Absolutely the best koi store in Georgia. We have been to so many stores ,but this is a personal best. Mr.Steve and Chuck are the friendliest people ,and coming here was a great experience. They have a excellent variety of fish, and they have a great knowledge on the hobby. If your starting or an expert I highly recommend coming here for all your koi and pond needs.
Their selection of Koi is always fantastic. Prices are reasonable and the staff is very helpful. Beyond that, the back pond was worth the hour and a half trip to see on its own.
I hired this company to do a pond cleaning back in the winter. They want you to put up a credit card, sign an agreement which I did. I have a total of maybe 600 gallons of pond and the bill was just under $1000. Linda was very vague on her pricing. The guy who did the cleaning had 2 kids to help him who were quite young. Sure, they cleaned the pond, but for just under $1000 ??? I felt I was hugely overcharged by this company. I received an e-mail asking was my pond clean I told them I would never do business with them again. I have had pond cleanings before but never have I been ripped off like these guys did. Stay away. I know I will.
Super duper helpful staff! Linda welcomed me and my daughter and explained just what we needed to do to start a koi pond. She was so helpful, the fish were beautiful and diverse and they have all the supplies too. Great spot but be warned, It is tucked away in a residential area so when you think youre lost, just keep going.
I first spoke with Steve who gave me a price of $220/hour to clean my pond. Steve was very knowledgeable about his services and answered all of my questions. I specifically asked whether there would be any extra charges for chemicals they will be using, and he said no. He estimated the time for the clean up on a 1000 gallon pond will be 1.5-2 hours. I asked about a flat rate and he said they do not offer a flat rate but may offer a flat rate for future services when they have already seen and done work on the pond. Fair enough. When I called back to book a time, Linda answered the phone. She informed me that there will be two additional charges: one for travel and the other for chemicals they will be using. I told her that Steve did not mention these charges, and she said well thats standard and youre going to be charged for them. I asked to speak to the owner, to which she replied that they dont have any availability for this week anyway. I am not upset by lack of availability, but I am upset by the rude manner in which Linda handled the call and the differences in pricing. I was looking forward to doing business with this company, but Linda may be better equipped to doing something else other than answering the phones. Because of her, they have lost a customer.
They created a fantastic pond for us. I learned about them from a man who had a pond that they improved (by redoing someone else’s job). To finish off his new pond they put in a wonderful waterfall that was the focal point of his backyard. They totally exceeded his expectations and he was happy to share how great his staff is too.After we saw his yard we wanted no other company for our pond. They put in all the features we wanted, took great care to protect our fish and did it all, in a quick, professional manner ( all the staff are very helpful). All we had to do was sit back and wait for the finished product. They cleaned everything up and then showed us how to maintain it and which products work best. I also got some butterfly koi from him that are a joy to watch. They carry everything you need and accessories you might want for your pond. Truely a one stop shop with superior products, workers and fish. We feel very fortunate that they are close by and do such amazing work! Our neighbors have all commented how they really love our new pond.
Splendor Koi employees and Chuck, the owner, have been a great pleasure to work with going on ten years, now. My husband and I were just talking today about how great it was to deal with an honest company that you can trust, and know that they stand behind all their work. Having people like them to help guide you and explain things takes a lot of the fear out of the decision to enjoy pond-keeping as a hobby. There is nothing like the beauty and sound of a pond and waterfall to bring peace and beauty to a landscape!
I believe I was defrauded by Splendor Koi and Pond. I was billed $170 for a consultation even after I was told that I would not be billed untilI had read and reviewed an agreement. The person who showed up for my appointment was drunk and fell into my pond -an incident captured on my security cameras. He took five minutes in all for his consult and told me that either the pond had a leak or it was overflowing. I needed to hire his firm for $250 to find out. I have an audio recording of a phone call with him that I am posting that will give a good indication of this business.
I had them come and clean my pond and it looks brand new! They are not the cheapest option, but it was well worth the cost. Also, I took my son to their shop and he absolutely loved it. They let him feed the fish.
In March 2015 I hired Splendor Koi to drain and clean my 16 year old pond and stream. Despite the cold they did an excellent job including pressure washing, scrubbing and lots of hand work to make sure the pond was better than new. I will not wait nearly as long for my next cleaning and I will certainly rehire Splendor Koi to do it.
Weve bought a lot of stuff there but what really keeps me coming back is the amount of time they spend with each customer and the amount of information they share. There arent pond places on every corner and it means a lot when they use time they could be making more sales to help a customer learn more about all thing pond related. I tip my cap to these folks. Wish I could give six stars.
The fish here are breath taking and to high level of care was impressive. They take time to show you around and answer all your qestions. They dont try to get rid of you if you are just sightseeing. The staff Amy and Linda went over and beyond there associate job description. I bought the smallest fish on the property that took 3 hours/ 3 people to catch it. My large koi pond was approaching ten years old and it needed an overhaul. I also have a second smaller koi pond that is even older. I have about a dozen fish in the large pond, but none in the smaller pond due to a leak. It was past time to get these ponds fully operational and looking beautiful again.I checked a few koi pond companies but was most impressed by Splendors professionalism. They sent out someone who was very knowledgeable of koi pond design and maintenance. We discussed my options and went over a few estimates. Splendor left with a good idea of what I was looking for. A few days later I received a very detailed proposal with the options discussed and a full cost breakdown that included labor. It was explained that the labor estimates could go lower or higher.I gave Splendor the go ahead and after providing a partial down payment, scheduled a day for the work to be done.Three men came out and worked very efficiently. I checked on them throughout the day and all three were hard at it. Things progressed quickly and with care. Both my fish and property were handled professionally. I was very thankful for that for a couple years ago I had a koi pond company clean my large pond and several of my large koi did not do as well.This being a large job, a second day was needed to complete the tasks. There were lights and a transformer to install. Again, the two men that came out this day worked very quickly and in a couple hours they were through. This included cleaning up. Actually blowing off my deck and flagstones surrounding the pond. First class job all around.There were a few minor issues over the next few days that I asked to be addressed. When I called Splendor, I always fealt that my business was very important to them. They listened to my requests and within days the issues were resolved.yesterday I received my final statement and was pleased to see that the work was done in fewer hours than estimated. The exact times to the minute were itemized on this invoice and they matched what I had recorded. I did see one billing detail that I questioned. I called the store and they made the adjustment.I have set up a maintenance schedule with Splendor, having complete confidence in their abilities, their professionalism, and their concern that I am satisfied.
Chuck and his hard working crew did an outstanding job of designing and building my fish pond in March 2015. Recently my termite control guy who had seen my homemade pond over 15 years which basically was a mudhole, commented on how natural the new pond looked and said the pond and waterfall looked like it had been there for years.My wife Gail and I love to sit around the pond at night and the neighbors tell me a bullfrog in the pond serenades them at night which they enjoy. Chuck and his crew are real professionals and I highly recommend them!
Chuck knows his fish. His seminars are always useful and right on what needs to be done at that time. He has a great selection of supplies. His staff is knowledgeable and they do a great job cleaning my pond.
First met the owners wife, Mrs. Crisp, who was helpful and informative. Then met with Chuck Crisp who provided consultation and recommendation for a new backyard disappearing waterfall feature I am working on. Chucks service has been excellent and I look forward to continuing to work with Splendor Koi & Pond in the future.
My wife and I went to Splendor Koi to pick out some new koi for our pond. We looked at their plants on the way in and were quite impressed with everything. Once we entered the house we both noted the smell immediately. They do seem to have a good stock of about anything you could need, pumps, bacteria, etc. We looked at the show tank inside and were horrified to see a large koi floating, dead, in the tank. When we went out back, Ill admit we were excited at the selection of almost any koi you could ever want, until we looked more. We counted a total of 5 fish that were either dead or quite sickly. From the look of the fish and the facilities it looks like this was once a great place the buy koi but it appears that someone either ran out of money to keep it up or stopped caring, truly a shame and we will not be returning.

I just purchased a home in Ellijay with a Koi pond and had no idea of how to take care of a Koi pond. So I gather my grandchildren and set out to find a Koi business. Yelp pulls up Splendor Koi & Pond. We set out on an adventure to learn about Koi. Not realizing how late it was we arrived at Splendor Koi & Pond 5 minutes before closing.We walked in and I said I know you close in 5 minutes but I just drove from Ellijay and could you take a moment to answer a few questions about how to take care of a Koi pond I just inherited? Chuch the owner looked up, smiles with laughter in his voice saying;It would take more then 5 minutes, how about you let your grandchildren feed the Koi and you and I talk Koi. About 1 1/2 hours later my grandchildren walked out with their own yellow rubber duckys and I with hand written directions on everything I needed to open my Koi pond. Along with 100% reassurance that if I needed anything just to call and he (Chuck) would send a crew out to help. Plus he gave me a military discount. Thanks Chuch and his kind office manager who gave my grandchildren a tour of their business.
Chuck is always responsive when we have a need, and he knows about ponds and water features better than anyone weve had before. He strives to get the work done quickly and resolves the issue. The team he sends for repairs and maintenance also seem qualified.

Great selection and prices. Customer service is outstanding. The walk through their big ponds alone is worth the trip. Many different koi of all types and sizes, very affordably priced. Many types you dont see very often in other places. A little far drive for me but well worth it for anyone who has a koi pond.
Chuck and his crew have performed Spring cleanup on our Koi pond the last few years and have done an amazing job! Very professional, reasonably priced and pleasant to work with.

The Koi here are amazing. The large pond feature outside has 50+ large Koi all over 2ft in length and very healthy.

2022-03-31The owners are so friendly and great with kids! We were able to learn so much about fish and pond care while our kiddos touched the fish and had a good time. This is a hidden gem for sure! The prices were fair and overall there was a very good vibe here.

2019-06-16I got interested in water plants when the weather got too hot to garden normally. A lady at Pikes mentioned this place. My first visit was magical and my son fell in love with the huge gorgeous koi! We have visited several more times and the people are so friendly. They let kids feed the fish and they answer questions. There is so much to look at and enjoy at this beautiful place. They have all the pond supplies as well.

Unfortunately the pond looked like it had never had any maintenance.So being a great mom I searched online for help. Came across Splendor Koi’s website which was very impressive and informative.Placed a call they came out within a week. Very impressed by the employees. 2021-06-12I strongly recommend that you do not use this company for cleaning services.The long and short of it is that Splendor Koi & Pond told me multiple times that I did not need to be at home when they came out to do a cleaning. I wasn’t, because my wife was in labor at the time. They called me at the hospital and then charged me for the time it took someone to get to the house. When I called to ask about the charge, I was then verbally abused by ownership, as if it was my fault.This came after weeks of poor customer service and a complete inability to simply tell me when I would be on the schedule.

2021-02-25Went last Saturday to check out some Koi and get tips on how to build a pond. The young man, I think his name is Michael, was super nice and gave me some really good info and pointers on building a pond. The fish are beautiful and the goose was super sweet. My son was able to feed the fish. The prices are actually not bad. Im excited to do business with them.

2021-01-15Not just your regular pet and fish store!!. I was so very pleased today when I stopped in with some needs for my pond fish. I was greeted in a friendly way and asked what I needed. I was in need of water testing as I felt I was having an issue with my fish. Chuck went immedaty from sales to a concerned friend. He asked me everythng about my small pond and its set up. He directed me to the best testing kit I have ever owned and gave me advice I needed. I am no beginner and have had fish all my life. I learned so much from this awesome man today that I just had to come on line and brag. He even asked me to call and let hm know the results , I did and he had even more input that was helpful. My fish are already doing better. THANK YOU SIR!

2020-11-23Chuck and his team are top notch. Im pretty sure Chuck invented ponds because he knows everything about them and is very helpful in explaining what needs to be done. Chuck methodically approached our issue to ensure the correct issue was identified and fixed. The crew was extremely polite and very hard working. Not that I look forward to having any issues down the road but if I do I know who Im going to call first.

2019-03-26I love the store and actually Owner is a good guy. I’ve got to know him over the years.However I sent my wife to get a 3 inch rhino bottom drain and The clerk then sent my wife with a retro bottom drain, completely wrong product. The staff is super friendly and we love everybody, but the prices? I should’ve ordered it online for 80 bucks, at splendor Koi they charged twice that! Over priced, But they do have great fish ...
