The Home Depot in other cities:
I shopped the framing package for my house at Carrollton Home Depot and a local building supply. Carrollton Home Depot lost miserably. Trevor, the sales agent was arrogant and rushed me through the experience. He was much higher and disrespected my Disabled Veteran status. Veterans should return to their local building suppliers. They arent Globalists ...
This five is for John Ware in hardware. He had the most amazing customer service that I have experience in a long time. If you have any problems I would go to him. He will work his hardest to help you and will not stop until you have found a solution. You cant find help like that anymore. To John!
So, I have a night stand with 2 broken drawers. I tried a few things. Devised a plan and went to Home Depot.Out of the blue, an associate by the name of Carolyn asked if I needed help. We chatted. She simplified my plan. We agreed to meet the next day.Sure enough, Carolyn was there on day 2. She had an even better plan that she thought of after I left. For my part, I brought in my night stand. :)Between other customers, she measured this. She measured that. She looked for this screw and then that screw. We clarified the plan. I bought the materials. I packed up my night stand. Headed home.Carolyn was such a blessing! Its been a long time since Ive had that kind of service.!!!
Its a great place to get whatever you need for home renovations, small and big repair work, and many other things. I am sad that they took down the second story where the washing machines and dishwashers were. I used to always go up there with my dad when we would go there. I would definitely recommend going to The Home Depot for your next project. The employees are always helpful and kind. 10 out of 10 will go again.
I wait since 35 min to get 60 1x2x8 lifted down because the employees here are to lazy to fill the bays when they are empty. After I found an employee who can drive a forklift he is taking care of something else seeing that I still stand here waiting. I never gave a life review but after now 45 minutes waiting talking to 3 different people I think it is OK to do that. The lumber department guys at this store really need some training in customer service. If I would treat my customers like that I can close my business immediately. Oh by the way I spent every year at least 100k at your stores.
Best Experience Ive Had in a Home Depot in a long while!Associates , both in and out of the store, showed up right at the moment I needed them and went above and to help me.Thanks much, Jamal, Will, Dylan, the Young Lady at the cash register and associate in the store that help me load 800 square feet of vinyl on my cart! This store is 11 miles further than the normal one I go to, but the service was so great, I may just drive the extra miles just for the great service in the future!
My husband waited in the customer service line tonight for 20 min. There was three different workers having to help one person, he was ignored by them ALL. Customer service should not be this way ever. The management should staff workers with a supervisor over each department. A worker from the back finally came up to help him.
Tool rental customers beware! I rented a 6 wood chipper from Carrolton GA location for the weekend. I returned it because the engine just shut off for no reason and would not restart. This after having to tighten the belt because it was too loose to keep the RPMs up enough to chip 1 limbs. The Store is about an hour away from home and we worked on the thing for over an hour and I was charged for the whole weekend less a $20 credit they gave me!! The associate that helped me said he was covering for someone in the tool rental and had never worked in that department before and that he didnt know how to handle the credit. He called someone and then told me I could call back and complain about it. Only when I called back they said once the contract was closed (As soon as I checked out) there was nothing they could do. I was charged $181 rental fees for something that took my whole Friday evening to get and return and two hours of aggravation trying to get it to run and got maybe 10 minutes of chipping out of the whole deal.
My experience at Home Depot was terrible this is the second time I have went and tryed to get someone to wait on me and couldnt find anyone. This last visit I went to customer service and ask them to page someone to power tool, they never did then I ask one of the cashiers to page someone and she did, but no one ever showed up I was there for one hour I finally left!
Placed an order online for curbside pick up. Got there and let them know, emailed I was there, 15 minutes went by and called in, 15 more minutes went by and walked in and the customer service rep told me they did not know I was there. I will never try this again. curbside pick up is a joke.
Loving the new curbside pickup for online orders. Once I received the email stating my item had arrived at the store, I simply drove up and clicked on the link in the email to let them know I was there. In a few minutes my order was loaded and I never got out of the truck.
This location isnt my favorite. I never have any luck with the staff and only a few cashiers have been nice. We only go to Home Depot because the company my husband works for has an account there for job related purchases. I prefer doing my personal shopping elsewhere.
Ordered an oven August 28th they said the delivery date was September 5th. Called at 0630 on Sept 5th and was told delivery is between 12noon and 1600. No delivery happened. Was told that the delivery contractor called and left voicemail. They did not. Now left without even and stove and was told that the appliance would have to come back to the store before a refund. No help from the home depot team thats supposed to help. Just lost a lifelong customer.
I ordered Trex decking online for a deck I was building on Lake Wedowee. The website said I would get a call back from the Carrollton store to schedule delivery within 48 hours. 48 hours go by. No call. Red flag #1.I call the store, spoke with a very polite young woman who scheduled the delivery for 2/10/21. I paid extra for a 2 hour window in which it would be delivered. On the day of the scheduled delivery, my buddy and I take a day off work, drive 2 hours, get to the job site, only to get a phone call from the store asking to reschedule. (They apparently didn’t account for the physical size of the order and needed more space on the truck.) Red flag #2.I’m annoyed, but hey, no big deal. I speak with a very responsive young woman who helps me reschedule the delivery to Friday 2/12/21. But this time, she can’t give me a time window. I’ll need to be there all day. Another day off for 2 working adults, another 2 hour drive. Early morning drive from Atlanta to get there by 8:00. Noon rolls around. No delivery. I call the store to make sure that the delivery is happening. A very polite young man tells me it is DEFINITELY happening today. So we wait, albeit impatiently.Huge surprise: They never come. Red flag #3.I give up. This morning, I called the Carrollton store to cancel the order. They offer to reschedule the delivery. (HA!) On the phone, I’m told by a very polite young man that I can cancel the order, but they can’t charge it back to the card I ordered with. They can try to process a check refund, but that would probably take a few weeks. The only way, they say, to refund the money to my card is to drive to Carrollton. Keep in mind: I live 60 miles away. I have never set foot in this particular store. I ordered this online with a credit card, paid for my 2-hour delivery window via credit card on the phone, but I’m being asked to drive to the store to get my money back. Red flag #4So at this point, between my buddies and I, they have wasted 40 man-hours that would have been spent either at work or at home with our kids. Home Depot can refund my money, but there is really no way to make me whole with the time lost.Over the years, I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot. It has generally been my preferred hardware store. It’s slightly cheaper than my local hardware store, and they have everything. But their slightly cheaper prices can’t make up for 40 hours lost. Do yourself a favor on large orders, and buy them through your local hardware store or through Ace, which is franchised and owned locally. Like Home Depot, your local hardware store has very polite associates, but unlike Home Depot, there is no large corporate structure to insulate their employees from accountability in the event that you do not receive the goods or service you have paid for.
Honestly I’m surprised most times I shop here. I’ve never had someone helpfully answer a question, and not for a lack of asking. Any time I ask for assistance from a cashier such as using my veteran discount, the attitude I receive makes me think I’ve just inconvenienced them by shopping. And if you are going to buy enough supplies that you could use help loading it up, make the 1 minute drive to Lowe’s. Even if you ask the employees at the loading dock for assistance they just stare at you. No one asks to help or responds when I ask them, even if I have pallets of material to load. If it wasn’t for their selection of brands I like over what Lowe’s offers I would never shop here.
I visited our Carrollton Home Depot in regards to an issue that I had with my pine straw and mulch order. Rory was the manager on duty that day and I was so thankful that he was. He helped me with my issues and I was pleasantly surprised as to how much he generally cared about me as a customer. I’m just one person, but he treated me as though I was more than that. When I went out to the lot to pick up my revised order of pine straw.... Jamal and Koby were there on the spot and were so very friendly, courteous and professional that I even shared on Facebook for all to come visit them for their garden needs. The employees are only as good as their leader, and it is so obvious to me that this location is Blessed to have such a high standard management team. After all, this is THE HOME DEPOT.
More or less had what I needed. Employees were helpful but not fully knowledgeable about direction to send me in to find items. Social Distancing? Nope. Masks among employees or shoppers. Nope. If these things concern you, aim for Lowes. They seem to be doing a better job.
They had very few popular air filter maintenance items, (only the super expensive ones) They tried to charge me $4.50 each for bolts i bought later at Lowes for .97 each., even tho i tried to get the cashier to check the price on the shelf, ..ill just go on down to Lowes from now on...
Lionel in carpets was wonderful. Very helpful and patient as I worked through buying a rug I had never seen for someone else using only a picture.Great experience and even better customer service. I like the remodel of the front customer service area, much easier to access and utilize.
I really like Home Depot, this particular Home Depot definitely has its issues. Most of the staff I have dealt with have not been very friendly, not that they werent helpful by no means. And the self check out only, always having issues with something and having to stop after checking out to prove that I paid for everything at the door not cool
Associates never spoke a word to us but walked right up close & personal....first 3 male associates then 2 more.. another male and a female and were talking to each other about how we had to move out of their way so they could do their job and put gates right in front of us...the other male associates refused to move out of my way to even see the items or the sign for them that I was trying to buy... Not a single one of the 5 said hello or offered help. Even walked into my cart. The manager came but didnt even really care... Bad customer service all around!!
Its a pretty good Home Depot with the products they carry in the staff that they have they also have tool rental with hand tools all the way up to heavy machinery. Make sure that you check out the machine before you take it out I have had issues in the past. Staff is helpful when you can find them. They have their good days and bad days just like any other store.
This store almost seems more of a contractor store to me. They have some pretty good seasonal deals, and I still shop here a good bit.I wouldnt recommend ordering appliances online though. I had a bad experience with that already, and wont be doing it again. Should have read the reviews I guess.
The reason this doesnt get five stars is because Im a home owner. You homeowners know what I mean. You walk in this place knowing its gonna hurt the wallet. Luckily they really do have low prices so you feel like it hurts less.More importantly they have a far better Christmas tree selection and service than others.
Completely disappointed with the entire team, including upper management. They allowed us to order and pay for 10 windows even though they were not in stock. They scheduled a will-call pickup for my contractor 2 days ago and they still don’t have a plan. I found these 10 windows (7 in Hiram and 4 in Austell). Why couldn’t they do this? This is only 30 minutes away and they will not even send a truck to get them. We live 7 hours away and they are completely unresponsive. Completely unacceptable! Worst customer service ever!
In June of 2015, my wife and I went to this store to purchase a new washer, dryer, dish washer, kitchen cabinets, a front door and other items. When they delivered our washer and dryer, everything went well, and I chose to install our dishwasher with a local friend and after I did, my wife came home from work to find it was not the color she had expected and she called the manager of this location, where we have been doing business since they opened so many years ago. We got the service we have come to expect from them, they said for us to use the one we installed, and they would send the color she wanted the next week, which they did. I do not know of any other company who would go out of their way to make sure a customer was totally satisfied, but we have always been satisfied by their kind personal, and so professional service. I would recommend this Home Depot to anyone and hope the best for all the employees there who make me feel at home always.
The young lady that gave me my online order was friendly and professional. However I ordered online to do the bring to your car service. I checked in and waited but no one brought it to my car. I had to go in for it. If you arent able to because of covid 19 just dont offer the service.
Well after my experience today, you finally converted me from a loyal HD customer to Lowes.Went to purchase the materials (about $350 worth) to build a bed. I loaded up my cart with paint, stain, electrical outlets and boxes, wire, and hardware. I went to the lumber section to finish up and started looking at the 2x8s. They were on the second shelf from the bottom and the stock was pretty low so I pick through almost all of them to find some worth using. Now, heres my biggest problem and what finally did me in... Im a big guy and dont mind doing things on my own but I was struggling to reach the lumber I needed. At least 3 HD associates walked right by me and not 1 asked me if I need help, or offered to call someone over. This isnt the first time this has happened here, but it will definitely be the last. I left my loaded cart in front of the 2x8s and headed to Lowes. Their lumber was much better quality and I was asked several times if i needed help. Plus, whoever thought it was a good idea to get rid of all the cashiers and replace them with self checkout is a moron. Home Depot is not the store it used to be.
There was an older gentleman in there that help me adapt water line over to a garden hose he was very intelligent very likable and it turned out he was very right the application fit perfectly and my project was a success for one time I have been happy with the Home Depot this is it
Tried to find out if you had a stove at your Villarica Ga location the phone rang 120 times had to call back the appliance guy out to lunch no one else could help this is terrible customer service an I am a stock holder someone needs to step up manager needs to work weekends and answer phones and help customers if the people they employee cant
Couldnt get any help. All the kids working there were just talking to each other. Ignoring other customers also, not just myself.I asked someone to help me hinges. Cause I couldnt find the ones I was looking for. The kid told me they didnt sell anything like that. And he just continued to stare at me... I dont understand why all the retail places keep hiring these kids who dont want to do anything except stay on their phones
Very visible from the road. A warm greeting as we walked in and a greeter to direct us to the section we were looking for. Plenty of staff to help us. Store was decorated for the holidays with trees outdoor for sale. Many items on sale or clearance. Was disappointed I did not find a Luci solar light.
Home Depot in Carrollton Ga. Is organized & has a great selection of building materials, plus so many products for your home. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about their store. I could stay in Home Depot all day looking & wishing for my tiny home dream to come true 1 day. One of my favorite places to go, shop, & look. Love their garden section. Awesome!!!
I spoke to the manager Doug today about the 20 mins I waited for someone to do a phone sell for me. And I dont feel he cared about my complaint. And the more I think think about t the more I realize it all fall back upon poor Management. In fact if cant do any better than that then you shouldnt even try.
So my husband and daughter(11yrs old) went to this home depot to buy 80 2x4, 6 4x4, and some rolls of fence. They had serval associates (probably 10 employees and the pro cashier) pass by them and did not offer to help them load the materials. They even saw the 11yr old girl trying to help her dad load it and didnt even offer. We have spent a ton of money on this fence and products from this home depot. I called the manager (Doug) to get him to address the issue but in all honesty it did not feel like he cared or realized how wrong this was.I remember when you used to walk in Home Depot and every corner you turned there was an employee there to help. Guess their customer goals/skills has changed a lot.
Worst experience ever with their door and flooring department. Just moved to a new house need to do some repairs new entry doors flooring dropped over 5k in a month. Special promotion buy this floor guarantee install in 7 days from purchase 3 weeks after purchase we get a schedule date for our carpet instal. Not home depots fault the people they contract cant keep up with orders... according to a manager we are out of luck. Part 2 doors. Order 2 doors front and rear come out measure get the doors custom built waiting no problem install day. They send installer to house with one door and no hardware... drive 40mins back to get the rest of the product. Time to instal rear door. Doesnt fit due to incorrect door size 2 big. Home depot says 3 weeks before new door can be made and itll cost a other install and door fee. Manager Chris is the worst in customer service and is being reported to corporate for his I dont care not my house not my problem give me money attitude. And we are left with a hole in our house for 3 weeks with 2 dogs and 5 month old.
Home depot gets 1 star for a lack of customer service!I went there today to get a gallon of paint. When I went to check out, there were NO cashiers.Apparently home depot thinks its a good idea for everyone to just use the self checkout lanes. They have removed all cashier lanes.Heres the problem I have with self checkout.1. This creates a higher unemployment rate because now cashiers are losing their jobs. Most of the cashiers are middle aged to seniors who are in dire need of employment.2. Home depot DOES NOT pay customers for using the self checkout in any way shape or form.3. Home depot HAS NOT lowered their prices on any of their products since they no longer have to pay cashiers. All of the stores using self checkouts or kiosks are literally saving millions of dollars every year because of cutting these jobs. They no longer have to pay the hourly wages, pay or contribute to benefits and they save money every year because they no longer have to invest in the employees required training. With the loss of these jobs they are able to cut jobs in other areas as well. With fewer employees you need fewer HR, admin and instructors.I know it is more convenient to use the self checkout lanes, but please before you do, think of the impact this will have on the future of employment.I will never use the self checkout lane in any store. I will go to customer service to make them take care of my transaction as it should be.
Dont go to the paint department and ask any questions because the guy is so rude. I had questions about deck stain and what I was asking he just got like I was bothering him so I just walked off. Never again will he talk to me in that store like that when Im trying to just ask for some advice and help on what my choices are.
I am on oxygen, went to home depot in carrollton, young man in the front of paint are sent me all the way to back of store for dryer heating element got back there and no elements,so asked a lady where can I find it and she said we do not carry dryer element. Gave me a card and said call this number they will come to your house, asked for how much, her reply was I have no ideals. People need to be more informed of what products you carry.
The people that I have met that work there over the last 7 years have been great. Jeff and Harold in the Lumber yard are enthusiastic to help people get what they need. Never have a problem getting help loading the supplies. It is my store of choice when getting building supplies.
Spent $1,900 on flooring for my house. They had a price marked and then when it came time for me to buy it they said they had to talked to the manager and was gone for 45 min like they wanted me to leave to change the price back. We went to checkout and they were offering a promotional finance amount that would qualify me for 18 months 0%. My wife got approved and the bill came in with 6 months interest free. Then to top it off they added me to the account and dinged my credit for 20 point without any authorization what so ever. They are false advertising liars.
The cashier at customer service was nice but the guy that helped with the straw was not very friendly the lady told me that they probley had something i could lay in my back seat so it wouldnt get in my seats so bad like plastic i ask him he said nope and didnt look didnt try to help or nothing just not friendly or helpful!!
Full parking lot. Aisles of people wandering, looking for help. Lines at the paint and door and window areas. The store seemed short-staffed for the number of customers in the store. The three staff members that I interacted with seemed a bit overwhelmed. I finally left one area after realizing the wait was too long.
WISHED I HAD WENT TO LOWES FOR APPLIANCES! Brand new Dishwasher can’t use it because the door won’t open. I was told by the delivery guy, It won’t open unless you mount it. The brackets to mount it is in The dishwasher. Home Depot doesn’t have a clue. LG says it’s Home Depot’s problem. I’m about to call a News team 🤬
Normally I would give HD a 5 star rating, but after taking a 4 month old hand held blower to get repairs, that end of the store only get a high 2 star after the MOD gave me 1/2 off the so called repair and the was no communication between anyone at the store and myself, even after stopping by several times over a 2 month period trying to find out something, anything about my little machine, I will take any further repair work elsewhere
I purchase a Worldpool Refrigerator and bought the 5 year warranty from Home Depot. About a 1 1/2 later condensation starting building up on the top of the gasket on the freezer drawer. Tech came out in June 28, 2017. He tried but could not fix. Then two more techs came out twice in July and all had different opinions but no fix. I called again and another tech came out and was to put on a new gasket but he said he could not install because gasket was made into door. This repair company said they could not come out since they stop working on Worldpool Refrigerators. So, I called the Asurion (administrator of Home Depot Repair), they got an appointment with Mr. Appliance out of Douglasville, GA. Their repair tech came out and was baffled but said they would order new French doors (costing $800 and $400) ... this was on August 11, 2017.Mr. Appliance ordered the doors but wrong color on 8-22-17. I have not heard from them so I called today 9-20-17 and Mr. Appliance said the doors had to be manufactured and did not have a date for me.During August, I called the Home Depot Store talked with Wayne and he tried to help but just referred me back to Asurion.Ive tried to be patient but it has been a nightmare. Home Depot could help but they are just passing the buck.To summarize ... Ive had 4 techs out to repair with no results, Ive called HD store with no results, and now the repair company Mr. Appliance just says they dont know when the doors will come in.On another note, I went to HD store and showed the assistant manager, Wayne, the same model on the floor and it had the same condensation as mine at home. This is a manufacturer defect.Do not purchase Worldpool RefrigeratorWRF7365DAM
Saw this post by a friend on Facebook and just thought you guys should see it!I have never seen anyone work as hardin retail as Shaun at the paint counter at Carrollton Home Depot tonight. It was the last night of the$10/gal rebate opportunity and I stood in line for 45 minutes while he worked and worked. He has no need for a gym membership as long as he has that many 5 gallon cans of paint to heft, shake and tint. I wish everyone put that much into customer service. No need to ask whos next either. He knew his crowd.
Never enough handicap power buggy. Not enough QUALIFIED people to help a customer, when you get someone to help they cant because dont know about product line. Handicap buggy is a big problem. 1 broken now over a month the store needs a lot more than 4 but only 3 work if charged, that is another problem. It just never ends. I am sure HD can afford th have a minimum of 8 to 10 in a store this size.
Generally speaking, big box stores can be frustrating at best when needing help. I would say our store in Carrollton is as good as they come. Ive rarely had an orange apron run away from me and I have found a few real experts when I had questions. In particular, Jeremy, who runs the paint department, is dynamite! Hes offered real solutions and good information when I needed it. Ive dealt with other name-brand paint stores and other big box stores where I wasnt as fortunate. Its nice to spend your money where you think someone genuinely cares about the outcome of your project.-JAG II
CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS TOTALLY TANKED! HAD TO PAY A 1.90 MORE FOR OSB BOARD BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET HELP AND HAD TO TAKE THE MORE EXPENSIVE BOARD FROM THE BOTTOM TO MAKE MY PURCHASE. .... NOT TO MENTION I HAD TO WAIT OVER 20 MINUTES TO GET HELP LOADING. NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE BUSY , IT WAS BECAUSE NO ONE WAS THERE AND NO ONE BOTHERED TO COME. .... WHATS UP?
Three Augers rented, All 3 had issues, however; Management (being Honest, Fair, & Just); Credited our Home BoyDepot pro services card and tag All 3- Do Not Rent Until Fixed, thank you Sir/Maam Management. (Side note: please check All Bits when renting & Make sure Equipment Operates Properly Under A Load).ty.
I called before driving all the way from Newnan in order to make sure that they had a lift in stock. The girl tells me yes. Then I drive all the way to Carrollton and they where wrong, they did not have it. I waste an hour and a half with the time I spent waiting in line. Horrid employees, and store.
I went the Carrollton Ga store ask for direction to the electrical fans. The cashier saw an employee alking by and ask him to help me. He was very kind and walked me back to the section. Heled me make selection for the newWGBC in Temple Ga. He s kind enough to get buggy to put the four celling Fans in. Returned to the same lady that got me the helpI needed, checked out and on my way in 15 minutes. Very satisfied.Robert D. Gardner,80 McCluer CircleBuchanna Ga 30113
Nice place to get stuff for all of your projects, but trying to get what you need can be a hassle sometimes,I had to go under the orange ladder and up on it just to get totes and tote lids,I told the sales associate about this, she thought it was no big deal, dont leave ladders in the road of misc.

2022-04-02Once again another trip to home depot. I love to just look at all the new products. Im familiar with the store and find they have a decent selection. Ill be back there by the weeks end. Like I posted before the employees are all very nice and helpful. Wish it was a little closer or stayed open later but I dont have anything bad to say all my trips have been great.

2022-06-08Our daughter fell in the parking lot and the employees were so attentive that a young man brought us in and helped us bandage up her knees and get her cleaned up. There were two young girls there talking to her and cheering her up as well. The weekend staff was amazing and so attentive and eager to help. My husband had an ENTIRELY different experience when he went back to return things on Sunday. But EVERY person who helped us that Friday and saturday was wonderful

2022-05-03I always buy my mom a variety of flowers to plant each year for Mothers Day and they always have an awesome variety of sizes, types, and the prices fit my budget. We spend the day before Mothers Day planting the flowers so my mom can wake up and enjoy her flowers on her special day! This location has very friendly staff to help.

2022-05-04If Im being honest I gave 3 stars because my experience lacked in two major areas. The employee lacked the product knowledge for the department he was in. My husband had to face time him and tell him what and where the part was he needed. And product placement.. we had to go to 3 different areas to find male fittings for piping.. I have about 10 years sales experience and will give credit where its do. The employee really went above and beyond to help us but I could tell he was flustered.. big cooperations like that have no excuse for lack of training.

2022-04-12Not a great experience ordering Hardie board siding and trim. Materials delivered broken and spent over an hour on the phone trying to get it resolved.

2022-06-14Hectic hard to find items sometimes. With very few people trying to do the work of many so much is out of place.. but.. they still have great service and want to help.

2022-06-18We went in today and my husband asked two of the employees for a tool. Both of this employees were rude and not helpful at all.
