We have used them several times but because of covid never really got to “meet” the staff, until recently. We had a rough week and lost our best dog friend that was family to us. We called them Monday afternoon and they had us in Tuesday morning for a drop off. Due to his massively growing tumor and age there wasn’t much they could do for him. No fault of theirs. But Dr Hamm called me an treated me so kindly and agreed for us to come before he went over the rainbow bridge. She said she would keep him comfortable up until then. We came at 3:30 due to my husband working out of town. And you could tell he was living his best life waiting. She definitely had given him medicine to make him feel good, and he was listening to all the dogs and cats coming in. They had left the door open to keep checking on him. Her staff and herself were so compassionate letting us love on him and spend time with him before he went. He went to peacefully as she helped him. Definitely never want to lose your dog this way but she made it such a heartwarming experience you can tell she loved him too. We need more vets like her in this world that truly love the animal and care. We will never use another vet ever. They had him cremated for us which was another amazing experience but over all you won’t find better people who care about your family and animals like them.
Have used Dr. Hamid and SEVC since 2007. Many people become upset with a vet over time and switch. I have not. Biggest reason is that I know for a fact that my Aussies are left in good hands when I drive away and leave either of them for the day.. Lots of reasons for this. Read on..The staff is (and have always been) very helpful and knowledgeable. No one is snippy with you on the phone or in person. Vet and techs are excellent and tell it how it is, yet provide the highest level care for my pups. The grooming dept is also very good at what they do. Theres nothing to complain about whatsoever with the services or staff at this the clinic. Its a little pricey for long term pet medications, visits, etc. However, Ill continue to use this vet because I feel my Aussies get the best of treatment when left at this clinic and if youre like me, you love your pups as much as any human. You wont be let down here and you can trust that your pup will be in good hands. Honestly, this one is an easy 5 stars from me.
It was a good visit, it went pretty much like I was expecting and I am pleased with what they have decided to do and how fast it can be done. Much better than what we were looking at back in Savannah. Now we will schedule the surgery and have our boy back to running around like he wants to in a few short months.
They are wonderful and have been going there for many years now. This trip wasnt scheduled but an emergency visit for my 3lb lil girl Yorkie. She was down to 2.5 lbs from trying to eat a frog and was a sick little baby. They are always able to squeeze us in to be seen in the event of an emergency. Dr Hamid even had her husband go in the office during the night to check on one of my Dads dogs that had the same fate with eating a frog to make sure her pumps for her IV didnt stop and to make sure she was OK! We couldnt get her to Sav. or jville so we had to go with leaving her at the vets office which does close an they go home. Dr could tell we were worried about leaving her alone during the night so she offered to have her hubby go by in the middle of the night to check in on that baby! Really great people and a blessing to our family!
I’ve been a client here for a few years, but unfortunately as of yesterday that’s all changed. I’ll never bring an animal back here nor will I recommend them to anyone. My dog had accident and severely injured his leg yesterday and after a brief phone call to the front desk it looked like I was out of luck. No appointments available and zero concern for his well being. You know we choose a regular veterinarian not just for routine shots and care, but in the hopes that they’ll be there for you at your pet’s worst. Southeast GA vet clinic really let me down yesterday. Not only was I told I couldn’t bring my dog in, I wasn’t even given a recommendation of the next best place to go to get emergency care which left me scrambling. Luckily Seaside Animal Hospital welcomed me right away with open arms…. Even with a full waiting room of regular clients and only one veterinarian on call. Such a shame I couldn’t count on my own vet to be there for me when I needed them the most.
I brought my 6 week puppy for his 1st round of puppy shots and exam to check for worms. Ginger, our tech, was very friendly and informative and she verified information she didnt have readily available with the veterinarian. She was very sweet to my puppy (Angus) and he went right to her and except for the shot he didnt even notice any other part of the exam. I will definitely be using this vet clinic in the future!
They were open on day after Thanksgiving when one of my babies had an emergency and couldnt be seen by my vet here in Douglas, GA. They are my moms vet and she adores them. They were so welcoming and helpful and saved us from what could have been a be very bad weekend. They also called to check on my Beau even though they knew I was back home. They really really care about their patients! Nothing but gratitude and thanks!!!!!
My dog tore her dew claw while we were on vacation in the area. I was very happy with the quality of care she received and was grateful they could get her in on short notice. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly to me and my dog and made her feel comfortable during a very painful experience.
I canceled my appointment because they were going to charge an additional 38.00 because I didnt have an appointment rearranged even though it was an emergency. I have called before with emergencies and been told that it would be a week before they could see me. We are an animal shelter and do not have the ability to forsee emergencies. I will not call them again. Suzies Friends Animal Sanctuary.
Excellent veterinarian and grooming service. I have used Dr H for years. She saved one of my dogs years ago. She even took him home to care for him over the weekend. She really cares about her clients. Kristy is the groomer Ive been using lately. My little man sees her every other month and she does an awesome job. I dont worry about him when hes there. I know that not only will he be well cared for while he is there, he will come back beautiful and seems to enjoy his spa days
I liked the facility, wish Id get a tour of the facility because my dog seems to have anxiety about being there and Id like to work with them to help relieve some of his anxiety. The facility - part thats open. - seems nice and clean but guess I have a spoiled dog who likes to be home with his people.
SEGA is amazing!! They have the best pricing and customer service in the area. I live in town but make the drive to their facility despite the multiple vets closer to me. I love that they follow up with me and my dog each time he has a procedure, no matter how minor. I know they are truly dedicated to their practice and care deeply about animals and their humans! I cannot recommend them enough.
I was very impressed with the care my rescue kitty “Heart” received on my first visit-so much so that I will be taking all of my other family members there for treatment. The fees were reasonable as well.I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great vet :)So not long after my first visit with Heart, (1st review), I took my newest family member Osiris to see them. He is a GSD mix that adopted me! Needless to say we had a fantastic visit at the clinic! He loved the vet and the techs were great as well. This is definitely our new “family practitioner” 😍
I have had wonderful experiences at Southest Ga Vet Clinic and Dog Hotel! The staff is friendly and caring. They treat my pups with gentle kindness, genuine love, and empathy. We have had a wonderful experience boarding our 2 dogs there as well. We really liked that they would keep our dogs together. Our favorite things about Southeast Ga Vet is short wait times and Dr. Hamid!
I always have the best time when I bring my pups into you guys and the kitten too! Everyone is always very loving and attentive to my needs and my animals needs. You guys always help me out with figuring out plans and payments so I dont over do it! Thank you so much for everything! Keep up the good work!!!
While traveling from Fl to NH our 3 year old cocker spaniel appeared to be in pain from unknown causes. After being told they were too busy by a well known veterinary chain I called Southeast Georgia Vet,. After explaining our situation to their receptionist I was told to bring him right in. Dr Hamid examined him and sent us on our way with the medicines he needed. I am grateful for their concern and care. They are a great group of people.Mary Wade, Lenny Dionne and Blackjack
I have always felt welcome here. They have been good to both of my dogs for sure. Heartworm tests, surgeries, specialized food... all of it. My only problem, as with most vets, is I cannot leave with out paying over $200. But they seem knowledgable and they care. I recommend using them if you care about your pup!
She and the staff are the best! This area out here should be very thankful that Doctor Hamid openned her clinic years ago. She and staff go above and beyond for me and all clients. She not only loves and cares about animals but cares about her clients. I saw a couple of negative posts. I say if the problem was brought to her or staffs attention they would do anything possible to correct it as they all care so very much!
Every time we have been here, our family and our pets have been treated with respect and love. We adore everyone who works here. We have always had pets and have lived in 7 different states, several of them more than once, and this is the very best veterinary practice anywhere!
I highly recommend Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic!! Their mobile clinic is AWESOME!!!! I can take all 4 of my hound dogs, my little dog and my cat and get their vaccines. I can also get the flea and tick medication at the mobile clinic. EXCELLENT staff!! Love this entire process!!! You can also get other services done, like fixing your male animals
We love both vets and all the staff! They remember all 3 cats and dog when we call. They show all the animals a lot of attention and love. They truly love all animals. They always call the next day to check on the pet that visited them no matter what the reason for the visit. You could not get any better care anywhere else!
I love Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic! They are always friendly, courteous and caring. I also feel good knowing that when I board my dog Rusty, he gets a lot of love and attention. They are always so happy to see your pet when you bring them in. They also have a nice large fenced in area for the dogs to enjoy which is a great plus in comparison with other vet offices that have very small exercise areas. I highly recommend Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic, theyre the best!
Every visit to the Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic has always been a very pleasant experience for myself and our 3 little girl dogs. We spend winters in Georgia and always take our girls here and get their teeth cleaned. We have also used their boarding facilities and never had to worry about them, they are well taken care of while we are gone. Would recommend this facility bo everyone.
The staff at Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic have been taking care of out fur family for several years now. From spay and neuter, check up and shots, to surgeries, they have been awesome through it all. I love the way they call and check up on the fur brats, to make sure they are feeling ok. And the birthday emails for each kid... what a special touch!
Such a caring group at SEGVC! The ladies all take great care of Marley and Cole! Marleys leg is just like new after surgery! Cole could have lost her life and the vet returned to the clinic after hours to see her. Drop off in the morning and they keep you posted all day! Great job!
Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic is a great place to take your dog! I am so happy my chi, Algey, has received such great care there. Top marks for the facility and the personnel. Every day, I appreciate the services they provide because hes still a lively, healthy, happy little rascal. Highly recommended!
First visit to SE Ga Vet Clinic with our 9 week old Goldendoodle! We were impressed with the appt scheduling process and the friendly and welcoming nature of individuals who greeted us at intake.Couldn’t be happier with Dr. Hamid and her loving/caring nature with Maverick our Doodle! Also I pressed with her laying out the process of Vet care as we begin our life with the Maverick! Thank you SE Ga Vet Clinic!Ron, Janet & Maverick
I love the vets and staff at SE Veterinarian Clinic. You can tell everyone there really enjoys their work. I have taken all of my dogs to this clinic and each time the atmosphere was always the same. My friend also uses this vet and the boarding facility and she feels the same. Kudos to Se Vet Clinic!!
I am never unhappy when using you guys as a veterinarians office. My dog is considered an aggressive breed by a list (that I still have yet to be informed about who made or what government Branch signed off for it to be validated), but you guys tray him like part of a family. I usually bring him in, and if my schedule doesnt allow it, the people that take him have always complimented your office as 5 star - clean, professional, thorough, and friendly. I wouldnt have my dog if it werent for the awesome staff at your office, because he had an emergency procedure a few years ago - and anywhere else would have made me make an appointment - you guys understood that I was concerned and he needed attention, and saved his life. I live 15 miles away, and still recommend your office. People always argue that there are vets less than a mile away - I would travel 50+ miles to go sonewhere that I trust, rather than somewhere nearby that I dont.
Molly our Lab went to have her laser treatments for her back legs that have Arthritis. The firse treatment takes about 45 minutes. She already seams to have improved. She will have two more treatments after that then once a month if needed. The staff was very nice in helping her and keeping us up to date on the stapes and what was being done. We have used then for all our cats and dog and may I say they do a great job in taking care of all our animals.
We were on vacation when one of our dogs got sick. SE Ga Vet Clinic promptly gave us an appt. We went right over and had less than 5 minutes to wait. They were very friendly and caring. Quickly diagnosed bronchitis and gave appropriate meds. Our little girl was much better by the next day. I highly recommend this vet clinic.
These people are the most caring and the most sincere group of health care giving professionals. I trust my pets to no one else. Always clean, polite and super nice. As long as I have pets , S.E.Ga. Vet Clinic will be part of my family. Words cannot describe the care and love the entire staff gives when you walk thru the door. Thanks guys for giving me so much trust and feeling of ease knowing you are there for me and my children (pets). God Bless you.
Do you ever wish that people were more like your pets? Well, at SE GA Vet Clinic they are! We have been bringing our dog Winston here, since our old vet retired, on the recommendation of a friend. We love that appointments are easy to make, they happen on time, and everyone REALLY listens to all of our concerns (even my crazy ones.) They have great Wellness Plans, with monthly payments, that you may participate in. We chose one that includes a yearly dental cleaning that has become a stress-free issue for both of us (dog and mom.) He now has a beautifully clean underbite smile!Winston has also boarded at their kennel several times. We know they took great care of him, because he about lost his mind each time we picked him up! And, of course, SE GA Vet Clinic is tech friendly. They have an easy-to-use app where you can keep all your pet info handy, and in one place.Do I sound like a commercial? Well, Winston is important to us, and we appreciate a vet (and staff) who feels the same way. When we were looking for a new vet we were worried, because we wanted to continue on with the kind of care we had been used to. (We didnt want someone selling us certain products or foods, or pushing unnecessary treatments or chemicals.) SE GA Vet has done a wonderful job of showing us just how important Winston is to THEIR family, too. Now, Winston would like to pay it forward to any other pet in a similar circumstance.🐶 Winston gives SE GA Vet Clinic 5 doggy-bones! 🍖🍖🍖🍖🍖
I wrote the below review about this Clinic a few years ago. Last year in October, i took my Godzilla to the Kennel. I dont know what has happen to this place but it went down hill, i think they got new front desk people and new people in the Kennel. I would NOT take my dog there again. In October I watched him online, and he did not go out to potty, if he pee pee on the floor it was left there, no one cleaned it up. They called me and asked me if they could give him a pill to relax some, they charged me for 30 and only gave him one. He was also should of had Prozac, and he was never given one. His blanket was fill of pee when I picked him up.Godzilla doesnt get along with everyone, but I was told that if they had any problems the one VT that he loves and loves him would come in, if needed. The care takers over the weekend never called her in.I had the Dr Hamid call me after picking him up because she was busy, all she did was make excuses for her employees. The one I hated the most that came out of her month was, the caretaker was scarier of Godzilla so she put his pill in a pill popper and throw it on the floor. (I was like really, that is ok)As I said before I would not leave my pet there again, and I dont think I could trust Dr. Hamid again with my pet.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I happened to find this clinic from someone on the web, when I was looking for a place, to boarded my dog for one night. Before Our trip, I wanted to go, and look around to see how they run things. I could not believe, how everyone treated my dog and I like royalty .The boarding kennels side was perfect. My dog had his own spaciest room, with a bed, food, water dish, and a web-cam were you can watch/check on your pet anytime. They let us bring anything with you to leave in the room with your dog.(They told me one man brings a lazy boy chair in for his dog)They do request a few spots before you board, so call ahead. (2 weeks I think it is.one week after I boarded my dog, he cut his feet very bad on a oyster bed. I walk in to the vet side of the clinic, and all the vet techs knew who I was once I walked into the door, and who my dog was.(I only been there 2 times) They fit us in right away so they could look at his paws.Everyone working there knew my dog was not dog friendly. All the employees understood that and when it was time for him to come in, they made sure he would not come in contact with any other dogs. Same thing when leaving.I would give both veterinarians tops stars, and everyone of the vet tech top stars also.I live near Savannah, and I know driving one hour to get there is more then worth the drive to have such outrages people in my dogs life.I just love this place!!!
The staff is incredible, very friendly and nurturing . Bentley loved it except when he had to get the bordalla in his mouth and became a little nasty. All in all I would highly recommend South East Georgia if they want courteous and exceptionally professional service .
Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic is wonderful to our Furbabies!! They ALWAYS go above and beyond to take care of both of our dogs! Dr. Hamid is the bomb!!! She loves our babies as much as we do!!! She even helped us on a weekend when the Clinic was closed with our Sassys medication that she was out of and needed for her eyes as she was going blind. I was so appreciative of her caring about my girl so much to make sure we could continue with the medication that the Jacksonville Animal Eye Clinic had prescribed for Sassy. The entire Staff there are very professional and show their Furbaby customers just how much they are loved and cared about!!!
Our 16 yr old bichon couldnt walk when he woke up. Went there at 7:30 and Dr wasnt there yet, the compassionate staff told us to come back at 8:30 when they Dr was there. They took us right in and Dr examines our pup. Thought it was muscle pain have him a shot and sent us home with meds. He is doing better now, the Dr called the next day to check on him. We are from NY and not even a pAtient of theirs. What a great place, very impressed!
Great place. My dog had to have his tail amputated due to a tumor. The Veternarian (forgot name Beverly ? I believe) did everything she could to take the tumor out of my dog’s tail without having to amputate. Unfortunately it was not in the cards for my dog keeping his tail. The effort on behalf of the Vet. was duely noted. Also the genuine concern and disappointment she had at not being able to save my dog’s tail was something I do not always see with dealing with businesses. I will be taking my old dog here and hopefully many years from now my family will take our next dogs here as well.
I am extremely comfortable trusting my pets to the care of Dr. Hamid and Dr. Blair at Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic. Recently, Dr. Hamid & her assistant, Taylor, made a house call to my house to assess my beloved 18 year old mixed retriever, Reno. I knew Reno was in a bad way & it was probably time to help him on his final journey. I just didnt want to know it in my heart. I wasnt ready to let him go. Reno was my constant companion. I loved him fiercely. He hadnt been eating much for several weeks & couldnt get up by himself. Reno had arthritis & had back surgery in 2014. He was like the battery bunny - he just kept going. It didnt appear to me nor my husband that he was in pain - he was walking after we helped him up, his bowel & kidneys were working, he was drinking, but not eating much. I was providing care & comfort to him. I wanted him to die peacefully in his sleep. I called Dr. Hamid to make a house call to assess Reno because his eyes had given me an expression that told me he was tired & was trying as hard as he could to live, but he wasnt able to feel good anymore. Dr. Hamid came the next day to assess Reno. She was kind, gentle & caring - she examined Reno carefully & slowly. She told me what I expected & was trying to be ready to hear. Renos gums were not pink, he had no muscle mass & she told me he was masking his pain. Dr. Hamid gently explained it would be merciful to help Reno begin his final journey & explained how she would do that. I agreed & thanked her. Dr. Hamid & Taylor stepped out of the den to give me time to say my farewell to my loyal companion. She told me to take as much time as I needed before she gave Reno the sedative to be followed by the final injection. After she administered the sedative she again left me alone with my Reno with instructions to love him as much as I wanted. My husband wanted to say his farewell to Reno, but he was in important meetings at work & couldnt get to the telephone. When the sedative began working, Reno relaxed & appeared so peaceful. I suddenly realized I hadnt seen him look so relaxed in a long time. I called for Dr. Hamid to come back in. She was about to give Reno the injection when my phone rang. It was my husband calling to say his farewell. I put the phone on speaker so he could give his love to Reno. Renos eyes blinked so we know he heard my husband. Dr. Hamid said that was surely a Divine Intervention. I agreed, it was. She then administered the injection with me holding my Reno. His heart beat only three more times. Dr. Hamid said this was a sure sign that my Reno was tired & ready to go because usually the heart continued to beat another 2 or 3 minutes. She gave me more time with Reno alone. My tears were flowing. Dr. Hamid hugged me several times during the process & also gave me verbal comfort. When I was ready we wrapped Reno in his own blanket & a beautiful white bedspread Dr. Hamid brought. Reno went with Dr. Hamid back to the clinic so he could be picked up for cremation. I will get his ashes back with some of his hair & a paw print. I am blessed & thankful for Dr. Hamid, Dr. Blair & their staff to provide care for my fur children. This isnt the end of this comment though. One of my cats, Gypsy Diva Queen had been urinating outside of her litter box & I feared she might have a urinary tract infection. Dr. Hamid took her back to the clinic with Reno to evaluate her. I called at 4pm as requested & yes, she did have a urinary tract infection & some irritation to her lady parts as well. My husband picked our Diva Queen Kitty up & got instructions for the medication Dr. Hamid sent home. It has been one week today & Gypsy has completed her antibiotic & feels much better. She has not urinated outside her litter box again! What a wonderful veterinarian Dr. Hamid is! I appreciate Dr. Blair just as much! Their staff is awesome, kind and caring also! Dr. Hamid’s genuine compassion and kindness will not be forgotten.
I used this vet years ago when my cat was attacked by a pit bull. They where in a meeting and I called when I got to the front door. I was in tears when I saw the sign that said closed for meeting I called anyway and told the girl what was going on. Two seconds later I had a rush of veterans racing out to the car all for my fluffy.I really thought I was going to lose him. They had to put a metal rod in his hip to replace the shattered parts. They not only saved my cat but neutered him too at no extra cost. I think thats the correct term. I use them now for my little Pomchi Pocco. I love I can buy his flea and heartworm on a monthly basis instead of sinking over a 100 dollars for 6 months supply. Great staff. I cant say enough good things about the ppl that work their. In closing this review my cat is still alive that happened about 10 years ago.
When Bubba and I walk in, we are treated with affection. They treat my baby like he was their baby. They know Bubba by name, and make his visits as painless as possible and get lots of Bubba kisses while were there. Shireen and her staff are wonderful and I wouldnt trust my babie to anyone else.
Horrible i take my yorkie there for grooming then he needs to be checked hes got a cold no problem then they tell me hes got a collapsed trachea i questione that the owner said need x rays ..... they didnt know how many then its possible collapsed trachea either it is or not dont guess with my yorkies airway very disappointed

2022-06-21Everyone that works there is absolutely wonderful. They are kind, thorough and answer all your questions no matter how stupid they may sound. They are wonderful with all my pets and seem to true care about them. I would recommend them to anyone. When you can have that well rounded kind caring group people you can’t go wrong.

2022-02-26Have made multiple trips to see them as our regular vet in our own county doesnt do orthopedic surgery (CCL repair)They have been wonderful about trying to answer my recovery concerns and accommodating my schedule for bringing him in for follow-ups being Im a bit of a drive. They were obviously well versed in his condition and presented the info and options in a clear understandable manner.Very thankful for them 🙂

2022-04-08If you aint got alot of money on you dont even try and for sure dont go in an emergency. My cat had been attacked by a dog, and was in very bad shape. Jaw was dislocated and puncture wounds in his neck, and was bleeding really badly. In a rush to get him somewhere I left without my wallet and they would not even talk to me about treating him and him bleeding out in my arms rite in front of them. He was like my child we raised him from a kitten and he was such a great cat. We took him to coastal animal hospital across from st. Simons causeway. That is the place I would recommend.

2022-05-26I had my dog neutered at Southeast Georgia Veterinary Clinic, they are very friendly and explained everything I needed to know. They accept care credit and helped me get everything I need to file a claim with my pets insurance. They also advised on when his next appointment should be.

2022-05-19Went in for a simple ear cream and the vet gave unauthorized treatments resulting in an overpriced bill. Would not recommend as you can find a better vet with reasonable prices a short drive away.
