Very impressed! I got the omelet with pepper jack, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, and jalapenos. Amazing! Everything came out fresh and hot off of the grill. I also got hash browns and they were cooked perfectly. I got the strawberry waffle with pecans. It was heavenly. I ate just about everything. I was very upset that I tasted the biscuit at the very end and didnt have room to eat it. I was so full, but when I took a bite of that biscuit... I almost got a to-go box just for the biscuit alone. Put Waffle House to shame...
I stopped in early in the morning on my way to take on a very important day. I woke up early, but not early enough to make the breakfast I wanted. I stopped into the restaurant to order a meal to go. I got 2 eggs, hash browns, English muffin and a drink. It took them no time at all to prepare it and had it ready for me to go. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was super nice. Will definitely be back!
Hour wait when we got there, it really was close, maybe 50-55min. We waited, got seated, took roughly 10 min to be greeted and drink order. Then about 45 min wait on food. Food was pretty good. Im not a germ freak so the line long black hair in it didnt freak me out, I was Hangry by then anyway. You could tell our waitress was stretched out, she was trying.
I could make a long review... but let me just do this, this way. This establishment did everything right. From the dining area to the staff and service, to the meal. The cost of the meal was less than what I believed it would be. You know, when you walk in and evaluate the business, its location, it just appears to be an establishment that has a high overhead to meet. This is not the case here, to me the price was fair. If I picked any place to eat, other places would likely be the same or more in cost.
The service was great and attentive. The food was delicious and the portions were larger than expected. I will definitely have another meal here and I recommend for people to try out this restaurant. They have a cinnamon bun waffle that my daughter had for breakfast she couldnt finish it and took the rest home for later.
Sat at the bar. Service was quick and attentive, food was ok, coffee tasted like literal dirt. Not in a this is mud its so strong way but instead, in a, we used the dirtiest water we could find to brew this toxic waste for you. May actually have been the worst coffee Ive ever tried to force down. Its a breakfast spot. Yall should care the bare minimum about your coffee.
The breakfast options are somewhat varied. The buffet was slightly disappointing because you dont have access to the full menu in the place (waffles are not included in the buffet). The prices are also a little higher than what you might expect. Overall the meal was decent and we might come back to try some of their more specialized dishes.
Open seating, decent atmosphere. Food was just ok. I ate the Ruben Sandwich, which honestly I did not care for. I am a big fan of ruben sandwiches and always try them if I see them on a menu at a restaurant, but this ruben just didnt fit the bill. Ive had must better Rubens from Arbys. Now that is saying something. My wife ate the steakhouse burger. She has the same feeling, just ok. Was expecting much more from what we have heard, but I dont think we will be making another trip to this flippin Egg.
Ive been coming here since it was the Evans diner. A lot of the servers I have been seeing for years. Honestly that says a lot to me as a consumer! If its a good place to work it will usually be a good place to eat. Never been disappointed with the food or service. Love the food and the people who work here. Always feel welcome! Yolanda is the best though!!
Very tasty food. I had two eggs, a biscuit, bacon, grits, and a waffle. All of it was excellent, and the waffle was one of the best. The staff was nice and wore masks, the place the set up for social distancing, and things were clean. Ill be back later this week for sure!
Received sausage that was dry, burnt, and clearly recooked. I asked the waiter if he could bring us freshly cooked sausage. The waiter returned with the same dry/recooked sausage. There are two ways to fix this and that is through a discount of the price of the sausage or bringing out a properly cooked sausage. I even tasted the sausage a second time just to make sure. The manager nor the cook got involved to solve the issue. I have been here several times before and will probably not return. I have waited tables in my younger years so I know how disconnected the front staff and the kitchen can be. Needless to say, I still tipped the young waiter but left unhappy and dissatisfied. I should not have to get aggressive or angry to get what I am paying for. I just wanted someone to rectify the situation which was pennies on the dollar considering the future business they lost from me.
I came here because of the reviews but my experience was not what I expected. There was hair in my banana nut pancakes, I never got the water I ordered, I had to remind the waitress to give us straws and silverware. My home fries were also burnt and my eggs were over cooked. Maybe I came on a bad day. The food runner was nice and pleasant. But I don’t think, I’ll come back here.
Great comfort food during breakfast or lunch. It was our first visit there and overall we had a pretty good experience. The wait was only about 15 minutes on a Sunday at 11:30am. The staff was wonderful and the interior seemed very clean. Our only complaint was that it was way too warm inside, probably because we were seated at the table in front of the large window.
First time eating here (7/27/21).The Positive: Fast and friendly service. Was seated and had our order in within minutes of arriving. Clean restaurant and tables. (4 to 5 stars)The Negative: We ordered two plates (Chicken & Waffles, and the Business Breakfast with upgraded Turkey Sausage). Unfortunately, we did not like the quality of the food or taste of what was delivered. (1 to 2 stars)Because we felt the food was below average we wouldn’t return.
This is my second time back here i havent been back in a while cause my first time was upsetting cause i had chicken and waffle and the chicken was nasty and i couldnt believe a restaurant would sell what tasted like frozen chicken tenders so i after a 2 years i decided to try the restaurant again and i got a skillet and a pancake and i was much happier with the foodEven with having short staff that day the servers where WonderfulWill be back
Awesome variety of food, enough to be able to serve the most picky of eaters, but who doesnt love breakfast? The cinnamon roll waffles are probably my favorite to split as an appetizer. Staff is always exceptionally friendly, always quick to make sure you have everything you need and make the dining experience wonderful.
The food was very good, especially the Veggie Eggs Benedict. It was awesome! The Belgian waffles that my friend had looked great too. My home fries were made with red potatoes, I believe, and were a big portion size but a little dry. Everything else we had was good. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very casual. Ill definitely be back!
First time getting food from here and its amazing. The takeout container is sturdy and has small holes in the top so the biscuits and waffles wernt soggy.Portion sizes are hardy and more then enough to feed the family. The scramble bowl wasnt greasy. Flavor is great and the mushrooms, spinach, and grilled chicken were fresh and not overcooked. The biscuits also have a great butter flavor to them. The waffles were very fluffy and delicious.Highly recommend for a traditional and filling breakfast. Will definitely order from here again.
10/10 will recommend. Lol trynna tell a friend. Nah but for real I ordered the veggies Benedict W/ hash brown and a side of potato salad (don’t judge me) everything was to perfection and our waitress Crystal was great. She kept us satisfied and she made us laughed. Every table in the restaurant was full but we got our food in about 15 mins.
This was my second time here. The food, service have improved tremendously. My compliments to the waitress and the cooks. The grits was amazing 👏 😋 today.Came back next Sunday and waited 15 more extra minutes as the hostess seated others ahead of me. Very frustrating visit.
If you ever want to eat a home cooked meal, but dont want to cook a home cooked meal then youve found your place. Staff is extremely nice and our waitress was as friendly as they come! Cooks in the back where having fun and cooking good food. The workers seem like they love to work there which adds to the experience. I cant recommend it enough. Ill definitely be frequenting this place from now on. Also its priced very well. Id recommend this place in a heart beat.
Popular place with good food. I had an omelet with fruit and biscuit. The omelet fillings were generous and well cooked. The fruit was melons and grapes which was fine with me but I know some people like more diversity in their fruit cups. The biscuit was not hot which is the only knock I had against the meal. The server was extremely nice and kept the coffee cups filled. Can definitely recommend.
Food was not prepared, it was thrown on a plate. I had a skillet. Potatoes on bottom, then they put the cheese and added the ingredients in a pile on top. The scrambled egg was a grilled egg, dry as dirt. I asked for it to be replaced and got the same thing.Barely made it home to the bathroom in time. Never going back. When we saw the 3 star review we almost did not go. Should have followed our instincts.
My friend and i had breakfast there on 9/5/2020. Our waitress Yolanda was amazing, lots of energy and very engaging. We both had the business breakfast with bacon, house potatoes and bottomless mimosas. The breakfast was fresh and our order was in front of us in about 10 minutes. The potatoes were delicious and the mimosas were light skinned (heavy on the champagne) just how I like them. We sat outside and I wish the patio had more shade and that they didn’t allow smoking (someone was smoking a vape). All in all i had a wonderful experience and will be returning.
The waitress who never said her name, was nice. She listened to me rant about them not serving alcohol until 9am. (Long/bad night shift and I desperately wanted bottomless mimosa) I ordered a skillet with cheese grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, pepper & onions with white gravy on top and toast. I didnt finish the dish...it was different. After that, I was only able to drink one mimosa. My stomach didnt feel good the rest of the day and I had several urgent bathroom visits.
The bussing staff are awful. Told us and other customers that the wait would be 20 minutes. Everyone waited outside for 40min to 1hr and 25 min. They continued to tack on time and completely disregarded all the people waiting outside. Patrons who had been waiting for only 5 minutes were being seated before parties of a similar size. They failed to take our phone number as they were supposed to when we came in. Several customers complained and not one apology or arrangement was made. Several empty tables were open and ready to be seated, yet, no one was cleaning them. Take your business elsewhere.
My server/waitress Crystal was amazing! She was extremely friendly and informative with the menu. She was definitely a pleasant face to see after walking through the cold and rain! Every interaction was with smile and bundles of energy! Shes great asset to the flipping egg environment!! Thank you Crystal
The morning of October 4th at 8 am I phoned the Evans location Flo the girl who answered the phone was SO RUDE. That told me right there NEVER to return to either restaurant.I called and ask for owner to complain about store in Aiken she said why do you need to contact the owner I said I had an issue with the store in Aiken 3 times I told her Aiken restaurant. She refused to take my name and laughed when I asked to speak to the ownerVERY unprofessional and she clearly represents the the way this company conducts businessSad and Shameful that they clearly DO NOT care enough to hear constructive feed back after paying $14.57 for breakfast plus a 3 percent convenience fee on top of total bill that was Never explained.Sad and Shameful that one employee Flo can make a guest who has been three other times to the Aiken location NEVER ever ReturnI work at a Hotel in Aiken and because of Flo I will be telling every single guest about my experience.
Im on the fence about this place. The breakfast is clearly good. There is almost always a line out the door. The buffet however is not good. Not worth it. It is very limited and just seems to be low quality food. Ill take my money and go to Golden Corrals buffet before I eat the flipping egg buffet again if that says anything. My friends that did not also get the buffet had to wait quite a while for their meals. It was awkward being able to eat in from of them while they had to wait so long..
Amazing place to eat and relax. You dont have to huddle here, there is lots of room in between tables. The food came out hot and the portion sizes were large. We could hear the staff trainer speak to a trainee and found ourselves amazed by the things she was covering....like how to make each customer feel special. Everyone smiles and is very attentive. We love it here.
Me and my husband came in for breakfast. Ashley was our server. She greeted us with a smile and kept it our whole visit. She got our drinks and food order in quickly. As we waited for our food I noticed the grill cooks singing and dancing and laughing. It was good to see them working in a happy environment. Our food came out quickly and everything tasted just perfect. The servers including Ashley made sure my husbands coffee stayed hot and full. Great team work with everyone. I am sick and looked homeless walking in. But that did not change anybody attitude towards me. Especially enjoyed Ashleys service. Thank you to the whole team.
My daughter and I decided to try something new and were absolutely blown away by the kindness of the staff. The food was also amazing and the bottomless mimosas were splendid! We have found our new breakfast spot! 🤗Soap & Love,Monique & AlexandraThe Sweet Pea SoaperyGrovetown, Georgia
Order 1 egg over medium and got two black crispy eggs I couldnt eat. Hash browns were old and rubbery. When she picked up my plate ( it was very obvious I didnt eat anything) she didnt say a word and charged me for the breakfast. This is the third time in a row that this has happened. Wont be going back there. I could understand if they were busy but at this time there were exactly 8 people in the restaurant...no excuse for that type of meal to come out of the kitchen and worse yet the wait staff deliver it. THEY should have noticed it wasnt what I ordered and it shouldnt have been cold to boot.
We went in for breakfast, it was alright but nothing to get excited about. Pancakes were tough and barely warm. The girl that greeted us and took our payment was very friendly. However our waitress not so much, she brought our drinks and took our order. Someone else brought our food, we never saw her again until she brought our check. Never asked if we wanted anything else, never refilled our drinks.
After a long wait, We entered the restaurant. I ordered eggs benedict and my wife selected the french toast entree. Over 45 minutes after we placed our order we received cold and soggy food, one of which my wifes french toast had hair in it and had to be sent back. Which added a additional 20 minute wait. I wound not recommend this restaurant.
This has to be the absolute best breakfast/brunch eatery in the CSRA! I frequent this establishment about every couple of weeks. Each and every visit the service is beyond excellent! And the food....... man oh man! I always look forward to my visits, here! And, its locally owned, to as well! #shoplocal
Perfect breakfast with wonderful service. 😀My daughter brought me here and told me I wouldnt be disappointed. SHE WAS RIGHT.😉 The pecan pancakes were the best I ever had. The eggs and hash brown potatoes were done to perfection. I tried my daughters Eggs Benedict and they were delicious too. This restaurant has wheelchair accessible entrance, close to door parking, comfortable booth and table seating, and outdoor dinning patio. All this and very reasonable prices.I was very pleased and will definitely come back. 👍😀
The food was good. My omelet was made to perfection just like I ordered it. The waitress at the counter was very friendly. I dont like the fact they have the cooks working with no hair nets, and the older woman who was working the buffet needs to change her gloves more frequently depending on the things she touches with her gloves. But overall I had a good experience for my first visit.
Ordered delivery this morning. Awesome food and it was still hot. We had a bit of everything with the hashbrowns skillet combo with eggs, bacon, and onions and peppers, pancakes. Country ham too. All delicious.EDIT:We ordered from Grubhub this morning. 45 minutes late and completely wrong food. I paid $36 for two meals and got 1 meal worth $12.Already refunded. Great food but they have grubhub now which seems like a no go. Well pick our food up from now on thanks!
We waited 10 minutes to be seated. not bad at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. 45 minutes later we still didnt have our food. 1 omlet and 1 skillet. the other tables around us got there food within 10-15 minutes of being seated. Our waitress finally came by and asked if we were ready for the check!! Told her we still hadnt gotten our food! She went to check on it and said she was sorry but the order got deleted for some reason, but it should be ready soon now. we just left and went to Cracker Barrel. We will never be back.
GREAT eats. We had breakfast today first time trying new restaurant. The food was great. Im a big man and the amount of food I got was more then I could eat. I had the make your own, which was eggs home fries Bacon sausage Philly steak and onions. I add gravy. I saw pancakes that were the size of the plate huge. Will be going back soon
The place is in great location, the food however was good and not so good. Sausage gravy had no sausage, black eyed peas no seasoning. New cook should know how to make sausage infused gravy at the least. Good eggs Benedict however. Service was acceptable and friendly.
This place was a pleasant surprise. The food was good, the coffee was good, the service was good. I do not have a bad thing to say about the place. Even the atmosphere was good. The manager came over to our table and introduced himself. Good place to go for a very filling breakfast. Looking forward to trying their lunch menu.
We enjoyed our meal at That Flippin Egg. We went to celebrate Grandmas birthday and daughters promotion at work. We waited quite some time, but we were a party of ten. We opted to take a table across from a booth to get seated faster. The servers were great, very attentive and the food came out all at once hot. It was our first time. The portions were very generous. My pancakes were the size of the plate! All in all it was very good.
The atmosphere was nice and so were the servers. Its a cute little brunch stop. The reason why I placed a 4 star is because (first world problems) the sausage biscuits and gravy platter that me and my husband ordered wasnt that good. The picture in the menu shows that they use ground pork but they just chop up sausage links and throw it in the gravy so the flavor and texture of the sausage gravy was lost. Im sure if we ordered something else it would have been better and we still liked the place and I would still recommend you to try it, but if you really wanted biscuits and sausage gravy, look else where.
I had an absolutely amazing server while I was there. There was a wait due to the popularity of the place but in the end it was worth it. It has the feel of a classic diner but the food didnt match that. The quality of the food was excellent. The good service plus the good food is a good reason for me to visit again.
Went for an early breakfast and the service was very slow for being the second table out of two. The server was super nice! Food was mediocre. Waffles were huge but no flavor, hash browns were soggy with no flavor and ketchup didn’t help improve them. Wouldn’t come back again
First time there. We waited an hour to get seated and another hour before waitress told us their ticket machine broke. So, everyone orders was lost. We waited another 45 minutes before we got our food( cold) other than cold, the meal was ok. We decided to give them a second shot on a weekday time frame , hoping with less busy day the service and food would be better. Nope, same horrible waitresses, making same horrible mistakes, and apologizing for them. Food came again cold , less of a wait. we waited 45 minutes for food. Other than late and bad waitresses, the food again was OK, but hard to tell with every time it arrives cold and not complete. We are not going back sadly. Had hoped they would do well, as we have very few diners in the are, but they deserve to fail, if they dont fix their serve problems
I love this place. It reminds me of restaurants years ago. Very friendly and service is so fast. Today it was crowded, but I got my food fast and hot! I wish we had one in the North Augusta area. Exit 5 has plenty of room. Its growing over here. Tired of greasy food from waffle house and food from fast food places like Burger King, McDonalds, and Bojangles. We dont have a home cooking place. Please think about it. Aiken has home cooking places we dont. God Bless and Thank you.
Arrived @ 1:30pm (closed at 2:00pm). Good background music. Receptionist was bright, with energy and a big smile. Yolanda was waitress- took my order within 4 minutes of being seated. In less than 10 minutes my order arrived (cheese in scrambled eggs costs extra...). Orange juice cost $2.80 but was LARGE. Coffee was hot, refills arrived without waiting, and sugar dispenser eliminated typical sugar bags tedium. Meal cost over $12, a little pricey, but was good, - and experience was pleasant and satisfying. I will be back!!
Arrived early on Fathers Day for breakfast for 5. We all had a different meal, & all 5 were delicious. Biscuits were great, but just let your server know if you dont want that brush of warm butter on top. Grits were great, eggs were all well made, waffle & chicken strips were very good, ham, bacon, & sausage links were greatd.Booths are for 4 or less. Tables seat 6-8. Prices are reasonable. Going out to eat is a treat for most. If prices concern you greatly, you can make eggs & toast at home. Check out the menu before arrival- itll save everyone time & youll know the cost, so tipping appropriately wont be a problem for you (or your polite & professional server)!
My food took 50 minutes to arrive, after being told that there was a 20 minute wait to be seated it took about 40.We arrived around 10AM Saturday, food was cold, eggs were cold , pancakes looked like the bottom of elephant feet. It was also cold.Waitress never checked up on us and/or gave us napkins.Manager seemed like he was trying though, very nice guy.Very sad this replaced Evans Diner, Ive eaten better MREs than this
This restaurant used to be the Evan’s Diner down the road. My husband and I ate here a few weeks after they reopened to this new location. Our hope is that the many mistakes made during our visit were due to new routines, etc. We had to wait an extremely long time for our food, food was cold by the time we got it, then they forgot my husband’s pancakes and brought it to him after he finished his meal. They apologized profusely. But!!!! the same thing happened to the couple sitting at the table next to us. The exception was that they had been seated before we arrived, had already ordered their meals and they got their food way after we received ours. They were not happy. I could not blame them at all.On another note, as we were exiting I shared with the cashier that the floors were dangerously slippery/tacky in the restaurant and in the bathroom. The cleaning solution or wax used was dangerous and posed a safety hazard. Being business owners ourselves we were surprised at the response received. The cashier made excuses that “people keep dropping food in the floor”. I then alluded to the entire bathroom floor (where I almost slipped and fell). She had no excuse for that except that they use water to clean the floors (this was not okay either ... due to sanitation regulations). We chose to not return to this eatery again. Maybe, we’ll try it again and hope for a better experience.
We go all the time for breakfast. Food is consistently good. Since they reopened from the Diner they have had a difficult transition. The atmosphere is very different, and we really miss the Diner experience which was lively and energizing. Give them a couple of months if youve had a poor experience and then give them another try. The clientele is definitely changing. Ive noticed most of the regulars from the Diner are not returning to the EGG. But the food is good and reasonably priced.
My husband and I went here for a breakfast date and we really liked it. It had a good atmosphere and fast, friendly service. I had a skillet while my husband had an omelette, and I do recommend something like that over the waffle. We had a waffle to share and it was just kinda average.
Wow, their pancakes are big--and tasty! Lots of food for the money. Three stars because the ladies bathroom needs some TLC. If thats the bathroom the employees use, I question the hygiene standard overall and it shows that the people there are content to work in, well, filth. Things that stuck out were the grody walls, unmaintained air vents, sticky floor, dustiness, the detached toilet seat (a 5-minute fix), and a soggy paper towel roll on a table with no dispenser. 😬 I was in there and thought, come on, guys, you can do better. Maybe a monthly cleaning service would be a good idea.
This place is my first choice site. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a proper meal, this restaurant comes instantly to my head. very good and diverse food and a large list of dishes.great crew, and good ambience. Not less important, the cost is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.
Very friendly staff. Timely service. Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Whats not to like. First time at the new location. Saturday brunch time and couldnt have asked for a better start to the day Buffet looked fine but opted for a nice omelette meal instead. Will definitely be back!
Very disappointed in the quality of food. Our waitress was amazing though, I think her name was Marlene or Morgan? It was her birthday on Saturday and she was still up beat and happy even though she had to work on her birthday. Regardless of that, there were several issues with our food- missing food, burnt food, undercooked food. You name it, it was wrong. There must be serious issues in their kitchen and they need to think about hiring a new kitchen manager. Maybe Morgan, since she was so on top of everything.
My husband took me here for breakfast and let’s just say as we walked up a couple was walking out and stated this place is horrible and we will never be back. Us being us thought maybe they just had a bad experience and still went in. The waitresses are amazing, but the food is horrible. I had an omelette it was unseasoned, dry and the ingredients were not cooked as stated. The cheese was only in one spot towards the middle side. I had hash browns that were so over done it was like eating chips, but way harder to chew. My grits and toast were okay. I asked for salsa to try to help the omelette, but was given some watery based chopped peppers. Tried to add hot sauce but then just ended up picking out a few chicken pieces and finally just gave up. My husband had a skillet with hash browns, ground turkey, mushrooms, grilled onion, cheese and spinach. He took three bites and gave up. It was dried out the cheese was at the very bottom under the over cooked hash browns and big chopped up uncooked onions. He had a pancake that he had to pretty much saw apart to get a piece. A biscuit that was cold and extremely dry. All in all he ate nothing but a taste of each item and then they gave us a percentage off of his meal which I believe should have been free. All in all we will never recommend on enter this establishment again. We left and he went and had Hardee’s. Such a big disappointment.
As an Evans Georgia native, I have always wanted to try this restaurant. When we arrived the Interior decor and spacing is a bit small and out dated. The waitress was very polite however she completely spaced when I asked for soy or almond milk in my coffee. The oatmeal I ordered was a bit cold and my wife’s egg Benedict was salty and soggy. We will not be returning.
The morning we went the place was full but not too bad. It was just 3 of us and we were in a booth close to the front door but still it was not that bad. The other people that were with me ordered from the menu and I had the Buffett. The buffett was not good at all. The eggs had no flavor, the sausage gravy didnt have any flavor, it tasted water downed, the bread was hard, the pancake was hard and it was not good. The only good thing on the Buffett was the bacon. Everything else looked dry and overcooked. I was disappointed because I shoudlve ordered from the menu. I do not recommend the Buffett at all.
This restaurant went through a little bit of a learning curve after it moved and changed its name ( it was the Evans Town Diner). However it is now truly an exceptional breakfast restaurant! Be warned: if you Sir at the counter it is really warm because it is by the grill, and the breakfast brunch serves a lot of stuff, but it does not have bacon.
The food is ok, but nothing special. The service is atrocious. Although some of the waitresses are doing their best, others have horrendous no care attitudes. My waitress took 45 minutes to bring my food and another 20 to collect my payment. On top of that, she seemed to feel that she had a reason to express an air of arrogance. I will not return. Money is better spent elsewhere or to purchase the ingredients to cook yourself at home.
Absolutely nothing special. Poor service and elevated prices. The only reason there is such a wait is due to the lack of staff clearing tables.$3.50 for 4 grapes and a slice of melon? Forget about it! No refills on tea or coffee during a 30 minute visit. One and done, wont be back.
I didnt get what I asked for menu wise and then instead of admitting that a mistake was made or just clarifying exactly what I asked for the cook and server presume to lecture me and set me straight on my order. Before that conversation I watched them openly argue in front of customers. Not good service at all dont get me started on the dirty coffee cup or the quality of the food ( Waffle House has better ). I WILL NOT RETURN!!! My family and I are locals this is the second time your establishment has given bad service this isnt baseball you do not get a third strike!
It wasnt bad, but it wasnt great either. Omelet was very greasy and home fries are a acquired taste, not really to my liking, but my friend liked them, so just a taste issue. Service was ok, when I asked for salsa to liven up eggs, waitress was put out that she had to change our ticket since they charge for salsa. Probably wont go back, but plenty of people are eating there and I hope they succeed.
Our first experience was Great! Second not so impressive. We ordered pancakes the first time and they were HUGE. Im talking pretty much too big. They were the size of my torso... so the next time we ordered one pancake to share and they didnt tell us thwy werent big anymore. So we all had one regular size pancake go share. Not the end of the world by any means just disappointing after we had been talking it up all morning. And the servers seem disinterested and bothered. Idk that we will be back we may just stick to ruths.
Save your money. The food was horrible. Nothing was cooked properly and the gravy had to be from a can. I’m a foodie and love exploring new restaurants that aren’t franchised and this has the exterior of a neat trendy place but the interior was like stepping into a run down ihop. The wait for our food was also miserable considering my coffee tasted like 3 day old coffee that was made in a shoe. Go to Waffle House or Denny’s or ihop or just cook yourself breakfast. There’s no way this place can stay open much longer with how nasty their food is.
The food was horrible. I ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was frozen breaded chicken filet. It was not even McDonalds quality chicken! The waffles were thick and dense. Not tasty at all. My husband ordered a skillet breakfast. He said the hash browns were also straight out of a bag of frozen potatoes. We were not happy. The service was excellent but the food is cheap diner food at best.
First experience. The cook in the back had to tell them customers was at the door. Only a couple people in here eating.Mrs. Victoria waited on us iasked are your grits gluten free she said NO NOTHINGS gluten free its cooked on a grill so what you want I said nothing. She offered no options. She was very RUDE and condescending buttering up to the Male clients. My guest did order the waffle and said it was good. So I went to eat somewhere else.Rebecca was nice and polite... thank you rebecca. She explained that they do have items I could eat but I was checking out by then. I wont return.
We were disappointed with our first visit to That Flippin Egg. We waited for half an hour for two uncomplicated dishes while people came in and were given their meals all around us, close to 10-15 people. We eventually let our server know we were leaving because we still hadn’t received our food. When we arrived there was only one other table seated of 2-3 people.
Its not a bad diner. It is certainly not deserving of commonly recurring customers though. I have been here three times, despite my lack of enthusiasm for this place, my father likes it when he visits from out of town.Design. Its as though the owner is confused about what this place is. From the exterior, you can expect elevated food, a well decorated interior with tables and seating to match. Instead, you get a gorgeous exterior that speaks to at least slightly elevated dining, but an interior that tells you youve made a mistake. As morning advances and afternoon nears, the sun blasts through the windows. This could be nice, but its not. Its blinding, its hot, and its uncomfortable enough to interfere with your breakfast or brunch conversations.Food. Its not bad. Mostly. Its not good either. I wont hit it too hard on its hollandaise sauce, since Ive only seen a few places actually nail that sauce. Theirs is thick and more reminiscent of mayonnaise. The dishes are plain and not impressive. The arrangement is more like Waffle House, except the food isnt executed as well and costs way more. Their breakfast sandwiches are terrible and dry. The bacon is overcooked and the assembly looks worse than if a child had tossed it together. In the end, in a town lacking of great dining options, it is no wonder locals are forgiving its lackluster food and service and environment. This location should beware, however, if a decent place does open and shows how its done.
The food and location was amazing! There was a slight wait, but it was worth it. The only bad thing about my experience was my server. She was nice enough with slight aire of prejudice. For example my son and I were the only ethic patrons in the restaurant at the to time. She did small suttle things like refill everyones coffee, but mine or never check on our table. She didnt even bring our check, we had to get our own she. I still gave her a tip since she did bring our food. Oh no she did do thst either! Ill go back as long as is not my server.
First time visiting - last time eating there. Food was mediocre at best - certainly not worth what theyre charging for it. Burnt toast and corned beef hash. Over charged for meal, charged for lumber jack meal instead of alacart. Then she brought out a fruit cup and said it was part of the meal (even though I told her I didnt want it) - was charged almost $2 for that as well. When server was asked to correct the check we were told they werent supposed to do all that alacart stuff. Then why do they have an alacart menu? If you go, make sure you dont get Victoria as a server.
Definitely place the check out for breakfast. Or brunch. We enjoyed going here and its as part of our routine probably once a month. We have been going since they opened and we very much enjoy the atmosphere. We cant wait for the weather to get nicer so we can sit on the patio.
The buffet is pretty good, a bit pricey for adults if you dont eat a lot of breakfast (Im, uh, not in danger of losing out here). Omelettes are good, pretty big. The wife suggests the eggs Benedict could be better, but are still not bad. Its a popular place and always seems busy, but turnover keeps the seating line moving pretty quickly.
The inside is not what I expected after seeing the exterior of the building. It is set up more like a sports bar with all the televisions. I ordered the eggs benedict and could not finish it. The eggs were not cooked correct and the hollandaise sauce was off. The table was sticky from syrup and jam and it took about 10 minutes for someone to get our drink order (there were only about 6 tables seated). I will not eat here again.
That Flippin Egg makes Waffle House food appear to be fine dining (and I dont like Waffle House). My daughter and I ordered the Eggs Benedict with hash browns. The first time the order came out the egg yolks were hard and the hash browns were cold. The second time the order came out the yolks were fine but the hash browns were the worst I have ever tasted. If they were frozen then they were not fried long enough and if they were fresh they didnt get all the starch out. We mentioned the concerns to the front of house and all we got was Im sorry. For a 30 minute wait this was certainly an hour of my time and $30 I will never get back. If you have the word Egg in the name of your restaurant you would assume they knew how to cook an egg.My recommendation, try Waffle House instead.
We arrived at 11:15 and walked out at 12:30 without being served. Sat down at counter about 10 min. after we arrived; never even received silverware. Then about 20 minutes after sitting there, a man sat down to the right of my husband, and after complaining, the waitress brought him a biscuit. The real disgusting part came though when a couple sat down to my left, complained about the guy getting a biscuit and the waitress has the audacity to bring them a cinnamon roll to share!!!! My husband finally ask why we were not offered something considering we had sat there long before the 3 of them came in, and her RUDE comment was Im not the, I can t help it!!! Also observed MANY waitresses standing directly over all the food placed on high counter waiting to be picked and talking directly over the food!!! Health code issue for sure!!!! Never will return!!!!!!!!!!! CSR
The flipping egg needs alot of improvement. The wait time for your food is at least 50 minutes. The waitresses dont know which tables are theirs. It takes about 20 minutes to get your drinks. They never get your order right. You get a substitute side if they dont have what you ordered without even asking you if you want something different. The cooks yell at the waitresses and you can hear them throughout the restaurant. The food is undercooked (Rice hard).Waitress had a bad attitude when informed about the rice. The Macaroni was spoiled informed the waitress about that situation and she tells one of the OWNERS who comes out with a terrible attitude as if he was ready to fight and begins to tell us that the food cant be spoiled because he personally fixed the plate. He might have fixed the plate but he didnt cook the food and he didnt taste it so before you say that your customers are wrong about the food prepared in your kitchen learn that if you havent eaten it you dont know how it tastes so therefore your customer is right. And to be confronted and humiliated by a OWNER who tried to Apologize after he made ass out of himself and his restaurant I have never seen a business man be so unprofessional. I will never step foot back in this restaurant.
I very rarely write bad reviews, but this place is a special type of bad. We called in to ask some questions and place an order if possible. The person who answered the phone picked it up and laid it back down didnt say hello didnt even acknowledge the phone had rang at all.You could hear them complaining in the background about how busy they were. We hung up and called back and it was a busy ring every single time. The menu looked good the attitudes were terrible.

2022-04-05Sons birthday brunch Sunday so Mimosas (grapefruit was spot on an not bitter at all) w Eggs Benedict south western style for me. Then cornedbeef hash on the Lumberjack w/ basic eggs, toast, home fries for one. Last was the birthday boys Breakfast Skillet w everything but mushrooms. (He told the waitress to pick an surprise him.) It was all hot & delicious but the toast (dry). Great proportions an the soft yellow egg was perfection. Skillet had tons of meat and everything else. Enough to share. Service outside is steady and good. He only ran out of tea once.

2021-08-30Cute diner! The staff is friendly. He ordered hot chocolate with eggs Benedict classic and I ordered Veggie eggs Benedict with OJ. Both were delicious! He chose hashbrowns and I got the fruit. The hashbrowns were browned perfectly and crisp. I ordered the fruit side. The honeydew and cantaloupe tasted like the plastic container they were stored in but everything else was delicious.

2022-05-24The place was okay. We waited a little longer after we were told there was no wait. The food was okay. Kids loved their dishes. The place was semi clean. It is a nice place to go for a brunch or to talk and get together. I would recommend to others, maybe it was just for today day. Many kids graduated. We will try it again soon.

2022-06-29A friend and I had breakfast. She ordered a make your own omelet with a side of hash browns and I has Traditional Eggs Benedict. We both had coffee. It came to $32.97 without the tip. The restaurant is clean and service was excellent. Please stop in for a bite.
