My entire experience from first contact to waving goodbye to the moving van after delivery was outstanding. Having heard horror stories above long distance moves, I was pretty nervous but there was no reason to be. Shout out to May Kelley, who referred me, to Debbie Ponder, who so patiently walked me through the virtual quote process, to Brenda Menendez, who kept in contact about every step of the process and finally to the extraordinary Tom Polfer, who made sure my treasures and family heirlooms were handled carefully and packed securely. Each of these amazing folks made my move go smoothly and worry free. I cannot thank them enough. I would highly recommend Suddath to anyone who is planning a move.
We have moved 5 times in the last 7 years and have used a variety of home moving companies. Our last move with United was smooth. The company customer rep was very attentive and we were apprised of all possible schedules and updated when all was finalized. The packers and moving crew were professional and went the extra mile several times. I would use them again - actually would prefer using them again. A very positive experience.
My initial interaction with this company was very good and they were responsive and accommodating with my move during the current pandemic. All customer service + move personnel were very polite and did a great job throughout. My frustration is that I had two pieces of damaged Knoll furniture that were brand new and they only agreed to replace one of the damaged items, saying they could not determine accountability for the other piece. I am very confused since I contracted them to PACK and MOVE my belongings. How is accountability in question? When I took the marble top out of the box, it was damaged. I did not pack it, move it, or damage it, but I am now responsible for replacing it at my own expense, which is over $1,000.Very disappointing and more than frustrating considering how much money I spent on a multi-state pack/storage/move. If you value your belongings, I would look elsewhere for a company that will do the right thing.
At first my experience was great. The coordinator and evaluator did a great job getting my somewhat smaller move scheduled (about a two bedroom apartment worth of stuff). Then things went downhill FAST. I had to call multiple times the week before and the week of the move to confirm they were actually coming and when (I had scheduled a few months in advance). The loading crew was a bit inexperienced but they overall did a good job and were efficient and handled things with care. Then the wait, and the wait, and the wait. The move coordinator was never sure when my items would arrive in my new state and never reached out to update me (until after I requested daily updates). I had to be the one reaching out consistently. When we were half way through my delivery window and I was like, well where exactly is my stuff? I found out that it was actually in a warehouse in Georgia and hadnt left the state and they had already gone through like 2 or 3 drivers and none had come through. Part of the problem, they said, was that I was just a smaller move and therefore couldnt be prioritized. I understand that this is a pandemic and things change, but the complete lack of communication was appalling. Finally, I was able to speak with someone in charge and was able to get my things shipped out about 5 days after their guaranteed by date. I had minimal to no damage (a really nice surprise) and the unloading crew was absolutely fantastic. The company itself, however, has no organization and their communication with their customers (or in this case the complete lack thereof) was horrible. I have moved across the country three times as a child and 5 times as an adult, the majority of those with moving companies and a few on my own. Moving is stressful enough - if I wanted to have to be the one to coordinate everything I would have done it myself to begin with and saved the money.And yes - they did financially reimburse me a portion of the move. That is why it is two stars instead of one. I was so surprised by my negative experience after reading all the positive reviews that I honestly hope no one else has this issue.
The Suddath team is first class. My coordinator Brandi was overly communicative through the entire process. My move was approved, expedited and completed in record time. I appreciate everyone at Suddath for going out of their way to keep me informed, take the necessary safety and cleanliness actions to keep both my family and the moving company safe throughout the process. I highly recommend Suddath!
1st time using Suddath Relocation/United Van Lines. Moved from Georgia to Florida. Everyone was very professional from coordinator to movers. They padded all my furniture (everything made of wood: sofas, dining table, all chairs, even my shelves) and hand carried all the boxes up & down the stairs. Moving process went very smooth and exactly as they had planned from initial estimate to completion. Slight delay due to the traffic on delivery but the crew made up for it with the speed & efficiency during unloading. They worked entire load/unload, did not even take a break. Moving crew was very polite and careful of my belongings. They took extra care in making sure there was no damage to my old & new home during the move. Not even a scratch to the doors/walls/wood floors, etc. I am going to highly recommend them to all my friends & co-workers. Very very impress with the experience.
This was the first time Ive had to hire a mover, so I didnt really know what to expect. Theresa Brown and Ken Wilson were so helpful with the details involved with packing our own property and coordinating the out-of -state move. The moving crew was excellent, very careful and polite. I have not found any damage to any of my property. I highly recommend Suddath, my move could not have been easier.
I had the full service - both packing and moving and it was a wonderful experience. The packers ensured everything was safe, but also clearly labeled that made unpacking much easier. The movers were a team that had been together for a while, and you could tell the way they worked. There was a steady cold rain with the move, but the guys never stopped, and all furniture was wrapped so well, nothing got wet. Ronnies team was very helpful with the arranging of furniture as well, helping me even when I changed my mind. It was a large move, with tight hallways and stairs, but at the end NOTHING was damaged at either location nor any of my items-furniture or boxes. I highly recommended them for any moving needs you may have.,
My moving experience was excellent across the board. I moved for work from Atlanta to St. Louis and the process went as smoothly as I could have expected, with plenty of attention to my moving needs. Packing and loading from the old house in Atlanta could not have been easier. I want to specifically recognize my moving coordinator, Kate for staying on top of things every step of the way and I need to give a huge thanks to my moving crew - Travis, Terry, and Tyrell!! The day of my delivery to the new home, these guys dealt with snow, and an old house with narrow hallways and stairs, but stayed positive, friendly, professional, and effective. I highly recommend moving with Suddath!
After 14 military moves this was my first post military move, paid for by me and I can honestly say it could not have been a smoother process. Brenda and Ken were awesome helping me get through the process and set everything up. We ended up having to change our move date and Ken was all over it, helping us arrange everything that needed changing. Brenda was in constant communication and made the process great. Once the move date got closer, Bob, our drive reached out and his crew did a great job. He was prompt, very communicative and met us at our destination with no issues. If we move again, we will use Suddath for sure. Thank you again and please give a big Kudos those employees

Overall the move went very well. The unloading crew drove the truck expertly, unloaded all our belongings, and were pleasant to chat with throughout the day. We had a few broken items, including an antique table, which we are in the process of filing a claim over. We moved just about 600 miles though, so to not have any missing items and only have one thing broken (so far at least), Im overall very happy.
All I ever heard was I’m sorry.I would not recommend this company.They did not complete my move on time.My things were split up into multiple deliveries which had never been discussed as a possibility.They tried to charge me an addition of almost 15% beyond my guaranteed quote.All was explained to me as the result of a failure by the assessor Ken Wilson who they sent to my home to assess the move so that there wouldn’t be any surprises.Our dispatcher apologized a lot but no accommodations were made and we were highly inconvenienced.The teams the that did the actual pick up and delivery were very nice and professional but they were the only one.The logistics were a nightmare.There is plenty of competition. Go with someone else.
✓We recently moved from Florida to Atlanta and had such a wonderful experience hiring Suddath United for our move. Our salesman Steve Smith gave excellent customer service each step of the way and updated us with information in a timely manner. Our move coordinator Bonnie Bottini in Deerfield was exceptional in helping with coordinating our move and updating us with pertinent information throughout the process. Our movers Brian, Darmell and Sonny in Atlanta were outstanding. They covered our floors and door openings and spent hours moving things in with care. They even went over the top to help us move a difficult couch upstairs. We were so impressed with how fast they moved everything in, but gave care to our belongings and house as if it were their own. We have had an outstanding experience and will recommend Suddath United to all of our friends and relatives. From the move-out, temporary storage, and move-in, every part of the process was a wonderful experience.
Rob, Alec, Alice and Gene were terrific. They were on time and worked steadily over three days to get our stuff packed and loaded. They took excellent care of everything, especially our treasured momentos, during the packing and loading. They worked very hard and barely took time to grab a bite to eat. I was very grateful that they made what is usually a very stressful time seem easy. They were kind, had a great sense of humor and friendly. Thanks for sending this crew to us. We are more than pleased so far.
I havent moved in 31 years so I am a nervous wreck. 1200 characters is not enough for me to praise the excellent service I have gotten from Debbie Ponder and Theresa Brown on getting everything scheduled. Tamela and Claudia (packers extraordinaire) went above and beyond to provide stellar customer service and packing my antiques with such care, attention to detail, and thoughtfulness. Tamela and Claudia are not only a credit to themselves, but also to Suddath and United Van Lines - truly they have all set the bar high and should be the example everyone else should be following. WELL DONE and my heartfelt thanks for everything.
I was more than satisfied with my move. I had 3 movers move me in about 2.5 hrs. I was thoroughly impressed with how efficient and careful they were. Dexter and his guys were super professional and were overall great to work with. I would go with them if/when I move again.
Tamela & her team were incredible. On time, efficient, helpful in answering questions. They easily discerned my markings on what was to be packed and what stayed. All team members were respectful of my belongings, and worked diligently. They had a special method for getting everything packed. Special kudos to Tamela and Claudia. They did something for me that was so kind, and meaningful. I cant imagine how they remembered to act on something I mentioned early in the morning, after all they had going on all day, and still did a wonderful act of kindness at the end of the packing. My whole packing crew was wonderful! Now if I could only get them to come help me unpack.....

I want to thank Dianna for coordinating my recent move, keeping me informed of the progress and ultimately reporting on a timely delivery. And a big Thanks to Thomas and Derrick for making a speedy delivery, exercising great care and efficiency in transporting my belongings to Atlanta. The company made an error in the assessment of the vehicle size needed. End result was I had to return to the house the following day to meet with another truck and crew. Twice the tome and travel for their mistake. The crew assured me that the error was with the assessor and apologised. Months later I receive an additional $800 for their miscalculation. No apology for the time and stress they caused. I contacted the office and was told that I need to contact the local office (a franchise I am assuming). After many attempts talked with the manager and was promised a call back, none came. More bills and now threatening letters. Not what I would rate as stellar customer service, use at your own risk and have them sign everything on the day and video promises made. At this time I have messages from them to call me but after all these months I am not optimistic.
Ronnie Twigg and his team of Reuben, Roberto, Robert and Stephen did an outstanding job packing my household items. Pick-up & Delivery by Sherman and his team was also outstanding. There was no damage to either location and just a couple minor issues. I was very pleased with Suddath..

Started out great. Sales rep Ken was very professional and explained the entire process in detail. Theresa Brown was in constant contact leading up to the move. However, they ran out of room on the truck and had to come back the next day with a second truck, which delayed my own departure. First delivery was well within the window I was given. However, its now been 3 weeks since that first delivery and I am still waiting for the second delivery. No word yet on how/if I will be compensated.
Ronnie Twigg’s crew of Robert, Roberto, Rueben and Stephen were great. I could not have asked for a more professional crew who were respectful of my items as well as home. I have nothing to clean up due to the crew and was impressed at how fast they were saving me 4 hours on Saturday. I would love to have them again in the future as well as the rest of my coworkers moving to Social Circle.

I have worked with Suddath Relocation on numerous moves over the past two years at the Coca-Cola Headquarters in Atlanta. The crew is always very professional and works hard to get the job done in a timely fashion. This past year, they were instrumental in the success of a restack involving 1,403 people completed in less than six months. As always the team, under Roberto Lindsey’s leadership, did an awesome job! I’ve worked with various moving companies over the years and Suddath is definitely at the top of the class. I in the military and was told that our household goods would arrive by the 15 of december. They contacted me a 2 days before new years eve to let me know that it was delivered to the wrong destination. When I called to see if someone could help me solve the problem quick all they said was let me see what I can do and never called me back only answered me by emails. Being on a time schedule due to having to go to a new duty station away from my family they failed to deliver on time and failed to ensure everything was correct in the system. I do not recommend this company for any moves. Customer service has been one of the worst and it is 5 days before I have to leave and I still do not have my things.
Suddath examined my load in Atlanta in advance, but came without capacity needed. Left a third of the load for another truck, which delivered to my home in Denver several days after the first load was delivered and with several boxes unpacked in an effort to make room. Again, inadequate capacity. Several thousand dollars of damage, and no response to my damage claim.
This is the worst moving experience I have had and Ive moved numerous times in my life. They lost all the stuff to put our furniture back together, scratched things and actually put their feet on our tables. They then had the nerve to get annoyed with my husband. When we try to call noone handling the move answers their phone. I would not use this place again if it were free.
The team was very prompt and professional. They treated my items with loving care - from packing and loading to storage and unloading. Also my consultant was great to coordinate with from the very beginning until all my items arrived safely. I will recommend to friends.

2022-04-08Where do I start from the beginning Kate was there to answer all of my questions. First time using a professional moving company and I didnt have to lift a finger. The packing crew had us packed and loaded in one day. Everything happen so smoothly from shipping my husband car to carting our 75inch tv. I would definitely recommend to anyone relocating long distance.

2018-07-11I am very please with the outstanding service of Milton and Armando today. They arrived early for our 8:00am appointment and receiving the best protection with plastic, paper, and tape. I would recommend them to anyone moving, military related or not.

2021-09-11My Account Coordinator, Elaine was excellent. Shes very helpful and responsive and she knows her job well. Area of opportunity was the loaders were 3 1/2 hours late and the delivery driver with my contents to Indianapolis was slightly difficult to work with but we made it through. Overall, Suddath does a good job with relocation services.

They made sure not to leave a single item by checking twice and thrice. I would definitely recommend SUDDATH.

They took time to make sure things were done right. Brandi checked in on me multiple times to make sure everything I needed as a customer was just how I wanted it. 2021-03-23We had a two truck, 6 person crew for a local move last weekend and were very pleased. Fausto & his crew are very knowledgeable about logistics and execution and went out of their way to deposit and arrange our ‘garage storage’ items in a way that will store well for the next 6-9 months. Suddath is not the least expensive but their service is well worth the price. We will be calling them for our next move to our permanent house and requesting the same crew. Thank you for a pleasant move experience!

2021-09-24I know most people send updates on negative experiences but I wanted to take the time to share a very positive review about Juan Flores and his team. One of the things I expect from a professional service is a lot of quality communication. Juan called me first thing on Monday the 20th to give an ETA on arrival which was perfect. He showed as expected and promptly greeted me to explain the process in detail. After the walkthrough I could tell that he was fully up to speed with the information that both Brenda Menendez and Debbie Ponder had shared with him (THANK YOU!). I was absolutely impressed with Juans leadership throughout the day by keeping a healthy cadence and efficient loading process. Juans superior attention to detail, open communication, and professionalism showed all day long even at the end of a tiring day.
