Lived here since 2016. Squirrels have been an issue still but at least the gates are working most of the time. Overall this place isnt bad unless youre having an issue that maintenance cant handle. (Like squirrels in the attic) If you have a problem like this, dont expect it to be fixed quickly, or at all. They have also changed my mailbox lock without telling me, leaving me unable to get mail for over a week due to awkward timing.... But theyre trying. Things are getting better and the apartment staff are pretty nice.Early 2022 update. Still here. Rent is going up a lot more than Im comfortable with but its more the parent corporations practices than anything else. Thought Id add the HVAC systems are also pretty old and your energy bills wont be the lowest in the world either. Still a quiet, nice place though. Having Google Fiber is wonderful.
I been living in this property for over a year and decided to renew my lease, there are down sides like most people mention but isn’t that everywhere? I look for immediate assistance and quality living while being appreciate and the crest has given me that. Valerie is great indeed even when we don’t agree lol she will tell you what you need to know so you can take care of it on a timely manner. Lot of new faces so far is ok.
Moved in October 2020 and actually loved my place and staff. Fast forward December 2020 and I hear some sort of animals running in my walls and ceilings. I’ve been making complaints since 12/26. Nobody has come out to do anything even tho they’ll mark the issue as completed on the request portal. Nobody answers and when they do they’ll say someone is on the way to fix the issue and never does. I live with my 2 small children. I was forced to leave at 3am to go stay with family because rodents are constantly running through my house. As of 1/5/21 there are rodents in my fireplace as well trying to get in my house. They are not treating it as an emergency. Maintenance told me they were “busy”. No outside company can be hired without apartments permission. This is a nightmare I want to break my lease. I’m paying rent for somewhere I’m not even living. I’ve been contacting the office, the manager, and corporate nothing is being done.I will say I love Vince and this could’ve been a good place to live but I cannot live with rodents.
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! These are by far the worst apartments I’ve ever lived in. Let’s start with they have ROACHES!!! We were moved from our first apartment because it was infested with roaches. Many buildings are infested with roaches affecting the ones that aren’t. You will still see them. Even in our second apartment we had to constantly spray. There are water bugs everywhere!!! They come in your house. We have killed up to 6-7 in one night. The maintenance is horrible and very incompetent. Emergency maintenance is a joke because theyre to lazy to do they’re job. We literally had a plug smoking and the wall was hot and they told us it had to wait until morning. They only came when I threatened legal action. We went 4 months without air conditioning over 10 maintenance request and several trips to the office they finally replaced it which should have been done much sooner. They had no fans to offer or portable ac units. We had to purchase a window unit and fans to keep our apartment cool with the temperature reaching 90-100 degrees on some days. Some issues they just plain ignore and don’t fix like our tub was peeling. It was supposed to get re glazed 12 months later is was never done. Last let’s talk about the root of why this complex is so terrible. The office staff. Starting with Michelle the property manager. She drags her feet in handling matters that are urgent, takes an inappropriate amount of time to respond to emails and makes a bunch of excuses on why she can’t get urgent matter handled in an timely manner. In fact they all drag they’re feet. There is no sense of urgency with any of them. The apartments have been renovated(some) there are nice amenities, however what comes along with it is not worth it. I went against my better judgment by ignoring the reviews about this complex. I hope this helps a family avoid the headache and extreme uncomfortableness we endured while tenants here.
Just moved in so this review may not account for a year worth of interaction. The leasing office process was a bit of a rush, all in understanding and no issue there. The surrounding area is convenient to shops in Duluth Pleasant Hill Road, as well gym options and grocery shops within walking distance if wanted. A mixture of different cultures is present here with dining options of European, Asian and American restaurants. The apartment complex is nice, maintained and quiet on the outside. As for the dumpsters, it’s only a minor inconvenience for parking and they were moved after their usefulness. The inside of the apartments, for those not renovated, could use some improvements but livable and not worrisome. It is quite roomy, comfortable space to live for a single person and/or small family.Everyone has a different standard depending on their expectation and living requirements. I have experienced worse conditions, so this new living experience is decent. If pest are ever the problem, rarely do I see them inside the apartment, then proper food storage and kitchenware cleaning and storage will best control the issue. In all, a good decision to move in.
My husband and I recently moved to The Crest and we are pretty happy with our apartment. We did alot of research and view many many apartment complexes in the area. But kept coming back to the Crest. All of the leasing staff made the process fairly easy and worked there best to accommodate us. We worked directly with Vince, he did a awesome job assisting us with finding the right apartment and moving us in as quickly as possible as we were on a time crunch. And has been able to resolve questions and concerns we have had. Maintenance has been very accommodating as well. We had a few minor issues that were taking care of immediately if not the next day. The community it self is quiet, maintained, friendly, and is in a great location. I would definitely recommend The Crest to anyone looking to move to Duluth.
I dont usually write reviews, but Ashley Moss that works in the leasing office is amazing! From the time I moved here till now she has made sure that I was taken care of. Any questions I ever had she answered and any issues that came up she made sure it was taken care of fast and efficiently. My experience of being a resident here has been great because of her.Hopefully this gets recognized since she does a phenomenal job!
Ive lived in Wesley Plantation for almost 1 year. I absolutely love living here! The community has a really great neighborhood feel - very quiet, family friendly, and lots of trees, shade, landscaping. I love my apartment because the floor plan is huge compared to the way they build new apartments these days , and the price is very affordable. Everything in my unit is brand new - appliances, carpet, paint, kitchen and bathroom floor, so its basically like a new apartment anyway. My neighbors are great - very nice, and very quiet! :) And the leasing staff, Liz and Elizabeth are super-nice and have gone out of their way several times to help me out. They always remember me and ask how things are going. Ive had a couple small maintenance requests and they took care of them same day. Lastly, the LOCATION of this complex is the best. Its easy to get in/out of and is centrally located close to anything you would need. I would definitely check them out if you are looking to save some money and live in a great location.
Thanks Valerie and Vince for showing me and my daughter your beautiful property! My daughter is so excited to move into this breathtaking community. Love the landscaping, clubhouse, the layouts, the proximity to great schools! Thanks for being so welcoming and showing us so many different apartments. I look forward to helping my daughter and granddaughter move into their new home. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
I read the other negative reviews and they could not be further from the truth. I have lived here for 3 years. Yes, my rent has gone up, yes so has the entire area. Yes, the apartments are older so let me tell you why I stay. I like the consistent Management in the office. The property name changed with the new management company but they staff did not which I think was smart. I stay because they treat me fairly and mainly because the excellent elementary school. Also i like the size of the apartments. Has my air conditioner gone out a few times- yes and they fixed it . It is very quiet and a well run complex. I hope to buy a house in the next year but until then, Im staying in the best school district for my two kids. Joe
Choose Wesley! I lived in the community for 1 year and left for a family emergency at end of my lease. I was very sad to leave because its hard to find a community that works for your family. The staff has always been friendly and professional. I never had any problems with pest, neighbors, noise or staff. If I had something that needed to be fixed maintenance took care of the issue promptly. This is a safe place to have children. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool during the summer. Very quiet community. I did receive my deposit back after I moved out. All of the staff remained professional and knowledgeable thru out the year. I am currently in process of moving back to Atlanta and Wesley will be the place to be. I would recommend this property to any one.
I hate that I even have to give one star. I guess I will attribute the one star to the decor. The leasing office and the apartment I was taken to see were very nice. However, when it comes to someplace that you will be spending the next 12 or more months Living... customer service, friendliness and integrity are extremely important. The Young woman that showed me the apartment was extremely unprofessional. I did come at the top of the last hour before closing for the leasing office. So I can understand if I had been told to come back another day. The apartment that I was interested in possibly leasing was unavailable. I was made aware of this over the phone but was offered the opportunity to see two properties that would give me an idea of what the intended apartment would look like. This young woman had absolutely no idea or no intention of offering me any information. I asked clarifying questions about what the apartment would look like. What similarities would be found in the other apartment. She chose not to or was on able to provide me any information. When I asked if I could at least see the appliances or cabinetry that would be in the apartment I wanted to lease she sucked her teeth inside saying that she left the keys at the leasing office and would be unable to get in. I can assume that she was pressed for time because I saw her speak with someone I can only assume was her son prior to us leaving to go view the apartment. But the 10 minutes that was spent speaking to someone in a foreign language concerning a picture on his cell phone prior to us leaving seem to negate the fact that she was pressed for time. She actually left the office and started walking without even letting me know that she wanted me to follow. This is after multiple in and out to speak with this other woman about the picture on her cell phone. I rushed to make it to this location from work only to have my time wasted. I will not be Leasing from or staying in this apartment complex.
This coming February will make a year since Ive lived here. Not just here in this community, but here in the awesome state of Georgia. A little background of me being here is that I basically came here following my heart, wanting to do something new in my life. After having discovered this community through Google Fibers Fiberhoods listing, I looked it up and could see that it definitely had mixed reviews. Nontheless, I also knew that reviews for communities are always littered by disgruntles tenants (which doesnt always paint the full picture of the average life of the average tenant). Now, Im not going to say that being here was 1000% perfect, but Ive had so much happiness and joy living here that it overshadows an issue or two that I ran into (neither of them being major issues, either).Any time Ive needed something done, or the time that I had to quit a job that was making me physically sick which meant I was short on my rent, I was able to work through the communitys Flex-Pay option to keep my priorities afloat.Michelle, the property manager has really ramped up the quality of this community over the 11 months that I have been here. The community has ALWAYS been kept clean within reason. If I werent moving into a house, I would 100% renew my lease and stay here for the year to come. If you do want a honest recommendation, this is it. I could have easily been a disgruntled tenant, but because of how much the community cared for me, I could not be happier.Thank you to Michelle, Jackie, other office staff old and new that have made my last year so enjoyable. Weve had a wild ride, but Im glad that we were able to do it together :)
Wow. Went for a tour today and was absolutely floored, cant believe I didnt film it. So the model look great, we were sold. We wanted to see ones we would actually be moving into so we were sent (she was busy I guess) to two others. The first was clean, maybe a bug or two, but stank to high heaven. Like the previous tenants had been cooking the same dish every day they had lived there. But the NEXT one.... no lights, carpet covered in mud, blunt wraps, ash, and tobacco shavings all over the place, full toilet, bugs in the sinks, and the cherry on top, broken window. I dont know if the leasing office was trying to send a message or they care so so little they didnt bother to check or upkeep it... it was astounding.
I toured here last week with Jaci, and she was absolutely amazing! I loved the location. Even though the apartments are a little older, they have a ton of space, and the staff are super awesome. They do a yoga class during the week as well which is pretty cool. The kitchens had tons of cabinet space, and some of the apartments had fireplaces too! They have Google Fiber, which is perfect for me. Im really excited to hopefully move here!
First and foremost, I am not a raging uncivil person. Wesley Plantation Apartments in Duluth GA are by far the worst apartments I have ever had the displeasure of living in. Although the front office is nice to you when you walk in, they are manipulative uncooperative people as soon as you walk out. I had to break my lease 6 months early because of all the unresolved issues I was having. The maintenance team will blame you for things that were wrong out of the gate. Example, when I moved in, the fridge was not working. I asked to have it replaced, instead they send out maintenance 6 times without ever fixing it. Upon threatening to move out, they brought me a new one that freezer did not work.If you are trying to save money, this is not the place to go. They just now hit me up for Stipulated fees upon my move out. I worked out of town for the majority of the week and used the apartment maybe 1 month out of 6 and I accumulated $1,000 in damages. They are nothing but filthy scum at these apartments.
We moved in 3 months ago when the old management was here. We were really happy with the staff and how they were so responsive to our questions and needs. Needless to say, things changed for the worst when the new management started. They are seemingly extorting money out of tenants here. We have renters insurance, and have had it since before we moved in. We have spoken with almost every member of their staff trying to figure out why we get charged $15 every month for not having renters insurance, and every time they say its been resolved. Every month goes by and its still there, that $15 fee (even after sending it to them every month we see it on our statement!) Not sure if they keep losing it or they just want money. I also noticed we arent being charged what our lease says. Our rent has gone up $25/mo too. I work the hours that the office staff is open and havent been able to resolve any of this over the phone. Maintenance has never come out and fixed our issues with the apartment. Our AC still doesnt work even though we have asked them to come out 3 times to fix it (its been broken since we moved in).Honestly would not recommend to anyone. Im really disappointed in this place because of the new management.
The overall process was nothing short of easy! Ashley told us she was new to the job, but assured us we’d leave with no unanswered questions. i appreciate how fast the whole moving process was for me, and even tho i was asking for a lot, the staff made sure everything was taken care up. i didn’t have to deal with attitude or at no pint did i feel like my wants/needs couldn’t be met. so far i love my new home and i’ve already been telling everyone about it! thanks again for such a great experience
I was a tenant here for approx 4 years. My small family was transferrred to another country in Feb 2019 and I had to break my lease. I contacted the leasing office a few times. The leasing agents were always very welcoming and kind to me. I was told I needed to speak to the manager. I was introduced to the manger and this was the first time since living here I had ever met or seen the manager. I asked to myself why have i never seen the manager in 4 years??? While my situation was addressed I felt the need to ask. Upon exit of her office, I asked one of the leasing agents why this is the first time I had ever heard of the manager or seen her. THe response I received was Its your lucky day, normally she doesnt bother coming in or working.Message to corporate: Just change the name from The Management Group to The Apartment Complex, thats just about as creative.
I just renewed my lease after being in my current location 1 year. Pros: Safety, Google Fiber, Great Location, Responsiveness of Manager, Prompt Maintenance. Cons: Rent keeps going up(due to the increases in the current area) and the age of the buildings.Complex is currently going through upgrades(landscaping, gates, new clubhouse) and they are not going unnoticed. Everyone has their gripes about Apartments, but I suggest give this place a try.
Lived in this property for 2 yrs. Had to move because of job.Below are based on my experiencePros :-- Friendly staff-- Appliances worked fine-- Quiet neighbors (this part is your luck)-- Location of property is near to groceries, gym, restaurants, etc-- Well maintained property and was so quiet, I liked my daily walksCons :-- Roaches (Many properties that I have looked for had similar reviews )(We kept our apt very very clean and treatment was multiple times. No matter what we did, roaches wouldnt leave)-- Few Maintennace guys doesnt understand english well. Communication is hard with them-- few times, water pipe broke and didnt have water for almost the whole day. Before this, I came from a state where rents are very very high for a very very small space. From there to this property, I am very happy with the move.Good place for the rent paid. Use your best judgement
Vincent is so welcoming And kind, I first inquired about the property amidst the Covid pandemic.Like some of the reviews stated I did see roaches/water bugs in the model unit.He did reassure me that ongoing efforts to keep insects away were being taken, as they added valet trash. The unit I wanted wasn’t available The first time so I told him I’d check back in a few months. While I was having minor issues due to the impacts of Covid he was willing to provide assistance and help me as best as he could.I will check back in another few months and update my review!Thank you Crest at Berkeley lake !
I was a longtime resident; never had major problems when I lived there. They do nickle and dime you for things like water and service fees, which can add up quickly, but that happens in plenty of places. The REAL problems start when you move out. I had a good relationship with the front office and, since I am always at work and keep a clean apartment, didnt think it was a big deal to turn in my move-out paperwork and pass on the move-out inspection. HUGE mistake. They NEVER contacted me; I just suddenly started getting calls from debt collection, which I assumed were a scam. Nope! These scam artists reported that I owed them to replace the carpet, countertops, and stovetop... that I NEVER cooked on! I even vacuumed and ran my carpet cleaner before I left! And in Georgia, as a tenant, you have essentially no rights if you dont dispute ON the move out paperwork any charges... which I never had the opportunity to do. DO NOT TRUST THEM. This is absolutely what amounts to legal extortion. Totally unethical; I would give zero stars if I could.
Ive been living here for a while now and I must say the quality has declined at an extremely fast rate. When I first moved to the property it was owned under Wesley Properties and the complex was Wesley Plantation. Now that TMG properties has taken over it is complete trash. Im literally in the leasing office more than the Property Manager Michelle. It must be nice to literally never be at work. The property is too big not to have leadership. No matter what time of day you go into the office she isnt available. She doesnt respond to emails or properly services the complex. It would be one thing if the current staff was properly trained, however each time you ask them questions they dont have any answers. The staff is bad mainly because Michelle is not there to train and now there arent any more experienced leasing consultants. The blind leading the blind. The lease agreement is filled with rules and regulations that would provide you with a sense of certainty that you would gain a peace of mind about where you live. The only thing they care about is receiving money. I have sooooo many emails that havent been returned or have be answered with broken promises. It is extremely frustrating. On this property you will find loitering, drug deals, trash, ashes in the breezeway, pit bulls, and dogs being walked with no leashes. Im not sure what itll take to get a response or a sense of urgency regarding the complexes conditions. You cant forget the late pool parties with no supervision or loud music.1. My parking lot is pitch black. I sent an email back in April requesting a work order being placed. It is damn near July and nothing has happened. (I have pictures)2. Pit bulls and emails not answered regarding the aggressive breed. The lease agreement clearly states the breed isnt allowed.(see pictures)3. Trash in the breezeway left by neighbors. This is before the courtesy trash service. The trash attacks bugs, animals, and leaves stains in the breezeway. (see pictures)4. The property started doing construction months ago which has since been completed, however in the parking lot there is an additional dumpster. Now that it is the summer time it has the most horrible smell and attracts cats. (see pictures )I cant wait to leave this property. Do not move here. The apartments are dated and you will be dealing with so many problems its not worth your time.
This apartment is a terrible place to live, and I would recommend looking elsewhere. Just read the first couple of lines of this sentence and don’t sign the contract. I promise you that it will be the worst mistake you ever make because the office workers apparently don’t know how to do the jobs that they are being paid for. They just sit in their office doing who knows what, and they can’t even get their jobs right. When we first moved in, we reserved this location of the apartment we really like, but for some reason, the “reservation” was cancelled due to some weird reason. They changed our apartments multiple times, and it was so stressful because we didn’t know what to do. Our other apartment contract was ending, and Wesley Plantation was being such a difficult place to deal with, so it was a time in our lives we really regret.Please. If you did read this, please think that I am only trying to do good by warning you guys of this place. The place doesn’t deserve any stars, and if I could take away the current star ratings, I would. I really wish I can just deduct that average and make a 0.
I have had such an amazing experience with Liz! She has helped me so much. Any maintenance problems or anything I have an issue with she has taken care of it. And rather quickly too! I moved here in October and dont plan on going anywhere for awhile!! Go on and ask for Liz! Shes great!!!! Great apartment!!! Love it!
Pros: Has google fiberCons: Pretty much everything else. This place has the least helpful/useful staff/maintenance teams you will ever see. Its pretty rare that calling/coming in to the office actually results in finding an employee. Every promise they made about fixing stuff before I moved in has been broken. There are still issues 7+ months later that no one cares enough to deal with. 30-50% of the mail boxes that belong to the apartment dont actually lock so anyone can just come by and take your mail. The heating/ac units have been broken for months but no repairs have been made. The Gym has been closed for the 7+ months that I have been here and years before that according to other residents. Things like leaks and dishwasher/stove breaks happen waaay to frequently and are never fixed completely, just band aided. If you dont care about having the best internet, I would look elsewhere.
Buyers Remorse. Like so many people the Leasing assistants were very helpful and have always been. We recently had a manager change. It has been rough! Madeline maybe new, but she better jump in the water, sink or swim the TMG way! John Paul is an absentee Owner so you gotta learn it yourself! Try to make the community better! Downed trees at the back entrance. Trash piled up at the dumpster, and last but not least White constructon vans everywhere. Yes, Mexicans bringing home their work vans. A tow truck in next to building 24 ALBI there towing hasnt moved in weeks. Ill take pics and post them shortly. Time to get it together before its too late Ms. Manager...
Well I can only speak on my experience. I recently moved in because I heard lots of good things about this complex. My agent was Liz, shes absolutely phenomenal! Youll know who she is when you walk in because shes always smiling, always happy, always pleasant. If you give Liz your wish list, your time frame that you need to move, she will make it happen. She will do everything in her power, to get you what you want.My first preference wasnt ready when it was time to move, that was no fault on anyones part. She offered me another unit, sane floor plan for less rent. Even though it was downstairs and I wanted to be upstairs, I agreed because I had a specific time frame to move. Then Michelle, the manager, comes along and she knew what happened. She said let me see if anything else has come available because I know you really want upstairs and I dont just want you to move in, but I want you to be happy. One had just become available, fully renovated and upstairs!!!! She asked me could I wait a few extra days and shed put a rush to get it ready. I was SO happy. Michelle did everything she promised. That went a long way with me because it showed me she cares about her residents.I cant wait to come home every day now, because it is home. I am so pleased with my decision to move here. Its quiet, neighbors are quiet, grounds are kept clean. So far, so good. As I said, if you want someone to listen to your needs and must haves, ask for Liz. I know you wont be disappointed because Im sure not!
Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in an apartment community. The staff are deceitful, and fabricate excuses instead of just admitting that they messed up. The maintenance staff spends more effort to milk the clock than they actually do working on issues. IF they respond, they will more than likely Band-Aid the problem compared to fixing it, requiring the entire process of getting something actually repaired to start over. The staff does not care about you once they get you into a contract and will literally blow you off if they are working on a possible new deal. The price of an apartment is astronomical considering the condition of the units. The best advise that I can give is to tear the entire place down and make a parking lot.
Avoid this place at all costs. Specifically, if you just have to live here, make sure you pay the final water bill as soon as you can, and get it in writing that it is paid. They will claim to forward it to you, and then the next time you hear about it will be four years later, after they have purportedly contacted a collections agency. None of this will be backed up by documentation or facts, but they will keep it on file and impact your future ability to rent/purchase property. And that is not even touching on the maintenance staff ignoring requests, repeatedly dismissing reported fire hazards, and the office staff calling you a liar while increasing the water bill despite use being reduced.Seriously, there are better places in this area.
I was looking for an apartment and it had to be on the first floor with hardwood floor. They said they had a perfect one for me with the required I needed. On the moving date I saw that the apartment they selected had carpet floor and not wood. I have a dog and thats why I asked for the woodfoor. They didnt care about their mistake and just gave me the option to give my money back or get another apartment $200 more expensive. If your are thinking about moving here write everything down and make them sign because their word means nothing.
STAY AWAY. I would give this 0 stars if possible. This property is very poorly managed and maintained. The apartment I lived in had numerous problems including an uneven foundation and a water heater with a broken safety valve. After submitting numerous maintenance requests over 1.5 years, most were closed without resolution and some requests were deleted from the system. Maintenance staff would also enter the apartment and not leave any documentation. Management also had a third party maintenance person come review the apartment and he verbally deemed it unlivable.
Horrible place to live. I have tried to talk to the management group because at least twice a week the air conditioner goes out of blows fuses but they claim it works just fine. I was told by ernesto in the office that it is livable conditions when I told him the apartment doesnt get below 75 degrees. If Im paying this much I can have the air at whatever I please. Horrible place to live and very unprofessional staff members. Last and most important is when I was in the office last month Fransisco was yelling and cussing at someone who was trying to get a lease who had all of the money. I dont care if the guy was yelling at you first you are the management of the apartment complex show professionalism.
I went to tour an apartment today and get some information on a 2x2. The female leasing agent was new as i was told but she lacked personality, was not very engaging and barely gave me a tour of the apartment. These types of jobs arent good for people without a bubbly personality because youre trying to sell something. I loved the layout and space, but unfortunately paying $800 for 2 small dogs under 10lbs each isnt worth it to move in here.
Im not one that complains much, but this place is pretty much a people mill. Smiling faces to get you in and then down hill. The HVAC flooded my apartment at least 3 times. It then caught fire and I had to put it out myself. When I opened the HVAC, I found that wires were connected with masking tape and other wires were totally exposed. Do you think they fixed the issue? Of course not. They just patched it up and left it as is. This place is not concerned with keeping its residents happy. Im not someone who has an ax to grind, Im just a regular guy who knows whats right and what is wrong. This place is definitely wrong. I didnt even get into how my apartment was broken in to, and Wesley never fixed my door properly or the window that was broken.
Most likely the worst apartments you will ever see. They tend to do things like turn off your auto pay and not notify you until you have hundreds of dollars in late fees and add on 400$ extra a month on a month to month extension that you are forced to do if you do not come in and give them a 60 day notice exactly 60 days before your lease ends.
I moved from Florida to Duluth. I had no clue on where to look or begin. Despite what all the other reviews said about the property, me and my family chose to live in this community. Customer service and knowing that someone cares is really important to me and my family. From day one the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The property manager and staff is very caring and always understanding. I will tell anybody before you choose not to look at this property because of the reviews TAKE A LOOK FOR YOURSELF. Dont base your decision off of anybody elses experience because everyones experience is different. I say take a look because I bet you will feel right at home😃!!
The absolute worst place to rent! The power goes off unexpectedly at least once a month, and the water is sporadically turned off for hours at a time. Currently, the water has been off since 1PM. It is now 9PM, and there is no definitive answer on when the water will be back on.Update: 7/8/2019The power has gone out twice in the last week. This is definitely not the place to live if you or someone in your household requires medical interventions like breathing machines, home dialysis, etc. Something needs to be done, but the manager is never here and the staff has a pass the buck mentality. There are better and safer places to rent.
Been in this complex for 10 years. Have reported many times disturbance. complaints recently..Issue still not resolved. Reptile living above me. Whipping noises during the night. I am awaken atleast 5 times a night. Cannot get any sleep rest or peace. This has been going on for months. Do not know how much more I can take. Hope this review will help me and be finally handled.. At my wits end. Do not feel safe and comfortable.
The Crest at Berkeley Lake? More like the CRUST at Berkeley Lake. This place is as crusty as it gets. Pests and mosquitos everywhere. Horrible appliances and everything always breaking. The bathrooms are old and the toilet is basically the size of a training potty. Definitely not proud to live here. Its NOT worth the price at all. They will also raise your rent before your lease is up... Very illegal. The staff is aweful and never answers the phone. I wish I had listened to reviews before moving in.
Terrible customer service. They never answer the phones, maintenance is terrible, they have an emergency maintenance number however no one is ever available for emergencies. The manager of the apartments is never available to solve issues and you never see her. Ive been living here for almost a year and I have to fix my own emergency issues. I am currently looking for their corporate number so that I can complain.
Please see recent report from Newspaper: On a side note, Manager was Working from Home that day.......never knows whats going on.Duluth police converged on an apartment complex earlier this week and apprehended a burglary suspect who was fleeing on foot.Duluth police said a call came in at approximately 1:17 p.m. Monday from a resident at The Crest at Berkeley Lake apartments, located at 2303 Wesley Plantation Drive. The caller said he heard a burglar attempt to come into a window and gave a rough description of the suspect. Police said the burglar fled the location without gaining complete access to the apartment. After an officer took statements and information from the victim of the attempted burglary, a different officer went to a separate apartment building and spoke with a suspect who matched the description the victim provided.Officers found Atlanta resident Jatavious Denny, 22, at a nearby building. Police said the victim positively identified Denny as the suspect.Denny was placed under arrest and transported to Gwinnett County Jail for booking. He was charged with burglary and possession of tools during the commission of a crime.Police said they noticed a pry mark on the window near the living room of the apartment and the window was pushed up. There were no noticeable fingerprints.
Pros: Great location, flexible monthly payment options- break rent into 2-3 payments , Customer Service from Nicole and Michelle - very helpful & will go above & beyond will treat you like family and not like another resident and maintenance are honest and will come out and fix issues rather quickly. Community updates and free boot campCons: sewage bill can be high based water usage
Where do I start?? Lets start with the manager, works maybe 25 hours a week, struggles to get in everyday(your lucky if she actually comes in), the staff below her are left to do all the dirty work. Next, the roofing situation that is currently happening. We get an email detailing the schedule how this should happen. FAIL. Gutters havent even started, no follow up email(manager probably forgot to show up). Dont let them fool you, the roofs were repaired with insurance money as a necessity, not as an improvement(as the manager would put it). Word of advice to TMG: find a manager that is more than just a puppet.....
I wish I could give no stars...The actions of the entire office was totally unacceptable! I have never in my life experience such neglect, unprofessionalism, and carelessness with someones livelihood. On our date to move in, Elizabeth and Liz, stated we could not move into apartment 2602 because it was infested with roaches and they did not have another apartment available for us to move into, sorry without any remorse. I literally broke down into tears. This left my family, literally homeless. No place to go. We were devastated beyond belief. Who waits until you have turned in keys to your last residence, arrive at the new location, with truck loaded and ready, that you cant move in, nor do they have another apartment for you?! HORRIBLE OFFICE!! STILL FIGHTING FOR RETURN OF DEPOSIT MONIES AND FEES PAID. MICHELLE, LIZ, AND ELIZABETH ARE ALL INCOMPETENT AND NEED TO BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY!!!
My fiance and I applied with Jocenna at this property on August 30th, and were told we were pre-approved, so we provided a GOOD FAITH deposit to hold our unit. We were then told that we would receive a call to confirm our final approval by September 2nd. Needless to say, that never happened. After not hearing from Jocenna for a couple more weeks, I called them and then found out that we were in fact denied. Upon learning that information, I asked her specifically, if we were denied, why did I not receive a call like I was advised to tell me this? She then proceeded to tell me some bogus story about how they sent me an email (LIE #1) and if I didnt get it, it may have went to my spam box (LIE #2). I then stated to her that legally, and based on their own policy, and any property management companies policies, the procedure is to contact a potential resident upon denial to advise them that they are denied so that any moneys received, excluding the application fees, could be refunded. She then proceeds to tell me that it was up to us to call them in 72 hours to find out if we were approved (LIE #3) and that we would not be refunded our GOOD FAITH deposit. She must have thought that I didnt know any better and that I was just going to say ok and let them get away with it but, she was wrong. I contacted Corporate, advised them that not only does Wesley Plantations policy state and I quote regarding GOOD FAITH DEPOSITS: ****Applicant understands and agrees that the GOOD FAITH DEPOSIT and other Deposits or Non-Refundable fees paid will be returned if the applicant is NOT ACCEPTED as a resident.**** and I told them that if they dont refund me my money, I will be forced to take legal action because I have proof in black and white. Corporate then contacted Jocennas manager and advised her to refund us our money back. To sum it all up, based on us having to go through this as Prospective Tenants, I wouldve have hated to see what was in store for us if we did end up becoming actual Tenants. Us not getting approved for this property was a blessing in disguise and hopefully this review will have everyone thinking twice before even applying for this property based on their deceptive practices.
I would give ZERO star if possible. DO NOT LEASE FROM HERE. The staff will assure you of one thing verbally then you find out later that it was a complete lie and they will pull out the tiny print in the contract to prove it. They scam Scam SCAM. In case you did not hear me THEY ARE A SCAMMING COMPANY!!!!!!!! DO NOT LEASE FROM HERE. The actions of the entire office was totally unacceptable! I have never experienced such unprofessional actions in the staff of a company who wants repeat business. Also, they will call you back everyday when you are trying to sign a lease but once you sign it and move in.................They will not answer the phone. If you get lucky they might call you back in about a week but dont hold your breath. Please do not let them tell you I am the probably. Please read all of the other reviews and read the fine print of the contract for hours and HOURS before signing it.
I have been living in these apartments for almost a year and the maintenance was bad really bad, one time i call for an emergency with water leak and they came 3 days later when I had already called someone else to get it fixed, the windows are filled of mold and water and I could never get that solve , the windows are missing screens from the day i move and they told me that the would put them on and they still dnt have them on, also there is NOT space where you can go for a walk because all the grass is full of dog poop, also they dnt have control of how many people live per apartment , i see apartments where they are at least 14 persons living on it,and car are flying no matter if they are kids around, residents cooking(grilling) at their patio(balcony) that is not safe, and The gate never works its always open anytime and if its closed you cant open it because the card scanner dsnt work so you have to come in by the exit gate and its not safe! and better not to mention how often the power goes out
DONT MOVE HERE, i repeat dont move here. I REPEAT AGAIN DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Its not worth that much they charge they never come fix anything when everything breaks they just patch it up and then it breaks again. Its just not worth it I hate that I got to stay here I dont want to pay the rent at all. My heat only works when its on 80 and above. Just dont waste your time. Look at everybody review.
The best place to stay with multicultural surrounding and best Management all hands on to serve you with best they can do. Miss the preety welcome smile of Nicole,Professional Elizabeth. I would highly recommend the place if you like a calm and quite place ofcourse it is safe as well.
I called twice to put in a service request. One of the staff member told me they put in. It has been two weeks and no one came out. When I called back it was never put in. Thank you Jeraldine she was the only one who took it in to consideration and had maintenance to address my issue.
I currently reside at The crest at Berkeley lake apts and I have lived here for about 3 years and just recently my husband and I moved on our own here and first of all maintenance is the worst I have ever experienced its mid july where heat index is over 100 and my A.C. stopped working so I called the emergency maintenance and hes gonna say its something electrical first of all how do you know you havent even came out to check and I also have asthma so I pray i dont get sick from this heat because he was too lazy to come out and look at my A.C. everybody else is very friendly and I hate that I gave it only 1 star but they need better maintenance!!!
Had I done more research. This is not the place I wouldve chosen to live!!!IF I COULD LEAVE NO STARS THAT WOULD BE MORE ACCURATE!!! THOUGH VICTIR AND VALERIE DID WHAT THEY COULD TO ASSIST ME WHEN I NEEDED AN IMMEDIATE TRANSFER BUT NOTHING COULD BE DONE WITHOUT THE PROPERTY MANAGER WHOM WAS NON EXISTANT. NOT ONLY WAS I HIT WITH SURPRISE FEES BUT WHEN I REACHRD OUT TO THE PROPERTY MANAGER MY CALLS AND CONCERS WENT UNANSWERED FOR 3 WEEKS!! FORCING ME TO VOLUNTARILY BREAK MY LEASE. I LIVED THERE FOR ALMOST 3 YEARS AND CONSIDERED IT MY HOME. IT SEEMS SHE MAY HAVE USED COVID-19 AS AN EXCUSE FOR PLOSSIBLE DENIABILITY FOR SUCH OOOR RESIDENT (CUSTOMER SERVICE). I HAD A GENUINE CONCERN AND HAD OF BEEN ADDRESSED PROPERLY I WOULD STILL BE LIVING THERE.BELOW ARE PHOTOS OF WHAT YOU MAY EXPERIENCE WITHIN YOUR FIRST WEEK OF MOVING IN:
We lived 3 years in this community, very good location, walking distance to market, gym etc, maintenance services are excellent, especially note to Juan Carlos, very competent, the office people all friendly and helpful, especial note to Michelle Phyfer, CAM--Community Manager and Elizabeth Espinal .We Recommend this community!!
I would give 0 rating to this apartment, very disappointing maintenance team, your ticket will be closed very next day with out even visting house or with out even understanding issue, you end up creating multiple tickets for same issue and every ticket should be brough up to manager, your issue will be resolved if your lucky enough else create another ticket, i have never seen 100+ water bill for one bed room house (we were out of town for 8 days though), front desk say, you will be charged only for hot water but bill will be like entire building, this is very dangerous apartment, do not even plan to move in please.....not worth of single star too
Horrible.... I have lived here for almost a year now and I am counting down the days for my lease to be over... It has been hell... The maintenance is the worst.. We have spent weeks with no air conditioning before anyone came to fix it.... Days with no water because they are so incompetent and we had a broken sink and they tried to charge us for it... And everytime we have a problem it seems almost impossible to reach anyone.... I HIGHLY discourage anyone from moving into these apartments.... I wish I never would have
2021 HAPPY NEW YEAR THROUGH THIS PANDIC THE CREST HAS BEEN AWESOME, I RENEWED MY LEASE ANOTHER YEAR, WHOO HOO I BEEN HERE OVER 4YEAR EACH YEAR THE CREST HAS MADE ALOT OF POSTIVE CHANGES TO MAKE I COMMUNITY BETTER. KUDOS :)THE BIGEST CHANGE I LIKE IS THAT PLANTATION WILL BE PERMANENTLY REMOVE WAY TO GO !! :) STAFF IS GREAT. MAINTENANCE KUDOS GREAT JOB, FAST AND COVID READY TO PROTECT US :)
I came to this Complex more than 1 year ago, being attended by VALERIE, a 4x4, friendly, cooperative, solves everything at the moment. Because of those virtues that she possesses, that is why most of us who live here look for her. She is very professional and serious about her job. Highly recommended.
I loved the attention of the staff of The crest bekerley lake, especially that of Miss Valery, always very attentive and willing to help with any questions or problems you have, she always solves us on time. A familiar and comfortable atmosphere! Dont hesitate to contact her
Beautiful community in the heart of Duluth, one of the best school districts and very well served. The maintenance team is great and the new management is doing a great job. Valerie helped us do our 5th renovation she is great too we are happy to have her! Berkeley lake is my home forever.
One of the things that attracted me to this place, apart from the location, was the good treatment of the people who attended me in the main office... From the first day I arrived, Valery treated me very well and transmitted the confidence I needed to make the decision to move into this complex......
Excellent service, renewing contract for the third time! I cant be happier now more with the new manager who is so attentive. The people in the office very attentive and helpful especially Valerie Cruz who always stays in touch until things are resolved. Without a doubt great improvements and the best team of all time!

2022-07-05Although my time living here was brief, due to a major tragedy in my family, Valerie Cruz and the entire property management team was amazing! From the time I started working with Valerie, before my move-in date, her sweet disposition and willingness to go beyond for somebody transitioning from another state over 500 miles away in the dead of the northern winter, truly touched my heart. The apartments are super spacious, clean, and the surrounding grounds were always kept very nicely. The noise levels were low and there was not much foot traffic where my apartment was. I wish my circumstances were different to afford me the opportunity to lease again in the future, I truly would. No complaints from a completely satisfied tenant! Please dont believe the bad things you read...you cant satisfy everybody! Peace and Blessings!

2022-04-12I wish I could give zero stars. We relocated to Georgia from NJ in August 2021. We have been renting an apartment at the Crest at Berkeley lake for the past 9 months and it has been a complete NIGHTMARE! From the day we moved I have had a plethora of issues not limited to leaks, mold, and plumbing that is not up to city code. I have filed many complaints and have documented everything since the day I moved in. I lost my father one month before moving here and having to bury my father and then move into this horrible unit has made my life extremely difficult and unsettling. The first week sleeping in our unit we had a leak that extended to our carpet. My son who has been diagnosed with allergy induced asthma since moving to this unit is the most at risk due to the mold, mildew and his severe asthma. I have expressed my concerns for months and was even told that the issues were not of concern. My carpet and Sheetrock walls have been soaked more than 4 times in the past few months and yet They have refused to relocate me or remove the carpet from my unit.

2021-09-02We absolutely love this property and the community. The leasing office staff especially Ms. Valerie and the maintenance team are excellent! They are all warm, friendly, informative, kind, respectful and responsive. I love that we get regular email communications to keep us updated. They have an online portal to make payments and submit maintenance request - which are completed in 24 hours depending on the repair. We enjoy evening strolls around the grounds to see how beautiful and well kept. You will love this place if you are looking for a safe and well kept community.

2022-04-05Recently moved in to these apartments, Vince was great helping us move in and working out the details of an out-of-state move. Lovely location, lots of nearby restaurants and good facilities and great apartment room itself. Thanks Vince! Happy being here.

2022-06-19We have been here for almost 3 years and our experience has been very good, it is quiet, it is safe, the maintenance team gets things done right away, the front office team always takes care of you, especially Valerie, she always clears up any doubts and solves any need we have had. Is a great place!

2021-03-14My husband and I lived in building 1900 for 13 months. We loved the place through out the time we were there. Maintenance was always prompt to our work order and our issue normally were resolved within 24 hours. Ashley and Valerie at the leasing office were very helpful. Our neighbors were friendly, the whole neighborhood was quiet and the location was very nice. However, there are a few things that dropped 5 stars to only 3.1) We had to deal with roach issue inside the apartment for the first three months. And we had to constantly spray Raid around the entryway, balcony door frames and window frames in order to keep the roaches out the whole time we lived there. Mind you, we are nowhere near dirty, all the roaches came from the breezeway and bushes.2) The utility bills fluctuate like crazy. We started from $60/month to $100, $120, $130, $150 and $180/month. There were only my husband and I lived in the apartment and we never had a guests stayed over. Our water usage was very normal and consistent. However, the rate of water and sewer somehow changes every month. The leasing office said they have no control over this and they have been getting the same complaints from different residents before. I have also talked to some neighbors, and oddly enough, some of them were paying less with family of four. I made a complaint with the utility company after I received the ridiculous $180 bill, and my bill somehow dropped back to $60-70 range the following month.3) TRIPLE CHECK YOUR MOVE OUT STATEMENT. Two weeks after I paid my final move out statement, the property manager, Madelin Reyes, emailed me and asked me for more money because “there was an error on the final statement”. She claimed that the final utility bill was not processed in time in order to be added on the final statement. However, the truth is, the final utility was definitely on the statement and was paid already, but the property manager herself did not understand how their accounting system works and accidentally double charged me on the ledger. I had to personally go back to the leasing office, looked at their ledger and pointed out where she double charged me over and over again in order for her to understand. She even said to me “Thank you for explaining to me. I always get confused with the system”. I understand everyone has pros and cons. If she happens to be not so good at math and accounting, then maybe she shouldn’t be in charge of these. I can’t help but keep thinking how many people have she wronged and overcharged. And the worst part was she would not admit she made a mistake. Very frustrating.

2021-11-21Been here for more that a month and we are happy. Mr Vincent was our leasing person and he helped us thru the application process. We visited all of Peachtree Corners and Norcross before we found your place… It was when we went to Chick Fil A that we stumbled upon Crest. Perfect location for my work and daughters school. My daughter and Mr Vincent talked about her school and he mentioned he knew the principle. She was so excited. Less then 2 weeks you had movie night and we loved it. More events that keep us meeting neighbors. Do your have to connect google fiber or do we?
