Great place to learn or practice wakeboarding. My kids had an awesome time during summer camp, the counselors were super nice, and good with their instructions and help to encourage the kids to keep trying. And then the water park is the highlight of the day either during camp or any random weekend day. will continue going there although is 1:10 away from home
The two large pools and total of four floating zones at Terminus Wake Park welcome children and adults, experts and total beginners. For anyone who doesn’t know what wake boarding is, it is what snowboarding is to skiing, with the boarder strapped in to a single large board before being towed by a motorboat or line. The largest cable wake part in the United States, Terminus boasts a learn-to-ride cable for those fearful of not knowing what to do, and an inflatable obstacle course over the water called the Aqua Park for anyone who prefers slipping and sliding to wake boarding. The center is less than 10 km southeast of Cartersville, in Emerson.
Terminus Wake Park is the antidote weve all been searching during this pandemic. Whether youve never wake boarded before or youre a seasoned rider, this park has something for everyone at every level. Its a fun environment, the staff is absolutely stellar with their attention to detail and friendliness, and it cannot be more fun for the whole family. Its by far the best outdoors activity in the Atlanta area! You get to meet riders from the area and share ideas, tips, tricks, everyone is very supportive of your level and makes this a collective, summer camp-like experience. If you enjoy being outdoors, getting refreshed by jumping in the lake, and meeting healthy people who enjoy a fun sport - make sure you make your way to Terminus as much as you can this summer....so grateful we have this in our backyard!
Great place! Love that there are 2 cables running at all times so one can always be slow for the younger kids or beginners. The Astroturf around the lakes and in common areas is amazing and the loungers, pick-nick tables and storage containers are awesome places to hang out. We stayed at the Hampton Inn right on the far side of the bigger lake and never even had to get on the road to get to and from Terminus! Cant wait to come back and stay longer next time!
Terminus puts a lot of thought into making sure everyone has fun, whether you’re riding or hanging out; watching! They have comfortable places to hang in the shade or sun, for hole and other yard activities, and a staff person came around offering cold, wet towels to cool off on a hot day! The staff are friendly and encouraging to beginners. My son wasn’t catching on and they were so kind to coach him and cheer loudly the first time he got up on the board. I thought this would be a one-time experience but we had such a great experience, will definitely be back!
The facility is pretty new and generally nice, though it was still under construction. It will be nicer when the bathrooms and store building see finished. The artificial turf was hot in the sun, so be sure to bring flip flops or other footwear for when your not boarding. The instructor for our 9yo was great. The price seemed high, but there was a pretty good crowd so obviously not too high.
Super fun place to wake board, but expect to wait around a lot!! Really enjoyed learning how to do this at a wake park bc its very different then being behind a boat. Also really interesting pulley system that lets you try different jumps and fun stuff, but the only problem with learning here is that they tell you its only 10 people per session block but its more like 25 people. You are waiting around a long time to go again so maybe 5x in your 2 hours....bummer!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the wake park. The kids fell in love w the on water obstacle course and they already are asking to go back. We had some grown folk attempting to wake board and they absolute loved it! The hostess was so sweet, professional and communication was on point. We really LOVED our experience. Even w a small snaffu, the hostess made us aware and her customer service was immediate and very much appreciated. We will be back!! Loved it!!
Me and my (currently 14 y/o) daughter have been here numerous times. We really enjoy coming here. My absolute favorite part is how friendly and helpful the staff is, particularly at the launch points. Its a bunch of young men who have more experience in their pinky than most of us have in our whole bodies; but, they do not look down or talk down to people. They want people to succeed and have fun. JUST MAKE SURE you speak up and tell them what your experience is (or lack of), if youre a first-timer, or what youre having difficulty with and they will help. I also appreciate that they only sell a certain number of passes at a time to keep the lines smaller. Do yourself a favor and get your pass online before you go so you get the time slot you want. Dont forget to fill out the waiver, too. Walk up, get your band, and go!
Probably one of the most amazing wake parks in the world. The staff is so friendly, and the people that operate the cables always make sure that every new rider can get up on the board and ride and have a good time. And the features that they have are all great and the park just looks amazing. 10/10 wake park, wouldn’t want to be closer to any other park.
Terminus is located in the lakepoint sports community in Emerson. There a large variety of activities, restaurants, and hotels. Terminus holds various events and competitions. They have shop with a good variety of gear u can buy or rent. They have a beginner and advanced lake as well as other activities u can participate in. The staff is helpful and friendly.
I had an amazing time at the Moms & Mimosas event on 7/17! Special thanks to Mattie, Savannah, Cayden, Seth & Casey for all their great coaching, encouragement and operating skills to make sure all the moms felt success and had lots of fun. We even had some bonus time at the aqua park which was a wonderful way to feel like a kid again. Don’t hesitate to sign up for this event!!!
Cool water park. The Aqua Park obstacle section was a blast. 45 minutes doesnt seem like a long time but the kids and parents were wore out! We didnt do wake boarding, but it looked to be running smoothly and everyone was having a good time.*Just be aware that they shut down until a thunderstorm is 10 miles out. They do have Cornhole, frisbees and footballs to throw around while you wait for the storm to clear out.
My family and I been to terminus before and i truly love coming here although I’m terrified of water and can’t swim to save my life (the life vest makes me feel really secure) but I just want to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE SHOUT OUT TO COURTNEY & KAM they literally made our experience 10x more fun they were so sweet and helpful I felt like they were friends who was hanging out with the fam ( they were still working though lol) we just had an overall great experience with them they were really encouraging to the little ones making them feel safe and secure jumping into the water, promising to save them if anything were to happen. Their number one priority was making sure we had a great time and I really appreciated that great customer service you ladies are the best, can’t wait to come back!
This place is awesome! I took my kids for my birthday and we couldn’t have had a better day. The staff was very encouraging and supportive to all the different skill levels of riders. They made it a priority to help my Kids get up on the wakeboards since it was their first time. By the time I left I was looking for more information on summer camps and birthday party bookings because we had so much fun. Reed, Evelyn, Thomas, and another young lady were our operators and deckhands and they all did a great job in making sure we had a great day. Thank you all. We will be back for sure.
Our first experience at Terminus and it was awesome! My teens (3) did the one-on-one lessons first with Jackson and his encouragement and enthusiasm was amazing. He’s so personable and took the time to remember their names and address them accordingly. All of the staff that we interacted with was fantastic....EVERY.SINGLE.ONE! From checking in, getting rental gear, lessons, then finally being on the lakes. We went on to do the two hour experience after the lessons. The wait time on the beginners lake can be kinda long (10 - 12 minutes, maybe) even with just 8 or 9 people, so next time we’ll try to pick an off-peak time. When my newbie kids wanted to try the more advanced lake (the cables go faster), Trevor was encouraging and offered tips on form and technique. All gear was disinfected and I witnessed the staff wiping down surfaces often. They even have a clean restroom on site. I would recommend bringing your own travel chair if you’re just an observer as the common seating has been removed due to COVID. There are shaded areas where the chairs can be set up. Fun times, you should give it a try, we’ll be back!
Casey and his staff were super friendly and helpful...They all took care of us old guys at the park and made us feel like one of them. It was our first time on a cable and we had a blast. You are never too old to have fun like the young ones out there. The Aqua park is great for all ages too. It was amazing to see all the young kids do cool tricks. What a great place for kids and adults to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family.
The staff at Terminus has great customer service. They helped me find a wakeskate and get it shipped to me in time for my big lake trip. Specifically Savannah on their team went above and beyond to work directly with Liquid Force to track down the exact model I wanted even though supplies were short. She did it and my board even arrived really quickly despite me being located out of state. All of our interactions were strictly phone and the Terminus team was always quick to return all my calls and messages. Overall great service with a smile and I wish I was close to the park so I could ride it and thank them in person. Id be quick to recommend them to anyone in search of a board.
My kids have been attending Terminus for for the past several years... They started with multiple Summer Camps (beginner to advanced) and now have monthly memberships. Everyone at the park is there to serve and ensure you have a great time while helping you become a better rider along the way. I appreciate how they have always treated us like family even when we were new to the park. Great time for kids and adults alike!
The instructor for the beginner pool, Trevor, was absolutely amazing. My friend and I have never been wakeboarding before and he taught us both need tricks and how to start. Lauren and Heather were great in getting us started and ready to go for our first time. Definitely check this place out for some new adventure. Its the perfect place to have fun!!!!!
This place is awesome, my kids Had a blast. Very clean and well organized. ThE only thing I would improve is the Waiting areas for parents While kids play. There Are many sitting places but very few under shade (The ones under the shade were occupied) . When we went it was 95 degrees, and I had to wait in a seat with the sun hitting me straight for almost an hour, I was burning!
This place is spectacular! Its amazing how much thought and energy went into making this place truly amazing. The staff is so on top of it and the park is super cool. This is the first Wake Park of its kind in the US, and Im willing to bet nothing else in the country compares to this. I took my niece and nephew there for the day. The staff was really helpful and had great attitudes from everything to getting checked out, geared up, and trained for riding. Definitely worth a first visit and then youll be hooked!
My boys and I had a great time here. The facilities are super nice but the customer service is absolutely amazing! The single best customer service experience I think i have ever had. They did anything and everything within their means to make us happy. Thank you to the staff of Terminus to making us feel like family!
Our 9 year old daughter attended Terminus camp this year for the first time. She literally came home every day and said how much she loved this camp, and would like to go again! My husband and I were also very impressed, not only with the level of service, but how all of the employees interacted with the children. They were patient, encouraging, fun and made their stay memorable. The look on our daughter’s face was priceless when she learned to wakeboard the last day of camp. You could see the sense of accomplishment as they cheered for her, as she made her way around the lake. We will absolutely be attending again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Awesome place with great staff. Avery is an amazing instructor and made it super easy to get up on my first try. Excellent experience and highly recommend Terminus for kids and adults. Professional and patient staff and super nice facility. Looking forward to next time!
It has been a long time since Ive encountered outstanding customer service like we experienced at Terminus. Friendly, helpful, fun - from the check in staff, to the equipment staff, to the wake coach. Everyone was TOP NOTCH and so easy going. The wakeboard coach was incredible. Everyone there did their best to make the whole experience fabulous. Forgot what it felt like to get treated like a valued guest. They even mailed out a sweet follow up thank you note. Will be going back. This place is the BEST.
We had a blast at Terminus! We had never been wake boarding before, and Trevor, one of the staff members, spent so much time with us making sure we got the hang of it. Seriously top notch customer service— he really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time!
I can’t say enough about the staff. My son and I wakeboard there about twice per week. They are well trained, polite and put an extra effort into helping anyone that is new. They give you guidance and support on the dock and tips to make it easier. The regulars are patient and helpful with beginners as well so you will never feel intimidated or uncomfortable. If you struggle with wakeboarding, they have kneeboard s available to get you time on the water. Aqua park is great as well for the whole family. Watch for specials and days when they have food trucks and live music. It has a great vibe.
We just took a group here. They stay busy and had fun for hours! I definitely recommend this wake park. A few wake park have opened in the Southeast. We travel through this area often. Its a great way to cool off. We stopped by on our way back from vacation. We will be stopping again. The kids, young and old, loved the choices. It broke the monotony of a long car ride!. I will post some pics!
I promised myself I wanted to leave a review because I had such a great time the last time I visited. I first came to terminus when it was literally just a trailer and the lakes and it’s so crazy seeing that spot grow to where it is now. But also when I came a few weeks ago Emma helped me out so much and I was super grateful and am trying to come more often but had to give a shoutout for her patience and help! I’m a little rusty but definitely trying to get some reps in. Thank you!!
Having been to 5 other parks, this ones TOP NOTCH!! First off, theres plenty to do for the inevitable non wakeboarders in your family or group. Second, its not off in some remote or industrial area. The staff clearly cared about customer service. Both lakes were running all day and it seemed like the training cable was too. The board I rented was high quality and newish. Just a fantastic operation all around. Heck, the features (rails, kickers, etc.) are even the best ones Ive seen.If I lived anywhere within a couple hours, Id be making a monthly pilgrimage. If youre considering coming, you should.
Amazing staff! Avery was our son’s wake coach and I never thought he could do this. He was born with Down Syndrome and I wasn’t sure if he had the strength or balance but Avery knew otherwise! The smile on his face was priceless. Thank you to Avery and the entire staff for this experience.
First timer here, these guys were so encouraging, and great at tips and pointers. Every time I fell I was personally embarrassed but the workers here literally cheered me on till I got it! Definitely will come back many many more times! Laidback vibes this is a wake park for ALL ages.
We have come here Atleast 100 times and never had an issue. Then today I could not believe how rude the girls at the check in were. Not only did they all stink of marijuana one of the girls was so nasty to us we ended up just leaving and certainly won’t be back. We had friends that had never been before with us too and that certainly wasn’t an impression I wanted them to have. It’s too bad I used to love this place.
Been here for 1 hour and my son has had 2 attempts. He has been wake boarding for years behind a boat but never launched from a dock. They should limit the number of people they let in.30 minutes later; got the hang of it and having a blast. Many runs in. Very generous with the two hour limit.
Great vibe, great people, good set up for all ages and skill levels. Less than an hour from Atlanta and next to LakePoint Sports Complex so lots of outdoor activities for all. Camps, college night, and a cool shop with Liquid Force and Follow Wake gear and apparel. Takes a couple of laps to get used to the pull and lag but the features are like a skate park on water.
Absolutely amazing place full of fun activities such as a full size Aqua Park, Beginner Cable Lake, two full size Wakeboard Cable Lakes, Pro-Shop, and so much more. Did I mention the staff is ultra friendly and look after all quests no matter the need! Get out there and have a blast!
Staff was great. The rest of the experience, not so much. When the pulley was working ng, you had to watch all of the 10 yr old locals jump in line. System was down for 30 minutes and no communication. Again when it does run, there is no limit on how many laps, so at one point , 4 yearly pass owners were on taking at least 5 laps
This was awesome! My friends d took me here as he has been talking about it for ages. I expected something totally different. The staff was all super helpful with tips on how to wakeboard and actually correct the things I was doing wrong. For 4 hours plus rentals it was under $100 but I all.ost guarantee if its your first time you wont go the full 4 hours.
Awesome experience at Terminus! My daughter (age 9) was first time wakeboarder. She got up immediately and was able to make turns in the beginner area. On day 2, she got up on the intermediate course. Both my son (age 12) and I loved the ramps and obstacles. Will definitely go back!
Fun, I feel like the aqua Park is a little overpriced for just 45 minutes to take three kids I could almost get a season pass to Whitewater for 1. The staff is very nice and helpful, the line just so my kid can fall on her face in 2 seconds and have to wait in line again is a little frustrating.
It is a great place to sit in your car in the parking lot and watch the young folks circle around on their wakeboards, jump on the ramps and pipes, and do spins and backflips. Just watching doesn’t cost a thing. We did this today after having brunch at the nearby IHop restaurant.
I took our BigStuf staff to Terminus for a staff day and it was amazing! Everyone had a blast. It was great seeing people wakeboard for the very first time. They said they could not get up behind a boat but with the help of the Terminus staff everyone got up! Go try it! It is the coolest place in GA!
Wish I knew about this place years ago! Even being a little over an hour away from the house Ive made the trip 3 weekends in a row and will be back next weekend too. You can tell the whole staff really cares about the sport and just wants to see people progress and see the sport grow.
I wish I could give like 4.7 stars. I live in Tx and this is definitely the dopest and most well equipped parks Ive ever been too. The only thing is that the prices are a little steep, but it is super sick. Im making another trip out with my roommate before summer is up.The features are freaking stacked, they have some of the sickest rails Ive ever hit and their kickers are the perfect size. I had more fun messing around on their beginner cable than I could at Hangar 9 in Houston.#wakebeefThat being said if youre trying to rip this park for the weekend bring some stacks cause its a little pricey. It would be sick if they had a student discount or something like that. #brokeAlso there is a Chick-fil-A in the same parking lot so what more could you ask for...? #10/10This park makes me wish I lived in Atlanta, but I would need a pretty good job because they would take all of my money. Its stoke for shizzle. They are bringing it. And Im a big fan of Gucci mane. #wizop #EastAtlantaSanta

2022-06-21I took my nieces and nephew, ages 13 to 7, and they had a blast at the aqua park! There were so many different obstacles for them to master and had a great time jumping off of the rope swing and going down the slides. A few times they struggled for a second to get back up on the floats, but said the foot holds under the water we’re very helpful. As a spectator, the shaded areas with picnic tables were a great place to snap photos and watch their smiling faces!

2022-06-24This spot is legit, fair price, anyone can wakeboard and or enjoy the terrain park. Its a great alternative if you dont have a boat for wakeboarding. Everyone wears a life vest so you dont have to know how to swim. The terrain park is very fun to play on. The kids didnt want to leave. Its one of Atlantas hidden gem.

2022-06-18Took my son and some friends to the AquaPark side and they had such an amazing time. Cool things for the kids today between the swings, cornhole, and other games. We will be coming back for the wakeboarding side. Great experience!

2021-05-03My family attended the Beginner Day and was blown away with the wake park! All the staff was friendly and knowledge. A couple of staff really poured into my 1st and 2nd grade kids and got them standing on the wakeboard for the first time. My husband was a big-kid for the day and had an awesome time, even made it on a small jump as a first timer. Beautiful and comfy lounge areas and a pretty well stocked snack bar. We will all be back, looking forward to trying out the Aqua Park!

2021-06-20Honestly we didnt know what to expect. I enjoy new experiences and my son got me a package for Fathers Day. This really exceeded my expectations. The 5 stars is really due to the kind, courteous, professional staff members who did a great job making us feel safe, welcome, and added to the overall enjoyment. Our trainer for the wakeboard lesson was really encouraging. An Atlanta gem.

2021-06-11I took my summer camp to Terminus for the first time this week. Chase and his team have been super helpful with scheduling everything even 6 months in advance. I was hesitant to ride, but Chase talked me into it and I enjoyed it just as much as my campers and counselors. Fun was had by all, and I look forward to taking each of my camps this summer.
