sadly I moved so I dont get to visit this location as often as I would like but I always recommend this location to anyone looking for a gym. It does tend to get pretty crowded though so if youre looking for a quick workout Id say plan ahead to come during non-peak hours, especially if youre new, just so you dont feel too overwhelmed.

2022-06-19I’m giving Snap Fitness Glenwood one star due to their hidden fees. I was a member for approximately 8 months when the monthly deduction on my statement suddenly increased with no warning. I had difficulty getting an explanation so I asked my lawyer to get involved. Turns out they have something called a ‘gym enhancement fee.’ I thought my standard monthly fees covered gym enhancements. I can assure you they did NOT tell me about it when they reviewed things when I became a member. Also, I belonged to another Snap Fitness (for 3 yrs) and never had this issue.I protested payment of the gym enhancement fee - they resisted but eventually gave in. I canceled my membership at Snap Fitness Glenwood - I will not do business with these folks.

2022-04-13Clean gym with a lot of different equipment. What this gym has that many other big box gyms dont: lots of squat racks that are able to handle CrossFit style workouts, a TRX system, and resistance bands. What I wish it had: more varied group classes (especially spin). Overall, pretty happy with this gym and its flexibility for the price. You just have to plan your workout time if youre driving to get a nearby parking spot and avoid how congested that area is starting to get!

2022-04-05I was all in favor of supporting this neighborhood gym (and forgiving the old equipment, lack of staff, etc.) until I became aware of their hidden fees. Youll be surprised when you suddenly see an additional $35 Club Enhancement fee on your bank statement. What?! Who charges a Club Enhancement fee? They very proudly defend it by showing you the fine print of the agreement. Funny, they never mentioned it when they reviewed the policies and procedures on day one. Bye bye Snap Fitness Glennwood. I will not do business with folks like this.

2022-01-22I absolutely love Snap Fitness at Glenwood Park. Not only do they have numerous cardio and strength training equipment but also areas for HIIT workouts which I love. Darius is an amazing manager and keeps the gym orderly and in peak condition and cleanliness. Fitness Coaches Dean and Tiffany are not only extremely skilled in personal fitness but are kind and friendly. Best gym in Atlanta hands down!

2022-07-01Went to this gym for 5 years. random increase of prices that doubled monthly rate. staff/trainers are amazing. the part owner Jack is rude and deceitful. gym has become more of a boutique in the last few years. do yourself a favor and go down the street to village fitness. price is half of what snap charges and actually has designated parking so you’re not circling the block for 10 minutes like you will be here.

2022-05-12I go here almost everyday and always get greeted by the staff. Especially the general manager Darius Berry. He is always happy to give tips and help out with any questions I have. This is a very clean facility. The people who come here and the vibes it gives off is great.

2022-05-20Love this Snap location. Perfect size, with all the equipment I need. Being able to access it when my schedule allows is awesome. Added plus is the staff, Darius and the crew are great.
