Don’t get me wrong the food is really good here but my experience as far as delivery goes gets 2 thumbs down from me... I called them for delivery (Person who answered the phone Wendy) because I am working and they tried to up charge me $21.00 for 1 order (chicken fried rice and sweet and sour chicken)?? I hung up and called Lin’s bistro where they were only charging $12.00 for the same order!! They were being so complicated over the phone and communication was very poor... great place for TAKE OUT ONLY!!! Take it from me I grew up eating at Chinese restaurants in New York City all of my life!!
Ordered here for the first time. The food was delicious!!! I had Veggie Egg Foo Young and General Tsaoa chicken. I am definitely going to order here again. I ordered take out and the woman at the front counter was super friendly and made me feel welcome when I arrived to pick up my food.
Not only was the food good, the service was beyond AMAZING! Its been a hot minute since Ive been to a restaurant in the Buford area where the food had actual flavor and some spice to it (if asked for). They also had fresh-made decent boba. However, the best part of this place is the great service. You can feel chill and light while sharing a good laugh with the staff. I would DEFINITELY come back here soon.
Okay, I might be a little biased but that’s because I’ve tried the other Chinese restaurants nearby. This one is hands down, the best in town. From the crispy egg rolls, to the steamed rice (even brown), the hot & sour soup, and, !díos mío¡ the Mandarin Chicken is bomb!! 🤤 My husband always gets upset because he deviates from it and tries something else, but still wishes he was noming on the citrus saucy, & crispy chicken goodness that is the Mandarin Chicken. We order from here at least 1-2x/month and it is always delicious. I only wish I didn’t have cravings for them on Mondays. *sigh*
Cold food, Lies, says what ever to get you off the phone. 1-10-2020 I ordered delivery and was told it would take about fifty minutes no problem. I ordered at 6:20 PM finally at about 7:45 I called to check on delivery, I was told the deliveries had been mixed and I stated that I didnt want cold food. The girl on phone kept asking the manager what to do, finally she said she would need to call me back. When she called back she said I could cancel order or they would make new food and bring it in about ten minutes. Finally at 8:05 the food arrived, I ask the delivery man had the order been redone and was it fresh, he said yes (my mistake not checking food before man left). When we opened the food it was all cold and obviously we had received the food from 6:20. I called restaurant and told girl they had not remade order and food was cold, she tried to reassure it had been remade (not) I then ask for the manager and after A pause she said she had just stepped out, i ask for her to have manage call me. The manager did call back, said her name was Mandy and I explained to her what had happened (like she didnt know she had made all the decisions) she said the food had not been remade and the reason was it was out for delivery. I could write three more pages about how she didnt take care of the problem, I ask for the owners name and number, she refused (I asked four times) then she suggested I go elsewhere. I called the next day and was told that Mandy is the owner, I wasnt surprised.
We are new to the area. Found this place several months ago. My whole family loves it. The food is great! Ms. Gina is the best waitress in the world. She is so kind and friendly. Also, the place is not real crowded. There is usually no wait. For our family, that is a big plus (we hate to be hungry and have to wait).
Very disappointed to first see a score of 88 posted upon arriving to pickup my lunch, then to arrive home and see that the egg drop soup recipe is missing another ingredient...? a few years ago they stopped using the onions, until they took them out completely, however the thickness of the broth was still there. Today I got yellow water with a little egg mixture and literally about 5 of the little crunchy bits. My garlic chicken had very little chicken in it, and I ordered 2 other meals, so it is safe to say that I will not be ordering from Sun garden again, and I have eaten at this restaurant for years, and have noticed changes over the years to include the temporary closing. Very disappointed!!
When we first tried this restaurant the food was pretty good.Ordered take out tonight and part of my order was missing, called the restaurant and the young guy at the counter acted like he did not care. The portion containers they used had shrunk in size as if your customers would not notice?Ordered cashew shrimp and they put a white sauce on it that tasted like clear jell with no flavor! The vegetables were literally raw.Very bad experience. Save your money and go some where else.Very disappointed, will not go back!!!
While the type of food prepared was not good to me, some love it. I had the pork egg foo yung and it was not prepared the why I am accustom to. They put the dry egg patties on top of a bed of vegetables consisting of broccoli, baby corn, squash, zucchini and carrots this was not good to me. But the food was fresh and the restaurant is very clean. So while it did not please me you may have a different experience so try it.
I have been there several times. When I asked the lady there, how far they can deliver food, I was told It was 10 miles. Today, a very rude Chinese lady refused to deliver food to my house; claiming my address is out their delivery radius. Even though, I only live 7 miles away from them. The lady was very rude, and it wont even let me explain that I only live 7 miles away from this place. I would have understood, if they could not deliver food at this time because they are busy. There are better to communicate things to customer without making them feel bad. Im not coming back to this place ever again. The food is not that good anyways. You guys just lost a customer for life. Think clearly next time you refuse to deliver food to a house.
This place has great chinese food! Their hot and sour soup is THE best my family has ever eaten! We would come here just for that if thats all they served...seriously! Just the right blend of sour verses heat! The owners are friendly and always remember you...some of the waiters and waitresses lack a little bit of bed side manner but we come here for the food anyway. They serve you well, they just dont all have the best personalities. Maybe its a culture barrier. Lol Either way, we LOVE this place and its got great portions for the money! This has always been our Sunday restaurant when craving Chinese!
I usually get the dinner for 2, I can say the sweet and sour chicken is good and I enjoyed the peppersteak. The interior itself looks nice and their prices are fair. I like their eggrolls and the service is good. I must take 1 star away because their hot and sour soup is a bit disappointing. doesnt look appetizing and tastes bland. overall a good place to eat chinese. 4/5 stars
We ordered from here and it was not a good experience. First off the food arrived late then the driver was asking for cash when we already paid via card, so we had to call the restaurant so they can explain to the driver. Then the food was cold since it was 30 mins late and the food had no taste. We will not be eatting from here again.
Had a family gathering dinner in celebrating my husband and daughter bday tonite..Ordered 7 kind of dishes and overall they all were great in taste and flavor...Good service even the lady owner offered us the delicious fried donuts as soon as she found out its their both bday! Definitely will come back again !!!
Ive been going here for years, its always good for dine in and carry out. I literally have three to go menu in my house. They have a good choice in both vegetarian options and for multiple pallets depending on your mood, from happy people to lovely food, this is my go to for ordering at my house and taking my little brothers out for a filling meal.
Hello to all my dear Daculians, Bufordians, Hamilton Millians. I don’t usually write reviews but i felt like i had the need to write one this time. So i ordered the so called “Supreme Seafood platter” (20$+) and what i got was a “Supreme Imitation Platter”. Let me be more specific.. This so called “supreme “ plate had ONE crab leg or less than that since it was cut into pieces , 3 scallops, 4 shrimps, some old vegtables that looked like they came from a backyard garden and last and definitely least a ton of imitation crab meat. Im not a person to complain but if you’re buisness if going to offer a plate thats over 20$ dont go full-out Made in China on a consumer thats willing to pay good money for your food service, give more quality to the ones who make your buisness run. Thats my review, hope this saved anyones 20$+.
Ordered takeout in person. Friendly staff, food came pretty quickly, howerever the order was wrong and the food was mediocre. The brown sauce was soupy and bland. I ordered Hunan Shrimp which I expect to be shrimp in a spicy brown sauce and they gave me a second duplicate chicken and broccoli instead.
I must say this was the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Its hard to believe NOTHING had any flavor; I had to drown the food in sauces, and still nothing. Also, didnt expect all the meet to be fried in tempura. Believe me when I say, youre better off going to Panda Express as to not waste a bunch of money.
I got two soups and a fried rice to go. Fried rice was very bland.Containers for soup were smaller than what I typically get at most local Chinese. However, the eggdrop was better than most and my husband enjoyed the extra shrimp and veggies in his wonton soup so that did offset the higher price.
The best Chinese Restaurant we have visited continously and regularly for the past 10 years. The food is great, and so is the service. The chef Peter and the owner Ms. Mandy are to be complemented for all the hard work they put in. We recommend everyone to take a trip to the Sun Garden. Atul and Jayashree Laddu, Suwanee, GA
If you are in the Dacula area do not order food from Sun Garden at Braselton HWY and Gravel Springs. We found at least 10 bugs in the meal. Luckily Gibson was not a fan so he ate spaghetti-os. This was the first and last time we try them out.Saw this on Facebook about this place!! 🤢🤢GROSS!

2022-03-23Visited Sun Garden for the first time today. Imagine my surprise to see that I had the entire restaurant to myself! There was literally no one else there...That probably shouldve been my first clue!I dined in.This server who appeared to be the wife of the owner came over to take my order, very promptly. My food was delivered very promptly. Nothing extraordinary about the food it was your average Hunan chicken. There was a particular almost sour taste to the chicken however. I hope it has nothing to do with the fact that now I see that this restaurant has an 86 food rating! I hope it was actually chicken that I was eating! Lol (I think!)But anyway, remember I mentioned I was the only one in the restaurant... However the server never came back to check on me. I had to literally get up and find someone to ask them for duck sauce for my eggroll.Eggroll = duck sauce! (In my mind at least!) When I asked for duck sauce, she looked at me as if I had two heads! She said you want the duck sauce packets? (Insert much attitude here!)I said yes if thats all you have. She disappeared and came back a few minutes later with like 10 packs of duck sauce. Lady I seriously only had one eggroll... Sorry I set you off by asking for Duck Sauce!A lot of attitude plus a less than average meal equals me never returning! There you go, problem solve... Keep your darn duck sauce!

2020-12-10Still searching for our go-to Chinese place in or around 30045! Pretty decent place. Good menu. The food still is not our favorite but we would go back if nothing else appealed to us. We ordered: egg rolls, wonton soup, tempura shrimp, hot and sour soup, moo goo gai pan and orange flavored chicken. The sauces on the entrees were thin and not enough . I would definitely order double the sauce or Id make my own, but why, when you order some? I prefer enough sauce to go on the rice. MY moo goo sauce has chicken broth, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, green onions and corn starch for thickening but normally the velveting process of the chicken thickens the broth nicely. The sauce from here tasted more like just chicken broth. I added 3 pkgs of soy sauce and it added the much needed flavor. The chicken was plentiful! The veggies were fresh as expected so no complaints there! I asked for no mushrooms or baby corn so mine came with bok choy (needed more), brocolli, carrots, snow peas and water chestnuts. All my favorite! The wonton soup was not like one Id ever seen before. 3 wontons and mixed in was shredded chicken and an assortment of vegetables. It was nice but not the kind Im looking for when I dont feel good just the soup broth and wontons please. But otherwise it was great. The hot and sour soup was again too thin, were used to seeing it thicker, also not sour enough nor spicy! We added some more rice wine vinegar and a touch of hot sauce and it was much better. The egg rolls were hard to tell what was in them but Im thinking mostly cabbage, sprouts and some carrot, not sure if there was a protein in there. The contents looked to have been run through a food processor first and then filled, looked a bit ominous. Again really no flavor by itself added soy and duck sauce to open up the flavor. They were okay like that. The sauce on the orange flavored chicken again was very thin. Not sure what the difference was between the orange chicken and orange flavored chicken was... usually the battered and fried chicken thickens the sauce... The fried rice was nothing to rave about either just plain rice and some egg and the rice was not crispy at all. I want to see my rice with fried egg, green peas, a pinch of carrots, sprouts and onions and lots of crispy peices of rice! The tempura shrimp was good. We had to throw them in our hot air fryer to crisp them back up but that is to be expected when food is packaged fresh and hot! The fried stuff tends to get steamed and needs a little crisping. No big deal! Over all not bad food and maybe our second favorite but still not meeting our search for our favorite! Id say well go back and try some different things but on the whole well keep searching!

2018-01-02I had lunch and chose seasame chicken with spring roll, fried rice, and hot and sour soup. The portion sizes were a little smaller than most places but more than adequate to fill me up. The soup was very good to me although it was spiced with black pepper which usually isnt my favorite. The seasame chicken was awesome, as well as the spring roll! My server quickly greeted me, took my order, and was constantly checking on me. This place deserves a five star rating in my opinion.

2021-11-20Orange chicken tasted like it was out of the frozen box. No taste. Not good for a Chinese restaurant. Could have done better doing it myself from prepackaged box. Staff was nice and place was clean. Hence the 3 stars.
