The best New Atlanta attraction, besides the water fountain for humans and dog fountains, during the summer they have ice water. On their Super Saturday event they have petting zoos, free snow cones, Children and adult painting class, live DJ, board games, Bouncy house for the children, also a children flower/planting class, skin care giveaways and also everthing is totally free and fun besides the food truck which are awesome by the way. Just register online and its fun once a month all summer on their Super Saturday.
We paid good money to sit close to enjoy this concert. Got there early to find out Concert delayed what should have started at 4:00 p.m started at 6:00 p.m. Food extremely high with no good vendors to choose from standing in line over an hour to be told they are out of food. Very disappointed, we will not be coming to any concert here. Do not think about coming here. They do not know how to promote a concert venue. Concert was more talking and playing music. We need to be reimbursed. This was old school concert S.M.E.G on September 11th.
Great area next to MB stadium for tailgating! Restrooms are available adjacent to tailgating area. Different vendors are available if you prefer a day off from cooking pre-game. Several different pre-game activities are available for fans to enjoy. Music is provided by a great D.J.
SEMG concert: Overall the park and atmosphere was nice. The problem for me was you couldn’t bring food nor beverage in. Cool but the food vendors lines were long, running out of food while there were still long lines the only alcohol was beer and can beverage with 5 to 7 % alcohol. Drinking alcohol you need to eat. The event was sold out so the vendors quantity should have matched. It’s not that people we’re going to get seconds the reason they ran out of food, they couldn’t get everyone served the first time around. If food and small size coolers were allowed, that would’ve help with some of the long lines and running out of food issues. I read the park rules but I was hoping at least they could accommodate with mixed drinks and not running out of food. Now it is 7pm and have not seen anyone but the Whispers. I left about 7:30 hungry and needed something besides can alcohol to drink. You talking about a monkey wrench being thrown in my birthday celebration. I will return only if the food and beverage rules change.
Expensive to park but at least the attendant offered to sell us ponchos in the pouring down rain. Then I had to check my purse after the website said crossbody bags would be allowed 10$ for a baggy to put the contents of my purse into. At least they were well organized.
They dont have enough bathrooms and the food vendor lines were very long. Also they ran out of food and water. Parking in the red lot is $40, the blue lot was $15. Nothing is cheap here. Also the chairs were uncomfortable. They didnt start on time. This is my last concert with SEMG.
Surprisingly one of my favorite neighborhood places to visit. The programming is top notch, with Might Market being one of my favorites. The REI camp out was also another fantastic event. There is a kids play area located towards the Northside Dr side of the space that is open regardless of programming or events. The tailgating that happens here is epic, it almost makes you not want to go in the game. Particularly when the food is good. The suffer is limited, so buy tickets or get there early.Theres plenty of parking around, but in think the biggest perk of that its sandwiches between two MARTA stations (GWCC and Vine City)..Lastly, there are clean and well lit public restrooms. This is an easy recommendation.
The old school backyard concert was a big disappointment. It started 2 hours late. The Whispers song 3 songs and after that it was another 2 hours before we got another group. All of the groups that they brought on after the Whispers was local groups that should have came on at 4 when the show was supposed to start. This was the worst promotion. It couldnt stand up to the flashback concert back in the day. They need to give us a refund. It wasnt enough restroom nor enough food trucks to service everyone. How in the world the food truck people take out a tip for you standing in line for 2 hours. Very disappointing for the money that they were charging this shouldve been Wednesday wind down for free. Then tricked up like Johnny Gill was going to perform and all he did was make an appearance to introduce the legends. Kool and the gang and Maze another hour later. The Commodores didnt hit the mark without Lionel Richie. People start leaving they were bored and disappointed . We didnt even stay to wait on Maze. If we wanted to hear a DJ all night we couldve went to a club. A lot of people said that they will never pay for a concert with this production again. Thats the main reason we shouldve been able to bring our own food and drinks. It wouldnt have matter as much if they were drinking alchohol and eating. Instead of being tricked.
No social distancing, the concert started over an hour late the seating is tight and uncomfortable I paid $75 to sit extremely close to a stranger we are literally touching arms. Bought food from hole on the wall and it was horrible 😫 how can food be salty and bland at the same time this whole experience has been a hot mess. I hate it here
Purchased 13 tickets for the S.E.M.G event. Arrived @ 4 and had nowhere to sit. Finally found a spot but the show started almost 2 hours late. Watched the Whispers perform 3 songs then 3 local acts followed. Our entire party of 13 decided we had enough and left 30 mins into the show. This was the worse event we had ever experienced. The vendors were over priced and said they could not sell us 13 bottles of water because they needed to be able to have them for other concert attendees. WE ARE CONCERT ATTENDEES. The restroom lines were an hour wait and women started using the male restooms so they finally opened the restrooms in the stadium. The sound was awful and this was a disaster from the start. The promoters over-sold tickets and did not take in consideration social distancing due to Covid. Our party paid $700 for a 30min show and the venue was still selling tickets when we arrived. Whomever this promoters is should stop having events. I will NEVER go to another event hosted or promoted by DJ Niecy. They have no understanding of why we are upset or complaining and are too self absorbed into making and keeping money regardless of their short fall to give the people what they paid for. This concert was a HOTT MESS and thats an understatement. The Edmonsons Party of 13 Family Outing-Ruined
The concert was the worst experience. The bathrooms were super dirty. The sound from the microphones where terrible. I really want my money back. But I wont do the backyard anymore. The convert didnt start on time. Some food trucks ran out of food. It really sucked. 😞😞😖😖😖😔😔
I attended the Old School Saturday night concert at Home Depot backyard in Atlanta on Saturday. It was the worst concert I have ever attended. The promoter bragged about selling out the venue but couldnt produce a quality product for us, his paying supporters. The show started 2 hours late and they had sound problems all night. When Johnny Gill came on the stage and said he was not performing I left. The venue itself was nice, but the promoter, SEMG Events fell short in providing a memorable experience in a positive light. What does SEMG events stand for ? Quality product or rip off. As paying supporters we deserve a quality show or a refund.
It was a nice Vinyard, but the vendors ran out of food after 10PM. With paying $180 for a ticket, and 10 of my friends and family traveled to Georgia from Arizona to attend a concert to see Johnny Gill was not cool at all. Johnny Gill came on stage to announce he would not be performing. So I totally blame the promoter for this. We will be disputing this charge for false advertisement
I came here for the old school concert hosted by S.E.M.G if I ever see their name on anything I will not attend! So unorganized! We paid $100 each was there for over 3 hours only 1 performance came out. Not enough,, bathrooms and the vendors ran out of food before the concert even started!! They should issue refunds to everyone that attended.
Worst concert Old School Saturday Nite, I ever attended.2 hours late starting the show.Only half of The Whispers were present. The OJays & Johnny Gill didn’t perform. The Locals had longer time performing than the people who were supposed to be on the line. The sound was terrible, 45 minutes in-between sets.Frankie Beverly & Maze sung only 3 songs.Vendors were overpriced & ran out of food & water.Only 6 Trucks with 16,000 people present.Wait time over a hour to purchase food & long lines for bathrooms. This concert was Ridiculous!!!I want a full refund.SEMG Promoter is a SCAM!!!!@semgconcerts Kevin Jenkins
AWEFUL!!! Chairs so tight together you cant sit without your skin touching someone else. Bathrooms were out of order. Line for bathroom that worked wasc30 minutes. You cannot bring in food or drinks. Only sold beer and can wine. $10.00 for a can of wine. $7.09 for a bear. The lawn is flat so you are sitting on the ground looking at chairs. They search you and your purse. So you cannot sneak anything in.Horrible! $20.00 to park.DONT EVEN BOTHER!!!!
The location is great but the Ole school concert was terrible, the food service was terrible they didnt have enough food supplies, some of the toilets were out of order, and will not return to any event this promotion group show any where. Need to be refunded for 75% of the cost of the tickets. They didnt deliver on what was being advertised.
Parked here for the kanye west listening event. This is the best parking for the Mercedes Benz stadium. The attendees ensure you park with enough room to enter and leave. If you have a big vehicle park here instead of parking garages as well. Not alot of people park here but the pricing is well worth it.
Very very poor planning for the Old Skool concert. We were not allowed to bring food, but there were only 9 food trucks for 9k people. Incidentally, they ran out of food. I waited 1.5 hour to order and another 1.5 to get food that I really didnt want because we were not allowed to leave and return.
Enjoyed the wellness classes that I attended this week- Maxx Out w/DP and Hip Hop Yoga with Jaimee Ratliff. Both instructors were awesome. Ill definitely be back.I suggest bug spray if anyone decides to join the classes. The ants and mosquitoes helped to provide a true backyard experience.
The Atlanta festival back in May 29th and May 30th was cancelled due to COVID-19. I have requested a refund more than once, have called and called. They say its up to the Promoters. I understand that but they dont give who the Promoters are. Its crazy how we seen no concert but they keeping everybody money. Please help folks get their money back. Not good business at all.
This is wierd and I dont quite know what to make of it. Its just a section of Atlantas Mercedes Benz stadium. I didnt even know it had a special - clearly sponsored - name. Okay. I was close to this section due to where my seats were. But it was just like everywhere else as far as I could tell.
Today was my first time being at THD Backyard, and it did not disappoint. I saw it from afar before today...but up close, it beautiful. You cant even tell the GA Dome was ever there. Great views of the Stadium and the city all the way around. Looking forward to my next visit there!!!
Very good area for tailgaters before Atlanta United/Falcons games. There was a DJ and a BBQ vendor on site as well with a couple yard games set up like corn hole, connect 4 and a super size Jenga. There was also a booth to make poster before heading in to the stadium to show your team spirit. Home Depot was also on site with a booth doing giveaways.

2022-01-17Here for COVID testing. Appointments encouraged, but everyone who shows up ends up in the same line, so its really first come, first served. At an hour and fifteen minutes wait time so far, we might get out in under 2 hours. While appointments at CVS usually have ~30 minutes of waiting,at least they honor appointments. Use another location unless you have time to waste or cant get an appointment.

2021-04-28It’s a lovely grass lot in the shadow of the MBS. Although a bit pricey, it’s a perfect place to tailgate before and after a game at the Stadium. Easy in/out and plenty of room for passing the ball around with the kids. Very mild crowd, in my experience. Feels magical with the architecture of the Benz soaring above.
