Thai Kitchen in other cities:
Everything was wonderful and delight. The waiter could have been more friendly and polite. Thank God this wasnt the issue for the food. The food was spectacular. Great taste, texture, and added flavor. I really enjoyed my visit and reccomend anyone for a try. Hidden a bit for location (left side of grocery store) but well worth the find.
Hands down this is some really good food. Wonderful service. And the price was reasonable. At the end of our meal we were served a little chocolate cake. Very tasty.Drunken noodles with shrimp and some spice was really good. My husband had three flavored duck - that wad good. We also had a mixed vegetable plate which was nice and lite. Everything we ate did not seem or feel heavy, nor salty. Loved it and going back!!!
Food is very tasty but have had so so experiences otherwise. The cleaning supply they use has an overpowering scent which smells like chemicals and gives me a tremendous headache after only minutes of being in the dining room. Scent is very connected to taste and makes it hard to enjoy what otherwise is well made Thai cuisine.
If I could give this review 10 stars, I would. This place has the BEST Thai food in Augusta, hands down. I am originally from NC and Ive been in Augusta for almost 5 years. I have tried the other Thai restaurants in town. For my preferred dish, this tastes like the restaurant back home that I used to eat at 3 times a week. I am in love. Ill be back.... every.other.day.
This restaurant is not bad. However, its probably been adjusted to accommodate the local populace. I ordered drunken noodles, which are spicy and the menu indicated so. They were not spicy at all...not even a hint. I would have preferred a more authentic dish with a bit more of the basil and pepper, as well. Again, it was not bad. I will just not order from here again due to my own taste preferences.
First time eating here. They are to-go only and the food was great.I like spicy and getting extra spicy (4/5) was perfect. It was a great flavor with a good kick that didn’t ruin it.Pad Thai gai and tomkha soup are my go to for this restaurant. If you like these dishes, you will not be disappointed here (you just have to eat it at home right now lol 😔)
My family has been eating here for 8+ years. Its changed owners from one family member to another. Theyve updated and it looks great, everything is always clean, and the family is really sweet. If you come here enough theyll remember you and your usual order, it feels nice to be here. The food is really great and theyll tweak it to your liking.5 stars for great authentic Thai food!
Was shocked to see a little cake treat and devoured it before my meal. My how that was so amazing. The curry was a little sweet, but still had a perfect taste. The spring roll was freshly made and not greasy. I am overall pleased at the quality time that was put in to prepare my lunch meal.
This restaurant is the best Thai in town, the food is always outstanding, but they will also adjust the heat to the customers taste. The customer service is always quick and courteous, the owner is always talking with the customers. There is nothing I have tried here that I would not recommend to a new customer. I drive 30 minutes there from Harlem to get takeout, that is how good it is.
After eating at Thai Kitchen about half a dozen times I finally snapped a couple of photos before tearing into my meal. I have only eaten here at lunch time but have never been disappointed. The food is fresh and outstanding while the service and atmosphere is top notch. It is one of my favorite places for lunch. I highly recommend.
First time there. Really quaint little place with very nice staff. Ordered the shrimp fried rice, spicy level 3. Dish had a very unique sweetness to it that I havent experienced anywhere else. Shrimp were really bland and not very firm. They just kinda flopped over on the fork when I picked them up to eat them. Had the Thai sweet tea. Very sweet and pretty good. Also had a complimentary dessert that was really good. Nice touch. I may try something else on the menu next time to get a better read of the place. I have had food from several places in various parts of the country and this a bit different from what I have experienced before. Not real sure what to think. It wasnt bad, but it didnt impress me either. Ill give it another shot and see what happens.
Such a wonderful place to eat. The food is scrumdillyumtious! We had the salad rolls with peanut sauce. I could eat that by itself! Then our lunch dishes were the cashew nut and the garlic sauce dish. The restaurant tied it all together with the perfect sized piece of dessert cake. What a wonderful surprise! I will definitely come back here to eat again.
I ordered takeout and it all ended up in the trash. The pad thai was dry, oily and flavorless and same with the khao pad. I grew up in Asia, ate and took a cooking class in Thailand, and had Thai flavors all over Asia. This was not even close to being decent. Maybe it was hit or miss dishes or day for this place but those two are basic dishes you can judge a Thai restaurant by to tell if its a good restaurant. It made me not want to go back.
Absolutely love this Thai restaurant! My family and I have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I typically order the Pad Thai or Basil Beef but haven’t had anything on the menu I didn’t like! Their soups and desserts are also a must have and they have cheap and delicious lunch specials.
This place never disappoints me. Im able to customize the chi volcano to have grilled chicken instead of friend, the veggies with it are never over done, and the heat customization is great since I like my food extra spicy I ask for above Thai hot. The honey garlic chicken is a hit with my kids, the pad Thai is delicious, and so are the spring rolls. Not a lot of sitting space, so expect a wait time on the weekends. Carry out option is nice for the times we want to eat at home.
Thai Kitchen is one of the best restaurants in the Augusta metro area. The service is phenomenal and the food is even better. This is among my top 3 favorite restaurants in the region and I couldnt recommend it more highly. This is a 10/10 establishment. Youre missing out of you arent eating here.
We order take out from Thai Kitchen frequently; no problem, the food is good. However, everytime we dine in, we wait an extended time to be served and people that come in after us get service before us. We kind of overlooked it before but today it was so blatant we had to get up and leave. I dont think they deal with diversity very well. Will not ever go back.
I am writing this post still in the restaurant because this place is amazing! We started off with the appetizer sampler. It was delicious. The dinner was one of the best Thai we have eaten. Even our kids enjoyed their dinner from the kids menu. A great value for the price. Left very full and satisfied. Will definitely return soon.
Thai Kitchen has been our Sunday night go-to restaurant for years. After my husband passed away, my daughter contacted the owners about hosting a private party for our family and close friends. They were great about accommodating our requests & making helpful suggestions. We reserved the restaurant for 2 hours on a Saturday night for about 36 people. Everything was wonderful -- from delicious, plentiful food to attentive service to a surprise treat of Thai donuts at the end. All of the attendees raved about the food & after everyone had their fill, the kitchen staff packaged the leftovers for us. A totally satisfying experience!
Oh my GAWD the Pad See Ew with Shrimp was good! Its probably my favorite thing to eat now. I had it with spice level 3,which gave a nice warmth but no real heat. I will never to go any other local Asian place again, as long as this tiny little Thai noodle house is in business.
I ordered Spicy Basil Rice. I have an aunt who is Thai and been to Thailand as well so when i say this wasnt not it, i mean it was not.great. the rice was over cooked and mushy, and some parts still white without favor. The favor was bland and barely any basil in it. I love Thai food and love to explore local Thai restaurants and this one i wont return too. The lack of seasoning and overcooked rice made it very unauthentic. If you have never had real.Thai food it will probably be a good fit for you. Which is why i believe it has such high reviews. I was greatly disappointed
Very good place to eat! So many people there to eat but they were able to provide great customer service. I got the Pad Thai with just a little spice and it was excellent. They give larger portions so I had some to take home. After the meal they brought out small chocolates which I thought was a nice touch.
The food here is delicious! Ive tried a few different plates-and then gotten to sample off from other plates of those with whom I eat with, and everything is so good.Patience is necessary here, the restaurant is big flavor in a small location so depending on when you go you may have to wait for a table. Another factor for your patience is that the staff is limited, so the food preparation does take time-but the food is always worth the wait.Go with someone you enjoy talking with-you will need to pass the time some way while waiting for your delicious food, why not pass it with good company?
Amazing! Great portions, really nice people. Great food. You wont be disappointed I guarantee it. I usually get the green curry, four spicy.. Delicious. My girl likes their drunken noodles with tofu.. Also really good. Im telling you.. Yall gotta find out about this establishment.
I’d heard this place was good and it REALLY did wow me! I ordered the Rad Nah, which is noodles with a choice of protein like shrimp, chicken, pork, beef ( I had chicken). It comes with carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, cabbage and I think kale in a Thai gravy... SOOOO GOOD!! The chicken was tender and I veggies were delish. And the Thai tea (once again 1st time) was awesome. I gave only 4 stars because when we walked in I didn’t know if we were supposed to wait to be seated or just grab menus and seat ourselves. But the staff was very polite and the atmosphere was cool. I’LL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN!!!!
This place was right on. Ordered Tom Yum with shrimp and Pad Thai. Both were just as expected. Great flavor and the shrimp were big. Fresh meat and vegetables. Place was packed with people and we still got our food in less than 20 min. The service was great and waitress was very nice.We got free Thai doughnuts before we left.If your in the mood for Thai, this is the place to go.
I cant say enough about this place. Really damned good Thai food. You can tell they put a lot of care into their meals. Everything was very fresh, and they didnt skimp (ie my seafood soup was loaded with shrimp, mussels, and fish). The service was great as well, the waiter was very polite and courteous. They even gave us a small slice of complimentary cake at the end. The restaurant is small, and doesnt look like much from the outside, but its definitely the best Thai food in the area.
We love the food! Some of the best Thai we have ever had. Really wanted some and called at 8:30 on a Monday. They close at 9:30. Phone rang 15 times, no answer...called again same results. Our order was to be take out and my husband was in the area. The sign on door says open to 9:30. He open the door and the employee said they were closed. My husband mentioned the sign and the employee said that was correct but it was slow that night so they closed. Hmmm....they just missed out on a $60 order and now we dont have confidence in when they MIGHT be open. Sure hope they stick around...the food is outstanding.UPDATE: They are still in business. The food is still fantastic! We havent had another issue since that time. We treat ourselves to a dine in or take out once or twice a month. If you are cutting carbs get take out and skip the rice. Heat some cauliflower rice at home and have a guilt free outstanding dinner.
I just order three meals1 fried rice with pineapple2 see food drunken noodle3 green curryBut 1,2 menus are terrible I’ve never had it before.Fride rice taste burnt. And drunken noodle was not a noodle. Everything was snapped.I through them away.I will never order here.It was terrible experience.
Went during lunch time and the lunch spacial had many choices. And it was so good. My table ordered the pepper steak, set and sour chicken, and the chicken finger kids meal. We all tasted each others food and all of it was so super good, the sauces in the pepper steak and the chicken AMAZING!!!!!!!!. Especially the fresh spring rolls with the amazing sauce. WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING BACK!!!!!!!!
First time trying Thai Food , so glad I read all the great reviews . I wanted authentic Thai food and this place definately makes me wonder why waited so long to try it. The Shrimp Pad Thai Lubch special was delicious !! Came with Spring Roll , choice ok f drink and even comes with as slice of cake for dessert. Everything was so good !! I highly recommend you try this place for outstanding food, service and prices you cant beat for all you get. I am looking forward to coming back soon.
If I can rate this restaurant 10 stars I would. Their food is beyond amazing. Very flavorful and home cooked style cuisine. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the hosts are like family at this point. I recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a nice warm meal, either for lunch or dinner.
I think this is the best Thai place here in Augusta so far. The staff are very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The portions are enough to share for at least two, so that was nice. Its a quaint restaurant, so our meal was very peaceful. Definitely check this place out!
I dont know whats going on with Thai Kitchen lately.I used to love it, but today it all went south. My Thai fried rice had SEVERAL large egg shell chunks in it. I tried three times taking bites from different areas of the bowl, all three came with a side of egg shell crunch. To top it off the chicken was still pink. Not sure if its because I ordered right when they were opening, but THAT much egg shell AND pink chicken.
The food was excellent and reminded me of a thai place that I love back home in California. Service was absolutely wonderful, neither overbearing or absent, which for a socially awkward person like me is a godsend. Whenever I return to Augusta Ill make sure to keep a star on my map to come back here.
Well, I have certainly had better. Honestly the fried rice was only ok, the pad Thai tasted good enough ... neither was a very large portion and both had very dry chicken. Will probably not go back. Bonus, I was overcharged $2 per dish, can’t figure out why, and didn’t realize til I got home. Was shocked since there are so many good reviews, but I have to say Google reviews let us down on his one. Try for yourself.
I love Thai Kitchen! Excellent food, excellent prices, and excellent service. The restaurant is small, fairly comfortable, and very family oriented. The staff is small, and at times, they can get really busy at night and wait times can be a little long, but the food is worth it. Never had a bad experience in the two plus years weve been going there.
Im not impressed i ordered a Tom yum soup and i cant even taste the lemongrass and the authenticity of the soup. They dont have other fish aside tilapia so i couldnt get a sweet and sour fish . The brocolli with oyster sauce is more watery and the service not so much. Im an asian and Im a traveler around the US and always looking for that home taste kind of food away from home.
I ordered the house Thai fried rice once I placed my order for pick up I should have know once I wasn’t asked how hot I wanted it that it wouldn’t be authentic . It looked like regular fried rice and the tails to the shrimp were left in my rice. This was nothing close to authentic the portion was extremely small for the $15.00 I sent and I will never return or recommend
Our favorite Thai place to go to in the entire area. Really enjoy their green curry with tofu and their massaman curry. Their crab rangoon is pretty average but the service is always pretty great even if they are busy. Sometimes we call ahead and do carry out but if you eat in at the very end of your meal they will give you a small slice of cake which is a nice touch. They also have reflective film on the windows so late in the day you can have dinner without having your eyes blasted or burn up. The service is pretty good and they are certainly welcome in for everybody that walks through the door.
I was starving on my way to Augusta, but did not want to stop for typical fast food. Decided to wait it out and ordered Thai food from Thai Kitchen. I read a few reviews and it seemed to be good. I ordered/tried the drunken noodle, pad see ew, and chicken laab. I ordered the pad Thai for my fiancé. All of these things were for to go.The drunken noodle was not bad, but it was extremely oily and even with the oil, all the noodles clumped together. Level 4 spicy was not very spicy. I’d suggest asking for more if you love spicy. The pad see ew was okay, but a bit on the bland side. The chicken laab was extremely dry to me. Their Thai tea is not bad/not overly sweet. My fiancé did not like his pad Thai. He asked if they were busy (they were not). He ate a few bites and wanted to throw it away. I don’t think he will be back.I have yet to try any of the other Thai restaurants in the area, so I have nothing to compare it to for the Augusta area.
No idea why this place is so highly rated, it didnt impress me, nor my dining companion. The slooooooooowwwwwwwessssssst service Ive expirienced in a very long time. This would have been tolerable if the food we got was amazing, it was not. It wasnt awful, but it was definitely not worth waiting 45 minutes to appear on the table, and THAT was the appetizer. It was another 20 minutes before we saw entrees that were extremely mediocre. Thai food is so often flavorful, spicy and awesome, I ordered Pad Thai and there was nary a vegetable in sight. It was sickly sweet and gummy. The noodles overcooked and sticking together. Thirsty? Well too bad. You might as well go next door to Kroger and grab a drink because they arent going to be coming around anytime soon with the water pitcher.Furthermore, it was not very clean. The table was sticky in spots, the bathroom pretty gross. Not really sure what happened on our visit but at this point I would rather try someplace else in the CRSA for Thai. They just did nothing for me.
Great service bu I was very dissapointed at the food. Fist time here, I let the reviews persuade me. I know Thai cuisine and cook the food also so I xan tell good authentic Thai from american/thai put together. Jazmin is a very fragant rice and you can tell the difference from not a good quality Jazmin rice and on top over cooked. Coconut soup is a very easy dish but the coconut milk was sour. Not impressed at all
Have overlooked this place for years. Decided to try something new, and this place came up on Google. It did not disappoint. We shared the Crab Lagoon appetizer, I had the Gaeng Garie w/ chicken, and she had Pad Sie-Ew. Both were delicious. They also brought us complementary dessert cakes. The servers were quick and attentive, and the food was out minutes after we ordered. This is a very quiet place for a nice date. You come in, sit where you want, and the staff takes care of everything. There is a lot to choose from on the menu, so do a few google searches on Thai food first! (noodles, curry, etc.)
Honestly, this is THE Thai place to go in the area. Its not uncommon for my co-workers and I to be here 1-3 times a week. I believe their Lunch menu to be unrivaled in the area. Meal + Drink + Appetizer for $6.50-$7.50.... and the service is amazing. If they made desert that day, they usually bring you out a piece at the end of your meal. All of their Curry is excellent, but my favorite meals are the Gaeng Garie, and Massamon curies.... as well as the Pad Thai and Cashew Nut chicken. This is one of my few 5/5 star places in the Evans/Martinez Area.
Great employees fresh authentic tasting thai cuisine. The flavors are on target. I am picky with thai food. I expect sharp fresh flavors and textures. These guys deliver every time. Seems a little expensive at first, but well worth it. Thanks for the great work guys!
I can’t have gluten, dairy, soy, nuts or spices and the chef came out herself to help me figure out what I could eat. I am so thankful for her bc this is the first time I’ve been able to eat out in 6 months! I will be visiting again! Thank you so much! Highly recommend.

2022-05-14A small cozy and amazing place, one of the best thai places in augusta. A very attentive staff even when its crowded on a friday night! A menu that caters to normies and thai enthusiasts. If you like it spicy come here, u can choose how spicy you want your dishes.Drunken noodles and pad thai are both robust dishes. Honey garlic chicken is fire too. Complimentary desert too!

2021-08-22Quick, polite, and attentive staff. Delicious food. My only complaint (is very subjective) is I had ordered the Thai hot and it wasn’t as hot as typical Thai hot, more of a medium spice level (at least for me). We’ve had better pineapple fried rice in other geographical locations too. Weak 5 star, but 5 nonetheless.

2022-02-25The food here is absolutely perfection! The workers/owners are great and strive to keep the costumers happy! They offer spice options. They didn’t mind my baby was walking around exploring the place (seating area) and they even gave us dessert. Would definitely go back!

2022-02-28Favorite Thai place! Good fast service, authentic Thai flavors, and gradations of spiciness so that everyone in the family is happy. Over the years weve tried every flavor and permutation of curry and liked them all. My personal favorite is the crispy duck, though Duck Lost in the Coop is a close second.

2022-02-17Located beside Publix in the shopping center. Excellent deals on the lunch menu. We(2 adults) each had a veg spring roll, entree, and drink for $15. Delicious vegetarian choices. Even got a complimentary piece of dessert, it was a yummy palate cleanser. Would go again.

2022-01-16Positively the best Thai food in Augusta! This is the only place in the area that is consistently high quality Thai cuisine. The owners are a small business and go out of their way to make sure you feel your experience is amazing.

2021-06-27Ordered Togo. Excellent Thai casual foods. Can’t beat their prices & portions. Noodle dishes are great, but try their salads. Beef salad or the classic green papaya salad. Fresh salad spring rolls & their soups are great starters. Owner & service folks are friendly. They even gave us lunch dessert - slice of cake.Update - dine in now open, check out photos.

2021-11-06Order the veggie noodle soup. Not only was there zero veggies (I added my own after it got here) but I just picked a piece of wire out of my mouth! It’s about 1.5 inches long and sharp! Will never order from here again!

2022-04-03First time eating here. Definitely a hidden gem!! We will be eating here again! We had spring rolls and sauce made fresh in house daily, three sauce chicken and three sauce duck! Never had duck - VERY impressed! Highly recommended!!
