Convenient west side location; this restaurant was a great option for my vegetarian appetite. I was greeted with a warm welcome upon entry which is always a nice touch (especially for an ATLien. The hot buffet style options were behind a glass & served by kitchen staff. I chose greens, yams and mac-n-cheese. This vegetarian dinner included a small garden salad that was paired with a delicious dressing.Everything was superb! Very filling but bit in a heavy senae. I saved my 2 soft baked cookies for the day after and they were on point as well.Ill be back next time Im in the A for sure. My only complaint is the restroom could have used some attention.
I loved Soul Vegetarian in all the states that they are located...Especially here in Atlanta. The food is delicious and the customer service is great too. They make you feel like family and I taste the soul every time I eat there. My kids love the cornbread and tofu dishes. Sunday Brunchs Pancakes and Tofu scramble every time for them. The Juice Bar Is off The Chain Also!
The food was good. I enjoyed the chickpeas and black-eyed peas with rice, mac n cheeze, and cornbread. Service was good. This Soul Vegetarian is very different from #2. It is basically like cafeteria/buffet-style, but served over the counter, almost like a deli. The choices are limited, but this set-up makes for faster service, which is the only advantage this location has over #2. As I said, the food was good, but we were disappointed that there wasnt a choice of kale bone or country baked steak or any of those items as you would be able to order from Soul Vegetarian #2. Also, the salad was cold, which is unlike what we had at #2. The restaurant was very hot. I saw fans, but felt no air conditioner at all. Overall, this might have worked out better if I had called ahead and knew what to expect.
Delicious food, served quickly and hot in takeout servers. My roasted tofu with BBQ sauce and collard greens were outstanding. Yams were sweet and tender. Stopped here on long car trip (found out about restaurant on the internet) and will stop here again, if I get a chance. Personable, helpful staff, too. This restaurant could convince many a meat-lover that plant-based food is the way to go.
This received a 4star due to how expensive it is. The food had wonderful flavor in certain dishes compared to others but it was a well rounded meal with options. I ordered a dinner plate and a veggie plate with a side of Mac and cheese. Totalling $39. Eating healthy is not expensive (vegan and or plant based restaurants make it expensive). Most of the time from what Ive observed for a variety of items to not be organic surely makes no since to be pricey.
I recently finally gave this Soul Vegetarian a try. On a very stubborn day of mine last year I was upset I couldn’t get the combination salad and decided to just not eat at all. I was rude, I’m embarrassed to say.. yet their service remained the same -amazing! My fiancé ordered a salad anyway and despite my attitude, wouldn’t shut up about how great it was! And their service?Warm and sincere. This visit lol I’m a lot more mature and was prepared for their buffet-style set up. I don’t regret going one bit! I had cornbread stuffing, beans and rice with collard greens, candies yams, and their mac. Sooooo good. So worth it. That cornbread stuffing. It might of had something my companion is allergic to in it but it was so good he ate the whole thing before he could even feel the reaction! No regrets! The ambiance is so nice as well with REAL plants. And free alkaline water?! I want to eat at every SV there is.gosh I hate to compare but, try a SV before you go to Tassili’s. My stomach doesn’t like Tassili’s lol and SV always leaves me satisfied and refreshed.
My daughter and I ordered from here yesterday. Im writing this review while eating (enjoying) my leftovers! Everything was extremely tasty and we were given healthy portions. We ordered two dinners: Spinach quiesh, yams, rice and gravy, mac and cheese, steamed broccoli with cornbread and a salad and a detox juice beverage. Everything totaled $43.00. But keeping things in perspective, its all vegan and seemed freshly cooked. Well worth the cost in my opinion. If recommend this place if youre looking for some tasty vegan food in Atlanta.
Parking is limited. Love the service. You come in and go to the line and pick up your plate. You can then find a spot to seat if you choose to dine in. I cleaned my plate lol. Everything was delicious. The cornbread was a little dry but was good. A little pricey but is well worth it the price.
They have the option to purchase a veggie plate, so I got the Collard Greens, Cabbages and Sweet potatoes. The veggie plate come with your choice of a side salad corn bread, I chose to get the corn bread..Veggies were cooked just right not overcooked to a pile of mush...🦋very good visit.
Horrible customer service came in for delivery An was completely ignored. Once I asked for service the ladies became very rude Devin the oldest to the youngest. Atlanta has hundreds of soul food restaurants if you value being treated with decency I’d stay away from this place this disrespect is uncalled for
This is THE BEST VEGAN/VEGETARIAN restaurant in the South! It has been a cornerstone in my 100+ lb weight-loss journey for the past 2 years. The cold/raw bar is where I live. The MOST AFFORDABLE WRAPS in the city! I have heard the hot bar is top notch. Serving VEGAN SOUL FOOD you MUST try it. Connected to the restaurant is a smoothie bar. Im always getting the SEA MOSS smoothie but it gets BETTER. They also serve VEGAN ICE CREAM AND VEGAN CINNAMON ROLLS😜 . The point of it all GO SAY HELLO AND GRAB A PLATE. YOU WILL THANK ME!! This is a half eaten wrap, Kale salad, mock chicken salad, broccoli and cauliflower salad, tomatos, cucumbers, veganaise, house dressing, cayenne pepper all on a spinach wrap!👍💜😜
I love supporting black business so I was willing to give this place a try. I went into this establishment with no expectations and was still disappointed by the food. Ill spare you the details, but nonetheless I definitely wasted my money. I actually threw it away. I hate to tear down a black business but I just thought Id save yall some time and money.
Food wasn’t made with love. This fact could be tasted. A plate with 3 sides and an entree was $20. Wasn’t worth it. Everything had a burnt taste. Eh. Maybe the second location is better but no matter the location, consistency is key to keeping customers. Not impressed.
Food is decent and portions are hearty but the service leaves something to be desired. They dont seem happy to be there nor do they seem happy to have you there. Ive been about 3-4 times and all the times the service was lukewarm at best. Its set up to be cafeteria service style for takeout orders so they literally just have to scoop the food into your container and check you out. It should only take 5 minutes. But every time Ive gone, it takes 20+ minutes even with one or two people in line.On one occasion, the lady behind the food counter was cleaning some spoons or something for about 10 minutes with her back turned without ever acknowledging that there were people waiting in line. A young man came from the back, didnt acknowledge customers, spoke to the lady and went right on back. I finally said something and when the lady was good and ready, she turned around to help us like we were bothering her.Another time I went, I asked the young lady if I could see what all they were serving so I could choose. The young lady opened the lid on the first pan, didnt say what it was until I asked her. Then I had ask her to open each subsequent lid each time and had to ask her what it was each time. It was like pulling teeth.I gave it a few chances thinking it was a one time thing but its definitely just the energy there. I dont want to spend money where I feel like a bother, just not my jam. If the service was better, Id probably go back more frequently but not worth it.
There were three entrees today. Some type meatless barbecue, lasagna, and quiche. The sides were collard greens, macaroni and cheese, candy yams, brown rice and gravy. I was told by the guy that fixed my plates that I could get an entree and two sides and it came with a side salad and bread, cornbread if I want it. So I ordered three plates. One with the meatless barbecue, brown rice and gravy and candy yams. The other with lasagna, macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The last one with just quiche, as it was an entree by itself. The total came to $32.09. I gave her a $50 bill but she had trouble giving me $18 back in change. So I opted to use a credit card instead. I asked her how much the drink was behind her and she told me $5.65 with tax included. So I asked her to add that to the bill and she told me it was $41 and something. Which I had to question because $32.09 + $5.65 equals to $37.74. But when she rung it up, it came up as $41 and some odd cents. Which, of course, I had to question, because I wanted to know where the extra $3 came from. And since someone in line had to ask me if I had enough money, oh, I went on ahead and told her you know what, Ill go ahead and pay the $41. I was going to give her at least a $5 tip anyway. So now she can just take it out of that. Then I noticed, that I only got one salad with my meals instead of two.
I am a truck driver so I travel everywhere and eat plenty of different food the pizza was not that greatThe best thing out of everything was the mac and cheese and the salad everything else was horribleThe only thing that would bring me back to this restaurant is the mac and cheese thats it
Great food! Dont let the area for you. I ended up driving past this place twice before I found it but Im really glad I did! The veggie pot pie with gravy was delicious. The rice was very good as well and the yams were sweet and soft. The portion sizes I felt were very fair as I was not able able to finish it all in one sitting. The only complaint was the city bread, was a bit dry and not sweet enough for my taste. But i did like how it was way too break apart and very crumbly . Worth your time to stop by and give this place a try!
I got the kale bone, collards, Mac & cheese, cornbread, & tropical drink. The kale bone a flavor/ texture that remind me of stuffing mixed with soy with gravy of top. Not bad at all but I’m not a stuffing kind of person so I wouldn’t get it again. The collards was your typical collards & I did enjoy that. The Mac & cheese was the BEST vegan Mac & cheese I have ever tasted & I have tried a few. The cornbread was dry. I took one bite & trashed it. The tropical drink have hibiscus in it & it’s delicious. The customer service is welcoming & friendly. The place does have a slight Odor like it’s a older building.
Great food most of the time. Maybe its just me but I feel like this is the only vegan restaurant I know that gives such small servings for the price. Most of the staff is very friendly. Love all of the veggies their always on point when I go. I always order extra veggies so it can be a good serving for me.
I really do like this restaurant & appreciate it being here. The Mac & Cheese has grown on me even though its Soy based. One time they had BarBQ Vegan Steak & mashed potatoes but they do tend to switch it up the entrees everyday. I do like the all Raw Vegan bar of mushrooms & salads. I felt very full & good from all of the food.
Met Amino and the team with Soul Veg at an event in Nashville, TN. If it’s not the food that gets you, it’ll be the people! The Jackfruit sandwich was unreal. They clearly put so much love into what they’re doing, and it shows. Can’t wait to visit them next time I’m in ATL.
The food was tasty but $13+ was way overpriced for the skimpy amounts on a veggie plate. Cashier with tats and facial piercings completed the sale then, without washing her hands, took a sauce container, dipped it into a cold salad with her bear-claw fingernails touching the food, then proceeded to eat it from the cup. Had she used a SPOON to scoop and eat the salad, I might return, but knowing hygiene isnt taken seriously, that was my first and last visit.
Food was discusting it tasted like dirt mixed with sticks .My date and I ordered the lasagna mac and cheese and greens . I mean after the first bite we spit it out and threw the rest away. It was so nasty Im in amazement at how theyve been in business for this long. I know what good vegetarian food tastes like and this was not it. If you want to waste 40 bucks on two meals go here.
Did not enjoy at all. The two main dishes they had looked like they had been sitting there for days so we decided to at least try the sides, that wasn’t the best decision. The macaroni and cheese had a burned taste, was dry and really bad flavor, the yams didn’t taste fresh so this place would be a no for return.
Wasnt prepared to see the set up so I was reluctant to order a full meal. I did get to sample my husbands food. Lasaguna, greens, mac n cheese, cornbread. All very good. Spices that were unique so better than other vegan soul food places. I had the split pea soup and that was good also, but it wasnt especially unique. Staff nice but service was slow. I would go back and get a full plate.
I’m from out of town and found this place. They didn’t have many main courses available at the time when I went. Everything had soy in it which is cool because it says vegetarian but ok the menu it says all dishes are vegan. I tasted the Mac and cheese before I got it. Taste test was good but a whole plate or spoon full of it wasn’t. The collard greens where good. The cornbread wasn’t all of that and I thought the sweet potato’s could have used some more seasoning. Been to other soul vegan places and the cornbread and yams are way better. They customer service was good. But just didn’t enjoy the food. Yes I am fully vegan
Pretty good food, and my tropical punch was amazing! I ordered the mac and cheese, collards and the tofu stir fry. Everything was actually much tastier than I expected it to be upon looking at it. Keep in mind I am not a vegetarian nor am I vegan, so my expectations were low. I got a good amount of food as well so the price was justifiable. All in all, Id go back.
The food was great! My fiancee did not grow up eating vegetarian or vegan food and he is very critical about what he eats, but he finished his entire meal and loved it. The only bad thing I have to say is that the silverware was not clean and the restaurant does not serve any beverages, but they have a juice bar next door where you can purchase a beverage. Those juices that they serve are amazing as well! I will definitely visit again.
The food is so good, you forget that its vegan. Plus the community is so rich youll end up hanging around for in the boutique or checking out the bakery, or the juice bar. The cultural enrichment is everything! An amazing display collect economy. Its really what weve been missing.
Shalom!!! The Staff is so amazing and so friendly!!!Such a big selection to choose from. I was like a kid in a candy store Lol.I sampled everything and that made it worse. The food is off the chain!!!! Mad flavor and seasoned perfectly. Thanks and hope to see you soon. How can I buy the Cook Book??And I’ll see y’all soon.
Great food, a little pricey. Loved practically everything I ate! The cornbread was a little hard, but the mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, and kale bone were amazing! It was clean and nicely decorated... Lots of. interesting things to see and read on the walls. Would totally come back!
The food is really bad, even granting that its all meat-free.It also costs way more than a much better meal would.Cant understate how gross the food was. The macaroni had the texture of coughed-up phlegm. The rice was completely bland. The gravy that came on the rice made it WORSE, somehow. Ugh, I dont even wanna keep typing all the ways it was bad.Sorry vegetarians, I know how hard it is to find a good food place, but this isnt it
The food is so good! If youre skeptical about it, give it a try you wont be disappointed. A juice bar is connected as well. Unbelievable. This is very relaxing area to me. Open your mind and try something different in your life. I ordered the kale dish with brown rice and gravy, steamed brocolli and cornbread. This dish did have red peppers and onions and I believe green bell peppers. Everything was seasoned so well I was just eating it. I had a Hebrew sunrise juice also. Go there, its so good and located in the west end historical area across the street from the Goodwill. One plate is about $12 for lunch. Juice is $4.95 I believe. Treat yourself sometime. You have one life.
I went to what I thought was the only location, turns out there are two and I went to the one where you cant order off of the menu. This one was buffet style almost where there were only two entrees available to choose from. They werent serving what I was hoping to order so I left without ordering anything. The staff was nice and told us to check out the second location but I was on a time crunch and didnt have the time unfortunately. I was offered a small sample smoothie cup which was really nice and tasted great. If I would have known there were two locations I would have gone straight to the other one. Hope to try it soon.
Love, love, love this vegan restaurant!!! Food is great and I know its truly 100% vegan. Not cooked the da.e area where meat was cooked just to get your money. They really care about your well-being. The rest of the complex has a hair and barber shop, a clothing store, a book store, a juice bar which is just awesome, and a banquet hall you can rent out and it holds interesting learning classes on Sundays and Wednesdays. Check in out.
Great food, great service, one of the best places I ever ate at! Definitely in the Top 10 best vegan places I ate at!I was visiting a friend in Atlanta he brought his girlfriend (both of which are not vegan/vegetarian) and they truly thought the food was incredible too! I got Lasagna (on special that day), potato salad, side of Mac n cheese and collard greens, all of which was some of the best Ive ever had. The Mac n cheese was definitely the best Ive ever had as a vegan, and it would be 100% passable at a picnic potluck if no one said anything (non-vegan friends confirmed!). The second I walked in I was treated like family, too. The manager is a wonderful man. The interior of the restaurant is not incredible, but we took our food and at outside. This place is phenomenal!!!!
Only two main course to chose from, customer service is very poor and rude. Just because youre in a urban neighborhood doesnt mean you over price your own peoples. Please dont get the ginger juice unless you ready to chock yourself. Never again keep the food and your unprofessional employees.
My first experience at Soul Vegetarian Restaurant. The Staff gives excellent service; they are very attentive to their customers. Additionally, the establishment offer cooking courses, health & wellness tip for detoxing, and so much more. The food was excellent. They give large portions. I had enough to eat at the restaurant and take another full plate home for the next day. The only thing I would add are a variety of salad dressings. I will definitely be coming back on the regular.
The food was decent, but not good enough to deal with the terrible service (Highland Ave Location). I traveled a good distance, picked up my food, drove home and realized it was incorrect. Based on how dismissive the young lady that waited on me was, I should have known to check before leaving. I called and spoke to someone briefly then they put me on hold. I decided to hop in my car and drive back while on hold. Meanwhile I realized that the line was open and that I could hear the staff. I drove all the way back (25mins) on hold. I got to the store and told the gentleman that I was the one on hold. I handed him my incorrect order. He stated that they were out of rice, and would I accept mac & cheese, I agreed. After a few minutes, he return with my order, and instead of mac & cheese, I had potato salad. Everything else was correct, so I just called it a day and left.
We were in town for a family reunion and needed to get some vegan breakfast. Food was very yummy and affordable for the amount of food that you get. Seasoned just right to where if you needed to add more salt, its because of preference. As I become healthier I do appreciate less salt. Everything had flavor. My husband did not care much for the sea croquettes, but I loved them. Keep in mind he prefers more salt while I dont. He loved the potatoes, grits, tofu scramble, biscuits and pancakes. I will definitely be bringing my meat eating family here! The staff was nice too.
My family and I decided to give it a try on a late Sunday night. Our food was good, we all enjoyed it!! The only issue we had was prices were not posted, so youre unsure what you are paying, unless you ask, I feel it should be posted. However, if you get a dinner you get a nice proportion, bread, and side salad... So Ill be returning for sure a little earlier in the day next time.
Delicious no frills vegan food! We went in and ordered at the buffet school lunch style serving area. The woman serving was incredibly pleasant and helpful. They had vegan Mac n cheese, vegan pizza, vegan BBQ... It was all fantastic. The eat-in experience is zero waste, no napkins or straws given out without asking and the staff is all super accommodating. Dinner meal special was about $13 for an entree and two sides. Definitely a fantastic pick for a laid back vegan experience!
I went for the first time today. The customer service was great and the two people I encountered were really kind.... Thank youThe Mac n cheese, greens, yams and cornbread was different. I cant say it was great but certainly not bad. Overall, I think the staff and food are good. 3 stars only bc the building is super old and the presentation of the food was underwhelming.
I’ve been coming here for a few years and while the hot bar is pretty consistent, the smoothie shop...not so much. You never know when they’re going to be open even though there are hours of operation. I try to support but it’s frustrating when 75% of the time you go they are closed or are ridiculously late with no explanation. It’s unacceptable and inconsiderate to customers that take the time out of their day to come spend money with you and you don’t care enough to operate within the times that you post as a business owner. Looks like I’ll be supporting the business across the street that at least has the professionalism to appreciate the customers time, money and support
Good food, great customer service and pleasant atmosphere. Soul Vegetarian Restaurant has been around since long before becoming vegetarian was popular or trendy. Its a good choice for those who are newly vegetarian and people who want food that emulates the taste of traditional soul food without the meat or ingredients that you need to avoid. Try Soul Veg when you go to Atlanta and wherever else you find them around the country.
Good food, great customer service, black owned, and VEGETARIAN SOUL FOOD. Couldnt ask for anything more. The girl saying she was treated differently based on her interracial relationship is just lying. Im married to a white man and the customer service was great. Yes the furniture is older and the water is warm but this is a great place over all
Pros: The Food, Polite Staff, Sanitary RestroomsCons: Everything ElseThe food was pretty good, especially if you are vegan and want to experience soul food. However, it felt very difficult to receive customer service. We werent given water for a while until we asked, we werent ever given refills, and we never saw anyone again to ask for assistance during our meal. Additionally, we werent helped at all with the menu or dining procedures specific to the restaurant, which was not an order at the table place. We are used to much more helpful and welcoming service at vegan restaurants.
This restaurant is open on Saturdays . Vegan comfort food that is so delicious! The Mac and cheese is out of this world! Staff is very friendly and atmosphere is comfortable. Service is cafeteria-style with a choice from two entrees and several sides. Portions are very generous. Our family will definitely return!
Ive never eaten anything here that tasted good. The mac and cheese is a big no for me. The second and last time I came here, it took the server until I was almost done eating to bring me BBQ sauce for my food and straws for my and my friends water. The staff and patrons all seem to be friendly, which is cool, but I come to a restaurant for quality food and service not to make friends.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! I use to support this business frequently!!! Some of the employees know me by name and face became of how frequent I used to eat here. Their Uber eats tend to have frequent mistakes. They messed up my order and then tried to put the blame on me by saying they don’t normally handle orders over the phone. But I called to reiterate my order to make sure that they wouldn’t mess it up like the times previously. Then they still forgot a portion of my order that I paid Uber eats for and the manager told me that either I just get my refund or wait until the restaurant closes and he’ll try to deliver it. Who wants to wait until the restaurant closes to have your order completed? I asked that since they messed up I can place another order and they can compensate the delivery fee to finish my original order and they declined. In order to make an Uber eats purchase you have to call the restaurant because the app doesn’t provide you with the daily entree because they change it daily. So I called them recently to make a new order after all of that and a woman answered the phone and hung up when she recognized who it was because of her being the culprit of making the mistake on my previous orders. I even heard her tell an employee that the phone is going to continue to ring and do not answer. I’m an African American and I like to support black owned businesses but this is not the one to do so. They have lost a loyal customer in me.
Awesome! At first I was like what? My friend purchased me 2 different shot of juices she has. After that... Im so hooked. She have these shot drinks such as Ginger, turmeric to die for. The smoothies are awesome! All worth the money and the customer service is aaawwweesome! A must try. Keep up the good work.
This use to be a nice place, but on last Sunday they were 1 hour 45 mins late opening & a woman was very smug in telling us that there wasnt any food ready. She gave no apology for leaving a pregnant woman outside for almost 2 hours. Bad She always has bad customer service skills.
I keep trying to support this place but please read your reviews and make changes. I never been to the highland location but it seems that the highland location is managed better. Im thankful for vegan food in a neighborhood where options like these are rarely available. The juice bar is amazing. The food is a hit or miss. There is no dedicated cook so the same dishes will taste different each time you come. There have been times when complete slop has been served. The food is way to over priced for the poor quality. The conditions of the establishment are sad. I dined in while the air conditioning was broke and requested that the fans be turned on to their highest speed and was told the fan is on. Not to mention they didnt have any ice. They also change the menu a lot and never have favorites that you enjoy. Customer service can use a lot if work as well. With this neighborhood gentrifying, they better step up before they are pushed out.
The food was simply fantastic. The people serving the food were friendly and this was a great experience. We werent able to eat inside due to CoVid19 and I wish we could have because the ambiance seemed so inviting. This is definitely a place that you should check out. Even if youre not vegan or vegetarian, its good to find food thats healthy for you, yet doesnt taste healthy. Lol 😉
Our food was delicious, visually appealing and....delicious! My family and I are transitioning to Veganism and Id heard about Soul Vegetarian for years. I finally had it and it DID NOT disappoint. It is a little pricey, but that is to be expected at a Vegan restaurant. This is not fast food where 99% of the menu is unhealthy and not even what you think it is.
Went in july of this year during the pandemic and they didnt skip a beat!I was visiting out of town and got a carry-out of : steam broccoli, sweet potatoes, greens, vegan macaroni and cheese, plus that fat azz piece of cornbread! I smashed real good in my hotel room !.....im glad they was still open!..im going back went I get back in town!!
Food was not very good and the staff were not friendly and bickering back and forth. It was uncomfortable experience that took about 30 minutes. I will say the cookies are great! It felt like walking into a new friends home with family cooking and you just have to figure it out. Not the best atmosphere for a restaurant, but if thats your cup of tea - youll enjoy it.
My food was so delicious that I had to post this review!! The chef was so helpful describing the entrees, so I chose the mac & cheese, broccoli, black-eyed peas, and brown rice. My entire meal was flavorful, seasoned, and unforgettable. The price is kinda high but the food is worth it!! Will be back :)
Came to treat my boyfriend out to eat this passing Saturday with extremely high hope. Upon entering I found the restaurant fairly appealing but confusing since there was no sign telling us whether to wait to be seated or sit ourselves so we stood there for about 4 minutes until we figured wed sit ourselves. We didnt see any menus but saw a line where a woman was serving food. we got into the line to choose our plate, the food was not as appealing. The broccoli was browning a bit and there werent many options. The lady told me since I chose an all veggie plate that Id get the choice of a salad or corn bread. I chose the corn bread and never received it. Apparently after twenty minutes of waiting for it, it wasnt cooked yet and had waited for napkins also during the twenty minutes which she said shed bring to the table. Mac and cheese was bland. Rice and gravy was bland. Saw a table being brought veggie burgers and was sad to not be told there was a menu I could order off of. I see excellent reviews and it hurts that I cannot state the same. Bland food, terrible service.
Soul Vegetarian Restaurant in the West End has been serving vegan and vegetarian food for decades. The restaurant serves cafeteria style. The seating is comfortable and the environment is clean and simple. The prices are moderate. There is a juice bar. The restaurant is part of an entire complex that features a luxurious barbershop, a bookstore related to the Hebrew Israelite belief system, a spa with a variety of services and a large ballroom that can accommodate auditorium or fine dining seating.
The people were extremely nice and the food was decently price considering the amount that you get. The Mac n Cheese recipe was a little different than the one my friend had before, but very good. The Cornbread dressing was the best...especially if you put some yams on it. YES.
Staff is always respectful and courteous. I really enjoy the juice bar, my favorite drinks being the Sea Moss and Spurlina. They have authentic coconut water as well, which even some Jamaican restaurants dont have (Im Jamaican by the way). Ive ordered food (broccoli, macaroni and cheese & rice w/ gravy) and it was well seasoned. Deserts are also very tasty. I visit this place at least twice a week.
I went to Soul Vegetarian for the first time a couple weeks ago, and have been thinking about going back ever since I walked out the door! To say the food was great is an understatement. I ate the absolute best vegan mac & cheese Ive ever had, perfect sweet cornbread, stewed kale and jerk tofu. My only complaint was not being able to fit any more food in my stomach. All of the employees were kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Its so nice to be able to eat at a 100% vegan restaurant! Highly recommended.
When I walked in for lunch there was a bit of a line and none of the staff appeared to be helping anyone. I stepped up to ask an employee about it and he responded that we were waiting on more food to come out. As I did that another customer quipped at me that there was a line as if I hadnt noticed. I quickly responded that I was only curious about the menu and what the wait was about. She continued to take out her frustrations on me, another customer. I remained calm and let her do her thing. The food came out shortly after and the line started moving. When it was time to check out the employee who stood by while the other customer harassed me darted over. He said he appreciated me staying calm and not lashing back at her or him and he took 20% off my tab. His gesture is what made the experience better for me.The food wasnt what I was expecting from my experiences at another one of their locations and threw me for a loop, but it was still okay.
We have eaten at Soul Vegetarian #2 and enjoyed it so we figured the original location would be equally satisfactory. This was the worst experience I’ve had at any establishment ever. They are totally unorganized and the food was decent at best. It took 20 minutes for someone to take our order and that’s not the worst part. Supposedly they ran out of food but after an additional 15 minutes of waiting a magical entree appeared. Although we wanted to leave, our kids were whiny and starving so we gave it a shot. After getting the food, we waited at the register for a additional 10 minutes and no one came to cash us out. I said “F” it and sat my family down to eat after nearly an hour of “F’n” around in this line.Guess what we found out once tasting the food?!?!?! It was COLD.... not cold as if it had been sitting on the serving line a while... NO.... cold like it had been refrigerated just to see how upset it could make a customer. I laughed about it because it all seemed so surreal at the time. We could have easily walked out without paying because the place was such a zoo. However, I’m a firm believer that whatever energy you put out in this world is sure to find you. Plus I have two little girls that need me to lead them the right way and stealing isn’t on the leadership list. When I went to the register I was asked why I was paying for the food twice (LOL). I simply said I didn’t pay and satisfied the debt prior to running away from that establishment like a chase scene in a horror film.Sad that this is a recommended option for vegans. How can the community grow with s#% shows like this representing the culture? I wish google would allow zero stars so I could rate this place properly!
We came to this restaurant about a week ago on my birthday. It was a complete disappointment and dissatisfaction.I ordered the kale bone as entree with sweet patatoe and greens. Hubby had mac and cheese rice with the vegan fish.My husbands whole meal absolutely horrible. 15$ a plate. They give you one small slice of the entree. 1 scoop of mac and 1 scoop of rice. First of all for the price you pay the portions should be filled. At least 2 or 3 slices. ..same with mine. I ordered the Kale bone. The kale bone was tasty but it was very small piece. The most tasteless yams you ever had. The best thing was the greens. I was able to skoorch all my food in 1 compartment in the platter. Most definitely felt robbed. The flavor is absence. Vegan fish was disgusting. Mac and cheese really cardboard tasting. The staff were friendly. Parking was horrible. I felt hungry and robbed when we left after driving 15 hrs, i left there and went across the street to the vegan juice placeWe were starving. Will never return. Birthday ruined.
Delicious vegetarian soul food. I come here when I want a hearty meal. The bbq seitan is my favorite. Dinner includes two veggies, a salad, and cornbread. The restaurant has a lunch special which stops at 3p.m. There is a preset menu for each day. The main entrees tend to be soy-based. I normally dont eat soy for my regular diet, but make an exception when coming here because the food is so good. They usually always serve rice with gravy, collards, and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is awesome. Specialty juices and drinks are usually in the refrigerator on the left side of the restaurant, from where you stand in line to order your food. The staff is always friendly. The place is always clean.
WISH I WERE RICH!This is the BEST RESTAURANT ON EARTH. I would eat here daily, if I were rich! The atmosphere is quiet and quaint. The friendly staff were warm and inviting as they explained and detailed the dailymenu.Everthing on the menu is made fresh daily. I selected the lentilsoup, mac & cheese, cornbread, fabulous, slap your mama kale and a strawberry-banana smoothie to die for! OMG FLAWLESS!Mouth-watering, delicious, well-seasoned, and generous portionsall describe my wonderful experience. Please go now, and call me to join you. You will not bedisappointed.
It’s not a bad place. It’s Very welcoming and warm. The problem is it’s old, appears unclean and too old fashioned. I feel that the restaurant caters to an older crowd. Most of the patrons were over 50. But, this was a week day around lunch time. Maybe that changes..1.) The food preparer did not have gloves on.2.) when I sat down at the table, there was hair on the chair as if a dog or cat had previously been sitting there.3.) The table has not been wiped down and there were crumbs all over the place.4.) My dine-in plate: Yams, Mac+cheese, chickpeas + rice, and cornbread. It tasted like canned seasonless food. The yams were terrible and felt like I was inhaling cigarettes from a club as I swallowed them. The Macaroni tasted sour. The cornbread was hard as a rock as if it had been reused from the previous day. The chickpeas tasted canned and dull. The rice was questionable to be the microwaveable kind. All in all, a well overpriced $12.50 for a meal that’s worth no more than maybe $5.75. Terrible. To top it all off, my stomach was in knots about an hour and a half after eating this food. I didn’t even want to take the leftovers home. Vegan food isn’t supposed to do that. I blame it on the Mac+cheese. Unfortunately, the presentation was comparable to prison food (or what I imagine it to look like)5 stars for service2 Stars for cleanliness and awful food
I cant say enough about this place. The food was phenomenal and affordable - my girlfriend from Germany and I got literally everything on the menu and everything was so goooood. The marinated tofu is crazy good. Staff and service was so friendly, we ended up talking about the origins and community behind this chain of restaurants.Loved it, thank you for feeding us!!
The service was very nice and my vegan friends really enjoyed the restaurant. As a non-vegan, I only liked about a third of the things at the buffet. We didn’t realize that you can’t order off the menu at this location, and neither of the buffet options for the day (bbq and pizza) tasted good to me, unfortunately.
The juice bar is closed and the FORGOT to place my mac N chz in the bag! Smh BUT when I called AFTER we arrived home in Powder Springs they were very apologetic and worked it out. The food is ALWAYS delicious here and due to the pandemic U CANT eat in AND the juice bar is closed so the service is better than EVER!
Let me tell you, this Vegan baked Mac n Cheese was sent from Gawd, yes Gawd! One thing I dislike was the waitress bringing out my Mac n cheese so quick, knowing it will be amazing and knowing I will ask for more😫😫. Best Vegan Mac Ive ever had, ever, while Im writing this review I havent even tried the other food yet!!
I am not vegan or a vegetarian but when I visited Georgia I decided to try this place out. I absolutely loved it! I went during the lunch buffet and everything was delicious. I cleaned my plate! There is one in Chicago and I plan to visit soon. Staff was friendly and helpful and the place was quaint and clean. Go and try it out, you will love it!
Tried for the first time a couple days ago. I had the lasagna for my entree and the kale, and yams for my side items. The kale and yams were very tasty, but I wasnt a fan of the lasagna. The lasagna was made with soy cheese and whole wheat noodles so if thats your thing you may enjoy. I would definitely go back again and just order all veggies!
Both Soul Vegs in Atlanta are wonderful! This one is great for brunch or for their nightly buffet. They always have delicious vegan food thats priced well and is served in huge portions. Its a great option if youve eaten at the other Soul Veg and youd like to try to some menu options that arent regularly available at the other location (e.g., we had Vegan Lasagna at the buffet, which I dont think is on the regular menu). They also have a variety of delicious desserts. Dont be deterred by the area that its in, its worth the visit!
Went there to sample the food. I entered and no one acknowledged me. Staff was busy on phones and having casual conversation. The food was dry and not fresh. the pot pie would have been delicious had it not been drenched in that soy gravy. The food they served at the music festival i attended was delicious. Was very let down when i finally went to the restaurant. I will try them at their other location
This place should be renamed FOUL vegetarian. It was our first time in Atlanta and our hosts as well as... ah... Google maps recommended this place. For some reason, it had very good reviews. Lo and behold, until now we still couldn’t understand what in the world we just ate here. First of all, there’s nothing special to justify the good reviews and actually, the food is kind of horrible. The rice with gravy was disgusting and the Mac and cheese tasted worse than the instant ones you buy at the grocery. Second of all, horrible service! Third, there is no way to justify the prices of the horrible horrible food here. Way overpriced for what you get. It’s not even a sit in restaurant! You line up in what felt like a soup kitchen and staff is not very helpful.
I did not enjoy my first experience at this infamous restaurant. I’ve been a Veggie head for nearly twenty years, and I’m well traveled but this was by far the most substandard in the way of vegan and vegetarian dishes. The presentation was deplorable. Dining in was uncomfortable due to the heat. I arrived forty-five mins after opening on a Sunday and, again, the presentation was unappealing. The food was not that good for the cost of it. I’m not sure of the day to day management and dishes but it was not what I expected at all.
I really dont want to mislead anyone with the 4 stars so please keep reading. The customer service that we received was stellar! The women behind the counter were very attentive and helpful. The food, though, was very mediocre. I went in, based on the reviews, hoping to have delicious macaroni and cheese and delicious cornbread but I ended up sending the macaroni and cheese back and the cornbread was not impressive. The kale greens was really good, the BBQ tofu was disgusting, the yams were bland and the kalebone was confusing. If the employees worked at another restaurant, I would go there because I trust their service but sadly, Soul Vegetarian didnt win my trust.
I went on my birthday. I was super stoked to eat some vegan soulfood! As I walked in, the dining area was outdated. Nonetheless, I was still remaining hopeful the food would not disappoint. My host was not amiable at all very dry and jaded. Their water was warm and their AC was non-existent. I am in an interracial relationship, and the looks I received from the employees were very uncomfortable. The establishments background is religious, Hebrew Israelite to be exact. I know that SOME not ALL are Pro-Black and Anti anything else thats not Black. I definitely picked up that vibe there. Most of the staff if not all were Black and dressed in their religious garments. Would not recommend to anyone. Price is awful for the taste of the food and the energy was BEYOND negative
Food is great. Nice place for families, co-workers, friends, dates to enjoy 100% plant- based food. Prices are fair enough considering that this is a business and that this is not junk food.Customer service is key in any restaurant, hopefully they improve on that and quicker service.
If Anyone in their right mind thought this food was good, dont know what good food is. First of all. The wait was long as ever. They had the old lady serving food by her self during rush hour. The food honestly looked like it had been sitting there for sometime. They ran out of certain foods. When it was my turn to order. I got the veggie pasta with tofu sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. The veggie pasta had no flavor (0 soul)... Tofu was hard, mac and cheese was horrible. I literally spit it out. The only thing that was OK was the sweet potatoes. And that was probably because I was so hungry. I only tried this place because my Co worker told me about it. But I think I will stick to cooking my on vegan meals. Or wait to go back to Brooklyn for some real good vegan food. I will definitely recommend this place to someone who likes tasteless smelly food. Other than that The older lady was very apologetic for my wait, and thanked me for being so patient. She was sweet.
I ordered 2 veggie plates which consisted of greens, yams, broccoli & mac n chz. Everything was very delicious especially the mac. I also had a cookies n cream cupcake. Very moist. Yum! I went on a Saturday. It was buffet style - which I like, because I got view what I was ordering. Also, lady behind counter voluntarily handed me a sample of the kalebone. That was very good as well.
So I go in this place that I commonly frequent. The food is always good. I ordered a soursop drink they have and was dissatisfied with it. I go to them to voice my concern with the item with the intent to possibly exchange for a different drink, instead the older woman meets me with hostility and tells me, you cant exchange, Thats what you asked for thats what you get. Talked to me as if I was a child and didnt even look at me. No apology, no respect. Ive never experienced this at this place before. This was my last experience here.
Went here for the 1st time last weekend. The food was okay, not anything exceptional especially for the price. I had a slice of pizza, macaroni and broccoli. The pizza was okay, I did like the macaroni though. Would probably come back to try the different options. Took forever to get the water I asked for. The people were extremely friendly and nice!
Super duper soul food made by very friendly folks. Weve been going here for years. This is the more casual location with a buffet; their second location downtown is more of a sit-down, cozy place with slightly different food. They are both well worth visiting for vegans and vegetarians. Just thinking about it makes me hungry...
Gravy was gritty, rice under cooked Mac & cheese was bland, cornbread was hard and dry, greens was salty. Candied yams was okay. Please take this as constructive criticism to help maximize your potential and improve your recipes. Hopefully it will be better the next time I try it.
We drove down 3 hours to try this restaurant because of the reviews and we were not impressed. Food didnt have and flavor, and whatever was in the coconut water drink was straight disgusting. Was not even able to drink it. We drive different places for a vegan/ vegetarian experience and this was an epic fail.
An absolute Must Visit staple in the beautiful west end neighborhood, meals are always superb desserts are out of this world & it’s necessary to top off or begin with a smoothie from right inside the restaurant.i make sure to visit at least once a month for the energy 💛
First time here and I came based off the reviews. However I just did not enjoy any of the food. I ordered the bbq entree with greens and rice and gravy. The rice was cold and hard. Actually none of the good was hot. I honestly couldn’t stomach anymore. I’m really disappointed it’s hard trying to find vegan spots and I had thought this was going to be it.
Food quality has been inconsistent and lacking lately. I was disappointed to spend nearly $20 on a to go dinner, only to discover the kalebone was not to standard, the greens were bland as was the macaroni and cheese. They apparently have different chefs with different culinary skills and abilities. Sample before you buy!
Service And The Food Was Great. It Was My First Time Being At This Location. I Have Never Really Ate To Much Vegan Foods In The Past. But This Alternate Verison Of Mac N Cheese Was Great Addition The Brown Rice & Gravy Was Flavorful. As Well The Lansanga Was Light Filled With Red & Green Peppers And Onions. If I Am Ever On That Side Of Town In Again Ill Swing By For Sure And Continue To Support Them. Stay Bless
The food was very good. My concern is that for two buffet lunch trays one extra side and two deserts we were charged $49.79. There were no clear prices posted that we saw and we checked the menu on line afterwards the prices were no where near what they charged us, it appears we were over charged around $20.00 . The prices as they appear ,those I could see are $10.00 per plate and $4.00 per side. According to the price list thats two plates 10 ×2= $20.00 and 3 sides × $4.00 =$12.00 . $20.00 + $12.00 = 32.00. This doesnt includes drinks and water servers was basically none.My review is buyers beware!
Spacious seating, very friendly service, the food is great :-))) I loved the Mac´n cheeze, the cornbread, kale and pasta! The lunch special lets you choose multiple items and the portion is very filling. Thanks a bunch for making the break I had on the flight to Europe so enjoyable.
I must say their menu is unlike any other, but I stopped patronizing them for a few years because they took certain items off the menu. Also the wait time was ridiculous even after you call it in. I recently tried it again and was disappointed. My kalebone was overcookedand they told me they had the regular fries for the Hebrew bakes, but when I finally got myorder it was diced potatoes. I really wish theywould be consistently good, I would start backeating there everyday again.
Good customer service. I had the kale bone, collards, rice w/gravy and mac-n-cheese. All good except rice- gravy, check out was too slow, and the separate juice bar is an inconvenience allowing time for food to get cold. The $20 plate is too high. First and last time my question is answered.
I was so excited to try soul vegetarian. I do not travel to Atlanta very often. You must park at a nearby CVS parking lot, which I felt very uncomfortable doing. There were signs that specifically stated, CVS customer parking only. But I took a chance. I am the only vegan in the my household, but I got my family excited to try this restaurant out with me. Walked into the establishment, we were never greeted. There is this distinct odor just as you walk into the door. There are no signs, giving you any directions on what to do. So we picked a table and sat down and wait for about 7 minutes before we noticed people walking to a back area, placing orders. So we get up and get in line, still not knowing of this is the thing we should do. While waiting, we noticed what looked like a bar area. It appeared unclean. The buffet style food sat in these metal heating containers which I didnt particularly feel comfortable eating out of. My family and I made the decision to leave. I didnt get a chance to taste the food. I will never return to that particular Soul Veg restaurant. Maybe I will try one in a different location. Hopefully, the customer service, ambience and all are completely different. Remember, doing the 10 minutes inside the restaurant, we were never acknowledged! Please do better! I constantly attempt to patronize my black businesses.
Drove 2 hours for the brunch, yes I hunt delicious clean healthy food places, food was not hot, pancakes were not hot even though girl said they were being prepared, overall food was good I think its possibly great but for warm not hot food. I am trying Dinner next time when I stay in town.
I reckon the other location may be better....Very confusing layout for a first time visitor...No greeters, signs, so you have to figure everything out as you go. Not great for an introvert like myself. :( We got in line behind a couple already ordering to see how the process would work. There were only 2 protein and 2 side options. I opted for the cauliflower and Mac n cheese....Both were extremely tasty. However, extremely lukewarm. The flavors were all there..but the temperatures were definitely not where they needed to be to enjoy the food the way I wanted. I had no idea how payment worked, so as I was about to sit down and start eating, one of the ladies calls for us to come pay. It was just weird... Not sure if I would come back to this location...they seem to not care much, although my food was $9 and some change, the service was lacking. Not sure how theyre staying afloat with the current operations...
First time visiting and was next in line, some ratchet females comes in gets in front of me and the cashier didnt correct her and state that I was next and didnt acknowledge me. I looked at him, rolled my eyes and walked out. I should have known better being a black business you rarely have decent customer service. I would never go to any of their restaurants. I drove a long way for the food only to receive terrible service.
The food wasnt good at all. No seasoning,no flavor , I am completely vegan and still think the food was bad. The dessert brownie tasted like it was sitting there for a couple of days ,not good. What a waste of time and money. Also they kept serving me this hot tap water , that was tacky.
One of the best vegan resturant in atlanta, if not the best. I tell friend they will love the bbq strips and they do. Very excellent customer service. They made me realized that i was needed my fav red velvet cake and corn bread back into my life. True vegans know its hard to find. P.S. go here you wont regert it!
Went here for the first time last year (the one on Highland). Should have done a review then.Had the Mac&Cheese, CornBread, Soup , specialty salad, burger , sweet potatoes, and some other veggies. It was all so very delicious. Ive been wanting to go back ever since. Im not a vegan, but Definitely makes me want to be one. Im going to try the Ralph David location soon since its near my church.
The BEST soups! Everything was excellent!!😍 Lipsmacking delicious barbeque cauliflower!👅👄🍲👅 salads, Cornbread, mashed potatoes, greens! Yum.The juicebar has tasty, refreshing smoothies..if u are in a hurry..cant wait for a yummy drink? Well they have several choices in the refrigerated area of the Juice Bar. My favorite is the Irish Moss!🍵 Healthy, creamy, smooth, sweet, yet not too sweet..ummmh good!
The energy was off. I entered the restaurant went to the line the server just looked me up and down never said hello can I help you. I walked away picked up a menu and she then shouted Thats closed I looked confused she then blurted out they have stopped cooking I said okay. I then asked whats on the line she gave me a horrible presentation. I ended up getting the Mac & Cheese that I had to ask whats that. It looked like dressing/stuffing. Ive had their Mac & Cheese a while back and it was good. But not today. It was alright. Now the brother at the register was very inviting he greeted us with a smile. At this point i dont think I would recommend this Restraunt to anyone anymore. They have gotten very lazy with service. The cook needs to liven up the menu. Theres no love in it anymore.
For first time customers, it’s hard to figure out how to order. I didn’t know if I was supposed to just find a seat or what. I wasn’t greeted either. However, once I spoke to the staff, everyone was friendly, I just think customers should be provided with some direction as they first enter. Also, I was dissatisfied with the amount of my food. I had no idea how much my food costed until after I ate. If I had of known my meal would have been so high, I probably would have eaten somewhere else or would have only ordered an Entrée. My meal came up to over $18, and I only ordered one entrée with rice and macaroni, corn bread and a cookie. I will say Soul Vegetarian offers tasty meat alternative options, however, I don’t think the sides are worth the price. I probably would go back, but only for the vegetarian meat alternative options. I’ll order sides elsewhere.
The overall service was horrible, first time visiting the restaurant and we weren’t given the best welcome. But then again we weren’t possible the “typical” family to go there as we are Hispanic light skinned people. A lot of stare as we walked in. We asked for water and were told there wasn’t any. Then I notice another women asked for water for herself and her 2 kids and was immediately given water. While we are sitting just a few feet away with children much younger!! Won’t visit again and for the price I’d rather going to a more classer vegan/vegetarian restaurant that don’t run out of food. There goes the idea of support a black small business :(
All i want to know is how come no one EVER answers the phone or the line is busy for a long time? Im thinking you guys just take the phone off the hook. Also do you guys choose when you want to be on Uber Eats or not? Had issues ordering brunch several times on a Sunday. When i finally got someone on the phone i was told you guys hadnt turn the app on. Brunch starts at 930 and this was about 11am!😒😒 I walked away before for piss poor customer service before and looks like i wont be back again. Whats even more sad is i have a friend that moved from out of town try to order and you guys didnt even have anything listed on the menu.....😒😒 Im a great cook so ill just continue making my own tasty vegan meals!!
I got the Jerusalem Rice Bowl with Kalebone, cornbread (had to try it), the mac (again, had to try it) and a piece of red velvet cake cause, well, it was sitting there screaming my name, so I answered!! Lol. Couldnt finish it all, syke Im playing! That damn rice bowl was so good I downed it!! Cornbread was crispy, I prefer a softer cornbread, but it was still very good. The mac was good, but doesnt compete with my favorite!!
Omg so many great things in this space! You have Seamoss in most there smoothies sooooooo good. Also has vendors in side Natu-Life had me in love! They had mango pineapple salsa with vegan homemade chips! Dont forget the vegan icecream!!! Oh ya its a must... just know this place is worth it! #sswirl will be back!
I heard about this place from a friend and since it is in the neighborhood I thought I give it a try. I was so excited once I arrived and I saws it was cafeteria style but the food was covered. The menu only told you dinner was an entree and two sides. So I was waited patiently while waiting to be served. I asked the young lady what was being served to night and she told me the older man who was serving would tell me. So I told her it was my first time here, hoping that would make her treat me like a welcomed guest. I guess I was asking for to much. The older gentleman opened the first tray and food smelt and looked good. He then took the young ladies who was in front of me order. The young lady that was short with me previously came to front to help served so I asked her what was under the other tray and she opened it and said it was barbecue kale bones. I told her I wanted what was in the previous tray. She said to me it is the same thing. I said that the other tray looks better to me. She told me I had to get it from that tray. I said thats not what I want. So I asked her did she just not want my patronage? Her response was firm on thats what I had to be served. I said the older gentleman just gave the young ladies the food from that tray. She just looked at me. I ldecidw to leave. I asked the older gentleman her name and he said RIA. So I didnt have opportunity to tell you if food was good or not. Maybe I try again.Anyway I ended up at Viva la vegan up street on Lee street. The a little price but at least they were polite. Checkout my review on there page.
Would I recommend? Um NO. The food was overpriced for what you get. Ew. Customer service unbelievable. I never pull a race card because thats not me. The people working here will stare at you, give a mean attitude for no reason and make you feel uncomfortable. It felt as if our money isnt good enough for you to be a customer.I cant believe we ate food that wasnt worth $50.00 for two adults and two kids plates. We watched how they treated people of color with smiles, and warm welcome, literally every person that came in! Southern love for them and the total opposite for us.Money is one color. If you dont want money from people opposite of your color than you also are part of the problem America is facing. When customers greet you coming into your establishmet you should not act this way. Not everyone is a racist, not everyone agrees with the way things are. Become better human beings. Not to mention they have glasses full of water sitting on the counter. Yup there is your drink. Glasses of water that have been sitting there all day. I dont even know how this place is in business. I mean were in the South and the corn bread was as hard as a rock.Disgusted with these types of people. Forget how bad the food is, we have never felt so unwelcomed anywhere ever!

2022-05-13Soul Vegetarian is my favorite restaurant in the whole wide world. Hands down I would eat here everyday if it were possible. Whenever I am close enough this is by far my first choice over every other place to eat in Atlanta! They never disappoint. Everything is always fresh, hot, and delicious! Even if youre not Vegan or Vegetarian you would enjoy something from the menu.

2022-06-06I live around the corner, I ride pass here daily havent stopped there in over 10yrs because I didnt like the food then. Went today because I was sick , tired and didnt want to drive far. Rude nasty B, with weird glasses on, ignored me for a few minutes then, was so rude explaining 1 meant as and 2 vegetables only, I couldnt just buy an extra meat on the side for no price. So she gave me a whole lot of rice and curry chicken. I usually leave with bad service, but I was hungry, when I got home and tasted the food I wanted to go back and throw it in her face but gas is to high, already wasted 15.00 on that B.S.

2019-08-09Great vegetarian soul food! The collard greens are so tastey and the potatoes have a unique flavor! Everything is vegetarian which is amazing and the service here is fantastic. The people who work here are so lovely and eager to help. The prices are also reasonable and ordering is quick and easy. The atmosphere is very nice and good for families or groups

2022-05-07Food that delivers and never disappoints. Greens, dairy free mac and cheese and candied sweet potatoes real good and be prepared to pay real good prices. But definitely worth it.

2018-12-11Soul Vegetarian 🌱 is a nice and friendly place to eat! It lives up to its name for having soul 🔥🔥. The food is very nice and nothing is over seasoned/not season at all. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese greens and whatever entre dish they have for the day. I also am a big fan weekend breakfast 🥞. This place really likes up to the hype! Check out the delicious juice bar as well!
