Ive been to this venue when Lady Gaga did her ArtRave: Artpop Ball tour in 2014, and Ive never had issues with lines into the venue until last night when my wife and I went to see Twice. There was so much confusion of what doors to go to into the venue. I dont know if staff was short-staffed due to covid or what, but there was heavy miscommunication of which venue doors were open to enter the arena. Everyone went to the Gate 7 area first, because there was an pop-up merch shop earlier in the day, so most people assumed the main doors was around that area. Everyone got there early at 5:30pm as requested for covid checks to avoid missing the concert altogether. A lot of people were becoming restless and slightly angry since there was no movement in lines after 5:30pm. It was mostly 2 hours of waiting. Everyone was pretty much standing around and hoping to get in early. The show was supposed to start at 7:30pm, but people were still stuck waiting outside at 8 or more due to bad communication and line management from staff as a whole. Then suddenly, people started to stampede onto the otherside of the building not explaining anything. My wife and I ended up missing the first 10 minutes, but the rest of the concert was great! I feel sorry for the other people that missed more than 10 minutes of the concert.TL;DRThe Twice concert was wonderful. Staff needs to send a better email info on which doors open when its concert time next time, not just info on the pop-up store location.
Xavier Harper, MPA, PMP, and Sam OBabatunde Thank You, for showing me around your absolutely stunning State of the Art Facility (State Farm Arena) and being an excellent host this evening, and Servant Leaders. The Sky is the Limit for the two of you!! I can’t wait for what the future has in store within your respective organization!
I cannot thank the staff at the State Farm Arena enough for making my boyfriend and I’s experience incredible at the Justin Bieber concert. My boyfriend broke his ankle a week before the concert and we were extremely worried about how we’d be able to stand in line, get to our seats, stand at the concert, and much more. When we arrived, parking staff immediately saw my boyfriend on crutches and directed us to the elevator. When we got in line outside the arena, staff members came to us in line and offered us wheelchair assistance to which we accepted. They brought us to the very front of the line, got us through security first, and allowed us to enter the arena first as well. Kaleb, the staff member who escorted my boyfriend via wheelchair to our seats, was kind enough to stop at the box office to let us ask about upgrading to ADA seating. The lady (I cannot remember her name), upgraded us at no additional charge to ADA seating which was an even BETTER view than our original seats! Kaleb then escorted us to our seats. We were so grateful to have these seats, we were able to sit the entire concert with an unblocked view with a bar-like table in front of us to eat on. A staff member also went out of her way to take pictures of us when we were struggling to get pictures. When we decided to make our way to the merch kiosks for some Biebs shirts, a staff member brought us to the side where they let us pick our shirts and checkout without having to stand in the incredibly large line. After the concert, Kaleb came back with the wheelchair and escorted us back to the front, where my boyfriend only had to walk for about 2-3 minutes before we were back at our car. Thanks to the kindness of the staff, our concert experience was absolutely amazing. We can’t thank the staff enough for being so accommodating and making this the best concert we have ever been to.
Pros- some truly amazing people working here. Cons- they communicate poorly and generally have little clue of what is going on. Constantly changing rules. And they closed the bathrooms before the concert was over which doesn’t do well after we had to wait outside for hours due to a delay in their schedule.
Incredible experience at a Hawks game. This was my first NBA game and it was at a first class facility. We had a suite and it didn’t disappoint! The food was fantastic as well as the service. The game went down to the wire are history was written with Michael Westbrook. I’d recommend highly seeing a game here. I will be back!
Well, although I understand delays happen, after arriving early to the TWICE concert, as recommended, us and thousands more were told just minutes before the start time that the concert was delayed by an hour and a half, maybe more! No explanation, no apology! People have been standing for hours in the sun, and all their beautiful and creative efforts to maximize their experience just melting away along with their patience...next time, hand out some water bottles and play everyone some live music to brighten up morale and show some concern for our well being!
This is a nice venue but I still miss the Thrashers at Philips Arena. The last time we went is was difficult to get food or drinks so we tried to stick with the beet carts where lines were shorter but some of the cart beer sellers didnt give any change back because they chose their own tips. We tip well but I had just given a tip when my friend came out of the restroom and I paid for her drink too and I couldnt get my change even though I just gave him a tip for our drinks (I just didnt know what she wanted). Besides that it is a decent concert venue for large concerts.
Seeing TWICE perform at this venue on February 24 was amazing because they’re absolutely wonderful as a group, but the way that the arena handled getting concert goers checked in was poorly handled. Fans were standing in unorganized lines outside of the arena for more than two hours past the time the doors were supposed to be opened (the State Farm Arena’s email prior to the concert stated 5:30 PM). The concert was supposed to start at 7:30 PM but was delayed to 8:00 PM, and all of a sudden at around 8:15 PM everyone outside started running and rushing towards a couple of the gates because that was when a greater effort to check people in was made (once people found out that the concert had started). This could have caused someone to get hurt; I’m not sure if the arena or staff wasn’t prepared to handle the fan turnout for the concert or if something else was the issue, but I wasn’t impressed with the arena’s handling of things.
I know that concerts come with the risk of smoking, but I thought that indoors it wouldnt be a problem. I was wrong. The guy in front of us pulled out matches and lit a blunt. So I had a full blown asthma attack. We tried to move but the place was packed. We moved to the top of the section expecting to have to go back to our seats, but Jill K. came and spoke with us. She listened and allowed us to stay. I am so grateful that she allowed us to move to somewhere safe. Thank you so much! You may never know what it means to us.
My experience in ATL was whole when i attended the Playboi Carti Tour at the State Farm ArenaVery clean inside and beautiful on the out. Food was yummy and cheap. $3 For a batch of fries, $2 for a bottle of water .. only downside was you weren’t allowed to keep your cap and needed exact cash. But the arena is HUGE! Safety measures were made. Loved it
The check in was so slow and only started opening other gates after they realized there was a huge line for ONE gate on each side (and they had already postponed the opening of the gate an hour back at the point.) we ended up missing the first half (three songs) of the twice concert and we got there to the queue an hour or so early. disappointing. btw this was also a sold out show so you would think they would have been more prepared. the concert was amazing though
Staff get you in and seated. But the seats in the upper level are horrible. Its like sitting on a forward leaning ledge. And the no bottle top policy....dumb. Also at a recent New Edition concert, the staff were quick to block us from seeing the stage due to them partying on the job. Lol! I know they couldnt help it because it was a great show but dont block my view.
Overall, the experience was not the best. My concert was supposed to start at 7:30 and it didn’t start until about 8:10. Doors were supposed to open at 5:30 and I didn’t get inside the venue until around 7:00-7:30. Everyone was let into the venue very late and we had no idea when the concert would start. There was no announcement done to let everyone know that the concert was starting so I almost missed the beginning. You’d think they would make an announcement five to ten minutes before it started so that everyone could get to their seats but I guess they didn’t care. Also people were still being checked in once the concert already started. The staff were very nice but whoever organized the timing of everything did a bad job. If I had a choice I wouldn’t come here again. But if my favorite group was playing there I’d probably reluctantly go.
We came here for the eagles concert, which was downright amazing and a ton of fun! The venue however needs some work, mostly with their staff. The staff is very rude, unorganized and their decision making is dumb as a bag of rocks. First off, instead of using signs or speakers or a megaphone to instruct people how to enter the stadium, they decide to just yell at the top of their lungs. Which wouldnt be bad if you wernt in the middle of 100s of people trying to get in. The prices inside are flat out criminal. $14 for a standard bud light!? A bottle of water is $2! How does that make any sense?! Seating is a bit crammed and halfway through the show the staff started to keep the caps on the water bottles because they said we would throw them at other people/at the performers. State farm arena must have a child in management to have their workers take off the bottle caps of water fearing we would throw them. I would much rather go out of state to see a concert than come here again. Absolutely ridiculous!
What a complete waste of space run by the corrupt in Atlanta. Went for a Dude Perfect event. Paid $16 for drinks and after getting our empty cups, all machines were out of ice and CO2 so all drinks were flat. The event was great but the venue is the worst I have been to in a while.
Very few options open for food/drink or merchandise sales. In turn led to extremely long lines. There were value friendly food and drink choices available, just the line thing again. I do think the alcohol is extremely over priced. $20 is far too much for one small drink with a lot of ice, just saying!
Honestly the very best venue I have ever been to in my 54 years on this planet. Went 2 nights in a row for the Harry Styles concert with my daughter this past Oct 27 and 28, 2021. Every member of the State Farm team from security in personelle, ticket takers, crowd control, food vendors, bathroom attendants, bar tenders...everyone and I mean everyone was so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make the night exceptional. I cant wait to go back to an event there again and hell...they made me want to change my insurance company to State Farm for real.
I haven’t been to State Farm Arena since it was Phillips Arena and they redid it. It looks so nice! The seats, even the higher ones, are cushioned and comfortable. Beer and drinks are a little pricey, but not that crazy for a sports venue. They have a lot of good restaurant options that range in price, so there’s something for everyone. They sell beer, wine, and liquor. We went for a Hawks game and it was a lot more fun than I remember it being. The screen is super nice, big, and clear. The fire that they shoot out when they announce players’ names was fun, and it was actually so hot, I could feel it all the way in the highest section.I was very impressed with the arena and I can’t wait to go back for another game or concert!
Attended Hawks vs Wizards basketball game. Nice spacious arena. Easy parking in the CNN Parking Lot with fast entry & covered approach to section 104 inside the arena. I really liked the ATL Hawks MLK jerseys sold inside the Hawks Shop, however, I was a little disappointed that they dont sell the WNBAs Atlanta Dreams team gear. Seems a little misogynistic.
We went to the John Mayer concert this past Friday. The staff was nothing short of professional. I’ve been to a lot of venues where the staff definitely were not attentive. Lines did get kind of long throughout the stadium. Draft system was not working in the Players Club area but we managed to get some delicious beers at the Zac Brown bar. I did see they sold Crown Royal cans. Which they had my personal favorite, Cutwater. Cutwater had many different options from Tequila Margaritas to Mai Tais. Either way, well done State Farm ownership and Employees! You really made the experience VERY enjoyable!
One of my goals in life is to catch a basketball game (particularly a hawks game) in every NBA city. Ive gone to about 8 (I know, I have a lot to catch up on), and I have to say State Farm arena is a really great experience! After the renovations, it truly is a world class arena. Food prices are super affordable - you can spend less than 10$ on a full meal! And they also have many premium offerings like antico pizza. They also have the best mascot and the organist, and they just get it right. It might be a bit much for basketball “purists”, but honestly it’s an amazing experience for the whole family.Right now during covid, they’ve done an amazing job making sure to keep things safe. You have to use Clear health check before entering and they’ve spaced things out nicely.Definitely check out a game here the next opportunity you get, and please cheer for the home team hawks:)
A mecca venue for entertainment of sports, live music and more!! The arena has convenient access from inside CNN Center or straight off of Marta Transit. All the employees-from the greeters at the gates, ticketing, and security- to the bartenders- to the cleaning staff and ushers- Everyone provides outstanding service with a smile and pleasing personalities! The concourse can be a bit confusing, at first, but presents an open area at each turn, with any type of food, drink, cocktail, beer, souvenir or merchandise your heart desires! Theres a decent amount of seating in areas around these concession areas and the restrooms are the best! Clean, fully stocked and include individual paper towel dispensers above each sink area! NICE! Most importantly, the exit strategy is well organized also, with helpful stewards to guide you to the best doorway, if/when needed. Over all, such a pleasant experience! It almost makes me wish I liked basketball, lol...but State Farm is also exceptional for concerts! Hope to return soon. (2 show review)
Grate place to see a concert! Can’t wait to see a basketball game since their renovation. The bathrooms and bars that are within view of the court/stage was an amazing idea. Clearing up the site lines and the club suits was an amazing idea. Wonder new food and drink option and they did an amazing job opening the arena up.
The Eagles concert lines were horrible. We stayed at the Omni because you can walk through CNN to get to the arena. We get to the line and they redirected us outside were there had to HUNDREDS of people a mile long in wach direction. What is the point of having access through CNN if its not accessible?! I WILL NEVER GO TO A CONCERT HERE AGAIN. I AM OUTSIDE LISTENING TO A CONCERT I PAID $230 A TICKET FOR!😡
Wow! The US does sport so, so well! My first NBA game to see the hawks win a rare game vs the spurs and fellow Aussie Patty Mills. Attended the game with my work colleagues from three other continents and it was an experience We’ll always remember. Found it difficult to get tickets from Australia, but the staff at the hawks were great and found a way. Plus hooked me up some free tickets for my colleagues last minute!! Food and drink options top class and very reasonably priced
Attended a concert. The staff here are unbelievably courteous and helpful. I can’t remember ever being treated so well and so special at an event like this. And we were not in the expensive seats. And it was all night long the staff was awesome. Even upon leaving. Well trained and managed is what this means. Great venue but I wouldn’t recommend the upper deck straight away from the stage as the sound isn’t the best and the lighting gets in the way a bit.
Nice venue, but not so much for concerts. The sound can be a bit choppy and views can be either really good or really, really bad depending on your seat location. The parking is adequate but expect to see wait times of around 30 minutes to depart as traffic has to have the needed time to clear. If possible get a hotel nearby and walk back and avoid the crowds leaving. They need to turn on the score board monitors during concerts for those sitting further away to have a better overall customer experience.
I recently visited the State Farm Arena for a TOOL concert. I hadnt been to this arena since it had been redone and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Parking wasnt the easiest thing and was rather pricey at $20. Honestly the lot didnt feel super secure either, especially toward the back. I parked at the gulch and to get to the entrance you have to take like...8 or 10 flights of stairs so keep that in mind. Entering the venue was super easy and quick. The workers were friendly and got us through in no time. There were tons of food and drink vendors, pretty much anything you want, they have. Its nicely decorated and there are lots of cool art installations throughout the building. The performance area itself was great! The seats are comfortable and you can get a good view pretty much wherever youre seated. If you get confused about where your seat is, there are plenty of employees on hand ready to assist you. The best part has to be the acoustics. The sound really made the show AMAZING probably didnt hurt that it was TOOL though ;). If you ever catch an event here im certain youll enjoy it.
Huge arena! We went to JLos concert was packed! So many people, lots of food, drinks, souvenirs and memorabilia. Awesome concert a bit too much skin for my taste from her but After all she turning 50 so I know she still has it but dont leave too much to the imagination. Other then that was a great time!
Finally went here for the first time ever to see the Hawks vs 76ers back in January. Presentation is amazing for this place, but word of warning I got free tickets to club level seats, and while being there was amazing the food..........................................the food...........well anyways everything was great.People that waited on us very kind, and very funny, and the initial woman that showed us where we needed to go and gave us free shirts I definitely wish to thank her.Hopefully Ill go back soon, but just beware the free food its........anyways its something.
Went here for a hawks game vs the heat and my girlfriend and I had a fantastic time! They have done a lot of renovations in the past few years that have really brought this place to life! I would recommend to definitely go here for a game or concert. I also saw Travis Scott here in 2019 and had an amazing time.
This arena is truly amazing! Not only it is huge but it is also is beautiful, well planned and very nicely decorated. The food court is very nice, the variety of places to go get food during or before the show starts is vast. A lot of restrooms that are modern and nicely maintained. Many lounging areas with nice furniture to talk with friends and catch a break. The arena itself where the shows take place is enormous.!! I was on the last section waaaayyyy up and it was scary how night that was. I almost got my vertigo going... The view of the whole arena was impressive indeed! What a place. The acoustics were ok, but being so high up there one cannot ever truly appreciate the good sound, or even see the artists. However, it was quite the experience. I saw the Marc Anthony concert here in Atlanta and it was worth every minute! Liked the venue, used Marta to get right to the front entrance without any trouble, and enjoyed the entire experience. Highly recommend.
This is a top notch facility! The most impressive part is the quality of the staff throughout the facility. We were there for a Carrie Underwood concert with a meet and greet and lagged behind because my wife has physical challenges. Along came Kieanna, probably butchered the spelling, who got us where we needed to go with a smile. Our thanks to her cannot be overstated. All interactions with the rest of the facility staff we excellent as well. They all had a smile, which were completely genuine, and really care about your experience. The facility was beautiful and a great place to attend a concert or anything else.
The negitive first. The Parking in front is $50.00I paid $30.00 for parking. After the Venues some parking lots drop the prices down. In some places as low as $5.00. Theres a lot of Panhandling going on. I saw a woman with 3 children in front of the arena. Some children banging on plastic containers. Singers and guys selling Bud light cans of beer for $5.00.The noise and the Panhandlers were a big turn off for me. Add that to the rerouting of traffic it was a mess. It was Saint Patricks day and So me Indian festival and TheQueens of hip hop concert. All going on at the same time. Too much. If you dont like crowds and parking problems take a cab.Now as for the Arena. The staff was great. Tbe service was great. The food is very expensive. For example a flat bread pizza and a beer was $23.00. One single drink is $12.00 and double $20.00. I usually bYOB I advise you to do the same. I think the drinkers know what I mean.. There are scanners and you have to pass your bags through the scanners. But real Old school College drinkers know how to BYOBOk. So Jack Daniels and Heradura Tequila has the monopoly on the arena for drinks. I like both brands very much so this was just fine with me.The bathrooms are unisex but were very clean. The inside seating was very nice. Its a nice size Arena. Its not MSG but it nice. The police were polite and doing a great job with redirecting traffic and people. Theres plenty of places to eat and drink and its very trendy.
Located in the heart of Atlanta, State Farm arena is home of the Atlanta Hawks. The arena is very nice. Once you walk in you can go to the merchandise store or buy food at many places . It’s something that is very nice to experience . The food is ok . The drinks are pricey and small but the experience of the basketball game and everything is great.
Saw a hawks game here recently they won surprisingly! Haha but overall great experience. Concession personal very friendly and outgoing. Great selection of food and alcoholic beverages. A lot of entertainment throughout the game. DJ is always hyping the crowd which was really neat. The renovations looked great as well.
Work wise many of us are going to need a pay raise to continue working here or come back with the mandatory covid tests and especially the vaccine.Another con is:I want to eat the good food in the arena sometimes not the nasty food options and snacks for workers lol.Pro: Still a great place to work and very nice arena I love some of the events here.
Really loved our experience during the Hawks Vs. Pistons Game. Loved the Harrahs Casino Lounge area! Def made the game more enjoyable offering foods outside the normal expected concession options! Loved the parking location to the Arena. Rained, but we didnt get wet or need an umbrella as there was a covered walkway from the garage to the entrance. Only downside would be the traffic to get into the garage. A sign prior to the entrance would have been nice and prevented us from having to vote past it and loop back around to it with all the event traffic which took us approximately 25 extra minutes.
This by far is the worse place to go see a concert because I paid 170 dollars for concert tickets and these people have no view for people in attendance that sit up in the balcony area, all that money they are making they need to add some screens up high enough in the balcony area so people can see and enjoy the concerts as well… just horrible… I will never purchase another concert there ever again.
The State Farm Arena is top of the art entertainment center. While its the home of the mighty Atlanta Hawks, it also serves as a concert venue. And what a venue it is. With food and drink stands all around in every floor, and very efficient and helpful workstaff, it just is a pleasant experience all around.Food and beverage prices might be a little expensive. Beware.
Went here on January 2, 2022 to see the laugh festival tour with Eddie griffin, earthquake, dl hughley and Cedric the entertainer. Loved the show!Absolutely hated the floor seats. We paid the most and we’re the most uncomfortable. Next time I will be buying a stand ticket. They had these tiny, hard, plastic fold out chairs on the floor. Unacceptable. The bar and food options were ok. Parking was expensive.
Went to see Post Malone, birthday for my boys. Had a great time. Not just the concert, but everything was great. Food wasnt so overpriced that you have to mortgage your house for a coke. Everyone was helpful and very polite. I have been going to concerts since the omni was there( or close) much better set up. Love the refills on cokes ( for the kids) Heck of a lot cheaper than a Braves game. Had a wonderful time. Cant wait till we go back soon.
I love this arena. Came here for a game and we got floor seats. You can drive to the arena because their is plenty of parking garages. There are designated ride sharing locations for pick up and drop off. The MARTA runs here. So this place makes it easy to get here. This place has a large amount of bars and eateries. The prices are very affordable. This makes it easy to bring the entire family. The DJ has great skills. Waka Flocka even performed during a time out.
I have seen basketball games and the circus here. It is decent and the food choices are really great - Buckhead Life restaurants. The flatbread pizza is worth every penny. But, as a whole, it is dated. It will do well to have the proposed facelift to keep up with Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Suntrust Park.
Theres not really a bad seat in the house because the stadium is so vertical. Even if youre in the nose bleeds youre not that far away. Theres plenty of parking near the stadium, most of it is $20. Good and beverage inside the arena is expensive, as is typical. Traffic gets very congested because there is not very good ingress or egress no matter where youre coming from. Go Hawks!
Great NBA venue, like all the rest of NBA stadiums has the same atmosphere and shows between time outs, prices are good and since Hawks don’t classify are really cheap, food is price accordingly to other stadiums, and parking is also cheap, a lot of interesting places around to see before attending
This place is huge. Traffic was terrible, and making it to my seat on time was a challenge. The floor seating is flat, so seeing was difficult. It wasnt worth the money, unless you are in the first section. Between traffic in that area and metal detectors, I would recommend arriving early. I was so stressed by the time I reached my seat, it took some time to relax before I could enjoy the concert. However, Elton John is AWESOME!
The concessions was beyond expensive for no reason. Me and my children saw Disney on ice. It cost me $28 for 2 plain pretzels ( that are a thousand times better at the mall) and 2 bottled (20oz) cokes. Parking was aggravating. The parking signs were small and useless during the heavy traffic. After 30 minutes of trying to find the premium parking a nice officer help me. In a city that already has horrible roads they should have better signs for people who are unfamiliar with the area.We had box seats so this made up for the over priced food. The kitchen area and restroom was well kept also. So an overall ok experience.
Had the opportunity to catch a quick game back in early February. I enjoyed most of the renovations. There were lots of amazing staff and great eateries. Some with unique and bold flavors others over simplified, but all great and simple pricing. Some of the line flows are a little clumsy for my taste but there was great staff to accommodate and make transactions speedy and pleasant. The game and fan experience has definitely improved over the year with classic and new elements all together. Can’t wait to experience more games, concerts, and events here! Let’s Go Hawks!!!
We got last minute tickets to our first Elite 8 Mens basketball tournament - 4 rows from the top and had no problem seeing any part of the game. Great venue for a basketball game. Congratulations to Loyala University Chicago! Security was thorough and efficient, which we appreciate because of running behind schedule. Great assistance by staff getting us to our seats.
Went there for Festival of Laughs with hubby for days nite. Started on time and the show was great!! Being that this was our first time; we were surprised that we didnt run into problems. Checking in went smoothly and we were allowed to enter exactly at 7pm. We ordered some drinks and some food. Then the show began. We had a great time. Would we go there again? Yes, we would! Hope this helps. Blessings on
Do not take a wallet or purse period to this arena. I looked up the bag policy before I left and it states bags under 12 to 14 inches, does not state that they need to be clear. Ladies, if you feel you must take a bag, do a clear one below that amount (small, clear, clear clutch,) and bring $ 10 extra in cash for baggage check and be prepared to stand in line for bags as they don’t appear to evenly discriminate when it comes to bags. While this could have been the artist’s specifications, it should be communicated on their website. If it is, it’s in small print or hard to find. They were allowing men to carry wallets, but not women. My main issue is the clear communication piece ahead of time as I looked up the rules and felt baggage check was a money maker for people who did look on the website ahead of time and tried to be prepared. Overall, this venue is clean and the sound for concerts is great. Their food operators and seat hosts are nice and polite. Some, but not all, of the baggage check and security officers not so much even though I was polite to them. I understand the need for security and I am okay with adhering to the policy, but read the rules and transferred bags and even requested my passenger return home and transfer hers to the appropriate size so that we would be okay and we still weren’t. Some people were saying they had to throw away their wallets. Just be prepared by putting your needed cards in your pocket or carrying that small, clear, clutch. Don’t wait in the line outside, walk through CNN and use the gates at back of food court to enter the arena. You can eat cheaply at food court at CNN; or go to Hudson Grille or McCormick and Shmicks prior to your event if you want to sit down and have a nice meal. If you get there early you can park for $20 in a lot right behind to Hudson Grille and across the street from the arena and is very close.
Went here for the 2018 Queens of Hip Hop Tour which was an awesome concert btw. Totally not what I expected though for the arena. The seats are so uncomfortable and ratchet. If the people seated behind me were actually sitting, I was unable to because their knees wouldnt allow my seat to fold down. This seemed to be a problem throughout the whole of the arena in my section.
So, State Farm Arena is a beautiful arena and there’s no denying that it’s got many amenities. Many different food options, albeit they are fairly pricey. The only thing that is really not fun is the fact that the seats are very very small and cramped. It’s more comfortable to stand and watch the game. I always have a great time when I go though! Also, go Hawks!
Easy to access via MARTA, not a bad seat in the house (from where Ive been) - drinks & food are pricier than they are at Mercedes Benz, but average for a venue of this type. Great sound, helpful staff, and always a fun time! Photo is from the BSB DNA tour last month.
We were welcomed and greeted multiple times at the ticket check, and while inside the arena. We were there for a Disney show and, having been to Disney world several times, I truly compared this to the level of service you get at Disney. It was unexpected for an arena event and Ive been to lots of concerts. I even mentioned to the others that were with me how nice everyone in the venue was. They even did the Disney farewell wave when you left with staff lined up waving by (but really pointing you in the direction you need to go). We really enjoyed our experience. The only downside was finding our way inside since we walked from a nearby hotel. Luckily we found some folks who pointed us to the CNN food court. It was convenient as there was an entrance to the arena right in the food court we used after we ate.
Great venue is even better. New modifications/upgrades include new seats, countless eating and refreshment establishments and even a barber shop. Jumbotron and sound system are exceptional. Fan friendly prices and excellent staff make the Hawks games a pleasure. Come join us!!!
Very nice arena. Easy to navigate and had an abundance of parking options available.Food can be pricey, but standard fees compared to similar venues. Overall, I enjoyed experiencing the NCAA Mens Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight event.Phillips Arena staff were professional and welcoming. Nice job!
Came here for the Travis Scott concert and it’s a good venue for a concert and clean but leaving the concert was miserable. It was jammed packed and you were unable to move walking through the concourses. Then after making it into the main lobby, the employees for some unknown reason had most of the stairs blocked with only one set open which caused a huge bottle neck and made very difficult to get out of the place.
When attending any event, the first opportunity walking from park to enter is CNN center. Staff said ok to wait in line now 90 minutes. CNN closed entrance after 30 people. Staff says not their control. Summary, only use State Farm entrances and respectfully ignore staff stating they know whats going on. Staff Announcing sold out event, strange staff unprepared. Hate this for patrons in line and angry. Now 2 hours in line, larger patrons pushing out rest of us. Not safe. No security in sight. Security left to avoid anger.
Great energy inside for a Hawks game even though they are down this year. Helpful employees in team store and at concession stands.Only criticism is hard to find seats because some sections arent labeled well and employees around entrances to sections werent real helpful.
This is a nice venue. However it would be better if it was maintained a bit better. The bathrooms are pretty ragedy and they dont make good use of the hallway space. There should be more bars and gift shops spread throughout. But I do love that its so close to Marta. One thing to be mindful of is when leaving the arena after a late game. There are lots of homeless people in the food court so youll want to monitor your surroundings.
One of the best NBA arenas! Very hospitable venue to watch basketball games and enjoy snacks. I watched the Atlanta Hawks narrowly beat the New Orleans Pelicans. It was one of Atlanta’s coldest night of the year, the roads were filled with snow and dangerous for drivers - hence the arena was half empty (images), but it was rocking inside.
This is a pretty great venue for larger concerts. I went to see Bon Jovi and had an amazing time! The sound system was fantastic and it was cool to see all of the camera work in action. The reason I give it four stars is the parking deck situation can be quite confusing to those who dont go regularly. You will definitely want to look up directions and get an idea of where youre going before hand.
If you are an above average size person the seating is horrible. Im 6ft6in 220lbs, with that being said my brother and I visited for UFC 236. We were seated in the lower part of the arena right above the floor. You cannot sit comfortably without touching the people next to you.
*The Holiday RNB CONCERT!.. Let me start by saying the concert as a whole was dope last nite! The whole line up EXCLUDING: Jacquees and the fact Tiny &’ KANDI wasn’t there was .. umm .. yeah 🙄! Silk, Ginuwine, Bell Biv DeVoe, Monica of course And Tevin Campbell ( The Golden Voice ) all did work. All these newer artist y’all better take notes from THE VETERANS cause they PERFORM unlike what y’all do today. I’m ending it with this .. RNB Concerts > RAP Concerts 🎶‼️💯
HUGE SHOUTOUT to a staff member named Daria Robinson. I went last Sunday for the Maverick City concert and someone took our seats (rude). However, Daria was extremely attentive and she accommodate us. Thank you so much for your assistance and for making our night. Definitely an example of an outstanding costumer service! Also, honestly, ALL THE STAFF at the arena is amazing. Super welcoming and nice, but I had to shoutout Daria for such a move! Thank you again! She made our night!
Love love loved it😋 I got to see Lana del rey and Kali uchis ! The show was awesome! Staff was polite! And the bathroom was clean and so was the venue. Only problem was the lines but lines are annoying everywhere but if you had a ticket for the ground you had to get an extra line so if you wait outside for hours to get in line for front row you will have to go through another line so be prepared and I watch people that were in line for hours end up not getting in the front row because they didnt know where to go for the extra wristband for the ground floor area I fortunately found out where to go and I got front-row and it was awesome and its wheelchair-accessible a woman was in a wheelchair and the crowd was pushing up against her and the staff asked her if she would like to go somewhere comfortable and they put her into a spot that was free of people pushing her and she got to be on the side of the stage so that was very nice! 😸
The game was good, the view was cool. However I would highly recommend finding farther out parking decks. We parked at the arena parking deck (Saphire) across the street from CNN & the State Farm arena. Seemed friendly and trustworthy. Valet name was Miguel, he seemed iffy but we were already late to the game so we didn’t think much of it as we let him park the car. We got back to the car as we were leaving Atlanta my boyfriend noticed our rent money was missing. DONT TRUST VALET PARKING, IF NOT NECESSARY.
My son and I attended the NBA 2021 Draft Party on Thursday. The arena remodel is impressive. The attendants are top of the line. I purchased food/beverage items from Anticos, Gios Grill and HW Market Ritas. Everything was delicious and the service was even better. When I asked Sherita at Anticos where the ice cream was being sold, she solicited her co-worker Mary to assist. Mary attempted to explain but resorted to escorting me to HW Market Ritas (which was a good little hike). She waited a moment and got me back to where I was able to navigate to my seat. I wish I had some cash so I could have tipped to reflect my appreciation of all the wonderful service received. Great job State Farm Arena...youve hired some of the best!
Round of applause for the Covid precautions!!!! I was nervous to go to a game but the game day questionnaire and mask mandate made it as safe as possible. Limited capacity to ensure no one was anywhere near us and masks had to be worn at all times....AND THEY DEFINITELY ENFORCED IT! Food and drinks were pretty good too. If they keep this protocol up, I’d come back.
Really enjoyed myself here recently. The venue was clean (even the restrooms🤗) and easy to maneuver. The staff was wonderful. One in particular, Stephanie Turner, was the absolutely best! She was very accommodating, friendly, upbeat, and patient. Thank you State Farm Arena for going over and beyond to make your patrons feel welcome!
Its crazy all the rules this place has now. Such a nice venue structurally. But the second floor shuts down food way earlier than the concert is over. Then the first floor directs you to which elevator or escalator you can take. It really takes away from the free liberating concert experience.
Wow! What a change since Ive been to this arena. They have incorporated lots of Atlanta vibes throughout the building, in the art and the naming of the food stands. The venue was clean and had plenty of restrooms and food/drink options. #AmenSeating: It was really comfortable. Probably the most cushion I ever experience in a venue of the same caliber. Well maintained too!The sound was also great, but that partial depends on the artist that is performing.Great place to see a show!
Second Hawks game last night Ive been to and the ushers were super helpful in helping us get to our seats. They greeted us pretty much as soon as we walked through the gates! Very very professional and the new renovations look very nice! Great atmosphere and I almost caught a shirt this time lol
I thought it was a very clean, modern facility. I went to see Tool so the experience was epic and the sounds was amazing. Coming out of the arena drunk and tripping, the walk through Olympic park was amazing, downtown Atlanta was not nearly as intimidating as I would have expected in the middle of the night in a stupor

2022-01-31My husband and I receive clubhouse vip tickets to attend the local games. The food is always hit and miss. For the price the food should be amazing every game. The games are very exciting but we look the good and free drinks. Lately the food selections hasn’t been very tasty.

2021-11-07Thank you for hosting Twenty-One Pilots!!! This was such a great concert experience. Your staff were EXCEPTIONAL at customer service except for one thing - please make sure they understand where all the parking areas are. I estimate at least 8-9 people misdirected us to the Diamond Deck. Other than that, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! And oh my gosh, having everyone lined up clapping and waving to us as we walked out and offering to walk us to our destination. What even is that?!? That is so beyond. You understand customer service very well!

2022-03-15Me and my husband visited this arena for a comedy show given by Gabriel Iglesias. It was a really big arena considering what we came for! It had nice seating and really cool views of the act. Gabriel was amazing and gave us all a longer than planned show. Though, with him doing that, the staff was no longer friendly. At the end of his show, which was about an hour later than planned, I wanted to go buy some merchandise. However, once I came across a worker to ask about the merchandise, the worker rudely dismissed me and told me to leave because it is later than they were supposed to be working. I understand the irritation for the workers of this arena on this night, but it was very rude of them to not allow me to buy merchandise just because the show had went over time.December 3, 2021

2021-11-06Great arena, but you have to plan ahead. The way the roads are connected and two-way traffic in front of the arena is trouble. Great food vendors. Seats are really nice. The club lounge is great. Great experience. Watched Erykah Badu Saturday night and Wizards on Monday night.

2021-10-29I got to see Harry Styles in concert here and loved the experience! It was a very clean environment and the staff and crew were very welcoming and kind. The restrooms were spacious and clean, and the food was very affordable for the show I was at. $2 for bottled water, $4 for a slice of pizza. Overall a great experience :)
