Decent rooms and good breakfast. However, no constant fan available, meaning you have to sleep in silence. No bathroom fan either.Booked this place because it had a pool and spa. However, both were CLOSED. Because of covid. Weve been out of the pandemic for how long now? Also pools are not known to be places to spread the virus, since clorine kills it. They should have put a notice on their website that pools closed. Really ruined the stay.
The hotel is in a great location. The room was a good size, with very comfy beds. The carpet was a bit stained and worn out, seemed like it might be time to replace it. The location of the TV was also a bit awkward. Other than that the stay here was pretty good. Breakfast was also decent. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
This hotel was excellent with one issue - the lighting in the sink/bath area. This needs to be brighter. I had a hard time putting my make up on and putting in my contacts. Other then that, I was extremely please. Service was wonderful and the employees go out of their way to assist. Will stay there next time I am in Savannah
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room size is excellent. There were some stains on the couch. The bathroom is very dated, but very large, and most importantly clean. The separate vanity area is very convenient. The breakfast wasnt very good, but it was free. The lobby is modern and inviting. The pool was out.
Need some me-time after hosting a busy family reunion 3 day fun-filled week-end. So looking forward to getting in the pool but upon arrival a severe tropical storm turned into a hurricane was projected to hit the area. The rain would not let me be great....in relaxing. I did enjoy my room and the kind hospitality from the front desk and kitchen staff. Perfect area to do some retail therapy. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds very comfy and having a mini-fridge and wet bar area was a perk. My 2nd stay here and enjoyed my 1 night due to the storm causing an early check-out.
We have been here almost every year for 15 years. My spouse is a Marriott gold member. We got to the room there was no towels. We were told we should have asked at the front deskNo apology for inconvenience just a lot of attitude. We need to rethink where we stay for future travel.plans.
I would choose elsewhere next time. The hotel room was dirty (fingernails on the floor, smudges all over the lights/light switches). Pool was closed (was told that it was disclosed in the fine print on the website). Front desk staff wasnt friendly. With so many other options nearby, Id skip this hotel in the future.
We stayed here for 7 days and on the 4th day we asked for the room to be cleaned The receptionist told us the room can not be cleaned until Monday No full staff. So my wife asked if they could at least change the sheet do to the fact that She broke out in hives the night before. The receptionist said yes, 8 hours nothing was done. The breakfast is not all that either.
Positive: The staff did advise me of their Covid-19 protocol. The only clean the room once you check out. It was to late to cancel and all the other hotels were booked. Negative: This is not a 3 star hotel. The furniture in the room was worn and ripped. Carpet had large stains. I have several pictures to show cracks in the shower and old wallpaper pealing. To pay $---- for three nights. I expected a better hotel.
My flight got cancelled and had to find a last minute hotel. I booked this hotel due to the fact it has a free shuttle to and from the airport. When I got to the hotel, staff were very friendly and answered all my questions with a positive attitude. The room was clean. There was free breakfast, however, there wasn’t much I liked so I walked over to the Waffle House. There were several places in walking distance to eat at that so that was good. Overall, I had a great experience.
Everything that looks great isnt great. Check-in was great from the staff to the nice entrance/lobby. Got to the room it had a wet mold scent, the mattress were worn out (room 203), the wallpaper was peeling off the wall at various areas of the room including the bath. As we were waiting for another friend to arrive, the ceiling started to fall. (YES THE CEILING) Staff were great about changing the room. Got to the room (room 205) directly next door, it seem as if it had been remodeled, there wasnt a smell of wetness and/or mold. It had to be present though as it was only next door. Again the staff were great but the owner(s) needs to put some money into this property if the price will continue to be the same.
The accommodations were adequate. Not as clean as I would have wanted and a little more run-down than I expected for a Marriott property. Ours was a one night stay while traveling south on I-95 and we were only there to sleep and shower. We left before breakfast, but the breakfast area appeared well well supplied and welcoming. The property is well located with numerous dining and shopping options nearby.
This hotel is located conveniently next to the Savannah Airport. We arrived to the hotel around 10pm on a Saturday evening without having had supper. The shuttle driver offered to take us to a nearby restaurant which was appreciated. The Sunday morning shuttle driver was extremely personable and friendly as well. He gave us some tips for things to see in Savannah and Hilton Head. The room and hotel was decent. The pool was closed, but with everyone coming back from COVID and nationwide staff shortages we understood. Overall, a great stay.
Good morning, my experience here was by far the worst I’ve ever had at any hotel. I reserved 4 rooms and 3 of them had issues ranging from typical maintenance issues to staffing and employee conduct. The hotel photos on the website do not match the actual room layout at all and the rooms are poorly kept.Room #1. AC did not work not expected but not irregular. Was told they couldn’t do anything about the boom because maintenance was off of work there were no more rooms. Lies. Gave us $10 off.Room #2. Smelled of smoke and mold. In Savannah so it wasn’t unusual but wasn’t what we expected. Next door to room #3 where I was staying (but not checked in yet) but when room #2 checked in they heard loud noises and a door not disturb sign was on the door.Room #3. I checked in at 1230am with 2 kids and my wife. When we got to the room 235 the door ajar and the we were able to walk right in with our luggage. My youngest daughter went straight in the room without a key! The couch cushions were thrown on the couch and smushed. We made our way further in the room and AGAIN my youngest daughter who had been in the car for 2 hours finds something else. There was fresh poop stacked in the toilet. Someone had just been in our room. We immediately went down stairs and requested a room change. The lady gave us $10 off and a room change but the room she gave us was not worth the trauma my kids seen floating in the toilet.I really wish my dad in room #4 gave a care about anything but he’s an old man and just wanted to sleep so I guess he enjoyed the bed.I said all this to say, I am very disappointed in this hotel and will not stay at this location ever again.
My room was clean. The lock on the bathroom door was broken and the stopper from the bathtub was hidden under the curtain, but the room was a great size with a separate seating area. Breakfast was great. This location was conveniently located to all the places I wanted to go.
This was not at all what I expect when I stay at a Marriott property. My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this property. After the 2nd night, we finally asked to be moved to another room. Looking back, I should have demanded another room shortly after we checked in (my fault).1. The air conditioner in the room DID NOT work properly. Even the manager said it was stifling in the room.2. The TV did not work properly, and very often the picture and sound would stop and No Signal would flash across the screen. I reported this SEVERAL times, but it was never resolved. Interestingly, after we moved into another room, we never had this problem with the TV in the new room.3. The door stop in the bathroom (thats the thing that protects the wall from the door knob) had fallen out of the wall and was laying on the floor.4. The bathroom sink was clogged and the water would not drain.5. The wallpaper seam in the dining area separated and was peeling off the wall.6. The business center computer in the lobby required a password, which makes it unusable for guests. When I told the front desk clerk that I needed to print out our airline boarding passes, he said I should email it to him and he will print it on his computer.
We have stayed d at this Spring Hill Suites in the past and looked forward to returning. Unfortuntely, we were disappointed that the motel is looking worn and dated. Towels were thin and old looking. Called the front desk for better towels. My biggest mistake was not going to the front desk to get a bill and check out. I called to say we were leaving and that a bill would be emailed. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed that I was charged $14.95 four times. I contacted the hotel 3 times and was unable to resolve the issue.
Room was dirty. Carpet was dirty. Lots of stains on the only furniture to sit on which let me wondering if the bed was even clean. There was no hand soap in the bathroom. There was what appeared to be blood stains on the carpet in front of the sink. When I checked out the young man at the front desk didn’t even look up from his personal phone or even acknowledge me. Will never stay here again or recommend this property. Huge disappointment for the Marriott brand.
Clean. Super friendly. Felt like a friend coming to stay and not a customer.Room was spacious and clean. Shuttle was super convenient. Walking distance to restaurants. Breakfast was nice and food was fresh, hot and yummy.Hate covid has restricted pool and ice machine.
Arrived about 8 pm, lobby door was locked! Used the buzzer to no response. Another patron came in the lobby by chance and let my husband and I, as well as another guest, into the lobby. After waiting 20 minutes, my husband and I started looking around for the desk attendant with no luck. I then headed to the Marriott next door to see if they could be of assistance. The desk clerk there looked at the cameras and said she was just heading that way. I went back to our hotel, avoiding a couple goofing around in the parking lot, only to find out the girl goofing around in the parking lot next door is our desk attendant! It gets even better...we finally get our requested 1st floor room, I start loading the fridge when my husband notices that there are two water marks on the ceiling near the bed, both are active with water on the carpet. My husband heads back to the desk while I unload the fridge and notice the handle is filthy!Next room down the hall...no apparent water leaks! Open the fridge and low and behold, someones left overs are still there!! So I take it, they dont bother cleaning the fridges here anymore!!Weve stayed here quite a bit over the last few months with company business in the area and this is the first time weve encountered such neglect!
Was horrible our 1st room was soaked with water under the AC unit, after moved to a 2nd room the smell was horrible and the water was even WORSE! You could hear the water under your shoes as you walked around. Our 3rd room bathroom didnt work fully,, parts of the bathroom came off, sinks, didnt work. But there is not water I slept on the couch due to lack of beds. But at least your front desk staff was very nice.
After a poor experience with another chain across the street, I decided to try this SpringHill Suites location. Im very happy I did so.The location is easy to get to and there are gas stations readily available. There are a number of restaurants in the area - though be careful if you head to the west side of I-95. That side of the interstate is exceptionally crowded - traffic is a nightmare. At checkin, the clerks were nice and efficient.SpringHill Suites has only one small elevator for the guests. A long line forms when the lobby is busy - which can be any time of night it seems. Our room was nice. The king sized bed is much closer to a queen, but larger than the chains queen. Our room had a sitting area, separate sleeping area, a closet, and a split bathroom. No need to wait on your spouse in the shower just to brush your teeth. The bathroom shower enclosure is coming apart (see the video). Also, the shower water regulator is finicky.Even though we requested extra towels during the reservation process, none were provided (very few hotels seem to honor these requests.) However, the hotel only provided a single bath towel. Fortunately, the staff was friendly when I went to the front desk for another. If you watch television, make sure to check your TV when you first get to the room. Ours was scrambled - so we could not watch the local news, etc. There is an option to connect to your Netflix account, which we did to watch a movie.Breakfast was marginal. There was only two cereal options: Cheerios and Fruit Loops. The eggs were runny, but with enough salt and pepper were ok. The sausage links were decent. While the breakfast dining area was comfortable, the kitchen/serving area was very small and tight. If there is a crowd, it is simply too small to service guests.Overall, a positive experience.
Great place! Had a very short trip but they were able to accommodate all our needs! The only 2 reasons they didnt get the last star to make it 5 stars was because the room had a couch that was very stained (super gross & creepy) & because we requested an extra towel & pillow ahead of time & it wasnt there. Not usually a big deal (the towel & pillow part) except for the fact that we landed in Savannah at 1am & were counting on visiting the front desk to check in only at this point. Couldve been worse.
When arriving to the hotel the check in was smooth and quick. Now when I got to my room my room smelled like dogs. So I called down to the desk and told them the lady said she can moved me to another room. So I get to my second room and the room smelled a little bit like a dog but it was durable. The lady at the desk told me that this hotel dont allow pets but I saw a lady getting on the elevator with her dog. I told the lady at the counter what I saw. I will say this about this hotel its need some renovation because I have stayed at many Springhill suites and majority of them a vinyl floor and no carpet. This hotel still have carpet and that why the rooms have a funny odor. Secondly the sofa need cleaning cause it had a funny smell as well. Lastly they need to change the mattress cause they were uncomfortable. Overall, I wouldnt be staying at this particular Springhill if I come back to Savannah to visit.
There wasn’t a room ready for my early arrival that I had called about two days earlier. There was moldings falling off the walls. I asked for extra towels and my room to be cleaned the second day but was told they don’t do those things.I was less than impressed with this hotel. Previous Springhill Suites I stayed at were far better.
Staff was friendly, water pressure in my shower (room 108) was great. No AC in hallways and gym. Gym has 2 ellipticals and 2 treadmills and weights. Pool was closed (July visit). Hotel needs a lot of regular maintenance. Breakfast was very disappointing - only grabbed a spoon to eat the fruit and yogurt I purchased from Publix. I was very disappointed.
I will not choose this Marriott for my next stay. The couch had had stains all over and the bedding that was in the room for the pull out couch had red stains as well. Requested new bedding for it and the sheets were clean but the blanket was scratchy and stiff as a board. Also didn’t notice until the next morning that the sheets on the regular beds had some dark spots on it. Would not stay here again. Highly disappointed for a Marriott.
Positive: The hotels location is great. Its about 5-7 minutes from the outlets and Walmart. About 20 minutes from the downtown area where the river boat cruises are. Breakfast was standard and the entire staff was awesome. Disappointed the pool was closed. Negative: Yes, the pool was closed. I didnt see mention of that before booking.
Very nice suite and was really happy with my stay. My company paid for it because yikes : $110/night but atmosphere is very calming. The breakfast was also very refreshing. Muffins are really sugary so might want to cut down on that but it was a pleasant stay nonetheless.
Reserved room had not been cleaned! Dirty towels on floor in bathroom and trash can was full!! Moved to a different room with dirty mirror and tv screen. One hand towel for two people! Staff was unapologetic and defensive about the situation. My husband and I are so disappointed! We have been Marriott reward members since 1997 and have Gold Elite status. This hotel was not up to Marriott standards!!!
Check in process was quick and easy.. attendant really nice..The 1king/sofa suite was sufficiently spaced for 2 adults, 1 teen, & 6 yro traveling needing 1 night stayAppearance: clean, but looks a little aged..carpet stained, rust around toilet, paint peeling, etc.Location: very convenient- located on the other side(non busy side) of I95 from Tanger outlets right by the on/off ramp, sufficient parking, quiet, etc.Only real downside was the indoor pool being closed..it was one of the reasons for booking this location
The hotel was nice. But the staff wasnt very knowledgeable on things. I needed a sheet set for the fold away bed, the girl gave me a blanket.. the other girl told her that it wasnt it, went back and brought back 1 sheet, took the blanket back. Then I said I needed the BED SHEET SET.. went and got the blanket but no pillow.. I dont get snippy, and I try to not sound Karen... but I needed the sheet set for the fold away bed for my kid.. so I asked again best I could, can I please have the complete sheet set for the extra bed in our room.. pillow too.
Good things first: Every employee I encountered was smiling, friendly and made me feel welcome from the front desk to the breakfast bar lady. The room was large and roomy with a sitting area and a separated bedroom area. The beds were comfy and had nice pillows.Bad things: The carpet in the halls is stained and dirty. The carpet in the room is stained and dirty. The room had a stale, mildew smell which I think came from the old air conditioner which had a nasty filter that was half hanging out of the air conditioner. The sofa in the sitting area was worn and dirty. Three corners in the bathroom area had dust and hair. The sheets had a hole/tear in them that got bigger overnight. The blanket from the closet was old, stiff, and worn out.I feel that the least I should be able to expect from any hotel is a clean good smelling room.
Not worth the price, not well kept, no towels, carpet dirty and torn, drapes falling off rod. Addressed staff and they were unprofessional in the response, after all of this someone scheduled us to receive a 5am automated reminder of breakfast. Filed complaint with upper management. If youre desperate I understand if you stay here, however, avoid this location if possible. Horrible night shift staff. 😪
My husband and I had a 1 night stay at Springhill Suites by Marriott in Savannah, Ga on Tuesday May 11, 2021. I booked 3 rooms for ourself and my guests. We had a very uncomfortable stay.In our room I found dirty stains on the sofa, pillows, and the swivel chair by the desk. We couldn’t sit down and use this furniture. The refrigerator had food stains left inside. I was not able to keep our food in there. There was also a water stain on the ceiling right above the TV where water at some point was leaking. And my request for extra pillows and towels was never fulfilled. My brother and sister-in-law stayed in one of the other rooms and also experienced a very dirty and similar situation. In the bathroom they found shower tiles peeling off and mold all around. And on the night stand there was white residue running down the side from what appeared to be something that had spilled. I chose this hotel because I trust the name Marriott and have never had any issues in the past. My family and I were looking forward to a clean environment especially since we had an infant and toddler with us. I expected some inconvenience especially since we are still facing a pandemic, however I would never have imagined being placed in this situation.
Selected this hotel due to advertising of pool and whirlpool, both were closed due to Covid. No email and site did not state this. Waffles were the worst we have ever had. Too dry, lacked taste and lousy. Shower curtain too short to keep water sealed in shower. Bath tub water nozzle was loose and broken. Sofa bed itself was dirty and stained. Internet was one of the worst, needed a pin, name and room number and not user friendly on certain devices had to call to figure it out, then Internet was lousy, even at higher, enhanced band width so don’t pay extra fee. Asked for extra shampoo from front desk and received shower gel. Probably could not hear me from behind the plexiglass. Parking and doors worked well.
Room decor and bathroom outdated, stained carpet and couch. During check in was given key card for my room but unfortunately I walked into an occupied room was so embarrassed. Went back to front desk to explain what happened. Was given another key card but was disappointed with room as well as COVID 19 policy of having to put out my own trash and towels each morning as well as no room cleaning until check out. Will never stay at this Straybridge hotel ever again.
I thought customer service was gone for good. This location had attentive and knowledgeable staff. It was spotless Im a stickler for cleanliness. Everything was clean and pristine as it should be. I got more than I bargained for. The property is spotless inside and out. I dont know how new this hotel is but it is well kept. It was just a little farther away from downtown/River Street in Savannah but a quick 15-20 minute ride fixed that.
Stayed 3 nights. Room was never cleaned. Trash overflowing, no towels without having to special requesting them. The last night we were out of toilet paper, as the room was never attended to. I contacted the front and they said they would bring the toilet paper to the room which never happened. Upon check out the front desk staff was very sarcastic and rude. I will never stay at this hotel again!
The air conditioner in the room doesnt operate properly. The hotel is not properly maintained. This property is not on par with other Marriott hotels. Even with COVID restrictions a guest staying multiple nights should not have to clean thier own room or change the bedding. The outdoor patio was not cleaned or maintained.
First of all when we checked in at the wee hours of the morning thr hotel guest was very nice and welcoming. When we got in our rooms we immediately crashed after being on the road. When we woke up we saw hair all on the bathroom floor and nasty stains on the wall and door. Big dirt spots on couch. So, I spoke to someone new at front desk and she of course changed our room. Well I go check it out and there was this huge big bug awaiting my arrival, I immediately left and told lady at front and at this point Im really frustrated so she spoke to who she said was housekeeping supervisor and said they would clean a room for me and my sleepy son. So we had to wait in lobby for a little over 20 minutes. Youd think shed offer us something from the marketplace for our inconvenience but no she didnt. I am really mad at this point because I am still half asleep and now we are in the lobby waiting. We finally get a room and the closet door was broken, at this point Im counting the days until we can check out. I woke up the next morning to what sounded like a housekeeping party at 8:30 a.m. They were very loud, laughing, and cursing like they were in a club. We checked out and spoke to General manager and explained to him our experience and he was very nice and gave us points for a free stay. He said theyd be renovating soon and I hope they train their housekeeping staff to be a little more professional and also thoroughly clean the rooms before guests check in. No one wants to pay for a room and move two to 3 times and still with unsatisfactory results. If you dont want to do your job I suggest you find something more fulfilling. We guests shouldnt have to suffer for it because you maybe unhappy and guess what it shows in your work .
I would highly recommend staying at Springhill suites Airport in Savannah. I was a little bit leery since it was close to the airport of much noise and such but did not experience any noise. The staff was excellent the food was excellent the bed was excellent the pillows were excellent. A+.
Nice hotel near the airport. The outlet store is a few minutes from the hotel, and also many restaurants across the street and near. The rooms are clean and well decorated. Masks are required inside the hotel, pool and hot tub are closed (jan- 2021) and only two people allowed in the breakfast area to get food. Breakfast is simple but offers enough selection for food👍
The staff was wonderful. The property and room beautifully maintained. The room was comfortable and clean. The air handler is loud but that typical of almost any hotel. The hotel needs more than one luggage cart. That did cause a problem even when we checked in late. We also saw it was a problem in the morning when people were leaving. We were okay and could carry all our things.Breakfast was very diverse. A wide spread and you could find something for everyones taste. The food that was supposed to be hot was hot and what was to be cold, cold! Good coffee. There is no doubt we will stay here again.
Beautiful room with very high ceilings. Loved the tub and toilet separate from dressing area. Great for sharing. As always, the bed was so comfortable I didnt want to get up in the morning! Very polite staff. As a bonus this hotel is located just across the interstate from the outlet mall, another mall and quite a few restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
This is not an acceptable Marriott brand hotel. I stayed for six nights, during my stay the room was never cleaned. I was made to put dirty laundry and trash outside my room door. This was done under the guise of a COVID-19 policy. What’s the difference between cleaning a room when you check out and daily cleaning when you’re not in the room? I paid premium price and was not given a discount for having to service my own room. Would never recommend this hotel.
First, let me say I have been a Platinum Elite guest for 5 years. The desk clerk when we checked in was new and totally unfamiliar with the process. She should not have been left alone. After running my CC card several times, she contacted the manager, who was outside. I was not offered a Welcome gift as usual, but that is not a big deal. After check-in, my wife was in the shower when another guest used a key card and walked into our room. She apologized & went to the desk, who then called the room & said she got the rooms mixed up. When we stepped out for dinner, we found our key cards no longer worked. At check-out the next morning, we saw that the rate was not what was originally booked. The manager adjusted the rate. A couple days later when we checked our CC statement we noticed there were 2 charges for the stay (duplicate billing). We called the Springhill Savannah and they apologized and said they would have it adjusted/credited. A couple days later when checking the CC account, there was no change. We called again and were told that there was only one charge and there was nothing more they could do. We then contacted Marriott Customer Service, who basically said the same thing as the local Spring Hill. We were told to contact our CC to challenge the duplicate charge. We attempted to escalate to a customer service manager, but were told that they would respond to us separately. Next, we called our CC service, who said the charge was in fact a duplicate and they would credit us & initiate an investigation. We have never heard from Marriott management.
Overall, this is a nice and clean place with great breakfast. It would have been a five star had it been for the pool that looks like it’s a little dirty with no smell of chlorine in it. After my son swam here, his eyes got infected and his arms developed rashes. Also the staff are very friendly except that cleaning lady in the third floor who handles our rooms 323 and 325. She must have a bad day each day that we stayed there. She was very rude and so we elected to have our rooms not cleaned. We really love this place as we stayed here two years in a row. I highly recommend it. I hope they’ll look closely at the pool’s condition and make it safe for everyone at all times. Perhaps the cleaning crew could use some training also. I’m just being honest and I hope the management will take this as a compliment instead.
The staff is so friendly. Came in after a long day of driving with my two kids. Mia at the front desk got us checked in and on our way to the room before I knew what was happening. Great rest, comfortable beds, clean rooms. Breakfast had a great variety and tasty coffee. The attendants, Pauline and Missandre, kept everything full and clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend and stay again.
This hotel is nice but my biggest frustration is that when you call their hold service tells you there is a shuttle from 5 AM to midnight. This was the whole reason I booked this hotel because I had to fly out at 6 AM. Come to find out that was incorrect and the lady at the front desk told me shuttle isn’t available until 6am and that I should have no issue finding a lyft. Well come 4:30 AM there are zero lyfts or Ubers available so I spent 30 minutes calling taxi companies to finally get lucky and find one out of the 5 I called. This was a very frustrating experience and I would not have booked with this hotel if i knew that was the case. Next time I will be booking with the Hyatt, their shuttle service starts at 5 AM as advertised.
We stay at Marriott properties whenever we travel. We found this particular property to be excellent in all aspects. We arrived late and were pleasantly greeted at the front desk. Our room was clean and spacious. The coffee was the best! Breakfast was very good and the kitchen staff attentive. The manager stopped by to see if there was anything we needed. It was a great customer experience!
Not your typical SpringHill Suites by Marriott. This property felt very used and more like 2 start motel. As a Marriott Rewards member I used my points and money for this booking and I felt extremely cheated as this property was not worth any of my points or money. The Pros very close to the I95 and SC border. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. Hotel decor at check-in clean and modern. Hotel staff very friendly. The Cons once I walked into the room the first thing I noticed was how old and worn and torn the couch and furniture was, holes on furniture and walls, and dents in the walls and furniture. I immediately called downstairs and asked to speak to the Manager on Duty and I spoke with Melanie who was friendly and professional and informed me that the hotel was due for a remodel that would probably happen in January, but was delayed due to Covid-19. She asked if she could move me to another room, but I declined because I am sure all rooms are the same if you are due for a remodel. Maybe this type quality is fine for others but based on the price of this hotel this is unacceptable for the Marriott brand. About 10 minutes after declining the offer to be moved to another room, Melanie called my room back and said she would take off $20 which was a nice gesture and I accepted, but I was still thinking about the points I spent on my 2nd night so I called Marriott Customer Service and they said to get any of points back I would still have to speak to the property manager, so I called Melanie back on day 2 of my stay to ask what she could do for my points and her attitude was different and she reminded me she offered to move me but from what one bad room to another bad room No Thanks. It would have took nothing from the property to return at least 10,000 of my points, but I was offered nothing. There are so many other nice hotels in this area shop around before selecting this until this property has been remodeled. Room 304...
Although the beds were comfortable, the rooms were smaller than I expected. I paid for 2 rooms and both of my keys would not work properly. My room had a smokey odor although it was a non-smoking room. The breakfast had a very limited selection, and I price was too high for the overall service.
The hotel itself is very clean and in a great location. Fastest check in and check out ever. Staff was amazing. I found it odd that only 2 washcloths were left for 2 people, 4 would be nice, and I requested them the second night and got them, no big issue. The thermostat probably needs to be moved closer to the actual air conditioner. The location left you freezing while it was on and sweating when it was off. Which left for a very uncomfortable night of sleep for 2 nights. The bed and bedding was another issue. The fitted sheet would not stay on the bed, the mattress pad made the bed hot. And the mattress was uncomfortable especially for those with back issues. So for those with back issues this may not be the hotel for you. This reason would be the only reason I wont stay at this hotel again.
The hotal was nice and clean. Big disappointment for my 9yrs old cause the pool was closed. Giving 4 stars causes the lady that does breakfast closed it a 9 25 not 9 30 with people waiting i mean took the waffles mix and way turned the toaster off and removed the milk and mind u it 9 25 so that mean she put it up before that 9 25 and she fussed about how she gets there 5 am. As someone that work for the hotal for 12 plus yrs. I know thay not there way of doing things.
This is the best hotel Ive stayed at in awhile. The staff was so friendly during the time of hurricane evacuation when some guess were not. They remained calm when guest were not. Its hard on them too they want to be with their families. The breakfast was good and the coffee was great! Oh man the beds were pure heaven. I just melted in mine every night!!! The pillows were fantastic my head just sank into them every night. The breakfast was pretty good. No complaints here at all! I will be staying at a Springhill Suites more often. Thank you
Stayed at this hotel last night. When you first walk in its very clean and staff is good.I honestly think it is time for a remodel because the rooms are beginning to show their age. Mattress is a little worn, room was clean but I found bugs in the bathroom this morning. Pool water was clean but the pool itself needed a little cleaning and the weight room had a bad odor to it. This is not what I expected from a Marriott property.
I was traveling with family to this hotel and we had 4 kids under 8 and it was perfect! The beds are comfy, the room was ultra clean, breakfast was amazing, but the absolutely best part is the staff. The front desk, housekeeping, breakfast, and management was so nice. We were always greeted with a smile and warm hospitality. Jackie, Nini and Tim were AMAZING! I would highly recommend purely on the staff - they are a great team!
Very disappointed that the pool is closed and probably will be for a while. we chose this hotel for the indoor pool. I called ahead of time to be sure a crib would be available for our use and requested a first floor room near the pool. we would be driving 4 hours with a 1 year old child and was looking forward to burning some energy in the pool . we arrived about 6 pm and was told there werent any first floor rooms available, and they would have to locate a pack and play? noticed sign on pool door closed for chemical adjustment asked front desk how long this would take and they said pool leaks and would not open. front desk called to let us know that all six pack n plays had been given to other guests. one of the ladies at the front desk let us use her personal pack n play that she happened to have in her car. The staff is really great. room was clean except carpet was sticky feeling. I signed up for the rewards program to get the member rate and the discounted rate was never applied, staff offered to get us permission to swim at a Marriott across street, never called back though, they should have moved us to the other hotel. surprised that the reward gave us no benefit, no newspaper, no receipt under door for express checkout
This hotel had very nice customer service. The breakfast bar in the morning is pretty decent too. Its conveniently located near to gas stations which is great if youre traveling through and a pit stop for snacks. The only thing I would say that is not in the positive was the swimming pool and the hot tub. The pool was quite small as to the way it looks in the pictures online. As for the hot tub and never really got hot to actually enjoy soaking in it. The rooms were uniquely designed but very efficient nonetheless. They were also very clean and the beds were quite comfortable.
The bathroom in Room 112 was awful. The shower controls, faucet and shower head were loose and not working properly at all. The floor around the base of the shower and the toilet were left with hair from the previous user. The toilet was left uncleaned and with residue still unflushed.
TERRIBLE HOTEL! Management need to be fired. Be aware of Melanie Green and the General manger Tim. He apologized to me over an email when I have called and even left him a voicemail. I love Marriotts but this was the worst one. Tim definitely needs to be fired! Worst management I have witness. Only willing to offer me $20 for a terrible stay. I will contact the owner of Marriott! Just Terrible
We stayed at SpringHill Suites after a long car ride to rest for the night. The check in and parking went by fairly quickly. The room was big and spacious but there were parts of the bathroom that was dirty. We were so tired that we just let it go. In the morning we did let the staff know. The continental breakfast was very small but good for the one night stay.
Only issue we experienced was that the indoor pool was no in service and we didnt know this prior to check-in. Traveling with a 9 year old, that was part of the reason for choosing this specific hotel. Bathroom was a little outdated. Breakfast was ok, as long as you want a bowl of cereal or a bagel. Overall for 1 night it was fine. Just a few minor changes wouldve made it perfect! Marriott is still my go to for sure!
I would have rated this hotel 5 stars if I had left not having breakfast the next morning. The stay was fantastic. I had no problems with the cell(AT&T) signal or the wifi connection. The room has a flat screen TV which is probably the first model of a flat screen TV. Not a complaint but just an observation.Such a spacious room for the price that I had paid was a steal. Had a good night sleep. The experience goes down hill from here. The breakfast was served between 6:30 to 9:00AM. We were down there by 8:15AM. One would come to expect that the breakfast spread is considered closed after 9:00AM. To our shocking surprise, the lady who was in charge of the breakfast started clearing out the spread at 8:30AM !! And everything became on need basis from then on.The manager was present and sauntered around like it was normal. Clearly distasteful.Good hotel with clean rooms BUT please have your breakfast elsewhere.
So far I have enjoyed my stay here at SpringHill Suites.I have read many complaints about the comfortability of the beds. People! How comfortable a bed is remains entirely subjective to ones own personal preference! Because you find the bed uncomfortable does not mean the guests in the room next you also find the bed uncomfortable. Im sorry that you need to sleep on granite slabs to get a good nights rest.Having said that, I have found the staff to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating! When Ive requested house keeping, my room has been kept spotless clean. I personally find the beds to extremely comfortable, with lots of pillows! The breakfast each morning has been great! Waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, a variety of fresh cut fruits, cereals, bagels, and a wide array of beverages. The shuttle van drivers are knowledgeable about the area, and with plenty to do in a 3 mile radius theyve always been quick to give me a ride to and from my destinations.I think any reviewer of this hotel that has left less than 4 stars is probably one of those customers. You know... the type that complain about everything and anything to get something for free or at a discount, while their own home probably smells like a shady pet store. My experience here has been nothing but great! Ill stay here again during my next visit to the area.
Close to outlet mall and other shopping and the shuttle driver would drop you off and pick you up later when you were done. No charge and more reliable than the Uber driver who never showed up. Let me leave bag after check out since late afternoon flight. Very courteous staff, helpful and friendly. Made me feel very welcome. Room was pretty basic hotel room but clean. The shuttle was a huge bonus.
Stylish hotel, very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Needs new towels. The ones in the room were stained and gross looking. The green ones at the pool were old and frayed. The hot tub kept acting up and the indoor pool was cold. The bedroom part of the room was clean, the office part could have been cleaned better, the chair was stained and trash under the sofa. Breakfast was nice because it had a lot of selection and included hot choices as well. Overall I would say this is a great place to stay especially considering there are a lot of choices at this exit.
I enjoyed our stay up until the lady that cooks the breakfast was absolutely the rudest person EVER!! She was not just rude to my friend and I, but to other patrons. It was 9:33am and she was cleaning up for breakfast. Someone asked for coffee and she began barking how breakfast is over, she had been there since 5am, and she was ready to go. We were fixing our plates and she stood in front of us putting condiments away. We asked if any juice was available and she totally ignored us. The housekeeping staff and front desk were AWESOME!!!
Parking lot well lit. Staff at check in was welcoming and speedy. Room was well lit, comfortable and clean. Suite set up was perfect because I went straight to bed but wife and some late night paperwork to complete. Next morning, check-out was smooth and breakfast was great. No problems to report and would definitely stay again.
Our stay was okay. The location is great. They are located minutes from a Tanger Outlet and other shopping areas and restaurants. The bathroom was not draining. The bathroom sink had a crack. The ceiling had cracks. And there were several black and red dark spots around the bath tub. Breakfast was good. Overheard many individuals complaining about there being only one waffle maker as that station was popular. Staff’s check in and check out greetings was lukewarm.
After seeing some of the other reviews I was afraid to stay here. The lobby has had a nice face lift. The halls and elevator carpeting are in need of replacement. The rooms are well designed and the room was clean. The rooms are a nice size. The hotel towels are showing their age so make sure you bring your own. The staff is wonderful!
A lovely property. Great location near the airport and 95. Friendly staff, nice suites and amenities. A perk if you are a Marriott Rewards Member with status is the option to use a guest credit at the Market or to take Rewards Points for the stay. The lobby is beautiful. Facilitate are modern and contemporary. On site fitness centre and laundry, mini market in the main lobby. Breakfast service every morning (hours vary depending on weekday or weekend; check with desk) that offers a great selection and Gluten Free options.Suites and studios have ample space, a mini fridge or more (depending on room configuration), full baths, couches, deals and more.Ample parking that is handicapped accessible. Great location near shops, many restaurants and attractions.A definite location we will visit again. If you are not yet a Marriott Rewards Member, join and stay with them.
I wish I could give a negative rating. When we entered our room, there were huge chunks of hair on the floor in various areas of the room. We had to make two requests before it was cleaned up. Later that night, we noticed the sheets had some sort of brown steaks on them. I don’t believe our room was adequately cleaned before we our visit. We have always enjoyed the accommodations of Marriott properties; however, this hotel was disgusting!
The overall room was nice and clean but the room smelled like smoke . It was obvious someone had smoke prior to my visit . I saw a towel stuffed in the ceiling where they tried to cover the vent . I hate smoke . I had several bags and I was exhausted so I didn’t want to switch rooms .
Saundra is in charge of the FREE breakfast buffet. The food was excellent. Every piece of bacon was crisp and not burnt. The oatmeal was creamy and thick, but not like a blob. The eggs were fried instead of scrambled. They take the time wrap each piece of fruit, every muffin, and 2-pieces of bread. They also have agave syrup, honey, and little cups of peanut butter. This breakfast buffet was much better than all the other Marriotts that I have been to.
This was a very nice hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I liked the smiles that were given in passing, but im also a friendly person as well. The complimentary breakfast was good. I wish they had served grits instead of oatmeal and had more meats. They do have have packaged grits, you just have to ask. Also I wish waffles were served daily instead of just on the weekends. Overall great hotel, will stay there again and will recommend to others. Oh if you like shopping , The Tanger Outlets, stores, and resturants are down the street and not far from Savannah or Tybee Island.
If I could give zero stars, I would. It was a cheap room, so I should have known better. I requested and early check in when I booked and even called when we were in the way. Still the room wasnt ready. The room was hot and we had to keep moving around to keep the A/C working because it only worked if someone was in the room. None of the items I requested were in the room. The floor was damp when we got in the room and smelled musty because it was so hot. I was disappointed. It was so hot that weekend so it would have been nice to walk into a cool, crisp room. The staff was polite and helpful. They were very responsive but I wont book here again.
Checked in to 1 room with a leaking toilet. Was switched to a room with a noisy bathroom fan and knocking pipes. First day cleaning crew changed towels and made beds but didnt clean coffee area and didnt restock supplies. The next day they didnt clean at all. It was 8 pm before they were on our floor. They didnt clean. They were nice and gave us coffee and shampoo when asked. Was just underwhelmed. Breakfast was okay but choices dwindled every day we were there.
My stay was very sub par. We noticed around 11pm that our air was not working. The Guest Service Manager Tim Butler came to “fix” it around 11:30. He assured us that it would work and that we had it too low. Needless to say it didn’t work properly and the room never cooled off. My husband has asthma and can’t be too hot and I literally was stuffy all night because the room air was stagnant. The next morning I talk to him about the air as well as the hot tub not working and being cold and the pool being warm. I told him that I felt like we should not be responsible for the entire balance of the bill considering being cool in the summer is a huge deal. He stated that he could only credit me back 20.00. I manage to finally get home to do 30.00, however he did so reluctantly. I will be contacting corporate first thing Monday morning.
Only 1.5 miles from the Tesla superchargers at the Savannah Airport and just off the highway, this was the perfect road stop for me. The hotel offers a free shuttle to local businesses as well as the airport, which meant I could have a drink with dinner since I didnt need to drive. The staff were all cheerful and welcoming, especially Mia on the front desk, and my room was quiet, efficiently laid-out, and comfortably appointed. An evening swim in the indoor pool made a relaxing end to my day, and the hot breakfast the next morning offered delightfully healthy, tasty variety: how often do you find fresh spinach on a breakfast bar? Ill be back!
Room very clean, bed very comfortable, but light bulb was out next to bed and the key (card) was only working half the time. Could use more outlets...had to get an extension cord to accommodate c-paps for my wife, son and myself. Staff was courteous and professional.
My husband and I spent 7 nights at SpringHill Suites due to work. The rooms were always clean, ALL of the staff went above and beyond for anything we needed. Stephanie at front desk was a pleasure to work with checking us in and answering all my questions. The breakfast was good and staff always there for anything you need.
The room was not up to Marriott standards at all. The rooms are very dated and not the cleanest. The bathroom was not cleaned before our stay. There was still dried soap and hair in the shower and the floor was also dirty. I actually had to go purchase cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom myself. I called the front desk to advise that the bathroom was not properly cleaned and the only thing that the lady working the front desk said was that she would let the housekeeping manager know the following day. I will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone.
After driving for 7 hours from Hot Springs, Virginia it was wonderful to relax and enjoy a night at SpringHill Suites. Your hotel was easy to locate and there was ample parking. Your front desk staff were very pleasant and efficient. Thank you for your awesome service!
We stayed here on our way to Florida. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The hot breakfast was satisfying and consisted of eggs, sausage, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, bagels, and toast. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our cars AC broke on our drive down and we tried driving for half a day but it was miserable so we decided to get the AC repaired in Savannah. The repair was going to take 5 hours and would take us past the noon checkout time. We asked the front desk if it was possible to do a late check-out as there was no where else around that we could bring our kids to. The staff had no problem letting us stay to 2 pm and even drove my wife to pick up the car when it was ready! This is what hospitality is and we will definitely be staying here on any future trips through Savannah.
I enjoyed my time at Springhill Suites. The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming. The service desk attendant was very friendly. She helped us with directions, great restaurants, and things to do in Savannah. Needless to say we had a great time! The cleanliness of the hotel and room was great. The location was convenient and very close to shopping, restaurants, and the highway. This would be my first choice if ever in the area again.
Got stuck on a cancelled and rescheduled flight. The airline put us up here. Nice spot. Clean, nice spacious rooms and nice staff,.even at 1 o clock in the morning. Kimberly, at the desk, is a wonderful lady. Her patience and understanding is astounding...thanks Kimberly. Have a great day.
This hotel is as nice as you will find in its price range. The room was clean and service was good. Continental breakfast was good too with a variety of dark roast, regular and decaf coffees available as well as waffle irons for a choice in hot foods. The only drawback is the location if you happen to be vacationing to Savannah as it is about 20 minutes from downtown and an hour from Tybee Beach. For business travlelers and overnighters passing through, this is a very nice, clean and reasonably priced place to rest your head.
Very clean, comfortable, excellent service, and great value. We saved a lot of money using the shuttle to get to the hotel and to dinner and shopping rather than needing a ride. They let us check in early, the breakfast was good, the snacks were good. We had a very nice stay.
Front desk were very friendly on arrival. Upkeep of hotel was not Marriott quality. Wall paper in room was falling off. Edge guards in rooms were also coming off. Shower head in bathroom was filthy. Some signs of mold around bathroom tub and shower. Caulking around bathroom was not well finished. Bed was not made underneath comforter. Carpet did not seem vacuumed in corners of room. Fitness center only had 3 treadmills crammed in a very small space.
I stayed here with my daughter and granddaughters . The room was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The breakfast staff was helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Check in was fast and the pricing was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again.
This was a last minute trip to get out of town for the weekend. Walked in and the frount desk people were so sweet. Everytime we passed by they spoke to us. We had a problem with the first room we had. But before i could say boo they were on it taking care of it. They put us in a different room without a blink. The beds were so comfy best sleep i got in a while. Coffee was fresh, workout room was clean. And close to shopping what could be any better.. well diffently be back soon...
This was my first time staying at a SpringHill and I look forward to using them again. The staff was so personal and caring and went beyond their expectations. The room was perfect and I will never forget that bed! Wish I had that at home! The breakfast was ample and very good and the staff was friendly and helpful. I am very pleased with my stay.
The room was perfectly fine and presentable as expected from any Marriott branch. What I find completely unacceptable is paying a room for my grandma who’s visiting and finding out there’s not a single wheelchair in the whole complex. She had an accident abroad but of course the Sandman Vancouver Airport Hotel had an available wheelchair and exceptional service in that regard during her stay.
Very disappointed in the Marriott chain. Stayed here three nights and room was never cleaned although it was marked in their system that it was. No fresh towels or linens. We had to go downstairs and get them. Not a big deal, but sounds like these Marriotts are understaffed because I had the same issue at the last Marriott one month ago. Asked if they could check out the drain in the tub because the water was not going down quickly...it took over 30 minutes for the water to drain! It was at night, so I understood there would be no one on duty to resolve this issue. They assured me that someone would be in the next day to take care of it. Needless to say the issue was never resolved. Breakfast okay, not great. The pool water was green and cloudy. TV placed in a very odd location. Only one of the beds had a clear view of it. Staff very nice, but couldnt/didnt seem to help much---just said Im sorry and was offered a few Marriott points.
Loved the spacious room and check in staff was funny and accommodating. Was misinformed about breakfast times and we had small children and we at breakfast on time to be told that breakfast on weekend was at 7 not 630 and we had to leave hotel by 7 to get where we needed to go on time. Had we known we would have made alternative plans. Other then that was a good stay but breakfast for us is vitals before gymnastics meets.
The location is close to the airport and the lobby has been updated and modern. The breakfast is your standard breakfast with a good selection. Now for the not so good. The check in process was long and there was only one person working at the front desk. When she got to me she seemed somewhat annoyed that she had to deal with another person. She didnt ask for my card or license and didnt mention my Gold status (which isnt a big deal to me but I know that typically other locations do that). She grabbed a handful of key cards and started to put them into the machine. After about 5 attempts I looked up and she said this sometimes takes a while. After about the 10th try, she got a room key to activate. When I went to the room I found that the room was in decent shape.... until I went to the bathroom. The shower had hair all in it and it was pretty clear that it had not been cleaned. The shower head looked like it was about to come off the wall at any time. At this point, I didnt want to complain or switch rooms because I knew that I would deal with the same girl at the front desk. I will say that this is not representative of other SpringHill Suites that I have stayed at. Maybe I just caught everyone on a bad day.
This hotel is very convenient off of I-95. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Part of the reason we chose this property was because of the parking lot. Sounds strange, but I was towing a 30 enclosed trailer and maneuvering such a rig through many parking lots is near impossible. At this SpringHill Suites I was able to drive around the building and park in the back. No need to ever back-up. In the morning we just pulled straight ahead and out onto the main road. Very easy...thank you. Since I didnt want to unhook the trailer from my truck we inquired at the front desk about places to eat that were within walking distance. There were several options that were just a 10-15 minute walk away but the staff offered to give us a ride. This was most appreciated. A big thumbs-up to everyone at the SpringHill Suites Savannah Airport. Well be back.
We called WITHIN AN HOUR of arriving and prior to booking to confirm hot tub in working order. After an 11 hour drive the hot tub was a must. Was told it was working so we booked. Arrived, checked in, emptied car and went to spa. Guess what, hot tub broken!!! After speaking to front desk and asking her to call manager we were told if we stayed the night the room would be discounted upon checkout. In the morning when the desk supervisor was there she told us she heard the whole story and they would NOT DISCOUNT ROOM. They lied. Well joke is on them because we were on our way to preview a vacation club and when we found out it was a Marriott which is who owns this hotel we listened to the presentation but could not possibly be comfortable joining a club with a chain that does not keep their word. A bit costly mistake on their part to lie to and dismiss a customer. The room was nice and clean but would not go to Marriot again
All the staff were warm and friendly. As someone with food allergies, I really appreciate that they offered gluten free bread for toast and soy milk for coffee! My only critique would be the TV placement in the room was a bit challenging to view from the sitting area, but that was not a problem for us.
This hotel went above and beyond. I received a call promptly after getting to my room, asking how I liked my room and asking if anything was wrong. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room and the bathroom was very clean. I will definitely be back. I stay in hotels rather frequently and this has honestly been one of the best ones.
The hotel was clean, the staff was super courteous & the breakfast was appropriate & fresh. I will definitely stay at this SpringHill Hotel again... I love Marriott Hotels because their standard of cleanliness and customer service has always been top notch! Ive been using Marriott for 10+ years (1st being introduced by a previous employer). I have already recommended this hotel to friends & family. No complaints.
I was impressed by the courteous staff but OMG the rooms are very disappointing. The first room they assigned us smelled funny and doesnt seem very clean. We requested another room. The second room smelled fine but the set up is so weird where the pull out barely fit between the wall and the desk (see photo). It did not come with extra blanket and it has stain on the bed. GROSS!!! The closet located at the end of the room with no lights. The closet is pretty deep so you cant really see anything in there. The iron and the blow dryers are missed placed and seemed like they just tossed it in the closet. Overall very disappointed by this big chain.
When we arrived we were told we would have early check-in but no rooms are ready. When we got our room the battery was weak and the alarm kept going off. The pool water was ice cold. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good. You get what you pay for. We actually booked the hotel for the indoor pool which after using it for 10 minutes we left. The floors were very slippery and dangerous for kids
We stayed here many times but the hotel is showing its wear and tear. The beds were clean but the carpet was extremely soiled and stained (didnt want to walk on it barefooted). The room smelled moldy. Maybe this hotel should be remodeled. The building still appears in good condition. Staff members were very nice.
Some outstanding employees; poor desk service on call ahead reservations-messed up the reservation and we were without our specific room until an outstanding young man made it work---they do care and try to service your needs. Breakfast was typical for hotels, but they ran out of the some things before breakfast was over--the hotel was packed. Room air conditioner rattled throughout the night an kept me awake, no other rooms were available. Normally I would say good value for the money, but this time I cant go there.I truly believe that this negative experience was an exception, but it should be noted that you need to be careful.
Room very comfortable with a couch for sitting. Staff very helpful. Shuttle service to dinner was a plus as we were trailer in ga boat. It would be good for these new hotels to remember that for future designs as baby boomers travel with gear. Carpets on third floor need replacing in the hall. Limited parking for trailers and boats. Staff again was excellent. Breakfast was standard fare. Pool was very small but there was a hot tub.
We made the best choice when we chose the SpringHill Suites Airport Marriott in Savannah, GA. Though there were 4 other hotels within eye shot-this one was the best. It was upscale to the point we had everything we needed including a glass of wine in the evening. It was not overpriced for the amount of luxury. Breakfast was good. The beds were great. The staff was friendly and approachable. They helped us with any and every need we had. We even left the do not disturb sign up and they left a bag of towels hanging on the handle for when we returned. Awesome!
Good Hotel for a few days.Rooms are decently sized, clean and well equipped (mini-kitchen with fridge, microwave,..) with good noise isolation. Breakfast (included) is very good, but on a side-note: disposable tableware is not really what I expect in a Hotel.Staff is very friendly. They also provide a free airport-shuttle.
The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are in dire need of updating...and a deep cleaning in the very least. We had ants in the first room were able to switch rooms without any problems. Both rooms felt dingy and dirty. The couches are visibly stained and the extra sheets had holes. There is poor lighting in the bathroom which only added to the scary motel vibe the room gave off. The breakfast food was not tasty.
We waited approximately an hour and a half for our rooms to be ready. Throughout our stay, the hotel staff seemed consistently unprepared to accommodate our group—we never had enough towels, the rooms were cleaned very late in the day, and the locks on 4 out of 6 of our rooms did not work consistently.
This hotel was in a great location for a family shopping trip. The queen suite was the perfect size for our family of 5. We couldnt be more satisfied with the friendly staff and cleanliness of the facility. We will definitely book with SpringHill Suites in the future!
The hotel was very comfortable overall. The Suites were large and our party of 4 had ample room. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very professional and polite. Any requests we made were handled promptly. The hotel has easy access to the airport. Highly recommended.
Any hotel that controls my A/C while I sleep, will not earn more than a 2 star review. Waking up multiple times per night sweating because the A/C is motion sensor is a horrible experience. I urge everyone to start writing 2 star reviews or less (if its a bad place) until hotel chains fix this. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN!
We arrived at this hotel at 10:30 pm and we were so happy they had availability. There are 6 in my family and this hotel room gave enough space for all of us to have our own space to sleep. It was a new hotel with a slight paint smell but nothing major and the breakfast was very good the next morning. Nice Stay
Not only was the service unimpressive, I stayed at this hotel on a corporate business trip with 25 other associates of my own, for over a month and they have ZERO recollection that we had ever stepped foot on this establishment. Please tell me how this happens? I missed out on a month of hotel points staying at this location and Im left with poor service and no points. If you want a better experience with perhaps better management, Id suggest looking elsewhere because they wont remember ever hosting your business partners as all. The poorest!
Was a real effort to stay at this hotel. Room was only cleaned when you made a request at the front desk...Had to re-request they change the sheets...Air Condition and TV were in poor condition...Internet (free) was misleading and appeared to be designed to make you mistakenly confirm a chargeable upgraded internet.Hall ways were always cluttered with cleaning supplies... even when cleaners were gone. Mattress was collapsed on one sideFood at breakfast was like plastic, and never seemed to fit my schedule. (early riser).
Im a very dedicated Marriott guy and have to say I was a little bit disappointed with this one. The hotel was clean and overall experience was good but the help (at the front desk) didnt provide the typical excellent experience. Check in was slow with no sense or urgency as was buying things from the snack area. Both times there were multiple behind the desk and each time one of the two people were just chatting socially with somebody. Not a horrible experience but not what Im used to from Marriott.
Incredibly rude service. Shocking treatment from a Marriott property. There is a woman named Nene that treated us with the most disrespect i think i have ever had.The rooms are in poor condition. Air-conditioning makes so much noise, too hot when it is off and too cold when its on.
Absolutely outstanding staff! Very friendly and welcoming. Great location with a number of eating places nearby. Clean and well maintained facility. The public areas are up to date. The beds are great. The rooms are showing some wear. Nothing terrible but not crisp and new.
Stopped here while drivng to florida. Was easy access off I-95. Room was spacious and clean. Property was well maintained and staff was very friendly. Price for the room seemed acceptable considering location and time of year. Would stay again if i was in the area and in need of a room
From the moment we stepped into the lobby until the moment we stepped out we were astounded by truly exceptional personal service and cleanliness. Eye contact, greetings, friendliness, checking that our needs had been met after getting into the room...I could go on, but you get the picture. Exactly what one hopes for but rarely expects anymore.
Of all the hotels that I have stayed at, this one takes the cake for sure. Everything about this property made my stay enjoyable beyond compare. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous as well as being quite knowledgeable about the local area too. Overall, this was proposed my best experience at a Marriott property in a long time
I give it a 4 🌟 because of the staff and the service the provide. But the public bathroom downstairs need a lot of work theres no privacy whatsoever when one walk-in youre looking straight to the person using the bathroom behind a close door. What I meant is that theres a huge gap between the all the panels that are there for one privacy. Marriott need some big improvement there... So bad. If I knew I would never step foot in there.
Hotel wasnt to bad. Cleanliness wasnt as great as I hoped. Dust and stained covered tub in the king suite. Most off what turned me off is I left a belonging there (which I thought my husband grabbed) drove straight home 7 hours away. To realize I left it. So I called back already knowing the cleaning crew/worker probably took them for themselves.I was correct they did. I called up there and nothing was in lost in found. Talked to front desk was told they would call back .. nope.. so I called again and I left the manager a voicemail to hear nothing back. Not a fan of theives. Just hoped there was still good people out there. Never again will I stay there. And I will be sure to review and remind people to triple check cause it wont be there when you try to go get it.
We rented two rooms for Friday thru Sunday. When we returned to our rooms on Saturday none of our room keys worked. The maids stopped by my room, took all the dirty towels and left no clean towels. They didnt leave any toilet paper and didnt bother to clean anything. I guess they just wanted to go thru our things. The hot tub had no water in it and the pool was really gross. I have no idea what the awful smell is in the stairways but it is breath taking and made me nausea I would NOT recommend this hotel! I will pass on Marriott from now on.
I stay at a lot of hotels while traveling for work and this one has by far been the worst. The rooms smell like wet dog, toilet tank was detached from the base, the microwave buttons didnt work and the sofa had questionable stains all over it. Housekeeping had to go to another hotel to get us a crib and the front desk clerk was trying (and failing miserably) to multitask unnecessarily. Honestly, if you are headed south, go one more exit down and stay at the Springhill there...the breakfast isnt great, but the rooms are clean and the staff is great!
We came here as a halfway point from nc to florida, and the room was subpar to say the least. The first thing we noticed was that the pool was under construction, which was the reason we came here in the first place. Then we got in the room only to discover that the previous persons food was still in the refrigerator! The bathroom also had a bad smell which did not make things better. Finally, we brought food back to the room in hopes of heating it up, but couldnt because the microwave didnt work. Everyone here was very kind and considerate, however, time and money would be better spent elsewhere.
Easy to get to off I-95. Efficient check-in. Comfortable beds. Suite and wifi allowed those needing to catch up on work emails to do so without disturbing those trying to sleep. Excellent hot breakfast - staff very helpful and kept things moving, clean and refilled. Great place!
Overall decent place for the $$. What I liked: spacious rooms, fridge and microwave in room, quiet, convenient to restaurants and highway. Issues I noted: bathtub was slow to drain and backed up while taking shower which I thought was gross. No convenient outlet for phone between 2 beds, some stains on carpet and furniture, lighting above bathroom mirror was dim, and tv stations were notably grainy.
Everything was great. But check the thermostat. Did not see that heat was on and the room was stuffy all night. I assumed air was on since it was summer in Georgia. The thermostat was hard to see since it was behind the TV. Other than that great. Had a good breakfast and we were off.
I believe the overall room quality was not worth the original price paid. My room had a very musty smell as if there was a possible mold problem. When addressed with the desk, the manager avoided coming to assist the desk clerk with my issue stating She was swamped. I feel that was very poor customer service on the management part. The rest of the staff was pleasant and respectul.
Very, very nice accommodations and staff. Breakfast offers all the essentials: oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, juices, yogurt, breads, etc. and of course coffee. I do recommend this hotel. I liked being at the airport location and being out of the busier areas of Savannah. A very good value.

2021-12-31I would not stay here again unless I absolutely have to. I had to spent one night and that was enough. The pros- The check-in process was easy enough. The beds were nice and comfy. Shower was good. Breakfast was decent. Staff are friendly. The cons- big yellow water stain on the ceiling of the room and part of bathroom wall had a weird bright yellow stain. The shower curtain was moldy. The room had a dingy feeling and smell. The sofa was old and had stains. No tissues, paper towels in room. The carpets were stained and looked dirty/dingy. Overall the room didn’t feel clean. I hesitated to use the towels as well. Like I said for one night I made do but I’ll book somewhere else next time.

2022-01-03Cons - Running low on bottled water that we packed for our trip, I thought Id fill up cups with ice from the ice machine on the second floor to use for coffee in the morning since ice is usually filtered water. After it melted it was clear the ice machine hasnt been cleaned in some time, with brown and black stuff floating all in the water. Also upon arrival, there were no towels in the room and the next morning at 4 am I discovered there was no tray to put the coffee in the coffee machine.Pro - The room size is great for a family of four. Large bathroom. There is a separate living room area plus a kitchenette. The mini-fridge is very cold and partially froze our water and creamer. Hot showers! Loved all the wallpaper throughout.

2022-06-30It is what you would expect from a Marriott it was clean decent well-kept, however they are really short changing on the breakfast menu we chose not to eat there after we tried it and we went across the street to the waffle House and had a much better breakfast. Their coffee is not very good. On the other hand it is a free breakfast if youre on a budget

2022-03-17This hotel just has a weird smell as you walk in. I don’t want to say diapers, but I’m not sure how else to describe this.We pulled the sheets back and the bed sheets and bright yellow stains. The towels have brown stains on them and one of them is… sticky.I wasn’t expecting 5 star hotel but I wasn’t expecting worse than motel 8 either.

2022-05-13After a long day traveling, I look forward to a hot shower. My room had the faucet adjusted so that you cound not regulate the shower past Luke warm. Totally unacceptable. The exhaust fan in the bath sounded like a truck going down a highway. The sofa had stains and didnt look clean and the carpet needs replacing.

2022-04-12Positive: I didnt like it, but I was only staying one night so I just made it work. Negative: The room was extremely dusty. It was like no one had ever dusted the furniture. The carpet was cruddy. It needs to be replaced.

2022-06-08Room was dated. Need more USB ports...could not charge 2 items at same time. Front desk was helpful in printing items from my laptop.

2022-06-10The room was clean, however there was no beding for the pull out couch and the front desk didnt want to be bothered to bring it. The next day housekeeping knocked three times before we left at 10 am. How annoying. The room could also use some updates.
