Speed Auto is beyond awesome 👏 they were able to give me a loaner so I didnt have to sit at the shop all day while they were working on my vehicle. The staff is courteous and they take the time to explain any work needed and not just say you need to fix this I highly recommend them and best of all they are open on Saturdays!! Oh and their prices cant be beat thats really the best part 😊

Well priced, friendly front of shop personnel, didn’t gouge me for extras even though I brought my own parts - but actually refused to do my alignment because they didn’t like my air suspension lift (fine, agree to disagree) and either forgot or decided not to rotate my tires / do an emissions test. However they installed my part and it appears to be solid work. My main gripe is that the shop wasn’t communicative. I didn’t receive a call back any of the three times I was told I would, and when I was able to reach the manager I was blamed for having dropped the car off at the wrong branch, installing a lift kit he didn’t like, and dropping it off during their Christmas party. Then no one called when the work was done. Funny thing is I’m pretty easy going would have had zero complaints if I hadn’t had to chase them down for information.
They fixed the problem for the price they quoted. Not having any problems since the repair. I would have like some more proactive communication, but they did respond to my calls and give me the information I requested. I would use them again.
I dropped off my car because there was an issue when braking and turning at the same time. I picked it up and was told they drove it and even lifted it and said they saw no issue. Later that day I took a look on my dash cam and they never lifted my car. Only drove it around and stopped by the gas station for some snacks 🙃
Speed is the only shop I trust. I live in Atlanta proper and go out of my way to bring my car to them(they have loaners!). They’re consistent and fast. Excellent communication. I’ll always be back here.
I highly recommend this shop. Amazing customer service, fair pricing. They caught an issue that could have turned into a serious accident for me. Funny thing is I only went in for an oil change and tire rotation but the mechanic heard a weird noise coming from my rear wheel and notified me immediately. Problem resolved🙏🏾

I had availed the service of pre-purchase inspection. I chose the place because of the Google rating but I was not very impressed by the service provided. I arrived 15 minutes late for my appointment and they made be wait 45 minutes. Moreover, the inspection was not very thorough. It was supposed to be a 45 minute - 50 minute inspection. My car was standing outside and they took only 20 minutes to inspect because they had other bookings. Some aspects were not mentioned and they were overlooked.I was charged $125 for the same service which others are charging between $60 - $80. The place is unnecessarily over priced.

Tim and the other folks at Speed did a great job installing a new high output alternator on my project Excursion as well as diagnosing and fixing several blower control and motor issues. Reasonable prices and prompt very effective service. Definitely would HIGHLY recommend.

I’m not sure what happened to the great mechanics that were here late 2019 & last year, but now all they do is rush you out the door and do half work. I’ve been going here since 2019. I was here about 3 weeks ago to get a Synthetic Oil change. They were supposed to check fluids and top them off and later after getting home I realize they didn’t. Also I asked them to check my brakes because they squeak when I brake. They tell me your brakes are good maybe next oil change you can change them. I went and got a second opinion and it was exactly what I was feeling. I barely had any pad left and had to get them replaced.I call and speak to the manager Tim believe that’s what he said his name was. However, he didn’t want to take responsibility for anything. Not even an apology that they forgot to top fluids. He tries to come up with all types of reasons and excuses to what could of happened to my fluids within 3 weeks time. Also tried to convince me my brakes could be squeaking for hundreds of reasons and could get “about 5000 more miles with them squeaking” WHAT?!! He was very defensive I didn’t want anything but called to let them know what the mechanics had done so they wouldn’t do it to anyone else. Instead he goes we can change your “front brakes for $500” Anyway I will not be going there again or referring anyone else to go.
Tim and his crew are timely and conscientious. The front desk staff is also pleasant and helpful. I really appreciate their loaner car. As a real estate agent, I need wheels when mine is in the shop. I appreciated not having to bum rides off my friends like a teenager! Definitely recommend Speed Auto Repair for your needs.
Shop may look small, but they are able to get everything done, from alignment to engine work. While other shops turned away my business because the job was too complex, they were able to get it done within a short time frame, with good work quality. Pricing is competitive, and while other shops are weeks out for wait time, they live up to the name and get it done. I live in Roswell, and will be keeping my business local with these guys. Nice to see the owner running around with his team, keeping everything running smoothly.

I met Jim Brown a little over a year ago and in that short time have come to know him to not only own a thoroughly professional business but also as a person of integrity and discretion. Not that this is the norm, but my first visit to him to diagnose a body issue with my vehicle resulted in an invoice of $0.00...and he merely said its all in a days work...impressive. Since then he has serviced another vehicle of mine both quickly and with quality. I only trust this location to fix my car. They are honest with me and fix my problems quick. Not only that they do a fantastic job fixing my car problems. Excellent service, super fast. I had another quick oil change place tell me I needed brake pads. Speed Auto checked and said I didn’t need them yet, just did my brake flush. Earned my business in that one decision. They easily could have replaced the pads and I wouldn’t have been the wiser. See you next time guys!

Well they spammed me with texts begging for a review for a week so if they want one so bad here it is.I arrived at 4:30 and they close at 5. Very first thing manager guy told me was they close at 5 like I was doing something wrong, and I felt in his energy tenseness like he was rushing me and annoyed that I showed up 30 minutes before they closed. There was 0 other customers there, and all I needed was a simple conventional oil change, so I found this quite offputting. Sat in the office while I watched out the window as their technician googled how to change the oil on my make of car for about 15 minutes before he did the job. So yeah overall not really good or welcoming energy from the staff, and the staff itself seemed a bit unprofessional. I think next time I’ll just buy some oil and a drip pan at Walmart and do it myself for half the price. 3/5 because they did do the job correctly but it wasn’t a very pleasant experience and I don’t like when my phone is harassed with texts begging for reviews

Speed Auto was was recommended to me several years ago by a trusted friend and I have have trusted them since. They dont jerk you around and theyre repair prices are more than reasonable. I recently had several expensive repairs I needed addressed. I made those known before scheduling an appointment to Jim Brown, owner (proprietor) , before bringing my car in...on a Saturday...that Id kike my car back same day if possible. Speed automotive has kept my 2007 Toyota Sienna minivan on the road since I bought it in 2011 with 58,000 miles on it. I now (2-16-21) have 222,000 miles on it. Their prices are very reasonable, they treat you like family and they are really accommodating!

They are great! Had the brakes checked on my work van and they said they were good and did not need any work, very honest. Also got the oil changed and tires rotated and were in and out with little down time for my Technician so he could get back to work.

This is a great place to take your car for repairs. I thought they were reasonable and friendly. Cory was the guy that helped me with my car and the front desk guy was also very helpful. I think his name was Tim! I am considering buying tires there also!
Normally this is a good place to get an oil change. I purchased a Groupon for oil change and tire rotation with car inspection. While waiting the head mechanic came and talked to me and mentioned my front struts needed replaced a quoted me $900 for the job. I thought about getting it done but took it to my dealer just to get a second look. My dealer said there was no issue except for a loose mount and they tightened it free of charge, it was no big deal. Thats completely the opposite of what speed Auto mechanic told me. Thanks to my dealer I saved $900.
I don’t find this place to be ethical or professional. They wanted to charge me 1k for a mass air flow sensor, to replace spark plugs, and add some engine cleaner. I bought the parts and did it myself. Parts were 220. So they wanted to charge almost 800 for labor.to add insult to injury, I was still charged 95 dollars for diagnostics even when I took the code to them. I will not be taking my business here ever.
Jim brown, Tim, and the crew at SpeeD auto are first class! They’re thorough and trustworthy (which says a lot about a mechanic). Their customer service is incredible and they never stop until the problem is fixed. I would hand these guys my car keys and a blank check for them to do what needs to be done and they wouldn’t rip me off. Good to find a good mechanic.
Really quick check in and great service. They have an amazing waiting area as well with fast internet and coffee. I was able to work uninterrupted and get constant status on my car. I stopped in this morning for an oil change and emissions. They got me right in, and made some recommendations for some additional work I need done. It was exactly what I expected. They did not get and force any unnecessary work. Great job, great service.
Went in because my car overheated and when I went they said it was the radiator. I pay to get that fixed and my car kept over heating the next day after I paid almost 1100 for a new radiator. I get it towed back there and two hours later they tell me I need a new water pump which was 900! I feel like as mechanics you should’ve known all this was the problem before I paid for the radiator thinking that was the only issue when it wasn’t. Car was driving fine before I took it there and now I can’t even drive it!
This shop has the best service and a very customer oriented staff. Everyone is professional and honest with their recommendations with the services you need. Ive been a customer for over 4 years since moving to the area and will continue to come back for all of my auto needs. They even do emissions for a low price of $20 (unlike most metro atlanta who do it for 25).

Quick and friendly service. However, after my alignment my steering wheel was still pulling slightly to the left. I didnt notice, but my husband did. On the service summary it showed that no correction had been made to that side, and I wish that someone had taken the time to explain to me why not.
This automotive shop is truly rare due to its highly professional no nonsense execution of all facets of their daily operations. It was a pleasure to watch skilled technicians efficiently demonstrate their abilities. Timothy, the shop manager, was extremely helpful and patient. Tim is knowledgeably and a excellent manager. For over a decade, I used to take all of my cars always to dealerships. While dealerships usually do great work but I was getting tired of big bills they charge even for small jobs like oil change, filter change and fluid flushes etc. I met Tim with Speed Auto Repair at a BNI event and brought one of my German cars and they got my 55k service done in under an hour and the price I paid was 1/5th of what dealership wanted. Quality of work was great, their staff is friendly and they were very honest about what I really need and not need in the car. I will be bringing all of my 3 cars to these guys going forward for all my car maintainence needs. Thank you Tim!!

I had my car towed here after it broke down on me, with no warning signs whatsoever and we were told the engine seized and they had no idea why. Not exactly what you want to hear. Then we were told the manager could waive the $115 diagnostic fee if he wanted to. After checking with the manager he decided we needed to pay it. I guess if he likes you enough, he won’t charge you!!! Start sucking up now. And to pay for what? Someone to tell me I can’t drive my car anymore and doesn’t know why?!
My mechanic of fifteen years retired last week, so I called a friend who is an auto dealer for the past thirty years for a recommendation. He has worked hand in hand with them on every vehicle he acquires and trusts them implicitly. They greeted me immediately. They took my car back immediately. I knew I needed an oil change - a quick review showed I needed some other minor work. They showed me and offered to either take care of it or make an appointment to come back. Zero pushiness, like I have had with big chain stores. They left it up to me 100% on what to do and when to do it. I am very pleased with Tim and Jim and the entire team. Highly recommend!EDIT 3/22/19 - my car has been wobbling during braking. I called Tim at the shop and said that one sentence to him, and he said he knew what the problem was. I told him that I have odd hours, so he recommended I come when they open around 7, drop my car off, and that since he knew what the problem was he would be able to turn the car back around to me in about 4 hours time. I dropped off the vehicle, ubered to a meeting, then ubered back at 11 and I was out with my car at 11:05 and NO MORE WOBBLING. Turns out it was a brake part problem, and they COULD have waaay upcharged me for brake rotors and pads etc etc etc but they did not. They did the integrity move and only replaced the parts which needed replacing, and I only needed two parts replaced, not all four. Tim is a true man of character and keeps his word. Speed is professional and respectful and the best place in town - I now recommend all my friends and family to go to them! You should too!
I had a Groupon for an oil change. After waiting a little while I was informed that they could not get the plug off. They stated that wherever I previously had the oil changed did not line up the grooves and the only way to get it off would be to break it off and replace it. The cost to do that would be $60. I immediately took it back to the place I previously had the oil changed. They took it off and told me to let SpeeD know that they had no problem, that it screwed right off and that they went ahead and replaced my air filter while they were at it so that SpeeD wouldn’t have to do that when they changed the oil. BEWARE!
Went for a oil change and belt check. I was out so fast was slightly convinced they didnt actually do anything lol. Wish I could get service this good closer to home. While getting the oil check was informed that my air filter was clogged and dirty. They offered to change it for $20 and a 30min wait for part delivery. Unfortunately had to decline. Will definitely come back though might try and make a day out of it, the location is quite far from home and not a place I frequent. Worth it though for this level of service
Fast, reliable, and trustworthy group of guys. They pointed out to me that on a previous oil change at another shop, someone broke my oil filter spring retainer. They didnt have the part, but were able to go get it within 20 minutes and repair for $30. Will definitely be coming back for future maintenace/repairs.
This used to be my go to place for all oil changes. However, on my last visit (11/23/2021) they said I needed my brake fluid flushed. Because they have earned my trust, I said OK. But when we got the vehicle back, the break light was on. They said that the BRAKE light was already on but it wasnt. Both my wife, my son and I all drove the car that day or the day before, and the light was not on. So they broke it and would not fix it, so I have to take it somewhere else. I guess I wont be coming back.
I was dramatically overcharged for installing two shock mounts on two loose shocks I dropped off.Billed for ($158) an hour.... for what I KNOW....was 20 minutes work.
Good folks. Good work. Reasonable. Fast. Even wiped down the nasty inside of my windshield that I cant reach and vacuumed the carpet! The only thing I dont like is them trying to sell me an air filter and a cabin air filter every time I go in.
I Started trusting Speedy to take care of my car needs a few years ago. I have tried other places which were convenient to where I live . And none of the other places has the costumers service they have and I never have to wait long .I can actually come on my lunch break. I would refer Speedy to Everyone I can.

Had car towed there for repairs as it was loosing power and not going over 40mph. Was told that it was the catalytic converter and a valve cover which was $2300. Thats a lot! Diagnostic fee was $122 which is more expensive than any other shop in the area!
Super quick and inexpensive! They had my car pulled in and oils change in progress before I could blink my eye! They werent mean or rude, but they werent super friendly either. A bit standoffish... But the service was great!
Ive been here twice for oil changes and once for an emissions test. Pricing is fair and the location is convenient. Waiting room is not the best and they are not the quickest. Ended up not being able to get my tires rotated because they were just taking too long.
I came in to get an oil change. Which ended up being a n oil change plus the purchase of a new oil filter thing(not a car guy). It had gotten messed up when I had allowed my two friends too change my oil for me. All and all I had a pretty good experience. The staff was helpfully in explaining what was going on. They were also willing to allow me to bring my own oil and filter for the oil change.They only reason I gave them a 4 star rating because of the time it took for them to change my car oil and filter. It took almost 2 hours.
If you care about your car, stay as far away from this place as possible!!!My wife took our car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Within 10 minutes of leaving the shop, our check oil light came on and my wife figured it was an error with the car because she had just left from the oil change. She proceeds to pick me up from work and continued on home. There was no noticeable oil leaking from the car over the next few days, but the light remained to stay on so I decided to check dipstick. To my disbelief the dipstick was bone dry, because they forgot to put oil back into the car. I immediately took my car back to SpeeD and described to them what they had done. After a good bit of fidgeting around with the car they came back to me saying that there was a leak in the filter and all the oil leaked into the frame of the car. NO!!! Thats not how that works, oil doesnt just disappear into the frame of the car and not leak out onto the ground. Keep in mind, the car sat primarily in our driveway for two days, if somehow that was truly the case my driveway would be absolutely covered in oil. At this point I was in shock that they didnt even have the integrity to tell me the truth and all they were willing to give in return was a free oil change on our next visit. Another few miles and my engine would have locked up and my car would have been absolutely done for, and they couldnt care less.Once the next oil change came around, I sent my wife to get the free oil change and then be done with SpeeD and leave my comments to myself. Until, they wouldnt even honor their own voucher for a free oil change. This shop has zero respect for their customers, and will take every advantage of you as they can, especially if they feel you do not know a lot about cars. They were disrespectful to my wife on many occasions and this past experience was the final straw.Just stay away! If you cant pass up on the good deal, make sure you keep an eye on your car because they cannot be trusted.
I purchased my oil change via Groupon. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and services were provided immediately. There is like a 2.75 fee that you have to pay asside from what you pay on Groupon , buuuuut if you leave a Google or Yelp review you get five dollars off. There is free coffee available, two vending machines and the young lady at the front desk seems nice. They moved quickly and efficiently. My first visit was pretty good and I will use them again. They also vacuum the car , which was awesome !
I always come here for a oil change and they are always quick and professional. I came today to see what was wrong with my car because the engine light kept appearing and they found the problem and fixed it within 2 hours. Great place and service.
Came here with my wife previously for a brake job, and more recently for an oil change/rotation. A very to-the-point crew that gets the job done quickly, and for very agreeable prices. Definitely a recommend from me!

Been going here for 7+ years now. I dont even live in the area anymore. These guys always take care of me and my car no matter what condition its in. I had transmission issues in one of my older cars, and the dealership was trying to get me to buy a new transmission. I took the car here instead, and they figured out that there was a chip missing from my catalytic converter. It cost me $80 and was taken care of within the hour. The car never had any problems after that. These guys saved me at least a thousand dollars, and over the years theyve saved me more than that. If you want an honest repair shop that will do whatever they can to help you, go here.

You tell them what you want, they get it done. The only time any other service has been mentioned to me is when I genuinely NEEDED it.No dishonesty. No pushy upselling. Unlike some other auto shops, they tell you what you asked. They dont recommend unnecessary repairs.They are pretty quick, too. All my jobs here are not majo repair, just regular maintenance.

They told me my car would take a few hours and they could take me home so i went home hours went by nothing so i called them and they told me they can fix my car and it will be ready when they first open up i got there at 7:58 i didnt leave there until 12 i was sooo mad because they told me it would be ready when it really wasnt . Then couple days i told my dad to go get his car fixed he made a appointment at 8:00 and he was waiting they told him they would look at his car my dad came home at 11 said they never looked at his car i would never go back that was soo bad they lack of communication was bad to .

I originally found these guys on Groupon for a great deal! I have stayed for 2 years since. What a find! Its hard to find a place you trust. Tim is a sweet pea. He works the front desk, pulls the cars around and anything else the guys need for extra help. I like them because they work as a TEAM. Constantly, i look out the window and its 100% communication and teamwork-- which prevents accidents & uh ohs! The staff is always so friendly. They put sheets down on my seat and floor to keep things tidy. In the end, the leave coupons, a key chain and mints in your cup holder (when I dont have a bunch of crap in it [= ) I have never had a personal touch like that when going to shops... The place is clean enough for me. The bathroom is spotless (which, as a woman, is a must-- especially when its a shop full of men haha). They have complimentary coffee (Keurig) & a vending machine for when you need a snack. Its $25 for oil change and tire rotation for synthetic blend- not sure how long that offer lasts!! Cant beat that with a stick!! They dont push all those small things on you that other places do! Best part, through all my visits, Ive had to wait 30 minutes tops!! So I popped in for an oil change, in and out in less than 30 mins. Noticed that tire air and fluid checks were listed as part of the bill. Also noticed my tire pressure was the same as when I came in, with one tire still 4 pounds lower than the others.So, it appears, while certain services are listed, they may not actually be performed.

Great shop... I tried to take my car to Pep Boys and they wanted to charge me over $950.00 to put in a new oil pan and gasket im my car 507.00 just for Labor & over 400.00 for the oil pan no gasket....Spee D... 500.00 new oil pan, new gasket and labor and quality service no hassle at all!

2022-05-24I really appreciate Speed Auto Repair. They gave me a loaner vehicle to ensure I can get to and from work. I do believe they could be more informative, but I also understand my car wasn’t very kind to the mechanics in which they didn’t have much to tell until they found the right parts. Everyone is very friendly, and you can tell they work very hard. I also appreciate having a financing option to help pay for my services since life happen moments hit me all at once. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a place that is good and understanding to check this place out.

2022-06-26Very good shop. Took my BMW in for an oil change, and service was good. I did notice a small oil leak coming from the oil plug a couple days later and notified the shop about it. They said its probably the old oil plug wearing out so they paid for the car to be towed back to the shop and they purchased a new oil plug for my car, they re-did the oil change, and installed the new oil plug all free of charge. My car now has no more oil leak and garage floor underneath is bone dry. Very good shop, 10/10 would recommend.

2022-05-07I am new to the area and my ac was not working. Anyone living here knows how important the ac is in a car; especially during the summer.Ed and Thomas were kind and helpful. They took time to answer my questions and explain the issues found.Another place had mentioned a need for repairs unrelated to the AC and speed auto determined that those were unnecessary. I appreciate that honesty.The loaner vehicle truly helped me out.I will be using speed auto for my future maintenance and repairs.

I had resigned myself to the fact that Id get a typed response, explaining their actions away, while simultaneously telling me how I had misinterpreted the entire thing. While I wont say how they have offered to help, I will say this:Im quite honestly speechless, and would like Speed Auto Repair to know how thankful and appreciative I am. Saying Im impressed with the actions taken in resolving this issue doesnt even cut it. Thank you for taking an unfortunate situation (for both customer & shop), and flipping it around. I really do not believe that any other company would have gone out of their way, let alone above and beyond, like yall have.Thank you. Thank you. However, I believe its important to show the situation in its entirety, and how my perception of the company has been turned round.Bravo, guys.________I see that any negative review has been explained away by the shop. Yall seem to be infallible. Other shops should take notice of your practices. Its unfortunate how blatantly deceitful and dishonest they were. I have a pit in my stomach. Its sad that there are still businesses out there that lie to people solely to take their money.I explained to the shop I was currently out of a job, and asked if I could order the parts myself, and have them do the installation. Was told I could, and was given a very manageable price. After dropping off parts (ordered from a well known & reliable website, a co. expert in my cars make), I received a call saying I brought the wrong parts, and Id have to make the purchase through them, adding hundreds more to my total. They told me I needed all 6 parts replaced, even though only one was bad. I requested they simply replace the faulty one, because I was absolutely unable to pay that amount.The day they said theyd finished the job, I asked if i could see the old part, so I could compare it to what Id initially purchased; was told that they had thrown it out earlier that day & the trash had already been picked up.Weeks have passed, and Ive just discovered that the wrong part I brought in is the exact part I needed; they said the one I got was too long. They are identical - Ive compared the one they installed into my car to the ones I brought in.The amount they charged me for ONE of those parts was just over what I had paid for SIX through the online retailer. Nothing I can do now, other than feel sick about it.I even brought you guys donuts. :(
