We were visiting family in Georgia and my kids had never been to a Sonic. The food was okay could have been a little bit better. The lady who brought us our food was excellent. and made sure our experience there was the best she could make it . as for some of the other employees it seem like they were bothered to be working there didnt really care about their jobs or the people they were serving . I wish I would have remembered her name so I could have mentioned her in this review . but judging how everyone works there she stands out so anybody who has visited Sonic in grovetown Georgia would be able to point her out very quickly Im sure of that
There was a younger girl named either Bree or Makayla (the screen and badge said two different things) that was super sweet when delivering my food! She apologized for the wait time even though it wasn’t a long wait at all. She was the only one working as carhop unfortunately and was having problems with the ice cream machine.. I hope management can figure this out!
Beware of eating here. If you ask to get a burger fixed because a condiment was added that shouldnt have been, the fix is them just scrapping it off. They apparently dont care, cause I never got a sorry about the mistake. Used to like this Sonics, but now its on my places I wont eat anymore list😡
After placing my yes it was between 2 - 5 half off on drinks to get my order ready it took 25 min through the drive through and order onion rings $3.50 they gave me 4onion rings the size of a quarter they did not check it out before they gave it to me , they are very short staffed and cant get it out right
I will never eat at that disgusting place again my bread was burnt hardly no lettuce on it I asked a girl for some ketchup she said theres already two packs in the bag thats all we giveneeds to say I went to the drive-thru and got home and had the bad experience I didnt feel like going back up there arguing with him
Got there about 4 minutes before closing. She told us drive in was closed but drive through was open. We proceeded to the drive thru to order. Then everything we ordered she said there was a cook time. And they only were open for one more minute. She did not assist us. We couldn’t order and she turned the lights off on us lol. Will not do sonic again.
Love this sonic! Quality is always good, service is quick for me (although i avoid lunch hour rush) Staff is very friendly and havent had a issue in the past 3 years Ive been coming here.I eat at this location probably around 4-5 times a week since its very close to where I live. Thanks for the excellent service!
I love this sonic and the people that work here. The wait times get a bit long during lunch and dinner which is to be expected at a lot of drive-thrus. The only reason I did not give a five star rating would be sometimes I don’t receive the correct order, or I don’t receive my entire order. I actually had someone at one point argue with me over what I ordered saying that I was wrong and they were right. I know that some customers are rude and obnoxious, but I wasn’t one of them. Other than my own personal hiccup, their food is always on point. Highly recommend the conies and the breakfast burritos!
I have been here a few times for a hamburger. Only one time I got a good burger but the other times, I had burgers that were cold and tasted old. The fries were even cold and dry. Just had to throw it in the trash. I cant eat food that is not made fresh, so I try not to eat here unless I have to.
My wife and I have been going to Sonics for over 15 years. I’ve watched the new sonic cheeseburger commercial many times over the last 2 months. The cheeseburger on Texas toast looked very appetizing. I would give the commercial an A+, but I tried the new cheeseburger tonight and would give it an F. It is advertised as Texas toast but the burger received tonight had soggy, cold bread. The commercial also shows a sandwich with a lot of cheese. The cheese on my sandwich didn’t cover the burger. The bread was similar to regular sandwich bread, not Texas toast. The cheeseburger sandwich was smaller than the regular cheeseburger my wife ordered. Very.disappointing with the quality of this meal.
Possibly the worst fast food experience Ive had in my life (from the perspective of the dismissive Gen Z staff, Im old and thus have a wealth of dining experience to compare this to). They literally didnt get a single thing right with the order other than one of the sandwiches. It was such an adverse experience that I didnt bother to check the bag, because I was highly motivated to leave.
Items from the menu are okay when you actually get the correct thing you ordered. Service is typically super rushed and not friendly at all. Ive watched/heard who seems to be the manager chastise the employees using derogatory language in front of me loud enough thru the closed window for my elementary aged kids to ask who was in trouble and why they had to yell bad words. With the way that manager person treats employees in front of customers, I wouldnt exactly be chipper with anybody myself if I were them. There is ONE employee there that is phenomenal, I wish I knew her name. She always adds a little extra to anything she says to you... Thank you baby, just a second sweetheart... That sort of thing.
Food has always been decent here. But the mixing up of orders is killing me haha. Been here 4 times and have been given the wrong food 3 of those times. So I give it back then I assume it goes to waste. Sad. Popcorn chicken tastes like the oil hasn’t been switched out in ages but the rest of the food has always been bomb!!!
Horrible! Ordered a kids tender and slushie and 1 burger on app. It said on screen Hezekiah was on the way out...15 min later no one. I pressed the button to ask about it and was Informed they had someone order 7 cheeseburgers in drive thru( which idk what that has to do with my food supposedly coming out to the stall) waited some more. Nothing. Pressed the button. Asked again then Jessica comes out to check on me. No food. She goes back in and makes it. Almost 35 min later we get the tenders and burger. Jessica was apologetic and I have nothing bad to say about her but that was ridiculous on the companys part. I would have left had I not already paid on the app. Poor service.
Gave a 1 star because my experience with my last three visits were very disappointing to say the least. Ive experienced Slow Service - Order with Food prepared Wrong or Left out Completely And I encountered a Rude & Sarcastic Employee. Needless to say I have no desire to return to this Sonic. Now or in the Future.
You may have had a bad experience, but I never do. I have had the best customer service experience in my entire life. I kid you not. My server was Jay. I am 9 months pregnant today and he saw me standing to place my order. He smiled and said for me to enjoy my drive thru experience at Sonics by sitting in the A/C in my car. He placed mg order for me and even helped me pay for my order. I cant believe Sonics has such nice people. This guy smiled the entire time like I was a welcomed guest. I was waiting for his smile to fade away. But it never did. He consistently helped me with enthusiasm and joy. Jay is awesome!!Promote him!Support his progress within the ranks of your restaurant.I am returning for more of Jays
The cashier took my order and never gave me my food after purchase while waiting seen her come outside and give another customer behind me their order. As a result the manager proceeded to come out screaming you people dont come thru drive thru for these items go to the park and sit booth. Wassup with racial overtones?
Very slow service and there were only 4 cars in the ordering spaces and no one at drive through.Worst strawberry shake Ive ever had. Didnt even drink it. They put strawberry sundae topping in the shake so it was like drinking sundae topping that needs to be chewed through every sip. It was gross. I mean come on... How can you mess up a milkshake people? Server was very nice with a great attitude.1
Great experience! Food was delivered lightning fast and prepared fresh-fries were hot, burger was made perfect. The server was great and actually came by a second time to see if I needed anything else! You really cant get any better than that at a Sonic!! My highest compliments to the team working there!!
Waited for forever for two ice cream cups. Even though the wait was long, I understood and the young lady taking my order was nice. A red flag should’ve been when their speaker was out. Anywho, got my order. Got home. Grab one of the cups and the top fell off immediately, then fell in my car. Long as it took, I would think the top would be secure. Not sure what was going on today but, the time could’ve been managed better so that they won’t have to throw orders together quick as possible.
I ordered a mini Oreo Sonic Blast and received a mini cup of vanilla ice cream with no more than 2 crushed Oreos. It looked as if the carhop put the 1.5-2 Oreos on top and didn’t even bother to mix it. After paying over $4 for this ice cream, (which is absolutely unbelievable) I would assume there would be an abundance of whatever topping I requested, but not at this Sonic. Everything else was satisfactory.
Drive thru wait is a little long. Has problem with getting your order right. Went back to Sonic on June 01,2021. To give them another try the food was old the popcorn chicken was dried up. I also Order a sandwich it was disgusting I will not be back again service and food disgusting.
This place is usually pretty good, tonight though, it wasnt. Sat in line at the drive thru for over fifteen minutes waiting for someone to take the order of a car 3 cars ahead of me for someone to say they only had one person on drive thru. So we got out of line to do a regular order at the drive up and it took over 20 min to get my order of a slush and a shake. Apparently my order got lost somehow. We come here every so often, and service is normally good, just not on this Friday night.
Ive given this location several chances at redemption. I understand how the system works because ive worked for sonic before at a different location. My orders are always clocked off ATLEAST 5-10 minutes before they bring the food out. Tots are over cooked every time and or there is one or 2 things missing from the order that was extra that i was charged for.
This was the worst drive through I have ever experienced in this country. Service took 45 minutes, and we never received our shakes. The shake machine was supposedly down, but no one was told. There were a ton of people waiting for orders around this time. I wish they told us the machines were down so we could leave earlier, instead they had us sitting there forever without a clue. When we placed the order, a young woman kept getting our order wrong and we had a hard time hearing her due to the mic quality. She kept cutting off. I eventually corrected our order, through a lot of frustration in her end, and she insisted on correcting me when I asked for Peanutbutter cups instead of Reeces (which are the same thing?). At this point I didn’t feel comfortable ordering here anyway as I was unsure if they’d spit in our drinks after the unnecessarily heated discussion over calling Reece’s cups by the name of peanut butter cups.The situation only gets worse. We try tog I’ve her the benefit of the doubt. We wait until someone behind his gets their order before us. We express our concern, since we’ve been waiting for so long for our order already. The same woman snaps back that the ice cream machines were in the fritz and that’s what was causing the delay. Her customer service was shockingly bad. I’m still shocked she yelled the way she did. We asked her why they didn’t tell us (there was so many people waiting for ice cream. It has to have been down for an hour) , and she screams back that it just went down.I thought she shouted something else at us when we said we were going to wait any longer, but I don’t recall what was said. I was so shocked by this experience. Never have I ever dealt with anything so bracingly horrible in this entire country. It won’t stop me from eating Sonics in upstate ny but I won’t eat Sonics at this location ever. Check out their yelp reviews, a lot of people have the same complaints as us, if not, worse.I rarely write bad reviews, but I felt this one was completely justified and necessary.
I am so disappointed I have not had Rte 44 in a long time so I stopped in today!! It tasted awful, no Sprite was tasted nor the coconut, I also had a squirt of cherry in it. I didn’t taste it until I got home so I didn’t return to get my order corrected . A very bad experienceToni Heathman
I dont recommend this place at all. Went there today and they messed up our order and made us reorder what THEY got wrong and we had to pay again and they did nothing to rectify the problem,all they said was that theyre sorry and they hope we enjoy our visit. The nerve of these people! Stop hiring kids that dont care about the customers experience and hire damn adults!
Typical Sonic. A little on the slow slide all the time. Most of the carhops are nice, friendly, and professional. However, there are few regular car hops are just downright rude. Good luck trying to get them to fix your order when they mess it up.I love the order ahead option with the app! However, the app has some functionality issues and limited order options. At this location, they time out your order before you actually get your order. So you can be waiting a long time for your order.
It took so long to get a simple order and then they didnt have everything we ordered in it. We wont go back. This isnt the first time we had bad service at Sonic. Sorry for being negative but there wasnt much positives with our experience. I do alot of reviews and they normally arent negative inless it just plain sucked.
Ordered my granddaughters a corn dog kids meal with tots, got fries, corn dog was burnt. The hot dog inside the corn dog was old. Ordered a number one for myself, burger was sloppy, lettuce was old, cheese was not melted, burger was cold. Ordered a cherry slushy with cherries, not one cherry was in the cup. I got fries when it was supposed to be tots. People please get it together!!!!! I know I should have checked my bag at the window 😡😡😡😡😡 Give me my money back.
Today I stopped at this Sonic with the expectation of ordering burgers for myself and my wife. We were excited to eat delicious burgers without having to leave the car. I pressed the order button and we waited for well over 20 minutes before the attendant did not even attempt to talk to us and canceled the call that we placed. We watched as Sonic employees passed by ignoring us the entire time. We never once heard anyone on the speaker and my wife was so upset that she burst into tears when we werent allowed to order at all. This was the worst Sonic experience of my entire life and I will never eat here again.
Never had a problem but make sure you look at the screen first so you can correct any errors before you pay. There are still plenty of kids taking orders who dont know the menu. A few times Ive waited at the drive through speaker for several minutes without acknowledgement and decided to drive off. Whenever I see a car or two at the drive through speakers, I now know to just pull into a stall. Youll get your food before them, sad but true.
Service was terrible our server Lymetris was terrible no personality and acted like he didnt want to be there. The wait was long I order to go large on both order and his excuse was I didnt take your order instead of fixing it. I will never go back or recommend this place . Poor representation of your business!!!
Burgers and hot dogs are great but DO NOT ORDER BLASTS. They have little or nothing inside, and they charge for a small what you would get a large for a Dairy Queen. The service is average but when I brought the issue of my ice cream to their attention the manager blamed a new person and never once said she was sorry or offered to fix it. I had to ask for my money back.
Ive been to a lot of sonics, and Ive given this place a bunch of opportunities. Theyve never failed to disappoint me in some way. This time: Nearly a 30 minute wait on a mobile order, and they pack the bag so full that I failed to notice that they failed to put the popcorn chicken in the bag. This is not the first time theyve forgotten something from my order, but I think it will be last.
I waited 20 minutes in drive thru for 5 slush drinks. When I finally got there, the drinks were not even in a cup holder, she asked if I needed one and obviously I needed one, so I said yes please. By the time I drove home, 3 drinks were wrong! I had to drive back there, i parked because the line was ridiculously long. When I got the correct drinks, she told me to keep the other drinks. There was no sorry about the order or anything!
I dont know what happened but the last time I went was not good. 30 min wait for 3 meals nothing special and a pretzel that was burned so bad that the sugar wouldnt even stick. Burgers were soggy and just not seasoned or something. Drinks wrong of course! And this last time I ordered and couldnt understand the girl and she wouldnt let me finish before interrupting so she forgot my daughters vanilla shake. No big deal, just add it. She asked me to pull forward to wait on the shake and after 7 mins I wasnt acknowledged or brought a simple vanilla shake so I left and will drive across town to a different sonic in the future. Yall can do better.
Went there Last night and ordered 3 items. We were waiting for about 15 minutes. When we pressed the red button to see what was going on the girl that responded said oh sorry I didnt know what window you guys were at Mind you is wasnt busy at all.So basically they were just going to not bring our food becuase she didnt know what window we were at. This is not the first time Ive had an issue at this location. Last night was the last time we go to this location in Grovetown, GA. The service is no good. And the 3 quarter pound double cheeseburgers we ordered were FLAT, sloppy, and disgusting. Smh
This location is okay overall. Its the closest to my home but they tend to have slow service. I normally have to wait 15-20 minutes to get my order and at times they forget things like sauce packets, etc. and have told me its in the bag but it never was. If you are in a rush, I dont recommend them but if you have the time, its fine and always make sure to check your order.
Really enjoy this place. Reminds me of my youth when almost all the restaurants had car hops. My favorite thing is the pepper poppers. They are so good dipped in ranch dressings. Enjoy their hot dog, burgers too. Their BLTs on texas toast is delicious too. Great place to go if you want a sandwich and dont want to get dressed up. Oh, they have great specials too!
I only ordered a couple slushies and it took over 10 minutes to be delivered to my car. As I was about to go up to find out what was taking so long the carhop apologized and told me she was not my car hop but she saw that my order was sitting so long so she decided to deliver it.
Went through the drive-thru and ordered a small strawberry slush and a small grape slush for my kids. We waited in the drive thru line for 12 minutes, at least, and during that time of waiting, we saw 2 cars behind with food get served. The wait time seems to get longer and longer each time we go there.
Ive just had the WORST experience at this Sonic location. First, I show up to redeem food for a botched order and told it would be right out. I ask 3 times if my order is coming and Im told that it is but theyre simply backed up at the moment. After 45 minutes of waiting and watching people come and go, I ask again about my order and is told there is no record of it. I ask to speak to a manager. Roxanne identifies herself as one of the owners and provides us with the WORST ATTITUDE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! I have unbelievable patience, but being treated poorly and disrespected as a consumer is NOT something Im going to tolerate! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! SLOW AND DISRECTFUL OWNER (ROXANNE)!!!!
Absolutely the best Sonic I have ever been at! They get the orders on the spot, they are super courtious to customers, and they try their best to make sure you dont wait. No matter how packed they are! The bit you can see from the window is kept very clean, and its definitely the sonic to go to in our area!
We come here a lot, however, whenever we order they constantly ask us is that all...is that all after every item. Whomever is taking the order always talks super fast and we have to ask them to repeat what they said. The service is super slow, and 9 times out of 10 they get my daughters order wrong (plain burger with no cheese. Just ketchup.)
Just ordered a 6x boneless wing meal with no one in front of me in the drive thru. Somehow it ended up taking 25 minutes to come to me. And when it did, the tots were overcooked and room temp, and these were the saddest chicken wings Ive seen. I want given an explanation or apology for the wait. But I did hear some loud beats coming from inside while I waited.
I worked a double shift today, which means I got a 30 minute break. On my break, I chose to eat at sonic. I had to wait 20 minutes for my food after I payed. I was never checked on, and I did not even receive the correct food. I was late returning to work, and had no time to eat my food.
Ive always loved Sonic Drive In, even when I used to work for one. I enjoy the classic feel of carhops coming to the car and all. The food and drinks are always top notch, the prices could be a little better, but go on the right day, at the right time and you can get a mega deal.
Was just at the drive thru I ordered Sonic burger all the way with fries and sweet tea got home I had boneless wings, mozzarella sticks and a chicken strip sandwich and tea. I really wanted a Sonic burger called them to tell what happened they tell me that they tried to stop me but I drove off who waits to see if they gonna be stopped by an employee to tell say we have you the wrong order?
Its not that good. Ok i should have more clear on this now customer service was great the lil guys that work their were pretty awesome it was the food the hot dogs are always well they look burnt up and they are ruddery just old i dont think ill be back anytime soon so i am sorry about that
I will not return this was very nasty they take your shake out your car that you had in your hand and take it back into the place and pour it in another cup and give it back to you and the manager had to let me know that they say they do it to all the shake and drinks the food was very nasty very unorganized will not be back
When I say this place never gets my order right,I mean NEVER I am in the line right now and ordered 3 chicken strips and I specified just the strips I get my receipt and I see they charged me for a chicken sandwich instead so I wave Kailee down to let her know and before I can even finish my sentence she closes the door and yells I need strips. Getting my order wrong wasnt even a problem for me it happens all the time no matter where you go except chick fil a lol but I was cool with it. What compelled me to write this review was how her and the other workers go back and forth about how I was wrong and she heard me clearly say chicken sandwich and its not like theres a screen in front of me with my order on it......Yes there was a screen but my order was not displayed on it. Sitting in the line for 7 min and 16 sec I assumed waiting for fresh chicken STRIPS, Kailee hands me my order and says have a supersonic day before I could even respond closes the door again. When I pull off guess what I have, a chicken sandwich!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say I wont be a returning customer.
We have come here maybe 5 or 6 times since it has opened. One or more things have gone wrong every single time. Nothing huge, but every single time is frustrating. Theres no option to do a survey on the receipts, so this place isnt getting much feedback, apparently. It has been open long enough that they can get their stuff together and start doing better.
If you dont like the business of customer service then dont work at sonic. The workers there are rude and unprofessional. Felt as though they took longer with our order to be mean. Went through the drive thru and they served 2 other cars behind us and we didnt have anything special. It was unfortunate that people dont get fired for poor customer service.
Unfortunately the service at this sonic is terrible. They always seem to get my order wrong. The customer service is crappy. The employees don’t seem to like their job at all. They made me feel as though I was more of an inconvenience to them. I drive out of my way to go to sonic just to not have to go to this one.
So very disappointed in the size of their fries.I was the only person in line and my wait was 10minutes which was ridiculous!! People in line are in more of a rush then those just sitting in their cars. The breakfast burrito was small and not filling. I could have done better at home.
This is the second time Ive had a poor experience with this Sonic. They say theyll add a discount, but are snippy about giving it, and after they charge your card, you look at the receipt and theres no discount. I wouldnt care much, but if you tell me youll offer a discount, but 1) dont give it to me but say you are when you charge my card and 2) are rude when I ask, Im not inclined to return. They often get orders wrong, with this latest trip resulting in the wrong shake being given.
This is THE sorriest sonic Ive ever been too! Its very convienient bc its right down the road from my house but I swear EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there, they get something wrong. I wont be giving them anymore of my money and Im going to make sure I tell people how they are at this sonic. Im tired of getting charged extra for something that I ask for on my order and not getting EVEN THOUGH I PAID EXTRA! Its freaking ridiculous!!!!
I don’t think I will be EVER coming back to this sonic because of what happened yesterday night I was mad and disappointed because I ordered a shake and soon as I grabbed it and sat it in my cup holder the lid popped off and the entire milkshake spilled in my car nobody said anything didn’t say they would make me another one didn’t say sorry or anything all they did was look at me and just hand me some napkins usually I’m always a oh well type of person when it comes to food and I normally don’t complain but that right there ticked me off and I won’t come back!!!!
When we got home we realized that some of our food was missing . When we went back to get it with the receipt we were accused of trying to get free food . It was humiliating and the manager would not give us our food . She said we were like everyone else trying to steal and asked us , “ who goes off and forgets their food ?” .

2022-05-25Went there during a morning for some food for my little ones. I forgot how big the cheeseburger were but my kids loved them and enjoyed it. Place was clean, employees looked busy but at a fast pace. They were able to get the food ready in a matter of good timing and food was well done. I would come back and recommend to others.

2022-06-10My daughter and I waited 22 minutes at the drive through window. I was asked three different times what my order was, and had to give them my receipt so they could figure things out. Im giving a two star instead on one because they finally brought my food out and it was still hot.

2022-04-02The food is fine. They have a major issue however. Literally every time I order pretzels I have to ask them to go back and get the cheese sauce. Every time. You can look at the menu right now. Thats not a special request. Ive gone from thinking it was an accident to realizing they are either purposely leaving it out or dont know it should be included. Im not sure which is worse. I dont know what else is getting left out of peoples orders but they really need to check themselves.

2022-06-22Never come here at lunch. My small kids and I have been waiting 40minutes and counting for some corn dogs. Hidden messages to just make food at home. SmhUpdate:Yuck. Ketchup packets were literally stuck together with some sticky substance that got on my hands as I was trying to pass them to my kids...so I didnt. No ketchup for toddlers equals Armageddon....My bread looked sad, like its seen better days. It was extremely greasy looking so I assume whatever unidentified juice that dripped out of the wrapper onto my shirt was grease. Ugh.. definitely can make a burger a thousand times better..fries a thousand time better and the tater tots looked like the oil needed to be changed. Tired-looking. My hi-c fruit punch was not even ....just NOT. I dont know what it was. UghYuck.And I agree with another customer who said the wait times are BEYOND RIDICULOUS. And for no reason.Im inspired to save my money and cook everyday in the city of Grovetown

2022-06-23Honestly Im not sure what the particular factors are for this case, but it seems like the turnaround time from taking the orders to actually getting the food is getting a little long, particularly when you go through the drive-thru. It seems when you order food from the stalls it actually takes a little bit of shorter amount of time which is weird. And recently I didnt even get the full meal combo that I ordered and I just got the wrap. So my honest suggestion would be to just skip this Sonic, and if its the closest one just go extremely late at night where theres barely anybody to warrant the long wait times. At this point I would just rather go across the street to El kiosko and get better food with a shorter turnaround time.

2021-06-11I ordered from the app. The process was quick and easy. My food came pretty fast considering the large amount of customers. We tried the new cherry burst slush! For those who enjoy a bubble tea type experience, you will enjoy this.

2022-04-14Very abrasive person named Destin taking orders. I ordered a medium Cheddar Peppers and when I got them, the cheese in the middle was cold. I went thought the drive-thru to tell them. I was told to pull around. When I got to the window I handed them to her without her saying one word. She was gone for a few minuets and then a young fellow handed them to me without saying one word. Im a reasonable person, people make mistakes, but to be flat out rude is never a good idea for business. (I thought Sonic was suppose to be fun) The second batch of cheddar peppers was great, but I will go to another location for them next time.

2022-04-22The same guy who handled cash walked from the register straight to the shake machine and made some milkshakes. No gloves, no hand washing, chewing gum…safety and cleanliness need to be a bigger priority. Pretty disappointed.

2022-03-22Waited for about 10 minutes at the speaker in the drive thru without being greeted at all. I tried speaking to see if someone would respond but no one did. I moved to one of the parking spots, pressed the button, and waited for about 5 minutes with no response. By that time a car had gone through the drive thru and been helped. I went back to the drive thru line and still not a word from anyone when I pulled up to the speaker. I ended up placing my order in the app and just drove up to the window. My order was completed in less that 5 minutes of placing it on the app. I understand being busy/short staffed but to not be greeted at all in the 15-20 minutes I waited is ridiculous.

2022-07-20I ordered food from here and they gave me the wrong order. I called and they immediately said they tried to stop me from leaving. They gave me a remake order the next day. Customer service was very good.
