I had made an appointment regarding my shoulder and was scheduled to meet with Dr. Sasser. I had heard and read reviews that he was rather sarcastic (which was okay with me because I can be snarky right back), and didnt always attend to patient needs with his bedside manner. I took the risk because my shoulder was getting worse with arthritis impinging on a nerve. Three days before my appointment I broke my wrist! SO, when I arrived I asked the nurse if he could attend both issues or if I needed another appointment. She checked with Dr. Sasser and he said he would do both! I went in expecting to spar with this man and he could not have been any more pleasant. He listened, he helped me make decisions, we took an x-ray of the shoulder but focused on my wrist. He also scheduled me for a shoulder MRI after my wrist healed. The backup staff were ALL very friendly and caring. If this doctor or his staff are considered sarcastic, uncaring, rude, then Im not sure those patients deserved him.My only concern is the front office staff and the scheduler. On the phone they sounded bored...and the scheduler, Stacy, never answers her phone. Apparently she operates only by voicemail and my wait was more than 24 hours. It was only after I called again (when the receptionist sounded even more bored), that I got a call from Stacy to schedule my appoint. Must.do.better!
I had a cancerous tongue tumor removed by Dr. Stevenson . He is extremely likeable, highly qualified and I can recommend him without any reservations. My tumor was the size of a nickel. I am in my fifth day of recovery on a liquid diet. The tongue swelling left today and my strength returned. I now talk slower and my speech is clear enough to return to work making 40 minute presentations to land owners for GDOT. I am 67 and I look forward to many more successful years of employment. Time is of the essence. The sooner you can see a qualified specialist like Dr. Stevenson the less damage will occur from your oral issue.
I recently had surgery, I can not thank Dr. Barrett and his staff for taking such good care of me. Everyone was concerned and listened to my feed back. On the day I was to be released at the last minute (I was dressed, husband had loaded car) I started feeling bad. I told the nurse, Ms. Kimberly Brown, I wasnt sure if I should go. Kimberly immediately got in touch with Dr. Barretts office and I was told to stay. During the day I continued to get worse, vomiting, head ache, my blood pressure went sky high. Kimberly was a godsend, after all meds were given with not much relief she looked at me and said were going old school. Elevated bed, put alcohol wraps on my feet, ice on my neck, sniffing alcohol. It all seemed to be helping so every 3/4 hours it was repeated during the night. Everyone was wonderful and polite, including Mrs. Lynda from housekeeping was so sweet and showed concern. Thank you to everyone!
I had a great experience with Dr. Dancy. Not only was he thorough and knowledgeable but also he was personable and kind. I have had a spinal condition for many years and have seen “the best of the best” in several major cities. I would rate Dr. Dancy as highly as any I have seen. I especially appreciate his conservative approach as well as his willingness to set up regular check ups. During my initial visit, he was quite understanding and respectful of my anxiety issues. Indeed, I felt very comfortable talking to him, and I am very grateful to be his patient.
The most unprofessional place to try to get help. My husband was having an asthma attack and I had to go home to get his breathing machine just to get him comfortable. From 1pm and now its 6:15 am the next day and he hasnt seen a doctor yet. This is a death trap and needs 2 be shut down... This place doesnt deserve 1/2 of a star, the receptionist seems to be sick coughing and gaging and doesnt seem to want to be here 😢. There are people with chairs pushed together in hopes of waiting it out.
In the past I haven’t had the best care. But recently I have been going to the hospital a lot lately, the front desk is super helpful and kind. The doctors I’ve seen lately are super informative, helpful and also kind. I am happy with my current care and I really hope it continues.
Dr. Jan Whitesell is in my opinion an excellent physician, and her nurse is tops. Dr. Jan is always familiar with my medical history. She listens attentively and asks good questions when addressing any issues I bring to her. She always reviews lab results with me and makes adjustments to medications when needed, always listening and considering any input from me.
We were visiting in the area when my husband needed the emergency room. The nurses and doctors were most kind and helpful. They diagnosed the issue promptly. Did a procedure and sent him onto a cardiac critical care unit for observation. He was then moved to a step down unit. All doctors and nurses we saw were professional and knowledgeable. We were very pleased with our care . If ever in the area and we ever need a hospital, we would be very happy here. A slight change of meds, a day of rest at our B&B and we are good to go for the next phase of our trip. Thank you.
Doctor Dino has been my Physician for almost 10 years, and can honestly say he is a patients Doctor, He pays close attention to your health and needs . His professional advice is spot on and when he gives you advice he will follow up with you and monitor your progress which is VERY important to every patient. The front end staff are also very helpful and professional. I am truly satisfied.
Patient care is not this hospitals creed or prioity, nor is cleanliness. I arrived at the hospital at 1:15 am in severe back pain, I could hardly take small steps, not one person offered assistance nor inquired as to how I could be assisted. No one provided their names or acted as if they even cared about anything that I was going through. The room they had me in needed cleaning, I have video to prove my claim, there wasnt any soap in the bathroom, I informed someone and nothing was done about it. When I returned to that same bathroom an hour and a half later, there still wasnt any soap. The ER wasnt busy and as of 4:15 am, I still didnt have anyone provide me with information as to what was causing the pain. I guess it didnt matter that I had great insurance, because I was treated and I felt like they didnt care. My suggestion is if you can make it to another hospital for professional care, it would be in your best interest to do so.
My experience at this office is stellar. From Delores answering my calls & questions with care, to Cassandra Latham & her amazing bedside manner. She is compassionate & listens to your concerns & issues, explains herself with clarity & makes you feel right at home. This office is amazing in my opinion.
This was my 1st visit to this Dr. and I was seen and treated exceptionally well. She answered all of my questions and ordered necessary tests right away. Ive already recommended her to other friends and relatives. She took notes as I was talking about health issues I was dealing with and I had my blood work right after my appointment with her. Her staff called with results immediately, too!
I highly recommend Dr. Matthew Certain, Cardiologist. He is kind, compassionate, professional and highly knowledgeable about his field of expertise. Answers all questions and encourages his patients to be an active participant in their health and medical management. Always have a wonderful experience in this practice.
I would love to elaborate but theres not enough room on this site! Someone should lock all the doors and throw away the key!!! My Mother will probably never recover from their lack of immediate care! Anyone know a great law firm? And YES I have reported my numerous issues to the Patient Experience Department!!!! I WANT PEOPLE FIRED FOR THEIR GRAVE INJUSTICE. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THE LOUSY NEGLECT AND FAILURE TO DIAGNOSE AND TREATMENT OF MY MOTHER! NONE!
This is an extremely busy office. Thankfully I was worked in through a last minute cancellation. Thank you Linda. Dr. Amodeo was prepared and had all knowledge of my recent brain surgery and past health issues. He carefully explained a plan for me going forward.I am absolutely grateful for the kindness and professionalism of this doctor and his office.
I was there the same night as BCM222 and the elderly lady on the floor. My son had severe pain in his stomach. I too did not care for the treatment of the elderly lady. Id gone back to the lady at the desk several times because my childs pain was getting worse. They made him wait until there was maybe one person left out of a full lobby. When they finally called him back, he needed an emergency surgery to remove his appendix! The elderly lady just wanted to lay down, I guess thinking it would somehow ease the pain, and my son did too. He had the ONLY seat slightly longer than the other chairs. When we saw the lady on the floor saying she wanted to lay down my son gave her his seat. SMH. BCM222, I think she did finally get treatment. All other departments we visited, the staff were extremely kind and helpful and in the right line of work, but that ER staff......? Im just saying
This review is for the Woodbine family practice office. I cant say enough good things about this office. I rarely wait more than a few minutes for a scheduled appointment. The provider I see is Nicole Hiller and she is wonderful. Very knowledgeable, and you can feel that she really cares about your well being.
I felt the ER was my very last choice for treating my Blood Pressure Spikes last Saturday night approx 7 PM.After being ignored by my cardiologist I felt no choice.I was extremely surprised at the level of care I received. Superlative care from.Dr HAMMONDNurse Cassandra mspCNA JeanAnd the othersI hope this is an indicator of Hospitals munch needed improvements.
This place is ridiculous. I come in with my young son who is having an active asthma attack that could no longer be controlled at home & they had us wait for over 4 hours in the waiting room. He was struggling so badly to breathe he ended up vomiting & I was reassuring others in the waiting room he was ok because they were starting to freak out because of the way he was & sounds of his breathing. I just kept getting told we’d be seen as soon as possible, yet someone who came in an hour and a half after me with a hurt elbow was seen before my son…. I thought trouble breathing would be top priority. I suppose they don’t care as long as they can continue to bill you for the hours you’re sitting in the waiting room.HIGHLY disgusted. Thankfully I know how to control it to the point where he doesn’t stop breathing all together, cause this could have been very bad.
Dr. D. Moores is one of the best loving and caring Doctor I have come to love, I highly recommend anyone who maybe experience any type of cancer or anything that has to do with this illness to go see him he really, really cares about his patients. And will do whatever he can to make you comfortable doing your time of pain Thanks to you and your staff.
Dr. Goodman was exceptionally wasteful of my time. I couldn’t imagine a greater disappointment possible with another provider. I came in hoping to receive the proper tests that I was unable to get from my doctor who is in Colorado due to the cross-country distance. Instead, I received a prescription for a low dose estrogen birth control which, if she had asked, she would know makes me nauseous (If that solution seemed suitable my Colorado doctor could have just prescribed me birth control without having me wait the month to get into this office). Dr. Goodman did not even realize why I came in and kept saying the purpose of my visit was for pain which I had to correct her twice because I am in no pain whatsoever. She was additionally under the impression that I was on the pill already for which I had to tell her I have the Nexplanon and take no prescription medication. I truly don’t know if she had mixed me up with another patient or what happened but I was astounded by the lack of proper care and consideration for a patient by a doctor.
We were visiting Brunswick/Jekyll Island between June 17-20th, 2022 and during this time my husband developed an abcessed in his mouth. It was after any dental offices were open and there was no urgent care we could visit to get something in order to get him through until we could get home to a dentist. I called the Emergency room and the nurse said bring him in, we will help him and that they did. The whole experience lasted about an hour to an hour & a half for check in/admission/triage/diagnose and discharge. The staff was GREAT! The doctor had a great beside manner and didnt treat us as if we were wasting his time or seeking pain meds like most back home would have done. They gave him some antibiotics and meds to get us back home safely and in a lot less pain than we arrived. 2 days after arriving home, he had dental surgery to extract 4 jaw teeth. Its been a journey, but thankfully SG Health system in Brunswick made it MUCH easier to deal with. I wish I could remember the doctors name, but I cant. The nurse was Alisa. great people, clean hospital! THANK YOU!!!
I have given one star because that is the lowest star to give other than no star. I have and am still having a very bad experience with a nurse practitioner at this location. Jennifer Dowdy FNP - I had an appointment with her and it was a very strange experience. She was rude, impatient, interruptive, and sarcastic. She was shaking. She would ask me a question and I was not given an opportunity to speak. Within 2-3 mins she was out of the room. She has incorrectly input my medical information even after I have asked for it to be corrected. She has indicated in my file that I missed appointments that I have not missed. If you call to reschedule an appointment it is not missed it is rescheduled.
I give dr. Herman Levy a 10 plus because he and his staff are some of the best people you will ever meet in a doctor office my experience was so awesome everybody was so attentive and so loving and kind and I felt like I was in the best hands possible these are some of the greatest people you can meet and I think all of them for being so kind to me Ive never been in a doctor office where everyone is so kind sometime you go in doctor office and youre already sick and you get treated bad and you feel worse but this doctor office make you feel better by just talkin to the doctor and the staff awesome people I would recommend anyone to go to this doctor even if you just talked to staff you will feel so much better thank you
The doctors never tell me what the root of my problem is or how to fix it they just give me meds and dont even ask me a lot of questions. Then when I request to get a image scan to go beyond the lab test and visual they refuse because of a negative diagnosis lab test and ignore the fact that I have severe systems. When I go to an ER I get more extensive testing and more concern. This shouldnt just take place in an ER. So many people get diagnosed final stages of Cancer for these very type of habits by physicians. People always complain about the SEG regional system and this one of many reasons why.
Dr. Mitchell Jones is an excellent, thorough and caring cardiologist. He is very knowledgeable about his field of care (the heart) and very attuned to his patients needs. My husband was included in my office visits and in all phases of the plan of care. Dr. Jones answered all of my questions, and I didnt feel like I was on a time clock or patient assembly line.
Came to get a packing out of my cyst or just to make sure the packing fell out. Dr told me to let it stay in until I get a fever or infection or until it start bothering me to come in… like no. Usually it’s supposed to come out in 1-2 days. It’s been a week and you tell me to wait until it start bothering me to come out. Didn’t catch his name but imma remember his face. Only giving two stars because The nurse practitioner came and opened me up to see is there any packing with no problem
Dr Alba’Yuan was new to me having replaced my pulmonologist who moved away. Dr Alba’yuan was prepared, through and very polite. He answered my questions in a manner I could understand and listened like he truly cared. His team performed my breathing tests and explained every step while making sure I was comfortable.Five stars for this team and I’m happy with this, my second visit.
Still more to do in this process but Dr Bograd is a Godsend. He was so thorough with his explanation of the whole process of what is happening. He was extremely personable, informative, sympathetic to issues and answered every question I had as well as my daughters. I highly recommend him.
Saw Dr. Matthew Certain in Brunswick and in less than an hour from entrance to departure, saw doctor, had 2 tests done including a treadmill stress test done by Dr. Certain himself, and left office with complete peace of mind regarding my heart. Could not say anything against this practice or Doctor. It is a 10 out of 10!!!
I have been a patient of Dr Chitty and his spectacular Pulmonary Medicine Staff since October of 2007. I was so sick at that time Dr Chitty was close to admitting me for three weeks until he was able to get my insurance to authorize his newest treatment. After receiving that first dose of medicine, within two days I was back breathing without any congestion or cough. That medication has kept me healthy ever since!!
Holly Temples is the best Primary Care Professional that I have found for many years. After a very rude & arrogant Physician got angry & treated me rudely for asking him to do something for my problem, I walked out to never return. After my first visit with Holly, I knew I had finally found the perfect primary care Associate. Always kind, caring, concerned, & giving great & immediate care. A professional & understanding care giver that promotes your confidence.
Dr. Blumer is a great Dr. He listens to everything you may need to ask and say. He explains things where you can understand. Wonderful bedside manners. He is very professional, kind, courtesy, and very positive. His professional team is, as well. Overall, he is a great doctor and one of my favorite Dr. that I see.
I was treated extremely unfair last night. I went to the maternity for pain and contractions. The nurse lied to me MULTIPLE times, treated me as though I was lying and would not let me speak to my obgyn. Ive never had an experience like this and will be reporting to whomever I can.
I’ve been seeing Dr Reece and Dr Battle for about two years now. Both drs are an absolute joy to work with! Both are respectful, patient, and answer all questions no matter how ridiculous. Their assistants are also very pleasant to see at every visit and gentle with shots for my children. All the receptionist are amazing as well!
My nurse jakweita was great she my me completely comfortable she deserves a high 5 she are highly experience she knows how to my her patient feel better.I was freezing in my room she fix the problem and made the room temperature warmer 👍 I recommend this hospital to family and friends especially the nurse jakweita great job jakweita
Even though I have several specialists I wanted to haven a primary Dr. As well to be able to look at the big picture. Dr. Whitley is always concerned and attentive. Few Drs. Actually will touch your thyroid, glands, area of pain during an assessment, most of. them just ask for your assessment .I think its important for the Patients emotional health to know what the patient is feeling and where. A drs touch in the absence of any other human touch is emotionally healing for older and depressed or anxious patients, just as it is reassuring to children.
I have been seeing Ms Lindahl since I was diagnosed w Crohn’s a few yeArs ago! I was in so much pain at the time, but the diagnosis answered alot of questions! I had suffered 7-8 years not knowing it was Crohn’s! Ms Lindahl worked with me for a couple years tweaking my meds and diet! And for the most part I’m pain free and doing so well and I’m eternally grateful for her taking care of me and getting me as well as I can be with Crohn’s!!!!! She is excellent in her care and knowledge!!!!!!!
Had to go to the ER, first time in a while. The wait was a little long but the doctor, Dr. Daniel McMicken was the doctor on duty. He was very professional and sympathetic to my Crohns condition. I am so grateful for his understanding. The nurses that afternoon and early evening were very helpful and no pain doing IVs or blood draws. I was there for a few hours but a lot of test were run and I understand that. I must say that the wait time was a lot quicker than the past.
Saw Dr Savage on Friday, November 5,2021... Checked in at front desk, (front desk staff was very friendly & polite) sat down for approximately 5 minutes (maybe) called to the back, nurse (who was polite) got vitals, went over meds, medical history etc... She said Dr Savage would be in, in just a few minutes. Less than 3 minutes later he came in. He went over a few things, then told me that I would have to go back to my original neurosurgeon, because of the problem I was having, and went on to explain why I needed to see my original neurosurgeon. He broke down my problems, and though, it was NOT what I WANTED to hear, he was upfront & honest. He has been a true, breath of fresh air & he is 1 of the few Drs Ive ever known/dealt with that is truly a humble, gentle man. I would recommend Dr Savage to ANYONE!
My experience has always be very positive. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Jones to others. In fact, I continually tell others about his caring competence. I am privileged to know him socially and professionally.I was out of town when he discovered the arterial fibrillation. He called me to advise getting to a pharmacy to have the appropriate prescription filled.
Ive had a great experience so far with my OBGYN. So thought Id set up visits with a Primary Care for my husband and I. Went in for what we thought were routine annual visits. Literally nothing wrong with us. Just wanted our wellness biometrics and flu shots. Dr. Whitleys office turned around and coded EVERYTHING about our visits as diagnostic. When we called to express our concern, we were basically told we were diagnosed with everything we put on our medical history form and that billing wasnt discussed in our appointments so nothing would be changed.Moral of the story, I would highly advise doing your research and asking a ton of questions about billing if you have anything but a co-pay plan or government plan because they will hold you responsible for whatever services they decide to bill you for regardless of what you asked for.Already reached out to Patient Experience. Heard back from a rep but never was followed up with regarding how my issue would be handled. Now out $600+ out of pocket due to fishy medical billing and coding practices that the hospital is obviously allowing. Will continue to use my OBGYN but will not be using any Primary Care services in this hospital. As few services as possible out of this hospital to be honest. Will keep a very close eye on my bills. Brunswick doesnt leave many options for patient care. Giving them the one star for my OBGYN experience. If it was solely based on my primary care visit and patient experience, follow up = zero.Update: Their patient experience got back with us via letter of course and are claiming that our visits were diagnostic as well. The ethical standards of this facility should be watched and monitored by anyone in Brunswick who is forced to use them due to lack of anywhere else to go.
A picture of the worst ER I have ever been in. I sat in this room and looked at this door for hours and hours. From the moment I arrived with a painful kidney stone, everyone seemed to be in slow motion. I will never come back to this place. A few shots and a script took 9 hours.Gosh…what if it had been an emergency 🆘!
I can’t say enough good things about my stay here @ SEGHS. 2 St Simons 2nd floore were very professional and compassionate to me. Darwin,Tiffany, Jennifer, and Mrs. Carolyn were ANGELS. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for me. Dr Barrett and his assistants were the best. I also want to mention Dr Williams who checked on me everyday. I’m sure there are some that i haven’t mentioned but You have made a believer out of me.
I wanted to thank Dr. Bee and Staff for taking good care of me even though this pandemic still here.I was scared because I had covid and pneumonia 3 weeks prior and it didnt affect me but when I swallowed it felt like something was in my throat. Dr Bee examine thoroughly. Explained what was wrong. Called in my prescription and my voice is back to normal and I feel great. Thank Yall so much. I Pray God continue to keep You All Safe. ❤😇

2022-02-02Health care system is definitely broken still waiting to been 7 hrs and counting came in at 10pm it’s now 5:34…Seen people come in from a car accident come in told them 6 hour wait before they could be seen. Saw a elderly woman come in and still hasn’t been seen it’s been at least 4hrs for her… the place is empty but still can’t be seen for whatever reason no timeline no estimation from the rude lady at the desk …. No choice but to leave unseen and I hope that elderly lady laying on the floor was able to get the help she needed…

2022-06-13Came in with severe abdominal pains and vomiting. they got me into the ER almost immediately, and were so fast to kill my nausea to see what was wrong with me. what i thought was a stomach virus, was actually appendicitis. from the ER nurses, to the nurses/CNA’s/doctors upstairs, to the surgeons/anesthesiologists, and even all the way to the housekeepers, i was treated so so well! never have i come across such a kind, caring staff. i have always had a phobia of hospitals, but i never once felt uncomfortable or mistreated. RN Kimberley was an absolute sweetheart, and helped calm my nerves about going into this surgery, and made sure i was comfortable after it was over. thank you to the entire staff for putting me back into good health, and making this my first good hospital experience!

2022-01-07This practice is wonderful. Everyone Ive had the experience of dealing with has always been warm and respectful. No one has ever given me the impression that theyre too busy to stop and help me, or spend a little extra time with me. My calls are always returned. Ive seen both Kim and Nicole and they both are just great.Youre in good hands with the women in this office.

2022-06-30As a patient of Dr. Marsha J. Certain, Cardiologist, I can honestly say I feel well-cared for. I see her for blood pressure issues, but her practice is all-inclusive, with other doctors having other cardiology specialties. The staff is excellent, too. Dr. Certain is warm, professional and very knowledgeable. I am very appreciative of having her as my doctor.

2022-03-27They really are very nice people. The office is always clean and they make me feel safe. They are friendly. I do feel a bit rushed but I think that’s normal. Doctors get what info they need and rush away to the next room. He’s nice, just fast… which is a good thing and normal, of course, but it sucks because I’m a person that gets nervous at an apt and I try to say everything and I always forget something and within two seconds of him walking out of room he’s gone and I remembered something…. So it’s really not his fault, it just always happens. I wish there was a way that they could do a follow up text or something that way you can ask or say anything you forgot while you’re still fresh on their mind from the visit

2022-06-29I came here for my OB yearly routine check up and I saw Miss Cynthia Wallace. She was the most down to earth lady Ive ever met! She made my scary appointment into a fun experience! She was kind, patient and super friendly! To the ladies who need their pap smear and other check ups I definitely reccomend Ms Wallace! I wont see anyone else from now on. Best provider so far. Love her!

2022-02-08One of the best doctors and staff in Brunswick. Dr. Certain and her team have worked with my husband in finding the correct medication that works with his system. The staff is great, the other doctors in her office are wonderful. Dr. Certain and her team takes more of a personal care with her patients We drive two hours to see her - its so worth it!!!

2022-03-26My husband was very sick last night, I’m so scared and worried about him. We drove to the hospital about 22.12 pm and went to the ER immediately, we’re check in and sit down in the waiting room not more than 5 min and then the nurse called my husband name I thought she saw how bad he was. I really really appreciate for a quick response because I don’t know if something happened how I can due with it.Thank God. The doctor and nurse for your service!
