A horrible experience! The shower has no hot water and since I been here I killed at least 4 roaches and the cabinet door under the sink doesnt close all the way and the hotel itself looks too old! Also by the bed there are blood stains on the wall and at the corner the paint looks terrible. After this stay I will not come back here.
The pictures online really need to be updated because I was in room 215 with no cooking utensils or a microwave. I brought my own cooking grill. The room was the worst. Roaches everywhere especially in the kitchen I had to re clean everything with bleach. The floors in the bathroom was cracked, roaches was coming out of the headboard. Me personally it’s not a good place for kids if you are looking for an extended stay. I paid for 3 nights and the total was 288 and some change plus a 50 dollar deposit. If I knew my children and I would’ve been staying with roaches and and awful smell when turning on the heat or ac I wouldn’t have paid that at all. Do better!!! Oh and the guy up front act like he couldn’t compare my signature on my driver’s license to the paper I signed for my deposit.
*Read this review *Please do not stay here — there’s no housekeeping that’s why they only clean the rooms once every two weeks. Roach infestation in EVERY ROOM. Staff is nasty. No hot water. Kitchen is rusted. Hallways smell. Homeless people sleep in the stairwell.Sleep in your car before staying here!
Positive: I liked the location its in a nice area and close to everything. Negative: At check in the associate never smiled never welcomed us to the hotel. Ceiling on 1st floor had mold all down the hallway. Room had no hot water and wifi only worked 1 day. No pots in room to cook. Homeless people roaming hallways. Side door broke.
The staff is rude. U pay almost 400 a week for a hotel filled with roaches. If u are maybe 1hr late paying they make u pay 30 late few then make u pay a deposit if u pay cash. This place is terrible. I wouldnt recommend staying here if you dont want roaches crawling all around
Check in was easy, even when I requested another night last minute. The room is pretty spacious but for a queen size bed, it was small. The kitchen is small but efficient and comes with a few cooking utensils. There were a few bugs in the room but nothing too alarming. All in all you get what you pay for and i would probablu stay again in the future as long as no issues came about. Also must say the other occupants have been very friendly. Almost like a neighborhood.
This APPEARS convenient, but not only are they infested with roaches and pest... during my shower at 3am my entire room floor and closet flooded from the water drain system. All of our belongings were damaged and drowned, our chargers were wet and some of my professional tattoo equipment was ruined!!!! When I went to complain about the inconveniences to the manager, the employees called the manager and he canceled his shift. They were beyond rude. The front desk employee was also disrespectful and maintenance also called to cancel their shifts. They threatened to call police authorities because we consistently asked to speak with a manager about our ruined belongings. My boyfriend paid through hotwire which is a third party transaction so they refused our refund and discount, then told us of they have no reciept tracking our payment. This is absolutely DISGUSTING, DISAPPOINTING and a waste of $188.... I paid for 3 nights & only stayed one!!! There was no refund, no discount and a large amount of rudeness. Im overly unsatisfied!!!!!
During my stay here at the Suburban Extended Stay Hotel the Staff is Very Rude and Unprofessional. No where in their Policy does it state that I would be Evicted for being Late more than 3 Times, but I am being Evicted. I work everyday and do not always get back to pay before 12 but the Room does get paid for regardless of being late. There are Roaches everywhere. Will be filing a Complaint with Cobb County against this Hotel..
Smelled of mold, heat / AC did not work. Had hot water one time in almost three weeks of staying here and that was 3:30am. Room did not lock and you could access it without using a key- simply walk up to my room, turn the knob and open the door. I could not leave any thing of value in my room when I left I was always coming and going with bags of belongings. Elevator did not work, and sink leaked. I said something to staff the very first day or two after I arrived and nothing was ever done, and apparently I was told no work order was put in. It was quiet here however considering all the vehicles and traffic.. and always Sherrifs outside Friday to Sunday nights for safety. Never again.
Ive only been here a couple of days, but I love it so far. The front desk was fast and efficient. The room rate is exceptional. The room gives me more of a studio apartment feel. The kitchen is really small. I wish I had a full size fridge. I plan on being here awhile..so I picked a great, inexpensive spot.....well...I have an emotional support animal..she alerts me when people are at the door..or if someone is aggressively approaching me..now mind you..shes 2lbs...she alerts me by batking..well..the maintenance man knocked on door as manager was passing...manager proceeded to kick me out because my dog barked at the maintenance man who knocked on my door...so I must change my 5 to a 1...
Firstly, I was given room 103 and when I walked in there was a man inside. It was already his room. That was terrifying.Secondly, if you want to use the WiFi, don’t come here. Out of the 37 hotels I have stayed in this year alone, this is by far the worst in regards to accessibility. I had to cancel both of my video calls because the WiFi was so slow it would not load a page. The room is decent, not really a kitchen but there is a sink by the microwave. The shower never gets above lukewarm. These are things to consider in advance.
We got there 15 min before closing. There was a roach in bathroom upon our arrival. Since it was already 9:00 p.m. , the manager, who checked us in, wouldnt do anything about it claiming maintenance wont be in until morning. I insisted the room be sprayed that night. He said hed handle it even if he had to go buy a can of spray. Midnight came around. Still no spray. When I called the after hours number she wouldnt help either. Morning came. Still the situation was neglected. Still no spray. My husband saw 2 more roaches in the bathroom. Also, the chairs were nasty with some spills on them that were never tended to. The upkeep of the bathroom needs help too. We checked out that morning. When I complained & asked to speak to the owner, she claimed he was not in yet & Id have to call back later to discuss. No compensation of any sort for what we had to endure. Had we not traveled for 6-7 hrs & had known the area we wouldnt have even stayed that night.
The Suburban Extended is a great location for anyone traveling, for locals, etc.Our Studio apartment room is spacious for 2 people; however, the kitchenette is tight quarters.Due to a shortage of staff, we werent able to receive adequate cleaning services, and had to request clean towels. Luckily we had our own towels as a back up.The elevator intermittently works and their house rules are inconsistently followed.
PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Its literally full of ROACHES... we stayed one night out of the 7 nights we booked(definitely got it refunded) me and my fiancee could barely sleep because we just kept waking up feeling like something was gonna crawl on us or our son... and not to mention how badly it smelled of mold.. the shower curtain rod was broken so the curtain wouldnt stay shut at all and the vent probably hasnt been dusted since the place opened.. they dont allow pets for some odd reason lol. Lets not forget our lovely upstairs neighbors jumping and stomping ALL day and ALL night. I tried to complain about that and I was told nobody was in that room. Ok! Mustve been a ghost. The hallways are nasty and its just not taken care of at all!!! RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
This place is not bad...We reserved online called to confirm and they gave me a better price than booking.comThe fridge kept things cold the freezer part is really small. The rooms are updated, I wish they would updated the kitchen, wifi is not that great but its something you can deal with. The housekeeping is once every 2 weeks (Im glad I brought my own towels) The laundry room was OK (,some of the W/D didnt work). It is family friendly. The area has alot of food choices and there is a Walmart down the street. We would of stayed longer but after 2 weeks the rate went up almost $100 more.
In my room I had two soft spots in the floor and Roches my room did it have a lot of Roches but there was more then enough to know they was there. And the first night me and my girlfriend was taking a shower and out of the blue the speckled on the roof came down and there was peaces on the floor on the toilet even in the shower with us. We had to wash all the little peace off us and in our hair. And when I called down stairs no answer. I had to wait until the next day before I was able to get someone on the phone. Then house keeping shows up and sweeps the peace up and tossed them away. House keeping then told me she would come in the day I check out to respackle the roof. I felt that problem could have been handled differently. They different even offer to change my room or anything.
Not satisfied at all with my experience. No blankets with you’re bed but a bedsheet with markings on the bottom. Reason I say price is not a good value is because the condition of the room/showers would not qualify for this price considering other hotels with the same price and condition of the rooms. They also put families with bunch of kids on any floor most of them being on second and third floor and the children are out of control. They are left roaming the hallways after 10pm. I will not be recommending the hotel to any one. The Mgr Becky is also extremely rude and yells at guests on the hallway instead of talking to them privately and in a respectful manner. She has no respect whatsoever for customers whether you are platinum or diamond which should matter to any hotel because they are spending their dollar here. It seems like Choice hotel or the hotel itself tells her to be rude and nasty to guests. Everyday she’s yelling and getting into arguments with guests. I’ll never stay here again.
Was not happy with the stay at all. Room had a horrible smell and we told the front desk. They said they would check it and never did. The bathroom was very nasty. We bought cleaners to clean it. We asked for towels and they said we had to bring the ones in the room to the front desk because they only do laundry every 14 days
My stay an my children in myself stay have been absolutely amazing here at the suburban they have catered to our knees they are very friendly and they always try to help they take care of their guests and I love everything about them they work with any and everyone. I would most definitely recommend the suburban to anyone who I come across because anyone is looking for good quality stay and you can definitely get it from here thank you to the suburban extended stay
If I could give negative stars I would. We found bugs in our room and yes it was 1 am but they were everywhere. We called the front had to wait 45 min until we actually talked to the manager of the hotel who then said she couldn’t do anything and we had to wait until morning. She wanted us to sleep in our room full of bugs. We asked for a partial refund and to get a different room. She told us fine get your stuff down her and I’ll give you a refund we continued to say we still need a room and she said “no you will come down here get a refund and leave” we got our stuff and we got the rest of the unstayed nights refunded. She was extremely disrespectful and had the attitude of a child. The customer service and the and quality of this hotel was more than words can describe. DO NOT stay here. You will regret it.
If you want to feel safe, there is a police officer on duty at night but the property itself is in horrible condition and the staff members are rude unless you speak spanish. The bed is very uncomfortable and was told no animals are alliwed on the property ended up using benadryl the entire trip after my allergies started acting up. If this would be a last minute option than I would suggest you to keep looking at other places
I booked this hotel and the lady at the suburban hotel front desk was difficult and couldn’t find the reservation. Instead of being good to me because I had proof on my phone and a email stating my confirmation, she charged me a different price which was $20 more expensive. She made me pay out of pocket right then or there or I wasn’t getting a room. On top of that it was 6 o clock and they only had one room available. They were vacant just dirty. The room she gave me had dirty dishes and the microwave is fully rusted on the inside. On top of everything else the pool is slightly disgusting and it’s open. The bathroom doors do not lock either. Worse extend a stay. I would like to receive my cancellation fee back or not be charged extra for them not having common courtesy.
It was an okay stay for one night! Check-in was super easy and the lady at the front was so nice! It was surprisingly quiet at night, the room was decent and the tiny stove range was nice, but there were roaches in the bathroom and lots of damage to the floors/walls. I paid around $65 for the night.
Worst mistake of my life. Read this review. It was full of roaches on the walls, floor, bathroom, also had sticky surfaces and hideous smell. We had to try to sleep with our shoes, clothes, and lights on and of course we didn’t even use the sheets. The AC was old and the smell was a combination of humidity, feet, sweat and tobacco, it was disgusting. It was a shock to open up the room’s door and being welcomed by roaches, but stayed because it was really late and we were tired. I had booked one week and cancelled it first thing in the morning. I can’t believe this is part of the Choice Hotels chain, those conditions are not hygienic and more than that, it is a health hazard.
Horrible, not clean, staff is extremely rude and overall the safety was deplorable. Rooms on a one time every two week cleaning schedule. Was only able to get a set of new clean towels every 2 weeks and were only given two sets. Refused no matter what...had to launder our own towels.
The room was ok but the manager Becky was extremely rude and disrespectful. Treated my fiance and I like we were criminals and hoodlums. We were treated so mean for no reason and Gave her nothing but respect respect.its so sad that even as a paying customer your treated so badly because someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I do not recommend anyone coming and being treated like that.
1st floor is supposed to be non-smoking room - the smell of smoke was so intense in my room I had a headache within 30 minutes of arriving. Went to front desk for another room, they stated nothing available for a couple more days. I then asked for some air freshener or something to help, they said maintenance was gone for the day and would send someone first thing in the am. Went to Walmart and purchased a candle and air freshener. Then at 9 pm, I noticed a roach on the counter. Killed it. Went to front desk again, and as attendant was heading out the door for the night, she states same as earlier - maintenance... I would have left, but it was too late and too tired. Slept (somewhat) with all the lights on in hopes no more roaches appeared. Stay away from this place! I put up with a lot in hotels, but this was more than I could handle. GROSS!!! I was supposed to stay 5 nights, but 1 was 1 too many!
It’s perfect for a transition step, trying to find places to rent from 1200 miles away was impossible, if it was a bit cheaper and had better internet I’d probably stay for a bit longer rather than lose more money to rental agents who have been grabbing application fees and not even running a credit report.
Room smells weird, there’s lots of bugs all over, and if u try to leave or get a refund, u just end up paying more!! Staying here just makes me want to go back home, it’s not a comfortable stay, it feels dirty. There’s screaming across the halls, can hear people running outside, and the kitchen is so small.
If you love sleeping with roaches this is the motel for you! Dont worry about solving the issue because front desk will just ask maintenance to come spray the room with all your belongings still there! NOT in kennesaw baby. I wish them the best of luck with the growing hotel competition in the area!
I knew what to expect for an extended stay. The stairwells were neglected and dirty.Pool was unusable (green)The materials used during the original construction are hard to keep up with the wear and tear of constant use. The seat cushions for the dinette set needs replacing. (Dirty)The kitchen Cabinetry need light repair. Some tile areas need repair. The ice machine was fantastic.Laundry room was great. The front desk service was excellent. You have quality employees that made me feel comfortable to continue may stay.My son (age 15) tolerated it but would never want to stay there again. I got what I paid for and I appreciate that there was an option to sleep somewhere for that price. We were on a low budget staying in the area for a baseball tournament.
Wow, ran out of tissue, she said they weren’t providing any nor any room service. They only service the rooms 1 time every two weeks. That’s nasty af. They could eat least give and refresh the towels. Would never! Also, someone had a loose pit bull in the hallway on the first floor. Was a nightmare. Halls and walls dirty. Everything in the bathroom was rusted.
Upon arriving in my room I immediately noticed roaches in my room. Becky was really good to me and my boyfriend she helped out ALOT something she didnt have to do. The guy at the front desk was very nasty to me he needs to be fired. The walls are thin I could hear my neighbors every night doing the do and cussing loudly on the phone.the water never got hot enough to shower before work. They always had the water shut off. I would not recommend this 🏨 hotel.
This place is so nasty. The carpet was so disgusting starting as you leave the front lobby and head towards the rooms. Plus there was what looked like content from a sauce packet splattered on the hallway wall and dirt on the wall of the restroom in our room. And the pool is about half the size of a regular hotel pool. Plus the pool closes at 8. But I dont even understand how this place stays open. It is most definitely not worth the $80 after fees. I wouldnt even want to stay here if the price was $60 after fees. How has the health department not shut this place down yet? Im completely flabbergasted.
For what I payed I got more than my moneys worth. My room seemed to have been remodeled somewhat recently, the range was almost brand new it seemed and the floor looked recently redone. The mini fridge seemed a little dated but worked perfectly, the prior guest had turned it all the way up and I found my eggs were frozen in the morning. The staff I interacted with were friendly and attentive although I didnt have much outside of checking in/out. I did not expect the wifi to be as good as it was, I got up to 10Mbps download speed and it averaged around 7.5.The only thing that was unpleasant with my visit was the other guests. I was unlucky enough to have a loud family a few rooms down from me. I woke up more than once to kids and their mother screaming. past midnight. The walls are pretty thin.Overall the positives far outweighed the negatives for me. The location is great, the price is good and the amenities more than equal the price you pay. I would lodge here again gladly.
The place has roaches. And the sink in the bathroom was messed up so I went to ask for another room. When I asked for another room I came back to my room key not working. When I went to the desk I was told I had to leave the next morning. The manager cut my stay short and issued me a refund. I have 2 young kids with me. I have pics of everything. I will never return. Customer service is horrible.
Absolutely disgusting. We were there for the week with our teenage son and baby for a baseball week long event. Walked in and the overwhelming smell of smoke was disgusting. The carpets were filthy , absolutely filthy and we saw several cockroaches during our walk to the room. I wanted to just see the room before we made a decision as were exhausted and it was late and were considering staying for just the night until we could regroup and find a suitable hotel the next day. The room was worse , so nasty I would never have put my child on the floor , much less got in the bed. We immediately walked back downstairs and asked for a refund and left. 5 days later we noticed a charge for $200. After numerous attempts to contact someone we finally spoke with someone and were told a $200 fee was charged because the room smelled of smoke. Are they kidding me ? The entire establishment reeked of smoke!! We were not in the room for 1 minute even and I was carrying my baby the entire time. On top of it my husband nor I smoke , hence us wanted to leave because the entire smell of it was putrid. 100% fraudulent activity happening here!!!!
Close to walmart and mall. But infested with roaches. Staff is rude and threatened to kick me out if I asked for anything else because she asleep in another room. They ALL have an attitude. I feel very unsafe outside of my room. Man kept trying to get alone with me on the elevator and staff told me it wasnt their problem. price is decent is youre broke and desperate. Carpets have not been cleaned since they opened. The carpet is literally black from dirt. This place pretty much sucks, but its a bed to sleep in I guess
The Staff was great both at check in and out. I felt safe the entire time I was there and didnt have any problem sleeping. My Business meeting went off great and I was even offered a late check out however I was on a schedule and didnt need it. My thanks to Becky the GM and Billy both treated me like family.Craig Alan Twitty
Just gonna say they need some nicer staff. Couldnt get late check out, (2hours) even being rewards member. Wasnt worth the stay at all. There were also bugs at this location. Also hoarders staying here*** stuff stacked every where in a room I walked by. Hows this possible in this location so close to college?!?! Its gross!!!
The overall stay was better than I expected. The cleanliness of the room was excellent. The comfort was far beyond what I expected. It was cool and smelled good in the room. The hallway had a little stench but I it was only smelled when having to walked to and from the room. I didnt utilize the kitchen area or the utilizes within the kitchen, but it was clean. The extra table came in handy. The flat screen was a great addition and you could see the upgrades that were being made. The bathroom however could have been a littler cleaner and the toilet paper was very hard. I only stayed 2 days and I went to buy my own toilet paper. The floor of the bathroom needed to be mopped a lot better and the showerhead needed to replaced or cleaned. Overall though, it was great. I would stay here again or within another ChoiceHotel establishment.
My room was in the back of the hotel where there is a wooded area outside the window, when I opened the window I enjoyed hearing the many song birds. The room was clean except for the carpet, which was filthy, but the public doesnt really take care of hotel rooms, so it was understandable. I wore house slippers and put the bath mat by my bed to make sure I stepped on the clean rug when getting into and out of bed. The dishes, silverware, pot and pan were good, it would have been nice to have dish detergent. The stove and fridge worked well, there was good water pressure and the shower was very roomy.
Where do I start... Walking up to our room on the second floor my wife and I noticed a terrible aroma of smoke that is familiar with almost everyone. The carpets and walls were stained and we were debating whether there was a crime scene on our floor. Walking into our room at first glance seemed like the photos they provided, until you really take a closer look. The towels in the bathroom were permanently stained with what seemed to be fecal matter from long ago, the bed sheets and pillows were also heavily stained we had to go to the At Home store next to the hotel and purchase our own bed sheets for the week we were staying there (Thank god that store was right next door). The A/C system smelled like it was burnt and couldve broken on us at any moment of our stay. When I was done cooking for my wife, we noticed small roaches crawling up the walls in the kitchen area and the floors in restroom behind the toilet. On top of that, the hotel needs to do a better job at installing doors properly due to the fact our restroom door would not close. The Wi-Fi was very disappointing, while my wife and I are laying down on a terrible spring bed trying to enjoy our favorite tv shows on hulu, there would be a whole bunch of connection issues, therefore we would resort to sex until the internet was working again. Sometimes the internet just wouldnt work. The staff were average, some of them were nice and some were not, but Ill leave it at that. Our week was negatively impacted because the elevator was not working for almost the entirety of our stay. Especially when we had to check out and drag all of our bags down the stairs and make multiple trips. On our way out, pest control decided to knock on our door to spray the room, in my opinion thats very unprofessional for the hotel to do that. You would think to wait for the guest not to be present, however, it didnt matter to much for us only for the fact we were heading out. All in all, I wouldnt do it all over again if I had other options. My wife and I made major adjustments to the room to make it a better experience for both of us. For anyone on a budget trying to have a long stay, its decent, just make sure you buy your own sheets and towels.
Place is really bad stayed here for over a month because I having to find a apartment. Stayed on third floor there were roaches and no comforter on bed just sheets dirty carpet old bathroom. Moved to second floor same thing noisy smells like weed then the last place first floor the room was nicer comforter on bed but air conditioner unit outdated really hot at times absolutely no hot water barely even warms up. They say someone fixing but going over reviews from months pass and the same complaint. Cant wait to leave this get to hotel. Nice area but still the poorest of all the Choice hotels I have stayed in so far.
This place is nasty and unclean roaches everywhere and no one is doing anything about. The man that works here is rude. The amount they charge to stay here is way too much being that they cant afford to give fresh towels, clean the rooms as needed, fresh bedding, tissue to wipe your butt, trash bags, soap, a broom or dust pan to clean the rooms, the ceiling is all patched up from the leaks.
It was okay. Needs more soundproofing. Appliances need to be updated. Shelves and counters falling apart. Vacuumed and the bathroom was clean. Not the worse place Ive stayed in, but not close to the best either. With some improvements it would get a better review. Dona at the front desk was Outstanding though, so that employee is what saved this place from being a total dud.
I have no words to describe how disgusting this Place is. The 1st hotel we went to was absolutely horrible so we decided to come to this one.The second night we were there roaches, gross roaches. Then went into the restroom ants on the floor. Now that we had already put the luggage in the room there were roaches in my daughters handbag which got into her car which in then we brought them home with us. The 2nd night we stayed there we heard 3 gunshots and a car racing down the street right by our window in the parking lot. I told the attendant at the desk about the roaches and all her and the guy standing there did was laugh because they already new about the roaches. Pretty sad excuse for a hotel I do not suggest staying there unless you wanna bring home roaches and ants with you. Never offered any discount for the disgusting place that we stayed should of left the 1st night. Not worth the money its better just to stay in your car.
I had called this place in representation of a guest who was kicked out due to smoking in a non smoking room.when I tried asking for a fax of the copy of rules and regulations my client signed this Spanish lady told me if I was an attorney then I should know what Im supposed to do so dont call there until the gm was there and hung up...this is what we deal with when the defendant is and therefore knows they are in the wrong.its information like this that gives such joy to the case at hand and now half my job is done.thank you to the hotel management that took the call and rudely hung up on me.i love it.i no longer need to talk to gm....p.s. no need to respond to this Betty, my partner will be in touch with your corporate attorney shortly.
The staff was extremely rude. The fire department came almost every week for 4 weeks. The ceiling on the first floor was damaged during my entire stay. I room key deactivated on a daily basis. The hotel needs to have a total makeover it smells horrible. The entire staff needs to be fired they smoke cigarettes in the front of the building constantly right under the no smoking sign. The police was called at least 20 times during my staff. The reason I chose to stay a the hotel was the prime location and wanted is considered a safe neighbor however, the hotel devalues the entire neighborhood and your staff is a true representation of ineffective management and security. The customer service representatives are racist. The week my room rate has no taxes do tp my extended stay for my job they created a situation and asked me to leave the next morning and has not refunded my remaining $36.00 for my last night stay. I spent more than $3,000 at your hotel and will never recommend this chain to any of my more than 4,000 associates and business partners.
Lets just say it wasnt what I expected. No hot water, roaches, when you ask for something you were told in an abrupt voice that you cant have that service for another 14 days. I was there for 2 days, really. All staff spoke Spanish no English which was extremely difficult to communicate.
Generally the common areas of the hotel were hot (did not feel like there was air conditioning running) and smelled pretty bad. Room smelled early in the stay, but I solved that with air-fresheners. Carpets were pretty dirty throughout the hotel including in the room. I get that hotels with kitchenettes in rooms may have some bugs, but compared to other hotels Ive used, this had the most. Some areas in the rooms are very poorly lighted (ex closet) so I had to use a flashlight to find clothes in my suitcase. Staff was friendly and helpful when I dealt with them. Laundry facilities were adequate and have an above average number of washers and dryers compared to other hotels Ive stayed at... so kudos there. Generally, I was surprised at the poor cleanliness of this hotel. The hotel is in a great location, and could really benefit from a thorough cleaning.
The staff seems nice enough and the rooms were clean enough, but its dingy and most of all: the walls are SO. THIN. I keep hearing thudding footsteps upstairs every few minutes. Im not sure if they weigh a lot or what, but Ive never experienced this in any other hotel in my life. Plus when someone slams a door next to my room it rattles the walls and I can feel my bed shake. I had to move my bed a few inches from the all just so I wouldnt feel it. I can hear someone opening their window in the next room too. This all is very irritating and makes it very hard to sleep. The WiFi isnt that good either.
I found myself in a predicament where tree fell on my home... I ended up living here just under a year. Becky the manager and all the staff were great. It was safe and quite and I was able to make it feel like my own little apartment for the most part..just making the best out of my situation.however I would recommend this place to all my family and friends ❤️ Thank you suburban for giving me a home away from home❤️
We booked the room several days in advance and ON check in day they decided to call us and tell us that the room we booked was never available to begin with, and that they dont know why they let us book it to begin with. Left us struggling to find another place to stay last minute.
The hotel and staff were definitely very friendly, however the room I had was not very prepared for guests. The room did not have shampoo or soap, the air conditioner did not work right, one of the stove eyes was broken, and there was no one to answer calls past 7pm. The hotel is good for long term stays, since so many people were living there, but the noise complains not being taken care of, definitely made it a restless night.
I’m not sure who’s more disrespectful the roaches and ants or the two rude ladies I’ve dealt with at the front office! Housekeeping? Apparently they don’t exist! There’s never any tissue, clean towels. The entire building needs to be tore down and rebuilt! The dust in the vents and air unit is horrible, it’s not safe if you have children! The carpet is old and feels damp! The only thing worth using was the TV! Toilet stops up each time you try to flush it! None of the staff seemed surprised when these issues are addressed so my next question is When is something going to be done about it? Why does this place not have cameras throughout the facility? Only in the wash area, vending machine and front desk. After 11pm there is no staff available, what if something was to happen? The front desk receptionist Dona was very polite and showed hospitality.
Okay place. Rooms are nice and spacious. Room service is serious about cleaning, but dont let them tell you No speak de Engle ROSALYN!WHERE ARE U? And if U see this ugly dawg walking some type of upright mutation of a beast dont say its name...just run. But the opposite direction.👌?
Horrible and nasty. They dont advertise the roaches asked to have the room sprayed because I absolutely hate roaches and they gave me the run around for 3 of the 5 days I had paid for. I had to go purchase bug spray which was an unnecessary expense for me. The stool kept overflowing contacted front desk they said oh we have a plunger I dont work here I paid for comfort here. Housekeeping isnt very welcoming at all. They rolled eyes and acted like saying hello was against the rules. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
It says it cost $45 but after tax its about $56. Granted this is still the cheapest you can get around town aside from some motels. But, in comparison to most motels this place is luxurious. The hallways smell like smoke or are musky in most places but the rooms dont the room smells fine. The room is a little small but still cozy. It was actually better then I expected from its 2 star rating. The guy at the front desk was SUPPER nice. Shower was nice and has a small kitchen and room heater/air conditioner. They dont give you much but they do give you all the necessities. Should have 3 stars for a hotel rating if you factor in price.
I had several issues with this hotel. Upon walking in, the carpets are gross and stained. My room had a small bit of graffiti and a draft coming in from the pool area, making everything feel humid and sticky. The paint was a mess and I regularly had to kill bugs that had come into my room.
I read the reviews before coming here, so of course I was sceptical. However, I have had a very nice stay so far. The staff are all very nice and helpful. I have NOT seen any roaches as others stated in their reviews. Its the Ritz Carlton, but its clean, safe and very close to all the shopping stores at Town Center. I definitely recommend it 👍😊
This place is not suitable for guest. Roaches crawling on the walls & floors. Toilet stops up every time you flush it & when you bring it to the front desk’s attention, nothing is done about it. No housecleaning whatsoever. They would have you use the same sheets & towels for a week. I ended up leaving before my checkout time because I couldn’t stand it any longer. I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in any of the rooms in this building. I had to rate at least 1 star for this review to be accepted but this establishment isn’t worth it.
As I said earlier... When I arrived, my room was cool and had a pleasant smell. A day or so into my stay, the mini fridge quit working. I didnt need it, so it was no big deal, but I reported it to the front desk anyway. The last two days of my stay, the AC quit working. I had earlier reported the squawking noise made by the AC to the front desk, and they said they would tell maintenance. It never got fixed, so my room was rather warm for those last 2 days...at the end of May.All in all, the room served its purpose for me. I just needed a place to sleep while I was in Atlanta for my sisters wedding. The room was clean enough, and it had all the amenities I needed. Plus, it was close to where I needed to be. For the price, I cant really complain. I read the poor reviews prior to booking my stay, so I didnt expect too much.
I have been staying at this hotel for over a month now while looking for a home. I travel a lot with work so only being home Saturday and Sunday and every five week is not leaving me much room for house hunting time. I must say that most the staff is great and try to work with you on your needs. Having said that I will also say that is about the only good thing other than they will change your room if you have a issue with a room. It took us four to get one that was for one reason or another not a fit for us. I could not tell you how many times I have had to ask for clean towels, but I can say I have never ever ask and them have them when I needed them. They will give them to you five or six hours later or it has taken me two days to get them. I even brought some from storage so I could wash them myself and have them and the house keeper that only coms once a week took them and I have yet to get them back. The room has a stove top but when I ask for pots and pans they didnt have any. I had to go out and buy them in order to use the stove. I cant count the times that the cable has went out its been off for two days now and is still off. Its play offs and you cant even get whole game in without the cable going out. That has happened a lot but this time it has been out since yesterday eve and not came back on. When you say something about it there is nothing done to try and make it worth saying with them. I wish that I knew of a place that was this clothes to my bf job so that when Im at work he could still get to work. he walks I would not still be staying hear.
Guests passing through 1-2 nights are an afterthought to whomever owns this hotel. Other guests live here for a year, maybe two. They’ll roam the hallways; keep to themselves, otherwise polite. The weed smell is not overwhelming; some rooms allow smoking. No bugs, hot showers, WiFi worked fine.
I am taking the time to write this review because I believe it deserves a higher rating. Quite honestly, the room Im staying in is one of the better rooms Ive ever rented. Theres a nice little kitchenette complete with some amenities, pot/pan, various dishes, coffee pot. Theres a nice closet with hangers. A table with chairs and plenty of towels. The room was neat and clean.Sure theres some minor aging in a few spots, but the cleanliness and amenities make up for the aesthetics. The staff has been courteous and the price was fantastic. I totally recommend this place so long as youre not pretentiously OCD.
The desk clerks were outstanding, even the manager was likable however the hotel is old and rundown. I dont understand the new way they renovate, everything looks the same old stained furniture, tile falling off the wall, forest carpet in the world, 2 or 3 dryers in laundry were down in laundry my whole stay. The stars of the stay were the bold roaches that came out of wall and crawled across the TV, or the kitchenette counter while you cooked, or those on the floor rocking like its 1999. Shower curtains too short flooding floor saturating wall, early signs of black mold. Seems logic would dictate order longer curtains or lower rods. Then theres the Asst manager that tells me she doesnt care. Loved the clerks they were the best honest, caring, attentive. The assistant manager has no personality and is main reason why I left, that and having to breath big spray that empowered the roaches... I dont mention the ants in facebowl , toilet, floor and she says she doesnt care, seems the management t and ow worship doesnt either
I honestly dont know what is wrong with some of the people making negative comments on this extended stay. Ive been there twice within a year and each time was quite pleasant. Never seen a roach. Never had poor customer service. Great location. House keeping is on time every Wednesday. The only reason I gave them only 4 stars is because for the price, they should at least have free breakfast. Other than that, I actually enjoyed this hotel. Please dont make your choice based on the bad reviews you see hear.
I would give negative stars if I could. My husband and I come to town a few times a year and usually stay at the same place.. this time we wanted to try somewhere new. When we checked in we were advised we had to pay an additional $50 cash deposit, which nothing online or on my booking said anything about.. we also smelled marijuana in the lobby. We checked in and went down the hall which smelled entirely like marijuana... walked in the room and we were hit with mold/mildew old smell.. I wouldnt even take off my shoes or lay on the AWFUL bed.: the light in our room was also flickering off and on.. the room just felt extremely dirty. After a few minutes I called the front and told her I couldnt stay here due to feeling dirty and smelling marijuana.,, and she said I wouldnt stay here either if I was you she did however give us a 100% refund .. we went right up the street to the Comfort Inn, and its SO NICE and clean!! Suburban should really close down!! It was disgusting!!
Smoking double was clean and cozy. The bed was comfy, the bathroom has a large stand up shower and much appreciated piping hot water. The kitchenette came in handy for quick meals which helped save money in addition to the hotels low rate. The location is quiet so noisy neighbors were not a concern. The on site laundry was a perk and its not expensive at all compared to their competitors.
When I arrived at 9pm, the check-in desk was closed, the phone agent showed no record of my reservation, put me on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected me. I called back and was told it would be at least 30 minutes before someone would show up to try to help. When I finally got into a room, I found a notice that the water would be shut off indefinitely at 10pm.
Hello, Im back again. My first review was for when I stayed in Oct. I then have stayed here again this month Nov.Once again April DeMarco was at the Front Desk. Once again the Customer service was AWESOME!April checked me in quickly with her cool calm friendly demeanor. After going up to my room, I realized that the heat was not working. I mentioned this to April. April mentioned that she would inform the maintenance crew. Sure enough not more than 10mins went by & maintenance was at my door. The gentleman who checked it said they should be able to work on it and he will send someone back to do so. Probably not more than 10 to 15 mins later, April called my room & said I was to be moved to another room that had working heat. Yes! I moved, trust me not a problem for me at all. I then settled down and all was well.April is great!
This is my second time staying at one of your hotels in 2 weeks for business. My first visit was horrible; 3 different rooms were given to me that were dirty (the front desk clerk had know idea why the rooms were not cleaned), the 4th room provided was clean...this made checking in awful! On my second experience, the room had a bad order and there was loud noise (3rd floor) which made sleeping difficult at 3am in the morning.
Where do I start...1. Customer Service - It really depends on the individual serving you and I guess how theyre day went. When in actuality it shouldnt have any effect on the level of service provided.Examples.... I put in numerous ( six (6) to be exact ) work orders during our stay ONLY one was responded to. Roaches were in our room to the point where I had to go to the local Wal-Mart and get some spray. The bathroom shower water would not get warm only hot or cold which makes taking a shower a nightmare.2. Neatness - The overall look of the hotel is nice, but cheaply put together.3. The laundry room access is great (24 hours).4. This is a nice place just in my opinion needs to get a revamp in there customer service department.
The general manager Ms. Becky Campbell is very very rude, she talks to everyone like dogs. My brother, mother, I are going through things because of this pandemic and she told us that we had a week to get out because of a mistake SHE made, and when I tried to explain to her and show her she was wrong she wouldn’t even look at the proof that I had in my hand!!! On top of that the place is falling apart, the hot water barely works, there’s roaches everywhere, it stinks, management staff very rude I don’t see how this place is still up and running. I will NEVER be back here and I highly recommend that you don’t stay here either.
I have been a Choice Provileges Member since 2006 and have stayed at several Coice hotels. However, I have also stayed at this hotel several, several times since 2008. This stay was very bad. First, after driiving over 900 miles and arriving for check in, I was told that the hotel NO Longer accepts Dogs. Since 2010 this has been the only hotels inwhich Ive stayed. I have taken my dogs on 90% of my stays and paid the $50 fee without a problem, as recent as November 2014.However, the changes were made and not prominently displayed during online reservations. The manager did allow the dogs on this recent stay (2/12-2/17/2015). I was pleased with this decision, but when stepped into the assigned room the inter net did not work. I called the front desk the next day and spoke with an owner who gave me an 800 number to call. But, the internet never worked through my stay regardless of insurances from the owner and manager told me it would be repaired. Also, I woke up one morning to find a roach climbing up the wall. Over many years of traveling, I have never seen any roaches in hotel rooms. Finally, the door key cards stopped working properly after 3 days and stopped working the last day before check out. Also, throughout my stay a baby across the hall cried day and night. This hotel has always been my hotel of choice, but it has really gone down in service. I will probably never stay there again.
The ice maker worked maybe twice during our 3 month stay during a very hot summer.Wifi was too slow, inefficient server. Couldnt use it during certain peek periods.Washing machine broke and left my clothes in soapy water one time. Staff reimbursed us.Pool was closed during the hottest days of the summer for cleaning.Toilet plugged up. We had to get the plunger and fix it ourselves. Toilet sprung a leak but it got fixed.Room keys wouldnt hold a charge. Got locked out several times.Fire alarm went off 3-4 times in the middle of the night. We had to evacuate.Housekeeping skipped our room several times. A couple times they changed linens but didnt clean the bathroom. Two times the cleaning was excellent. Floors were never mopped. They only gave us towels for 2 people when there were 4 of us in the room. Many times there were not enough towels to go around so the staff gave us extra bath mats or hand towels to get by.Refrigerator seal came loose. It would freeze the food toward the back.Rank smell near the refrigerator. We asked housekeeping to pull the thing out and clean behind it.Roaches were everywhere. We fought them our entire stay.Wed report issues and the staff was always patient and professional...but not always able to find solutions.
Ill never attempt to stay at another one of these hotels. As a part of the Choice Hotels brand, I was extremely disappointed. The hotel quality is awful. The lobby is deceiving. The hotel staff is nice, but its the only thing this hotel has going for it. You need to demolish it and start again. The people who stay here are questionable. Its noisy. Too many things are out of service. The rooms are fairly clean, but the furnishings (other than the bed, from what I could see, because I didnt use it) are tattered and decrepit. I was unsatisfied with my room, they sent me to the 3rd - smoking - floor, after I asked for non-smoking. All I could smell was marijuana smoke up and down the halls. I checked in and within minutes checked back out. To add insult to injury, they put a hold on my credit card for a week, for a stay I never had.The sooner you get rid of this hotel from your chain, the better.
We enjoyed our stay for the most. We did kill a few small bugs, but the bed was comortable and it was nice to have a kitchen. the floor needs to be replaced. All in all I have to say it was better than some of the reviews I read before. Dishes were bare minimum for 2 people only.
The worst place to stay for a high weekly price $400 plus, living with roaches & ants, your check in & check out date fall on the same day as your cleaning of your room date believe me your out of luck, what i mean is that the trick of the process with this type of stay is truly base on your arrival and departure date. So if you arrive on Friday and check in, your schedule room cleaning service date is the same date you depart. But if you decide to stay another week you lose proper cleaning of room due to you being on the departure list each week. So if you like cleanliness, don t stay here....i promise you will regret booking a weekly room with no housekeeping service and the health of your family & children or pets maybe in danger..
Although the maid service was below par and damage visible in room it was basically clean and quiet. I think someone is making an effort to improve the hotel. It will probably take some time to do everything. For the price, I think its worth it. I paid much more at another place close by but it wasnt really that much better. I also looked at some cheaper places but the smell was too bad to stay in any of them.Would like to have had some drawers to put my clothes. The room was large enough.Front desk people were excellant.
We absolutely loved this hotel! It was so clean. Our room smelled amazing and fresh. Everything was so nice and neat. This was just right for us. Our room was fairly new looking, everything worked properly. We had a kitchenette that was plenty for my family. (With dishes provided) Laundry service, vending machines, ice machine, elevator, locked entrances after 11 pm. We felt safe the whole stay. Trey was wonderful checking us in and making sure we had anything and everything we needed. He had the utmost respect and a never ending smile. Suburban Extended Stay got an amazing employee when he was hired (hang on to him). I dont know what hotel others are rating but it CANT be this hotel. Great stay=great trip away from home! Would love to stay here again. Thanks! :)
The rooms were small and old, the house keeping service is only one a week and they never showed up to ask if I need something for the room. They don’t have free breakfast like most of other hotels have. The laundry roomis a mess, because the washers and dryers machine are damaged and out of service. I tried to wash my clothes and those machine ruined my new clothes and the dryer didn’t dry well my clothes. The night rates and weekly rates are very expensive for the attention that I received. The front desk staff close at 11:00 pm and I had to wait until next day in the morning to ask for something. I’m very disappointed about this hotel.
This place nasty. SAVE YOUR MONEY YOU WILL SLEEP BETTER IN YOUR CAR.....My room was all dirty and roaches all over the room. I talked to the lady at the front desk. She was rude! She came down the room and acted like it was not a big deal. She assigned another room to me and the second room was not dirty but it had bugs and smelly. I highly dont recommend this place. The whole place smell gross......The customer service is awful and they are dirty.
Outside is nice. The carpet through the entire hotel needs to be cleaned. I cant speak on anyone other rooms. My room was not what I expected. My suggestion would be for subcontractor, maintenance, or whomever doing the remodel or punch-out to take his/her time an pay attention to detail
The manager was rude to my husband and o from day one. She discriminated against my service dogs from day one. She found every reason to come up with pertaining to my service dogs to get us to move out. There was not one complaint she could give on us as the people staying there. Not to mention she has a dog herself but constantly tells others that they cannot have pets here. I will never recommend this place. The only good part about it was the front desk staff. The manager Becky was very unprofessional and I will be reporting her to the BBB and Choice Hotels.
At the onset no one was available to answer the phone and did not get a response until corporate was called. Night person was clearly not happy that we were arriving after 11 but his tone quickly changed when he saw we were choice members. The room was atrocious to say the least. The chair was stained and smelled. The kitchen floors were sticky and the room smelled of mold. Choice Hotels should consider selling this brand or bring out in new management.
Petita was so much help and went out of her way to make my family comfortable. She was amazing and had great customer service. The room was clean and the whole staff helped me with any questions I had . I would highly recommended this hotel to anyone who needs an extended stay or just A room for the night.. thank you everyone at the suburban Lodge especially Mrs. Petita.
I advise everyone to stay clear of this hotel at all costs. I was in room 337 a small single bed room. I arrived late at night in from Loganville and was completely exhausted. I was filthy from work and just wanted to take a shower and go to sleep. However, when I entered the bathroom to take a shower, I noticed something all over the bathroom walls and door. Looking at the stains closer I noticed it was dried blood! Yes dried blood! I looked more thoroughly and also noticed it on the floor and shower curtain and the drapes in the room. I dont know what happened in there previously but it wasnt good. I felt instantly disgusted since I knew Id be inconvenienced and have to pack all my things to be moved into another room. If I had the capability of finding another hotel, I would have done so. So I took pictures and showed them to Tiffany the receptionist at the front desk and told her how disgusting that room is. She was polite and offered me another room on the second floor. This room was musty smelling and old. Also hold your breath while getting to your room on the second floor since the marijuana smell is so overwhelming itll make your head spin. I didnt sleep a wink, and was so glad that I had my concealed carry weapon on me since the whole hotel if filled with drug using thugs and prostitutes roaming around the hallways. This place needs to be condemned and made into a parking lot. If you stay there as a last resort make sure you have a concealed carry weapon for personal protection, make sure you leave nothing valuable in your room, and get out as quickly as possible. My experience was like being on an episode of the First 48. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
I am only giving one star because i have to. When I arrived at the hotel i was advised that there would be a $50 CASH deposit per room. I had 2 rooms. It would have been nice to know this prior to arrival so that i could have stopped and got cash on the way there. After being in the car for five hours I had to put my kids back in the car and search for an ATM because the hotel rep couldnt give me directions to where one would be. After another 30 minutes of wasting time driving around a town I was unfamiliar with i finally found an ATM. Then when i arrived back at the hotel only to be told that my 12year old daughter and her friend would have to stay on a separate floor then myself and my husband. After arguing with the clerk and wasting more time we were already to tired to try to find another hotel at 10pm on a Friday. We went up to rooms only to find that the air conditioner had not been running at all and it was extremely hot in both rooms. Over our two night stay we discovered that not only was this hotel a TRASH crack motel but that they had roaches everywhere. When i spoke to the manager about this NOTHING was done. I paid full price for my trash rooms and I will MOST DEFINITELY NEVER RETURN.
Exceptional for the price. Recommended.Had an enjoyable stay for 2.5 weeks. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, everything functions as expected (kitchen and bathroom), its quiet and the staff were very pleasant. This is not a 4 star hotel, but then I never expected it to be. Ive been in plenty of budget hotels that were a nightmare. This was such a pleasant surprise that Ill definitely be back. For an extended stay on a budget, I couldnt recommend it more highly.
I stayed 1 night and had a poor experience and was charged $67. That was fine. I paid and received a receipt for $67. My problem is on top of having a bad experience I was separately charged an unauthorized additional $406 charge to my card. The front desk clerk nor the receipt, nor a sign specifically stated Suburban will take out a 1 night stay $67 plus an additional $406 for a total of $473 just to stay 1 night!!! I would have left the hotel immediately!!! That was never stated, I paid $67 received a receipt for $67. The next day, I was charged $406 additional/ unauthorized which is higher than my 1 night $67 stay. The Manager Becky, was unconcerned and stated the money will go on my card in 5-10 days. I earned that money and My daughter and I need to that money to live off of. Im requesting to receive my $406 money back ASAP. The company that initiates the hold can remove the hold.I already booked a room for me and my daughter at a different hotel. My daughter and I came in late from the airport our original hotel office was closed, however, Suburban was still open, so around 10:50 pm I reserved a room for 1 night only at Suburban. I never had a week long reservation only a reservation for 1 night.I stayed here twice before a year ago and had great experiences. My experience Thursday, March 29 was a poor experience. The first room my daughter and I was given looked used, because the bed looked slept in, the bathroom had towels but no wash clothes, and a dirty sink. I was given another room but that had a roach in the bathroom so I told the girl at the front desk and she came to the room and saw the roach too so she put me in another room. The last room, was a good room so we finally slept. The next day, $406 unauthorized charged was on my mobile bill statement. The unconcerned staff and managers seemed annoyed I was questioning the large amount of money missing stating they returned the amount to my card and my bank will return it in 5-10 business days. I argued $406 shouldhave never been charged to my account, Im here 1 night $67. They stated the money will go on my card in 5-10 days. I need my money now and cannot receive it until mid April??Im requesting to receive my $406 money back ASAP. The company that initiates the hold can remove the hold. That is a large amount of money and my daughter and I have to live off that. Plus, thats illegal banking practices and I will contact The Better Business Bureau so they can look into my complaint further.
Worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. It was cheap but now I know why. Most of the people that stay here actually live here. Music beat through the walls from next room over every night till after midnight and staff did nothing about it. House keeping has not came in and did anything for a week. Had to call them to get my garbage took out. I should have read the reviews on this trash hotel but I was trying to save a buck. Hope nobody makes that mistake. Spend the extra $20 a night and go somewhere else. They dont even deserve a 1 star.
If there was any option for me to pick zero stars I would do it! I am not even going to talk about the place has no security after 11 pm, nobody at the front desk either. The guests are on their own. It says weekly housekeeping. I have been here for 4 days already and my room has not been serviced yet. I placed a request for the sink to be fixed cause it was running slow. They did not do it! They fixed my bed instead. Lol!But this is still nothing. The most disgusting thing is the roaches. Not just bugs, as somebody else wrote in another review. There are cockroaches everywhere all over the place. Its so gross!!!!Im seriously wondering whether going further in this complaint, not just writing this review but I may be calling the health department to shout down this damn place! Cockroaches everywhere that spread diseases!!!!! This is absolutely unacceptable!!!!!
).I received a phone call from a hotel assistant stating that all the rooms with the two queen sized beds were almost sold out but she would keep me posted. However, I never received a call back. Thirty minutes before arriving to Atlanta I then reached out to the hotel staff since no one reached out to me. At that point I was told that there were more two queen size bedrooms left. Once I arrived I was told by the hotel attendant that all the two queen-size bedrooms were gone. I then was offered two separate bedrooms with one queen size bed. However, the room key for one of my rooms didn’t work and the hotel had no staff to let me in my room. The next morning I was told by one of the attendants that someone forgot to post a 1-800 number for people to call once they are locked out. So because someone forgot to post this sign I was locked out of one of my rooms and had to sleep in a chair. Early Sunday morning in upon checkout time me and my guest were preparing to bathe and went in the bathroom to find water all over the floor. I have attached pictures of what we saw Sunday before leaving. As a property manager the encounters I’ve had with this hotel this past weekend left me speechless .
Do not stay at this hotel! My wife and I booked a room at the Suburban Extended Stay in Kennesaw Georgia by Choice Hotels for a two-week period after we sold our home. We checked in at 6 56 p.m. dropped our luggage in the room and then left for 5 hours to get more of our belongings. We noticed on the way in that the hotel seemed a bit shabby worn and dated and had some ceiling areas missing in one of the hallways due to some Plumbing work that was apparently happening, and the room itself appeared to be worn and the carpet seems to need cleaned. stained carpets arent unusual in hotels. The bedspread looked clean and the bathroom seemed to be worn but clean .When we returned with more of our belongings at 11:45 in the evening on the same day we came up a stairwell instead of the front door and realized that something was wrong with this hotel it was very dirty very bad smells in the hallways that we used. When we open the door to the room the lights were on in the room and roaches scattered in every direction. As it was after 11 p.m. there was no staff on duty for us to contact no voicemail set up for their phone line and we waited 20 minutes plus trying to contact a customer service line for Choice Hotels. We were told by the person that we finally reached in reservations that we had to contact customer service he transferred us told us that we would have the opportunity to leave a voicemail but the message only said what their hours were and then promptly disconnected us.I have stayed at other choice hotels and found them to be acceptable. This hotel should not be in operation in the condition its in. I am seeking a full refund. my wife and I went back to the home that we just sold its completely empty and Im sleeping on the floor because I refuse to stay in a hotel that is infested with roaches and God knows what else.I will be calling Choice Hotels first thing in the morning when I can speak to a person and request a full refund. Again save time and money and anguish and do not book with this hotel.
Its unfortunate anyone with internet connection can write and post a review. Its fortunate that choice reviews are written by choice customers who actually travel for living and know a good hotel from a bad one. This my friends is a good one. It is obvious the general manager April has coach for employees to assist their clients first and foremost. I travel about 200 days a year and usually without my very pregnant wife. Both Tremayne and Shanarbie went above and beyond to accommodate my family with our special needs. Clean facility, flexible housekeeping, and the rooms actually look like the picture. Excellent value for location should have stopped here first.
This property needs completely remodeled, old ancient furniture what little there is, super-mini fridge, hot water takes forever to warm up, poor water pressure, internet access is about dial up speed when it does work which is only in the morning, security is pitiful at best.Swimming pool under repair, which I never saw anything being done to it the month I was there.Staff was nice and helpful and no problems with cleanliness.I have stayed at a lot of Suburbans and this was the worst one yet.Way over priced for the shape its in and what you get.
Front desk staff vvvery friendly and helpful, very busy place, has a small kitchen to cook that has stove top range and micro wave, sink and a micro fridge. The swimming pool there is very disturbing to see with green algae, not clean at all allot of guest complained about it. The place has great price to stay as well with there weekly or monthly rates.
Walls are filthy, I found a pill in the floor. The curtains are broke and dont hang on the rail. The bathroom wall looks like build up of toothpaste splatter which means spit and snot. Walls are filthy& old. The A/C is obnoxiously loud. Its the kind of room you dont want to touch anything. I had no transportation so I couldnt leave. Nastiest place I have ever stayed. Definitely does not look like the pictures. I hope this place doesnt have bedbugs! I would rate with no stars if I could.
Its was comfortable, i enjoyed the kitchenette but there was a roach problem. And to add to that during my 8 day stay, the housekeeper came once, and the toilet was stopped up for a day and a half because i could not get a plunger. They also could not locate the one and only luggage cart they have. I have chronic back pain and could not carry my things. The male attendant helped by carrying them for me.
The so called housekeeping service was horrible to say the least. The rooms were okay, but the hotel facility was kind of dirty and smelly. There laundry facility was actually pretty clean though. You need to have alot of your own items, towels, dishes, toiletries, etc. If you dont have your own towels or tissue, youll be making daily visits to the front desk, and they may not even have towels available when you get there. Theres also no extra accommodations such as business center, fitness room, etc. The kitchenettes in the rooms are nice, but other than that everything is very basic.
Great location, great value. Friendly staff. It is nice being able to cook in for my family during these trips. Kitchen utensils/cookware appointments seem to vary with each room. I frequent this hotel several times a year. Ive found it easier to bring my own when I come to town.
Before you look away, you have to try the hotel out. The reviews are rare experiences that are bad, however 99%, its really good. A queen bed, fridge, stove, microwave and cooking essentials; far superior than any other hotels, in my experience. So give it a try, before you read the reviews.
If I could give 0 I would ! Please don’t bring children here ! The smell alone is enough to where if we had any other option we would have left ! Unfortunately the Extended Stay America was booked until the 11 Th so we figured 4 days here couldn’t be horrible . Wow we’re we so wrong ! It smells like straight mold and mildew ! The air conditioning unit is filled with thick dust and what appears to be mildew. I am not sure if it had ever been cleaned. The floors also have a damp type feeling. The beds are hard and springy and the pillows are flat. One of our beds only have 2 thin sheets , the other does have a little comforter where it’s so old or has been washed so much that the cotton is in little clumps and appears dark in color. The lights on the wall also seem unstable as one of them flickers on and off and the brass is bent so they do not stay up straight. In the bathroom the only vent seen is also covered with very thick dust and doesn’t even work ( thank God bc the dust would just blow all over you ! ). There is a tiny kitchen and for many it would be sufficient. They also do provide plates and silverware, a microwave - small fridge and a 2 burner stove top. There is also a dark brown to black color stuck in the cracks and crevices of the bath tub. When you enter the hotel halls all you smell is stale cigarette smoke & whatever people happen to be cooking lingers threw the halls. The pool was GREEN , and obviously unable to be used , they had a tube in the pool for almost 2 full days that we personally witnessed before they began cleaning or emptying it yesterday. As of last night we saw some water back in the pool and it once again appeared green. The toilet paper roll is also rusted and there was no bath tub cover or drain in order to take a bath WO the water going straight out. This has been a nightmare ! And last night it sounded as if a man was possibly beating his GF ( or someone) as my children and I heard odd screams out of the room , by the time we got downstairs & outside police and an ambulance were here ( I am not sure if the matters are related ). I would NEVER COME HERE AGAIN ! I wish I could attach pictures so all could see the extremely horrible conditions in this room !
IF YOU VALUE HAVING A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP THEN YOU WILL BE WISE TO READ THIS REVIEW. This was the worst experience my husband and I have had at a hotel. We got this hotel through Priceline because we were needed a hotel with a kitchen. We love Priceline and have gotten some amazing deals through them, but this was not one.The security was good upon my late night arrival it was locked tight and you were not able to get in unless you had a key or someone let you in from the inside. The walk from the front door to our room felt like half a mile. The room did have a mini kitchen with utensils. The room itself had a old musky smell, the mattress was worn down with minimal comfort, and the carpet along with the walls just looked dirty and worn down. Upon using the bathroom for the first time after arriving I saw crawling on the floor a ROACH. It was so late and after a long day of traveling I just wanted to get some sleep. I made sure our luggage was zipped up before going to sleep. In the morning I informed the man at the front desk prior to leaving the hotel for the day about the roach I saw and his solution was I will get someone to come and spray the room. My husband and I didnt have time to seek other resolutions and trusted that would resolve the problem. Upon arriving back to our room after a very long day working a basketball event what do we see crawling on the wall...you guessed it! ANOTHER ROACH! That was my breaking point. I immediately went to the front desk and the woman working the front desk apologized for the situation and got us another room. I worked out my anger from all the walking I had to do from our room to the front desk. Our new room was nicer looking. While packing up our stuff to depart the next morning what do I see crawling on the wall...ANOTHER ROACH!!!! Although the elevator conveniently was out of order we quickly departed from this place using the stairs.
We didnt even stay at the hotel. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. I had booked two rooms, over a week ago and requested they be close together. They were on opposite sides of the hotel AND different floors. We walked into the first ones and the roaches complained that we would not be allowed to stay. Seriously, 5 roaches scurried across the kitchen counter. We went back to the front and checked back out. The lady at the front ended up being the hotel manager and wasnt too shocked to have us come check out.
My daughters and I are just returning home from a visit with my husband that is there on business for the month and I must say that this is the most disgusting place I have ever been to. I spent my first little while cleaning what they called a clean room. I was absolutely heart broken for my husband that he had to stay there and that I had to leave him there. We live in a tourist town and the room here would never be in the shape of the ones at this establishment. It is beyond disgusting !!
Poor customer service, inconsistent prices, tenants constantly lingering as if they are up to no good, tons of critters, stairwell isnt up to safety code, outsiders (people that clearly have not paid for a room) SLEEPING IN HALLWAYS, IF YOU ARE LUCKY TO GET HOT WATER *MOVE FAST*... Charged $25 for a lockout which is understandable, however, the person who unlocked the room was clearly already on site! Good luck if you lock all of your belongings in your room after hours... based on the current after hours lockout requirements youll be SOL. Save yourself the trouble and find a better establishment to lay your head!
Also the trash cans in the trash rooms in the halls were always overflowing and smelled to holy heaven. People were always cooking loud smelly food and setting off the fire alarms. I know the stoves are part of the selling point but I dont think the rooms should have stoves because people try to cook full heavy meals instead of hotel appropriate light meals. There are roaches in the rooms as well. Probably because the trash is not being removed regularly enough and kids leave chip bags and soda cans in the hallways and Ive seen them stay there for days without being picked up. Its a depressing place to be honest but I was going through a tough time and even though the rooms are overpriced they were the least expensive in the area.
Hello, this review is on the Front Desk employee called April DeMarco. I usually stay here once in about a month to get away from everything :) . The customer service has been good no real issues, then I met April. She is AMAZING!Her positive attitude & sense of calm is great. She made sure that the room I was assigned to was clean & had pots & pans, silverware e.t.cI will be back. Keep it up April
ROACH MOTEL!!! DONT GET FOOLED BY THE PICS!!!We stay in a lot of Choice Hotels, and this was by far our worst experience yet. The ONLY reason it even gets one star is because we have to rate it to make this post. We booked our stay for 3 nights, but only stayed for one....and only because we got in late. Had we known what we were in for, we would have canceled ahead of time without question. Especially since there was a big event in ATL, and almost all hotels for miles around were booked. The hallways here were musty, loud noises from several rooms, and shady people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours. One of those shady characters even ended up knocking on our second floor room door, said he was looking for someone else that had stayed there before. Another couple were waiting outside for someone to open the door, when they did they entered the hotel and got on the same elevator as us. When I asked what floor the wanted the lady said 2, and the guy said 3. Thats when she looked confused and the guy then said, Well start on 3, and work our way down. The rooms are very small, dated appliances. Everything was sticky from the floors, the counters, tables and chairs. At this point we knew we just had to get through it and we would never stay here again. Then it got serious. We returned from shopping, and wanted to make something to eat. As we entered the room to set stuff down, there was a roach crawling across the curtain. That did it!!! We took a picture, went to the desk and asked for an immediate refund. We did find a MUCH better hotel, and was more than happy to drive the 50 mins away. DONT DO IT!!! LAST WARNING!!!
You get what you pay for, and a little more at Suburban, yes, a little more.Rooms are neat and clean, and the staff is helpful. Lots of drawers and bed is open framed. No frills, no breakfast, no gym, but they do have wi-fi, and cable TV.Its an excellent value for an economical overnight or weekend. I felt very safe.
Some jack ads threatened me in the parking lot for walking from my car to the side door with my phone cops called worst type of people stay hereThe Staff was great, except when dealing with a complaint about a random cops coming to my room at 10:10 for having the tv on 16 of 100. You know instead of moving someone to solve the problem Luke adults, or letting you know your upsetting another costumer. The rooms are nice, and have what you need. The waters a bit cold. Random people sound like they beat or abuse there kids, and or spouses. Yet this never gets a cops visit. Some times from 3_5 am you can hear engines rev in the parking lot.The doors dont feel very secure, or well kept but electronic key cards are nice. All in all an ok place to stay if your aware, need something cheap, and are not easily upset but shady characters. Also if you dont mind the occupational dog bark, and awful smells in the hallways.
Upon checking in, staff was courteous, and available to help. However, the room was in less than desirable condition. Bathroom door would not close, the sink in the bathroom needs replacement, or a plumber, and the bedding was loaded with cigarette burns. Other than the condition of the room, it was a good place to stay overnight.
The pictures should say it all. The noise is unbelievable. Even at 12am there’s doors slamming and people making so much noise in the hallway. The AC blows out air that smells like piss. The housekeepers don’t do a good job at all as the pictures will show you. This is absolutely disgusting and you definitely don’t get what you pay for.
Absolute worst customer service I ever experienced. I made a mistake and forgot which room I was in and thought my card quit working. So I called their 1-800 number to get my key reloaded. This was a terrible mistake on my part. Some lady (with short pink hair) who refused to give her name came and it was clear that she wasnt happy. They way she treated me as a paying customer was ridiculous and unacceptable. I know this isnt the representation of your brand I just stayed 9 days at your Huntsville, Al location on University Drive and the guest service was next to none. I usually dont post bad reviews but this particular situation touched a nerve. I will sure think twice in the future before I book a hotel with this particular chain as a choice member.
I was totally disappointed by the change in management at this location. I obtain a key and head to my room, the halls smell stale, and the room is only mildly better. Upon entering the room I noticed big plaster patches, holes in the tub surround and suspect looking towels. One of the pillows look like it served as a dog pillow with the amount of brown stains hidden by the pillow case, and the chair and ottoman were so soiled it was off-limits. I immediately called the front desk to have my room cleaned the next day, I was told that it was scheduled to be, which I found odd since it was a 2 night stay. I could only guess he knew the room was sub-par.(Note: Maid never cleaned room and was gone by the time I returned that evening.) I made a trip to Walmart after finishing my assessment, and got some essentials to make the short visit tolerable. If it was not for the fact that it was late and I had just finished a long drive with my toddler I would have left. Stay away not worth the deals.
There was a roach infestation in this hotel. Really bad smells in the room and throughout the hallway. We felt uneasy with the some of the people that lived there. Cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel was not great. Coming down the side stairs I ran into a young lady convulsing out of a drug overdose. Noticed the police patroling the property a few times which caused people hanging out to scatter.
Well, were moving to the Atlanta area in March, and in January we planned a week long trip to the area to house hunt. We chose an Extended Stay, thinking that with a baby, it would have more space and more conveniences. We had reserved a Smoking room with two beds. My husband smokes, and would only do it in the bathroom since our 20 month old was with us, but nonetheless, a smoking room is more convenient to a smoker, rather than walk and walk to get outside. The reason for the two beds was that our daughter has recently transitioned to a bed w/ rails, rather than her crib, and we brought those rails with us. Shes a very independent, and fantastic sleeper, and we certainly wanted to keep as much of her routine the same as possible. Even though the room we reserved, as a Choice Priveledge Member was guaranteed, we arrived to learn that apparently at Extended Stay locations, no reservation is actually guaranteed due to the fact that their existing guests sometimes decide to stay longer. We were squeezed into a King Smoking room, as there were no two bed non-smoking either, that had no dresser, four hangers, and practically no room. If this is supposed to be where people stay for extended periods of time, I cant imagine it. The baby had to sleep between us, and now wont sleep alone at home. To make matters worse, we were there during that awful first ice storm, and we were trapped in this tiny room for two and a half days, with a special needs child. Just be aware of your reservation not really being guaranteed. We were promised a two bedroom to switch to the day after arriving, and help to move everything, but that never happened either. Nothing became available. Place is clean, and not awful, but not getting what we reserved was terribly wrong!!!!
The only real complaint I have is the internet is kinda crappy. You have to ask for cookware, but they do have it. The smell of cigarettes is around, but it doesnt really bother me. There is a lot of noise, but you have to remember that there are people that actually live here. Im currently one of them. The staff is super nice and always willing to help in anyway they can. They dont even get irritated when my mom calls 100 times a day.
I had been a resident at this Suburban extended stay in kennesaw for over six months on and off. I had grown to really enjoy my stay while I transitioned into the Atlanta area. I was locked out after hours for non payment one day and although I explained that I would take care of it first thing the next morning because I was working. This was the first that this had happened. -but this turned out to be the being of the foulest treatment that I have ever experienced from Any hotel before. What happened after is my number one reason that I Will Never Recommend the suburban extended stay in Kennesaw to anyone. I called the a total of 7 or 8 times if not more and no one came until over 2 hours later and Becky the manager only came because a resident gave me her personal cell number and I texted her. She then came to the front desk yelling about me owing money, I offered her payment but of course the desk is closed up, so yelling at me at almost 3 in the morning when you can’t accept my payment didn’t make very much sense to me. Her inability to communicate as one adult to another completely through me for a loop. Since I heard such awful things regarding the way in which she speaks to people. I DO NOT BELIEVE I ANYONE BEING LEFT IN A LOBBY FOR OVER TWO HOURS.-And THEN I Am GREETED BY SOMEONE YELLING. They do not deserve your hard earn money.
My overall stay would’ve been wonderful if i wasn’t forced to leave before checkout because my room was booked already and there weren’t any rooms. It’s how you say things, the staff to me seemed careless, it’s a better way to let someone know what’s going on and at least try to offer to help find a solution Instead of just making someone leave
Room was very clean. All advertised amenities were included. The hotel manager was & still is not qualified to be called manager! I paid cash when @ check in. Then found a credit card charge when I got to destination. They had no explanation why and were refusing to correct it. The manager said that their system did not show the charge, only cash payment. I was told to contact the bank to correct it. Why?
This is how they get people not to review this awful garbage dump is that I have to type 50 words or I can’t progress with this survey so I’ll go ahead and write those words to warn all of you. Thank me later. I hope I’m at 50. Nope, not yet, guess I will continue to tell you how bad it was. I didn’t even stay there. Too many screaming babies and children and mothers beating them loudly
I am currently staying here (30days). The WiFi has not worked since day one. The usual response, we have alot of traffic when the kids come home or we will put in a ticket or well tell Cory. The wifi just doesnt work! There are huge holes in the ceiling; from my understanding the leaks have been there for 3 mths. There are roaches of all sizes. The police have been called on occasion, for other guests. I have received wash clothes, and bedding with makeup and dirt on it. No hangers in the closet. Bugs coming through the HVAC. I overheard the housekeepers talking, and the conversation was around not sweeping the floor or changing the towels. There are transient guests. I had a voyeur staring through my window on the ground floor. The pictures on the website has to be another hotel. Always smelling weed in the hallway. The upside...SOME of the front desks reps are nice. Honestly, I would not stay here.
First, let me qualify myself as an expert traveler. I travel for work frequently and stay in hotels often. No less than 100 days a year. Quite often these are luxury brands. This was an unexpected personal trip and I needed a budget hotel.People need to realize you get what you pay for. The hotel is even named Extended Stay which implies youre going to be on your own to a certain extent. Lets hit the positives first (yes there are some) .Positives:* Great Location (right off I75) and next to mall* Kitchenette with range, mini fridge and microwave* Free Wifi (Ive been to chains that make you pay)* Plenty of parking* Staff were friendly and knowledgeableThings to know:* Maid service is once weekly* Take out your own trash (there are bins in rooms at either end of each hallway.)* You have to clean your own linens during week* No on site security (must use room key after 11p to enter building)* No on site maintenance staff during weekNegatives:* I stayed on 3rd floor and saw no bugs, but did see a roach on the elevator.* Flapper on my toilet was broken, fixed it myself.* Had to clean microwave (exploded food inside)* Missing ceiling tiles on first floor (as of 3/20/16)You have got to realize the benefits of a hotel like this.*If you are a weary traveler and just need a bed, the price is unbeatable.*If you need somewhere to stay last minute and dont have the $$$, stay here.* If you need to stay in the area for a week on a budget, stay here.Tips for keeping roaches at the hotel and not taking them home:*Keep your bags closed*Keep bags off the floor* When you get home, immediately wash clothes* Check your bags as soon as you get home.Just so you know, Ive seen roaches in 5 star hotels, as well as rodents. The warmer the climate, the worse it gets.It is not a 5 star hotel, but in the hotels defense thats not their aim. Their aim is to give you a place you can stay for more than a few days on a budget. Also at no point during my stay did I feel unsafe. Some other reviewers said otherwise, but Im from Baltimore City so trust me when I say youll be fine. Just lock your car doors and keep valuables hidden (common sense)If you are looking for a pampered experience and are only staying a night or two, there are other brands in the area... At triple the price (I checked)
Omly reason i gave it a star is because i wouldnt be able to share my review i give it 0stars HORRIBLE ..... We came in for a baseball tournament and we originally thought this was for a extended stay hotel and was misled. If i was the franchise that has this hotel i would remove myself as far as possible. Cause this would not make me wana stay in any of there franchise hotels. We checked in went in room and it was gross saw a roach in bathroom. I went to speak with manager and was kind enough to give us another room. With same results run down saw a roach run under the door into the hallway. By this time i was disgusted and started looking for another place in the meantime they had 5 police cars dragging a naked man out of hotel cause he was on drugs and was running thru hallways.. I DIDNT EVEN STAY but 90 mins fastest check in and out ever ive stayed in motels better than this. If your traveling and think ur saving spend the extra dont stay here they needed a negative star for this rating
Worst experience ever! Water shut off at least 3 times a week for the entire day at times. Hardly any warnings and no compensation or apology for gross inconvenience. Staff could care less about guests. Never any towels or clean sheets. Always have to pull from a bundle wrapped up in laundry room. Hotel needs a complete overhaul from staff to housekeeping to Management.
I stayed here for a few nights temporarily as all the other places on the other side of town were booked for special events taking place around the holiday. WORST NIGHTMARE EVER!! The first night, the water was shut off from 11pm - 9am or longer. It was due to come on at 4am; however, they apparently burst another pipe 😒 and had to wait until 7am to get a piece from the store. I could not shower nor wash my hair. Thank God, I had a gym membership and it was nearby. The second night, I encountered a small roach on the bed 😳 who had made himself at home. Aaaaaah!! I was afraid to go to sleep lol and on top of that the walls were thin. Screams from rough sex and the knocking of headboards filled the atmosphere; and the fridge made constant noise in the midnight hours. I personally think my room was haunted 😂😂. The stovetop was terrible and wouldnt allow my food to even boil. It simply set there and became hot after like 20 minutes. Did I mention that on the 2nd day I was locked out of my room after I returned from my shower and shopping? I waited at the front desk for roughly 10 minutes before being helped. I was patient, no big deal. But then after I extended my issue, Yes, you were locked out because you havent paid. We need a form of payment. Whattttt??? The room was prepaid via credit card on the website. They charged my card a day prior to my arrival. I kept it professional; but was literally given a hassle. NEVER AGAIN!! RUN LIKE HELL!! The one in Duluth is much better, wayyyyy cleaner, and the staff is amazing. Anywho, I was instructed to contact my credit card company to obtain the routing number that would be attached to the charges. I did as she instructed and only then was she able to populate the charges in her system. 😣. Upgrade needed ASAP!. The hotel is a bit sketchy in my opinion; but its in close proximity to everything such as banks, grocery stores, outlets, gas stations, tons of restaurants, and the highway. I guess the plus side is that my car was safe as well as my personals that were left in the room. I did not encounter any bedbugs; and the rate was extremely low as well as points were utilized. Even so, I will never stay here again as it was a complete nightmare. This place ought to be shut down and remodeled in its entirety. Some people literally lived there in the midst of the leaks and water being shut off. It breaks my heart to see such as a previous hospitality professional. Upgrades are definitely needed. As large as the property is; there is potential, but it all boils down to leadership taking ownership. As it is an extended stay; it should be looked upon as being a home away from home not a shack.
Horrible service. The people here are just awful. Had a woman worker walk in my room at 7 am after ringing some sort of bell in my room for an hr. I of course checked the door several times she was nowhere around. Comes in right as I fall back asleep and just walks In my room takes the trolley I was using and walks out without saying a word. I jumped up and walked out. And asked her name and why exactly she walked in my room...without any apology she rudely told me her name and then continued to walk away while Im still talking to her asking why she wouldnt just call the room being that the do NOT disturb sign was on the door. Not to mention as you walked down the hall ways the smell of pot is overwhelming. Definitely not a place to bring the family.
I booked here for 3 nights and only ended up staying here 1 night. Problem being, they have roaches! The staff was friendly however I had my kids with me one who is 4 months and I saw not only a roach crawling on his bassinet but found one in my food I left out overnight. So needless to say that was all I could take but the manager waa nice enough to credit me a full refund. I will not be staying here again.
This place has roaches, no hot water, the carpets are dirty and smell. The grounds are full of cigarette butts. None of the exterior doors lock. There is stuff growing out of the heaters/ac units and there is no hot water. How could Choice put there name to this place. I was suppose to be there 6 nights and could only stay 3. I had to check out from the filth.
Will be my honest assessment. The bed is very comfortable (however you only get a sheet, you must bring your own bedding. I guess this is how this place operates?) and shower is nice (good water pressure). The kitchenette is ok. Cannot but more that two or three days worth of food in there. Bad parts: WiFi is absolutely horrible. I do a lot of work that requires the internet and it makes you want to pull your hair out when it keeps going in and out. I am sure they do not have an IT staff in house but something needs to be done. It is 2015 it is not that hard to fix. I stayed for two weeks and never saw room services once. I had to go to a laundromat to wash the sheets and towels myself. I took care of my own garbage and bought cleaning supplies to clean the rest. I refuse to live in unsanitary conditions and cannot rely on them to do it (I was under the assumption that was part of the cost that I am paying?) My other issues is not directly the fault of the staff however, there is constant door slamming at ALL hours of the day and night. There are suspicious people that just roam around the place, who obviously are not staying here. I have never had to use my keycard to enter the building because the doors are always propped open with rocks. This tells me there is no security at all here. There are construction workers that walk around using extremely filthy language. There are families with children here and they should not be subjected to such language. Would I stay here again? No. Too many bad things out weigh the good. This establishment needs to get their act together to avoid more negative reviews.
The hotel shoud hire better cleaning staff. The mattresses are so uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. I have to move 3times. I was promised two free nights at the hotel but cant us them now because they are sold out. I asked if they could just let me have point to us anyplace instead of forcing me to come back to stay with them . I was told basically no that is not possible. This is something that I will never forget and if you cant make the decision, then you should find someone that could. Its not that big of a request. Points cost you 5.00 for every 1000 and it takes 8000 to stay there. do the math 16,000 * $5 = $80. This will break them and they will have to file chapter 7. OMG.
Between roaches and general uncleanliness of the room you will not want to stay at this hotel. I have stayed in multiple rooms at this propert . Its very hit or miss if you will get a clean bug free room or a roach infested dump. With my last stay during winter storm Jonas . If I could have came up with a way to keep my car heater going all night I would have slept in it!
First arrived and checked in and was sent to a room that was clearly smoking. When I walked into the room there was a puddle of something laying on the ground. Ewe! Went back down asked for a NON-SMOKING room. I was given a new room. The staff was friendly but the quality of people staying at the hotel seemed very low. It was kind of a sketchy place. Would not stay here if on vacation, dine for a one night, two night business trip.
Do NOT go here. Its a roach motel. They literally scatter when u turn on a light. So unclean and in kept and the cleaning staff (the manly short hair lady) screams at people in hallways and is a general nasty human being. Which I guess explains the bug infested nastiness we experienced here.
Room smelt horrid. I stepped on broken glass that had come from a picture placed above the bed. After checking where the glass had come from, I found several broken shards under the bed. To top it all off, the lady at the front desk was extremely short and rude. I’ll never go back!
Needs a zero. Not a hotel, but a brothel. The door was taped with electrical tape. My husband removed it several times, and by morning it was removed. The last time it was removed, the following morning, the door latch on door frame was completely removed, meaning anyone could enter the building. There hallways reeked of nasty food, smoke, and weed. Loud music all hours of the night, hooping and hollaring, etc. There were people in the parking lots all hours of the night. The swimming pool was slimy green. When our room card didnt work, our 18 yr old went to front desk and told them it didnt work for our room number. They didnt ask any questions, no name, nothing, and activated another card. Also, we were woken up each night by someone walking down the hall, inserting a card into our door, and going on to each room thereafter trying to see if the card went to that room. The laundry room has a card swipe to gain entry. It was also jammed. The dryers only worked part of the time, thats if you were lucky enough to get access to them because of one couple who lives there taking 2 or 3 laundry baskets in to wash and taking them all up. If we had have known before we booked, we would have never stayed here. We were in town for the national AAU championship, and was trying to save as much money as possible. My husband works on the road from time to time with his job, and has stayed at other chain locations, and never had a problem until now. We will NEVER look at saving a dime again. Spend the extra $20 and get something safe, especially if you have children.
Never returning. Was advised of roach issues in place prior to going, but figured people tend to over-exaggerate. Upon waking up morning after only night staying, which we got back to room very late n tired, im in restroom and see not 1, nor 2, nor 3 or 4, But 5 roaches in bathroom, and upon looking around room, found 2more behind AC unit. Brought to managements attention, requested immediate check out and refund, which we recieved. Was traveling w/ 4 families for family wedding, we all left. I have photos and video of proof.NEVER again staying at a Suburban Extended Stay
Location is great, small kitchen with microwave, fridge and stove included. Small table right next to the kitchen for 2 people. However theres no free breakfast. 2 huge beds with plenty space between them for sleeping on the ground, and theres a TV as well. Small closet. Bathroom is fine as well with mirror included but theres no lock in the door. AC is available as well plus a digital clock/radio/aux speaker. Enough outlets for everything.lighting is perfect

2022-07-01Not QUITE as bad as the reviews led me to believe, but still pretty bad nonetheless. Though I suspect this has maybe more to do with the people who stay here vs the management. Anyway, have low expectations. Room was pretty clean considering, but I did see a few baby roaches that I think may have come from other rooms. Internet sucked but whatever. TV channel options limited and picture quality deplorable so bring an HDMI cable to connect your laptop or phone if you can. Room didnt smell, but the hallways reek of cigarettes and sometimes garbage. They have like one plate and some utensils but nothing to cook with so bring pots and pans or prepare to eat out. I could keep going but Im not trying to write a book. Just know that you do in fact get what you pay for.

2022-02-11My room was infested with roaches. I killed many tiny roaches in the kitchen, bathroom, and dresser draws. I was notified I could not switch rooms, and there was nothing they could do. Highly dissatisfied with my overall experience at this establishment.

2022-02-05I liked the fact that it was close to where I needed to be and it wasnt all that expensive for an extended stay. I understand that there are long term tenants staying there and they cook/eat in their rooms. This always leads to pests being there but they were actually not bad and they did try to get rid of any pests by spraying for them. I was there for over a week and only saw 4. The noise of some of the residents was excessive at times and alot of them had no respect for other guests. Overall, it was a decent experience and if needed, I would stay again.

2022-06-15Positive: Leaving Negative: Believe the reviews. Roaches everywhere and hallways reeked of weed puke and rotten food. Place should be condemned. If you have the ability to stay literally anywhere else, even in your car, do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

2022-06-18This place is the slums. It is stinky and dirty too. Not to mention unsafe. The floors is missing carpet & the ceiling is missing the CEILING in most areas. It is not worth what they are charging. Definitely 1star.

2022-06-08Not my cup of tea; being a diabetic I require a full size fridge which they do not have. Housekeeping is once a week, need to provide your own towels etc. Good for those who can’t do better, but not a hotel I would recommend, there are reasons it’s $50-60 a night the photos are deceiving

2022-03-26If you can possibly make another choice to stay over other than the street, please do it. This place is pathetic. Huge holes in hallway walls showing pipes exposed. No service with a smile here. Bring your own plunger or stop by Walmart. Your probably going to need it.

2021-12-11The hotel room is clean in fairness with the kitchen utilitiws provided. Except for the blanket I am not sure if it stained or the smell retain on it. And also the last room I had with it stinked like an oil, seems like somebody cooked and it retained in the room. Plus the first four nights I stayed with was very noisy and the slamming doors of the exit door and the pulling of the beds of the neighboring room. Never got a good sleep.
