My 5 1/2 year old has been here since he was 18 months. He swam on the St Marlo Seals swim team as a 4 year old in the 4 to 6 year old group last June, beating 4, 5, and 6 year olds in qualifying for the team. If that doesnt speak to the quality of instruction, I dont know what could. It is sad to see the unhappy reviews as I have never had a negative interaction with any of the staff, and Ive had plenty of time to talk to his instructors about his progress and where we need to focus to move him to the next level. While there is no guarantee my son will be interested in competitive swimming in the long run, he is starting from a very strong position and will not be held back for lack of quality instruction and guidance. In 7 months, my 11 month old will be on the same path. Nothing can be more important than drown proofing your child at an early age, and if they fall in love with swimming, its just about the perfect life long sport. I am extremely happy with our experience at Swim Atlanta!
When I signed up it was two people who were extremely nice. The instructor and one office member. Now that I signed up my son for group lessons, the instructor is still great but the people out front are rude !!!!!! Im not happyWith the way they talk to people and not understanding at all !!!! Not all children learn the same nor do they react the same. Ive never met this lady but one time today but she definitely needs to check herself.Never investing money into this place again.
We were very pleased with our recent experience at SwimAtlanta over spring break. We have spent months at a different swim facility with no improvement for my sons swimming abilities. Within one week at SwimAtlanta he was going under water and swimming. These teachers genuinely care about your child learning to swim. I would highly recommend.
This Place is a joke,if it werent for the instructors Id say this place has nothing going for it. the manager is never around. It seems like this place has recently acquired scheduling issues. everyone is always scrambling. i recently spoke with some employees who said that management has changed and has been making changes throughout the facility. I would say that was a bad call. Aerial was great about making arrangements for parents when it come to get your kids in classes. ill be going to swim Kids.
I have been going to this place for 4 years now and my son learned swimming at this location. We got excellent teachers. Now I joined back again for my daughter and at our first class I had bad experience with swim teacher name Liz she was rude to my daughter and she was crying after she was done with her first class. So I requested in office to change my time and teacher and staff was very helpful. And owner of this place Ms. Jennifer is awesome. We only had problem with Liz she has attitude problem and she needs serious help.
Both of my kids have learned to swim at Swim Atlanta Johns Creek. We continue to come back to swim Atlanta for their unparalleled instruction and longer swim classes. The week long classes are fantastic and really give a jump start to the kids swimming level. The staff is always friendly and most importantly, my kids love coming to swim Atlanta!!!
I read the reviews on Yelp as well. Tried this facility anyway. There are some definite, serious service issues here in management. Jennifer can turn a whole day into a nightmare. Very rude. Abbrasive. please work on improving the customer experience at this location. You owe it to your customers to get it together. On the other hand, the instructors, Chris and Tara, were why I came back for privates. Chris was awesome and encouraging. Tara works wonderfully with the children.
DEFINITION: whats a good teacher, you ask - - -Good teachers are good learners; for example, they learn by participating in a variety of activities with their students, by listening to their students, and by reflecting on classroom interactions and students’ achievements. - SHAY was my young childs teacher and we cant say more positive, and glowing remarks about her!DEFINITION of Good teacher: they display enthusiasm for their subject and a desire to share it with their students: Liz, my kid **ADORES** HER!!!!Then you ask about the management: J E N N I F E R is one of those people that demonstrates how to be a · Good teacher · by showing respect for their students (again, we value her so) - we drive from East Cobb to John Creek; Jennifer seems interested in both their professional standards of her administrative & swim team and growth of her students; she is very encouraging for their independence, and sustains high expectations of students and staff alike!Need I say more. . .
SwimAtlanta Johnscreek is the best swimming school I have known .They treat the students and the parents so friendly. They answer to each and every questions of yours. The teachers are so friendly and loving to the kids, that they know them by their names(every single kid).My daughter enjoys going to the swimming class here. Im so happy that I chose SwimAtlanta Johnscreek for my daughter.
Please stay away from them. Front desk is very rude and unprofessional.Updated on 11/16: I got an email from SwimAtlanta today informing me that they do not appreciate my review and partially reiterating what happened and most importantly informing me *they would appreciate if I do not come back their business in future.*Now this is unbelievable customer service, instead of working on the issue they send such communications. Rest assured SwimAtlanta you will not have my business ever again.
Very rude, unfriendly customer service!! The lady that I talked got really irritated for no reason and raised her voice!! Cant believe that we are with them for some time. All I wanted is to know if I could communicate with the coach regarding the level that we just finished. I think its time to move to another swim lesson provider.

2022-06-03Very poorly organized. The pool is dirty. Front desk is extremely rude. Will never use this place again. You’re better off teaching your own kids how to swim.

2021-05-07If Rocky Balboa swam instead of boxed he would train at this pool. It is spartan in Decor with banners of past students who made it to the Olympics, current records by age and a perfect timing clock. My kids learned to swim in the small wading pool and the one lane lesson pool.Noon open swim. Clean everywhere. Nice little store.Get it done!

2020-09-02I love this place. I must say the bathrooms could use one more shower (girls locker room has two showers currently). But!! the staff and the teachers make up for everything. Very caring and seems like a great place to take swimming lessons. My daughter has been taking lessons for two years and we paused due to COVID but we cant wait to go back!

2019-12-30The instructors are very friendly and helpful. They guide you step by step and help you when needed. The pool, however, is sometimes dirty. Getting into the swim team is tough because of the number of kids applying. You may have to enroll in advance as the spots get filled up fast. Overall, my kid loved it there.

2018-06-19My kids have been swimming at Swim Atlanta for several months now and I can’t say enough good things about this program. My oldest has autism and has excelled very quickly with Liz as his instructor. We’re hoping he’ll go up a level by the end of the summer. My youngest just started and has had several different instructors all are amazing. Let’s not forget the front desk girls. LOVE Jennifer and all the girls. We’ll be here for a long while. Thanks for teaching Easton and Dylan.

2018-04-24My daughter was always very scared of swimming because she didnt like getting her face wet. But after Spring Break 3 day courses, she was able to blow bubbles and feel more comfortable in water. Now she is looking forward to her swimming classes. We intend to continue her swimming lessons at Swim Atlanta. Instructors are great. They are very friendly.

2018-04-06My son and daughter just had 4 days of group lessons with Hilary at Swim Atlanta Johns Creek. They really enjoyed it and I thought she did a great job directing them. She especially pushed my daughter, who can be tough to motivate and a boss--it was good to see and I appreciated Hilarys style with her! The class had about 5 kids in it and Hillary kept it paced so they actually fit in a lot. My kids have been on swim team in our neighborhood for the last 2 years, so they were not novices, but they were a little rusty. I think the facility is a bit old, but this is our second experience here (last about 1 year ago), and it has been cleaned up quite a bit. I watched them through the waiting room window, and although the waiting room is not luxurious, it has MUCH improved since our last visit--that was on of the big reasons we delayed returning--last time it was pretty bad. Our experiences with the coaches have been really good (most important thing to me), so since my children are interested at improving, we have planned additional group and private lessons. As far as feedback, I had no problem getting feed back from Hilary. I just asked, and at the end of the class, we got a breakdown on what the kids worked on and her thoughts on things to focus on and things achieved. This was our experience...hope it helps someone else!

2018-04-06My daughter signed up for the spring break swim lessons for four days and she had an excellent time! Miss Casey was her coach and she was amazing with the kids. My daughter was a bit intimated in the first two days but on the third day, she was able to do the pancake float :D We are signing up for a monthly lesson with Miss Casey and hope she will be able to swim on her own soon!
