We stayed here for 3 months. Every staff member including the housekeeping staff, maintenance staff and management were incredible. They frequently went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied. This is a clean, well maintained and very safe hotel. The rooms are very quiet, you never hear your neighbors. They even cared when I got sick during our stay and got me a card and teddy bear. A true home away from home. Yes some cleaning ladies speak Spanish but they use there smart phones to communicate, how nice is that! The one bedroom suite was perfect, comfortable bed,nice bath and shower pressure, great hot water. No complaints at all. Even the first meeting, check in went smoothly. Thankyou for the exceptional stay. I will miss you all.🤗😭🥰

So I was in town for training, got in really late, the woman at the front desk scared me when she said they may have cancelled my reservation. I just waited for her to check before I reacted and everything worked out, we chatted for a while, very nice woman. I was suppose to have a 1 bedroom but got a standard suite. I do not blame them, but I blame the company that booked my room. The room was wonderful, I like that they put the shampoo, conditioner, and soap in a holder in the bathtub. My room was very clean, bed and cover was very comfy. They give you a complementary bag of popcorn in your room. What I didnt use but witnessed others using was their laundry basket to get there wash done in the laundry room and others worked out in the gym. Would recommend you stay here.

It was a very nice place! The girls at the front desk were very nice and sparked up a conversation with my boyfriend and I a few times. The hotel and the room were both very clean and smelled nice. It is right off the highway, so you can get on nice and quick, but its still nice and quiet. It is a pet friendly hotel. I didnt know that going in, so I was a little surprised when I heard a dog bark a few times. If dogs barking would upset you, then maybe this isnt the hotel for you. My boyfriend and I didnt mind, but just giving a heads up! I would stay at this hotel again! :)
First visit so nice, we stayed there twice. We were on our way north to see family. Stayed here, very pleased. On the way back home, we chose to stay here again for 2 nights.I highly recommend this place! Very clean, staff very friendly. We will absolutely stay here again for future trips!

If you’re looking to stay somewhere on the nicer side for an extended period of time and you don’t have unlimited cash, this is a really great place. The price goes down the longer you stay there. The suite units are like little apartments with weekly cleaning, room service, and access to free washers and dryers if you do your own laundry. Book your suite in advance though, they rarely have suites available same day.
We stayed here two days and it was a pretty good experience. We rented a few games from the front desk, we cooked. Everything was clean. From the dishes to the rooms, sheets on the bed & the bathroom. It was in a decent area as well. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend and we will be back again!
Extremely nice lady at the front desk for check in. She does her job very well. Room was nice and clean. Room was about $90-$100 after taxes but they dont serve breakfast at all, nothing. I was notified after I checked in that they were doing some type of construction/maintenance in the morning. Housekeeping was vacuuming the hallway at 9 in the morning. With my do not disturb sign on the door housekeeping & management knocked on my door at 10am & asked me if I was checking out at noon. I told them at check in that I was checking out the next day. Not coming back
Love this hotel! Suite was clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and responsive, with the front desk worker bringing a hair dryer to our room herself because the other staff was busy. Nice exercise/ pantry/lounge type area. Ample parking, close to shopping and some great restaurants.
This place was better than I expected. Ive been to numerous hotels in Atlanta. And this place definitely took the cake. The only issue was the dishwasher kept leaking in the room and the maintenance worker died so it had to wait to be fixed but other than that I had a great stay. The staff was very welcoming. And always ask to make sure your needs were met. The manager was very diligent in handling any probabem that arose so all I can say is Ill definitely be back!
Decent hotel, but not up to the industry standard. Breakfast is very simple, not what I expected. Rooms were a bit on the dingy side. The desk staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. AC unit was very noisy and the toilet leaked all night causing much noise. I mentioned it to the front desk that it kept me up all night and the clerk just shrugged his shoulders.

Great staff! Let friendly as well as the staff were great during my 2 week stay! They also have washer and dryers downstairs at no cost which was awesome... The grill and Grilling area off to the side was wonderful to use and overall I just had a wonderful stay with them!
Overall good for the price. Staff is nice. Rooms are Remodeled. No breakfast. Smells like cigarettes in the elevator. Our sheets smelled, we had to take them off ourselves, very disappointing. Channels are limited. I dont like that the kitchen wash room and gym is in one big room.
ScoreCard: A-This is the hotel you want to stay in for long term or short term. The staff are very friendly at the front desk and the hotel is very well maintained. The rooms are updated and I love we have kitchen with fully function electric stove! After long flight I was very tired and I slept like a rock! I strongly recommend this place. The location is great and if you have a huge appetite like me, the area is surrounded with all variety of food and restaurants.
The outside may look dull but when stepping inside the door it was amazing and nice, it has handicap which is extremely great .. everything in the room is handicap. If you order a certain room it will have a couch with a pull out bed and it is very nicely clean , no bugs or anything, didnt find one. The vent above the shower may be a little dusty though..the vents its not in the shower though its like before you walk in the shower look up .. or it couldve just been our room .. Anyways overall it was a great hotel.
Very nice place. I stayed here two months while waiting to move into my new place. Definitely worth the money in comparison to other hotels in the area. I paid a pet fee for one day for my puppy and they never made me pay again. Friendly staff. Was glad I could cook my own meals there is as well. Overall Id definitely recommend for short or long term stay.
Very nice suites, bedroom, living room with a pullout bed,, a recliner u can sleep on also. kitchenette with everything you need, place was very clean and quite. Laundry room with free washing machine.Only nagative, someone must of been smoking pot by the elevator in the PM. it always smelled, I mentioned it to the front desk and they must of done something about it because it stopCustomer service was great, specially Greg in the desk.
The hotel itself is nice, the room was in good order except for the pull out couch which looked as if the bedding hadn’t been changed in years-stains, hairs.However, the staff are the winners here. Each of them were professional, kind, and helpful, all exceeding the IHG standard.They all went above and beyond ensuring deliveries from Amazon and Instacart were placed in my room or kept at the desk.I had my cats in the room and housekeeping gave me a magnet which alerted any hotel staff about my pets; one, to ensure the safety and health of the staff and two, to ensure my cats were safe and sound and not let out of the room.Several hours after checkout I realized I had left items in my room. When I called the hotel the staff had already collected them and made it very easy to get my stuff back.Exceptional staff!
Absolutely loved this place, Perfect location, very friendly/professional front desk employees and best of all... nice clean spacious rooms. We really enjoyed full functioning kitchen that included (stove, full sized fridge...etc)...I highly recommend.
The staff members at this hotel were some of the best I have ever encountered! They were accommodating and appeared to truly care about their patrons. I, a college student, had to stay alone at this hotel for a night due to a family emergency. Lynn at the front desk, in particular, showed concern for my safety and did everything she could to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Plus, the price for the room I received was incredible! I felt as though I was on vacation. I highly recommend a stay here.
This is the best hotel Ive ever stayed at, hands down. It was so clean! It cost us around $100 for the night and we had a room with a range tip, dishwasher, sink, garbage disposal, kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware, a comfortable bed, the best pillows Ive ever had at a hotel, a nice shower, free wifi, a huge TV, good cable package, a microwave, and a full size fridge with an ice maker inside. These guys think of everything! They even left us soap to wash dishes and soap for the dishwasher, dishcloths, a bag of popcorn, and a can opener. The staff were both efficient and incredibly friendly. Its in a great neighborhood with easy access to grocery stores and restaurants, as well as the infinite energy arena. There are a lot of Asian people who live locally, so the signs posted in the lobby were in Korean and Chinese as well, which I thought was very considerate and inclusive. I thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay and making a home cooked meal from a hotel room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area and plan on staying there whenever possible if I travel to Duluth or Atlanta.

We had a reservation to stay there for the weekend of 9/22-9/24 for my husbands graduation. I chose the hotel because of the good reviews I saw. Well I wouldnt recommend that anyone stay with any of there hotels because of this one. They called me on the date of our arrival saying that they were cancelling our reservation. The general manager was rude and the other staff members. Luckily I was able to find a room at another hotel at the last minute. So thanks Candlewood Suites for nothing. Good customer service goes a very long way. Unfortunately this hotel doesnt have that. If I was able to you would get a definite negative 5 stars from me.
Ive stayed at this hotel for more than 500 days over the past two years and loved it. Lately there seems to be a problem with providing hot water. After several attempts to discuss with management I was told there is nothing wrong. When you turn the valve to full hot and the water is just warm there is a problem. Ive checked the temperature over the past several days and most of the time its less than 100 degrees. So if you like a good hot shower then you probably dont want to stay here!
I love Candlewood Suites but we did have an issue when checking in. We went to our room and the key didnt work. We also noticed the busy dont disturb sign on door. We assumed someone was in there. We went down to front desk to let them know and they just programmed the keys again. Sure enough, the key worked but the room was occupied. I was a little put off that they didnt open the door when we said that somebody was in there. I sure would hate it, if it were my room and they reprogram the keys and someone was able to walk in on me or steal my things. However, we went to the front desk for a third time and they were very nice. They were able to put us in another room for half the price. very accommodating. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern.
I love Candlewood because they have very clean and updated rooms. However, I guess the amenities vary by location because they didnt have a pool or the standard free suite breakfast here, and I was a little disappointed with that. Also, housekeeping could improve on removing hairs from the bathroom. Outside of that, this suite is great for a short or long term stay.
We booked a one bedroom suite that came with a queen bed and sofa bed. They apparently overbooked those rooms but we werent notified until we checked in. They had to give us a studio suite, which wouldnt have been a big deal but it was me, my husband and son traveling and that only came with one bed. I asked if they had a cot my son could use but they only had a crib available. My son is 3 and couldnt even fully lay down in the crib. We had no choice but to find another hotel to book last minute. If we were contacted ahead of time we could have made alternate arrangements before we arrived in town.
Has everything you need for extended stay.Also very nice staff. The only improves needs up grades since its an older building. No problems with bugs or noise . Overall safe and good place to stay.
I was impressed. More than I expected in the kitchen. Mattress was comfy; so thick my feet wouldnt touch the floor!! The room was designated smoking (as requested), but you wouldnt know it except for the ashtrays. I was very comfortable. Id stay there again in a heartbeat.

I have recently had a terrible experience. I booked a reservation weeks in advance for a 1 bedroom suite for 3 nights. I am elderly and I drove 8 hours with my grandson to get to the hotel. When I arrived I went to the desk and got the key to go look at the room before I even got anything out of the car. I was very disappointed. The room they showed me was supposedly a one bed studio. It was small and certainly not something I would have reserved for me and my grandson to sleep in together. I immediately went down and talked with someone at the front desk and explained this is not what I requested and asked them to cancel. I was told that they could not because I did not do so the day before. This is not a simple case of not showing up. I drove 8 hours and actually came to the hotel. After back and forth conversations, They finally agreed to cancel the remaining 2 nights but charged me for the room for 1 night that I did not stay . I immediately returned the key and booked the rooms at another hotel. I think I should not have been charged the the one night because I actually showed up but never stayed in the hotel. Very disappointed. That was my last time booking with that chain. I actually also called the customer service line and spoke with someone.
Very nice place to stay. Lots of amenities like a laundromat, gym, etc. The rooms are pretty impressive. We had a room with an extra sofa bed, flat screen tvs in the room and main area, a desk, full-sized fridge and more. The only downside is that parking near the building can be hard to find in the afternoon and evenings.
Hotel was located in a very nice area...With plenty of stores & restaurants nearby...Rooms were fully equipped & spotless...Only thing I would suggest is a lil hallway makeover(Paint/Carpet)...Because it will have you a lil worried at first...Lol...But everything else is A+...Will definitely stay again!
We booked a room that was supposed to have two beds but there gave our room away. We had a bedroom with only one bed it made it very difficult for four people to sleep in it. They attempted to accommodate is with an air mattress but the air mattress was too large for us to be able to shut the door of the room. I was disappointed that they were not give us a refund or upgrade us to a different hotel in the area.
First floor rooms have a lot of hall noise and the bed frame in my room made a loud clanking noise anytime I moved around, but the rooms are well equipped for a short or long term stay! Staff is friendly and accommodating, they even have games available and kitchen appliances available for rent! The gym seems nice, but I didnt use any of the equipment.

Staff is hit or miss, either being super nice and courteous or plain rude. Room smelled moldy and could have used more work from the housekeeping staff with a good dust, vacuum, and getting out ALL of the trash. Bed was hard as rock with worn out lumpy pillows. Youd almost prefer to opt for the recliner. There was mysterious hairs found in one of the washclothes that I dare not imagine where it came from. Literally the only thing that saved this rating was incredibly sweet lady at the front desk.
Customer service is not great. I dont want to say its terrible, but its just not great. I made my reservation online for this coming weekend. MONTHS ago...March 2018 to be exact. I called about three weeks ago to ask to add on one more night. They confirmed that they added on a night and said that they would send me an updated confirmation number confirming my entire stay. I never received said email. I didnt think anything of not receiving email and just trusted that it was booked. I called yesterday just to confirm my stay for this weekend and needless to say they DIDNT show me having adding one night. On top of that....the night I added was now not available. That leaves me stuck without a place to stay for one night.Needless to say I found a great AirBnB thats closer to where well spend most of our time anyway ...so I booked that and canceled Candlewood. They lost my business for lack of services and for not booking my room correctly.
Free Laundy is always a plus...A grab and go breakfast would be nice for the money paid...Staff is great!
I am trying to figure out who is giving all of the good reviews because I have been to this hotel a few times and I will never go back!! My stay was not pleasant. House keeping does not bring clean linen until you check out. You have to beg them in the hallway for towel and wash cloths and yourre lucky if they give you linen that doesnt wreak of body odor, let alone stained with I cant imagine what. Furthermore, if you dont like the smell of skunk weed, then dont stay here because the halls and the elevator constantly wreak of it!!! This hotel is disgusting!! It wreaks of garbage and weed 24/7 and the front desk does not seem to mind because you can smell it when you walk thru the front doors!
I always stop here when Im tired or need my personal space. I normally dont have any issues but today I do. I checked in and got to my room only to find put the bed was broken. I called the front desk immediately to inform them that I had just checked in and was displeased. The desk attendant came to check the bed and confirmed that the box spring was broken. I didnt receive an apology nor was I able to move to another room. Im highly upset. Ive always had pleasant experiences here but I absolutely dont like the fact that I have to sleep on a broken by bed. This stay was a waste.
My night here was really nice. Bed and bedding were really comfortable. The studio suite is very roomy. Everything was clean and well appointed. Front desk staff were all efficient and nice.
This is by far the best place this far and Ive visited six hotels in all my visits. The staff are great the hotel was spectacularly cleaned every hour. I mean they cared about there guest. The manager was very nice as was all the staff. These guys went above and beyond to make sure that your stay was a good one. And because they did that Ill be sure to return

My hotel was very nice and clean, the new beds they advertised were comfortable and I enjoyed having the kitchen during my stay so I didnt have to eat out every meal.I am giving them a lower score because they messed up my charges on my account and have over charged me, luckily they were nice about it and handled my refund, but my refund will take a WEEK to be return and because they overcharged me my bank account was over drawn and now I have fees from my bank due to them overcharging me and of course they arent going to pay me back for that. >:|If I ever have to stay in the area again I wont be going back regardless of how pleasant the stay way. I dont want to spend my money at a place that used my debit card so wrecklessly.

We stayed here July 16, 2017 and have to say, it was the best hotel weve stayed in, hands down. Immaculate room, comfortable bed, and the staff was cordial and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and if were ever in the area again, we will be back
The room was great. On the other hand the staff was VERY unfriendly and not helpful at all. I was told to come in at 12:30 only to be told that there were no clean rooms available.I felt as if the staff members were very inconsistent.Other than that my stay was pleasant.
Checkin was great, the employee was really helpful and sweet. The room was clean and decent. However, I went with my significant other for a romantic date night and ended up freezing! The heater didnt work and blew out cold air. The checkin clerk from the next morning said hed give a discount next time I came but Im not sure if there will be a next time! Otherwise great place

This is only a good place if you like drugs and prostitution. The management here trys to sell you drugs. Was extremely pleased with the first impression from management but as soon as keys was turned over they instantly turned to rude people. The male and female clerks attempt to get money from you for favors and then they can be seen making out with same sex/different people in parked cars I can only assume it was for money. Gym was nasty, everything was dirty. I can see they tried to be modern but it seems they took modern furniture and went back to the 80s and dropped it off and 30-40 years later its here. The whole building smells like it came from the 80s and I think the dirt has been there since. There is potintial if a ton of money is put in but I canceled and moved hotels do to all of the very shady businesses deals being done between the employees and dealers.Now the manager is harassing me demanding I remove my reviews. I am requesting publicly that this hotel stop harassing me.
When we first got here this place was lovely and the staff wonderful to deal with. But its all a surface cover. We were told we could not renew our room due to them being over sold. Not sure how that os the problem of people already there. As when on a plan, if they are over sold it is not the fault of the people that already have seats. So we left and set up. a reservation for a new stay the following week. Mind you we were only told we could not renew 3 days before hand and that is only because my girlfriend had to go to the front desk to find out because no one would tell her over the phone that we could not renew.So we have the room booked for 60 days and they call us on the day we are supposed to show up that they canceled our room and we couldnt stay. There reason is we left the room Damaged. Mind you I was out of town for work. My girlfriend had to move from the room by her self because the safe only came to help after the check out time frame. They knew the issue and what was going on but only offered to help after the fact when they were told before hand the issue and said they would help long before the check out time.So they claimed that we couldnt come back because of damage to the rug which there was no damaged. And that there was damaged to a curtain which they can not show to prove that it was. Then the staff lied when we asked them if it was okay for us to leave a car there due to travel which several staff said it would be fine. But upon return they had the car towed and didnt bother to tell us.The manager of this hotel didnt even want to help out someone that worked for IHG and had a reservation at the same hotel and she told him oh well cant help you find another place and didnt want to help him until he called there corporate offices for help. So needless to say the hotel itself is very nice, though it lacks a pool, but the staff cant be trusted outside of a few of the workers who do actually go above and beyond to help you. But the rest are very unprofessional and cant not be trusted to hold water.
Have been here for 15 days. They provide lot of utensils, laundry is free. Very neat, clean and helpful front desk. You cannot ask more for the price.Good thing is they provide dish washing liquid, scrubber, dishwasher.
Beautiful, beautiful! Pricey, but with it! 24-houf gym, gated access after hours, 1-Br/1Ba and studio apartment - styled rooms. They have desks, full fridges, 2 stove top burners, microwaves, plenty of cabinets, and full-sized closets.Also, the floors are wood-laminate, and the couch in the living room has a pull-out bed. They actually have dishwashers! No oven, but you can rent a toaster over. Free Wi-Fi, laundry, and coffee! The prices start at $70!
By far the best candlewood I ever stayed at. Excellent suites with great new renovated furniture. The Internet is fast and very reliable. I honestly felt like this was a crowne plaza or even higher. Well worth every dollar you spend here.

Theyre a little specks of Blood on the bathroom counter and the toilet was not completely clean.I woke up to staff in my room. No cleaning cart no dirty clothes cart, no tools, so I dont even know what she was supposed to be doing but I thought about asking and all I got was excuse me excuse me excuse me from her as she walked away.

Not super cheap and very uncomfortable beds. Maid banged on door 3 time at 9 10 11 and check-out was 12. They have a service called pantry where you can buy your breakfast item such as instant oatmeal. Interior of hotel stinks inside. I good thing is it is close to interstate

The parking was free and they had nice suites. I thought the mirrors in their bathrooms were funny because if youre a guy and going pee in the toilet, youre looking straight at your genitals the whole time.
Bought my room through Priceline for a reasonable rate, however they tried to initial ly place me in a smokers room, once I came back and said that wouldnt work the attendant reluctantly put me in a non-smoker room, after that it was great, spacious clean room with a kitchen and stovetop

Honestly don’t know why this is a 4-star hotel. Customer Service was great and all but the room itself was kind of outdated.

2022-03-11This is my second time staying at this location ( traveling for work) and I’m happy I found this place.What I liked:*The staff was really accommodating*Clean rooms, hot water* Welcoming and love the fact that the lobby is always decorated according to the holidays☺️** I felt safe being a solo traveler **What I didn’t like: parking sucked at night.. give ‘em a try…. Hopefully your stay will be just as pleasant .

2022-01-18Great place to stay if you are in the area and will be there for an extended time. The kitchen makes it feel more like home than an actual motel and that makes a difference. Could not believe that the laundry services are actually free. In all the years of traveling this was an actual first for me. Although the price Maddy seem a little higher than the surrounding places after you figure in the money you save by cooking meals instead of eating out plus the money you dont spend on laundry (which can get expensive fast). This is a very reasonable price to pay. Add to that staff that are friendly and actually listen when you have a concern, I cant imagine staying anywhere else if Im stuck in the area again. Brutus and Rosie enjoyed all the extra attention they received as well, so thanks guys keep up the good work.

2021-12-31The pro1. Good location2. Good priceThe cons1. Smell so bad2. Nothing included such as cleaning daily & tooth paste & tooth brush & shaving blade & shaving creams, etc.3. Cheaper version of Inn although it says suites on the name4. No cleaning services daily basis although it says on the description.5. Smoking smells although it is non-smoking room.6. Marijuana smells on the aisles7. Noise from the next door or the aisles all night (Made me wake up although I am not a sensitive person.)8. Staffes did not wear the mask or protective equipments at all.ConclusionIf you are thinking the price is more important than others, reserve this hotel. If you dont find others although the distance can be little far and the price can be little expensive.I would not use this or the hotels which has the name Sonesta anymore.

2021-07-22The hotel is very clean, well kept. Friendly and helpful staff. The area is safe and quiet, especially considering it’s located right by the busy highway exit. I appreciated well maintained laundry room with new-looking washer and dryer. I was very happy with my stay and will definitely stay here again next time I’m in town. Highly recommended!

2021-09-07Everything is very clean and pet friendly. I’m here for two months on business and everything has been great so far. The staff are very friendly and I love the complementary laundry and gym. Tho I wish they had a pool everything else is good.

2021-09-12Upon arrival I was satisfied with the room they gave us on the 3rd floor. It was only for 2 days and I needed a hotel in Duluth and per reviews, this one was Good. As we sat relaxing from the 8 hour drive, a loud sound began surrounding us. At first we thought it was an airplane flying waaay to low above the hotel but there was no plane in the air. But under the window is an air conditioner and that was what sounded like a plane landing. We cut it off until we couldnt take the heat anymore, but we NEVER got used to this extremely loud air conditioner. Be prepared for it! The next morning I took out some eggs potatoes and sausages to make breakfast. Stove doesnt work at all. Wasted food and money. Jumped in the shower which barely gave any hot water and the shower head was very weak in providing any water at all. Bed was comfortable and clean. Room and dishware also clean. Didnt hear other people talking thru the walls but leaving the window open to avoid turning on the air conditioner attracted all kinds of car noises driving by and cars parking. Peoples voices outside carried louder from the window also. Very hard to get any sleep. Satisfied with staff who were friendly enough but disappointed that the hallway had large stains on the walls and moldy green carpeting. Definitely needs renovating. Most likely will never come back.

2021-12-13If you get for a discount rate they give you a disgusting smoking room and tell you thats what you booked I dont smoke so that they can charge extra for a non smoking room at booking there was no option for smoking or non smoking so the discount is fake dont get fooled go elsewhere
