Went here last week for hibachi but we were not impressed. Not sure why the rating is as high. The staff was professional and place as nice decor but you come for the food which was just ok at best.
First time coming here. I am disabled and they where able to bring the food to the table for me. Which I appreciated a lot. My food didnt seem like enough. So I asked the women cashier for more vegetables and she hooked me up with some. I was very happy she did so as I walked out full. The place is clean and the cashier women was friendly and wanted me to be happy. Which I was. My experience was made pleasant because of her. Please keep her around! She made my first time here great. Also the fried rice is great with many vegetables added in.
Fast friendly service! The wings were delicious and the fish was good. We didn’t get hibachi but the portions we saw on others plates was huge!! Rice overload!! The food comes in a large bowl. Decent prices!
Its no secret, that I love this place. I usually prefer bone-in wings but you have the try the boneless lemon pepper. Trust me. I know my lemon pepper.
The Shrimp Fried Rice is delicious! Their food never feeds a crowd and never disappoints. Great place!
Women at counter treated me very nicely and made sure I left full. I would only go back because of her. They need to give you more vegetables though when you pay more for it. Food is good and fried rice is great.
Love this place. The best wings in town and all the menus are so good. You can see they use only fresh, and good ingredients as if they are serving their family members. The price is reasonable and the portion is generous. I love their fried rice, and want to come again and again. Highly recommended!
I have lived in Johns Creek for almost all of my life and never have I tasted wings as good as Sumos. If you are looking for the perfect combination of fried rice and wings look no further. I have always received great service when ordering food from Sumo. Their staff is always very polite and they are very organized. There have been many times where I have ordered during busy hours and they have still managed to deliver on time. Thank you so much for bringing this delicious food and business to my local area. I will continue to order from and dine in at Sumo.

We ate here a couple times & idk why the reviews say negative things, but we enjoyed our meals while we dined in. We loved the garlic parmesan wings! The other options like wings and fried rice or fries was so good! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat or just someone who loves wings!
Definitely coming here again! food was great and reasonably priced, the actual store felt really clean and well-taken care of, wait times weren’t too long (got our food in around 10-15 minutes), service was friendly. and the fried rice didn’t feel like rice with a few other things here and there, there was actually a LOT of veggies/meat. very pleasantly surprised!
What a gem! I order the 10 wings with house fried rice and it does not disappoint! The portions are also generous. I definitely suggest trying this joint and passing it around to your friends.
Was told to give this place another shot; so we did and here goes;1. Wings were fried too hard and not edible.2. French fries- Ore-Ida frozen- which would have been fine; some were undercooked and just not good others were frozen tasting.3. Entire meal was not good- overall- blah!4. Wings do not need to be fried so hard and the wing sauce was quite greasy.5. Cooks not wearing a mask yet order takers were; does not seem to make sense- when we inquired we were never given a real answer.Could be a good place but three strikes and done!
First time visiting I ordered fried rice and garlic wings. I was impressed with the portion of rice at a reasonable price. The wings were lightly season flavored. Overall the meal was exceptional.

10 Wings mild Hibachi House With Fried rice😫 Worse Hibachi Ive ever tasted. I ordered it from Uber eats. I even paid a delivery fee. I tipped 20%. It took over an hour and a half to get my food. I came to visit my grandbaby thought I would treat the family with some food. The picture looked like it would be a lot so I ordered it It was $55 and it was like going to a gas station and it was horrible Im so disappointed and I spent way too much money I could have treated everybody to McDonalds and could KFC and breakfast for this amount Im so disappointed I will never try this again and Im very disappointed with Uber eats I first time Ive ever used them and I will never do it again!If you see my reviews Im very fair and I always usually give a good review and I always try to look for the good but this it was crazy Its a rice was mushy the food was overcooked and the wings were like they came out of a frozen bag and they cost $15 really come on. Im from out of town and it had a 4.5 rating so I really thought it was going to be good Dont ever order from this place Im telling you its disgusting now I have to go to bed hungry. Im not going to waste my energy chewing this food. I spread it out on a platter so that we could share this is what we got so you tell me what you think. And they didnt even send me the soy sauce that I asked for. Oh and the Yum yum sauce taste like expired mayonnaise

My husband and I love this place!!! We order wings for pick up from here usually twice a week in large quantities of about 75 each time and they are always so quick. Our personal favorite flavors are honey BBQ, and lemon pepper. We LOVE their yum yum sauce. Very clean establishment as well.Don’t stop what you guys have going on!
Just visited yesterday for the first time to pick up some wings! Prices are descent and the wings were crispy yet delicious. I also ordered beef friend rice which literally could have fed the whole family. BIG portion!

Oh my goodness! The food was so good. As a matter of fact, I tried it with my Mom the other day while out shopping. It was my first time. The food is amazingly delicious!! Went here today and I gotta say, this food is NASTY. No clue why their reviews are so high.. the food tasted so off..the chicken didnt taste fresh, and everything was bland even with the yum yum sauce on top. I noticed that their customers were majority high school and middle school kids who hang out and eat here.. I think theyve inflated the reviews since kids will probably eat anything. The food is gross. I threw it away after a couple of bites.
Food is good, but kitchen staff dont wear masks. There were 3 or 4 kitchen staff and none of them were wearing masks. Cashiers wear masks, but one didnt wear his mask properly. There are signs to wear masks when entering the restaurant, but a man walked in without a mask and was not told to wear one. It was my first time there today and was disappointed in how they are handling the pandemic. Probably wont be going again until the pandemic settles down.
Look their catfish looks like Tilapia. Most annoying is that the cashier is arguing with all her might about everything.
Wings are so good, they have a decent amount of flavors too. I love if you take your food to go, after your food is done they open your platter in front ofYou so you can see your food and make sure it’s up to par. I thought that was really cool and unique, you don’t see that often. Quick service and clean inside. Will be back again!
Ordered the chicken fried rice to go. When I got home the rice didnt have the taste it usually did so moments later I called back Sumo asking if I could exchange the fried rice meal to the chicken hibachi meal. With no hesitation the lady on the phone with me said it was fine and that they will have it ready for me when I pick it up. Their staff is very friendly and polite. Sumo never disappoints and theyre food is always great. Very glad the portion is good for two people to share. Will definitely be coming here often and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great fast food.
In 2015, this place was great! However since that time, they’ve had new owners and turnover in workers and the food is not the same,. Not even the once delicious lemon pepper wings, rice and fries. They just can’t get the fries right! They use old oil and old fries and they look horrible and taste horrible! I’ve tried and tried to give them a chance, but I’m done so are my co-workers. Very disappointing
I visited for the first time last night and I got the lemon pepper wings. They were so good! Definitely different from the other lemon pepper wings Ive had in the past and they didnt disappoint. The only reason why I didnt give 5 stars is because I called in my order and was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I waited over 10 minutes before leaving my house because I live really close. By the time I got there it had been a little over 15 minutes, but I still had to wait an additional 10+ minutes for my food to be ready. It kind of defeated the purpose of calling it in which was a little frustrating. But overall my experience was good
I have been going here for the past few years and am so glad I found this place. All the staff is always very nice over the phone and in person. They are very fast and efficient and the food is great! I love the wings special with hibachi rice. Wish they were open on Sundays though, especially during NFL season!

Another hidden gem. Perched in the plaza near LA fitness, its pretty much gourmet food, delivered fast. If you want hibachi on a budget, this is awesome. And then wings here are great too. Mix up the flavors like hot & garlic parmesan. They can almost custom whatever you want. Everything on the menu is great. Definitely recommend.
Best hot wings in Johns Creek! Food is always hot and fresh. Speedy and friendly service, always clean. Decent wait times even when they are slammed. Suggestion: call ahead got to go orders during lunch and dinner rush. They are busy for a good reason! 😉

Small, busy place with lots of takeout business. The hibachi, fried rice, and wings were all delicious. The prices were reasonable and portion sizes were quite large, so you could probably share 2 meals among 3 people, or maybe even one meal for 2.
I love this place! I have been coming in for years. Lots of good wing flavors, really good fried rice, good hibachi. I would definitely recommend the sumo special of 10 wings and fried rice, great amount of food for a decent price.
This was such a big disappointment. I was hungry and had no idea what to get for dinner. So I figured you cant go wrong with wings, right? After a 30 min wait for 5 wings, chicken fingers and fries, we ended up tossing the food in the trash. The wings were so dry and overcooked. It had absolutely no flavor and was pretty much like chewing on crispy cardboard. My 9 year old ordered chicken fingers and french fries and after one bite, refused to eat it. Im just shocked by all these great reviews...clearly my tastebuds are the problem.
I really like this place, it is a lot food. I usually get rice with double meat and wings. Dont forget Yumyum souse ;) it is not cheapest place but it clean and has portions.
Service was very good. I think they were a victim of their own success. It was so crowded it took me 32 minutes just to get my food. In the process I watched several people walked out because they knew it would be so long time to get the food their food. So I say just choose the time you eat there very wisely. They have phone in orders that seems to work very well. If theyre extremely busy they wont answer the phone.
This is the best place to order some wings. Their wings are very spicy and tasty. I love their Sumo Wings Combo. The tea and peach drink is delicious, as well as their yum-yum sauce. I dont know what they put in that stuff, but its addicting!

Food is fantastic but be prepared to wait 10 to 15 minutes for them to have your order ready at lunch time. They make it fresh on the spot and the Hibachi takes awhile to come out.

Place is nice, great customer service but the food was just okay. I got hibachi shrimp. It didnt seem authentic, its missing something seemed rush. Ive been to over Hibachi express and was satisfied this just wasnt up to my taste.
First time here and I probably wont return. I ordered chicken fried rice and the chicken looks like chicken liver pieces. I picked out the chicken and just ate the rice. The wings were okay but some of them looked like chicken nuggets. Im not sure where their meet comes from but it doesnt seem like real chicken.

My first time entering Sumo Habachi, I was a little discouraged with the customer service; 2 young guys were at the register laughing and playing so I left. Went back weeks later it was much better and the food was AWESOME!
The menu is relatively simple, they serve a small assortment of hibachi, wings, sandwiches, fried rice, and salads. However, most people come in only for the hibachi plates. I ended up splitting a chicken hibachi ($5.99) with a friend; I wasnt feeling hungry at the time.The wait was a little longer than expected (~8 min), but kinda glad that they cook everything fresh to order then. The hibachi is served on these massive black plates in large portions. Each hibachi plate also comes with a side of yum yum sauce, the sweet mayo-based dip that often comes with sushi. In addition, they offer the sweet teriyaki sauce and sriracha if you want to kick things up a notch. I loved the char of the chicken; there was a slight crispiness on the edges but still juicy in the middle. The teriyaki sauce they used to cook with however was overpowering, a little bit too salty for my taste. The fried rice was okay, quality similar to the fried rice they serve at Chinese takeout restaurants.For the price and portions they serve, its hard to beat. Although the food may not be outstanding, this restaurant is a perfect alternative to getting Chipotle when in the area, and will fill you up too.
Finally! A food place you actually get what you pay for and then some. Taste is excellent. Service is friendly. Fast enough to get on lunch break. The salmon is amazing.

2022-06-01Great wings, rice, fries made to order! The food is soooo good!!!! I recommend the company hire individuals who want to work there. I visit this place often and I don’t come across many cashiers here with any form of customer service. This is very important since this is the first face you encounter when walking into the restaurant. Overall, great food!

2022-05-09This place never disappoints! The wing special is priced right, and the serving is more than adequate. We are huge fans of their wet lemon pepper sauce, but I’m sure the other flavors are great too!

2022-07-14My wife & I are willing to revise this review strictly based on management calling to address, share protocol for food and health compliance and FULL reimbursement of the take out order received last night which infested our home with over a dozen flies in ADDITION to the worm my wife spit out followed by my complete and utter disbelief and gag induced mania and torment from the most disgusting food take order of infested garbage excuse for food. I strongly advise a call for not only action and sanitation provisions ALONG w personal call to acknowledge this injustice remitting FULL reimbursement for cost of meal less tip driver. My intent is only to bring awareness to you directly, not to campaign against you. I will expect from tomorrow and look forward to hearing about new provisions to prevent a potentially serious health hazard and/or law suit. 2022-05-27The food here is always fresh, hot & cooked to order. You get alot of food for the money. Never disappointed. I drive from Auburn, GA(Dacula area) to Johns Creek to eat here even though there is one in Hamilton Mill. It all depends on whos cooking. Thats why I drive.

2020-12-10Wow! Amazing experience on my first visit.The menu prices are fair, service was super quick, and restaurant was clean. Shocked at how great the quality is for the price. I ordered the Sumo Special, which is wings, fried rice, and a drink. I was expecting a small portion of flavorless fried rice given the great price, and instead, I was shocked at not only how much I was given, but also at how great it tastes. The wings are also awesome!Needless to say, Ive got a new favorite for asian on the fly!

2022-08-12Amazing wings and the best chicken fried rice, as i have eaten and tried so many expensive restaurants but this is the best place to eat any food on the menu as the food is cooked on the spot .

2019-08-28This place is popular right now because it just opened so time will tell if they are consistent, but it was very clean and the food was cooked well. It was full of people when we arrived, but service moved quick and so did the customers. Very lively place The employees were nice and it felt very laid back. This place attracts teenagers so keep that mind.

2020-02-06Very good little spot for fast Hibachi. Eaten here several times. They give you a ton to eat so you will not go away hungry. I usually get the combination with all three, Chicken/Steak/Shrimp. Love their yum yum sauce. Service is always good and the place is clean.
