I scheduled an appointment with SOUTHSIDE MEDICAL during the week with the adult clinic on Ridge Ave in ATL . The doctor on hand was rushed and really uninterested in my concerns when discussing the RX that I needed with my insurance. My insurance did not clear the RX she prescribed and I wind up having to pay out of pocket. When going back to try and tell the dr it did not clear as I knew it wouldn’t, she stated there was nothing that she could do for me. I’ve never been disregarded by a medical practitioner before in this way. I know they can write immediate rx outside of refills. She just had no urgency behind my care and was ready to leave for the night. Just Distasteful. After my apt, I was instructed by the doctor to deliver my collected specimen down to the lab. Upon arrival, the Lab tech informed me that they were closed. A total inconvenience for me as the patient. I went back to the assistant and refereed the info that was given to me. The lab tech & assistant agreed amongst each other to store my collecting then send for testing the next day. Wow. I was told I’d get a call when labs were sent off the following day. I then asked for the name of the doctor that I saw because I wanted to discuss the service I’d received with my insurance. The dr came to the front and was abrasive, argumentative, told me it was not her fault the lab was closed & refused to give me her name. All the assistants in the office refused to give me the doctors name/NPI number. I was ignored, I was overlooked, and did not feel I was treated with urgency or care. I did not raise my voice, or curse any of them. All I asked for countless times was the doctors name. One lady even came to the front and while looking in the computer on behalf of my appointment spoke ALOUD on the prescription written out for me in front of a male security guard who was also at the time behind the desk with her in COMPLETE BREACH OF HIPPA regulations. She also refused to give me her name. I was violated and disrespected by this doctors office on so many levels. I am currently in the process of filing multiple grievances with my insurance. I have reached out to the complaint line and have emailed their HIPPA officer. DO NOT GO HERE. They do not respect their uniform. The Ghetto, Unprofessional, Distasteful,UNETHICAL staff will be the death of this establishment.
Went to the dentist to have a tooth extraction. My main doctor is Dr. Johnson. He had a medical emergency which led me to another doctor to do my extraction. During the whole extraction he complained saying that “this is why i don’t wanna do anymore of his patients “. I literally had no choice but to lay there and listen to him like it was my fault he had to pull my tooth. Unprofessional. If my doctor isn’tin i won’t be coming back.
Their systems are confusing. I visited their East Point Location in early December. They scheduled me for March 14. The night before I go ahead and check in on line. Online they put the address for the Ridge St location. I write that address down.Now mind you, I am not familiar with SMS that well, and I just thought the address that they gave me was where they were going to see me the next day. I do not work there. I did not know they had that many locations. I only picked them because my dental insurance listed them.So I arrive at the Ridge St Location on time at 10:00 a.m. I signed in and sat down. I waited there till 10:45 a.m. I am called to the desk and they tell me my appointment was at the other location on Cleveland Avenue.I go to the other location, and tell them what happened, they say I have to reschedule for May. It was a mixup that to be honest, I probably should have caught. However, they should have ensured there was clarity on their end as to where I should be going for the appointment. They have dental offices in both locations. It is very annoying to have wasted that time for this appointment, and it signals to me disorganization.Since I paid some money for the visit, I may come back, but it would be the last time. As I go back and look at the email, they have the address I went to prominently at the top. Then at the very bottom they have the Cleveland Avenue location. You should never do that, smh.
This is the most unprofessional doctor i have ever been to. The doctor i seen today didn’t even know what tonsil stones were, didn’t swab me for anything, and he could barely here. All they did was stock me with a needle . The other time i came here the dr i seen literally rushed me out didn’t even ask me questions all cause she wanted to leave early. I mean she rushed me out so fast she had to catch me before i leave to ask me what’s my name and date of birth. This is sad fr
I had a 9am appointment for ultrasound I was there before 9 am and I was the only one for an ultrasound . I was called to be seen at 9:40 she sent me back out to drink more water and walk, she said it would only take her 15 minutes. I had to drink a total of 50 oz of water and walk the hall because she needed me to have a full bladder just to be told to reschedule for a week later because the ultrasound tech has a 10am training. I even had to buy the water from the vending machine.Back again and they scheduled me for the wrong reason! The first ultrasound didn’t show what was ordered
This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever seen. My son came in to get a follow up for some labs that he had done in the adult medicine department. His appointment was after hours and the entire department was ghetto and unprofessional. The staff wasnt wearing name tags and when we asked for her name, she blurted outTiffany, which I knew was not the truth because I asked another staff member her name and she said Tiffany also. I tried to speak to the administrator over the department, I was told her name was Ms Dudley. When we called her we were rudely hung up on, I left a message and she has yet to return my call. When I pay good money for my insurance benefits (blue cross blue shield) I deserve better treatment for my money. This place should be closed down, it doesnt make sense that we were treated so poorly when trying to seek medical attention. I will be taking further action and maybe even contacting the media to get a full investigation as to why people are being treated poorly in this establishment, and its always the people of color that treat their own kind with disrespect. The people working in this establishment are under paid ,low budget, with no class. Black people we have to do better. I will not be going back. I will take my hard earned money to Buckhead from here on out.Do not waste your time coming here..Update: It has now been over a week since my last review and I still didnt receive a phone call back from Djuana Dudley, the administrator over the adult medicine department. I think she was one of the low class , low budget staff members that blurted out Tiffany when I asked for her name. So sad because now I have to go over her head to resolve the matter. Im not letting it go..
Today I must admit I was heartbroken, thought I would be turned away for the time, however Ms Wendy Hamilton really did her best to help me and get me seen today for my physical exam ❤️ I truly appreciate you Wendy… you showed me today that you really care for your patience and your goal is to help everyone without a rush… I’ve experienced being rushed at doctor visits, however today because of you I had a very positive experience and I felt like you truly cared for my situation and the fact you asked question showed that you could relate and sympathize with what I really needed! Today was a WIN you truly understood my Wants Interests & Needs! Thank you Wendy at Ridge Avenue. I would also like to personally thank Ms Treese, very sweet person and has always made me feel very comfortable and welcome as my GYN! You’re the best! I’m proud to say I have been a patient at Southside medical since I was an infant, my PED was Dr Adams and I was able to see him again for many many years last night I was so happy! Thank you all ❤️
They said I could walk in without an appointment.. They DID NOT tell me they ONLY do an exam! I waited 3 hours for them just to LOOK at my teeth and give me one x-ray! Then told me I had to schedule an appointment for a cleaning..a whole 4 months out! ... And another SEPARATE appointment for a filling... Also 4 months away! I wasted my time and my money... They could have told me all this when I called!!!!
The ladies in the dentist and optometrist department are very rude and unprofessional. They provided me with wrong information weren’t apologetic and gave me unnecessary attitude afterwards. I am transferring and not going to think twice about it. The guy at the front desk is helpful and tried to get the correct information but the ladies were rude to him and over talks him like they are talking to a kid. They never answer the phone and the list goes on and on. One of the ladies complained the whole time about working there . This place is a whole entire GHETTO mess
The staff and doctors here are amazing and genuinely care about their patients. I been to 3 different departments in this building and had a great experience, especially for someone who doesn’t like going to get check ups/dentists. The only downfall is the incredible long wait time even if you have an appt.
Man this place is the WORST! the receptionist ‘Courtney’ is so RUDE ! She made things complicated instead of trying to help me. I came on time to my appointment and they basically took an hour just to get me sorted out. After, they told me I’d have to reschedule because it was too late and they have other appointments which wasn’t my fault because I came ON TIME ! They told me something completely opposite of what I was told over the phone :( I don’t recommend a dog going there !
This is really an unprofessional and Ghetto business everyone seems so miserable I mean even the receptionist in the children’s center have awful attitudes ….. I specifically made my kids appointments early so that I can still go to work on time. The first appointment was at 10:00am and the lady at 1130 it’s now 11:35 and there are 3 people still ahead of my kids… I’m starting to think their doctors are lazy and late everyday……
Im really tired of their dental department. I had an appointment that tooks months for me to wait, I got there, and their excuse was the dentist was in an accident he couldnt see me that day, ok I understood that so I rescheduled the appointment that was a month away. When I made it to that appointment all I got was and x ray and was given medicine and told to come back within 10 days for the extraction. No here it again today I have an appointment and I get here Dr. Battle is not in, we tried to call you ( you a tried lie) so we have to reschedule again and this appointment is in November and theres no other dentist that can see you. So Im suppose to go from July to November with a bad tooth. Unprofessional at its finest. I will find another dentist at this point. I gave one star because I couldnt post this without rating them
I called to make appointment with foot doctor and she the lady who answered the phones said hold on and I am currently still holding listening to that elevator music and it’s been 1:17:28 and counting. They just forgot about me. I did make a appointment while I was on hold with them at Piedmont Fayette and I am in real time still holding to see if they remember I was asked to hold. I pray this is not a 24 hour facility because I will probably be holding until then.I know that if their first contact is like this I don’t think I could trust them with my medical issues.
Dr. Jackson and his assistant performed an extraction for me and I couldn’t believe how painless and quick it was! Like most people, I dread the dentist but the experience I’ve had with Southside Medical dental office have been great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because one I got a list of prescriptions with the antibiotic missing and that was the main one I needed and so I had to go back the next day to get it corrected so the pharmacy could fill it. But even that return visit was pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend Southside Medical.
Today my experience at Southside Medical was wonderful. I always have a great experience when I come to this location. Today was different I had the pleasure to meet Ms. Dena. She was very pleasant and very professional also helpful. She has a great Personality and she has a great spirit. She made my dentist experience comfortable. Normally I am nervous but it was great. She is the best. Also everyone at the front desk makes me feel welcome every time I come there. They feel like family Keep that same energy y’all are so amazing.
Dr. Battle and her assistant are the best!!! Very professional! They removed my wisdom tooth in 10 minutes! I have always hated the dentist but they have definitely changed my mind! I’m no longer scared! Also Dr. Jackson is great too!! Overall this was a great experience!
Dr. Williams is the BEST dentist Ive encountered so far. When I say BEST I mean his patience and professionalism was unbelievable. Dr. Williams knew I was a bit nervous so he explained carefully before and during my procedure every little detail of what services he would being performing to insure I was totally comfortable. I was expecting the usual scary/painful dental visit. To my surprise, this was my first time ever experiencing absolutely no pain. I was totally impressed with my entire visit. To add, the staff at the front counter was patient and pleasant. I will definitely be returning for routine visits.
So in January I went to Dr. Jackson to have my tooth extracted. Dr. Jackson and his staff was so kind and caring. The Dental Assistant Erica was so supportive, as I laid there going through this process, which took all of like 2 minutes. I felt so relaxed and calm. Dr. Jackson and his team are great. I will be going back for all my dental care needs.
This is the worst experience I have ever had with a doctors office. There was a roach crawling across the wall in my room. Then they had me wait for over a hour before I was seen by the primary physician, who didnt actually seem to care about my health concerns or questions. Then they sent me to the pharmacy and lab, which both had extremely long lines. I waited in each for an hour, only to receive rude, disrespectful, and unorganized employees. it took 3 of the pharmacist to get my information correct and every time I tried to correct them they kept telling me to just hold on and be quiet so they could figure it out. This is a very unprofessional clinic and I DO NOT recommend it to anyone!!!!
The establishment is just unprofessional. To the way yhe answer the phone and you ask for help and the scheduling appointment people can never schedule an appointment because they apparently can never get in the system. If you don’t like to work then don’t go. Pass the job to someone who is passionate about taking care of people.
I have been calling for over a month trying to get a dentist appointment NO ANSWER ! I finally got someone on the phone last month she took all my info and nobody has yet to reach out to me. I called again this morning and I’ve been on hold for 57 mins. Like this is the worst experience ever ! Is it walk ins only or something ? Why does nobody answer the phone ???
This we the most unprofessional environment. The lady at the desk is talking super loud sharing patients personal busy. People in the waiting area was talking loud on the phone like nobody else is around. You have to wait way too long. They are turning walk ins away. Not a good place. Very very unprofessional.
I was in tears this morning due to very bad toothache!! I called them and they told me i can come in. Less than 10 minutes of me Getting there they were calling me to the back. Within secs of me meeting Dr. Williams i felt comfortable!! He was very nice understanding and friendly!! And took care of me very fast!! I would highly recommend anyone to go to this dentist office. They are amazing. This will be my dentist. Thank you all so much. See you guys soon!!
I had a great visit with Dr. Williams at the dentist office! With the sliding scale payment I didn’t have to spend a lot of money. I don’t have dental insurance. I got there at 2 pm I was done by 3:15 and I had an extraction! Bonnie and the other hygienist who’s name I didn’t get were amazing! Definitely going back ❤️
1/9/20Im very concerned.Medical exam.I dont know what to say about them. My first experience was very horrible.Front desk customer service poor.They not thorough with their information or relating the message as accurately.I gave them what they ask for Anna still got my name wrong and they had my information under somebody I took a blood test and all..I called a few times a main office they hung up on me after I waited 15 minutes to talk to them.I called three times after that I got no one..To me this is a reflection of the hospital.it got me questioning their whole operation as far as the doctors as well. Are they thoroughl do they even care.
Very unprofessional environment, I will be seeking OBGYN care elsewhere. Staff is not welcoming or professional. On multiple occasions I have called and someone will answer, and talk about another patient In the background (which I can hear) and is also a HIPPA violation, and have me on hold without letting me know I’m on hold. They don’t even put the phone on mute. The young women in the women’s center are not able to properly articulate ANYTHING. I scheduled and ultrasound appointment in which I was going to find out my child’s gender(which I was very exited for) only to be told the day before the visit that I had to reschedule because the tech was on vacation! I had just made the appointment the week before, nobody knew she was going on vacation!? There is no direct line to the women’s center to call so you will be bounced around until an operator is available. Overall
Mr. Jackson and Ms.Mary were absolutely amazing! Dr. Jackson was very caring and understanding about my situation. He is the best dentist in the USA. Ms.Mary also made sure I was ok and comfortable, while I was waiting for my extraction. I also had a couple of questions, and she answered all of them with a smile. Dr.Jackson you have the best staff I ever witnessed. You are seen very quickly here, and any concerns you have they will definitely make sure to provide you with all the information you need. If you are looking for an amazing dentist like Dr.Jackson or an amazing dentist staff like Ms.Mary, I would definitely say come here! Thank you guys for everything. I wish I could give you guys a 10 star rating!
They are very rude and unprofessional they do not know how to speak to people.. front desk dont know what they are doing not professional at all a young man had his bag of food in his hand when he was called to the back the lady that called him back said rudely you cant brang dat back here he ask what you want me to do she said ionkno real rude ..its not what you say its how you say it
I never wanted to say anything but honestly, Im not returning. I was scheduled for leep procedure two times. And Im not doing a 1 hour drive the third time. When they had me waiting in the waiting room for 1 hour to 30 minutes those two occasions to just tell me they have to reschedule those two times because they didnt have the equipment. And I tried giving it a chance but honestly Im not anymore. I understand it probably because first time I made the appointment at 11am because that first time the medical assistant told me there was 5 patients before me so they ask me to make the second appointment and this time i made it for 8:30am and i returned and guess what the same excuse because they didnt have the equipment for the procedure. This supposedly to preven from cancerous cervix yet they didnt have the equipment. Since yall dont humans resources to fix this problem. I had to post on here.Nunca quise decir nada, pero honestamente, no regresaré. Estaba programado para el procedimiento de leep dos veces. Y no voy a conducir 1 hora la tercera vez. Cuando me tuvieron esperando en la sala de espera durante 1 hora a 30 minutos, esas dos ocasiones me dijeron que tenían que reprogramar esas dos veces porque no tenían el equipo. E intenté darle una oportunidad pero, sinceramente, ya no. Lo entiendo probablemente porque la primera vez hice la cita a las 11 a.m. porque esa primera vez el asistente médico me dijo que había 5 pacientes antes que yo, así que me pidieron que hacia la segunda cita y esta vez lo hice para las 8:30 a.m. y regresé. y adivinen cuál es la misma excusa porque no tenían el equipo para el procedimiento. Had an appointment here to get an infected tooth extracted. I was extremely nervous. The dentist and hygienist explained everything, reassured me during, it was over in 10 minutes, the hygienist rubbed my hand during to comfort me and the dentist hugged me afterwards. The receptionists are also nice. I also appreciated that they took my income information and I paid on a sliding scale. I will be back!!! I really appreciate this place.
Ive been in a Atlanta for about a year. My first experience at the Adult Medicine Office was highly distasteful. Beginning from the missing letters on their sign out the office to the fast paced with slow results appearance. The nurses at the front desk at very chatty however patients are sitting patient for their name to be call upon. My appointment was set for 2pm and I arrived at 1:30pm to complete and submit my new patient form. I didnt receive real action until I approached the female nurses concerning the estimated wait time for a simple standard physical and that was at 3pm. I stayed at the front desk until a nurse came around from the back and called me to the back. I literally was seen before other patients who were present before I arrived. I felt as if I was in a twilight zone and I was going to wake up at anytime. Never will go back again.
Dr. Terrie Battle is such a good and patience dentist. I just wish they had a stuff animal or squeeze ball and play smoothing music to help with the whole process of the noise and the experience of getting your tooth extracted. I had a bad experience as a child and Im still traumatized! Overall my visit was great.
I had been up all night for two nights couldn’t eat couldn’t sleep because of my severe tooth pain.first off let me say the staff was polite and welcoming. I didn’t even have an appointment and the wait wasn’t even long Dr. Williams is the best. He made sure I was comfortable and the extraction process was quick and painless. On the real I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t come here I went to two other dentists offices and they didn’t do a damn thing. Didn’t even give me anything for my pain...I recommend this place especially for tooth extractions...btw prices are affordable
Dr Jackson and Rebecca were very amazing I went in to get a tooth pulled and when I tell you I didnt feel anything nor did I know my tooth was already out. It happened so fast and painless I couldnt believe it...You both are great. Ill will definitely be back and if any of you need any dental work I recommend you go here.
Dr. Williams in dental is great. I always have been scared of the dentist, but as soon as I walked in the front desk staff reassured me that I was in good hands. They were right he made me completely relaxed and was quick but thorough. I will definitely recommended them.
Riverdale location and Forest Park are horrible. Last time I went to the Riverdale location PA Adams for to send my high blood pressure medicine to my pharmacy. I called the Riverdale and they said I need to speak with the Forest Park location to have Adams submit my high blood pressure medicine to my pharmacy. I left numerous messages. Filed a complaint against Adams. Nothing was done. I called the Riverdale location again and I was sent one script with no refills. I normally get 3 refills. Currently my pressure is 171/110. The Riverdale will not send me a script all the providers are on vacation. I guess a nurse cant do it. They forward my call to the Forest Park location so Adams can send some pills until my appointment on the 29th. I already know Adams is not going to do it because he didnt when he was suppose to. I went to them for years. Now they are playing with my life. In the meantime I am sharing my aunts Medicine. I guess my life dont matter. I reached out to malpractice firm to see if I have a case. In the meantime I finding another practice SMDH!!!!!!
I was given all sorts of misinformation...I had to uber out there and wasted money because I was told something totally different from when I made appt. I was told that one check would be enough since I got paid once a month...but I actually needed two checks, because I have no insurance and was paying discount rate, so I couldnt be seen. i was told the doctor I would see during my appt but they werent even there so my appt turned into a walk in and I had to wait 6 hours. I wasnt told that I had to have a corona virus test and proof before going so when I got there then I was told I couldnt be seen. Then I was told to go across the street to the clinic and get a test done ...when I did I was told it would be a week before results. Then when I went back across the street to the main building I overheard a reception say that it would expire in 14 days. I was like what the hell. I wasnt told that and I dont get paid till after 14 days and thats when I can come back with the second pay check...whats wrong with you people I told you when I get paid and you still sent me to get a test when yall know it would be expired by the time I got back for the actual appointment in two weeks...this place is a damn trip...I wish i could afford to go elsewhere. I paid 25 bucks to uber out here and 25 to get back home and had no service done worth a damn. Yep this all happened in one day.EDIT: Got a tooth filled in Feb 2021...paid 250 cash..its only may and the tooth already has a hole in it. I will not go back again. Income based medical pricing means income based results...good luck to all who continue to use this place.
Every time I come to get work done by Dr. Jackson... Its amazing. His assistant Ebony is awesome. I had my teeth cleaned by Dena and she was awesome as well. I even had oral surgery as an emergency and they didnt make me wait. I will always come here. Thanks a million.
My grandmother and I have been coming to Southside for 6 years (grandmother is the patient. I come to assist.) It had always been a pleasant experience. However, we have never been treated as bad as we did last time. We arrived on time to our appointment at 11:30am. Upon arriving we were told we had a balance overdue for our last visit 6 months ago. We were confused because we have always paid on time and with no issues. We are loyal to the practice. In fact, we know from experience a patient isn’t even serviced until the payment is paid. So how did we get service last time? We paid the unknown “ balance” anyways trusting the front desk. Then we were told they did not have my grandmother’s income information and our visit that day would not have our usual discounted rate (she qualifies for low income household) Again, after 6 years of providing yearly documentation we are shocked to see not only did they seem to lose the document but we were treated like a couple of liars. We managed to come to an agreement. However, my 80 year old grandmother had now “missed” her appointment and was told to wait. She was not seen until 2:00 pm AFTER we threatened to leave. Keep in mind not only am I in a cast for my broken ankle but my grandmother had not ate anything that morning since she usually gets blood drawn and they tell her not to eat anything before. So we sat from 11:30-2 in a crowded waiting room while nurses and front desk staff laughed about some inside jokes and ignored us. This hurts because my grandma was a favorite in the office and always looked forward to her visits (Dr. Kotei and the Korean nurse who speaks Spanish are her favorite people.) We we’re finally taken to the patient room. After waiting another hour in the patient room we saw a new doctor (Dr. Benning) he performed a rushed unfriendly visit. We could tell we disrupted his lunch and he was not happy. He asked my grandmother questions like “Is their fat in your system? Do you have a thyroid problem?” All that information should’ve been in her file. He then said “your legs are swollen” and she said “probably because I’ve been sitting a waiting room for 3.5 hours.” I agree. When we got home my broken ankle had swollen up to the point where I had to keep it elevated the rest of the day. To be honest, this was a disheartening experience. Trust me, I understand what it’s like to work a high intensity job where you deal with unpleasant cases and often feel under appreciated. However, that is not the case with us. We have always appreciated and thanked everyone for their hard work. Nothing but respect for the previous staff. As for the new staff, I can say that they might’ve lost us on this one. If you read through this, I appreciate your time. I really hope you are able to take this into mind. We would hate to leave the practice but this is unacceptable. I can’t put her through that every time. I rather find a way to pay more in order to avoid this. If it helps our visit was on January 29th. 2020
Dr.Jackson (Dentist) is the best! His staff is awesome!!!Went in to get a tooth extracted and when I say quick and painless..QUICK AND PAINLESS. Dr.Jackson reassured me I would be fine and talked me through everything. His assistant was very pleasant and held my hand when I tensed up a little. I truly hate pain but this was by far the best experience.
Today was a nervous day for me. Had to get a tooth removed. I can honestly say Dr. Jackson and his assistant Ms. Rebecca changed that. They was nice and patient. Which helped me relax during the procedure. They made sure I was completely comfortable. Dr. Jackson has the coolest technique to remove a tooth.
I hardly ever ACTUALLY write reviews even though they are the first thing I check when making almost any decision especially about going to a new place.So with that being said I wanted to share my experience here today. I had an early appointment (9am) the women at they front desk were pleasant and professional one girl was training so it took a little time to get me checked in but no big deal, weve all been new somewhere before. Anyways they call me back 5 minutes later seen the medical assistant and the doctor in a timely manner. Eveyone was very nice i felt super comfortable. Even though this is a busy clinic setting I didnt feel rushed.Esthetically the place was clean and neat, and the guy at the front desk was very very nice when I came and left! They could use a little organization but I mean its a clinic with tons of departments and it looks like they train a lot of people at this location so other than that I was happy and pleased with my first visit there and will be furthering my care at SMC.
Please be prepared to wait OVER AN HOUR to be seen. I had to cancel my appointment. It was made at 10:15 I arrived early and still hadn’t been seen by 11:20. When I ask the lady how much longer she lets me know there’s still another person in front me. So basically I would have had to wait another hour to be seen! What then is the point of making an appointment. No respect for people’s time. A complete waste of time! I was a new patient but will NEVER BE RETURNING! I guess you have to be old and retired with tim to waste for this location to be of any convenience. Hate to think that locations in low income neighborhoods receive sub par service but that is evidently the case!
I love this place. My siblings and I went to Southside Medical Center from infancy until we were adults. I still go there from time to time. Its amazing and very affordable. Everyone they know exactly what they are doing and the services are always done in a timely fashion. This medical clinic is very reasonable and the location is easy to get to whether your are driving, walking, cycling, or on Marta (I am only referring to the main location on Ridge Ave. because I dont go to the other ones)
I have only been a Southside Medical Center patient for a few months, but the last visit I went in to have my pressure checked at 5:00pm. It was extremely high, the doctor who was about to leave not only came in and rechecked it but made me stay in the room until it went down. He prescribed me a new medicine and asked me to come back in one week to have it rechecked. I felt comfortable and I felt like he and his staff cared! Thank you Dr. Kotei and staff for saving my life! I love Southside!
The main office would be nothing without their amazing and caring dental staff! I love and appreciate them all at Southside Medical’s main location. I came in to see Dr. Battle and her Assistant Ebony,Conswala & Retta were amazing. The doctor took great care of me. Dr. Marable was amazing as well. They were very friendly and courteous to me. Starting from the front all the way to the back I had a wonderful experience. I would, recommend Southside dental at the main center to all my friends and family.
Went and got COVID 19 tested on July 1st!!!! Been waiting on results for 13days! Went to their location over 4 times trying to get the result! After waiting for over an hour they told me I was positive!!! I was so upset because no one ever reach out about my results! I been around numerous of people including my kids! This has put me in a different mindset about this place!!!! I would sent my worst enemy here!!!!! This place is setup for failure!!!!!!!
Dr.Battle is so professional and compassionate that it made an extraction a great experience and I don’t know what I would have done without her assistant to comfort me through the whole process they are truly amazing and the best dentist I have ever had no problems at all with the extraction!!! Omg , I love everything about her Dr😃😃😃😃
Very unprofessional establishment. My wife called on Friday to try and get a same day appointment because she was in pain and they told her they would call her back. They never did. She called again on Saturday and they told her they accepted walk-ins until 2pm. We rushed over and got there at 1:40pm only to be told the doctor has stopped accepting patients. My wife told her we were told walk-ins were accepted until 2 pm almost in tears from the pain. She said I hate it when they do that, thats only Mon - Fri. They were rude, unapologetic, and unempathetic. I wouldnt give them a penny to work on my dogs teeth. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH SOUTHSIDE!!!
Conawala WAS THE BEST! Her customer service was on point and she was very sweet and understanding. Even when I was crying she calmed me down sooo smooth I was very surprised. Dr.Williams did a great job pulling my teeth. He was quick, no pain and y’all me through it I was so happy I came her I really wanna thank his assistant for her great spirit.
Well there should be a NEGATIVE STAR as an option, but since i had to choose something 1 is what it is! Dr. Jackson and his staff especially the skinny receptionist/assistant with the glasses during check in are rude, unprofessional, and not sympathetic at all to patients in pain! Dont waste your time here. Had an appointment at 3 did not get called back until 4:25 with no explanation just where behind. After Dr. Jekyll knumb my gums, stuck me with several needles in my mouth he said he will not perform my extraction and just walked out. His Caucasian ghetto dental assistant started to act obnoxious like she was the one in pain. You are paying for services here so you might as well go to a professional Dentist office like Dent1st where they really care about there patients. Thats where i ended up going and will refer others.
My children and I have just moved to Georgia over a month ago ,my kids have been patients of the pediatric department since we have been here.The front staff is very nice however, They have lost their paperwork 5 or more times. they have sent my home with someone elses paperwork and have not given me any update on my kids shots records.I will be finding another provider.
Had a chipped tooth and My dentist never showed their face to me. They had their dental assistant do little to help and Said with the one look in my mouth that I needed it extracted or have a root canal and crown which they dont offer. I asked if they could buff the edge of the tooth down so it wasnt sharp and she said that after further investigation (:02 seconds) she can try to fill and had to make another appointment weeks away. I didnt trust them for a second so I walked out. You get what you pay for when your looking for low income and you will waste hours of your life.
The worst doctors office ever the staff is rude the service is slow and the doctors are very lazy and will misdiagnose you always get a second opinion or just don’t pick this location the phones never work and when you ask for the person in charge they will never call you back
I was scheduled for a physical at 3PM on a Friday. I showed up at 2:40 (early to do paperwork) and didnt leave until 5:20!When I scheduled my appointment, I informed the receptionist over the phone that I wanted a physical and a workup for STDs. I asked what I should do prior to the physical - any instructions - she told me flat out she didnt know. OK, so I researched on the internet how long to fast for and didnt eat the morning of my appointment.When checking in I was informed that the doctor who was supposed to do my physical was not working that day. Im not too particular about my provider, so it shouldnt be a big deal. Filled out my info on the tablet. I got into the back area rather quickly. Two women did a preliminary workup on me and asked me a bunch of questions about my health history. Again, I discussed how I wanted a full workup and check for STDs. However, the strange thing was they were discussing other patients - how many they had left, who was next, when they were leaving , etc. They leave the room at 3:20 - I finally see a provider at 4:40 - literally an hour and twenty minute wait in a room. Hes a young PA - not a doctor and does a quick workup on me. I never ended up even seeing a doctor while in this facility! He seemed very rushed - asked me my age - Im fairly certain he didnt even take the time to look at my medical history. I stopped him and asked him about the blood work-up and STD test. He said I would need to fast and be prepared - I let him know I already did that. He turns to his assistant- says its 5 oclock and asks if the lab is still open (I would have been super angry if it wasnt - would be another trip for me!). Turns out the lab was open til 6 and he writes a me a prescription for a panel.I go downstairs to the lab - no one is present at the front desk - there are signs that point to the lab but no signs anywhere near the front desk to distinguish it. No employee is there to check patients in - you write your name on a sign-in sheet and there is a bell on the desk - if you ring it no one is going to come anyway. I sign my name and the time (Im second on the list). Really upset that Im going to have to wait a second time for my blood work and urine test. Several people come right after me to sign in. The one person in front of me calls someone on the phone - states she is sick of waiting and will come back another time and scratches her name off - this bumps me to the front.I get called back by the person drawing blood. Do my urine sample first - got sat at a desk right next to another patient who had track marks down her arm. The phlebotomist is trying to get a vein but cant - so then she gives that patient a break and takes my blood - all the while the patient next to me is making jokes about how she wishes she had my veins - we are within inches of each other! Not only that another pt at the front starts ringing the bell repeatedly and yells Now Im gonna wait another three hours?! The phlebotomist yells very loudly that she will be with them shortly.I ask the phlebotomist when my blood work will come back - she says it will take a week and that a follow-up should be made upstairs - at this point I just want to leave. I decided I would call and make a follow-up, but why was this not done by a staff member?! Why do I have to inquire about the next visit and when to get my results?! ZERO communication by staff.Terrible experience here - for something as simple as a routine physical I was in the building over 2.5 hrs. It could have been worse if I didnt rush down to the lab to get my blood work - the lab could have been closed or I could have been far down the sign-in list.Not to mention this clinic is not clean or nice - no employees are friendly - everyone seems annoyed or irritated and just want to go home. I rarely ever write a review but I work in the healthcare field - I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
My appointment was at 2:30. I arrived at 2:00 to fill out the paperwork. I am having back pain and today was the only day I could take off of work. It is currently 4:25. I still have yet to see a doctor.Edit: with him now and he actually listened to me. I might wait for him again bc he is very nice.
This place is poor. I came in today for results, appointment 9am been here over an hour and had not been call. These people @ the desk giving excuses. I had to say something for them call me in. Desk people are rule telling me about other patients are waiting. I told the lady I dont care about patients Im checking about me. Everytime I go and have to come back for results its a all day wait. 10am now the nurse came in went over the blood work and that was 15mins ago. The waiting is ridiculous, but when it comes to my doctor he is very thorough.
The worst medical center ever, I had a 2:30pm appointment May 16, 2018. I did not get brought to the examination room till 3:30pm. The waiting room was not packed at all. 4:30pm come around and still no doctor no one check to see if I am burning the building down or passed out. LOL!! So 4:45 pm comes around. I grab my bag to go leave and get a refund of my $151.00. The doctor looking like Grady (Character from Sanford & Son) yell’s at me“ What do you need a refill or a prescription”! I am like who says that in the middle of all hallway. I was uncomfortable about that. I he looked like he was coming in from a bar all rough looking. I just ignored him. I requested my money back and could not get out of there fast enough.
This place is poorly managed I was the first in line at 7:30 the dentist opens at 8:00 staff for dental didn’t come untill 8:30 only to have me wait over 3 hours because I was a walk in not rite well after the 3 min visual I was sent to the pharmacy only to learn my medication was over priced by 5 ... 75$ I was so mad I left went to Walmart got my meds FOR 17$ THIS PLACE IS NOT RUN PROPERLY THEY NEED TO REEVALUATE THE POLICY THE MEDICATION PRICING and THE WALK IN POLICY
This place is ratchet, rude, and very unprofessional. I had a appointment and sat there over 3 hours. When you call and ask to be transferred they hang up in your face or just stay silent until you hang up. They need way better staff who actually cares about the patient coming to visit. All the staff (except for the dentist people) lack enthusiasm and are very nonchalant.
We recently started taking our newborn daughter and five year old son here and we absolutely love our experience every time we come. From the front office staff to the medial assistant Tanila to Dr. Lu. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable and are patient with us if we have any questions or concerns.
I want make a major compliant. I had a MRI done 9-21-18 and the result was suppose to go Dr.Alvarerz McLeod . I called So Side Medical on Monday this week .I spoke with the young lady that ordered my meds and she transferred my call to Dr. Alvarerz nurse Unicqe, no one answered the phone. I spiked by with the young lady who ordered my meds. We left a message for to be called. No call from So Side. I called Dr. Baptist Jones and she was able to make my appt and to find out when will my meds be ready. I truly thanked her. My Dr. Appt was set 6-29-18 @ 1p.m. I arrived at the office at 12:20 pick up my meds and checked in . I was called to to my exam room at 12:50. After being in this room for about 15 minutes, I heard Dr.s nurse ask this other lady to do my vitilies because she did not want to deal with me. I remained in that exam room for 1 HOUR and 20 minutes . I heard nurse outside my room so I told i had another appt to get too. Unicqe looked me and kept walking. I waited another 15min and walked out a s saw everyone at the end of the hall eating. I said are you all mad at me I have waiting to long. The Dr. Came and said No one told her I was there. Saying all of this to say Dr Alvarez support staff is very unprofessional. The nurse was rude and did not have the information the Dr. Needed so my appt could go smoothly. Dr. Alvarez called me to give the results of my test. I do like Dr. Alvarez very much she goes the extra mile for her patients, but her support do not do their work. I hope this message get to the correct person so something can be done.
I have had approximately ten appointments with Southside dental department and can say without reservation that it is the most efficiently run department here. I mean from the front desk all the way back are not only efficient, but I feel welcome at every single appointment. Particular mention goes to ebony ,Rebecca, Dena and sadaf.,
Dental needs are great but Adult Medicine and Womens Health are insane. Unless you have no where else to go, then go here. Other wise be ready to spend all day here. Get ready to see different doctors and not be able to receive results on any diagnostic unless you go in a wait all day again. My new doctor cant even get their office on the phone to receive them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Save yourself the fuss.
Worse place ever!!!! They are always extremely slow, the staff does more talking than working. I arrived an hour early for my appointment yet its 30 minutes after my appointment and I still havent been triage. Reconsider attending this facility youll spend your whole day waiting for simple follow up visits.
I didnt have an appointment and Im grateful that a doctor was able to see me. I was disappointed waiting for my prescription for twice as long as they said it would take, still waiting and in great pain. Tell people it will be over and hour, if it will be over and hour.
This has to be the worse medical clinic Ive ever been to. The front desk staff is very unprofessional. They give preference to the people they know that walk in. I came into the clinic at 11:45 they told me I would have to wait until after 2 when they are done with lunch. After coming back at 2 I waited in waiting room after 4 at this time they said they were not taking anymore walk ins and I would have to wait for night clinic. I was in alot of pain the two young incompetent girls behind the desk found it funny that I waited in pain for five hours. Never again do not come to this clinic you will recieve poor seservice. If you dont know the staff you will wait forever and may never get called back.

My experience was wonderful nurse Daria was fast and explained everything very well. Also had a very vast knowledge of the medical field had a answer for all my questions. Dr. Kotei was great very friendly and straight to the point. They care more about my health than I do. Best primary care physician in the city.
Southside medical center SUCKS. They are so unprofessional and condescending. I called before going up there and was told by the operator that I can be a walk-in as long as I make it there before 2:00 p.m. I arrived at 1:40p.m. and the receptionist told me the doctor stop accepting patients at a certain time. I then told the receptionist that I was told that if I make it here by 2:00 p.m. I would be able to be seen. Not caring that I was in pain the receptionist responded and said I hate when they do that. Me and my husband just left and we will never return to this hole in the wall establishment the call a medical office ever again.
Service is subpar at best. I have had appts rescheduled without being notified, appts cancelled or put back because staff meetings werent accounted for, and the front desk staff are the worst ever. They completely lack understanding of patient privacy and are very unprofessional...constantly on their cell phones.
This clinic is HORRIBLE. Last Monday I was seen for a follow up visit at 6:30pm The nurse and the doctor who saw me was talking out loud near the front desk about my medical information and was so ghetto and just didnt care. HIPPA was definitely violated. I should have never came back but noooooooo. I go another day. I had a PCP visit today for a Wellcheck exam which was totally a waste of my time. My appointment was at 2:30pm I did not get seen until 4:30pm. The doctor told me he didnt recommend getting my glucose, HDL and LDL checked because I looked healthy. It simply blowed my mind that a doctor would rather guess that a person is healthy oppose to actually factually knowing. I insisted so he ordered the labs. I went to the lab at 5:10pm. The lab hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm. The representative closed the lab down 1 hour and 30 minutes early telling everyone her help didnt show up and that is why she closed the lab early. Remind you she had no authority to close early. She is the lab tech not the supervisor manager nothing. I drove all the way from work to this facility from Duluth Georgia to get absolutely nothing done at all but a stethoscope on my stomach, back and neck where the doctor listen for 2 seconds, my pressure check. Oh I breath in a few times. Cant forget that. What kind of wellcheck is this. This is literally all I got done today. This is one of the most unprofessional places to get seen.
Where should I start from if youve ever experienced wisdom teeth pain youll understand where Im going with this the DENTAL DEPARTMENT at this location is plan out amazing soon as I walked in seqouyah (receptionist) welcomed me in as the tears were rolling down my face she instantly treated me as a patient that came on a regular basis with it being my very first time stepping feet in this location ... after seqouyah registered me she made sure she checked on me several times minutes later I meet the Dental assistant rebbeca she was welcoming as well she made me feel reassurance that they would take good care of me and they did I left painless Dr. Jackson did a great job as well he was very understanding of my irritations he immediately knew what I needed to be done and what they could do for me at the present time my experience at southside clinic DENTAL DEPARTMENT was beyond five stars the staff took good care of me and gave me reassurance that Everything would work out just fine. Lacking in customer service and professionalism. Phone and operating system can be an ordeal to maneuver when scheduling appointments and asking questions. Staff in dental department leave much to be desired. I do not blame every department for the facilitys short comings, but the organization as a whole will suffer if staffing and efficiency is not addressed.
Where do I start? I have been at the adult medicine office for an hour and still have not been seen. There are patients ahead of me yet to be seen. I dont understand. Is there not enough doctors or did they overbook patients. Im not utilizing a subsidized medical plan. I have superb insurance and I have to wait. This is absolutely ridiculous.
My love my Experience at Southside medical Ms.Rebecca and Dr. Jackson is everything I was scared too get my tooth pulled but the helped me Thur it! Also put on some music so I want even thing about it I love this Facility so much I would recommend any and everyone too go there!
THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE EVER! Set an appointment, drive an hour plus from Gwinnett just for them to tell me I couldn’t get an ultrasound b/c a referral form will have to be filled out and submitted before the doctor seen me! Shouldn’t this type of information and question assessment be given out during or while setting your appointment to avoid any kind of mishaps/dilemma? Waste of time this morning!
Just had a visit to the dental dept and it was extra special. Both hygienist collaborated regarding my treatment and it was a great experience. Both Dena and Sadaf treated me so special and filled me with so much knowledge . I started my deep cleaning and there was no pain. My dentist Dr.Williams is awsome and the front desk receptionist Kai knows what great customer service is. SMC Dental Dept is like no other .
Let me start start off by saying wow. I was extremely nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed Dr. Jackson, Rebecca and Ebony took care of me like I can was family. Ebony held my hand to help come my nerves while Rebecca and Dr. Jackson went to work. Thankyou so much my experience was a excellent!!!!!
My appointment was at 9:15am. I got there early. I still sat in the waiting room until 10:50am. They took everyone who came after me before me and when I asked if I was being skipped, they lied to my face and said those people had appointments before mine. They did not apologize. The nurse was about to come grab the next patient. They stopped her and asked who she was grabbing and it wasn’t me. Then they finally took me. Still no apology. I got lab tests taken after my appointment. They said lab results come after about one week. It has been THREE WEEKS and they don’t have my results but they won’t admit it. Every time I call they say someone will call me back. Super unprofessional. Never going back.
I was really put off by the reviews on here and slightly scared but I went in (as a walkin) and the people were really nice and the place is really clean. The receptionist in the lobby is a tad loud and funny they should put her in a commercial because she is a walking advertisement. Staff is professional and quick I was in and out within a few hours barely waited for anything. Thank you!
Terrible, i arrived early for my scheduled appointments time and still had to wait close to two hours before seeing the doctor. Am i expecting too much? I think not the doctors should give the patient the respect we give them by arriving on time. My time is just as valuable.as theirs.
This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!!!!I dont understand why my mother continues to come here and she has Medicare. You make your appointment and still have to sit and wait over an hour. The Adminstrative staff are lazy and rude. Its to many Seniors that come here for this place to have such useless service as they have. But if people dont complain the service will not change!!!!
When scheduling...triple check times and dates with both scheduler and nurse station(if possible). Complete paperwork as quickly as possible for others who have appointments AFTER you will go next. Tell lady in white coat to slow down when she speaks to patients because we are not concerned with who all she has to see. Lastly, MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE A LATE APPOINTMENT AND NEED BLOODWORK. The lady in that department will tell you how she is worn out and CLOSED. If possible, go somewhere else, these african-american women are overworked, underpaid, and possibly miserable.
This was by far the worst medical center Ive ever visited. There were HIPPA violations left and right. They actually brought someone elses pap smear jar and open file into my room and set them down in front of me. Also they led me into another patients room to use the scale while the patient was in there with a nurse. I actually had to say uh, please dont announce how much I weigh out loud.Im not trying to seem snobby. Ive been to plenty of low-cost health care facilities, but none ever made me feel as though my privacy was at risk.
DENTAL. I went to see dr Jackson today and ebony. Omg they were the best. They went above means and expectation to make sure Im ok. I have severe anxiety. Lord knows I didn want to go through with it. I also know I needed to. Dr Jackson placed a wet napkin over my eyes so I didn HV to see the needle. While ebony fan me and they comfort me. Kept me informed on everything. Kept me calm. I dont care where dr Jackson go if her ever left Southside. I will follow without a second thought. He is the ONLY one I trust with my dental work. The People up they were nice but they gave me and my mother the wrong persons prescription we live an hour away! We have to drive another hour up there just to get the right paper! Which was ridiculous and it smells awful in there! Someone needs to fix that odor ASAP.
I have been trying to have an issue resolved with them for TWO YEARS now and keep getting tossed around their internal system constantly. I am having to resort to writing stuff like this on their social media accounts in the hope that someone will reach out. This place is the worst.
Today I went to Dr. battle for my teeth and she did an excellent job on them wonderful job I’m very very satisfied I wish I have been went to her and I just wanted to let somebody know The visit was great and a good experience She Pulled my teeth and I just know it was over with for me it was funky it was hurting very bad like I thought nobody could help me but she came Through for me thank you so much Dr.battle that was the best wisdom tooth extraction I have ever had!!!!!!!
The dentist hygienist damage my teeths and I havent heard anything from them when bad things start happing to the person who damage my teeths .and the person who took the paperwork that I given her . they both will know why . karma dont play . God is the master of karma and they will get their pay back . for the damage that they did to me .

I was having a horrible day. I was at the emergency room, Atlanta Medical a week before for a supposedly positive TB test. I was told to schedule an appointment. I scheduled an appointment and I went to the office on Ridge. They told me that i was at the one on Cleveland Avenue. Went to Cleveland Avenue they didnt know anything about my appointment and really didnt care. They sent me to two different buildings, so all together that was a total of four buildings I went to and nobody knew anything about my appointment that was scheduled. I finally make it to 1100 Cleveland Avenue which that is NOT where my appointment was and MAXINE was the best help ever, not only did she take her time with me, but she gave me a waiver, so I didnt have to pay for the pop up visit. She also wrote me up a referral for a chest xray which was highly recommended for my situation. Pretty much everything turned out great!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you Maxine. Ive been here six times. Everytime i come they say a different excuse. Very rude and unprofessional. You wait all day just to get told they not gone see you. My tooth is broken inside my mouth and they gave me no medicine or didnt see me i wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I have been employed with southside main center(ridge Ave) over a year I grew up in this community and always love the customer survser here so I decided long ago to become a part of this team and when I was given the opportunity I gladly accepted ,and have been happy ever since I love my job, my patients and co-workers....granted I and we as a team can please everyone we try our best.... Im honored,and happy to serve and spread joy to all I encounter and try my best to please and accommodate who ever come in the office as well as I know my co worker do...so please come meet us for your self and dont let one persons opinion ..keep you from a great one...
Came in as a walk-in @9:30am they told me that I have to wait till a opening is open. It’s 1:25pm the lady’s behind the desk has said nothing to me. The lobby in empty I’m confused on how they waiting in a opening when it’s no one in the lobby. So I went to the desk and ask she cut me off saying I still don’t have a opening. Customer service suck a** here. Need to find a better way to service people that do walk-in
Horrible Custoner Service. I called to inquire about something and everyone sounded as though they had just woke up. As I was talking to someone I felt rushed because the lady put me on hold before I was done talking. This makes me not even furather my interest with them.
They are so slow in the women’s center there I had a appointment at 10:00 and I had to sit until 10:45 to get seen then as well the lab was packed had to wait 45 mins just to get blood work done not to mention I missed my other appointment at 11:45 dealing with them.
Southside Medical Center accepts all the insurances including Medicaid and Medicare. The beauty of SMC is that they provide quality care for the WHOLE family! if you need to get your eyes check, get a dental exam, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, Prenatal, Nutrition, Specialty, Lab, and even a Pharmacy, they take care of you. They have 8 locations around Atlanta, and also offer a sliding fee scale if you dont have insurance. Theyve been around for 46 years, and is the largest community healthcare center in Georgia. The Doctors are top notch and very nice. SMC also has a Mental Health and Behavioral Clinic. SMC is a great help to the undeserved community of Atlanta.
Complete waste of time. Rude receptionist, unhelpful staff.Everyones response to your questions are, I just sit here & answer phones, I didnt even know we had a portal, I just make appointments. Unreal wait times just to get to the back & see not a room is being occupied. complete disfunction
They have horrible service went today for the first time and the doctor was a Indian lady nasty attitude very nasty then she gone tell me she been doing this for years but had a idk answer to everything we was telling her I wanna go over here head and report her but dont know what I have to do to talk to someone then paid a lot of money and still at square one
They are very unprofessional . I asked to speak with a supervisor she hangs up on me and tell she can not do it . I called back to speak with the supervisor again she claim she never spoke with me so they have people pretending to be manager so theyre coworkers want get in trouble for being rude or whatever someone would be calling on then about .

2022-02-02My experience with Dr. Torrie Battle was phenomenal! From my examine appointment, to my extractions and the overall treatment was exceptional! Following the procedure I have felt zero pain and minimal discomfort. She was very patient and understanding and she made me feel a sense of calmness during my procedure. For the first time I really look forward to returning to the dentist! I cannot forget to acknowledge Ms. Sadaf who provided an excellent cleaning for my 12 year old son. The environment was very kid friendly and she was very detailed with her work and professionalism! Thank you both for making our visit at Southside Medical Center memorable!

2022-03-17This was my first time here.. when I say the experience was phenomenal I mean it... Dr Tiffany Muse made me feel so comfortable and relaxed... I also had to get blood work at their lab and Christina is the BEST! I didnt feel a thing and I mean nothing!! This is my new medical home, because of this experience... I will definitely be back! Southside medical center is the BEST medical center ever!!!

2022-04-26I can only speak about my experience at the main campus (adult medicine). My first visit I thought went great, staff was attentive, everything was good. I was wrong. I had some labs drawn and have been trying to get results for almost a month now. It’s hard to get a hold of someone on the phone and IF you are able they speak in a rude manner. I called the hotline to make an appointment to get my lab results they said the earliest they had available would be end of May and if I wanted something sooner I would have to speak with the office directly. They transferred me and the lady that answered said the earliest I could get an appointment with the doctor would be June (it’s April). I called my insurance company and with the help of them I was able to get an appointment scheduled in a few days. After I receive my results today I will be finding somewhere else to receive care. They scheduled me to be seen at 1045. I got here at 1039. It’s currently 1208 and I’m still waiting which is why I have time to write this review.If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

2022-06-21Dr. Battle Is a great Dentist. She works with me every time I come in to ensure my treatment gets completed in a timely manner. Her assistant Cynthia is very sweet. I wish all the patients could come to her she shows me so much care every time I come.

2022-06-21I’m here @ this clinic been waiting over an hour and have not been seen. Walk in and no one acknowledged you. This clinic has horrible service, I won’t ever go back there. I will be changing clinics. The staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. I have been going to this clinic for years and instead it gets better it gets worse. Nothing about this is good. If these people and be kind to and friendly then they are in the wrong profession. 5:35pm still waiting. Unacceptable!! I waiting and writing this review so the public can see and read my thoughts. This is after hours clinic 😡☹️. Again unacceptable, still waiting and no service no acknowledgement. This is Absolutely crazy, still haven’t been seen ask about requesting my medical records and the nurse throw the clip board @ me. So I said I will file a complaint. Then I left cause apparently nobody is complicating with you, I have to constantly asking what was going on how much longer can’t get a straight answer. This is the worse service I’ve ever had in the 12 years coming to this clinic.

2022-06-29I really grateful for south side medical dentist office. The staff is really great and their patient. I had a toothache that had me on edge, I went in as a walk in and was able to get some antibiotics . It may take some time for you to get seen but that’s because a lot of people go. No more than 2 hrs you will be in and out the door. Thank you to staff of south side medical.

2022-05-12First the never ever answer the phone & if they do, they’re very rude. Or they answer the phone and immediately hang up. they’ve done this 5 times. The receptionist ladies are always very rude. I went for a dentist appointment and wasn’t told until i got there and waited a good 15 minutes that my doctor wasn’t there and they needed to reschedule me but for 2 months later. after they’ve already rescheduled my appointment twice, two months apart each. highly unprofessional. wouldn’t bother going here as nothing gets done about these matters. continues to get worse

2022-06-17Dr.Battle is a wonderful dentist. She made me feel really comfortable and did a wonderful job taking out my teeth. Her staff Kelra is wonderful as well. Im looking forward to my next appointment with her.

2022-02-22This place is horrible for dental especially if you are a man. They somehow let beautiful women come and get done in a couple weeks or they can push your date back 3 months after waiting hours for an exam. Then you have to come back in more months for cleaning and then more months for fillings. Mananger hangs up in your face. Good Luck
