The Albert in other cities:
Their burger was very good and trivia night (Wednesday nights at 8pm) was fun. I ordered fried pickles - they were good (thick-cut) but it cost $8 and it was only a small bowl. At other bars where I’ve ordered fried pickles I’ve gotten a heaping plate for a similar price.
My husband and I decided to give this place in our neighborhood a try and are so glad we did! They’ve updated everything they could to accommodate for social distancing. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a shrimp po’boy with fries and onion rings. Outstanding! Highly recommend.
I was there recently for a birthday gathering. The food was great! I had the Micah Special which you MUST request. I highly recommend it! The wings were fried just right (not too soft and not too hard). The sauce was awesome and different. Our drinks were good too! Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive. The overall atmosphere was laid back and I love the dining area decor. While there we heard about their brunch and we shall be back!
Im not sure whats different, but the food pre and post-covid is very different. Their food used to be so delicious, and it wasnt as great last time we were there. Its still a great bar, with great drink specials and trivia on Wednesday nights. I hope they return to their old menu/old recipes!
Good food not shy about the servings good wait staff Ill be there again. UPDATE: in the time of covid they are still doing the best they can. I ordered on line, it was ready when they said it would be, even got me some water for the thirsty dog i walked over there with. Excellent!
The Albert is AMAZING! Tia and her staff are the best service you will get in Atlanta. We hosted a baby shower for a friend, and not only was Tia so accommodating, her staff was there to ensure that everything was flawless. Tia was there waiting for us to arrive, and everyone helped set up and made sure we had everything that we needed. The food is amazing, and the service is the best in town. HIGHLY recommended, you will not be disappointed!
Will update after I finish the main course, but their IPA on tap is perfect for the outdoor seating. I have never had the appetizer pimento cheese and sausage served with toast points and it made my day! The atmosphere only added to our pleasure; though we kept our distance, the small number of people there engaged in great conversation. Good time all around!Update: The smoked chicken club is fantastic! 👌🏽
Good place to grab a bite with your friends. I visited on a Saturday. It was around 4pm. The place was buzzing but not packed. Service was fast and friendly. I got the Classic burger and it was good. Kind of had the taste of a street burger. Fries were hot and good as well. The teriyaki wings were also good as an appetizer. There were bigger which is always good.
Like the vibe but I got chicken wings and they were some of the worst I have had. they were so chewy I could not get them off the bone and several were bloody. My friend got the brussel sprout side and said they were great. I am hoping it was an off day with the wings cause I enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks.
This place is a great place to hang out and have a special dinner or session with friends and family. The aesthetic is quite enjoyable and the service is really personable. I found the food to be spectacular although I wouldnt necessarily suggest the kale salad we ordered. The wings however were large, thick, and meaty with a great flavor sauce.
The Albert is an Atlanta institution, and rightfully so! Their food is excellent, theyve got a great drink selection, and their team is always kind and helpful. I especially recommend The Albert burger, the patty melt, their smoked wings, and the onion rings - all delicious.Im particularly impressed with how well theyve adapted during covid. Their system for ordering and eating outside works well!
Love this little hole in the wall bar nestled in the middle of Inman Park! All their meat is smoked, which makes all of their southern style bar food amazing. It is a little different atmosphere during Covid, as the bar is lined with plexiglass and there are no servers, so you order from the bar, but still good food in a cool little spot!
Ive been to The Albert several times but Ive never left a review. We stopped in for dinner tonight. I ordered a dish that I tried once before, the BBQuterie. It was outstanding. The spare ribs are so good. Also, we started off with a pretzel with beer cheese dip. You can never go wrong with that. Our server was all business and very efficient. Good place to watch people as well. Will be back again soon.
Always great for a quick drop in during lunch. The food is great, staff is always friendly and the service is always on point. They are always very aware of people like me that need to get in and out on our lunch breaks.Get any of the hot dogs and murder that thing with some of their amazing chili, you wont be disappointed.
The food here is amazing. Ive yet to explore the entire menu but the Albert Burger and Dog are delicious. The kale salad is also worth mentioning. The brussel sprouts, mac and cheese, onion rings, and bacon creamed corn are my favorite sides.I will update this as I try new things on the menu.
Slightly stuffy gastropub near Inman park, with tasty brunch. Solid tap options and a large collection of quality canned/bottled options. Pimento cheese was good stuff. Service was somewhat slow sitting at the bar and the bartender, though efficient once we ordered, wasnt very friendly or attentive. They definitely push a locals only vibe and you could see the bartender really interacting with regulars so Im sure thats part of it. Overall still enjoyed it, and would definitely go again and check out there many options.
Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. We had the brisket melt and the black bean burger; both were delicious. If you are a fan of brussel sprouts, bacon, or blue cheese, you MUST get the brussel sprouts. Seriously, get it as your side, you wont regret it. The fries are amazing too.
I loved this place when it first opened. Its been slowly becoming more high end, or pretending to. When I visited this past weekend (first time in 5 years) the staff ignored me, it was busy, but I just wanted a beer. It didnt feel very homey anymore here, it was generic and trying to be nicer than it really was. Big changes for sure. They still have a smoker heavy portion of the menu, but I didnt eat on this trip. I am sure the food is still great.
Its true, the burgers are delicious, but it doesnt stop there. Great apps and sides too, good beer selection, and anything from the smoker is a win. Id be remiss if I didnt mention the fried chicken sandwich. Very local feel. Multiple TVs to watch a game (or the Walking Dead).
This used to be one of my favorite spots. They were always kind of rude but the food and drinks were good and usually surrounded by great conversations at the bar. Plus it was walkable from the house. Well with Covid there are no more convos at the bar with our neighbors, the menu has changed, we no longer live in Atl so its not a convenient walk, so its not really worth dealing with the rudeness anymore.
Um, this place has my favorite veggie burger. Im not vegetarian by any means but I cant get myself to order anything else. The menu feels random but wonderful, like something youd curate if you were stoned but still just practical enough. The crowd here is also good - definitely a more relaxed atmosphere than the other places in Inman Park.
The diner burger was ok. I was told that it was like a big mac only a lot better. Personally, I would have preferred the big mac. And for a lot less money. There is a regular burger on the menu and I would suggest that instead. My son got the fried chicken sandwich and it was very good. Daughter-in-law got the kale salad and it would be delicious if you like kale. I dont. Bloody Mary was delicious and had enough garnishes to almost make a meal of. Service was friendly and prompt. This place is in a great area where you can walk around or grab a bike rental right outside the restaurant.
Stopped at the Albert during a work trip in Atlanta. The bar is located nearby a loft of other restaurants but I think is the only one in the area which is more dive than the other locals. They have a good selection of liquors for cocktails and a good food menu. Not a ton of choices but food was really good.Service was very good and the bartender was really friendly. Will definitely go back there if Ill get in the area. Suggested!
The Albert is an Atlanta staple. Great burgers, awesome smoked wings, and good drinks make it a easy place to bring friends and have a good time. Right now its all takeout, but they have a couple tents and a few tables. Basically its a party in the parking lot, with masks.
Great place for dinner and staff is pretty friendly and helpful. Not really a sports bar but you most your game with all the the they have. Not appealing if you have a party larger than 6 but they will try and make it happen. The food is pretty good They are known for their smoked wings.
Went here as part of the Inman Park food tour and sampled the smoked wings and 3 house made sauces. These wings were some of the best Id ever eaten and the house made blue cheese was amazing. The bar side is really cool with awesome decor. Ill be back next time Im in the area.
One of my favorites. The wait staff has gotten friendlier over the years. Service is good and quick, and there are options for pretty healthy eating at a fair price. Food is not the most consistent - sometimes the wings are to die for and sometimes dry - but its usually quite good.
Their fried chicken sandwich is THE BOMB - perfectly crispy with the right amount of spicy. Id go for just that. The place is cool to hit with a friend or two, but its definitely not for big parties. Its a quick hop off the Beltline and tucked away, so it makes for a great pit-stop.
The food was not the quality I expected for the price I paid. $80 for 4 people to eat dinner at a bar is a good bit above the average and sets an expectation a bar cant really hope to come close to. Service and atmosphere are great though, especially during Braves postseason baseball 👍
The fiancee and I have been coming to The Albert since it was built. We used to live across the street. It has always been a chill neighborhood pub with a lot of restaurant industry people and neighborhood residents. They have great bar staff and decently priced drinks for Inman Park. Its a great spot to catch up, have a first date, or end a late night. I personally think it was too brightly lit the last time I was there, but thats not a reason to deduct a point. Check it out!
Tips: Brunch items are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm. or until they run out. Weeknights, the kitchen closes at 11pm. They currently charge .50 cents for each substitute item on a burger... ie, one tiny, soggy leaf of lettuce, and one little piece of tomato on a burger. And they will not tell you that before they charge for it (annd it doesnt state this anywhere on the menu!) Really not cool!If youre not a regular here, the service may seem a little on the aggressive side, for lack of a better word. The employees are all very nice though. The menu is pretty straightforward and not fancy. The burgers here are a very serious business, and by that I mean that they are seriously delicious! My two favourites are The O.D.B. burger that is available on the weekend brunch menu, and The Albert burger without onion. Im almost drooling just thinking about these as I type this. I also love the fried chicken sandwich. For a side with my burger, I really enjoy the kale salad. The green beans and the mac n cheese are also pretty good. As much as I love fries in general, I wont eat the ones from here anymore. They taste frozen and are really bad. I used to get the grits with my brunch, but they have started making them too spicy for me, unfortunately.
I went to The Albert on a Monday night. The bartender decided that me and my friend-who was celebrating a birthday- were rude before we ordered drinks and proceeded to give us terrible customer service. She talked poorly (and loudly) of us to her other patrons, as if trying to start a physical conflict. For the life of me I dont know what we said to her to offend her when we walked in. We were the only two black people in the whole establishment, so there is that. Whatever the reason, I dont plan on going again. We tried to make amends with her while we were there (to the phantom problem), but she wasnt having it and had security watch us for the rest of our stay. I was very disappointed. I met the owner a few years ago on a cooking competition show and was eager to give them business. We even went out of the way to go there.
Bar & restaurant hidden away in Inman Park. Im shocked by how few people actually know of this place.Great place to watch a sporting event with a plethora of TVs in the backroom. My friends and I almost solely order the Smoked Chicken Club with a side of the pan fried brussel sprouts (mixed with balsamic + feta). For drinks, we usually order the happy meal, shot + a pony beer.
My local for 5 years. I dont want to tell you how good it is, because then Ill never find a spot at the bar again. Ok, Ill tell you. The Albert Burger is my favorite burger in Atlanta. And Im pretty sure the fried chicken sandwich is the best damn fried chicken sandwich in the world. Regular and seasonal taps, well-priced cocktails, great atmosphere, incredible staff, awesome vibe. Other go tos: brisket melt; kale salad (yes, the kale salad - try it!); Inman pork, the wings. The sides are unique and delish. 💜
The atmosphere here is comfortable. This place has a laid back pub feel but a little more trendy drink and dining options. My girlfriend and I tried three different cocktails, the Inman Spice , the ATL Staycation, and the Springvale Secret Garden, while the ingredients in the drinks were very different, I found they all tasted exactly the same. The Smoked Chicken Nachos were our appetizer...they were cold and were covered in processed cheese sauce. The Albert is listed on Atlanta Magazines 20 Best Burgers list which was the reason we tried this place. I ordered the Albert Burger and my girlfriend ordered the Diner Burger and we were both underwhelmed. We read the burgers are intended to be thin and I understand a diner style patty should have some crsipiness on the outside, but these burgers had defintiely crossed the point of no return and were burnt. All the juice had dissipated and the meat was crumbly and as dry as the sahara, even the cheese had burnt into a cheese cracker from oozing over the dry patties onto the flat iron. As I stated before, the atmosphere was comfy, but I really have no reason to go back to the Albert again.
Average bar is average. The Albert is middle of the road in all categories. Service is ok, prices ok, cleanliness ok, food quality is ok. Ive come here for trivia night and it was fun. I cant think of anything that makes this place interesting or sets it apart though. Parking is also not great. Id say skip this place and go to a bar with more personality.
The Albert was one of my favorite Atlanta Bar& Grills until friends and I were refused service Sunday night because the host felt the establishment was too busy to service us. I pointed out there were two tables available and no other customers waiting. He pointed out the kitchen was slammed and he didnt have time to clear the available tables. Makes you wonder as to the real reasons why we were refused service...disappointing to say the least.
Went for evening 🍻🥃s- 🚫 food. Usual bar 4 service/quality/offerings, but a good-sized, fun crowd there on Fri nite w live DJ👌. 1 of 🔝 neighborhood nightlife locations bc its near end of strip w several other bars in it... Dont like this bar? Hop next door & try another place out✅. On-duty policeman stationed inside the bar that night- no clue what thats about, but strange 4 sure 👮⁉️
I love the Albert. Its a neighborhood kind of bar in a neighborhood that is QUICKLY losing its neighborhood vibe (not related, but I still cant believe the turned the victory into a parking garage. The food is consistently really good, drinks are great, and prices are reasonable!

2022-06-14First time at the Albert, won’t be the last. Great selection of food and beverages. We ordered the smoked chicken club and the brisket melt, both were excellent. The tots and homemade onion rings were great as well.

2021-12-15We were the first to arrive on a Sunday morning. Service was a little slow but we were warned they were short staffed and it may be a while before we would get our food. We didn’t mind. We sat outside where they have tables and umbrellas set up in the rear parking lot and enjoyed the sunshine. We were able to order drinks at the walk up window and were served those immediately. It was the perfect remedy for my hangover. When the food finally arrived it was hot and delicious. I got the burger with blue cheese with onion rings. The burger was tasty and the rings were large, perfectly battered and crispy. I have been coming to the Albert for years and hope folks continue to support this local favorite haunt.

2022-04-10You can seat yourself but the place is very homey feeling! I had the special Albert burger and it was to die for! The onions were so sweet and the cheese was even better. I had some pulled pork or chicken soup on the side which was seasoned so well! The service is also fast since the place isnt too big.

2022-07-09First time here and we loved the atmosphere as well as service. However, the fried chicken was probably the SALTIEST thing I have ever eaten. My tastebud was ruined and everything tasted salty after. The salt was big and obvious on the chicken batter. Please have your kitchen know the quality of things like this before serving it to customers!

2021-10-12I had someone I met in the airport tell me about the Albert and had never been. Its slightly off the main area of Inman Park so you can easily miss it like I had. I was excited when I arrived. Nice warm neighborhood decor. Service was warm and good as well. Drinks were poor and food marginal at best. We had 2 different cocktails neither were well prepared. We also had 2 burgers with different toppings. Fries and tots were good and hot. I could name 20 other burgers in town that are better. Bottom line...if you want a bee and hang out with friends definitely visit but if good cocktails and good food are what you desire go somewhere else.

2022-04-10Cool story (owners father was God-son of Albert Einstein), but the drink (mule with elderberry) was not great. Wings were good, homemade blue cheese sauce. Didnt try the boiled peanuts, but friend said they were really good sauce.Cool atmosphere and furnishings. Nicely decorated. Just was disappointed with the apparent signature drink. Its a bar with more tastier than average bar food. Not exactly revolutionary.

2022-03-06Nice atmosphere and decor, friendly staff...AMAZING FOOD! Three if us went, and all three of us RAVED about the food. The dining area was very quiet, however a Food Tour came in not too long after we ordered. The 15 people (roughly) on the Tour didnt affect our service or our experience one bit. Was curious why dining area was so empty, then realized everyone was eating in there outdoor dining area out back (which looked very pleasant, and the bar area was pretty full. Would DEFINITELY recommend and return. Parking was a little sparse, but we got lucky.** FYI - THEY ARE A CASHLESS ESTABLISHMENT, CREDIT/DEBIT ONLY. Their website and signs on windows front and back clearly state that, so we werent surprised, but I figured a little reinforcement would hurt.**

2022-03-23Really cool spot, very chill, no-nonsense bar with some good eats, too. Its a small place so the bar can get kind of busy but they also have tables/booths. We ordered the smoked wings with lemon pepper on them and they were AMAZING. Top notch smoked wings, for real!! I liked this place. It might not be as welcoming as some other places but its definitely a chill spot.

2021-10-21A friend told me about this place. I ordered a chicken sandwich togo. The griddle is so dirty and they did not bother to clean it! Look at the carbon on my chicken sandwich!!! Nasty. Better check inside before you eat. Food was mediocre. Disappointed.

2022-07-10Staff was nice and attentive. Burger was not worth the hype; burger chain quality. The fried chicken sandwich was saltier than... Ill keep it PG. Signature cocktail was poorly made also. Only reason for 3 stars was the staff.
