Had an issue with my road bike making loud clacking when under load. Ethan bent over backwards to make sure we resolved the issue. It took several visits, but they didnt gouge my pocketbook nickel and diming me. In fact, they only charged for what was finally deduced as the culprit. Great customer service. Ill be back next time I have any issues for sure. Recommend!
Its just a great local bike shop that is honest and knowledgeable. This is my fourth or fifth time dealing with them and almost every interaction has been consistent and positive. They wont upsell you. They will get you what you need and nothing more or less. Three or four years ago, I came in wanting a higher model of bike which they were honest in saying that I could get the same use out of a cheaper and more available model. Of my own choice I decided on the higher model. Today I came in for a repair and was planning on doing a full scale tune up to repair something I messed up on the bike when making adjustments myself. I dropped the bike off expecting 4 to 7 days for a repair but instead get a text that my bike is done 30 minutes later. Not only did they end up going ahead and fixing the bike but they told me that they honestly didn’t have to do the full tune up and repair like they initially thought. They gave me an adjusted price for that. They could have easily just let me continue to think I needed a full repair but they didn’t. I respect them for that and will continue to do business with them. Honest and knowledgeable. What more could you want from a bike shop?
Classy!! Thats the first thing my wife said when she walked into this store, and that is the perfect word for this business. I just bought my first bike here, a Trek Verve 2, and Bill and his staff are wonderful. They take the time with you and make sure they understand what you need and want, then they take their experience in biking and make you a happy customer. Ive went into many bike stores in this area and no one took the time with me like these fine folks. I highly recommend biking for many reasons and I highly recommend seeing these folks for all your needs. We started out riding big box stores bikes and after 2 months and a few hundred miles they fall apart. Derek, Ethan and Bill are the perfect examples of customer service. They are always friendly and willing to answer any of the thousand questions that this inexperienced cyclist has. Ive only been riding for a couple of years, and these guys have sold and serviced all three bikes I own. Ive never had an issue that these guys couldnt fix, and they are always fast and spot-on with the solution. From mechanical issues, to training techniques, to sharing their cycling routes, they are ALWAYS over-the-top in providing outstanding service! Thank you Bike Store staff!
My boyfriend and I went here to buy our first mountain bikes. We had no idea what to look for. The man who helped us took the time to explain the differences of each bike and answer all of our questions. The customer service and atmosphere here is superb. Everyone is so friendly and genuine. We will definitely be back to buy bikes in the future.
Wow! These guys did a great job!! I have a 20 year old Gary Fisher Super Caliber. The bike needed a level 3 maintenance. Ethan did a great job!! The bike was just like a new bike!! I had no idea the bike could ride that good again. Really impressed with their attention to detail and quick turnaround.

Very knowledgeable bike mechanics. I have owned bikes for over 20 years, and have worked on them extensively, so when I come across a problem that stumps me, it can be pretty involved. They have been able to fix every bike problem Ive brought to them. They have also been willing and well able to answer my questions and advise me on parts and equipment for those problems I was able to fix myself. They have a good selection, and can order things for you that they dont have on stock. Great, friendly service, reasonably priced.
The reviews are hit or miss on The Bike Store but they have always served my needs well. Quick service, friendly staff, and I have purchased 3 awesome road bikes from them and I have brought friends to them as well who were satisfied with their bikes. They are like family to me. They have played a major role since the day I started riding in 2005, and it would be hard to imagine this journey without them involved. This journey has consisted of 60,000+ miles and 3 excellent bikes, and it has been fun every step of the way. Highly recommend this store!

After having visited both bike shops (both are excellent) around here we went with 2 Trek bicycles from The Bike Store. I dealt with the manager Ethan and had an excellent experience. They had plenty of opportunity to oversell us but we ended up with just the right amount of bike for both my wife and I. Sales were speedy, and they made sure to address all of our concerns. My 3 year old was running all over the store - not a problem here, they have pro-level equipment but a family friendly atmosphere. Thanks
After much research my husband and I bought two Trek bikes from The Bike Store. Upon arriving, the owner greeted us and spent close to an hour answering our questions. He also cut us a deal on my bike and threw in a couple of items to help me get started (Im new to riding). As mentioned in other reviews there are two other bike stores in middle Georgia that carry reputable bike brands and are just as equipped to answer questions. Overall, I am pleased with the experience I had at The Bike Store -- great selection and friendly staff!
I recently bought two bikes from this place. Im new to riding so had a ton of questions and had no idea what kind of bike I needed. They were extremely patient and helpful in getting me the right bikes for our needs, and didnt try to push big sales on me. Im very, very happy with my bikes and the customer service I received!
I just recently got into biking and my husband is returning after a 15 year break. We have been bugging the guys at the Bike Store and they have been wonderful to us. Bill gets a bad rap sometimes, but he has been nothing but respectful, professional and friendly to me and my husband. Ethan is wonderful all around. Over the years we have bought 5 bikes from them and go there first if we can.
I have purchased three bikes and a bike rack from Bill and his crew over the past month and a half. Their selection of quality bikes are great, their prices reasonable, and their service -- while interspersed with some mild Bill ranting -- was overall very good. Initial impressions of entering the store can leave one unimpressed....the staff may not come up to you and offer assistance, but when asked offer great advice. After purchasing my second bike, the bike went on sale for $200 less two weeks later. While Bill said he could not refund the difference (he called Trek to ask about it), Bill did work with me on follow on purchases to make up the difference. Additionally, the $300 bike rack I purchased did not fit my car as advertised. Bill and his staff did a great job researching on the internet and calling Thule and Saris on options. While Bill appeared to have gotten mildly frustrated on one occasion on this matter, he really did come through on my final bike rack choice and even assembled the rack for us. Overall: dont let first impressions fool you. Get to know the staff and they can offer good advice and possibly better prices then advertised.
Best bike shop in town! And thats not because they are the only one. LOL. Truthfully they have great service, and genuinely want you to enjoy the sport of cycling as much as they do. Sometimes I go in just to bother them and talk. They also do group rides in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Great place to get connected with the local cycling community and buy your gear. Highly recommended.
This is a great place to purchase bikes, have them maintenance and repaired or just find good information on bikes in general. Owner and staff are exceptional and extremely knowledgeable in the business. I dont recommend any place lightly but this is my goto place hands down for any of my biking needs or accessories.
Ive heard riders here in Middle Georgia talk about the Bike Store both positively and negatively, and those comments seem to reflect the reviews Ive seen here. For me: Ive had good service from Bill and his staff. The Bike Store stands behind its products, and offers service and advice to anyone who asks for it. Ive had my bike for 5 years now, and I will revisit Bill and his staff there at the store again.
I bought my first mountain bike, a Trek from Bill, who was way helpful and patient. Bill even did a mini bike fit in the store that day at no charge. I have my Trek serviced there, even though I have to drive from Macon, since the only bike shop there is not acceptable. And I can tell you my bike is a perfect fit and serves me well on the trail. Ethan has spent valuable time answering questions about my next road bike, which I feel completely confident buying from The Bike Store from Bill & Ethan. God Bless You!
I met some of the staff. They are very attentive and polite. Ordered what I asked for and have fair prices for this level of cycling. They carry some decent labels and the place looks great. If you are serious about your cycle then this is the place for you
I was riding through Warner Robins, when suddenly, I couldn’t change gears. When I tried, the chain kept slipping. I googled “closest bike shop near me.” I sure got lucky finding The Bike Shop guys! They quickly got onto investigating the problem and found a pebble had lodged itself in between the gears. They removed the troublesome peddle and said, “Glad we could help, no charge!” My goodness, there are Good Samaritans in the world!
I purchased by bike from this store before I knew there were 2 other stores in the middle GA area. It was a major purchased to me, but to them it was more of a bother than anything. They made no mention of sizing the bike other than asking my height and having me straddle a couple. The owner was visibly upset when I said I wanted a kickstand on it and hamfisted the installation. This left me with a large gash in the paint where he installed it wrong and had to do it again. The wheels werent straight and they told me that was as good as they get and they couldnt be trued any better. A simple video on YouTube showed me how to true them and theyre perfect now. After a ride or two I noticed the handlebars were a little bent though Ive never wrecked the bike. I told them and they said I could purchase a new set but didnt offer to replace the bent set. At purchase time they offered a free tuneup in a year but after everything else Im not convinced they would actually do anything during the tuneup. To top it off, they dont offer a military discount and the two other stores do. I now take my business to the other stores for the outstanding customer service and the military discount. YMMV.
I agree with a few of the other reviewers that the owner of the store, Bill, is extremely rude and should be avoided if at all possible. Every time I’ve done business with him he gave off a vibe that was downright creepy. However, the good news is that he was smart enough to hire a friendly staff to make up for his lack of social skills. You may need to go to the bike store because they are basically the only bike store in Warner Robins and have a decent selection (don’t expect any deals though), but the risk of having to deal with Bill makes taking the 30 minute trip to the next closest bike shop in Macon worth it to me. Just know that if you do decide to shop here, that the friendly face you purchase your bike from will likely become bitterly resentful and bark disparaging remarks at you if you have any problems with it and need to bring it in for servicing.
These guys are by far the BEST bike store to deal with. All of the guys that work there have always been helpful and courteous towards me. If you are unsure of what you are looking for whether it be a road bike or a mountain bike, you will not find anyone with more knowledge than these guys.
My wife and I just purchased bikes from the store. We understand that buying a bike from a local store is very much like buying a car from a dealer...it is a long term investment into the store and staff. We are extremely pleased with our purchases and the commitment of the owner to helping us out. I highly recommend you visit and see what they have to offer.
I took my mountain bike to the bike store in Warner Robins get the tubes replaced. I find that one of the salespersons (might have been Bill) was constantly pushing me for more service on the bike. The bike hasn’t been used in over a year (maybe) and the brakes could have used some help too. He noticed that as well, and offered to tune the brakes for me. He stated, “I don’t want to a job half way.” I agree, but not after being charged $20 for brake tune up. I called them when I got home and told them to forget about the brakes. I could do that myself. Not happy with the “get as much money out of em” attitude with the man. I hope they see this review and think about their ethics. Cheers.

I had my father bring my BMX bike there in parts and had them build it for me they did an amazing job and after beating it up at the track for a couple months I just took it back to have them tune it up. Great guys great bike mechanics but most of all great customer service.
Very knowledgeable and helpful!! These guys really know what they are doing. My son had a hard to find tube that needed replaced the staff ordered it and installed it asap. Great bike selection also.

Bought my wife and i a pair of mtn bikes. Staff and owner have been nothing short of great. They have a high quality product with high quality customer service. They r also able to provide service on bikes. This is a huge benefit in this area. Hope more people become loyal customers like me.

2022-05-19I recently brought in an older bike that needed a fair amount of repair (wheels and chain replaced, etc). The man in the shop was very helpful and polite, answering all my questions and also making sure that the repairs didnt go over my budget. The bike was fixed in less than a week, and I was able to go on a long-awaited bike ride with my husband the next day! Everything worked great and I am very thankful for the repairs they were able to make. I would have had a hard time knowing where to locate parts since the bike was older, but they took care of everything for me. Wonderful experience!

2022-06-08Superb services, and the staff is super friendly. I drove from Macon county to fix my bike’s tire and my little man bike as well. I told my girlfriend about my first experience with this amazing bike store off of Waston Blvd. I remember me and my Dad first visit when we came to get our bikes fix. The staff is so helpful and a nice wide variety of bikes and styles you can choose from. They have a lot of high quality bikes. It felt like I was buying a car. Incredible experience. Great services, great selection, great prices.

2021-11-26I bought a high end bike at a local Sporting goods store and the gears did not shift properly, I took it to the Bike Store and they aligned everything perfect. The gears and brakes. They are truly professionals! I will go to them for future needs
